Tez sat there on the edge of the treehouse's balcony it had. Overlooking the sea from his vantage point. I was a nice view from where he was sitting. He might've appeared to be like an overgrown kid sitting there but he didn't care. He WAS only twenty after all. It's not like he was in his thirties or what not. His brown eyes scanned the ground below for any sign of movement.
From what he heard, his sister mentioned this place being ultimately peaceful. Hardly any Heartless came to this world. After all, this was the Keyblade Master's homeworld. Of course the place would be depleted of Heartless. He folded his arms across his chest as he sat where he was. He could easily slide off from where he was to land down below on the wooden pathway that led to the small wooden ship ahead.
Also, the docks were close by as well as the Secret Place. Tez hadn't been able to wander into that area just yet. Heck, he wasn't exactly sure if he'd be able to squeeze in there. His black long sleeve shirt was tied to his waist as he had on only his red button up t-shirt. It had been so hot here that he actually had it open. Letting the sea breeze cool him down. It was hot out here. Hence, why he was up near the treehouse where shade was the most abundant. He'd go in the water but didn't feel like it and was already too tired to do so. He was about to lean back and maybe nap when movement in the corner of his eye on the beach made him more aware.

A little off the side of the tree house, a young girl of 17 was fast asleep under a large palm tree. She lay flat on her back underneath the shade of the large tree, she looked very peaceful and remained very still. Well for a little while anyway, for the girl, known as Lily soon awoke to the sound of waves crashing against the beach and the seagulls that flew around the area.
She groaned as she sat up, the way she had fallen asleep had hurt her back a little. At first she couldn't remember how she had ended up falling asleep here, though it all came back to her after a little thought. She remembered coming to Destiny Islands in the morning like she did often, surprised to find that it was fairly hot out. And to cool off, she had lay down underneath a palm tree where there was alot of shade. And that was it.
So apparently she had fallen asleep fairly quickly after that, which she herself thought to be odd, considering she didn't remember being at all tired when she got here. It also seemed she had been asleep for quite a while.
Lily then took a minute to brush sand off of herself, then she carefully stood up. Though it seemed that she still wasn't fully awake, for she kind just flopped back into the sand soon after. So she just stayed, sitting there. She was going to wait until she was ready to try and stand up again.

The movement wasn't too far from where he was. Tez could clearly see that as he turned his head to glance in that general direction. He blinked for a bit at whom this was. It was taking him a little longer than usual to register in his mind whom this was. It was Lily, Seff's best friend. So, the girl hung around here as well.
The seventeen year old had the appearance as though she had been sleeping. He mentally snickered at that. The heat was THAT bad. Heck, the heat was beginning to make him slightly drowsy but he wasn't going to let it win. Lily made to get up but she simply flopped back down soon after. Tez stretched in his little spot he was hiding in as he peered over at the waves for a brief time. Wondering when the last time he bothered to sit down and enjoy such things.
Well, since he was here he thought it best if he went and greeted Lily since he knew her. He didn't want to seem rude by not saying anything at all until she noticed him. It'd probably be even more awkward if he didn't. The poor young girl might think he was stalking her when in fact he wasn't. It was then that the wooden balcony of the tree house started to creak threateningly.
Tez's back straightened up as his eyes widened. "Oh no!" he managed to say right before the wood holding him up had cracked and gave way. Now, he found himself ungracefully face flat on the ground below. "Ugh!" he said aloud. Pushing himself off of the ground before shaking his head and then rubbing his sore face. That was a nice fall.

At the moment, Lily still hadn't realized that there was anyone else around the area, so she just continued to just sit there underneath the palm tree. She felt drowsy, hot, and somewhat bored as she sat. She began digging her feet into the sand just out of shear boredom.
Sitting there, Lily began to plan out what she would do next. She figured she would wait a few more minutes before she tried standing again, and once she was sure she was in a good condition to start walking, she would head off somewhere else, unless she found something interesting to do here, that is.
A rather frighted Lily, twitched a bit, as the silence of her thoughts was quickly broken by the sound of..well, she wasn't sure what it was really. It sounded like a bit of a crash or something. She turned her head in the direction in which the noise had come from, only to see a young man face flat on the ground.
Her first instinct was to see if they were alright, which was what she was going to do. She scooted closer to the trunk of the tree she had been sitting under, and carefully got up on her knees. She grabbed the trunk of the tree and slowly used it to help herself off the ground.
She waited for another second or two, then she slowly began walking over to where the boy was. So far she was doing pretty well, and she didn't feel like she would fall over or anything.
By the time she had reached him, he had already begun to push himself off of the ground. "Are you alright..." She began to say, but once she got a look at him, she paused. "..Tez?" She said slowly, with an eyebrow raised. Either she was crazy, or this guy looked exactly like her best friend's brother.

Tez rubbed his face a bit more as he gave a slight wince from that fall he just had. The poor guy almost had a heart attack when a voice came from nearby. Jolting, Tez fell backwards as he blinked up to find Lily there. He breathed in before laughing a little. "Heheh! Hi Lily!" he replied. Sitting back up, forgetting his red button up t-shirt was open and he had no shirt underneath it.
Tez rubbed the back of his head before saying "Sorry if I startled you." Boy did he feel sheepish right now. That fall was something, alright. Looking around, he then asked her "So....how're you doing?" He brought his brown eyes from the crashing waves back over to Lily again. Not taking much notice of the extra breeze he was feeling since he had gotten used to it from having to let his t-shirt be left unbuttoned.
There was no mistaking that it was Tez. Who else walked around with the same dragon tattoo upon his neck and a choker with a white cross in the middle? He wasn't thinking too clearly at the moment because of the heat. Tez decided to get to his feet. Feeling slightly dizzy as he did so.
He waited for Lily to respond. He knew how Seff and Lily were best friends. The girl seemed nice enough. "Oh! and the answer to your question is, I'm alright! Heheh!" he said after having just registered it.

Lily couldn't help but laugh at the situation. First, she had fallen asleep underneath a palm tree for a few hours, and then she runs into her best friend's brother, who seemed to have fallen from the tree house, that was pretty much above where they were. Well, what and interesting day, this had already turned out to be. She could only wonder what might happen next.
"Heh, Hi Tez." She said, after she had stopped laughing, she hadn't been laughing that hard anyway. And she wasn't laughing at Tez or anything like that either, just at the oddness of the situation in general.
"Uh..., I'm doing alright I guess. What about you..? I mean, besides that fall and everything." She chuckled slightly, then observed him a bit. She was mainly just looking for any scratches or bruises on him, but it didn't seem that the fall had hurt him all that badly, well it could've been a lot worse at least.
Soon though, her eyes wandered to the dragon tattoo on his neck. Hm, it was certainly interesting. She wondered if that had hurt at all. Soon after though, she realized she had been staring at him and quickly looked off in another direction. Her face turned a dark shade of red, she hoped he didn't get the impression she had been looking at his chest or something, which she hadn't.

Tez blinked as the other laughed. To him, it didn't appear as though she was laughing at him in particular but laughing at how strange this all was. The dizziness he had been feeling soon lifted. That was good, he didn't need to end up passing out. That would be even more embarrassing and awkward. Tez still hadn't realized he had his shirt opened up at the moment.
His attention was mostly on Lily when she spoke. Tez was making sure he heard every word because the heat was making him dull witted. "Oh, I'm doing alright....just sitting around and enjoying the day here....too bad I ended up flat on my face not too long ago!" he joked. A strange feeling crept up as he felt what seemed to be eyes looking at a certain part of him.
Tez peered back at Lily with a slightly raised eyebrow. Lily must've been looking for any injuries. Heck, Tez wasn't affected by that fall much except for a stinging sensation on the face which he had rubbed away not too long ago. He was more endurable to pain. Hence, why he was able to stand having the needle that drew his tattoo onto his neck. The neck being one of the most sensitive areas of a person's body.
It was then that it felt like her eyes were lingering on one spot a bit too long. As if realizing what she had been doing, Lily looked away almost immediately. Her face having gone a dark red color. Tez was taken aback by this. If she wanted to know about his tattoo he'd gladly answer any questions she had. After all, that's where he sensed the feeling had been coming from. Her eyes had been on the dragon tattoo.
"Uh....Lily? You alright?" he asked uncertainly. Not at all having thought of her er...checking him out. Still oblivious to the fact his shirt was unbuttoned which made conversations very awkward when the one noticed but the other person hadn't.

Lily, kept her gaze away from Tez for quite a few seconds after that, but once he asked if she was alright, she made herself look at him. Which really wasn't that hard now, because the embarrassment of that moment had pretty much worn off already.
"Uh.., I uh.., Yeah sure.., I just got distracted by something is all.." She said, with a laugh that contained a mix of nervousness and embarrassment.
Okay, so maybe the embarrassment of the moment hadn't worn off just yet. Well, it was either that, or she was just having a hard time coming up with an excuse for her nervousness. Yeah, that was probably it.
"Erm..so.., when did you get that tattoo?" She asked, Half because she was truly curious, and half because she just wanted to get past the awkwardness of that last moment.

Tez raised an eyebrow at Lily's awkwardness. Why was she embarrassed? Tez mentally shook his head as he registered that she had been staring at him for a bit without meaning to. Lily hesitantly explained what was the matter. She still looked over at him when he asked so maybe her embarrassment wasn't all that bad.
It made Tez even feel awkward. Not expecting her to react in such a way. He stood there as she then asked him when he got his tattoo. Tez smiled at the memory. When did he get it again? He had to think back on it. "Well...I was around fifteen when I got it....my sister drew it for me and I had the tattoo artists draw it on. About five years ago!" he told her. Glad to have something to talk about.
Was it him or did she just changed he subject? Oh well, no harm in that. What a typical male he was. Too ignorant to notice anything like this but noticed other things. It was a wonder how he managed to get through tight spots.

Lily let out a sigh of relief when Tez went along with her subject change. She didn't know if he had realized that she had changed the subject or not, but all that really mattered to her was that he went along with the change anyway. The faster and easier she could get that odd moment out of her mind, the better.
"Oh, really? Well, was it painful to get it?" Lily asked him. Referring to the tattoo on his neck.
Right away, Lily believed Tez when he had said that his sister Seff had drawn the design for the tattoo. Seff had shown her some of her drawings once, Lily never forgot because she had found them to be so amazing. Seff was one of the most talented artists that she had met, the other was her sister Juliet. Though she really hadn't met many other people who drew, those two really did have some talent.
"Oh, and just curious, but where's Seff today?" She added afterwards. Trying to keep conversations going. And she was also curious as to where her friend was.

Tez hadn't noticed that sigh of relief coming from Lily. He was too busy thinking about how the tattoo was drawn onto his skin in the first place. He was definitely going with whatever she asked him. Oblivious to how awkward the other felt back there. Once again, typical male! Tez never really noticed too much unless it was right in front of his face.
He smirked slightly upon hearing the next question. Did it hurt? Well, Tez used to be a major brawler when he was younger. A simple thing like that hadn't hurt him much. "Well...no....actually, it sort of felt like an uncomfortable rough finger trying to tickle my neck!" he answered. However, he did feel pain. He wasn't immune to pain. After all, that fall back there left him with a stinging feeling on his face still.
Seff drew a lot during her spare time. He always wondered how she managed to become whole. Seff never told him and when he asked her, she would change the subject or refuse to answer him. Sometimes, she appeared devastated about something and he'd ask her if it was about their family. Seff would just shake her head and not reply. Just what was going through his sister's mind? Tez wasn't exactly sure.
He was brought back to the present when Lily questioned him about Seff. "Oh, she's doing just fine. Hanging around with Raina, as usual. Though...sometimes she makes me wonder...like, she has these odd episodes where she's got this saddened expression...I keep asking her if it's about the family but she says no. I don't know what's wrong with her!" he answered Lily's question. Giving a shrug after saying that about Seff.

Lily thought Tez's description of what it felt like when he got the tattoo was pretty interesting. She had always thought getting a tattoo was fairly painful, or at least that was what she had heard. Or maybe he just could handle pain well. Lily sure didn't. And even if she could handle pain well, she probably wouldn't get a tattoo anyway, it just wasn't her thing. Of course who knew, her mind could change eventually.
..Though she doubted it. She tended to be a bit of a wimp sometimes.
Once there was a short pause in conversation, Lily had time to think. It was funny how odd all of this was. She never thought that she would be here just talking to Tez like this. He seemed pretty nice, though she really didn't know him well. But it just felt kind of weird to be talking to him while Seff wasn't around. Though all in all, this could be a chance to get to know him better. Lily liked getting to know people, and making new friends on her travels, so this was no big deal.
"Oh.." Lily said softly, after listening to what Tez had to say about Seff. A bit of a worried expression was on her face. "Hm, well that's kind of odd, do you think she's alright?" She asked with concern.

Tez could handle pain but he also felt pain too. A mere tattoo wouldn't have affected him but nearly getting one's rear zapped off and he'd notice. He faced a lot of battles. He thanked his lucky stars he could heal himself. Tez was the one that taught Seff how to heal herself. Heck, he taught her all she needed to know.
Seff still wasn't at his level just yet. Her powers were much younger than his were. By two years. He wondered if his sister would be alright. These days, she made him wonder. It was kind of strange he found himself bumping into Seff's best friend. However, he didn't mind. Lily was very nice to talk to. Odd how days like this were.
He shrugged when Lilyy asked him if he thought Seff would be alright. He could clearly see the worried expression upon her face. "...I honestly don't know...she seems alright health wise....but emotionally....I really don't know for sure!" Tez said in all honesty. Maybe his sister lost a friend? Or.....since she was older....maybe she lost someoen she actually loved.
Those seemed to be the only two likely options. "Hmm...maybe she lost a friend? Or....lost someone er....more special!" he guessed. Finding it awkward to mention that his sister might've had a boyfriend in the past.

It took Lily a second or two to realize what Tez meant by 'someone special', and once she did, she immediately shook her head.
"Hm.., No, I'm pretty sure it's nothing like that. I mean, she would usually tell me something like that, and it hasn't been that long since I last spoke to her. So no, that's probably not the problem. Maybe you could.. I dunno, try a different approach when talking to her or something. Seff is usually pretty easy to talk to when she wants to talk about something, so maybe try to gently get information out of her or something.." Lily said with a shrug.
"Though maybe she'll just tell you what's bothering her when she's ready too." She added. From what she could remember, Lily couldn't recall Seff telling her about anything bad happening recently, so she really had no idea what could be bothering her. It was as much of a mystery to her as it was to Tez.
Looking around, Lily took in the familiar sights of the beach. She watched and admired the waves of the ocean, she felt like getting closer, but she didn't want to leave Tez all by himself either. "Hey.., do you want to take a walk down by the water or something?" She asked, shrugging once again.

Tez looked over to Lily when she mentioned that it wasn't that. He wasn't exactly sure. He knew his sister was capable of hiding those sort of things from others. "You sure? I mean, she hasn't mentioned someone's name around you or anything?" he questioned. He still thought that this could be one answer.
It was then that she told him to slowly wheedle the information out of Seff. Easy for her to say. Tez was sure Seff wouldn't mention anything to her before telling a friend. After all, Raina knew more than Tez already. After all, Seff and the dragon were linked together telepathically. Maybe....maybe he could ask the dragon when Seff wasn't around.
Sadly, that was like...never. He nodded in response to what Lily was telling him on how to learn what was up with Seff. "I guess you're right...then again....if nothing comes up either way...I can try to ask Raina!" he said. It was then that Lily asked him if he wanted to go for a walk on the beach.
It was a very good thing he never made instant assumptions when hearing questions like these. He shrugged back in response before saying "...Alright, sounds good to me!" It was then that he wondered how Lily tended to act. After all, he hardly knew her. So far, she was a very amiable and caring person.

"Erm..Well, yeah I'm pretty sure. I don't remember her mentioning anyone, though my memory isn't always the best at times. Though who knows maybe there is..a uh..special person in her life or something.., and she just didn't mention it.." Lily said.
She figured Seff would tell her something like that, considering how close they were, but still, there was always the possibility that she just didn't want to, or didn't know how to tell her. If there was even anything for Seff to tell her that is.
"That's an idea I guess." She said, when Tez had said that he could try asking Raina for information. "Though that might be a hard plan to carry out. I mean Raina is almost always by Seff's side, and Seff would probably find it suspicious if you tried to talk to Raina alone, but yeah, you could still give it a try if nothing else works."
"Okay, follow me then!" She said happily as she practically ran down to the ocean. She was happy that she could go down to the water, and that she wouldn't have to leave Tez behind. She would feel too bad to do that.

Tez nodded slowly before shrugging. "I just don't know what's bothering her...I mean, I'm family...I can help her get through the hard times if she'd just confide with me about what's troubling her...It's sad she hasn't told even you..." he said. Feeling slightly troubled about Seff.
He took Lily's word for it. Seff would probably tell her more so than Tez if it were something like that. Since, well...Lily WAS a girl. The only likely person to have girl talk with than her brother. He took his mind off of that before hearing Lily saying it being nearly impossible to ask Raina. Of course, he knew this.
"Yeah...it's kind of hard to catch Raina alone when she's around Seff...VERY hard!" he agreed. He started to glance at the crashing waves before Lily ran off for the water. Tez took a few seconds to register that the other already asked for him to follow before running off like she had.
Tez ran after her. "H-hey! Wait for me!" he exclaimed like a five year old would do. He wondered why the hell he just said that. 'Uh...maybe the heat's still getting to me?' he wondered.

Lily had been running so fast, when it was time for her to stop, she nearly fell over in the process. And that wouldn't have been fun, for she mostly likely would've fallen right into the water. Which really wasn't something she wanted to do today.
She stood in her spot for a moment, her heart was beating quite loudly in her chest, and her face was a bit red. But she couldn't figure out if it was because of the running, or the shock from almost falling in the water. "Heh..sorry..about that." She called out to Tez, who she assumed was probably following behind her now.
She felt a bit out of breath, and her throat even hurt a bit but she figured it would pass soon. Maybe she had gotten just a little too excited. Ah well, there was no harm in that.
"Hm, well like I said just try to give her time and she will probably come around. That's all I can really think of, because I haven't the slightest clue what could be bothering her." Lily said, getting back onto the subject of Seff for the moment. Due to the fact that her throat was feeling sore and she was still feeling a bit out of breath, she wasn't able to talk as loud as she would've wanted to, but she hoped that Tez was able to hear everything that she had said.
As she waited for Tez to reach her, Lily looked out at the ocean. She watched as foamy blue-green waves crashed on the beach. It was almost hypnotizing to watch today for some reason. But Lily wasn't going to think about it, she was just going to enjoy it. She was standing at what she felt was a good distance away from the water. She was close enough that her toes could get wet, but not her feet entirely. The water was far too cold for that.

Tez ran as much as the heat here would allow him to. After all, he was a fire elemental and running around in the scorching heat made him a bit light headed. When he caught up with Lily he had almost collapsed. 'Man, this place is almost as hot as Agrabah!' he thought as he breathed for a bit. Taking in wind. He didn't look over at Lily until she said something about being sorry.
He wasn't sweating but he was tuckered from the added heat. His brown eyes strayed towards the water as he breathed for a bit. Tez wouldn't dare touch the water just yet. It could shock him. Then again, maybe not. He walked a bit closer to it. Bending down and touching the water that flowed up onto the shore with his hands which still had the biker gloves on. Breathing more normally as he felt the cool water almost go through him from that simple touch.
"It's alright!" he said, not looking over at Lily right now. His eyes had gone across the crests of the oncoming waves and the glistening ocean surface to what seemed like a sunsetting. Tez had forgotten what time it was since he had been here. He blinked in surprise at the beauty the scenery contained. Lily's words seemed quite distant right now.
It was then that he registered what was being said. "Oh!....Er...yeah!" he replied. It sounded like he had just come out of a trance or something. Tez looked back over at Lily and then took note of how the sun seemed to capture the other's features quite well. "So....how often do you visit this place?" he asked her. Not realizing he was taking in the sun's effects to Lily. He was probably in danger of getting his head slapped for this.

"It's about time!" Lily exclaimed when she noticed that Tez was finally there. She was only joking of course. Though she was pretty sure Tez would be able to figure that out, or so she hoped. It didn't happen often, but there were times when people took her jokes and sarcastic comments seriously, but that usually only happened with people who didn't know her well.
Lily hadn't waited to hear Tez's response to what she had just said, She just let her mind wander for a while after that, and was only brought back to reality because she heard Tez ask her a question.
"What? Oh, I come here pretty often I guess." She said, shrugging a little. "I come here when I'm feeling upset or angry, or just need to escape from things for a while. I also come here when I'm bored too." Lily immediately stopped talking after that.
She wasn't sure why she had bothered to share that boring piece of information with Tez, it had sort of just slipped out. She couldn't exactly say why, but it sometimes seemed like talking with Tez made her feel nervous. Maybe it was because she didn't know exactly what to say to him, maybe it was because it was odd to talk to him without Seff being there too, or maybe it was another reason entirely.
But whatever it was, Lily couldn't place it.
