The stupidity of it all isn’t just excruciating like the pain of losing some one, but it was more the shock of being threatened for doing something I didn’t do, something I couldn’t even really explain. Knowing what death looks like is hard, but being suspected for doing such a thing was hard to believe. My appearance never really helped me with anything, the differences and shadiness more prominent then anything. No one really understood any longer.
The noises of a few kids running down the street, yelling as one chased after them ran through her as one of them bumped into her shoulder, bumping her sideways. Something seemed to throw her more off balance though as her hand hit the ground, and a shot pierced the air and shocked one of the kids, “Hey! Watch it!” Followed by a low hiss of disapproval as the kids disappeared behind the next row of buildings. The girl pushed herself to stand, looking at the scrap on her hand that bled, blood rolling down her wrist. She cursed under her breath, this wasn’t her. It was true that anyone who knew her before this moment would say this wasn’t her. It was too bad that the only person that had known her really was dead.
Enfer, named for her pure hatred and starvation for control, was not a real person. There were people cursed with spirits, personalities, being, like Enfer, and in her world they were the main threat. They were killing machines. Enfer had been different though, only taking control at time when she felt it was needed. Enfer seemed to care, she protected the girl’s life, but only for the sake of her own existence.
The girl’s name was Sare, she was an innocent child, with her immaturities, and with a severe case of claustrophobia. Enfer was the strength in her, but also the danger she possessed to threaten Sare. The things she could do, the things she knew that Sare didn’t have knowledge about.
“Wha…?” The power over Enfer that she possessed was weak, she couldn’t change things, and somehow she seemed to be flickering on her more then usual. Sare didn’t know what happened in these ‘black-outs’ where she was unable to control what she did, and it was Enfer in charge. There was a problem though, something had happened in one of her latest black-outs.
It started yesterday. Sare’s appearance was never average. She had snow white hair, small horns piercing through it, and piercing yellow eyes. Yesterday her outfit was naturally out of this world. Set for warmer climates, loose, baggy, bright, heavy, and different. People here weren’t used to it. Their attire was for colder weather, much cooler. Snow poured over the ground. Yesterday she had stuck out, and people came looking for her, and they found her. They had chased her and chased her, until all together she couldn’t stand it. She had killed a group of them, before the rest left on their own terms. There were advantages to being called a different group of humans, many times even a different species.
Today, after running through the snow, she was dressed differently, and was trying to hide herself. The town she entered now was smaller, kids ran outside, a few snowball fights taking place. And now she had blood down her hand, and a small spot of blood was on the snow. She kicked the spot so it moved away; no longer looking like blood had been spilled. She stuffed her hand into her hoody sleeve; she was already completely buried into. Her face hidden below the hood, the length all the way to her knees. The snow boots she wore seemed to almost slow her down, her jeans tucked over them to prevent snow from getting inside.
The houses turned to a street of buildings, covered with snow that looked no more then dull in the cloudy day. The sun was shrouded behind thin clouds. Enfer wouldn’t speak to her, if she had something she wanted to do, she would just take over again, it was like Sare had a glitch in her system.
What had she done that would make people come after her?
Sare limped once, falling with how tired she was from a whole night’s journey, into the snow. She quickly pushed herself to stand once more, kicking the snow once more to remove the sight of blood. If they had dogs though, she was only making a path for them to follow. The frightful cold ran down her spine with the incoming breeze, and she knew she should go inside for the warmth, and food would help her.
The café had a fireplace at one end, surrounded by three chairs, all currently unoccupied. Sare didn’t even bother to look at them as she sat directly in front of the fire, pushing back her hood to warm her face with fire. A beany lay over her head, hiding the protrusions on her head called horns. Her white hair was pulled back, but strands had fallen in her face through her movements. Her frozen hands rested in front of the fire. She was too worried about regaining warmth to even take the slightest notice or remembrance in the blood dripping from her hand. She shivered once more, but didn’t bother to get up quite yet for food and the other.
The only thing she could feel outside of the warm fireplace, was the piercing stares of employees of the café who thought the girl was an odd frightful sight, and no doubt bad for business. So far none of them seemed to want to approach her though.
She could only be thankful.
There was only one question she needed to answer now:
What did I do?[/u][/i][/sub]

The fire enveloped her hands with its warmth, and she gazed into it as she tried to forget what was coming after her, that she was in trouble, and she couldn’t help thinking that she was responsible for it. Enfer wouldn’t respond to any of her questions, and it almost felt like she was gone, and no matter how much Enfer troubled her, Sare couldn’t feel like something was missing. Enfer was in fact a part of her. It was hard to accept it, and sure enough, she wasn’t sure if she had completely yet. It would probably be a while before she came close to accepting that she missed Enfer. No matter what she was always someone who tried to protect her.
The stares that dug into her seem to come harder, like more was added to it, but of course she didn’t seem to take notice. The stares of everyone seemed to be digging into her lately. Everyone turned her away, but so far she had seen no posters that said ‘wanted’ or anything of the kind that pointed her out as an enemy. Sare wished there were posters though, even if they made her run farther it wouldn’t matter, at least she would know what she had done, or what people thought she had done. It was mind boggling how furious this made her, but maybe not knowing was better then knowing.
There were only small noises throughout the café, movements of cups behind the counter, a few steps, and other various noises that came along with the job. The few times the door opened a soft breeze blew in, and Sare felt a shiver run down her spine. This breeze was different, and she suddenly felt exposed, but it was just that, no more then a soft breeze. Sare lifted her hand up to run her hand once through her hair, to brush it away from her face, but something shocked her.
The feeling she felt was typical, her hair, her skull, and small protrusions called horns. This would have been right if she wasn’t trying to conceal her protrusions that stuck through her white hair at the top her head with a beanie hat. The shock took over her that it was gone and she could see now that another piercing stare was taking her over.
Sare, almost like she teleported with her speed, stood up and faced the person behind her, now realizing the cool drip down her three middle fingers, as they continued to add to the small pool on the rug. She looked at the boy before her, he was evidently younger then her, and in his hand was the beanie she had been wearing for the majority of the day. She grinded her teeth at him, was this boy after her too?
She didn’t need Enfer to appear for her to make her next move. Sare grabbed the beanie from the boy’s grasp, and quickly rushed past him. She ducked her hand into her sleeve once more, pulling her beanie over her head and pushed the door open.
If that boy was here looking for her, then it was no doubt there were others looking for her. Sare was unsure if she would be able to escape them, she had felt confident for sometime, but with this boys appearance there was no saying what she felt. Running through the snow, she felt the cold set in once more. The shiver ran down her spine, and she could feel her muscles tighten with cold. But no matter what she kept running.
Sare didn’t know if she would stop running, she only knew that once more she was in an unsafe place.
Was there anywhere that was safe anymore?

Stepping through the cold snow, a figure slowly came about. His blue hair covered his face, although it wasn't intent: The wind was blowing behind him, shoving his hair to the front. His blue eyes were fixed on the front though. Like an arrow heading straight to its target.
His clothing wasn't necessarily 'winter' attire. The cape was probably the only thing that looked like it could withstand the chilly winds. Despite the cold temperature and bone chilling snow, Hanku was able to walk through the snow like it was a normal, sunny day.
It was probably because of his origin. He was born in a world very similar to the current weather. There was always snow; as far as the eye could see. Another possible reason why he could tolerate such cold temperatures was because of his specialty. He was born to learn water and ice elements. Guess it was only natural for him to become more adaptable to this weather than most people.
At last, the barren snow land showed a promising place. It was still too far, but Hanku was able to make that it was a town. A bit small...almost like a village. However, Hanku didn't mind visiting such a small place. He also needed some cover from the weather: The cheeks on his face were tainted with red, indicating that the stinging winds were beginning to have effect on him.
But it would seem paradise would have to wait. As Hanku got closer, he spotted a person running out. He squinted his eyes to get a better look of the person. From what he could see, this person appeared to be a girl...although, he was still too far to tell. What Hanku didn't see was the horns on the girl's head. If only he knew....he probably wouldn't help her. However, a sense of....justice, if that's what you like to call it, urged Hanku to help the girl. From what she was running from.....well, Hanku got his answer soon enough.
He spotted another figure in the distance. Hanku could hear that laughter from a mile away....litteraly. Perhaps this girl was having boy troubles? That wasn't a really good reason to help....Hanku was a little hesitant as he continued to walk towards the small town.
A new figure quickly changed Hanku's mind. Another person came out of the town, this time with something. It was like a creature of sorts, with it's mouth widely opened. Two people following her...a creature that looked like it was attempting to swallow her....The scene was too good to miss for Hanku. He supposed that he COULD take a glance at the situation up close. With that, Hanku began to run in the snow. Thankfully, the snow had only reached up to a very low level: almost to his ankles. His pace would decrease, but not by much. He had hoped that the he would arrive at the scene soon to actually know what was going on. Once again, Hanku was going to risk himself for a complete stranger that he didn't even know.
In his head, something told Hanku that he was in for a drawn-out, long day.

[If I messed up the effects of the attack just tell me]
Nothing could keep Sare from running at her ever failing step as she lost energy. No more then five people had dared to leave their confines of restaurants, shop and homes. Sare took little notice in them, until she felt her energy drain from her, but she couldn’t risk it in her level of strain.
‘That’s why I’m here.’
The black outs always came suddenly, like no time had passed. Enfer looked at the people momentarily, before one of them fell, and she was able to run faster, collecting their energy like she had had it stored in her the entire time, choosing to release it at an ideal time. The person fallen in the snow was of course not dead, just drained of energy. With food and water he would be fine. Enfer looked back to see the boy, the hideous boy chasing after her.
His movements were too quick for her liking, and he took the opportunity for an attack. She was unsure of the tactics he was using, she didn’t know much about supernatural abilities beyond the ones she contained, and was unsure of her own movements. Enfer looked to see the approaching appearances that, more then likely, took her by surprise. The reason for the visible creatures made near to no sense, all she knew was that they were there to kill her. It wasn’t surprising, the reason were obvious. She was worried about these creatures, killing her for all she knew.
Enfer absorbed the energy of yet one more person that stood on the sidelines, seeing them suddenly grip to the wall and slid down to sit. She ran faster yet, and looked behind once more, running backwards with speed, speed Sare would not have used were she in control. Sare was too childish to not care about the people around her, the people she didn’t even know. It was just one of the many weaknesses Sare had.
The speed blew her hair in her face for a moment as she thought of a way to bring the boy down, but before her thoughts could become actions she felt herself tumble to the ground. The heads of the wicked serpents seemed to enclose around her as she forced her arms over her face, with no time to think of an attack any longer. She felt her arms fall limp to her side, freezing into the cold snow. Her hair wet with the melting snow, her hat slowly slipping from her head. Her body imprint was scrunched, her arms neatly wrapped to her side, her legs bent and pulled up closer to her waist.
She felt dimwitted, and like nothing had happened she let herself fall into Sare once more, leaving the black out and letting Sare deal with it now. Enfer was in no mood to deal with her issues. Sare lay there, only able to feel the cool cold of the snow, making her clothes wet.
