Red watched with one eye closed as Silver's tail wrapped around Jean's leg as she went left. Even though she had dodged the strike of his sword, Silver managed to get a hold of her. Knowing he didn't have long to take advantage of this, he settled for throwing her a good ten feet to the left.
Red watched her soar through the air and land. The fall looked like it hurt. But Jean was getting up! She wasn't going to let a simple throw do her in. "You can do it!" Red thought to himself, rooting her on silently.
Silver took advantage of such attack and flew through the air. But his hands moved faster and reached Jean first. The first arm slashed at Jean's right shoulder, while the other her left. At the same time, as the rest of Silver's snake like body arrived, he summer-sulted in the air, his tail coming around in an arc from above.
His aim was obviously to attack Jean's head. But Red had trust that she was going to block the attacks. They came with speed, but it was obvious from the get go that Jean's speed now matched Silvers.

Caught off guard, a mistake on Jean's part, she found herself soaring through the air. Landing in a heap, Jean gritted her teeth before forcing herself back up. Rolling over swiftly, she Had hardly time to react. If her speed hadn't increased like it did, she might've received more damage than she did now.
Adding to the bruising she would surely get, she now had a nasty cut on her right arm. Letting out a small shriek from the sudden pain, she barely moved her left arm to make her sword parry the left strike he had tried to make.
Glaring up at the creature, Jean shoved hard behind her sword in attempts to knock Silver back some. Leaping back a few feet, she decided now was the time to show him more serious moves. Ethereal blades suddenly floated in the air on either side of her, revolving in a threatening manner. There had to be at least five or six of them, most likely five.
Then, once they stopped, the blades went diving right for Silver one after the other as if he had a homing beacon on him.

Red didn't know it was possible to throw someone like Silver back. Especially with his thin body that had the ability to move like a snake. Silver had no eyes, but Red was sure that if he did they would be hungry for Jean. His smile was wide enough.
Silver paused as Jean backed off and summoned five blades making her total number seven with the two she already held. They floated around her like something majestic. Silver spoke, the first time since they had started fighting. "Ah. Now things will be interesting."
Red watched with wide eyes as the swords all went for Silver like a rocket with a homing beacon. As the first came within the distance of him, Silver's blades began moving. He managed to dodge the first one by bringing his blades down in a "x" and knocking the blade down.
But as the second came, there was no such luck. Red watched as the next four blades found home in Silver's body. Red watched as Silver's body was thrown to the wall and pinned by those swords. Was this really it? Was the battle finally over?
Silver's fixed expression of a frown seemed to suggest that. Until it moved into a smile that was. And then what happened next was just horrifying. Silver's head came clear off of the rest of his body. There was green blood flowing from where it dislodged but it floated in the air, hovering. Slanted eyes appeared next.
"And this Jean! Is where you lose!" The floating head shot through the air towards Red and company. Red was horrified and even more so when the crystals on the belt in Artemis's hands began glowing again. Red could do nothing as the air around Artemis shifted. Red watched as a heart that could only be Artemis flowed through the shifted air, and Silver's head floating into Artemis.
Red was stunned. He had only now moved. But by then it was to late. The crystals dropped to the floor. And suddenly Artemis's eyes glowed a bright red. "I think this body will do just fine." Thought it was Artemis's voice, it was clearly not him. Red could only let out a cry as he watched the heart that was once Artemis disappear.

Jean watched as her ethereal blades went flying at Silver. If he thought blocking them would be a wise thing, he was very wrong. It wasn't easy at all to block one and then the rest since they followed each other right after the other. Reaction time would've had to be very very swift with little thought if anyone hoped to block them. Either that or simply rely on a barrier to shield one's self from it.
Silver blocked one but he did not move in time to get the rest of them. Blinking, Jean watched as all the blades pinned Silver's body to the wall. Had it all been over just like that? She wasn't sure if she wanted to believe it as she remained poised for battle, looking on with disbelief. Why did it feel too easy?
As if confirming her suspicion, Silver's frown turned into a wicked grin as his head removed itself from his body. Jean couldn't help but look at it with repulsion. Somehow, it still had the ability to speak and live. Why was that?
Without much warning, the crystals that Artemis held began to glow. Then, the air about him changed and a heart floated right out of Artemis's chest! Jean's eyes widened. "NO!" she shouted, rushing to the body to try and slice Silver but the slippery fiend managed just barely to get inside someone's body again. Artemis, the one they knew, was no more.
In his place, Silver's eyes were shown. Confirming it, the wretch spoke, saying how that body will now do. Jean's eyes narrowed dangerously. Clutching her sword so angrily, she had to restrain herself from slicing Artemis's body in half. Once again, she was forced to hold back.
"You wretched monster!" she growled, glaring at Silver with such intensity. Her father might have been saved but they had lost a friend in the ordeal. Rowen and the others looked on with pure shock.
"Foul snake demon!" Annalese hissed, her pupils slanted into that of a feline's to show her anger, eyes watery. Artemis, where he had harmed her in the past, didn't deserve this fate. He had helped them all a lot since he had joined their group. Everyone had appreciated his presence and now he was gone!

Red didn't know what to do. He had summoned his keyblade. And held it tight with such ferocity that the only thing that was keeping him back was the hope that Artemis was still alive.
Silver walked away from all of them as if he had the time in the world. He strolled in a circle with a look of ease on his face. "Well congratulations Jean. You won! You succeeded in killing me outside my body."
It was so weird to hear Artemis's voice, yet knowing that he wasn't Artemis anymore. "Bring him back!" Red shouted in anger.
Silver's response was to crackle in laughter. "He's gone boy! Back to that place where all hearts go when they die. Not that I care much for that place. I prefer the living after all!"
Silver was now back to his original position when they had first entered the church. He stood with his back facing Jean's father. "Now I believe I said I'd let your father go. Well I am a man of my word."
Red watched Silver bend down and reach into the pants pocket of Jean's father. Pulling out a silver key he unlocked the lock that held the chain around Jean's father. Red couldn't believe it was ending like this. He wanted Jean's father back. But not like this! Not with having to loose one of their friends.
Jean's father seemed to come back to life the moment the chains fell. His eyes, which once seemed distant and dead, held life again. He seemed confused as well until he saw Jean, Rowen, Sain, Dyne, and Ryu. "Jean?" He said standing up. He didn't even seem to notice Artemis.
"Is that you? I thought you were dead." He walked over to his daughter and opened his arms in a hug motion. And that was when a sword stabbed through his abdomen. Silver stood behind him wielding said sword.
"Never said I wouldn't kill him after though." Silver let out a laugh as he drew the sword back and Jean's father fell slowly to the ground, his eyes distant and confused.

Jean shook with pure anger. Right now, she wanted to just rip Silver out and finish him off but she couldn't with Artemis's body there. His heart may be gone but there was still a way that a keyblade wielder could rescue him. How, she didn't know but Red had it and there was a way at least.
"You-!" she snarled. Oh, the hatred was so evident in her voice right now. The way she shook, it was clear that every fiber of her being wanted to kill Silver if she could.
This had been a lose and win situation yet again. It was so frustrating to not just rid of Silver forever! Well, she probably could right now but she couldn't bring herself to attack Artemis's body when there was a chance he would be saved somewhere down the line maybe.
Releasing her father, Jean thought this encounter would be over with but not by a long shot. Stabbing her father in the back, Jean's anger had been ripped right out of her as shock and horror replaced it. Rushing over, she caught her father as his gaze became distant and confused. Hearing Silver's words, oh how she became torn with anger and sadness. It felt like she was being ripped apart inside. Right now, she couldn't bring herself to do anything as tears fell from her face. All she could do was hold her father.
That had gone far enough! Pissed that their mentor had been wounded by Silver and for the loss of Artemis, Rowen, Ryu, Dyne and Sain took out their weapons. Rowen the first out of them. "You bastard!" he growled. Stringing his bow, Rowen took aim at Artemis's left shoulder and released an arrow. If anything, it would just wound the shoulder. Rowen was pissed but even he couldn't go as far as using the energy he did back with the Heartless to kill. If he did, Artemis would lose an arm or his body would be gone and then there would be no way for the kid to come back if there was a way.

It was that lack of intent to kill that allowed Silver to block the incoming arrow with his dagger. "Come on! You have to do better then that! Don't you know? There's no way of killing me unless you kill this body!"
And with that Silver charged the group. With sword and dagger in hand, electric energy pulsed around Silver's body. It was Artemis's ability, and Red knew it. Yet Red knew he couldn't just stand there. He had to attack as well.
Red met Silver in battle. The weapon came down as Red's keyblade blocked it. As Silver attempted to cut him with the dagger, Red pivoted and swung his keyblade. He wasn't trying to kill Silver, but he had to do something. The time for single battle had passed. It was time for a group attack!
"Rowen get him from behind, Dyne attack the flank!" All the while their blades met in a parry of sparks. He couldn't have time to glance at Jean. This needed to end. Before anyone else got hurt.

Rowen strung another arrow as Silver spoke. The anger in his eyes were quite obvious as he prepared to take a more surer aim. Not to kill, since it was still Artemis's body, but to do some damage. Jean and her father seemed to be forgotten in the thick of things as everyone reacted on impulse, their emotions getting the better of them.
Jean remained on the floor, holding her father tightly as tears fell from her eyes. Looking down at her father, Jean tried to be strong for her father but it was difficult. His wound looked rather serious. "D-Dad!" she sobbed.
Hearing Red, Rowen allowed himself to lift into the air using his sphere ability and landed behind Silver, taking aim and releasing an arrow. Dyne seemed to fall into the ground, disappearing from sight before appearing near Silver's flank and taking aim with a small sword.

Silver managed to block Red's next swing, and even used his dagger to block Dyne's upcoming attack. But he had no such success with Rowen's arrow. It hit his shoulder square on. Red knew that he had to seek the opportunity now if never!
Red swung his keyblade and knocked the sword that Silver held out of his hand. That left the murderer with only his dagger. Of course it was thanks to that arrow that Red was able to knock out the sword from Artemis's hand to begin with. But Silver was not any less dangerous.
As Red went to attack again, fire suddenly tickled down Silver's skin and Red was forced to fall back as Silver sent a wave of fire around him, forcing not only himself back but most likely Dyne as well if he didn't want to get burned.
When the fire was dispersed, Silver was huffing. He still wore a smile that did not belong on Artemis's body. "You... Cant.... Kill.... Me... I... Am.... Invincible!" Silver went for Jean who was holding her father. Electricity pumped down his body again increasing his speed. As he appeared behind Jean he raised the dagger, ready to stab Jean in the back of the head.

Rowen was glad to see his arrow had made its mark this time around. If anything, he was looking to disarm Silver. He didn't want to destroy Artemis's body after all. "Get him, Red!" Rowen shouted as Red knocked the sword from Silver's hand. Suddenly, fire pulsed about Silver's body.
Those that were close had to leap back or they would have been burned. Dyne had just barely gotten out of range. He was pushed from the force but had stepped away just as the fire tried to lash out at him.
Now left with just a dagger, Silver began to pant. The energy he used must have taken a lot out of him then. His very words were disturbing. Invincible? No one or anything was invincible! Rowen strung an arrow again, ready to use it on Silver but the fiend did something else. He moved at the speed of light and went right for Jean's turned back.
Aiming the dagger at Jean's head, it really looked like Silver was going to kill her. However, he didn't take into account the would-be-wrath he had awoken inside of Jean. Having settled her father on the floor, giving him a piece of cloth to cover the wound he had beforehand, Jean's hands were free again. Behind her, she could hear the fray and summoned forth the three elemental balls as a red aura surrounded her. By the time that Silver had come to try and jab her in the skull, her spheres had reacted in kind and her aura had gone. One red sphere got in the way of his dagger, blocking the attack. The next one that came at him was an electric sphere that went for Silver but might not cause damage because it was the same energy that he was using. Then a blizzard sphere went to hit him next.
All these spheres would only hit him with the elements that they were. Blizzard would not freeze him but it would hurt since the sphere was made of ice. If any hit, or didn't, Jean would still turn her head toward Silver anyway with the darkest glare she could ever manage. "If you thought I was unable to fight, you're an amateur!" she growled, getting up to stand between her father and Silver, her swords in her hands once more.

Red could only watch as Silver's arm descended. He had thought Jean out of the battle, to weary from what was happening. It seemed that she had come to her senses though. And in result a ball of electric energy charged at Silver.
It was thanks to the electricity already surrounding Silver that the attack didn't have a full out attack. But it did cause him to step back.
The second ball of energy followed. When the ball of ice hit, it did enough damage to cause the electricity pulsing around him to disparate. Not only that but he was now huffing more so then before. His ribs were most likely broken from where he had been hit by the attack.
"Jean! I don't understand.... I love you, why would you harm me love?" It was then that Red realized that Silver's dagger was not in his hands. It had been thrown and its aim had not been Jean. It had been her father! But Red could not see where the blade had hit, or if it had. But he could see the pool of blood that was flowing from the body of Jean's father.
Silver gave her a smile. "All we need to do is get rid of everyone else. Then we can be together." Silver took a step towards her.

Sain, Dyne, Ryu and Rowen had made to rush over to help Jean but it looked like she didn't need it. Having returned to her senses, she had attacked in a way none of them had expected. It was true that she was emotionally unstable but she managed to pull out of it just barely. That didn't mean she wouldn't be thrown back into it again.
When she had made her attacks, she was somewhat relieved to see she had stopped him then. The issue was that none could afford to kill him since he had Artemis's body and the fiend knew it too. How they were going to remove him from it, she didn't know. They probably couldn't use the crystals anymore, could they? They were in his possession anyways so they would probably have to retrieve them from him and they didn't even know if it would work a second time.
Hearing his words, she didn't respond, only glared back at him. It was obvious that she was rather pissed off with him. Jean never liked him in that way nor would she ever. Since day one, this weirdo had a strange attraction toward her.
Whether or not her father had been hit, since the dagger was no longer in Silver's hands, Jean didn't dare look just yet. She was certain her fire sphere must have blocked it or sent it flying somewhere else but she didn't know for sure. Right now, she was focused on the enemy and what to do with him. As he took a step toward her, she remained still as she raised her swords.
"You've hurt my friends and family, I will never forgive you! If you think getting rid of them would make me like you, you're wrong!" she stated. Taking on a battle stance, Jean did not move. If he got close, she would fight him.

Silver continued to step towards her. "Come on Jean. Don't lie now. We can finally be together. All of our dreams can come true." There was hope in those chaotic eyes, Red could see it. But Silver could also see Jean's battle stance. It seemed to just hit him that she was not lying. That her battle stance wasn't for show.
There was anger in those eyes then. Silver's hands clutched into fists. "If that is the way its got to be... Then so be it! I'll kill you all." Silver charged for Jean. It didn't matter that he had no weapon. He wanted to strangle the life from her, that much was clear.
The question was, what would Jean do? If there was a chance they could get Artemis back, they had to do something to get Silver out of Artemis's body. But how was that even possible. It's not like any of them had the key to a persons's heart.... Or did they.
Red had never learned much about his own weapon. He didn't understand the mysticism behind his weapon. Yet as he thought of this the tip of his keyblade began to glow. Perhaps there was something he could do. Red raised his hand and a beam of light shot through the air and into Silver. It caused him to stop abruptly.
Turning his keyblade like a key, Red was surprised to see a scream erupt from Silver. The scream continued until a head floated right out of Artemis's body, just like Artemis's own heart had. It was Silver. "Jean now!" He said. This was the time to finish this once and for all.

Jean was serious with what she had said to Silver. From the very beginning, she didn't like him. She just noticed how the thing had a strange affinity for her that turned out it had a crush on her. It was because of that, that made the thing chase her around and cause a lot of trouble for them. Where he had once aided them, he was still a cruel creature for the things he had done to others. After what he had done to her father, her friends...she only ended up hating him even more.
There was a dark glint in her eyes that told that what she said was true. She hated Silver, especially more now that he might've just taken her father away from her forever who was her only surviving family member. Then again, he was made of tougher stuff even though he was older.
Her eyes narrowed as Silver took a few more steps toward her. Right now, she had the right mind to cut him in two. Her resolve had left her. It had been a lucky thing Red did what he did because she had intentions of cutting Silver down that would have wound up destroying Artemis's body. As Silver realized that she never liked him, it became clear that he had grown furious. Why he hadn't known this sooner was beyond her. Rushing at her, intending to do her harm, Silver looked murderous.
Then, a bright light went through Silver. With a scream, the creature was somehow brought out of Artemis's body. She didn't need to hear Red speak twice as she reacted accordingly. Lunging at Silver, Jean used an upward slash from her right sword and a downward slash from her left sword in attempts to cut him in two.

Time seemed to freeze as Silver died. His eyes looked in confused horror as Jean's blade cut it right in half. He had not taken Red's keyblade into account and that was what had saved Artemis's body in the end. As the head fell to the floor in separate pieces there was quiet in the air.
Part of Red wanted to jump for joy. At long last Silver was dead. He would no longer be returning to torment them. But the question now was, what of Artemis. Red walked over to Artemis's body. He had no knowledge of anyone else following him, but that was not to say they didn't.
Red searched in Artemis's eyes for life. There was nothing though. With no heart, the body was dead. Sighing, Red closed Artemis's dead eyes. "I'm sorry. You helped more then you'll ever know." He told him. It didn't matter if Artemis couldn't hear.
A tear fell from Red's eye, but he brushed it away. There would be time to cry later. They still had to see what became of Jean's father.

Jean stood stock still as she watched the remains of Silver's head fall to the floor. She made no further move for a time. It were as if everything stood still. Where she was happy to finally be rid of Silver, the things that were hitting her hard right now were robbing her of that happiness. Her emotions getting the better of her, Jean shakily turned to where her father now lay.
He hadn't tried getting up since the first attack Silver had made on him. Running over, she lifted him up. Mr. Wilder coughed up blood as she did so but was still just barely clinging to life. With the blood loss though, there was no telling if he'd be with them for much longer.
Where she would have mourned the loss of Artemis, she couldn't focus on him just yet right now. She definitely would soon it's just her father's situation had been more demanding on her. "F-Father! Please hang in there!" she begged him. Mr. Wilder looked up into his daughter's bright, tearful green eyes as she looked down at him. Lifting a hand, he stroked the side of her face , wiping away her tears as he gave her a reassuring smile.
Rowen and the others walked over too since Mr. Wilder had trained them before Jean took over. Rowen and Dyne especially approached him, looking down at him sadly. Mr. Wilder had treated them as if they had been his own sons. Mr. Wilder looked over at them and smiled when he realized who they were before looking back at his daughter. Sain hurried over to try and see if there was anything he could do but with the blood loss, it was too late. Jean knew it the minute she had gotten to her father as tears fell from her face.
"Kn-Know that....I-I'll....a-always l-love you, Jean." With that, Mr. Wilder took his last breath and passed away. As he did so, his body faded away and his soul became one with The Planet. "N-No!" Jean exclaimed. Then seeing Artemis dead too, it just didn't help. Slamming her fists on the ground, Jean's emotions overcame her as she cried.
In the corner, Annalese looked down at Artemis's lifeless body as she bent down and tried to move him. She hadn't fully understood that hew as dead. Now that she had touched him, she could feel no blood flowing through his veins. Knowing he was gone, Annalese sat down and sniffled.

So much death. Red could only place a hand on Jean's shoulder as her father died. Tears shed down his eyes as well. To think that they had to loose two lives to kill one enemy. It was unfair. Life was entirely unfair.
Red could only wish that there was something he could do. If he had some sort of ability that could bring them back, he'd do it in a heartbeat. No matter what the cost was.
"Let's bury them." It was the best they could do for their friends. They would have a eulogy for them all. Red figured that the church was the best place to bury them. Right by the flowers. Going over to a shed, Red found a shovel. Then he started digging.
It wasn't long before he had two graves in place. Laying down Artemis in one grave, he let Jean place her father in the other. "I think it would be right to save some words now about them."

Where Silver was dead, they had lost two friends. Jean lost what was left of her family...and so had Red. In fact, it didn't dawn on her that she hadn't said anything about it until she was reminded of Artemis's last name. When Red dug graves, the others save Jean went and got shovels to dig the graves.
Annalese just stayed put, looking on as the others worked before the flower bed. When they were done, Red settled Artemis in one and Jean set her father down in the other. Even now, she was still crying heavily.
When Red spoke, it was hard for her to even speak. Her throat felt as if a huge lump had formed there and she couldn't get rid of it. Tears flowed from her eyes as she just stood there, head hung low. No one seemed to speak then before Ryu sighed and came forth. He was just as affected by the whole thing as the rest of them. Someone had to talk though.
"Artemis...Mr. Wilder...you will always be remembered. You were both brave men. Your memories will live on in our hearts. May you both rest in peace." With that, Ryu saluted them both before looking to Red. "Would that suffice or did you want to say something too?" he inquired.

Red did want to say something. He just didn't know what exactly. What could he say? What would suffice for these two great people.
Clearing his throat Red could only speak the words that came to mind. [colored]"You will forever be in our hearts." That was all he could think to say. Yet, Red felt like he had to do something more. They deserved a better grave then a simple ground. They didn't even have a tomb stone.
Red raised his keyblade. White light poured out of it. Red really didn't know what he was doing exactly, but it felt right. The glow traveled over the land where they were buried. When the light died down there were two pure white stones on top of the covered ground. One was the split image of Jean's father, and the other of Artemis.
Smiling, Red let out a sigh. It was the best he could do for them.
"Bravo! Bravo!" Red turned at the sudden sound of clapping. "A wonderful grave for your friends." It was Lakari! And he was alive! Red's face lit up. He couldn't believe it. The old man had managed to survive.
Of course Red didn't notice Julian who walked next to Julian. However that didn't mean Annalese didn't. "Lakari! We thought you were dead. It's good to see your survived. We were worried you died too."
More tears fell from Red's eyes as he began rushing over to the old man. He wanted to wrap him in a hug. At least that was one less death.
Red didn't expect Lakari to attack him. So when the attack came and Red ran into a wall of bright light he was sent flying back over to Jean and company. The person who was Lakari was now a person none of them had never known. "You don't know how long I've waited to do that." At that moment every memory that Lakari had blocked he released back to the people in that room.

The others watched as, after Red said his eulogy, he created a tombstone for the two. Looking at it, Jean managed to gather herself just enough to look upon what Red had made. It did the two great honor. It was a really lovely goodbye gift that Red could make. "Thank you..." she said to him in a slight murmur.
The moment was interrupted by clapping and a familiar voice. Everyone turned to look over and found Lakari there. Who was with him, none knew except Annalese since Artemis was now dead.
"Not you too!" she exclaimed. When Red went running to Lakari, she tried to grab his shoulder to stop him but he moved too soon for her and wound up running into a light barrier. The barrier sent him flying back at the others. Dyne caught Red when he got within range of them.
When Lakari brought back the memories of the others, the only one who still didn't remember was Annalese. "Lakari wasn't a normal elderly man, guys. I saw him put a hole in the wall of the ship one time...I think he messed with my mind." It was Sain who had spoken up.
