About the Character
Character Personality: Which one? XD
Mason: He's friendly, quiet, and the type of person no one notices. He enjoys making things, as his name might suggest, but he's not really good with technology- it's usually things more like carving, woodworking, metalworking, and the sort. He spends a lot of time improving his weapon, using his great knowledge of physics to improve the trajectory and aim. He doesn't have a lot of friends, as he is very shy, but once he knows someone, he opens up and becomes a great guy to hang out with. His first reaction to any problem is stealth and creativity, and if combat is neccesary, he prefers to do it silently from a distance. If confronted face to face, he usually freaks out and backs off, the fear triggering his other personality. To be honest, he's not that hard to scare- darkness, swords, bugs, tough people, even water scares him. In very rare circumstances, he actually stands up for himself our someone who was nice to him. However, his spirit is often broken quickly, except in an even rarer case where both personalities work together. This will be described later.
Abol: As you probably guessed, he is the complete opposite of Mason. Don't confuse his name with Abel, the good brother in the bible story- his name comes from the latin word for destroy. He likes seeing things explode and watching his enemies go down, their bodies and spirits broken. It's difficult to say that he is totally evil- he just doesn't respect anyone or anything that gets in his way. Outside of combat, he's your typical tough guy- confident, arrogant, and really not all that intelligent. He makes friends easily enough, but they aren't worth anything to him- often just a means to more power or meat shields in a fight. In rare cases where he needs to use some intellect, he sometimes find short spurts of it. In rarer cases where something really important is on the line, they both work together.
Both: There is no name for this, but when something is ready important to both personalities, the positive traits of both combine. The resulting personality its intelligent enough to plan ahead and has the confidence to follow through. It lasts only until the goal is accomplished before fading to one or the other.
Character Appearance: Six feet tall, Brown hair, slightly muscular but not overly so.
Mason has blue eyes and wears jeans and a t-shirt. Abol has red eyes and adds a leather jacket on with a black belt. Mason keeps tools and spare clothes in the blue side of a backpack that is half blue and half red with a divider separating the compartments. Abol keeps his jacket, belt, and some explosives in his side. Abol roughs his hair up, Mason pats it down. They weigh about 170 pounds.
Character Hobbies/Activities (Optional Field): Mason likes tinkering with his weapon or building stuff. Abol likes blowing stuff up and sparring.
Battle Statistics
Character Position: Neutral
Character Abilities:
Personality Shift: When Mason is afraid, Abol takes over. Abol its naturally stronger and faster, though only because he thinks he is. When Abol is confused or bored, Mason takes over. Mason is smarter and better at planning, though only because he bothers to try using his brain. This is passive. In very rare circumstances, both personalities combine to be stronger, faster, and smarter.
Epic destruction: The blended personality shoots an unnaturally larger ball of energy from his keygun, then flash-steps forward and slashes it. It explodes with silvery energy that covers the current arena. Any allies caught in the blast will be fully healed. Any foes take heavy, perhaps fatal, damage. Must be in double personality to use. Once per thread.
Mason:
Infinite capacity: Mason's Keygun never runs out of bullets. It just keeps shooting, and he never really needs to buy bullets or reload. passive.
Instant analysis: Mason can instantly analyze attacks coming his way. He can tell just by looking how much they will hurt, whether they can be blocked, and what if any special properties they have. This happens at all times, so he is not an easy person to trick. Passive.
Power Trick: Mason releases a pulse if energy in every direction for ten feet. Anyone caught in the blast (including him) have their strengths and weaknesses swapped. So, if they were incredibly strong but slow, they will find themselves with subhuman strength but incredible speed. Mason himself slows down a bit, loses a lot of accuracy, but becomes much stronger and braver. This disorients enemies, as they will need to completely change their combat strategy. Lasts five posts, five post cooldown from end.
Magnet Bullet: Mason can fire a bullet that contains a very powerful electromagnet. Since his bullets are vaguely key-shaped metal pieces, they will be attracted to this bullet once it is fired. If an opponent is hit with a magnet bullet, other bullets will turn and come back toward them even after missing. Two post cooldown.
Crack shot: Mason doesn't miss. Ever. Any circumstance, any weapon. If need be he even uses light energy to bend projectiles small amounts around obstacles. Given time to aim from afar, this makes him a deadly sniper. Unless you have an ability averaging damage into a health bar... Just remember, getting shot in the head and heart hurts a lot more than anywhere else.
Cloaked bullets: the unique aerodynamic shape and a special forging method means that the only way to detect these bullets is by sight. Mason's gun is silenced, the bullets do not disturb the air, give off energy, or have any aura. This makes sniping a lot easier, as people cannot just sense the bullet and dodge.
Reconstruct: Mason can cause any objects and people nearby to 'heal'. Destroyed towns will regenerate, people on the brink of death will revive, etc. He can also exclude certain things from this effect- a defeated enemy, for example. 5 post cooldown.
Abol:
Epic strength: Mind over matter- plus the fact that he practically runs on adrenalin in a fight. Abol's strikes shatter stone and bend metal, including weapons unless they are specially made (aka, most player characters unless I have permission). His keyblade is rather heavy, and combined with his strength, this also makes it difficult to block strikes.
Dark shield: Abol makes a shield in front of him that absorbs frontal attacks and restores his health with their kinetic energy. This requires both hands, so he must sheath his weapon, but lasts indefinitely. Essentially, he can't fight while he uses this, so its main purpose is to close the distance with a foe using ranged attacks. Health restored depends on the strength of the attack.
Flash step: Pretty self explanatory. He runs so fast it looks like he teleported.Once every other post unless he attacks during the step- then cooldown three posts. No more than ten meters.
Magic seal: As Abol's keyblade glows black, he tries to strike his foes. Hitting them successfully, or their weapons, or armor, disables any long distance or area magic. Guns and physical long distance moves, as well as close range magic, still work. Seal lasts five posts. Cooldown five posts after effect ends.
Split: Abol rips the keyblade into two, each half as heavy, but with the obvious advantage of having two keyblades. Another advantage of these is that they link faster- meaning throwing a keyblade will result in it reappearing in seconds.
Unlock: Unlocking an ally's heart, with permission, releases their full potential, whether light or dark. They become a powerhouse capable of toppling castles with a single blow for one post, and get a keyblade for that time. Then they fall unconscious. Once per thread.
Moogle Shop Purchased Abilities (If you have purchased abilities from the moogle shop, please list them here): None
Character Weapons (Maximum of 5 weapons allowed – members must have 200 posts before their characters may wield a keyblade):
Radiant Darkness: a keygunblade, which is essentially a keyblade that can turn into a keygun. The keyblade theme is light, with a sun at the end whose rays are the prongs. When the keyblade folds up, one if the prongs becomes the trigger, and the dark inside is revealed. This dark side has a keyhole, which the vaguely key shaped bullets come from. This weapon changes depending on which personality handles it, and splits into two handguns or two one handed swords.
Character Strengths (1 required): Either good against long or close range fighters, depending on personality.
Character Weaknesses (1 required): Mason is weak and often cannot finish a foe, and Abol rushes into things too much.
Character Story
Character Home World: Radiant garden
Character Relationships: His family abused him, creating a second personality. That personality killed them. Both personalities have friends.
Character History:
Born in Radiant Garden, Mason had a terrible life. His parents abused him, called him an accident, and made him do all the work, claiming it was the only thing he was good for. His strong heart despite this upbringing drew the keyblade to him at a young age. His personality made it take the form of a gun, however. He tried to unlock his parents' hearts, make them good, but they were too full of darkness. Gradually, his desperation formed
into another person: Abol. One night, Abol took over. He killed Mason's parents and buried them, and Mason woke up to find his parents gone. His keygun, however, had gears on it now. And it looked like a sword. As he touched it, it returned to a gun, the gears rotating and the blade returning to its place. He was angry, but happy- now alone, he searches the worlds for answers.
