Master Issac figured that this battle was over. Whomever the victor was, they would find out soon enough. Extending his hand once again, the scene shifted and once again the glass replaced the scene. It was time to check up on another battle.
Issac led Jean to the next stained glass window to the right. It was pure white in color and with the sun reflecting off it, gave it an almost bright appearance. Master Issac extended his hand and showed them none other then Dyne, Ryu, and the man who went by Shadow.
That man was dead. It was clear by the fact that his body was covered in blood and unmoving on the floor. The state that the others were in? Well it was hard to tell. Shadow's abilities attacked the inside of the body. His claw like hands hand the ability to rip the skin inside of someone. From the huffing and puffing of Ryu and Dyne, they didn't look all to great.
Still they survived. And the death count was at two. The outcome of Sain's battle would come soon as well.
"This place is special. It is the only place where such ritual can be completed. They tried to do such a thing here when this world was inhabited. But where they failed I will succeed."
Master Issac rolled his hand again and led Jean back to the stained glass before. Extending his hand once more, he waited to see the outcome of the battle with Sain and Lakari.

Jean had to take a step back and shield her eyes as the light coming off of Sain became too great. The light had gotten so bright that it made the whole area illuminated and it stayed that way. As if not liking the bright light himself, the Master changed the image. Jean blinked a few times for her eyes to adjust to the change.
When they did, she saw Dyne and Ryu. Both were alive but seemed as if they suffered some unseen injury each. Seeing how they were breathing, she could tell that something was bothering them. Looking to who they had fought, she saw a dead enemy. So, as far as she knew, Rowen, Dyne and Ryu managed to survive their battles. She was nervous though spotting the lit symbols upon their heads then. Having experienced it before, Jean knew it meant one of them was in trouble somewhere. It didn't mean it could be Dyne or Ryu right there but she knew it meant one of them four was.
'Did Sain survive? What of Red?' she wondered.
Seeing the image shift, she was forced to step back and shield her eyes again. The light was still far too bright to see into.

Lakari was laughing. The fool had walked right into his trap. Death was nothing but an illusion. An illusion made of dark and light energy. In reality what he had chanted was something much different. It was a spell made for one purpose. To trick!
So it was no surprise to him, that Sain had charged forward. What else could he have done in such a situation. There was no way he could tell though that he had created a wall of energy in front of him that stretched from end to end. In reality that wall was moving towards Sain, right where death was.
As soon as Sain touched said wall, he would find himself struck by a wall of energy that would fold around Sain as soon as he touched it. And once that happened he would find himself in very much the same situation that Julian had been in The Deep Jungle. For that reason, Lakari laughed.
--------------------------
Master Issac didn't care for the light, but he wasn't shedding away from it either. He was waiting for the outcome of this battle.

It was hard to see through the light, so Jean stepped away to try and readjust her eyes. Occasionally she would peer over her arm to look at the glass window that was looking upon the scene. At first it looked like Sain might come back out alright but with the light, it was hard to see who had made the final strike and who didn't.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sain wasn't as experienced as Lakari was when it came to things like this. The Grim Reaper he saw, Sain didn't recognize to be a mere illusion. So, he had resorted to letting up that light barrier that was rather blinding and had been the main reason why the image was so h and the Master to see was because of it.
Deciding Death would be able to get him anyway, Sain charged for Lakari, his broadsword raised threateningly. If he was going to go down, he might as well make Lakari feel some pain.
His sword was lit with light as he rushed Lakari. What he didn't know was the crafty fiend had set up a wall before him. So by the time Sain got in close enough, he got hit back by a wall. "Argh!" Sain exclaimed as he got sent flying backwards. By the time he got to his feet again, the wall had completely surrounded him. Seeing it, Sain's face paled a bit. The symbol on his forehead had revealed itself then, letting the others know he was in trouble. Trouble now that looked like he'd never get out of. 'Guess this is...it!' he thought.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jean could see that Sain had just lost and her eyes welled up with tears. Sain was about to die! Turning toward the Master, her eyes narrowed. "What kind of damned ritual is this to warrant people killing each other for the benefit of what you're doing?!" she snapped.

Master Issac knew that the battle was over the moment Sain charged head on. To see him get surrounded in the wall meant it. "It seems your friend is about to die." He told her the obvious.
Lakari smiled. He stretched out his hand as he made eye contact with the trapped Sain. Closing his hand into a fist, parts of the wall suddenly shot forward towards Sain. The shots of the wall that came forward were in the shape of three inch by three inch squares. When they extended they collided with Sain, impaling through his body in several areas.
The only spot left not attacked was his dead. Blood flowed from every section of his body that had got impaled by the wall. At the moment the wall did not carry the effect of bouncing off. It was just a wall of energy.
"Goodbye." Lakari told him. Opening his fist the repel aspect of the wall returned. The effect was that Sain's body parts were bounced away from the wall because of the fact that the wall was impaled through him in several places. Blood splattered everywhere as Sain's body parts were scattered across the room.
It was done. Master Issac moved his hand across the stain glass and made the area disappear again. "Seven hearts. With seven hearts there will be no more killing. So far I have three." Master Issac said. He moved his hand over the glass again. It was time to see the outcome of the battle between Annalese and Julian.

The fear in Jean's heart made her not want to look but she forced herself too. Her heart reached out to her friend. This was his last moment and she could tell. The symbol on his forehead wasn't a good sign. Years ago, she had seen that same thing when Sain, Dyne, Rowen, and Ryu were younger. There used to be five of them. An old friend, Kaizer, had died and everyone's foreheads had done what their's were doing now.
"Sain!" she exclaimed, as if she could shout out to him and he would hear her. Tears fell from her face as Sain looked back at Lakari. The look in his eyes suggested that he knew he was about to die but he looked back at him bravely. It was the end of him and he knew it, might as well make one last courageous act. He gave the man that was once a part of their party with the most piercing gaze that he could muster. He might die but he would ensure that his gaze forever remained imprinted on Lakari's memory.
Then, all Sain knew was piercing pain on all sides. So much so that by the time Lakari had fully impaled him, Sain had lost his consciousness. When he was killed off, he didn't even feel it. When he died though, a burst of light in the symbol that had appeared on his forehead previously had erupted where he last was before his body got dismembered.
Jean fell to her hands and knees, tears falling from her face as she mourned Sain's death. Never again would she see him. Lakari! "NOOOOOOoo!" she screamed. Her sadness hit her so strongly then. First Artemis, then her father and now Sain? Just how many more of them were going to die? She could've sworn her heart had been torn to shreds with all this emotional pain she was feeling.
She didn't even look up as the Master spoke how he just needed seven hearts and then the killing would stop. In fact, she didn't even look up as the image shifted to Annalese and Julian. The two vampires were still facing one another, their fangs bared menacingly. Annalese had received a significant amount of damage but she wasn't dead. Julian, he hardly had a scratch.

Master Issac showed no emotion during Jean's grief. "Death comes to us all eventually. I have given your friend's death purpose. Your friend has not died for nothing." He tried to explain to her. If she believed him or not, that would be up to her.
He turned to the battle between Annalese and Julian. It seemed that Julian was wining. Such actions would be expected. He waited to see what would happen. There battle should be finishing soon as well.
Then a fourth heart would be added to the list. There was also two more battles as well that they had not seen from. The first of course was Red and Ogre. Master Issac had no clue what was going on in that battle just yet.
However it was time that this battle, and by that he meant the battle between Annalese and Julian, be decided. Telepathically, Master Issac sent out a message.

If Jean wasn't so despaired right now, she would have lunged at Isaac for that comment. It was a fight that didn't have to be from the beginning. Right now she was crying for Sain. He hadn't deserved this sort of death. If only they hadn't come along! If only she hadn't gotten them all involved! "Sain!" she cried.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Annalese looked back at her brother pretty battered. For some odd reason, he didn't seem intent on ripping her apart. During the fight, she had been the one to provoke him. At first, he had smacked her around a few times but now she didn't understand why he wasn't attacking her.
Their fangs were bared at each other in obvious anger but neither moved right now.
"Why don't you kill me off? Or do you want to torture me first?" Annalese growled at her brother.

Master Issac couldn't hold his smile when he watched another member enter Julian's and Annalese's battle. It was none other then Lakari himself. While he was tired from the other battle, he had some energy left to play with this battle. There was no way that he could be seen from ontop the balcony at just that moment.
Master Issac watched as dark and light energy sailed through the air, in aims to hit Julian. Once Lakari had control of the vampire, there would be no holding back. There had to be a death in this battle. That was exactly what Issac had said. "One of them must die. I don't care who." Well he was going to fix that now.
Turning to Jean, Issac sighed. "If you don't want to miss the final moments of another of your friends, I'd watch."

Julian made no response to Annalese's words. She could see a hint of hesitation in his eyes then. Was it because he couldn't understand why he wasn't trying to kill her? Annalese wasn't too sure but she wasn't going to let him hurt her. That was why she had attacked him when she did during the fight.
As she stood, her wounds healed as did his. Now they were back to square one. It wouldn't be easy for either to kill each other when neither had a means of permanently destroying the other.
In fact, neither of them had a wooden stake or anything made of silver or garlic. Nothing in their possession could possibly kill the other. Both seemed to know this yet all they did was claw and swing around at one another. It were almost like watching two wild animals fight. None was giving in and neither seemed to be getting anywhere with this.
Then, a strange feeling went through the air that made both vampires look around warily. There was a scent to the air. They hadn't detected Lakari but they definitely smelled the strange energy. It made the hairs on the back of their neck's rise. "What is that smell?" she questioned aloud.
Julian looked over at her then as he realized the scent. It was that weird energy the necromancer used once before. "You should run while you have the chance!" he stated. Annalese looked back at her brother with confusion. It was difficult for her to understand that it was him trying to be helpful rather than mocking toward her. "RUN, IDIOT!" he snarled but it was too late.
Freezing in place, his body went still as Lakari took hold of his body.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Forcing herself up, hearing that, Jean found anger in her heart when she spotted Lakari. Glaring over at the Master, she started walking away. "I don't give a damn who you are! I'm not letting you continue to slaughter my friends like this!" she snapped.

Lakari couldn't help but smile again. Annalese and Julian had taken time to finally notice his arrival. It didn't matter much though. He controlled Julian now. And there was more then just that. Lakari walked over to the wooden railing that covered the balcony. Using elfish strength he pulled part of the wood clean off.
"I think this will do just fine for a stake." He said and tossed it to Julian. With control over his body, having him catch it was easy. Then Lakari sent him after Annalese, Wooden piece held high with its sharp broken end pointed towards Annalese.
Lakari wondered what she would do to get out of such a deadly attack from a more powerful vampire.
--------------
Master Issac regarded Jean with a raised eyebrow. "And how do you plan on stopping this Ms. Wilder?" He asked. The only way to prevent it would be to fight Issac himself. Of course if she did that, one of them was going to die. And there was no means certainty that the others wouldn't be dead by the end of the battle.

Jean didn't answer him as she continued to walk away, too pissed to just stand there and watch while this twisted guy seemed to enjoy it like a television show.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Annalese saw the wood come flying as Julian caught it. The look in her sibling's eyes were different. They were glazed over, as if he no longer had any control of himself. Glaring, she looked to where the wood had come from and found Lakari there. She knew it was him because she had seen him in that form once before. She let out a hiss at him.
Her purple eyes returned to her older brother as he dived at her. If her reflexes hadn't reacted when they had, she would have been killed. "Julian, stop!" she said, as if trying to pull him out of it. It wasn't working though.
Annalese bolted this way and that, the two both fast. She wasn't sure what to do.

Master Issac just shook his head. Yes, Jean was walking away. But in reality there was no where to go. "The door's locked you know. And unless you can destroy a ton of steel, your swords or strength are going to open it. It can only be opened from the outside."
Letting her go discover this herself, he turned back to the battle between Julian and Annalese. Lakari was getting aggravated. He didn't want to waste his time controlling this battle. Better to make it end easily. Lakari had enough for one more spell.
After that if he wished for more he would have to let go of Julian. And to do that, well who knew what might happen. So as they dashed this way and that, Lakari rose a wall when they came close in contact around them. It gave them only about ten feet compared to the vast room they had before. There would be no getting out of the box either.
Lakari sent Julian to Annalese's side and smacked to the right, hoping to throw Annalese into one of the side of the walls. It would throw her own force against her. That might weaken her enough for Lakari to stake Annalese.

Jean ignored him, too angry to care as she walked over to the door. Placing a hand on the doorknob, she pulled at it. It didn't budge even an inch! "Grr!" she growled, tugging at it with all her might. No matter what she did, she couldn't get it open. Not bothering to use her swords since it would only break them, Jean tried kicking at it.
Infuriated, Jean turned back to Isaac. "Why did you bring me here?" Well, that was a good question. Why was she here while the others were out fighting? Why did she have to be forced to see people die? Why?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Annalese didn't like the look in her brother's eyes. He wasn't himself and she could feel it as well as she could now sense it. It sent goosebumps down her spine as she ran from him. How was she going to fight him? She didn't know but she did know she'd better watch out for that wooden stake!
Suddenly, as she ran, she wound up stuck in a barrier of ten feet all around them. "LET ME GO!" she screeched.
Julian darted to the side of her and then smacked her hard. So hard in fact that it triggered something within her. As she got sent flying toward the wall that would surely bounce her back, Annalese's fragmented memories went back together again. It resulted in her awakening.
As she hit the wall and came flying backwards, she twisted about in the air, her eyes narrowed. Sending out her whip, she wrapped it about her brother's arm with the stake and pulled.

Lakari was surprised to see the change in Annalese. "I had not expected that." He said aloud. Not that it mattered too much. He watched Annalese tug on Julian's arm. There was only one option really. Let go of the stake or get tugged towards her. Julian let go of the sake.
It went flying towards Annalese and landed right by her feet. Lakari smiled. They needed a death. Master Issac didn't care who though. So Lakari sent Julian right at Annalese. He was going to force an end. Julian went at Annalese with full intention of ripping his hand right through where her heart should be.
What would Annalese, in this state do to stop it? Well perhaps she would use the stake that was conveniently right by her feet.
----------------------
Master Issac regarded Jean's question with a cool attitude. "You are a woman of war. You led soldiers into battles. You will see what must be done to end wars."

Jean looked at Isaac and frowned. Was that really why he had her back here where the others weren't. Why?
-----------------------------------------------------------
Annalese snarled at her brother as the stake went flying harmlessly to the right on the ground. Now, her brother was flying toward her and it looked as though he were intent on removing her heart. Since this wasn't the same Annalese, she wasn't going to allow it.
"Oh no you don't!" she growled.
Bending low to the ground, she grabbed the stake and brought it up to meet her brother's chest.

Master Issac didn't have anything to say to Jean. He was waiting for this battle to finish. The sooner it was over, the better it would be.
Lakari didn't stop Julian's advance. When he saw Annalese grab the piece of wood, he actually drove Julian even further. He let some of Julian's own natural anger out as well, making him snarl in an almost inhuman way.
Sending Julian towards the stake, he smiled as he knew the battle was most certainly about to end. The only way it would not was if Annalese gained control of herself. And at this moment, it didn't look like that was going to happen.

Jean frowned at him before glancing at the window again. This time, it was the battle between Annalese and that other vampire. From the look of things, Annalese suddenly appeared to have the upper hand. What was even more disturbing was the change that had seemed to come over her. Annalese didn't at all seem the bloodthirsty type like Jean was seeing right now. What happened? Had she snapped? Or was this really the Annalese they all knew and just didn't see this side of her?
----------------------------------------------------
Annalese, the one Lakari had known, was no longer in control. Instead, what was in her place seemed to be a much more fierce one. She was no longer the bumbling ADD vampire everyone befriended. This was something...more dangerous. The question was, when or if she survived this, would she even recognize any of her friends?
Having picked up the piece of wood, the stake that Lakari had thrown in, Annalese seemed intent on killing her brother.
Julian seemed spurred on with anger as he went at the stake. Then...was it over? Annalese was certain she had struck her brother and when she had, her eyes widened at what she just did.
Looking back up at her brother, she saw the look on his face. She had the stake driven right into his heart. Looking at her, she saw something she never saw on her brother's face before. It was sadness but almost as if it were trying to be reassuring. As if saying it was fine that she had done that to him and he held no grudges against her for it before the life faded from his eyes. When that happened, the heart left his body and he became nothing more than ashes asw his ring fell onto the floor.
Shocked by what she did, Annalese dropped the wooden stake, tears flowing from her eyes. Sadly, she reached out and picked up her brother's ring, their family crest on it. "J-Julian!" she sobbed.

With the battle between Annalese and Julian finally over, Master Issac extended his hand and the vision disappeared. Another heart had been collected. That meant they only needed two more.
Issac turned to Jean. ""Are you ready Jean? There is only one more battle we must watch." He told her.
Extending his hand once more the stain glass shrivelled until in its place was the live scene of one Red and Ogre. Both were exhausted. That was the first thing Issac noticed.
Each held their keyblade in hand, and were huffing and puffing. Red bled from several cuts made from Ogre's keyblade, and Ogre was in pretty much the same situation as well. It seemed to be a temporary pause in the fight because neither charged at the other.
"Ogre. Please. Stop this. We don't have to fight. I'm sorry for everything." Red pleaded through broken breaths.
Ogre shook his head in defiance. "It's past the point of forgiving." With that, Ogre charged at Red and they were at it once again. Keyblade parried keyblade for numerious strikes.
Red was the more tired of the two, so it was Ogre who pushed him back. The teen would swing his keyblade, and Red would be forced to take step after step back.
When they came near the wall the desperation was clear on Red's face. He had to turn the battle around otherwise he would be pinned to the wall. Feeling a bust of energy, Red pushed to the offense. So it was then that Ogre was being driven back.
As they neared the center of the room, Red swung his keyblade in a powerful attack that knocked Ogre's blade towards the floor. Flipping the keyblade towards the ground, he summoned six sprites of fire out of his hilt.
Sending moving pillars of fire at Ogre, it was all Ogre could do to dodge the attacks. He leaped higher then most people could to dodge one traveling pillar and then the other. Once all six had been dodged they paused once again to catch their breath.
"Why? Just tell me why you won't forgive me. Are you so angry at me that you refuse to even accept my apology?" Red asked.
The sorrow that crossed Ogre once again was quick. And suddenly Red understood. Letting his keyblade disappear he said a single sentence. "It's Jazmin isn't it." The surprise on Ogre's face was all he needed to know he had hit it right on.
Jazmin was Ogre's younger sister. He should have known from the beginning that something was wrong. Ogre was doing what he had to for the only family he had. If it had been Red, he would have done the same thing.
"We don't need to fight. You should have just told me. We can go get her back. She's probably right here in this stupid castle."
The look of fear on Ogre's face was understandable. "He'll kill her."
Red shook his head. "He needs her for some reason otherwise he would have killed her already. Trust me. "
Walking over to Ogre Red engulfed his best freind in a hug. "I promise. We'll get her back." He told Ogre with a smile.
"Red... I'm..." Ogre never finished the sentence. Ogre's body suddenly went limp and Red looked down to see blood pouring from a wound in Ogre's chest. The wound was caused by a knife. And as the knife was withdrawn Ogre slump to the floor in Red's arms.
Beyond shock Red could only look up at the smug smile that Lakari wore on his face.
Back in the room Master Issac smiled. "That would be six."

Jean watched as Annalese slumped to the floor, crying. From what she recalled, Julian had called her 'sister'. So that vampire she just killed had been her own brother. Jean looked on sadly as Annalese cried before the image shriveled away to reveal but another one. In place of Annalese, there was Ogre and Red now.
Red and Ogre were out of breath, the two still engaged in battle. Jean wasn't sure how things would go, it really looked as if Ogre wouldn't listen to Red and their only option was to fight. Still, she gave Red the benefit of the doubt. Ogre had been one of his closest friends. It was only natural that he'd try to convince him otherwise rather than fight him.
Hoping Red knew what he was doing and wouldn't get himself killed, Jean watched with anticipation. 'Please hang in there!' she said. She didn't think she could stand seeing another death of a friend.
Watching, Red made a sudden realization. Ogre was only doing it because of someone named Jazmin. Red seemed to have hit something close to home as Ogre seemed to finally hesitate. Making his weapon go away, Red went and embraced Ogre. Jean wondered if it would be wise but then she saw how Ogre was. It really looked like the two had made amends.
Then, something happened. Ogre was stabbed in the back by Lakari. Seeing the shock on Red's face as his friend slumped into his arms, most probably dead, Jean felt another wave of fury fill her. The fiend would have paid if she had been able to break free but she couldn't. Her fists clenched with anger remembering the fact that she was locked in here.
When Isaac spoke, she turned to him, her eyes narrowed. She hated this man and he hadn't done anything to her except lock her up in here and forced her to watch friends suffer and die. Just what was this guy doing? What ritual could ever be worth this? He was most likely a madman. When he said now that there were six hearts, she wondered where this would be going. Was he going to attack her next? Or was he going to have Lakari do Red harm?
'Rowen, Dyne...Ryu. Where are you guys?!' she thought, looking at the scene worriedly. If anyone would be able to help Red, it would be them.
