The portal opened and a procession of bodies entered from it. Sir Joffery was first, carrying the body of Lady Silvia. The spot where the bullet had entered was covered with a white cloth to hide the wound. They had arrived at the foot of the stairs that led to the front gates of a castle. The castle had tall white towers with blue pointed roofs. The castle was much different looking then the one back in Wonderland. It had more of a "slimmer" feel to the buildings and castle as a whole.
White couldn't help but feel a bit nervous about all of this. What if the king and queen here arrested them. This was a new world after all. White knew Sir Joffery well enough, but he had no clue as to how right Mr. Wilder was about this Master Jasper the Wise.
Following next to Darius, Mr. Thomas and Arya walked next to them. They were mostly quiet and observant, as was the majority of them at the moment. White wondered just what they were thinking. Sir Joffery led them up the steps, his hooves clinking as they stepped up. At the front of the gates that led to the castle were two more centaurs.
White had thought that Sir Joffery was large, but these creatures were easily twice as big as he was! They wore far less armor then he did, with white armor covering only the upper section of their legs. Each had a spear in a hand with the but of it resting against the ground.
Both the centaurs had long black hair tied into a pony tail with deep brown hardened eyes. Upon eyeing Sir Joffery climbing the stairs they shouted loud enough for all to hear. "Look the fawn has return! And he even brings friends! Who would want to be friends with a short...."
The centaur who had been shouting stopped when he noticed the dead body in Sir Joffery's hands. Both of their eyes widened. "Joffery what happened?"
A look of sorrow crossed his face once more, as White and the rest of them joined around Sir Joffery. "I have failed." Sir Joffery hung his head. "Lady Silvia has fallen under my watch."
The centaur's glanced at each other for a moment as if trading thoughts before turning back to them. "We must alert their majesties at once."
Sir Joffery spoke up quickly in response. "No. We must see Master Jasper first."
The centaur who had spoken before noticing the body in Sir Joffery's hands snarled. "I do not take orders from a fawn!"
The hardness in Sir Joffery that had appeared before during the battle in the Land of Dragons returned. "My liege has right to inspect the body for I present the news to their majesties."
"That old man hasn't a right to anything anymore. It's only a matter of time before he..."
"You will not speak of my liege that way!" Sir Joffery shouted. Even though Sir Joffery was much smaller then the centaurs, they seemed taken aback by Sir Jofferys front.
"Go in then. We will keep quiet, but make sure you are the one to present the body. It was under your watch that she fell fawn." The centaur opened the doors behind them, and stepped aside so that they might enter.
White watched the exchange with interest. He was surprised to see how much taller the centaur's were compared to Sir Joffery. White assumed then that Sir Joffery must be young for a centaur, given the way they addressed him as fawn.
Once inside, Sir Joffey chose to take the side passages instead of the main ones. He led them down a couple of different hallways. White was quite surprised to see that there was no one traveling down the halls. If this was a castle, it made sense there would be servants and what not coming around.
White shared his thoughts with Darius. "Wonder where everyone is?" White would have asked Sir Joffery, but he seemed much to engulfed with things to really notice that they were even there.
Mr. Thomas, who walked near the back of them, glanced over to Lance. He seemed a bit more by himself then everyone else. It was hard being the newcomer in a group, Mr. Thomas could understand that. "You alright kid?" He asked him.
Sir Joffery led them out through a backdoor that led to a bridge to a tower. It was an older tower compared to the ones next to it. There was moss growing up the bottom of the tower. It covered about half of the tower, nd seemed to be going no where but up.
The bridge they walked across was made of solid stone. It rose slightly over a river that flowed down below. Tall railings were lined on either side, and there was enough room for them all to walk next to eachother with room in between. Sir Joffery led them across the stone to a wooden door made of oak. White noticed carvings of different sorts of animals etched into the door.
For the first time since arriving, Sir Joffery addressed them all. "The stairs leading to the top is small so watch your step." Sir Joffery had his hands full with Lady Silvia's body, so Arya stepped forward and grabbed the handle. It took a moment before she was able to pull the large door open after a short moment. Sir Joffery headed inside.

As Darius stepped out and set his eyes upon the castle of the Enchanted Dominion, he wasn't surprised to be seeing castles anymore. Still, they were quite a sight to look upon. As he looked around, taking in his surroundings, he spotted two centaur guards before the doors leading to the castle. Compared to Joffery, these two were much taller and bigger in appearance. Darius couldn't help but raise his eyebrows, impressed. Were these centaurs fully grown then? It was difficult to believe that Joffery had been young since he had seemed rather tall as he was. Well, that just went to show Darius to not assume by appearances alone.
The group walked in silence until they were stopped before the gates. Hearing their shouts, Darius couldn't help but furrow his brow. Lance nearby did the same thing as they looked at the centaurs. It sounded like they were making fun of Sir Joffery. By the way they were addressing him too, it was clear they made him sound as if he were a youth of their kind. Was it really Joffery being young or was it them just being rude and picking on him? Whatever the case, they were still pretty rude but the one shouting for all to hear managed to cut himself off. The sight of Lady Silvia's body was enough to silence his baying and was replaced with inquiries as to what had happened.
'This may not be a friendly encounter!' Darius thought to himself. There was no telling how Lady Silvia's parents would take to their arrival with her dead body. They might blame them for not doing anything to save their daughter's life. Hopefully, that would not be the case. It was difficult enough to come at such a grave time. On top of it, Darius wasn't even sure how the elderly Keyblade Master would take to meeting them here. All around, it was an uncertain occasion.
The group of them gathered about Sir Joffery, Darius noting the look of sorrow in the centaur's face as he replied. After hearing what Joffery had said, the two elder centaurs exchanged looks before stating that they should tell their majesties immediately. Joffery denied that though, stating that they must see Master Jasper first. His statement had angered the older centaurs, one going as far as stating they didn't take orders from a fawn. Whatever anger they had though was quelled when Sir Joffery's hardened expression returned. Darius recognized it as the look he had during Land of Dragons. He would not let them take control here and he would do as he saw fit regardless of what they were going to try and do. Darius and the group knew better than to interfere here.
The older centaurs though went as far as insulting Master Jasper, a foolish mistake. Sir Joffery's shout had silenced them, surprising them. Once that had happened, they allowed them to enter. The accusing way that they had spoken, Darius could only wonder what would become of Sir Joffery in this mess.
In silence they walked along behind Sir Joffery as he lead them through twists and turns of the castle. Darius glanced over at White when he spoke, asking where everyone was. Darius gave a shrug at that. "I don't know, White. Maybe we're taking routes others don't normally go down?" he suggested.
Lance had pretty much kept quiet the whole way through. He didn't see a need to speak at the given moment. Right now, he was confused as to why he was sent out like this. Something their ancestor had done was the reason why he was out here. It was different, seeing a new world. Lance couldn't help but look around with wonder. He hadn't ever left Land of Dragons so everything here was new to him. The castle was fashioned differently than the emperor's palace.
When Mr. Thomas spoke, Lance turned his glance towards the elder of their group. Was he doing alright? Well, that was a question he wasn't generally sure how to answer. "...Aside from everything I discovered back home and witnessed, I'll be fine. I've much to think about though...quite a lot, in fact." There was a pause while they walked, Joffery informing them that the stair is small and that they needed to watch their step after they had crossed a bridge.
"...How about you?" Lance inquired to Mr. Thomas, more so to give the other a bit of conversation other than silence. Lance, though he had been somewhat reckless during Land of Dragons, hadn't been a bad person. If anything, he was quiet.

Darius brought up a good point. That might explain why they hadn't passed anyone in the corridors. Also being slightly aware of the conversation going on behind him, White listened to Mr. Thomas's reply to Lance. "I'm alright. Just been having headaches recently."
Arya must have been listening to the conversation too because she pipped in. "He's getting old. Pretty soon you'll have to be taking naps." This brought a roll of the eyes from Mr. Thomas.
"I don't need to sleep. I'm dead remember." Arya stuck out her tongue at Mr. Thomas. She looked to be about to say more, but it was at that time that they entered the old tower. As Sir Joffery had said, they were welcomed by a single staircase in a large room that made a climb upward along side the edge of the large circle room. Taking the lead, Sir Joffery led them up the circular staircase. The staircase was just big enough to fit Sir Joffery. How he managed to hold Lady Silvia in his arms as well was beyond White. Even White had to force down a gulp as they climbed the small staircase in the very open room. No doubt if he fell from this height he would be adding to the dead count.
As they neared the top of the tower, they came to a section where the openness of the room ended and a wall greeted them on each side. It was only a small climb then, and a complete rotation around before they came to a wooden platform and another wooden door at its end.
Like the one outside, this door was carved with depictions of different animals. Sir Joffery, who stood in front of them called out. "My liege!" He shouted.
A loud crash of something breaking echoed from the other side of the door. White shared a look of surprise with Mr. Thomas and Arya. Whatever had just happened on the other side, it did not sound good. The door in front of them opened inward to reveal an elderly man. He stood at only five feet, with a bald head and a long gray beard that stretched all the way down to the floor. His back was hunched and he leaned on a gray cane. His face was wrinkled with age beyond even Ray Wilder.
Glasses on his face were connected to a chain around his neck. "Why in blazes are you disrupting me?! I told you guys specifically to not disturb me during work hours. How ever am I supposed to complete a bix de box when everyone keeps on shouting! Blazes I think I'm going to go to his majesty with this. I've had enough of..." The old man trailed off as his eyes raised away from Sir Joffery's legs up to the body in his hand and Lady Silvia in his arms.
A look of sadness, not as deep as the one on Sir Joffery's face had experienced upon Lady Silvia's death but deep all the same, crossed the old man's face. "Oh my little princess." Sir Joffery lowered Lady Silvia to the ground in front of the old man. The elder crouched down and slowly lifted the bandage that covered the wound on Lady Silvia's head.
A sigh came naturally on his lips. "You poor child. I have seen many deaths in my life, but none have been so close as you."
The old man lowered the cloth and for the first time since their arrival, someone acknowledged their existence. The old man's eyes first sought out White's hair. They quickly traveled to Darius, and then the rest of their companions. "Bring her in Sir Joffery. Come in all of you. We have much to discuss."

Darius was only guessing and that was the only thing that came to mind. Either that or something evil had happened but that didn't seem likely. At least, not from what he could guess in seeing the two adult centaurs at the gates earlier. Once he had given his answer, he walked in silence behind Sir Joffery, barely listening to what the others were saying behind them as they went.
Lance furrowed his brows a little when Mr. Thomas stated that he was having headaches lately. "Hm...pity we're not back home, my grandmother would've been able to help you with them." It was just after that when Arya piped in stating that Mr. Thomas was getting old and that soon, he'd be taking naps.
Of course, Mr. Thomas did not appreciate what Arya had said and gave her an obviously unhappy look. Their exchange made Lance smile a little. It sort of reminded him of how Brayden and he interacted as well as the bond Lance used to have with his grandfather. Roy, Lance used to always bust him over anything as a kid. Now that he was twenty, that side of him had gone away. For the most part, Lance was more mature than he used to be. It were as if Brayden had been the one that absorbed it all though. His younger cousin still had a lot to learn when it came to acting the way he did and when he should behave.
It was just after this when they had all finally entered the old tower. Darius looked up at the small staircase. It was so narrow, Sir Joffery barely made it up while carrying Lady Silvia. Darius wasn't sure how this was going to go. Hopefully, he wouldn't slip or a very nasty case of dominoes just might happen and no one here wanted that kind of thing to happen.
As they made their way, Darius was so preoccupied with worrying about not falling that he hadn't realized he had been looking right down at Lance's own head the entire time he looked down. Not that it mattered anyways but it was interesting to know the hair was naturally that color, if Darius had even bothered to really pay it much attention since he was so busy clinging to the side of the tower behind White pretty much.
When they finally reached the top, Darius gave a breath of relief. He had thought near the end that he was going to fall but he had made it. Everyone else did as well as they finally reached the top. Eventually, they stood before a wooden door with animals carved into the wood. As they stood there, Sir Joffery shouted, addressing his master. As he did so, a crash had answered him.
Darius found himself exchanging glances with everyone before looking back towards the door in wonder. Should they go and see if something was wrong? Before any of them could come to that decision, an elderly man stepped out to reveal himself. He was much older than Grand uncle Ray, Lance noted. In fact, he appeared to be more ancient than anyone Lance had ever seen before but he was more polite by not saying it.
The old man was angry about the shout but after some bickering, he finally registered who was in Sir Joffery's hands. The room went quiet as the old man's face became filled with sorrow. After briefly examining the body of Silvia, the old man turned to them. Darius and Lance blinked back at him as he looked at them all before ordering Joffery to take Silvia into the room. No sooner had he done that, he told them to go in after him as well.
Lance and Darius both nodded, following those that already headed in first wondering what had to be discussed.

There were a couple of things of note that caught White's eyes as they entered through the wooden door. The first was that they had entered a large room that easily expanded across whatever tower they were in. Second, the large room was completely free of walls sectioning it off. This made it possible to see everything form where they entered, to the back of the room. Thirdly, though the place did not have walls, things seemed to be very much divided in a way.
The area that they had entered in looked very much like a laboratory. There were various tables with books, flasks, and other sorts of measuring equipments on them. In addition there were cabinets with open doors and labeled vials. There were boxes scattered on the floor, and a couple of other noteworthy things such as a stool, an enclosed glass that held a single floating bubble, and a broom in the corner.
This area seemed though to end at a certain spot and White could make out a kitchen, with a wooden table, chairs, a gas stove with a pot resting on top, and even an ice box. Another part of the large room, held what could only be a bedroom, with a master bed, dressers, a mirror, and a desk. There was also areas for what looked like a living room, a storage room, and even a basement with clustered junk laying all around.
The old man took them through the area until he came to the table in the kitchen area. "Go on Joffery, place her on the table." The old man walked through them as he retreated back to his laboratory. He leaned on his cane as he walked, going at what could be considered a moderate rate for a normal aged person, but not for someone who had to be as old as he was.
White watched him pick out a vial of green liquid from his cabinet and returned with it. He walked past Darius, excusing himself when he had to walk through him, and over to Lady Silvia. He removed the bandage around Lady Silvia's wound. Tossing it behind his head into a trash bin about six feet in the way, the old man poured the liquid in the vial onto the wound.
Everyone, even Sir Joffery, watched as the liquid came in contact with the wound and sealed it in a green jello like substance. The old man reached into the pockets of his long robes and pulled out a pinch of dust between his fingers. Sprinkling it on Lady Silvia's wound, White watched as skin suddenly appeared, hiding the wound as if it had never existed.
"There. Now that ugly wound is gone. Tell me Sir Joffery, what happened?"
Sir Joffery took a deep breath. White could see the centaur composing himself as he began to tell the story. "We had arrived at the Land of Dragons just as you had said we would. However we did not do so unseen. The young boy there," Sir Joffery had paused to indicated Lance with a nod, "witnessed our arrival. We did our best to keep him uninvolved but he followed Lady Silvia and I anyways."
"We came upon the threat, and as you had said sir, it was indeed another fissure disguised as a woman."
The old man nodded. "And it was she that killed her?"
Sir Joffery shook his head. "There was another. A woman I believe dressed in a black dress. However I only glimpsed her briefly after she had fired her weapon. By then my eyes were on..." Sir Joffery could not finish. Tears were falling from his eyes, and his lips were quivering.
The old man placed a hand on the centaur's torso. He could not possibly reach Sir Joffery's shoulders. "It is alright Joffery. But you know what you must do. I am glad you brought her to me, but you must bring her to her father and her mother. They have the right to know of what happened to their daughter."
Sir Joffery nodded. "I know. I shall. And then I shall throw myself off the Tower of..." Sir Joffery went to continue but the old man cut him off.
"You shall do no such thing." He said.
Sir Joffery objected. "But I failed! I have no right to continue my command or my life."
"You are filled with grief for the loss of your best friend. There can be no failure when one tries their best. Princess Silvia would not want you to throw your life away. She would be sickened to hear of it."
Sir Joffery was filled with tears once more. And this time a cry came with it. White was never a person to find enjoyment when people cried. It pained him to see Sir Joffery in such distraught. "But how can I live?" Sir Joffery barked through his cries.
"Take one step at a time, one day at a time. Worry not about your life in years, but how you will live today." The old man turned to Lady Silvia, and ran the back of his hand down the side of her face. "Take her to her parents Joffery. You were her protector, you must do this."
Sir Joffery had stopped crying enough to nod. He reached over to Lady Silvia and picked her up into his arms once more. White got out of the way so that he could walk past him. Watching him, White wondered if they should follow him or stay here. Mr. Thomas and Arya must have been thinking the same thing, because they glanced at White, Darius, and Lance to see what they were supposed to do here.
"He must go himself." The old man said. White had his back turned, watching Sir Joffery as he walked to the door and out of it. Turning around, White found the old man's eyes upon all of them. "From your white hair, I take it that you are White. And I can only assume that this black haired youth next to you must be Darius then. There is also no mistaking the blue hair of a Wilder either. Though which Wilder I do not know. And an elf and a child. You all make a very interesting group. I am Master Jasper." The old man said, introducing himself.

As they entered through the door, Darius noticed how the area they stepped into seemed to stretch farther than the top of what the tower appeared to have in width. No doubt, they had just entered some sort of dimension different than what they had previously been in. It made more sense that this would be here. Darius wasn't sure how the old man lived up here in such an enclosed space. Darius, where he wasn't chlostraphobic, knew that he'd not enjoy being in such a cramped space.
The surrounding area, it was easy to see everything from here. There was a lot of living space for the old man in this dimension. How this came to be, Darius wasn't sure but it was cool. He would've said it was a nice place but considering the grim occasion that they had come, it was not time for idle chatter. Instead, he focused on what lay ahead and followed the old man and Sir Joffery into a kitchen area. As they had arrived, the old man instructed Joffery to place Silvia upon the table.
Darius watched as Sir Joffery did as he was told. The old man had turned away, walking at a rate that Darius and Lance did not expect an old man to move at. It was normal pace compared to what his age entailed. Clearly, this old man was not what he appeared to be. Watching him pick out some sort of vial, they watched as he returned, Darius stepping aside to let him pass with a polite nod. All of them watched as he approached Lady Silvia.
He put the vial's contents on the wound. With that, he then pinched dust and spread it over the wound. When he had, skin had formed and removed the injury altogether. Darius almost expected to see Silvia to suddenly spring back to life right then and there but somehow, he knew this wouldn't happen. If anything, the old man had simply removed the terrible wound from sight. Once this was finished, the old man asked Joffery what had happened. Everyone watched as Sir Joffery prepared himself and then explained everything.
Lance had given a nod to indicate that what Sir Joffery had said was true. He hadn't expected to run into them in the area where the deceased Wilders' tombstones all rested. In fact, it had surprised him greatly. If he had been elderly, Lance was sure it would've given him a heart attack. When it came to the point of who had killed Lady Silvia, Lance had shook his head when the old man asked if the fissure woman had killed her. No, it had been the woman from above that had shot Silvia. Neither of them had gotten a good look at her.
There was silence but it was easy to feel what Sir Joffery had been feeling then. Seeing someone else crying before him always made Darius feel bad. He didn't know Silvia as well as Joffery had but it did bother him none the less. She had been a kind girl and their encounters with her had been pleasant. Sure, Joffery almost mistook him for an enemy and they almost fought but that was in the past. Darius admired the centaur for his strength. For someone so young as he to handle a fissure like that, Darius wondered if it were possible for an adult centaur to even manage that. Somehow, there was something different about Joffery. Every one of them, except maybe Arya and Mr. Thomas, had seen what he could do.
The old man told Joffery that he knew what he had to do. He had to bring Silvia to her parents. They had a right to know what had happened to their daughter. Joffery had agreed, acknowledging that he intended to do this as well as leaping off a tower. Darius's eyes widened at this as he turned to speak but before he could open his mouth, the old man had already cut off Sir Joffery's words. Hopefully, what he said was enough to quell Joffery's intentions. Lance and Darius both looked down, it hurt to see someone in such emotional distress.
Once the old man had finished saying what he had to, he told Joffery to take Silvia to her parents. As Joffery did as he was told, Darius and Lance watched him go. Should at least one of them accompany him? Darius was worried that the centaur would actually kill himself. As they glanced over at the old man, he spoke to hem stating that Joffery had to do this one alone. Darius felt torn but obeyed.
Once Sir Joffery was gone, the old man had focused his attention on them. Noticing that he was looking at White, Darius followed his gaze with a confused expression before turning back to the old man. Now, he was looking at him and seemed to be taking in his hair. Baffled, Darius watched as he seemed to inspect their group visually before finally speaking. He could already tell who White and Darius were. He also knew somehow that Lance was a Wilder and then mentioned Mr. Thomas and Arya before finally introducing himself. This was Master Jasper, the old keyblade master that Grand Uncle Ray had recommended they go before and ask for information.
"Yes, I'm Darius, sir." Darius had given a nod to show that the man had been right.
Lance glanced over at the others and when there was time for him to pipe in, Lance had looked back over at Master Jasper. "I'm Lance Wilder."

White had to admit that the old man seemed a bit different form what he appeared. There was obviously more to him then just your average joe. Just the way he pointed out with almost certainty who White, Darius, and Lance were, was short of amazing. "Were sorry for your loss sir." White had pitched in after Darius.
He had not known much about keyblade masters besides his late master, but for some reason White had expected something different. The old man was short and well... old. He didn't seem the all powerful type of being that White had thought he would be.
Arya and Mr. Thomas were the next to introduce themselves. "I am Arya and this is my companion Mr. Thomas."
The old man nodded at each one in turn, when they introduced themselves. "It is a pleasure to meet you all." He said politely. He then added, "Thank you young man." In response to White.
"Please won't you sit down, we should discuss why you are here." White had thought that perhaps Master Jasper would be angry with them for not doing more to save Lady Silvia. But it did not seem to effect him as much as it had Sir Joffery. At least on the surface it appeared that way.
There were enough chairs for all of them, so White took a seat at the one nearest him. Master Jasper had not taken his seat just yet, instead walking over to his stove, opening it, and pulling out a tea kettle. "Would anyone like tea?" He asked.
White glanced at Darius. After everything that had just happened he didn't really feel like drinking or eating much of anything. Especially after seeing Lady Silvia's wound. "I'm alright." White pitched in. If anyone else wanted some though, he wouldn't object.
"Alright, well I'll make some for those who want it anyway." the old man said, it was hard for White to see him really as Master Jasper. The man just seemed like more of an elder instead of a Master. He returned to the chair at the front of the table.
White didn't know what to say, or even where to begin. They had come here for a couple of reasons. For one they really needed to find out more about the assassination committee. Secondly there were the fissures that they needed to know more about. Also there was the matter of White's former Master / Lance's father. Where were they to begin in all that?
Mr. Thomas perhaps was thinking around the same thing for he asked a question. "Sir, are you sure you want to do this now? We can wait for another time. I know this must be hard on you."
Master Jasper glanced at Mr. Thomas and then everyone else. His eyes lingered on each one for a short moment. "My heart breaks for the loss of my apprentice. I had watched her grow up from just a babe. But that does not change the fact that you are here. And your appearance is no coincidence. There will be time for me to mourn, but for now I must help you anyway I can."
White still didn't know where to really begin. Perhaps Darius or Lance would pitch the first question and he could follow with his own after. White glanced at the two of them and gave a nudge of his head towards them, indicating one of them should go ahead.

Darius and Lance both nodded at that too. They were all sorry about what had happened to Lady Silvia. It was a sad experience. Lance didn't think he'd be able to sleep well for a time considering he had actually seen Silvia get shot in the head. It had all happened so fast that it was almost difficult to believe that she was dead and not just simply sleeping soundly.
Master Jasper, despite what happened, seemed to put his feelings aside for now and had focused on them all. It was a wonder to Lance that the elderly man hadn't seemed to want to mourn alone for a while. Honestly, he wouldn't mind if the old man requested that they leave him alone for a bit. Instead, Jasper asked them to sit down. In the given area, there were enough seats for everyone present. Obediently, Darius and Lance took their seats. Both of them looked back at the old man, wondering what it was that they were to discuss. There were many questions that they all wanted to ask but where to begin was another matter entirely.
Jasper did not seat himself down just yet. Instead, he went to the kitchen area near the stove and started to heat a kettle asking if any of them would like some tea. Why was he offering them all tea at a time like this? Well, kudos for the man for remaining a kind and polite host and person despite what he had discovered today. Darius wasn't sure if he could stomach tea after seeing Lady Silvia's injury and he wasn't sure how the others would fair with that. Still, the old man said that he'd make enough anyway just in case.
Once that was done, the old man finally came over and placed himself in a seat. No one said a word but there were many questions whirling through their heads. Which to ask was another thing entirely but Mr. Thomas seemed to have finally found a good one. As Mr. Thomas asked that, Lance and Darius both looked back at Jasper as they nodded. They wouldn't mind waiting another time to talk with Master Jasper.
What Jasper said in answer though surprised them. Their appearance had been no coincidence? Was there something that he knew about that they all did not? A silence fell over the room then. Darius and Lance looked around at the others, not really sure what to say. White had eventually made a point to catch their eye. When he did, he had indicated for either of them to say something. The real question was what though. Darius exchanged looks with Lance. Both seemed to have a mutual agreement at what should be asked first. Lance gave a nod to show Darius that Darius could be the one to ask it. Turning his gaze onto Master Jasper, Darius finally spoke.
"You said that our appearance was no coincidence...do you know something that we don't in that? Also, do you think you could tell us anything about the fissures?" he spoke. Darius wanted to leave the keyblader questions to White only because White's master and Lance's father would eventually pop up in that conversation once they got to it. He felt it would be best if either of them came up with that instead of him.

White listened to Darius's question. It was a good place to start, and he was eager to see what the old man was going to say. "I know only what Lady Silvia and Sir Joffery told me. They had shared what had happened on Destiny Island when they returned here. The fact that they ran into you on the Land of Dragons could be no coincidence."
The old man paused when the kettle on the stove began to hiss. Standing up, he went back over to the stove and brought the kettle to the table. He did not stop there however. The old man went ahead and took out five mugs. Enough for almost everyone if they chose to drink it. Placing them in the center of the table, Master Jasper selected one for himself. Pouring the liquid into the cup he said, "I always find that tea helps my worries. A strong cup of tea is sometimes just what one need's to clear the mind."
Placing the kettle back down, the old man returned to his seat. "But to answer your question son, there is not much I know in that matter. Though I am a firm believer that things tend to happen in a certain way. The fact that you have crossed paths with my apprentice must be no coincidence. The fact that you are involved in the deaths of them must be no coincidence either. And finally the very notion that you know of the fissures seems to seal your fate."
White was having a hard time following just what the old man was saying, but from what he could understand it seemed that the old man thought that they were definitely not her coincidentally. "How does us knowing of the fissures seal our "fate"? And what fate is that?"
The old man turned towards White and blinked. "How should I know what your fate is? I don't even know.you."
Now White was really confused. The old man was just talking about how their fate was sealed, and now he was acting as if he hadn't even said it at all. "Why must all old people talk in riddles?"[/i] White asked himself.
Master Jasper turned back to Darius. "I am not as knowledgeable of the fissures as I'm sure you thought I might be. I know very little of the creatures, except for the fact that they seem to have a hand in killing keyblade apprentices. At least... that's as far as I think they have gotten. I haven't heard of any deaths of the other masters yet."
White noticed that the old man had a tendency to ramble as well. At least that was what he took his taking for. "What I know of the fissures comes from your father. You don't by chance happen to know where he is do you? We haven't seen him for years now. He might be able to shed some light on this whole problem." This time the old man was talking to Lance.
The question that the old man had posed at Lance brought a brief look of sadness on White's face. It pained him to remember that his master was no longer with him. He had been his role model and friend. More then that he had been like a father to White.

Darius guessed that the old man was just simply believing their sudden arrival after those encounters hadn't been coincidence. It definitely seemed it by the way he was speaking. Oh well, Darius had thought that maybe the elder had been on to something that they all hadn't been aware about. Well, at least it settled his nerves a bit. For a second, Darius had thought they come before someone with the gift of what was called "foresight". In Meadows, there were rare individuals that had such a gift. Most of the world believed them to be fake but there were those that were the real deal. Darius had never come across them though but the things he had heard sounded rather true.
As the old man had spoken, the tea kettle gave a hiss. Turning his attention away from them, Jasper got up and took the kettle off the stove. Taking out five mugs, the old man brought the kettle and the mugs to the table. Darius looked concernedly at the wooden table then, afraid that the kettle would smoulder the table top but it hadn't. It didn't even leave a mark on the table. This dimension was definitely a strange one.
They all heard Jasper's take about tea. It seemed like most elderly people, Jasper liked to rattle on about other subjects. Darius and Lance watched as the old man poured himself a cup of tea and placed himself back down. He had confirmed that he was a believer in things happening like this to be of no coincidence and that their knowing of the fissures only seemed to seal their fate. Both perked up at this, thinking that Jasper was letting on to something now pertaining to their fate.
It was White who had finally spoken. Asking how the fissures sealed their fate and what fate was that. Jasper looked over then at White, and then answered with another question about how should he know and that he didn't even know them. Darius slipped out of his seat at that and Lance gave a sigh at that, slightly shaking his head. Old people, they had a way of saying things alright and forgetting them right after it seemed.
As Darius got backup, brushing himself off and placing himself back into his seat, Jasper had turned his attention onto him to mention the fissures. He didn't know much about them except that they seemed to be responsible for killing keyblade apprentices. As far as keyblade masters, he wasn't sure of any of their deaths since he hadn't heard anything. Before Darius knew it, the topic of Justice Wilder came up much sooner than expected.
Lance blinked at Jasper with disbelief. How in the worlds had he known Justice Wilder was Lance's father? Had he known Justice Wilder? Had Justice Wilder ever mentioned the names of his family members to Jasper ever? He didn't think so since White had seemed rather kept in the dark about it. On top of that, he knew about fissures? Now that he recalled, the people on the streets had been screaming something about Skull when he had rushed to help Sir Joffery and Lady Silvia. Why hadn't the family known about the fissures though?
The fact he was asked, Lance couldn't generally blame Jasper for asking him but the mention of Justice Wilder still brought up bitter feelings inside of him. Lance didn't like the fact his dad had left them without a word. Justice Wilder was as much a stranger as White and Darius were to Lance. As far as he was concerned, he hadn't really been family. Still, he knew White had attachment to his "father" and he refrained from saying something rude and rash.
"I wouldn't know what Justice had been doing the past twenty years. All I know is that White said he was dead. White would know more about him than I would." It was clear by the use of Justice's name and not the title father that Lance still resented him. Lance did not resent White in the least bit for knowing Justice Wilder. True, he was a bit envious but not enough to make him hate White or anything like that. If anyone was a son to Justice Wilder, White was more so relationship wise than Lance would ever be. As far as Lance was concerned, he had only been related to Justice Wilder by blood. He never got to know Justice Wilder and honestly, he didn't think he had wanted to. Justice had left the family and Lance always viewed him as a deserter for it. Pretty much, Lance was giving White the chance to speak since he would know more about his father than he would.
"How did you know that?" Lance questioned Jasper about knowing that Justice Wilder had been his father. Darius looked over at Jasper then too, wondering the same thing.
"We also think some deaths of the apprentices have to do with the keyblader's assassination committee." Darius had said that once the discussion of Justice Wilder had subsided.

White listened to Lance's response and he could hear the sort of bitter taste in his words. White could understand why Lance would feel this way, but it didn't tarnish his own memories of Justice. If anything, White felt sorry for Lance. Sorry that he had never gotten to know his father, sorry that in a way, White had taken his father away from him. For that reason he didn't speak up against the tone Lance had used.
The old man listened to what Lance had to say. "Sorry I just assumed that perhaps he had returned to his family..." When Lance brought up White, he found the old man's eyes on him. This time the old man seemed to study White with more interest then before. When Lance concluded that Justice had died, the old man let out a held in breath. "We all had thought as much since no word has come from him for so long."
White didn't really want to talk about his master's death again. But the old man must have known Justice, so he deserved a right to know. White opened his mouth to tell him what happened, but Lance had another question.
Master Jasper turned to Lance. "I was there the day you were born Lance, just as I was there the day your father was born. You're a splitting image for him at your age. But you have some of your mother in you as well. Her eyes, and her smile."
Having answered Lance's question, the old man turned to White. "Perhaps later you can tell me of your time with Justice up to his death."
White nodded in response. "As I had said before, I know very little about the fissures. What I know came from Justice and even that was simply his suspicions. He told me as well as the other masters that he had encountered a strange being in The World That Never Was. Justice informed us that this being had the body of a man, but it was not human, nor was it heartless, nobody, or anything else he had ever seen. I hate to admit it but the truth is we all thought nothing of it. We thought it was nothing more then Justice's over imagination. He spoke of power that no creature could possibly have. The power to create more of its own kind, the power to throw entire worlds into complete chaos, the power to take over even the strongest of wills."
The old man paused to take a sip of his tea. "We thought him a fool, until the incident at the Land of Dragons twenty years ago. It was on that day that the creature attacked the Land of Dragons. I happened to hear the distress call on this side of the link between our worlds. I arrived to find complete chaos. People screaming, dying, wounded. I have seen many deaths and battles in my life, but these people were torn to shreads. The entire town was covered in heartless, and at the center was the creature who called himself Skull. Justice and I took him down, but not before..."
The old man had paused as he turned to Lance. "Skull had gotten into your home... By the time we got there.... It was too late. Justice and I battled Skull, defeated him, and then he disappeared that night."
White listened to it all with interest. So this is what had happened on the day that his master had disappeared. He then would reappear thirteen years later at his mother's funeral. The old man had not forgotten Darius's comment. He had been simply answering Lance's question and Darius's former first.
"This is the first I am hearing though about a committee. What do you mean keyblader's assassination committee?"

Lance did not blame White for the disappearance of his father. Justice Wilder had left on his own accord. Though he resented his father, Lance had enough sense to respond to the old man's questions about him. It wasn't anyone's fault if they were curious about where Justice Wilder had gone. Anyone that knew him would be curious since Justice had fallen off the face of the worlds pretty much. Hearing Jasper's apology, Lance just shook his head. "It's not your fault for wondering."
He gave a nod when Jasper seemed to let out a breath, saying the obvious. Everyone had believed Justice Wilder had died. At least those who had knew him before he left his family. Since he knew Justice Wilder had left, Lance had thought of him as a deserter and then somewhere out there either died or still lived. White had only confirmed everyone's belief that he had died. Lance's bitterness ebbed away though as he glanced over at White. He did not intend to put White on a pedestal if he was still in mourning. It must've been hard for him as it already was having to tell the whole Wilder family that Justice was dead. He gave him an apologetic look then before Jasper decided to answer the other question.
Jasper somehow witnessed both of their births, apparently. Master Jasper, no doubt, must've been friends with the family and Lance's great grandmother. Lance didn't know whether to feel ashamed or embarrassed as Jasper went on to mention how similar he was of Justice save for his mother's eyes and smile. Lance would eventually find peace, that time just wasn't now though. Whatever lay in the depths of the poem book might make Lance less bitter. Once that had been answered, Lance did not meet the old man's gaze anymore. He'd let the others ask their questions.
Darius looked between Lance and White. He knew it must have bothered White a bit to hear the way Lance spoke of Justice. At least Lance hadn't insulted Justice despite his beliefs. Darius had remained quiet throughout their exchanges. All the while, he kept a careful eye on both of them. Darius hoped they wouldn't get into an argument.
When the topic turned back to the fissures, Darius and Lance listened although the latter did not look at Jasper the entire time. Lance had a lot to think about, after all. Justice had learned of the fissures from The World That Never Was. No one had believed him, apparently. No doubt, that was a terrible mistake on the part of those Justice confided in. They didn't believe him only until just twenty years ago. The time when Justice left.
Lance then looked over at Jasper. He hadn't been told any insight on why he left so he listened. Maybe Jasper knew the reason behind Justice's leaving? Darius sat there too, listening intently. The room was so quiet, save for Jasper's voice, that one might be able to hear a pin drop. That day was when the creature attacked. Skull had wrought a lot of havoc then, Lance had heard tales of the creature's treachery.
Jasper and Justice took Skull down but it wasn't before he had made it to the Wilder estate. It was there that the creature had got hold of family members. Lance had been told his mother died in child birth. However, hearing about Skull, Lance had to wonder if his mom had also died during that time and if Skull had murdered her. He wouldn't doubt it since the other family members, the two uncles that had also died, one of them Brayden's father had been killed. It was after that, that Justice had left. The loss of his family added with everything else appeared to be the reason why Justice left but to leave for that long? "...I...see..." Lance stated slowly. Once again, another crushing realization.
Then, the subject turned to the keyblader's assassination committee. Darius gave a nod when the old man spoke. Apparently, it was new to him. "White and I have been coming across them a lot during our travels. White knows them for they are responsible for Justice's death. They are a committee of assassins with the intention of killing off those who wield a keyblade." He didn't say his sister's involvement with them. Darius was still getting over the realization himself and debating if this now made them enemies or not. Was the sister he knew still in there?

The old man scratched his long beard in thought. "I see." He said to them all. Taking a sip of tea, White wondered just what was going on in the old man's head. What did he think about all of this? Could he help them?
"And how many of these assassins have you encountered?"
White had to pause a moment to think about the question. There was Smiles and Ivory, that was two. Then they had encountered the one who had helped them and led them to Wonderland, that was three. The one they had encountered in the Land of Dragons made four. "We've run into four different individuals all claiming to be a part of this committee." White said.
He didn't bother to mention that one of them was Darius's sister. It was not his place to say so. In fact, only he and Darius actually knew that Ivory was involved in the evil organization. Mr. Thomas and Arya had never been told and Lance had just joined the group. White had no plans on informing them either. It would be for Darius to do so if he wished.
"To take down a keyblade master is no easy feat. Even Justice who was considered the youngest of us, could easily hold off a good amount of men before he was taken down. By chance what sort of weapon have they been using? A sword, a dagger, magic?"
White believed that the reason the keyblade assassination committee were so good at their job was because of the weapon they used. "They use guns." The answer came from Arya.
This brought silence for a brief moment to Master Jasper. "That would explain why they were killed then. We keyblade masters might have extraordinary powers, but most of us are still human. We are still vulnerable when are guard is down. Justice never saw it coming did he. Nor did Lady Silvia most likely. Bah! I am too old for this. In my day guns existed on one world, and we were determined to keep it that way."
White had heard of guns. Everyone knew what a gun was, it could be found in the most common of weaponry books. But the majority of people did not sell guns. Even the guns that the assassination committee used, were not made with real bullets. Rather particles of energy. To White it always seemed that they were not any more dangerous then a sword or dagger.
"All weapons kill." White found himself saying. Even his own kantana, used against people, could kill them if hit.
The old man rolled his eyes at White's comment. "Yes, but guns can kill from afar. They are deadly as a sword, yet can not be reflected as much as if they were just magic. A skilled gunman is a fearful foe indeed. But I am getting off track. So you are here now. I thank you for bringing back our princess and accompanying Sir Joffery. No doubt word by now has spread to the rest of the city of her death. You are more then welcome to stay for the funeral and as long as your heart desires. I'm sure we can find you quarters in the castle. But what do you want of me?"

When Jasper asked them how many they had encountered, after taking a brief moment to take a sip from his tea, Darius glanced over at White. So far, they had encountered four of them. Four, if you counted Ivory as one and right now, it really looked it. When next he saw Ivory, he had every intention of dragging her sorry butt back. There just had to be something wrong with her! All he could think about were the things Smiles had said to them when Ivory had left their company. Hopefully, she was still alive. Searching his heart, he knew that she had to be. They were twins, after all. Their bond was different from typical siblings. They were connected by a bit of a telepathic bond. If one were to die, the other would know it, right? After all, there were time when they'd finish each other's sentences or sense what the other was feeling from time to time.
"We're under the impression that there's more of them but just how many more, we're not sure. And actually, you know of five, White, not four." Darius was talking about the man that had killed Justice Wilder but he hadn't said this part because he did not want to sadden White. White had seemed to know about the man, after all and did say he was from the committee. At least, that's what Darius thought he had said. Darius could be wrong in that.
It wasn't long before Master Jasper spoke. Darius figured killing a keyblade master was no easy job. It was difficult enough dealing with just a regular keyblader. At least, that's what Darius figured since they were said to be the most powerful fighters in the worlds. He inwardly flinched though when Jasper asked them what weapon had been used on Justice. Lance and Darius both looked over at Arya when she said they appeared to use guns. Most of the ones they knew did save for Ivory. That is, unless she was given one. Darius didn't think his sister had one yet since she was new to them and all. He could be proved wrong though depending on their next encounter.
They turned their attention to Jasper when he said that their guards must have been down. They were human too and were vulnerable as well. Well, that was true but everyone was vulnerable to something or other. Guns were dangerous, yes but there were things that could be...okay, maybe not. Guns were known for their swift speed in attacking from afar. Smiles, as Darius knew very well, had been a very slippery fiend and a quick shot. The bullets were made of energy but they still hurt like hell. If he hadn't held back like he promised Ivory, Smiles would've likely killed White and Darius.
White stated the obvious and honestly, Darius agreed with him. Jasper though seemed annoyed with that, rolling his eyes. He agreed as well but was making it a point that guns were more difficult than your typical weapon. They were as dangerous as swords when it came to long range combat. Darius knew that well enough. As mentioned before, he could've been killed by Smiles in an instant. White and Darius needed more training, that much was certain. As for the others, Darius wasn't sure if they would need it as well or not. Arya might since she was young but her spells so far seemed pretty strong.
Jasper went on to thank them, getting back on track, for accompanying Sir Joffery back to the castle. Word now must have spread about Silvia's death and they were welcome to stay for the funeral and for as long as they'd like. Their headquarters could be arranged. When he asked them what they wanted of him, Darius wasn't exactly sure. They had come for answers and had gotten some but not much more than what they started out with.
"Er...what do you think we need? I do know we need training but er...that's probably not something that can be done here. We'd love to attend the funeral and pay our respects." That was something, that last part, that Darius knew the whole lot of them would want to do.

White had actually not remembered the fifth man he had met. It had been so long that White had forgotten for a brief moment the one man who had caused this whole mess to begin with. Yes, he had met five. He had no clue as to how many there actually were, but form the ones he had met it was clear they varied in age.
The old man gave Darius the most blank look. It was one very similar to the one he had given White. "How the hell should I know? I don't even know you." White found himself rolling his eyes at the old man. He was a slightly confusing one.
When Darius went on to state that they needed training and that they would love to attend the funeral, White nodded. He wanted to stay for the funeral. He owed it to Lady Silvia and Sir Joffery for helping them back in Destiny Island. "We'll definitely stay to pay our respects. Both Lady Silvia and Sir Joffery helped us when we needed it."
In response to the statement of training, the old man went on to address it. "I might not look it, but I'm an old man now. If you had come to me ten years ago, perhaps then I would have told you that I would be happy to train you. However, age has not been kind to me. I spent all that I had left into Lady Silvia as by request of her parents. I simply do not have the power anymore."
White had to hide back a little snicker when the old man said he might not look old. By far the old man was the oldest looking person he had ever met with the long beard and frail looking hands and face. But he wasn't going to say that out loud.
"If you wish to really train I suggest you search out my friends. Being masters they need to be told of what is happening. No doubt some of their apprentices have died as well. They have the means to help you where I cannot."
Remembering Ray's words, he had spoken of four keyblade masters. One of which was right in front of him. That meant there were three others out there. "Who should we seek out first then? And where can we find your friends?"
The old man scratched his beard again in thought. "The only whereabouts I know for sure would be Lily. She will be at her home in Disney Castle. However she is as nearly old as I am. She won't be able to help you as much in the training area. But if you could pass on that message of the fact that were being hunted by assassins that would be a dear thing to do."
Master Jasper was putting a hint of sarcasm in his words to make things a bit more light hearted. White didn't think he was doing it on purpose, rather it was simply natural to his character.
"Master Riki on the other hand is a bit harder to track down. He could be in the Deep Jungle, that was the last I heard of where he was, or he could be in the Pride Lands. That's where he's from. And Master Toman... now he is tricky. He has a good twelve apprentices, all varying from the age of Lady Silvia up to their twenties. And he could be accompanying any one of them on their missions. I would check La Cite des Cloches. His oldest apprentice is there, he might be able to track him down for you."

Darius blinked back over at Jasper when he suddenly said that. It had been the same thing to what White had said and the old man had seemed to forgotten what they were talking about earlier. Darius almost fell out of his seat again and Lance had the hardest time refraining from bringing a palm to his face at that moment. They guessed that they really couldn't blame Jasper's memory deficiency. Jasper was a very old man, after all. Memory problems would be a common thing for him.
As White spoke, smoothing over Jasper's brief memory loss and comical reaction, Darius and Lance gave a nod again. They would all attend the funeral in respects for Lady Silvia and Sir Joffery. Jasper, in response to the training thing, Darius honestly hadn't gotten his hopes up. It was very clear to him that the man was elderly.
Lance couldn't help but blink at Jasper though when he stated that they might not know it but he was a very old man. It was as plain as day to them that Jasper was old. He no longer had the power anymore having given what he had left into Lady Silvia. In a way, that was rather sad to hear. Lady Silvia had been Master Jasper's final legacy and now she was gone. Darius pretty much gave the same expression as Lance had to Jasper when he stated that he might not look it but was old.
"Er..." Darius really wasn't sure how to respond to that without coming off as rude so he shut himself up at that moment. Then, Jasper went on to say that if they really wished to train that they should seek out the other keyblade masters. Darius looked over at White then. Like it or not, they both needed more training. Also, it would help to alert the others about the keyblader's assassination committee. The more they thwarted the committee's plans, the better.
Hearing White's question, Darius knew that White was agreeing to setting out to find the remaining keyblade masters. It looked like they were all on the same boat here. Bringing his gaze back onto Jasper, Darius listened as he explained where he believed each keyblade master to be. Lily was in Disney Castle and the other two might be harder to locate. Riki was either in Deep Jungle or Pride Lands. Toman, on the other hand, would be trickier to find. Unlike the others, Toman was active, probably younger than the rest of the masters since he was able to be out there so much with as many of his apprentices. The only way they'd likely be able to find him is with the help of one of his oldest apprentices found in La Cite des Cloches.
"Alright..." Darius trailed off before looking over at the others. "What do you guys and lady think?" he asked for their opinions. White, he already figured could be intent on doing this sort of thing. It may just be an interesting experience in the long run even if they didn't get much training out of it.
Lance spoke. "I'm fine with your choice. Grand Uncle Ray had sent me out to accompany you all and that I will do."

White hated chasing people around. It was all they had been doing from the start of all this. Chase after this, go after that. For once White just wanted to take these suckers head on. But he couldn't. They continued to work in the shadows and away from the eyes of the public. That might be the nature of the assassin, but that did not mean that White had to like it.
Though White had to ask himself the obvious question. Even if they did know where he was, were they ready to take them on? The honest answer was no. They weren't. That was why they needed the training. White had not experienced the battle against Smiles as Darius had. But he had seen the outcome of the battle. His friend had nearly died. He didn't want that to happen to any of their group.
Mr. Thomas and Arya were with the plan. "Sounds like the right thing to do... But what of the other worlds that we left behind? We have no clue as to what is occurring in Halloween Town or Wonderland since we left. Shouldn't we take a visit there as well?"
Out of the corner of his eye, White noticed a look of slight confusion cross over Master Jasper's face. "Halloween Town?"
White glanced back at the old man with a look on his face that could only be disbelief. Was this another loss in his memory again? Had he seriously never been to Halloween Town? Mr. Thomas pipped in. "It is the world we are from."
The old man simply shook his head. "I have been to every world... And I know no world called Halloween Town."
Mr. Thomas and Arya glanced over to White and Darius looking for help. "It's the world with the pumpkin lamps and everyone who lives there is from a nightmare. There are also doors to other towns there as well" That was the best way White could describe it.
Master Jasper scratched his beard in thought. "Perhaps you mean Christmas Town? But I know of no world with pumpkin lamps or people from nightmares. Though there is a door with a pumpkin on it, but all that leads to is ice and snow."
That brought silence among White, Mr. Thomas, and Arya. They had left the world with an oncoming snow storm on the way. "You have no memory of ever being in Halloween Town?... It is on the other side of that door." Arya asked.
Master Jasper shook his head. "I have many memories of Christmas Town, but none of this place you speak of." This was a problem. Either the man was having a memory lapse, or Halloween Town was gone. And if it was, did everyone not remember it?

Darius and Lance turned their sight onto Arya and Mr. Thomas when they spoke. They were right. Before Lance joined their group, they weren't sure yet of what was going on in the other worlds they had visited since. Halloweentown was left in a nasty snowstorm and Wonderland, it wasn't sure if the White Queen finally took over from her now deceased sister, the Red Queen.
"You're right, we need to check on the conditions of those two worlds." As he said it, Darius couldn't help but feel as if all the tasks they had to do were piling up everywhere. If the keyblader's assassination committee continued to be allowed to do what they did, and the fissures were still around, no doubt it would just grow more hectic as time passed. Still, they weren't going to give up. Well, Darius wasn't going to, he wasn't so sure about the others. The only thing that drove him was Ivory, the fact she was doing such things.
"Should we check Destiny Islands and Land of Dragons too some time after as well? I know they're not in as serious a condition as those two other worlds but at some point, when we've time, maybe we should check those again too?" he inquired.
Everyone looked over at Jasper when he spoke. There was confusion on his face at the mention of Halloweentown. Didn't he know of that world? Darius was under the impression that he had seen most if not all the worlds in his time. Maybe he was having a memory lapse again? Lance, since he had never been to Halloweentown, just gave an equally confused look. Mr. Thomas and Arya went on to say it had been the world they were from. Despite that, Jasper still didn't know what they were talking about.
Darius and Lance looked over at White as he tried to explain Halloweentown to Jasper. The old man still didn't seem to get what they meant. Surely, no one would forget such a world? Darius surely hadn't. The world left not a great impression upon him. The creepy factor generally never left many people's minds. So how come Jasper didn't recognize it? Obviously, his memory wasn't so bad considering he had recognized Christmastown. The fact he mentioned Halloweentown was a world of just ice and snow behind a pumpkin door bothered Darius. Did this mean people wouldn't remember Halloweentown other than those who have been there during that battle?
"...We should probably visit Halloweentown first, guys."

White glanced over at Darius when he piped in. The situation was not looking good at all from what Master Jasper was saying. Darius had it right. They should visit the world. "I understand that perhaps you feel you should, but word must get out to the other masters. I would do it myself but I don't have the youth to track the younger ones down."
White understood the urgency. Especially with the keyblade assassination committee targeting keybladers. It was only natural that the old man would feel that warning them was more important. But they needed to check Halloween Town. "I'll go..." It was Mr. Thomas who spoke up.
Turning towards him, White gave him a questioning look. "It's obvious we don't have time. He's right, you guys need to warn the other keybladers. But someone should check up on Halloween Town. Or whatever is left of it..."
White opened his mouth to speak, but it was Arya to pipe in. "Then I'm going with you." White didn't understand why they didn't all just go.
"No you should stay with them. It will be easier this way. If your with them I'll be able to find you with the link." Mr. Thomas said in reply.
A look of worry crossed Arya. "But I won't be able to communicate with you... What if something happens..."
Mr. Thomas placed a hand on her shoulder. "You know if I died you'd feel it. You'll be alright. White and Darius and Lance will be here to protect you."
White could tell Arya did not like the idea one bit. But she could see no other way to do this. "Alright..."
Mr. Thomas suddenly stood. "I don't know how long it will take me, but I will try to fix things there. If I can't I'll come and seek you guys out. But I should go now. It will take me a few days to travel there."
White nodded. He didn't like this, but there really was no other way to do it. "We'll look after her." Once everyone had said their goodbyes, Arya gave Mr. Thomas a hug.
As he turned to go, Master Jasper halted him. "Wait young man." He said. Reaching into his pocket, the old man pulled out a small box that fit in the palm of his hand. "This is a special item. When you are ready to return to your friends open it."
Mr. Thomas nodded and gave Msater Jasper his thanks. "I'll see you soon everyone." And with that he left. Things had sure happened very quickly... White didn't want this, but it was what Mr. Thomas wanted to do. He wasn't going to stop him.
"I think that perhaps that is enough for today. Why don't you return to the front gates. I'll send word to the guards to prepare rooms for you. We will have more time to speak tomorrow after the funeral."

Darius gave a bit of a sigh as Jasper stated that they should send word to the other keyblade masters about the situation. He knew that but it didn't make their situation any easier. Everything was just piling up one after the other. Sometimes, it may be too difficult to decide where to turn next. Really, they did not have an easy road to travel. The sooner they found someone to train with, the sooner things would start looking a bit brighter and less hopeless.
When Mr. Thomas spoke up, everyone turned their attention to him. The idea of them having to split up didn't bode well with Darius. Still, it looked like they hadn't any real choice. It was either that or risk losing one or the other. Time would not wait for them and a lot was at stake here. Darius gave an understanding nod of his head when Mr. Thomas explained himself to White.
"He's right. Either or, we'd have to split up considering how urgent both things are. Otherwise, we'd risk losing one and that wouldn't exactly be right to turn our backs on things we've left unfinished or allow the committee to harm more keybladers when they're not in the know."
Arya, who was the closest to Mr.Thomas, stated that she would go with him. Mr. Thomas immediately refused saying it would be easier this way and that she had the others to protect her. After some exchange between them, Arya finally agreed to it. Hopefully, nothing would happen to Mr. Thomas. Darius had enjoyed his company and they all had been through a lot together so far in such little time. It was after their exchange that Mr. Thomas decided that he would head out now seeing as it would take him a few days to travel to his and Arya's homeworld. In a way, the whole thing made Darius feel guilty. White and Darius had sort of kept going elsewhere when they should have returned to checkup on things.
"We'll make sure no one dares harm her. Take care, Mr. Thomas. We'll see you when next we meet." They all watched as he took his leave of them, only just after Jasper had handed him a means of returning to his friends. Lance nodded to confirm that he, too, would do his part in helping keep an eye on their youngest member of their group. He was used to watching over his younger cousin anyway so this wouldn't be much of a problem for him.
"Farewell, Mr. Thomas." With that, he was gone and they were now left with Jasper. Darius and Lance looked over at the old man as he stated that he guessed this concluded everything for the day. He informed them that they should head to the front gates and wait to be given rooms for the night so that they may attend the funeral. After the funeral, they'd have more time to talk. Darius gave a nod at this as he got to his feet. "Yes, sir. Thank you very much for your hospitality and your time during such a difficult moment. We'll see you next time." With that, Darius gave an incline of his head and then headed for the door.
Lance got to his feet as well and placed a hand over his heart in some sort of salute-like fashion. "Thank you, Master Jasper for your kindness and what you could tell us." With that, he began to head after the rest as well, only lingering a little to ensure the younger ones had started their leave as well.
