The portal that Tears created led to the main lobby. It was the only area inside the castle that she could create a portal too. Unlike Smiles who could fashion a portal out of just pretty much anything, Tears was limited to using the pre-created portals. And there were only two of those: one outside the tower, and the one they stepped out of.
Leading them, Tears felt a lessen of the voices the moment she walked into the lobby. The couches, the different furniture, all of it was gone now. All that was left were the doors that led further up the castle and down to the moving stair case, and the bar that was now cleaned and abandoned.
He said he'd meet them here, and he kept his word. White was the last person to walk out of the portal and it closed behind him. Mr. Thomas and Princess Leliana were all looking around the room. Even to White it was clear that this place seemed a bit vacant. It was wide enough for a battle though, if this was indeed a trap.
"This used to be our old headquarters for a while. It's safe from the Fissures."
Mr. Thomas asked the question that White wanted to ask. "Why is it safe?"
White glanced over to Tears to answer, but before she could a voice spoke. "That is because this world is a mirror." Princess Leliana glanced in front of her to see a large man walk into the room from one of the doors. He was a large man, standing at six foot five and Princess Leliana could have easily guessed that he weighed three hundred pounds. With dark skin, a big belly, big arms, and a goatee he looked like he could crush someone with his weight alone.
She had never seen the man before though. Lakari, who had never seen the man before either, figured that this must be Tear's friend. The one who had been sent her to help them. He wondered just why though. What reasons did this man have to play a hero?
White on the other hand did know this person. His eyes filled with rage the moment he turned his head. His hands tightened into a fists as the rage he had held back for years finally began to seek forth. His eyes were cast into an angry scorn. He heard nothing, saw nothing but the man in front of him. This was the man he had sworn revenge against. This was the man he had sworn he would not stop until he was as filled with as many wounds as Justice had been.
One moment White was standing next to them. The next he was filled with electricity and shot towards the man. His kantana was in his hand and his voice screamed, "Murder!"
A quick look of surprise did cross the man's face, but White didn't see it. All he saw was Justice in his arms, filled with bullet wounds. He did not hear Tears shout, "White wait!" The only thing he heard was the sound of his own cries back then. The tears fell from his face of their own accord and White rose his kantana and slashed with all of his might behind it.
White's sword met the resistance of a blade, but he did not bother to look at what. If he had he would have seen that it was a blue keyblade with a sky blue hilt with a dark blue round guard. The beginning of the blade was a sapphire dragon head with an open mouth where a water blue blade came out and ended in a round wave that gave the weapon a key shape.
His weapon bounced off the enemy's as it continued to parry strike after strike. White was so succumbed to attacking and killing this man that he did not even see that the man's appearance had changed the moment the weapon had appeared in his hand to block White's attack. Gone was the large dark man, and in his place was someone else.
Standing at about six feet, he was dressed in a black cloak from head to toe with black gloves. With long light blue hair, steel gray eyes, and sharp features he was most likely in his forties to fifties. Only two people in the room had the ability to recognize him. The first, was White who was to busy trying to attack him. The other was Lance, but only if he had seen a picture of him among the other family photos.
White went in for another attack, but his enemy seemed to tire of this for he said. "White, enough!" With a hard strike against White's electric infused kantana was almost knocked out of his hands. He had to hold onto it just to stop it flying from his hand. However this left his chest exposed.
With a quick front kick, White was knocked back and to the floor. Stunned White looked up for the first time and his eyes widened in pure shock. "M......Master?" Justice Wilder looked down at White.
"Yes, yes. I'm alive."

As they had traveled through the portal that Tears had opened up for them, Darius glanced around the area they stepped into. It was a wide room. Immediately, he could see the potential for a wide enough space to fight in. Was it a trap? He wasn't sure yet but it looked like the area was mostly vacant. No one else seemed to be in this very room just yet. Tears then told them that this had been the committee's old headquarters and that it would be safe from the fissures. Darius had to wonder how it could possibly be safe from the Fissures.
Mr. Thomas had been the one to voice that particular question out of them all. Darius glanced over at the elf before looking towards Tears for an answer. She made to speak but someone else spoke over her. Searching for the owner to the voice, Darius found a very round looking man that stood at six feet in height. If he were to body slam any of them, Darius had a feeling that it wouldn't end well for either of them.
Apparently, this world was a mirror. Darius gave the person who answered them a confused look. How could a mirror world prevent Fissures from getting in here? Before he could even ask that though, what came next surprised the lot of them. White had shot out at the figure, screaming murder. Did that mean what Darius thought it meant? It all happened so fast though that Darius wasn't sure how to react. Still, he did go into a battle ready stance. He would allow White to take revenge for his deceased master and knew it was White's rightful place to kill the man. He wouldn't hold it against him and he wouldn't get in White's way for seeking revenge.
However, something else happened that made Darius and the others take pause. The weapon the opponent used to block White's sword with hadn't been a gun or anything else. In fact, it was a keyblade! Darius ceased his stance to look puzzled. Why was a keyblade wielding committee member in the committee? Wouldn't he have been murdered by now? The keyblade assassination committee was meant to kill keybladers! "What the-?" Darius began to say as Tears shouted at White to wait. Understandably, White did not wait. The man still looked like the one that killed his master and White was going to kill him. Still, how could that be the same man? White had said his master died from multiple gunshot wounds.
That's when the man's appearance had changed. Darius didn't recognize the man but he was surprised by the appearance. The man had long, light blue hair and his eyes! Why, they looked just like a Wilder's! After having visited the Wilder family, he had seen enough blue hair to know when he was potentially looking at a Wilder. That and the appearance similarity was somewhat uncanny! Darius had glanced over at Lance in wonder. There were differences but there were obvious similarities. If he didn't know any better, Darius would've said-
Then, White realized who he was attacking after the man had changed form and kicked back White. Seeing him now, White realized that the man was his master and had even said it! It was Justice Wilder! "Okay, now I'm completely mind blown," came Darius's response. While Darius was surprised, he hadn't been the only one. Nearly everyone had to have been by some degree.
Lance was beside himself at this moment. He wasn't even sure what to think on the realization. Should he leave? Should he stay? Should he be happy? A swirl of things came to him then and all he could do right now was remain rooted to the spot. So, like Lance, he had lead White to believe that he was dead too? Should Lance be furious? It was all so confusing. Lance didn't even know how to react, he just remained silent. Despite his confusion, anger was swelling up inside of him and his eyes were especially expressing it. His thoughts harbored on what kind of emotional pain that White had to go through during that time. Fooled into thinking that Justice had been dead all this time only to find out he wasn't. Unlike Lance, White had known Justice Wilder and even viewed him as a father. The man had gone and...and did this! He basically did a second round of what he did to the Wilder family!
"You!" was all Lance was able to finally utter.
"...I'm fairly certain right now there are a lot of questions that need answering..." Darius said, feeling a bit nervous by the look on Lance's face after he seemed to recognize Justice. He could just sense some sort of family feud that might take place soon, including White's involvement since White was technically a family member by Wilder standards. He had even viewed Justice Wilder as his father figure. Was White angry too? Darius glanced over at him to try and assess what his best friend was going through.

Justice Wilder was alive.... White was in complete shock. How could that even be possible? Mr. Thomas and Princess Leliana both had similar surprised expressions. White though, he was feeling a mix of things. Surprise, happiness, anger, all a mix of emotions!
Lance's statement and expression did not bypass Justice. He had noticed his son's exclamation and could see the look on his face. For the moment his eyes looked past White and to Justice. "I have a lot of explaining to do." He said. While his words were for everyone, they were directed more towards Lance. Justice had done his family a large disservice by making them believe he was dead. He had left his son to be raised by his father and mother.
Tears though, did know Justice. She had known who he was from the beginning, but she did not know the connection he had with White and Lance. She walked over to him and looked up at him. "Please.... they're coming back..."
Justice stretched his hand and placed it on her forehead. A small light traveled down his arm and over her head to disappear inside. "Thank you." She said with a smile. Tears could hear the voices being drowned out once again.
'How.... How are you alive? I watched you...."
Justice glanced over at White, who had picked himself off the floor to stand beside the rest of his friends. Justice sighed. There really wasn't much time. He knew they had many questions, but there was a lot to do and little time to get it done. "Illusion. What you thought was me dying was really the large man I have been impersonating in this organization for the last three years now."
"But I don't understand... Why? Why all of this? Why did you leave me? Why did you leave Lance? Why?"

Lance was finding it very difficult to not explode right now. Standing right before him was the man that helped give him life. His father was well and alive. Lance would've probably found peace with the things he knew about his father eventually if he had remained dead. Now that he was alive, Lance could only think of how the man just seemed to make it a habit of hiding himself from everyone that ever cared about him and making them think he was dead. Lance could only feel anger above all of the other emotions inside of him. If he got any angrier, he might unintentionally have wind surging around him very soon.
As he stood there clenching his fists, his whole body rigid, he heard Justice speak as his gaze turned from White to him for a moment. Oh, he had a lot of explaining to do! Lance, however, wasn't even sure if he would want to listen to him when the time came though. He was so pissed off at him. It was one thing to make your family think you were dead by just up and leaving them all. It was quite another if one were to do the same exact thing, going as far as leaving an illusion that appeared as if he had died right in front of White! It was taking every bit of his self control right now to not try and punch him in the face for it. How dare he make White feel like that! How dare he make anyone feel like that! None of them deserved that.
Tears took that moment then to walk over to Justice. As she did so, she looked up at him and pleaded with him for something, stating that something was coming back. Darius wondered what she meant by that as he watched Justice place a hand on Tears's forehead. A small light went from him to Tears's head. When it went away, Tears had thanked him with a smile. The brief distraction, Darius was thankful for but he didn't know how long the peace would last before a full out explosion took place. Already, he could see Lance was a walking time bomb. White, on the other hand, just seemed confused right now. Honestly, Darius was nervous of the idea of getting caught in between it all.
It was then that White asked Justice how he was alive. That he had watched Justice die. White was now standing beside them all. Justice sighed and then revealed the reason had been because of an illusion. All of those three years, Justice had been alive. The man White thought of as his master had actually been the man that had tried to kill Justice. White had been suffering for three years now for nothing. Knowing this, Lance's anger just grew with time. He had even let White probably cry over a man that wasn't even him but a villain! How could he do that?! Lance was doing his hardest now not to let a wind pick up around him but it was hard. It was very hard right now.
Darius felt sympathy towards White as he realized that his master had been alive all this time. The questions White was asking Justice made Darius feel terrible. No doubt, White must've felt as if he were abandoned or something. As for Lance, Darius could sort of understand his feelings to a degree. Lance had thought Justice abandoned the Wilder family and believed him dead too. No doubt, he hated him for it. Darius lowered his gaze to the floor then. How terribly sad.
After a moment, he looked up towards Justice. Surely, there had to be a very damn good reason for the things he did, right? For his sake, Darius truly hoped he did. Otherwise, Darius would come to hate him to for doing that to White. White didn't deserve that at all.

There was no easy answer to any of this. That was the truth. Justice glanced over to Lance and White. He had expected White to have the emotions that Lance was currently showing. Truthfully Justice hadn't expected Lance to go with White. He hadn't thought that his father and uncle would send Lance with them. When he saw them on the Land of the Dragons he had been proud to see that Lance had grown up into such a strong young man.
"Not all of this is going to make sense. Truth is we do not have alot of time to spend talking about this. I've waited twenty years now for the opportune moment to take down the fissures, and that moment is coming."
Sighing, he let his keyblade disappear. "Everything started when a man killed...." Justice had to pause for a moment to catch himself. It had been twenty years since her death and still he had a hard time speaking of it. "When a man killed my wife." To Lance he added, "Your mother, Lance."
"I don't know how much dad....er... your grandfather told you, but before he left I got into a fight with my brother. It was over you actually. At the time I couldn't handle you by myself. You were just a child and without.... without your mother... I decided I needed some time to think. I told your grandmother to look after you, and I left. I didn't think that would be the last time I'd ever see you. I intended to come back. I wanted to come back. But then I ran into the man who we though we had killed."
"The fissure you ran into in the Enchanted Domain is the same person who killed your mother. Now he wears a different body, but he is one and the same. As long as I was alive and was known to be alive, he would look for you to get to me. I could not endanger my family again. I would not. For that reason I abandoned you and everyone. As long as he lived I was a danger to everyone, including my son."
While this explained why Justice had left Lance and his family it did not explain why he left White. Why he chose to fake his death. It didn't even explain why he was there for White in the first place. But now his words were directed at Lance. And White would wait.

It felt like everyone was waiting on the edge of a cliff. All of them were teetering, threatening to fall off the cliff or fall backward. With the tension so high in the air, Darius had to wonder how long it would take before the hurricane threatening to start would reach them all in this situation. Ever so carefully, Darius looked from Justice to White and then to Lance. Lance was obviously furious, probably just barely holding down his temper right now. White, White still seemed very confused.
Then, Justice spoke. A lot wasn't going to make sense and they didn't have a lot of time to spend talking on the subject. Even still, Lance wasn't sure how he was going to keep his cool. It was difficult to focus his mind whenever he was angry. Once he got mad, it wasn't easy for him to simmer down. He was pretty surprised White wasn't as furious as he was. Maybe White was just so surprised right now that he wasn't sure what to think? Either way, Lance was ticked off and he didn't think he'd be able to cool down. Not without a bit of an explanation, at the very least.
Darius and Lance listened as Justice mentioned that he had been waiting twenty years to kill the fissures. That moment was on the rise, apparently. As he let out a sigh, Justice made the keyblade go away. Then, he went into an explanation about how it all began when a man had killed his wife. Lance had figured that was what had happened to his mother but his grandparents and grand uncle had kept it all hush hush. They tried to tell him that she had died in childbirth. A better reason than murder to give to a child at the time who wanted to know who his parents were and how come he didn't see them. He was never told who his father was except his father had died too during the time of Skull. Of course, it hadn't taken Lance long to figure things out. When White and Darius appeared, Lance had been able to put two and two together much faster than his grandparents had thought he would. For that, he had been angry. Who wouldn't be angry?
Lance's anger wasn't entirely centered on Justice though. He was still angry with how his grandparents and grand uncle had tried to conceal the truth from him. All this time, he had blamed himself for his mother's death thinking his birth was what had killed her. For it, he had hated himself and even blamed himself for the reason as to why Justice had left once he figured out that Justice was his father. It also didn't help when he was told of the past, how things were relayed to him. It was never explained why Justice had left them. No one knew for sure why he had left them. Before he learned that Justice was his dad, he had thought he was a coward for just up and leaving them all for no reason at all.
Then, when White came, it only increased Lance's hate because he found out that Justice hadn't died and had actually been very much alive until a certain point. He had never told his family anything and had pretty much seemed to have abandoned them all. That was also why he had reacted the way he did when White brought the news of Justice's death and then the truth of who his actual father had finally come out. His grandparents, Lance had forgiven but that didn't mean it eased his anger any. It seemed that the entire time, they had been trying to protect him from the truth as a child and even now so that he didn't think he had been the reason why his father had left in the first place. At least, that's what he had come to believe and his mother's death, he figured his grandparents didn't want to scare him more by thinking that there was someone out there that could return to kill them all. A person that would kill him after having killed his mother. However, their way of doing it still didn't help because he had wound up blaming himself for his mother's death. It had turned out to be the complete opposite of their intentions.
Lance's expression didn't waver though even with that bit of an explanation. Then, Justice explained that before he had left, he fought with one of Lance's uncles at the time over him. This had been something Lance didn't know. An uncle, aware that Justice was probably leaving, was probably trying to stop him from doing so. Well, that explained the fight. Maybe that was also why Brayden was never told anything either? It wasn't always good to talk about family fighting. Maybe they thought Brayden would hate Lance for the fight between their fathers? Then, the reasons for Justice's leaving came out. At the time, he couldn't take care of Lance by himself and without his mother around, Justice believed that he just needed some time to think. It was the reason why he left and had left Lance to the care of his grandparents. His grandparents had left his care then to his aunt being too old to keep up with him once he got a bit older. It was after the time he had left when Justice revealed that he didn't think it being the last time to ever see him and the rest of the family. He had planned on returning and wanted to but bumped into the man they thought they had killed.
Still angry, Lance stubbornly refused to ease down a bit as he continued to listen to what Justice was telling them all. The fissure that they ran into in the Enchanted Domain was the same person that had killed his own mother. At this, Lance's anger seemed to have been replaced with realization. That monster had killed his own mother? So, he was Skull?! At this, Lance looked to the floor, his eyes wide. He had no idea that his mother's own killer had been standing right before them all at that very moment. It was probably a good thing he didn't know at that time or he would've done something very stupid if he knew the man had been Skull.
When he looked back over at Justice, Lance listened to him continue on about Skull. He wore a different body compared to the first time but he was still the same person. Justice believed that as long as he was known to be alive that Skull would once again go after their family again to get to him. Ultimately, it had made Justice decide to leave them completely because he couldn't endanger his family a second time. He couldn't bring himself to endanger them again knowing what the man had done to his family before. He was dangerous being around them and that's why he had left.
There was a silence, White said nothing during this time. Justice had given Lance the answers he had been trying to figure out finally. Now that he knew the truth, Lance wasn't really sure how to react. It probably bothered Justice a lot to have left them because of Skull. Now, what about White? As the memory of what White had revealed to them all came to him, Lance found some anger still. "...You messed us up the way you left. It's because of the way you left that grandfather and grandmother have told me other things in attempts to explain what happened. Even mom's death!" he growled. However, he could feel the anger in him ebbing down a bit. The only anger now that remained was now the situation with White. How could he have left White the way he did and in the fashion that he did it?
"What of White then, Justice? Didn't it ever occur to you just how much you hurt everyone leaving? How do you think he feels? How we felt! You left us all without a trace or word, then he comes to our home and tells us that you died in his arms. Not only that but the realization we all had knowing that you had actually been alive all this time leaving wondering why you had abandoned us all before your death and chose to never contact us. Now, here you are, alive! White had to suffer through those years thinking you were dead with that image constantly in his mind and then having to go as far as seeking us all out and telling us about how you died because he felt we all had a right to know." Now, the anger was returning again. Lance's anger just seemed to come as swiftly as the wind.
Darius honestly wondered the same thing before he looked to Justice for an answer. He also had to inwardly flinch at the fact that Lance hadn't even referred to Justice as his father and just chose to call him by his name instead. That alone let Darius know just how mad Lance was.

Justice grew silent at the onslaught of Lance's questions. Lance had every right to be angry, and his points about White were valid. White listened to them as well. He was glad that Lance was able to ask them, for he might not have been able too. The truth was, White was just glad that his master was alive. He could ask all the questions he really wanted to ask.
Glancing over at White, Justice looked over at him. It was true. He had abandoned White, but only out of necessity. "I understand why you abandoned your family... But that doesn't explain anything about me."
The truth was that it did not. "Eight years into the search for what exactly that man was, I received word of your mother's death White. I knew with your father dead, no one would be able to look after you. Lance had a whole family to back him up, I could not leave you by yourself."
White didn't understand though. How did Justice receive word of his mother's death. Did someone from Destiny Island tell him? Seeing the confusion, Justice continued. "Your mother White, was the sister of my wife. I am your uncle; Lance is your cousin."
Now things started to make sense. Suddenly White understood what Drake had meant by the fact that they had the same blood. "I couldn't leave you on your own. So I took a boy into the troubled world of a keyblader. I trained you to protect yourself, and loved you as if you were my son. Weeks before we ran into the man that.... well you thought killed me... I found a connection between that man and the organization. He had said that the organization had done dealings with the fissures in the past. When the man came to kill me, I had to take the opportunity."
Pausing, Justice looked back at Lance. "The truth is Lance, I did what one was expected of someone of my standing. I did what I did out of the love of my family and my apprentice. The organization had to think that I was dead if I was to infiltrate them. And that meant lying to you to White. They would watch you, make sure I was dead. But I watched you. I watched you in the shadows, White. You just didn't know it.
"There are no words that will make things better for either of you. There are no words that can be said right at this moment that will fix things. But I will do my best to fix things between the three of us after all of this is over."
White was hurt. Justice could have told him the truth. He would have been able to defend himself. He was strong now. He didn't need his master's eyes in the shadow. "You always thought you had to do everything by yourself. Even when I was strong, you refused to let me go with you on missions. You are not the only hero. You need to stop being selfish and listen to us!"
Justice was taken aback by White's shouting words. He had not expected them from White. "That's right. I am selfish. But sometimes you need to be selfish to save the world. You're right. I'm not the only hero. But tell me White, would you have ever become as strong as you are now if you had not made your own way when I died?"
White too was taken aback by Justice's response. He was right. White never would have met Darius, or even had become as strong as he was now if he had known Justice was dead. Most likely he would have died a long time ago. "Lance... you are the one I have most wronged in this situation. I am sorry for what I did to you. What others have done to you and I was not there to protect you. I am sorry." There were tears in Justice's eyes.

Lance wasn't sure whether to get angrier or not when Justice held his silence as he practically tore him up verbally with all the demanding questions he made. All the nasty points he had made about how things turned out because of his leaving. It might've made him less vicious and more wary if Justice just lashed back but Justice just seemed to accept the bombardment. His patience with him was astounding to Lance but he wouldn't admit that. He was far too angry to compliment anyone he was ticked off with. Usually people that ticked him off weren't worthy of compliments either.
It was after the mention of White that Justice had finally looked over at White. It was then that White spoke, claiming that Justice had explained why he left his family but not anything about him. Lance, all the while, was watching Justice like an angry hawk ready to strike. White deserved an explanation as much as he did. Eight years into his search for information on Skull, Justice had discovered the terrible news about White's mother's death. He had known of White's father's death and had taken White in to look after him. That didn't explain how he knew this though and Lance had a nagging feeling that it pertained to what Drake had said to them back in that cave.
No sooner had Lance thought this when Justice told White that White's mother was Lance's mother's sister. Justice was White's uncle and Lance was his cousin! At this realization, Lance looked back at White more fully. How couldn't he have noticed? He had thought that his mother had been an only child. He was never told that he had an aunt on her side. He had also never seen her before so he didn't know of her. Why hadn't he been told of her either? This just added to his anger but not towards Justice for that one. It was more towards the elders for keeping their damn secrets!
"Th-That explains...what Drake said then..." Darius said to himself but loud enough for the others to hear. Lance just looked over at Darius before looking back at White. Well, now he didn't feel so bad in scolding White when he did. He was family so that gave him a right to scold him when he had during that whole nasty incident on Enchanted Domain. Boy, did White remind him of Brayden sometimes too! The two weren't related, Brayden and White, but boy did they act alike at times. No wonder Lance found himself beside himself sometimes with him. That explained a lot! Yet, another realization came to him then. He was related to a pervert! Okay, maybe going as far as saying a pervert was a tad harsh but it had been clear to Lance then that White liked women a little too much. Womanizer more so came to mind. Oh well, sometimes you couldn't help who you were related to.
Lance was a bit more accepting of the fact he was related to White. He had believed White to be an orphan that Justice had come upon but not family. It had felt sort of awkward in that sense because White was technically a stranger brought in by family. He had wanted to believe White was family considering their standards as Wilders when it came to those that were taken in as apprentices in the past. Apprentices were treated like family. Lance didn't mind the idea of treating White like family but it felt awkward because he didn't really know White. Even still, he would have rather he was related to White rather than not be. Still, it was quite a shock. It had rendered Lance speechless for the time being. It even cut his anger down a notch to keep him from snarling again.
Justice continued on saying how he took care of White and trained him to defend himself. Weeks before White saw that incident, he had found out about that man and his connections with the organization. That the organization had dealings with the fissures in the past. It was when the man had come to kill him that Justice took that moment to act and thus, resulting in what White had to go through in the end.
Lance looked back at Justice when he directed his words at him again, he was still angry but not enough to warrant him doing anything at the moment. He had calmed only a little but could very easily become a hurricane if angered anymore by something else. Justice had acted the way someone of his standing had to at the time. He had only done it out of the love for those he cared about. He had to get the organization to think that he was truly dead and in order to do that, he had to look the part by not being where he should be at the time. He had to fake his death to make it convincing enough for their spies watching them to confirm that he was truly dead. While they watched them though, so had Justice. He had watched White and Lance.
Then, Justice went into a thing about how there were no words that could make things better. However, he would do his best to fix things between the three of them. Meaning Lance, White and himself. Honestly, Lance wasn't sure how to react to this either. For twenty years, he didn't know who his father was. Now, here he was, alive and in the flesh. It was awkward to have him suddenly sprung into his life.
Then, out of nowhere, White spoke up and this time, his words sounded angry. Lance and Darius both turned their heads to look at him when he said it. It had surprised them that he would say that when he had seemed more so hurt than angry. He had a point though if that was how things seemed. Justice Wilder did sound like someone that thought he was the only one that needed to do something. What he needed to do was listen to them. Justice, surprised like they were, responded in turn agreeing that he was selfish. However, sometimes someone had to be selfish to save the world. Then, he brought up the point of would White have made it as far as he did now compared to how he would have if Justice had still been with him.
As Darius thought about it, White certainly wouldn't have encountered him or Lance or any of them along the way. Things would've probably been different. He was happy to have made friends with White. Darius didn't think how much his life would have changed being with them all. He appreciated getting to know them all. He just hoped none of them were going to be taken away from him. Darius cherished his friends. No one could ever replace them.
When Justice turned his attention back onto Lance, Lance stood his ground. He wasn't as furious anymore but he was still grumpy with him. Only because of all the things he had brought up. What he did not expect was an actual apology from Justice Wilder over having left and allowing the things he went through to happen. It made him feel awkward seeing the tears in his father's eyes after he had made the apology. No doubt, he was being genuine in saying the things he did. Still, Lance wasn't sure if he was going to accept it or not. He had found the answers he had been seeking. Some answers he hadn't even expected to find out. At least, with that, he could be more at ease now. Since he had been angry, he still had time to assess what had been said and come to terms with them. Once he was cooled down and his mind was able to be clear, only then could he make a better judgement on things.
From what Lance could see through his anger though was that Justice seemed like he was willing to try and make things better. Still, Lance had to wonder if he was a sniveling liar. Still, what had been said didn't sound anything like a lie. With each passing moment, Lance's anger had faded, being replaced with uncertainty and a feeling of awkwardness. He was noticeably wary now that Justice was giving him attention like this with seemingly so much emotion in it. Did he really mean what he said? A part of him wanted to stick to the idea of him tricking them but an even stronger part of him was telling him otherwise. After having let out all his anger, he just couldn't bring himself to despise Justice as much anymore. Still, he was wary of the fact that he could just end up leaving again. Any child would feel that way, including White, after going through what they had both experienced.
"...I...need time to think..." was Lance's only answer in return. When he said it though, he hadn't met his father's gaze and had fleetingly looked to the side. His expression was that of confusion, uncertainty, wariness and over all vulnerability. Still, it didn't mean he hadn't accepted the apology. He was just saying he needed time to think. Lance wasn't sure if he was ready yet to forgive him and thus hadn't given it immediately. The situation was just so overwhelming that when his anger subsided a little, he wasn't sure what to do right now when he had received an apology like that. He wanted to believe him but wasn't sure if he could. He had left people he cared about at least twice. Who was to say he wouldn't go and do it again? Lance was afraid to let him in only to end up hurt again. Thus, why he was treating the situation with caution. At least his tone was no longer harsh and sounded more neutral. That was a good sign at the very least.
Darius could understand Lance's point of view. He needed time to sort his mind. Darius was glad that things had gotten less tense but now he wasn't sure how to feel in all of this. Justice looked like he wanted to try and make amends and was sorry for what happened. Lance, on the other hand didn't appear to be immediately trusting or accepting at the moment and that was understandable. White was hurt as well and Justice had a lot of amends to make with the two, that was for sure. Were any of them willing to accept him back though? Darius hoped that Lance could actually find peace with his father. It seemed that back on Land of Dragons that Lance had really hated the guy and then found out that he was his father which had only seemed to make him hate him all the more. No doubt, they were feelings that had developed because of the fact he had been hurt not knowing the truth and having to live for so long not knowing and then discovering the truth then. Probably feeling hurt also because of the way Justice had left his family, making the kid feel like he had caused all of it being born. He didn't know of the fact that Lance had blamed himself for his father's leaving and his mother's death too. If he had, he would've understood Lance's feelings a little more. White, poor White had to experience him dying in front of him and then finding out it had just been a lie. Darius wasn't sure what kind of pain White must have felt but he was sure it couldn't have felt all that great.
Family, it all boiled down to family it seemed. Family was always the closest thing in your life. Whenever it was taken away from you, it always seemed to cripple you. Darius understood that kind of pain. He had felt it when his parents had died. He had also felt it when he and Ivory had gotten separated. He also felt it especially now knowing that there was a chance he might lose her entirely. Still, he couldn't help but cling to some small hope that he could save her. If not from her path, at least her life. They were family, after all. He wouldn't want any harm to come to her. That was also why he hated Smiles so much and feared him. The guy was so close to Ivory, it was frightening to think what he would do to her. Already, he seemed to have changed his sister. Where she did things voluntarily seemingly, Darius still had to wonder if it really was by her own choice. There were a lot of things he wanted to find out but he couldn't do that until he actually saw her. Still, he didn't want to interrupt the conversation between White, Lance and Justice. Justice knew they couldn't just spend too much time talking like this but Darius knew there was a lot that they had needed to initially bring out. Now that it had, he hoped things would be peaceful amongst them. Everyone needed to be focused and not angry with each other while they were doing whatever plan Justice had in mind.

Justice accepted Lance's answer. He was glad to see that at least some progress was being made. At least his son wasn't going to try and kill him anytime soon. Looking to White he sighed. He had done White an injustice as well. "I am sorry for what I did to you White. I would not have done that to you if there was any other way."
There wasn't much White could say though in response. He was glad that Justice was alive, but he still wasn't too happy with him. But for now he was alright. "What did you call us here for then? What are we going to do about the fissures."
Glad to be getting to the issue at hand, Justice answered. "The fissures have made base in a castle called Castle Oblivion. There are seven of us here and there are three objectives that need to be done when we storm the castle. However only I will know all the objectives. I cannot risk you being captured and revealing any information about another party. There will be three parties, two of two members and one of three."
Pausing, White glanced over at all of them. This seemed like this was it then. The moment they battled against the fissures. This would determine the outcome of everything. Princess Leliana spoke up first, "What are the parties then?"
Justice pointed to Lance and Mr. Thomas with his hands. "You two are the first party." Pointing to White and Princess Leliana, "You two are the second." Finally he indicated Darius and Tears. "You two will be with me in the third party. I want each party to come up to me, over here and I will explain your objective. Please other parties, busy yourself. The less you know, the less you can reveal if you are captured. This is a dangerous mission. I cannot guarantee your safety. You may die. We do not have much time. We strike the fissures as soon as I explain the objective to your party."
White understood what his master.... uncle.... was saying. It was going to be weird think of him as that for a while. White was going to have to get used to the fact that he had an uncle. He wasn't too excited though of being partnered with Princess Leliana. Of all the people he could be partnered with, why did Justice choose her? She didn't look too excited about the prospect either, glaring at him.
"Party 1. Please come over here." Mr. Thomas stepped forward, after sharing a glance with Lance. Lakari found all of this amusing. He really did not plan on doing anything that the silly keyblade master said. He needed to kill Arya. That was the only thing that was on his mind. After that.... well he would be going with the flow. Perhaps he would stay, perhaps he would leave.
Reaching Justice, he led them over to the bar. Speaking in a soft voice, Justice explained their "objective." "I understand that one of your member's was captured. Given that she is closest to you elf, I need you two to rescue her. She is a vital part of our company, and I know I can't trust you to do anything Mr. Thomas until she is rescued. Not that I blame you, but she is important to you. So I need you two to rescue her. I received word that she is in the dungeons in the bottom floor. Once you rescue her, you are to make your way over to the top floor. Meet us in the hallway to the throne room. If you arrive before we do, take on any enemy that comes. If Skull comes after you, do not fight him. Neither of you have the power to stop him just with the two of you. If you run into him, run. Any questions?"
Mr. Thomas didn't have any. If Lance did, Justice would answer them. Otherwise he would go onto the next group.

Where Lance was angry with Justice, he didn't once consider killing the man. Oh, he had been offended by the things he had found out in the past but not enough to warrant him wanting to go as far as killing Justice. Just enough to hate him but after the answers he had been given, many things came to mind and now Lance wasn't really so sure about whether he should stick to his anger or let it go. He needed time to think things through. It was a lot to process, after all and with time maybe he will come to accept Justice. For now though, he had to think on it. At least right now, he would cooperate in whatever plan that Justice had without allowing his anger towards his father get to him.
Lance said nothing more as Justice was finally able to focus on White. He owed White an apology just as much as he had Lance. Now, he was giving White an apology. At least he knew when to apologize for something but words weren't enough to fix things. Only time could do that and effort, if he was going to even put any into it. It wasn't long before White spoke, asking the question that Lance had almost forgot about in his anger. Yes, what were they going to do about the fissures?
Darius and Lance focused on Justice then, waiting for an answer. Justice seemed relieved to be going into the matter of things. The fissures made their home in Castle Oblivion. There were seven people here and there were three objectives that had to be done. There would be two parties of two and one of three. As there was a pause, Lance glanced about at everyone then as well. Darius looked about too. They had all been through a lot together, some not as soon as the rest. Could this potentially be the end of the road? The end of their journey?
As they were wondering that, Leliana went on to ask what the parties would be. Lance and Darius looked up at Justice then as he went on to point people out. Lance and Mr. Thomas would be the first party. Next, White and Leliana would be the second. Finally, Darius, Tears and Justice would make up the third and final party. Justice wanted each to come over to him so that the other parties didn't know what the others knew. It would put the others at less risk of being found out and what they might be planning. They knew that the missions would be dangerous and there was a chance they could die. All of them had accepted that fact upon partaking the journey.
It wasn't long before Justice hailed Lance and Mr. Thomas. Walking over to his father, Lance was able to focus on the matter at hand and put aside his feelings for now. He shared a glance with Mr. Thomas. Justice brought them over to what appeared to be some kind of bar. Once they were there, he spoke in a low tone of voice so that the others wouldn't overhear him. He launched into stating that he understood one of their number had been kidnapped. Arya was a vital part to their party. It would be Mr. Thomas's and Lance's task to rescue her. Once they achieved that, they were to make it to the hallway leading to the throne room and wait or the others to reunite. It would be the top floor after a long trip to the dungeon floor. When he asked them if there were any questions, Lance had to wonder where to find the hallway.
"Do we have anything that could tell us where we're going? A map maybe? Anything? Or should we just wing it?" Lance asked, focused on the task at hand and how to get to where they needed to without ending up horribly lost.

Sadly there was no map. That was what Justice had been looking for when he was there. He had not found it. "No map sorry. Castle oblivion though is divided by floors. There is only one staircase that continuously rises past each floor. Some floors have hallways and other rooms, but the floor you are looking for is on the bottom. I have not been on that floor, so I do not know where your friend is. But the hallway to the throne room is a single straight out hallway. Regardless of what you might run into, do not travel to any of the other floors. Keep to the bottom and the top."
Lakari nodded. It was easy enough to understand. Having no more questions himself, Lakari returned back. If Lance had anymore, Justice would answer them. Once the objective was fully understood Justice called over White and Princess Leliana.
White had not heard what mission he had given Mr. Thomas and Lance, but he hoped that someone had the task of rescuing Arya. After all he still felt like it was partly his fault for letting her get captured. He was also slightly worried about the Princess. They didn't always get along well at the best of times.
Reaching Justice, White nodded that he was ready. "This is very important White. If you two do not accomplish this, we cannot kill Skull. There is an armory on the third floor. In the armory is a cabinet that holds a keyblade. It is a black and red in color. You need to fetch that keyblade and bring it to the top floor. You are not a keyblade wielder, you cannot summon the keyblade or use any of its abilities so do not try to. Wait there at the top floor. Do not enter it. Wait for me to arrive. Once we do we will enter there together. There might be someone guarding the armory. You two have to get that keyblade."
White understood the severity of the situation from the urgency in his master. Princess Leliana understood it as well. "Don't worry sir. We'll fetch it. You can count on us." She said. She was a natural leader, and it showed.
Justice gave her a small smile. "Thank you darling. This knuckle head could be a handful at times but I'm glad he found someone he likes."
White and Princess Leliana were taken aback by Justice's comment. White's mouth opened in surprise and Princess Leliana's had as well. Justice gave a laugh at that. "Were not..." Princess Leliana began.
Justice just shook his head. "Oh I no love when I see it. Go on you two." Stunned, White returned back. That left only Darius and Tears. "Come over you two."

Lance listened intently to what Justice was telling him. Since there wasn't any map, he would pretty much have to be careful with where they went. As long as they made it to the top floor, they would be fine. That is, after they went to the very bottom floor to rescue Arya. Lance gave a nod then in understanding. "Alright, we'll do our best."
With that said and done, Lance went with Lakari. Once they had both walked away, White and Leliana were called over next. When they returned to the group, Lance just gave the others an assuring nod. This would be dangerous but he had faith in them all. They could, as long as they stuck to the plan, manage. Lance just hoped nothing unexpected would take place. The fissures were a nasty foe. If Skull was there, they would have to tread very carefully.
None of them heard what White and Leliana were going to do. Lance, at least, respected what his father had told them. He would not try to hear what they were going to do. He could understand what his father meant. If any of them got captured, everything could get blown out of the water if they knew of the other two parties. All Lance knew was just who were in the parties and nothing more. He was content with that because even if they were captured, they would be kept alive only to a point. Hopefully, the others managing their tasks by then and rescuing the others before it was too late. Lance didn't plan on being captured though. He would make sure that they got out fine. He also wouldn't abandon his friends and family. If any of them get caught, he'd be thinking of ways to get them out.
It wasn't long before Darius and Tears were finally called over. Glancing at Tears, Darius walked over to the keyblade master that was White's master, uncle and Lance's father. He hadn't actually seen the man before until now. Having only met Master Jasper, he was a bit excited to meet another Keyblade Master. He felt that he could trust him. As he and Tears finally reached Justice, Darius peered up at him patiently.
"Yes sir?" he inquired.

Justice nodded at the arrival of Darius and Tears. "Our mission is simple, yet of them all it is the most dangerous. Darius and Tears the three of us will be doing the most fighting. Your sister and her master are about to step into a viper's den. Skull knows they are going to be returning to the castle. He does not know that we are going to be there to help make sure your sister and Smiles do not get captured."
Pausing Justice looked over to Lance and White. He knew they would be alright. They might run into some opposition, but not on the scales that they would be entering. "I am predicting that Skull will have the majority of the fissures there to intercept them. Smiles and your sister are not easy opponents. But there are enough fissures there to take them, and they have the element of surprise. We are going to make sure that does not happen. You two must listen to me. Do not let your emotions rule you.
"Tears you are the only other person with a gun. You need to take out any of the former committee members that might have been turned into fissures. No doubt that Skull will use them. Darius you and I will do our best to help your sister and Smiles. We will protect them while they retreat, and retreat only after they are behind us. I do not think we will get there before they do. We wasted too much time. Are there any questions?"
Tears glanced up at Justice. "What... what if I can't control them.... What if they come back?"
Placing an arm on her shoulder Justice reassured her. "You will be alright. I will be there don't you worry. Darius do you have any questions?"
---------
White could not hear what they were saying, but he was looking over at Princess Leliana. He didn't really like her like that.... Did he?

As Darius looked up at Justice, he listened to what they were going to do. He had caught sight of White's face but wasn't sure why he looked as if he were embarrassed. Oh well, he'd find out later if there was a later. As he listened to Justice, he heard that where their mission was supposedly simple they would be doing the most fighting. They were to ensure that Smiles and Ivory weren't going to get captured. It sounded tough but Darius was willing to do anything. He'd fight to the death if he had to.
As Justice paused, Darius noticed that he had glanced towards White and Lance. Surely, their missions weren't as dangerous as their's but that remained yet to be seen. Darius hoped that they would be alright. He didn't want to think how he'd feel if any of them died during this mission. Focusing on Justice again as he spoke, Darius heard him mention how Skull would have the majority of the fissures there to intercept his sister and her master. Where the two weren't easy opponents in their own right, there were enough fissures to take them and they had the element of surprise. They were to ensure that didn't happen and above all else they were to listen to Justice and not allow their emotions to rule them. At this, Darius gave a nod.
Tears's job was to take out any former committee members with her gun. Ones that were turned into fissures, of course. While she was doing that, Darius and Justice would be helping Ivory and Smiles. They were to protect them while they retreated. They were not to retreat until the two were behind them. Justice then asked if there were any questions but Darius found none. He was willing to do anything and he would follow the keyblade master into this fight.
Darius looked over as Tears asked Justice what to do if the voices came back. Justice reassured her that she would be alright. Honestly, Darius felt sorry for her. Something must bother her a lot to feel that way. He wished he could be reassuring but he wasn't sure what was wrong. When Justice focused on him, Darius shook his head. "I have none, sir."

Everyone's missions had been handed out. Tears returned back to the group, and Justice stepped forward. White wondered if his master had any parting words. White didn't want to leave his friends or even Justice. Not after seeing him again. He was also thinking about Drake now. And that prophecy that he had said. He wondered if Justice new about it. But there wasn't any real time to ask him.
"I am going to open a portal that opens on the staircase to the first floor. Everyone you all have your missions. I would not trust these things to anyone else. If we all survive this, know that we will be heroes. People might not know it, but that is what we will be. We will be righting the chaos that these evil creatures have created for the last hundreds of years. Some of you I have never officially met before today. Some I have known you for a long time. And even some I should have known. I have trust in you and you should have trust in yourself. We are the heroes."
Justice opened up a portal of darkness in front of them. "Enter by party. Party 1, then 2, and then us. Be ready for anything and watch your partner's back. All of your friends here are counting on you. Let's go."
Mr. Thomas glanced over at Lance. Giving him a nod that he was ready, he approached the portal. Justice spoke to them the moment before they entered the portal. "Good luck." Nodding, Mr. Thomas entered.
Next up was White and Princess Leliana. Justice just gave the two of them a nod as they ran through. Finally that left Tears and Darius. "Let us go lady and gentlemen." He told them.

Darius headed back to the main group as well. As he did so, he looked around at them all. He worried for their safety but he couldn't be with them since they were all split into separate groups. He just hoped everyone would be alright once this was through. He couldn't guarantee it and he wasn't even thinking of his own safety. He knew that he would be fighting but that didn't scare him. Darius was accepting where he would end up. He knew that he should probably be nervous but he could only find uneasiness when it came to his friends.
He wanted to speak to them but there wasn't much time for that. In his heart, Darius could only hope that they would be alright. He'd hate to see any of them die here. If they did, his heart would surely break. As Justice spoke, Lance and Darius both focused their attention on him. Justice would be opening a portal onto the first floor for them all. Only they did he trust in accomplishing these missions. If they all survived, they would be heroes. Maybe no one would know their endeavors but they would be heroes in this. They were the heroes. With that, Justice opened up the portal for them. Instructing them, he ordered them to go in by party number. First the first party, then the second and then finally, the third. Now,it was time to go.
Lance exchanged looks with Mr. Thomas. Seeing the elf nod, Lance gave a nod of acknowledgement in return. Mr. Thomas headed over to the portal with Lance following him. As they reached it, Lance heard Justice tell them good luck. Looking over at his father, Lance rose a brow. "You too." With that, he entered the portal after Mr. Thomas.
Next, it was White and Leliana's turn. Darius looked over at them, wanting to say goodbye but the two had run through. 'Be safe, everyone!' he thought. Now, it was just himself, Tears and Justice. Darius pulled out his dragon statuette and engulfed his hand about it. When he did so, his armor appeared about his body and his broadsword in his right hand. He gave a nod at what Justice said. "I'm ready when you are." With that, Darius approached the portal and would enter it once they all got near it.
