The boy's question rang in JeY's ears, snapping him out of an eerie concentration. The energy in this place was a mess... It was impossible to decode, and determining the level of danger in this castle would be impossible. He would simply have to be prepared for the worst, however try hard to not be too surprised if nothing actually goes horribly wrong. JeY wasn't comfortable with this level in uncertainty but he was certain that him and the boy could take on anything. He was growing at an acceptable level, probably more-so.
JeY had to think about Michal's question for a moment, getting the facts straight in his head. He had to struggle to recall that the Plane of Shadowbeings was in fact not his home, just where he ended up. "Well, believe it or not, my actual home was actually quite nice. I grew up without any need to learn how to fight, and there was no threats to face. I was to pursue an education in my field of interest until I was ready to work in the field of my desired profession until the day I died. That's all there was to life." JeY said, reminiscing a bit about the little memories he had left of Earth. Sure, there was war, unpleasant people and occurrences, and so many things wrong with it. But compared to here? A paradise.
"Things radically changed when I was shifted between dimensions multiple times. The first time wasn't so bad, until I had to fight the dark side of my best friend. We won, but at a cost." He continued, unintentionally going on about a life story. He had no idea why he bothered sharing all of this, but... Perhaps he really did feel bad about what happened earlier. He needed to make it up to them for that. This was the only way he knew how; being completely transparent with openness and honesty. "The second time is what transformed me into... this. Hundreds of thousands of years, possibly more, of fighting for my life; to merely survive. Until I escaped." He said. "That's about it."
what he didn't expect was the sudden... decoration change. JeY scanned the room with his eyes closed, seeing through this transition even if slightly and determining that they should be extremely cautious. This magic isn't natural and who knows what it could eventually become after they've tread too deep into this abyss. "Something isn't right here. Be on your guard, you two." He said, stoically as always. He kept his eyes open for now, closing them only to accurately assess anything new that might show up.

Izzy looked at JeY. Something was here? Ha. That arrogant jerk had no clue what could be here, and was here...or what would come. She knew they'd find hell. The symbol for her home? Yeah, like that was going to go well. Her home, how she remembered it; calm, peaceful. Animals chirping and barking and meowing and twittering; cars and ships and trucks zooming. People laughing, smiling, running, hugging. In all, a normal world. Untouched by the ravages of war.
That ended when the Fire Nation - I mean the Heartless attacked. The cars turned to military trucks, the trucks to tanks. Ships above went from commercial and joyriders to military fighters and corvettes.
"What you see past the door isn't what my home is anymore, Michal." Izzy felt tears form. "But at least you can see what it can return to."

JeY's story was really, really weird. Michal tried to imagine JeY as a normal kid, struggling to get homework done. It somehow seemed ridiculous. If not for the fact that he would have gained his powers long after that, or at least it seemed, Michal might have entertained the thought of JeY blasting math homework into oblivion with shadow energy. Anyways, the world.
To Izzy, who had already been here once and had seen similar things happen with memory manipulation, this was to be expected. The door opened on a world just on the brink of war. It was the exact moment in time that heartless had attacked, and Michal had a strange, nostalgic feeling as it did. As different as the world was, the panic and darkness were the same. The darkness was eating at this world. Having already seen an invasion, Michal knew it was only the beginning. The invasion would only grow in force... and did she have someone to help evacuate her friends? It seemed not. There was no JeY arriving, no extra keybladers appearing from the woodwork. The world was even more doomed than pulse had been.
The inhabitants of the world seemed not to notice JeY or Michal, though they seemed able to interact with objects around them. Izzy, on the other hand, was sucked back in time. Everyone would treat her like they would have then. "How did it happen? I triggered it on my world. I get it now. That was stupid. But who opened your world, Izzy?" Michal wondered whether they should get into the fight. Even if this was a memory... could they just stand here and watch everyone die? "JeY... is there anything we can do?"
((Oathkeeper is now in control. I don't know Izzy's world or backstory that well... just make it quick. 2-3 posts in this world each.))

Being out of his element in a room he couldn't get a clear energy read from, JeY being disgruntled was an understatement. His face still shown no explicit expression but he was definitely in a bad mood. It's mostly... the remnants of the little hiccup earlier with a doppelganger. Well, it was no ordinary doppelganger, that's for sure. It knew a lot more than it should have. He also spouted a lot more than Michal and Izzy needed to hear. Regardless, they were now all in this situation together whether they liked it or not.
Although Izzy muttered something, he wasn't really paying attention over trying to figure out how to manipulate this room in his favor. This was nothing like the last time he went to Castle Oblivion. Though, the mention of his name got his attention pretty easily and paid attention to the boy's question. Luckily, the answer was simple. "The rooms play games. We figure out its puzzle we get to move on." He said confidently. Well, he may not be entirely correct but that's what he remembered from his past experience. He also didn't recall the specifics.

"That is the thing, Michal. My world is not opened. My world is fighting." Izzy pointed to the darkening skies, as small ships and obvious transports started clumping together and running, the sounds of high-end ships filling the sky.
"This is the World of Gummis. It is a world that has resisted. You could call it a beacon in the darkness." She gripped Bolverk Amber. "My world hasn't fallen Michal...but it's changed. These homes, this gentle breeze? That darkened sky just causes the very world to reek of death. Every day, hundreds die. Every day, we mourn. For ten years, Avalon, our military, has held the line. But we're faltering. We need help. And thus, two fleets were sent out to find this help. This hope."
Continuing down the road, Izzy drew Bolverk Amber. "But the trick...was that our world didn't know about the Corridors of Darkness until it was nearly too late. We knew of conventional landing. Teleportation was new to us; and was nearly our undoing. And it was the undoing of one million men, women, and children." Watching the sky, she pointed out a huge ship lifting off in the distance. "That's the Takemizakuchi. Flagship of the Ninth Fleet, dubbed "Ember of Hope" a year into the Siege. It was destroyed five days after the christening of the fleet."
Izzy turned to face a home. "We're almost there. The site of the worst slaughter our world has ever seen. The site of the massacre."
Izzy started to run, her wings unfurling. "Whatever puzzle we might face Michal, even though this is a memory, it won't prepare me. So if I seem lost, you have to be my light...you have to keep me from losing it."
Izzy took flight. "Welcome to the Massacre of Pendragon...Capital of the World of Gummis...and, my hometown."

((I'm a bit confused. Perhaps I'm off here, but I thought you have to open a world for heartless to be able to enter it. How are heartless fighting an unopened world?))
As a person ran at- then through- Michal, he just watched the insanity. Watched, that is, until a heartless attacked him on the way to the capitol. A shadow, so no trouble, but he hadn't expected it to hurt him. Apparently enemies were exempt from the 'harmless memory' rule. Oh well- summon keyblade, bisect shadow, dismiss keyblade.
Be her light? What did that even mean? It sounded romantic, but he was rapidly getting confused again. Ugh, the headaches were back. This noise and such was just... sensory overload after the calm white room only a minute ago.
So... what was the puzzle here? Perhaps they had to help defend 'pendragon'? Could they even do that, if that's not how the timeline went?

"Reminds me of... me." JeY said matter-of-factly. A complete society driven to absolute chaos due to the invasion of an outside source. Only, instead of a million against a million, it was a million against one in JeY's case. While the ruler of the Shadowbeings, his rule was utterly rejected after some time and he merely had to fend for himself, successfully ending generations of an entire class of being driven to madness by their own prophecy.
They sought a certain salvation and wagered everything to create the impossible combination, and when they finally found it, they couldn't handle it and essentially committed suicide through JeY's owns handed. "I single-handedly genocided an entire race that threatened my existence every waking moment. I imagine that this isn't much different." He admitted, finally delving a little bit into his dark past upon reaching the site of Izzy's home world 'massacre'. He really didn't have n opinion otherwise.

"It is different. Because ninety percent of the people who died here, couldn't fight back." The girl continued on, past quiet homes and quiet yards. Which made Izzy...uneasy.
As Izzy finally arrived at the edge of the city, Michal and JeY close behind, it was apparent what now was going on. Screams rose from the city, all of temh cut off abruptly and replaced with more. Sporadic gunfire sounded, an explosion or two lighting up the sky. The sounds of aircraft came from afar, and she set down.
The city was on fire.
Izzy glanced back, shaking. Why? Wh - What the hell? Izzy watched her six year old self running down the street, and she took off after herself. "That's me!" She shouted, following the small girl.
She remembered the path. Left of Percival Avenue. Right onto Lamork Street. Past crashed cars, crumbling stores, and then the destroyed tank... "Wait..." She saw herself trip...but something was wrong. No soldiers...no...soldiers? No tank? She looked down the street. The corvette Forever and a Day should have been brought down just down there, having cut a path through some buildings. "I think I have it!" She called to her...friend and...colleague. "The soldiers are missing!" She looked around. "That means..." She looked up. Police variants. "Michal! JeY! We need to get five blocks that way!" She pointed north. "The puzzle is fixing the battle! The military had responded reasonably quickly! But I see no military! That means the comm hub in the Police Station is offline!" She quickly pulled Bolverk Amber free. "I can do it...but I need your help." She grimaced. "Simple puzzle...I hope."
[Hope that's what you were looking for.]

Like an ant in an ocean. Flames and noise washed around him, numbing his mind. Darkness flickered like the flames, as the world struggled to hang onto the only thread that held it from oblivion. And Michal felt lost in it all. The thoughts in his mind blended together, blank and white. Simply asking to be written on. And in that blank space, he saw a face. The thing he had forgotten, maybe. A boy that looked much like him. Younger, maybe. A little different. What was it about that face the looked so familiar? Someone had said that this castle toyed with your memories. Ironically enough, he couldn't remember if it was Izzy, JeY, or maybe even Xand that had told him that. But in this case, he hoped it would toy a little more. Just enough to remember who that boy was... He was so close. "I have it!" Izzy called. Suddenly the face was gone. He was back in the world in a castle, falling apart at the seams. Her voice had, for better or worse, yanked him back to the real world- at least, as real as anything was anymore. Regardless, their mission was simple enough. Hold the police station while Izzy fixed the com link. Which, of course, involved getting to the police station. He started running in the direction indicated, pulling his keyblade from the air. Somehow it seemed that time was of the essence. And the shadows were deepening between them and the station... ((Sorry for taking so freakishly long to respond. I tried to make this a good one to make up for it. )

"...Just fight? Please, I am the military." JeY would reply. Through all the mayhem and apocalypse, this seemed too simple. Well... were the puzzles he faced in the game as simple as a fight sequence and fixing a single broken point that was a discrepancy? He wouldn't remember from how long ago it happened, it was even lucky he remembered the concept of Castle Oblivion in the first place. Experiencing it first hand... just strange really. He couldn't form an opinion from the lack of caring much.
In any case, JeY was instructed to just fight. This would make him happy, for as content as a sociopathic violent robot could be anyway. Just cover. Well, he was no use in terms of drawing aggro just standing walking behind the group, so it was time to fix that. Upon uttering his encouraging words to the other two, he simply vanished and reappeared in the direction Izzy asked, approximately the distance he guessed from her vague description. Now for the fun part - the covering.
"Nighty night my fiendish little friends." He said, raising his arm as if he was going to perform an attack. Nothing happened. "...Damn, just how the hell did Xaavfiear do that!?" JeY said to himself, sounding a bit dramatic but none of it meant anything, not that anyone was around to even listen. Well, time to just do this the old fashion way, since apparently his comrade's power wasn't working for him right now. A pity; as utter control of Heartless with the wave of a hand would be so cool.
Instead, JeY just materialized a giant blob of Chaos energy out of nowhere, definitely visible through its sheer size, a sphere which would just barely fit through field goal posts on a football field. He threw it at a forty-five degree angle to the ground to encompass the inevitable incoming onslaught. That should get whatever's attention drawn to him. He floated back down the ground and awaited anything that survived to come and face him. He would meet their attack with some very large blades, as his goal wasn't to eliminate the Heartless but merely garnish their attention. Plus it was more fun this way.

A bit dazed, Izzy finally pulled herself together. Stretching her fairy wings, she took flight, getting her bearings. The Fire Station was down there...down there was the Maid Cafe she visited...there! "This way!" She called, starting to fly. Then she was forced down by Heartless, so, landing, she decided to get technical. Taking out Bolverk Amber, she spun them...turning them into a massive minigun. "I'll just...yeah."
Pulling the trigger, she began cutting through the Heartless, heading for the station. "Five blocks this way and three blocks left! It's big and blue and has a lot of donut shops nearbye!" She called back, switching to target some incoming flying Heartless. "And why does this seem to easy?" She called back to Michal. "Seriously! Fix the comm?" She grimaced, falling back to let Bolverk cool down. "I just know we're gonna get screwed at the station." She muttered to Michal. "Don't break up with me if we do?" She teased lightly, resuming her barrage.

((Xand used a Phoenix down! The thread was revived!))
Michal twirled his keyblade like a windmill, spreading five arcs of light into the heartless. Each carved a path through the horde, Izzy's bullets thinning it further. Carefully avoiding the end of her gun barrel, he strode forward, a step at a time, watching her back as they made their way down the street.
"Heh. Break up with you over getting screwed? That would certainly be a new one."
A couple blocks in, JeY had vanished completely, and the heartless were getting thicker. Finally Michal drew Consumption. He'd been trying to hold off as a training mechanism of sorts-handicapping himself to grow faster- but it was just getting too overwhelming. The moment he drew the darker keyblade, though, things got much easier. It wasn't that there were particularly powerful enemies- just a lot of them. True to its name, the black blade consumed the heartless when they died, boosting Michal's strength. After a dozen heartless, he was feeling godlike. A single swipe of his blade cleared swaths through the crowd, raising his power further until a dark aura was seeping outward from him.
Soon enough they were at the police station- and lo and behold there was JeY, doing his own godly thing with a pink blob of doom. "Hey, any time you want to teach me how you get around so fast, I'm game!" With most of the heartless gone from the area, the darkness floated off Michal and into the sky. The three of them stood in a strange silence in front of the blue building, chaos around them. Like the eye of a storm.

"Well then." She swung her minigun, and a few seconds later she is holding... "And this is my newest toy."
Gunscythe. Because you never can have a regular sword or mace or anything like that anymore. She swung te scythe right after pulling the trigger, using the recoil to slice the door open. It switched to gun mode, and she blasted down a few Heartless inside. "I studied the Massacre of Pendragon for years after I was accepted into the Avalon Academy. The police station was the last place to fall during the battle, and it was the center of the defense." Izzy frowned. "Alright, upstairs to the right is the comm room. Get the uplink working, then probably fight some really crazy enemy from my past turned heartless, like my third grade Math Teacher or the bitch at the Academy that stole my clothes while I was in the shower."

Once a mass extermination of the mindless evil creatures ensued, sure enough the Heartless found out they have a huge threat to deal with all of a sudden. He wanted to follow the duo toward the station, but with this much attention there was really no need to cause what Izzy predicted was the end of the world, the police station being the last point of collapse. Instead, he'd keep the fight here... for now. The heartless swarmed, and while the current one-at-a-time slashing with his blades worked toward the beginning, the numbers slowly became overwhelming. Well, for this strategy.
Of course, it was only a matter of time before the boy asked about JeY's teleportation. Or rather, how he 'got around so fast'. He would have to call back, "In due time! We're a little busy now, eh?" before turning back to his problem. Well, larger scales of enemies needed larger scales of attack. So, why not fight fire with fire? JeY dissipated the sword in his left hand and threw it in the air and created a widespread devastation of shadow flames across the Heartless, burning up the battlefield. The flames were pretty safe however, once the heartless was defeated the flame would douse right out.
Well, from this point on, JeY was a bit too far from the main objective to be too informed, so naturally he wanted to be filled in on the rest of the plan since surely it was impossible to make the Heartless extinct. 'Alright folks, I have a decent distraction going on around here, but if there's anything you need to me to run off and do, just think the word,' he transmitted to the others. For now, JeY did what he could with his weapons and his energy.

"I'm on it." Michal dashed inside the blue building, and up the stairs. Technology. That was something he could definitely do. Within seconds, his mind took in the devices, and he either guessed or figured out what most of them did. The board, luckily, was intact. In fact, pretty much everything seemed fine. The only problem was several wires unplugged and one that was cut clean through in a section under the board, in the shadows. It only took a moment to find the right ports for the loose wires and plug them in, though the cut wire took longer. Grabbing a roll of tape from a nearby desk, Michal pulled the covering loose, spliced the inside of the wire together, taped it to seal it off, then spliced the outside and wrapped it liberally in tape.
Then he stood up and hit the on switches. Everything blinked to life... but there was still no communication. Something was still wrong. He glanced around, checking the rest of the connections. It was strange, only those few had fallen out, and the wire didn't look naturally damaged, it looked clean, almost like...
Of course. It had been cut. This was sabotage. Who would sabotage the system? It was done quickly, considering the lack of extensive damage, and probably recently. So where was the saboteur now?
Perhaps he'd never left. But how else could he sabotage the system besides in this room?
And the answer came again. The antenna. He must be on the roof. Stepping out of the comm room, he saw what he'd walked right past- a ladder leading to the roof, and the access panel open.
Hopefully Izzy had caught up by now. "Hey. Can you think of anyone who would purposefully sabotage the comm system? Perhaps someone in your world who could have to gain from the darkness winning- maybe someone with an affinity to the darkness? Because I think they're probably right up that ladder."

Izzy had fallen into letting Michal do everything, and as they finished, and as she caught up with him, his revelation made her blink. "Well...yeah. Plenty. We're not a perfect world, despite all the loss here at Pendragon..." She looked at the ladder, her fairy wings fluttering slightly. "...Yeah. This one guy. He lost his entire family, then was admitted to a mental hospital. He broke out and started killing. Avalon's Security Forces caught up with him, but by then he had nearly succeeded in taking down our Corridor Jammers, the only defense against the Heartless sneaking in. I don't know what happened next, only that he disappeared. Maybe it's him?"
She looked up, gripping her pistols. "I poured over the entire thing...if this is my memories, then most likely they are a bit skewed. Probably this guy...I think his name was Malak."

Izzy frowned. "But then all my memories would be jumbled...but he always was odd..." She looked at the ladder, then flew up to the hatch. With a few shots, she flipped and double kicked it open. "Let's go see if mister Malak is up here, breaking stuff. Because I wouldn't be surprised if he had killed his family before the Massacre of Pendragon, and had used the Heartless to cover it up. Seems like a diabolical plan someone would pull." She took a moment, then darted through the hatch, guns raised.
A man stood with a pipe, smashing the comm antennae. He looked wild, with scraggly brown hair and a thin body. He turned around, disheveled clothes and blood on the front. He seemed to emit an aura of darkness. "So Michal. Uh, I think we found the source of this problem. I think."

Hopping out of the hatch, Michal drew his keyblades. "Problem? Nah, he looks friendly." There was just a twinge of sarcasm in his voice. Then louder, "Oi! Stop with the antenna! That was a nice antenna!" A flick of radiance sent an arc of light at the man, aimed to widen the distance between him and the transmitter. Another flew straight toward him.
They could split up, one fixing the antenna and one distracting the guy. But then they'd have to defend it indefinitely. If they could incapacitate him now, they could fix the antenna at their leisure. Well, as much leisure as you can afford during the apocalypse.
"Surround him." Michal muttered before walking to the left of the man, both blades at the ready. Most people didn't take kindly to magic being shot at them. This guy didn't look like he took kindly to a lot of things.

Izzy darted over and around, pelting the guy with bullets. She aimed for kill shots, her twin magnum pistols pelting him. But he soaked up the bullets without a problem, and the arc of light was batted away. He began to glow with dark energy, and he began to change. Izzy cursed. "Heartless? My god I never get a break!" she growled. He began changing, and with a roar fired out the same dark orbs as a Darkside. He began changing into a smaller version of one, and as the orbs impacted, Izzy tried...but was thrown to the roof as an orb smashed into her back. She whimpered, a circle on her back black charred skin, her shirt burned away in that precise spot.
