Random Character Notes (Add anything extra here): Just as a basic understanding of the the strange world Kress comes from. There are 3 major races in his world: Elf-like people, mage-like humans and weird half animal-half human creatures. Since Kress was raised as an Elf, I'm only going to explain their customs.
Basically, all Elfs in his world go to a magical cave and get paired with their magical spirit animals. The animal the Elf child gets usually tells what their traits are. For example, a more brave or adventurous child may get a eagle or lion as a spirit companion. On the contrary, a more cowardly may get a hyaena or turtle. The child knows which magical companion is theirs based on what family crest is on their collar. Even if the child doesn't like their spirit animal, they can't get another one. However, they can choose not to link with their animal, but the animal strengthens its partner. As a downside, spirit animals and Elfs who link feel each others pain and if one of them dies, the effect on the other will be drastic, almost killing the other. The Elf's believe that their animals are chosen by the Gods of their world. Not accepting your spirit animal is considered an insult to the Gods and your family.
Another cool little off of topic fact is that I made Kress about three(?) years ago, maybe longer. Though he was a bit different when I first made him, with him being only thirteen, I thought it'd be fun to kind of re-invent him as a young adult.

Character Name:Kressten Aeraloth. Goes by Kress.

Character Race:Half Human, half Elf

About the Character
Character Personality (Please give an in depth description of your character’s personality, must be at least 5 sentences): Summing up Kress in a few words without knowing him would be an easy task. He is a overly-optimistic nerd. He is a nerd through and through. He loves reading, learning and even trying to invent gadgets in his downtime. Unfortunately, his social skills are quite bad, often leading into awkward conversations or situations. Kress is not confident in the slightest about his physical abilities, but is extremely arrogant in his mental abilities. His ultimate goal in his life is to prove that being a Hero doesn't take strength or even skill, but instead is all in the state of mind. Kress always feels like he doesn’t fit in, no matter who he is with. If he is with other Elfs, he is much taller than any of them and if he is with other humans, he has his weird Elf-ears. Kress is considered a genius and a inventor by many people from his world. In fact, Kress has been known to tinker with just scrap metal and turn it into a working gadget.
He never really had the luxury of making friends on his world and still doesn't exactly understand the concept. That said, he is still a very friendly and courteous young man, he just was never well liked in his village. Kress tries to be outgoing, but will usually come off as a weirdo or freak. He may not be the strongest, but what he lacks in strength he makes up for in courage and agility. There is not many things in any world that world discourage or strike fear in Kress. He can be a bit comedic at times, but it normally at times where he shouldn't be. Around the opposite sex, Kress is a nervous wreck, often relying on his spirit animal to do all the talking for him. Eventually, he will not be as nervous around the female once he has been around them long enough. He also has a few weird fears, one being a deep fear of potatoes. He is terrified of them for some reason. He has a strange lust for how gadgets function and often will take apart technological devices, with or without consent from it's owner. Once someone gets to know Kress, he really isn't so bad of a guy and could be considered a great ally. Only problem being that he comes with his spirit animal.
Although it's a bit odd to others, spirit animals are able to speak, though they normally are only able to when their partners allows them to. Wesley (Wes) is Kress's spirit animal and is a weasel, much to his disliking. Wes is a bit of a jerk and will often blurt out Kress's thoughts since they are linked spiritually and mentally. Even though he seems to dislike Kress a bit, he actually feels quite the opposite. Being a weasel, Wes was expecting to not be bonded to anyone because of his species's nature and traits. Oddly enough, Wes doesn't share any stereotypical traits with weasels (treacherous, sneaky, cowardly, thieving etc.) and is the opposite if many of them. Wes would never steal from, betray or lie to Kress or anyone. He can be a bit cowardly, but would never abandon Kress. Despite his appearance, Wes is actually one of the strongest spirit animal Kress has ever seen, bearing four elemental powers instead of the usual one. Because of this, Wes can get a bit cocky and get the duo in some tough situations. He'd never admit it in front of Kress, but he considers him his best and only friend. Wes can be quite annoying and a bit of a whiner. He often yells at Kress if he fails, telling him what he would of done. Wes doesn't like many people, and will almost always have an insult in his head for them. Fortunately, Kress doesn't allow the insults to leave the weasels head.
As for how Kress feels about Wes, he is a bit indifferent about him. Sometimes, he enjoys Wes's company, but sometimes Wess bugs the hell out of him. Since they are linked mentally, Kress can hear all of the weasels thoughts and will normally respond to them out loud. This causes a lot of confusion to people. Over the years, Kress has become used to Wes and can't really imagine walking around without the weasel on his shoulder or back.
Character Appearance (Please include such things as height, hair color, eye color, body type, clothing, weight, etc. You need to actually write a description. You may include a picture for reference. Must be at least 5 sentences): Although he fits the nerd stereotype personality wise, he doesn't really fit it appearance wise. Kress's hair is a dark dirty blond color and is almost always messy. It reaches just below his chin and the bangs hang a little past his eyes. He tries to parts his bangs to the left, out of his eyes, but they always slightly get into his eyes. He is considered fairly attractive in his home world and was only disliked for his nerdy personality. His eyes are a bright green and have a bit of yellow in them. He has a strong chin and a bit of a button nose. He has a slim-muscular build and weighs about 150 pounds, making him a bit of a light weight for his height. He is about 6'1.5 and is clean shaven. And of course, Kress's large Elf ears complete his appearance.
As for Kress's apparel, he dresses a little odd. On his head, Kress wears a long yellow and black striped knit cap with a black fuzz ball on the end of it. He wears it more towards the back of his head, holding it on with a pair of yellow pilots goggles on top of the hat. The goggles have a black leather strap and he only wears them when he is piloting or crafting something. He wears a open, yellow short-sleeved button up shirt. Under his over shirt, he wears a long-sleeved black thermal with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. On his right wrist, he wears a black leather cuff with his grappling hook hidden within it. On his left hand, he wears a black, leather fingerless glove. Kress wears light brown-beige jeans. The jeans are tucked into his shin-high black combat boots and have many pockets. On his left shoulder, he has a piece of black leather that is a perch for Wes to sit on. The perch is connected to his sword sheath that is on his back. Two pistol holsters make a “X” on his backside and allow the pistols to hang from both sides of his waist. Around his neck is a pendant of his family's crest. The family's crest is of a crescent moon with a hawk flying through it.
Wes is a small, light brown and crème colored weasel. He has a small pack on his back, which contains Kress's tools. Around his neck, Wes wears a pendant identical to Kress's, just scaled to his size. He turns different colors based on what element he is channeling. He is a deep red when channeling fire, a light blue when channeling water, bright yellow when channeling lighting and a pure white when channeling wind.
Battle Statistics
Character Position (Hero/Neutral/Villain): Hero
Character Abilities (Maximum of 15 abilities allowed - please write your abilities in list form, starting with name & then description): Scan- Sliding on his personally made goggles, Kress can see the enemies weakness. However, just because learns the opponents weakness, doesn't necessarily mean he can exploit it. (3 posts cool down)
Elemental Shield- Wes uses his magical abilities to produce a shield around Kress. The shield weakens all elemental attacks on Kress by 30%. (Last 4 posts, 4 posts cool down. Cool down doesn't start until effects wear off.)
Fire Punch- Wes wraps himself around Kress's fist, bursting into flames. The punch is very short ranged and can be dodged, but is very powerful. (4 post cool down.)
Lightning Grapple- Wes clings on to Kress's grappling hook wristband and sends sparks of electricity through it. Kress then aims the Grappling hook at an enemy, causing a good amount of electricity to be jolt through them. Fairly easy to dodge seeing how thin Kress's grappling hook actually is. (3 post cool down.)
Lightning Blade- Wes powers up Kress's sword, having it channel lightning through the sword. (effects last 3 posts, cool down 4 posts. Cool down doesn't start until effects wear off.)
Elemental Switch- Simply allows Kress to choose which Elemental bullets he will be firing. Once he has chosen, he cannot switch until the guns overheat. (Passive)
Wind Dash- Wes Channels the power of wind through Kress, allowing Kress to move at three times his normal speed for a very short while. (Last 2 posts, including the post it was activated on. 5 post cool down.)
Artificial Channeling- Kress turns up the dial on his sword to the max, causing his sword to light up in a blaze. During this very short time, his sword is twice as powerful and emits flames. After it isn't active any more, his sword becomes unusable for a post. (Last 2 posts, including the post it was activated on. 5 post cool down.)
Water Sphere- Wes Channels water elements through Kress's sword. With the Water in his sword, Kress aims it towards his opponent and shoots a rather large sphere of water out of the tip. It moves pretty slow and can only travel about ten feet, but it is powerful. (3 post cool down.)
Wind Slice- After having Wes channel Wind element into his sword, Kress delivers an“X” shaped slice that travels about ten feet from him. Very fast and weak. (2 post cool down.)
Weserang- Channeling wind through his own body, Wes curves his body to resemble a boomerang. Kress then grabs him and tosses him at the opponent. Wes can hit multiple targets, but the attack is not very powerful. Can reach about fifteen feet. (3 post cool down.)
Smoke Bomb- More of a retreat skill. Kress is handed one of his home-made smoke bombs by Wes, throwing it down. The smoke makes it harder for the enemy to see Kress, but not impossible. Kress is able to see through his goggles, but if the opponent has some sort of eye coverage, they should be able to see fine. About a ten foot range. (3 post cool down.)
Medical Assistance-Bot- Using some spare parts from his bag, Kress is able to craft a small healing bot that can tend to small wounds, but cannot help larger wounds much. He can also craft it and send it to tend his allies wounds. He can only craft one until he scavenges for more parts. (Last 2 posts, cool down of 2 posts.)
Scavenge- Kress sends Wes off to scavenge for some parts. While Wes is gone, Kress is unable to use any of his elemental abilities (except for Artificial Channeling.) Wes is gone for a post, but comes back with spare parts to build a Medical Assistance-Bot. (Wes is gone for one post. Cool down 3 posts.)
Elemental Overload- Merging his two pistols together, Kress gets ready for his most powerful skill. Wes channels 25% of each of his elements into the merged gun, causing a huge and powerful energy shot to come out of the gun. Taking so much energy, the bullet can only travel about fifteen feet and has a moderate speed. It can be easily dodged, but if it hits, it packs quite a punch.(Once a thread cool down.)
Character Weapons (Maximum of 5 weapons allowed – members must have 100 posts before their characters may wield a keyblade): “Kress”cent Blade- Kress's primary weapon and a hand me down from his father. The blade is a shiny silver and has a very slight curved end. It's handle is a bright gold and a dial can be seen on it. The dial on the handle that allows heat to channel through the blade. Developed by Kress himself, the heat channeling allows him to use fire-based elemental attacks without Wes. However, using it to much will cause the blade to burst in flames, rendering it useless until the flames die out. About three feet and seven inches long.
Grappling Wristband- Like his other weapons, Kress invented this one as well. It's more of a tool than a weapon, but rarely, he will use it in his attacks. The retractable grappling hook is hidden within Kress's stylish black, leather cuff on his wrist. He owns two of them, but only wears one due to dangers of it
Gear and Gizmo- Kress's dual energy pistols. Eliminating the need to carry around clips, these pistols channel energy from Wes and turn them into elemental bullets. Each element can only be shot a few times before the twin guns overheat. Each element has a separate amount of bullets shot before it over heats. Every time the guns overheat, it takes 3 posts for them to recharge. He also can't use the same element twice in a row, he has to mix it up. Can't be used if Wes isn't with him.
Fire- Strongest element Kress can fire. The energy bullets are hot to the touch and are much larger than his other elemental bullets. Can only fire 8 shots before overheating.
Water- The second weakest. Water energy bullets fire faster, but are much weaker than fire. They can be shot 24 times before cool down.
Lightning- The middle ground and Kress's main element. Lighting shots are not quite as fast as water, but are a a lot stronger. Lightning shots are not very long, but are thicker than most bullets. Shoots 20 before cool down.
Wind- The weakest, but fastest ammunition. Wind bullets don't do much damage to the opponent on their own and normally require a follow up attack to even prove useful. Because of this, they have the highest fire rate and amount of shots they can fire. Can fire 28 shots before overheating.
Character Summons (Optional field – no canon summons allowed – maximum of 2 allowed and maximum of 2 abilities each allowed):
Character Racial Ability (Optional - Your character may have ONE passive ability that seems to have an abnormal affect due to being a particular race. Merfolk can breathe underwater, Lava creatures are immune to fire, that sort of thing): Can communicate with creatures.
Character Strengths (1 required): Elemental damage, many gadgets, smarts, engineering/building skills.
Character Weaknesses (1 required): lacking in physical strength, takes Wes's damage, overly-optimistic and stupidly brave at times.
Character History (Minimum of 10 sentences required.): Growing up in his home world of Vagria wasn't exactly his ideal start in life. Feeling like he was always the odd one out from the second he was born, Kress always longed to feel like he belonged somewhere. Growing up as a half-human half-Elf child in a village of full Elf's was rough on the boy. He was often excluded from all the other kid's games and social activities, leaving him feeling extremely bitter towards his peers. He had thought that turning eleven and gaining his spirit animal would change the others attitude towards him, but he was terribly wrong. Being escorted to the mystical cave by his father, the great knight Dean Aeraloth, he couldn't help but feel anxious about meeting his life-long partner. As the other kids gained their animals, Kress's hopes only raised higher and higher seeing all the great companions the others got. Some got wolves, eagles and even the toughest boy of all got a lion as his companion. Being a bookworm, Kress was expecting some sort of wise old animal, such as an owl. He wouldn't of ever guessed what it would have actually been.
Kress's spirit animal was the last spirit animal to come crawling out of the cave and many were shocked to see his family's crest around it's neck. The tiny weasel came crawling out, staggering a bit. Most of the children there let out a few chuckles, while the adults went to comfort Kress's father about his son's misfortune. Kress surprised the town however, walking over to his spirit animal and extending his hand out to him. The small weasel crawled up the boys arm and up to his shoulder, causing the duo to glow brightly. As the glow faded away, the deed was done and Kress had been bonded with his weasel. His father was greatly disappointed in the animal his son had been paired with, wishing he would've chosen to not bonded with the weasel at all. Kress wasn't exactly happy about his partner either, he just felt that having one would make him fit in more. Arriving home, Kress rushed to show his mother his new companion, asking what he should name it. She recommended that he name it Wesley and call it “Wes,” so their names rhyme. Thinking it was cool as a child, Kress agreed (although he hates the rhyming names thing when he is older.)
Unfortunately, Kress would be an outcast once more. Returning to his school the next day, he saw kid's practicing with their spirit animals. He saw the other animals allowing their masters to do all kinds of things, all of which his weasel could not allow him to do. After watching for a while, he decided to try some for himself with no luck. The failed attempts brought some unwanted attention, resulting in a group of boys approaching him and harassing him. What started as the boys making fun of Kress for not being a full Elf and his crappy spirit animal quickly turned into physical violence. The boys beat Kress up for the first time that day and it became a regular occurrence for the next few years. Turning fifteen, Kress now was taller than all of his peers showing his half human side. In his teenage years, Kress didn't do average things. Instead of going to the movies or hanging out with friends, he would be at home reading comic books or tinkering with inventions. After returning to school, the same group of boys approached him once more ready to continue the harassment. Something must have snapped in Wes as the boys were insulting Kress as he let out a outburst of harsh words towards the group. Kress couldn't believe Wes spoke out loud without his consent, giving him a heated glare. The weasel didn't stop there, he kept yammering on until he told the biggest bully that he and Kress could “kick his ass in their sleep, tubby.”
Kress was furious, his partner was setting him up to get killed by this Goliath. Matters got worse when the foe revealed his animal was a lion, shutting Wes up. Kress didn't want to fight the guy, but backing down from it was not an option. Kress braced himself as the lion and it's master lunged towards him, the lion emitting fire from it's paws. Kress closed his eye for what seemed like an eternity, until he opened them seeing a shocking sight. There appeared to be some sort of magical aura around him, a shield of some sort that repelled the attack. Realizing what he had done, Wes crawled onto Kress's fist, ordering Kress to punch the bully. As Kress winded up his punch, Wes blazed into a flame. Kress hit the foe with his blazing fist, but didn't stop there. He punched the bully about six times, each time Wes changing the element until a group of peers pulled him away from the bully. Getting into massive trouble, Kress expected his father to kill him, but it was the exact opposite. Kress's father gave him his old sword and offered to teach him every thing he could. Tired of being the weakling everyone picked on, Kress agrees with Wes's support. Kress trained under his father for the next six years, still not performing as well as his father had hoped.
Sick of his father always being disappointed with him, Kress had a falling out with him. After a long and heated conversation, Kress told his father he would never be the son that follows his footsteps and that he needed to accept it. Dean refused that reality and told Kress he might as well not have a son. Kress expected his father to be mad at the comment, but not to disown him. After that night, Kress decided there was nothing for left for him in his home town. Building some sort of gummi ship for a little over a month, Kress decided he would leave his world until he could come back as a hero. After a long and teary-eyed goodbye to his mother, Kress went to board his ship. Kress stopped before he boarded, asking Wes if he wanted to join him. Wes didn't like the idea of leaving their world to become stronger, but he couldn't leave Kress alone. He sluggishly crawled up on Kress's shoulder, giving him a slight nod and a quote that Kress appreciated. “I don't wanna go, but we're stuck together. Besides, if I'm not there, who will make you laugh?” Kress and Wes boarded the ship, taking one last look at their home for the last twenty two years.

Character Relationships (family, friends, those important to your character):Wes - Kress's only friend, much to his disliking.
Dean Aeraloth-Kress's father who seems to b displeased with him. It's likely due to the fact that he is a honored knight with a hawk as his spirit animal and Kress is just a geeky guy with a weasel as a spirit animal.
Janet Aeraloth- Kress's mother. She couldn’t have a spirit animal, due to her being human. She can perform elemental magic without a spirit animal, which only full humans can do in his world. She seems to overly care about Kress, which irritates him greatly. All in all, he truly does care about his mother and she is the only person he can say he misses on his travels.
Character Accessories: Family Crest Pendant-Both Kress and Wes wear one. It reminds the duo of their small village home.
Tool Bag- On Wes's back, holds all of Kress's tools and knick-knacks.
Knit Cap- A cap Kress has had since he was a child. His mother hand-made for him. Although it was rather large as a child, he seems to have grown into it. Many people make fun of his cap, including Wes. Would look odd without it.
Pilot Goggles- Kress's first invention ever. Made them when he was seven. He has made various upgrades to them over the years and can even see in the dark or through mist with them. He made the lenses yellow and leather band black to match his hat.
Wristband Grappling hook- A retractable grappling hook Kress invented in his teen years. One of his favorite inventions, it looks stylish and is also functionable.
Perch-Sheath- Made by Kress to sheath his father's sword, it also doubles as a perch for Wes's claws. The perch was added due to one of Kress's shoulders getting an infected scratch from Wes's claws.
