Well, good! Aiko seemed unwaivered from the apparition of the darkness attempting to scare her away. The underlying notion that Aiko wasn't welcome here would vaguely persist to the girl, but would slowly deteriorate from being afraid of that which accompanied her here in the first place - the wielder of Chaos. Although, she would've gotten a warning if JeY thought of it sooner but he was only afraid that it was going to happen just after they got there. He never would've thought that her presence would make the spirits so restless they would be determined to materialize, somehow.
However, having no need to apologize was definitely false in its entirety: JeY would not allow his guest to be heckled in such an obtrusive fashion. "Regardless of your experiences, I will not have my guests treated in such a manner," JeY said, taking a short breath before continuing. "I took us right where we needed to be, as well. As for how to begin... We could begin by having a brief session of a mental link, I could give you the sense of what the... well, I don't really have a good way of putting this, but the 'coordinates' of where I'd need to travel to," he said.
There really wasn't a good way to go about this. All he had to go by was distinct feelings and energy presences and visuals of where he needed to go provided by the absorbed memories of his dead alternate self. The memories had special links to what the alternate self wanted him to prioritize in seeing, though it was very hard to describe how this process worked. He had a feeling of where and how to reach this alternate universe, as everything in existence worked off energy, and certain strains of energy bared specific signatures. JeY's own ability to detect energy was something unnatural due to how sensitive he was to aura and how easily he could pinpoint other energy signatures.
So, the problem here was, focusing the energy necessary to tear a rift open to an entirely different universe and making sure that it was stable enough to pass through safely. Perhaps, in this project, Aiko could be a catalyst within her travelling abilities (despite the lack of control she expressed) while JeY was the main force driving the energy necessary to open the rift. But first, she would have to know where they were going. From this mental linking, the chaotic man hoped to give an idea of the signature necessary to locate and reach the universe, and the friend's signature to centralize the rift nearby his location. Should she agree, he would ask her to close her eyes and he could begin transmitting the memories necessary for Aiko to gather this information.

Aiko looked back at JeY when he stated that regardless of her experiences, he did not want for his guests to be treated like that. A slight smile appeared on her face. "You have a kind heart." Of course, since he wasn't essentially seemingly solid like what she was, it was a figure of speech. A figure of speech meaning that he was a kind individual despite what he thought of himself.
Then came the explanation of how they were going to try to achieve what JeY would like to try to do. Aiko wasn't sure how that was going to work. What did it mean if there was a mental link? Would he be able to figure out what she was then? Maybe if she only allowed a certain part of her brain to be accessible. The rest, she could block off.
"How does this mental link work?" Aiko questioned him curiously. "You're just going to send mental coordinates to me then?" Aiko walked over to where JeY stood. "It might be best if you stay close, the pathways can be irregular."
As she turned toward the area around them, she spoke. "Alright, I'm ready when you are."

[OOC: BGM? Why not!] Once Aiko asked the inevitable question, JeY immediately replied with an answer he primed for such an occasion. "The link is a simple one-way information road. You see what I desire for you to see, and that's it - unless you explicitly desire for me to hear your own thoughts, I cannot hear them." It was weird how that worked, JeY always assumed when he bonded he would just be able to read minds, but the soul is not something you can just 'hack' into without the proper equipment. Bond only allowed him to receive information the client consciously allowed to transmit. As for the actual process, well... JeY would just hope for the best. This was all up for interpretation, as long as she could translate the information this would work nicely. Otherwise, eh, they could probably figure something out. Aiko seemed to want to be a little closer, which he didn't mind, acknowledging her concerns with a nod. "Alright, I'm starting now then," he said, reaching into his back pocket and pulling out an ornate blindfold - a dark green cloth with gold-threaded patterns and a blue gem embedded in the center. He adjusted it over his head and completely blinded his human sense of sight. This would allow his focus to become tighter. Directly, after, Aiko would feel a presence enter her mind, but not an intruding presence, just something that was capable of feeding her information. Should she focus on it, she would feel the space shift around her - she would feel what it was like to be in the exact location they were trying to travel to. From here, Aiko would then be able to compare this to how she felt while existing in the realm they were currently contained in, and if capable this would be the opportune moment to form a bridge. If she interpreted the signals all correctly, she would get a sense of otherworldly direction that pointed her in the direction of the alternate universe, and a notion of what boundaries there were to be crossed in order to get there. Hopefully from here, the two of them would be able to combine their energy to manifest a dimensional tear that lead to his destination. Maybe it wouldn't be right away, perhaps some time to gain a more central focus or to build up a charge of internal energy was necessary, though JeY was patient and was willing to bear whatever burdens or sustain any wait periods that would lead to him reaching his goal. If it worked... he would be forever in her debt.

Aiko listened as JeY explained that the connection would be a one way road. It would be JeY conveying to her through the mental link where to go. He wouldn't b able to hear any of her thoughts unless she explicitly wanted for him to hear any of her thoughts. Alright, that she could deal with. It wasn't as invasive as it sounded. Getting closer, Aiko waited for JeY to start. As he said he would, Aiko patiently waited.
Suddenly, there was the sudden feeling of something in her mind. It wasn't prodding or poking, just merely alerting her to it. As she discovered it, the information suddenly just flowed into her mind. Throughout, she was instructed on how to get there.
Then, it happened. It happened so fast that Aiko didn't realize it was coming. It were as if something reacted to what JeY was conveying. A bright lit pathway suddenly tore open before them all but this one was different. It wasn't just full of light. In fact, it seemed like within the light contorted into several different colors. When Aiko realized it was there, she raised her eyebrows. This had to be it or at least something like it. The worse that could happen was them ending up somewhere else.
"Did it...work?" Aiko said tentatively as she approached the pathway and peered inside.
(OOC: If it helps your post, feel free to move them through it.)

While Aiko walked forward and probably intended to make contact with the portal, JeY couldn't bare what consequences she might face if they messed up somehow. He raised his arm and placed a hand on her shoulder, hopefully stopping her only after a step or two, nowhere near glancing inside yet. Truthfully, JeY was astounded that there was anything at all, but from what he could detect, it was a conduit of substantial energy. Something that would've drained his spiritual being in its entirety to create. He didn't know what exactly was contained in his girl, but it wasn't to be trifled with. He was glad she somehow didn't get any vibes as to his true, unyielding nature that certainly would've scared a creature of her being away.
Granted, it was the first time he acted gentlemanly and polite, but he was going through his own internal crisis. He was rather desperate to achieve his goals, even if it meant asserting himself in a very unfamiliar way. It's not like she deserved any harsh treatment or anything, he was just surprised with how he conducted his behavior while knowing the truth behind who he really was. He should really make it worth this girl's while for helping him, despite him more-or-less deceiving her, and he'd be motivated to compensate her somehow.
Also, it wasn't that he truly deceived her. He has no malicious intent or innate evil residing within him. It's true that a third of his powers are aligned in darkness, but that is only a coincidence for their power. In any and all situations, he just... didn't care for any entity besides himself or whatever he seemed worthwhile to care about; up to a certain extent anyway. He was never nice unless he really needed to be or it benefitted him the most, nor did he have any moral compass to pass judgment over his actions, not really caring if he used others like tissues to get what he wanted. However, this time he felt a bit... different.
"Take my hand, I'll check, but I don't want to lose touch with this realm. I'm quite amazed we have any results this quick, I'll be floored. Oh and... don't worry, I'm solid here," he said, reassuring her that touching him wouldn't result similarly to how it would when they first met. That was all an elaborate ruse anyway, he could be solid at any time, he just wanted to make a clean statement of what he believed he amounted to in a mortal realm. A ghost; an empty shell. He extended his hand for Aiko to take, and then moved toward the portal.
Taking a clear step inside, he remained only partially on the home side of the rift, but he took in a deep sensation of energy, projecting a mental scan. It... actually measured up to the memories he inherited from the copy of himself who was here. They managed to pull through on the first try, generating the energy and split necessary to create a cross-dimensional rift. It was spectacular. And... with the energy literally right in front of him, he could take in its signature and replicate it on his own at any time. Well, for a huge cost of effort of course. JeY stepped right back into their own realm, letting go of Aiko and facing the portal.
"Definitely floored... Stand back, I'm going to absorb this to contain the energy. I don't want to leave right away, there are preparation to consider first." He motioned for Aiko to take a few steps back and clear the immediate area, then held both of his hands forward. the energy of the vortex surged and swirled, losing stability and trying to explode all of its contents all over. JeY miraculously kept the energy from losing control, and then it all slipped into his palms. It was completely contents. JeY turned his palms toward him and looked down, slightly amazed despite his usual stoic expression.
He didn't even know what to say. What he needed all along had been instantly granted to him. He looked back up to face the girl, his expression changing to something a bit more sullen but hard to read due to how neutral it seemed. "I can't thank you enough for what we've accomplished today. I can open this rift at any time now, it's only the first that's the problem. Now..." he said, rolling his shoulders and stretching a bit. He was honestly a bit excited. "What can I possible do to repay you or compensate your for contributions today? Surely there's something a stuffy, half-dead overlord like me could provide for you." He was mostly joking, not considering whether or not Aiko would take the 'overlord' bit too seriously, either way he was eager for her answer.

Aiko nearly jumped out of her mortal shell when JeY had reached out and gently took hold of her shoulder. Although the motion was gentle, it was firm enough to prevent Aiko from taking a step farther and nearer to the portal they had just conjured up. Honestly, Aiko was just as surprised as JeY was for her to suddenly conjure what she did along with him. Where it felt different compared to what she was accustomed to it was sort of a similar process. A similar process to how she traveled from place to place at times.
As Aiko looked over at JeY, he extended his hand out to her. However, last she recalled, he wasn't solid from what she knew of. How was she to take his hand while he investigated the portal? When he said that for now, he would be solid, Aiko reached out and...took his hand. She was surprised that she could hold his hand considering how ethereal he had been before in Traverse Town. As he moved toward the portal, Aiko made sure to keep a good grip on him.
While JeY examined the portal, Aiko wondered if he had felt anything when he had grabbed hold of her shoulder just moments ago. Her smaller set of wings, one of them, had been right underneath his hand at that time. He hadn't injured it but it obviously hadn't been a shoulder bone that he would have felt. It seemed then that he was much too focused on the portal. A portal that Aiko had created for him to use. Now, he could have the chance to speak with his friend on the other side. Granted, it was a different version of his friend but he could potentially make peace with that friend. Aiko hoped that he would be able to make amends with his friend.
It was then that Aiko began to notice fatigue in herself. Where her mortal shell never needed to sleep because of her Seraph soul within it, whenever she expended a lot of energy she would risk collapsing on the spot until she would gain consciousness again. When JeY stepped back inside, she was relieved. For a moment, she thought that they were both going to end up falling into the portal because of her failing strength, which was leaving her very swiftly.
Aiko saw how JeY somehow managed to absorb the portal. At first, she had made to try and stop him but he had already begun. Now, there was no way of stopping JeY. Aiko was forced to watch before, miraculously, JeY had been able to absorb the portal in its entirety. Just how was a being able to do such a thing?
Although JeY's face was usually stoic, Aiko could sense something like excitement coming off of him but not quite like the actual emotion. There was something there. Maybe it was the light of his eyes that appeared to be pleased? As he turned to her, his expression always unreadable, she heard him thank her. Thanks to her, JeY could now open that rift again at any time. Aiko gave him a smile then.
"You're welcome."
Yes, there definitely felt like something akin to excitement. Aiko felt happy for him. Now he would be able to do what he wanted to do. Then, JeY asked Aiko what he could do for her in return. A faint smile appeared on her face then. "I do not help others and expect things in return..." she trailed off. Just now, her voice sounded muffled to her although to JeY, it would sound very clear to him. As she looked back at her stoic...friend? Her vision began to haze over. Oh no! She was going to faint!
Just as that realization had hit her, Aiko collapsed on the spot. She had never actually gone to different dimensions before, let alone parallel dimensions. Normally, she only went from world to world. Due to the different and unfamiliar, yet familiar energy she used, Aiko's mortal shell couldn't handle it at once and thus, she had fainted. She would still be alive but she would be out cold for a while.
(OOC: Feel free to control where ever Aiko ends up. Just so you know, her larger wings would be visible and noticeable if he went to pick her up, and although her other 2 pairs of wings aren't visible, they can still be physically felt. So feel free to let him find out she's an angel type if you'd like.)

As the girl spoke, JeY was already thinking that just because she doesn't not expect or normally receive things in return doesn't mean that he couldn't be an exception. There must be something that he could possibly do that the girl could appreciate, but it seemed like his answer would come sooner rather than later. She seemed to lose consciousness on the spot, falling over, JeY barely rushing to her side in time to catch her. He laid her gently in the soft grass and checked for a pulse and breathing. She was definitely alive, but out cold. Well, this would be an interesting turn of events. "My, my."
Well, she couldn't just lay here like this. JeY thought it would be appropriate to take her to a soft bed, notably the one in his room back in Traverse Town since it was the first one he thought of. He didn't see a need to use any restoration magic, revitalizing her spirit wouldn't really soothe any toll the recent stress had on her body. So, naturally he created a simple portal directly channeled to where they originally departed from and then JeY went to pick Aiko up, but noticed something he overlooked as he stopped her from collapsing to the ground earlier - the texture of her back was definitely not very consistent. It definitely felt like something was hiding beneath her clothing, but he wasn't that concerned with that for the moment.
For now, he went into the portal and laid Aiko across the bed on top of the covers. He theorized a few things; she either had wings, some intense deformity with lots of scars, or some sort of apparatus like life support or something embedded in her. But, it was soft and cushiony, so maybe not. He was partial to the wings idea, but never really took it upon himself to investigate since that wasn't very polite. Instead, he sat in the chair in the corner of the room and closed his eyes to meditate a little. Whenever she would begin to stir, perhaps some reassurance would be in order. It was quite the uninteresting debacle unfortunately, she merely fainted and was carried to a room
"How do you feel?" he would simply say. He wouldn't try to preemptively answer questions, rather she would let her ask the ones she wanted.

Aiko couldn't fight the sudden onslaught of exhaustion that had overcame her. Before long, she passed out cold. Her mortal shell could not handle the amount of energy she had used at once. She had been lucky that it hadn't killed her form. Then again, it couldn't have unless she went into her full on Seraph form, which she didn't. The whole thing could have killed her, with this portal, if she had been a normal human being.
It didn't take long for JeY to notice the oddity of Aiko's back. Even if JeY had been curious and removed the robe-like top that Aiko had, he wouldn't have seen anything inappropriate since she had a tank top underneath. It was a good thing though that he hadn't taken it upon himself to do so. It showed some respect to not have taken a glimpse.
After JeY had settled her down onto the bed, Aiko would take just a few more moments before she would finally wake. As she cracked her eyes open for what seemed like forever, Aiko blinked a few times at the light. Had she been summoned back home? As that thought crossed her mind, Aiko widened her eyes some more to force herself to take in her scenery. No, this wasn't home. Slowly, Aiko pushed herself up into a sitting position. Now that she was awake, only then did she realize someone else was in the room. The voice was familiar. It had asked her how she was feeling.
Aiko turned her head to peer over at the owner of the voice. In her moment of confusion of finding herself in a strange place, she realized that she was in a room with JeY. She remembered who he was the moment she set her eyes on him. "Ah, I must have fainted." The way Aiko said it sounded like this sort of thing happened a lot and she wasn't the least bit concerned.
"It is alright, JeY. I am fine. This sort of thing happens to me every time I spend too much energy at once."
As Aiko had said this she moved some more to rid her limbs of the stiffness that the mortal shell was plagued with every time she fell unconscious from something. Slowly, she turned her form to the side and hung her legs over the edge of the bed. Steadily and slowly, she got to her feet. As she did so, something red fell from under her robe-like top. A single, pure red feather had fallen from her back region. Of course, AIko wasn't aware of this as she tuned toward JeY.
"I am sorry if I had alarmed you.Did you bring me here?" she questioned him.

Aha, the girl was awake once more. JeY opened his eyes though remained in his position as the girl righted herself. She seemed to be okay, and claimed that fainting was something she was used to. That was odd, she seemed to have a good grasp on the control of her energy, how often did she expend too much at once to cause something as vulnerable as fainting? She was fairly lucky to have someone like JeY to take care of her in that state, he could see this innocent, pure entity being taken advantage of if she happened to faint in the wrong place at the wrong time. Though, he wasn't sure if he could help with any of that.
"That sounds a bit concerning, though are you sure you--" He began to say as a glint of light caught his eye - the light in the room reflected from the feather at just the right moment so he caught it falling. He didn't let his speech go completely interrupted, there was simply a mild split-second stutter in what he was saying. "have proper control of your energy and such? Perhaps this event should've been an exception since you were dealing with a stranger's power as well, but if it's a normal thing, well... No matter. I was able to perceive that your life force was in check so I did not believe you were in any danger, so I had no alarming thoughts. I have indeed brought you here." It was a long string of speech, only small pauses at the ends of certain sentences, not nearly long enough to indicate that he was finished talking.
He wondered for a moment however, if that feather meant that he was right about earlier - she must of had wings, and that was obviously what he felt earlier. With the essence of light deep within her, being an entity of purity, and having a guiding authoritative force... she was an angel, no doubt about it. Maybe not a typical one, if she were generic in any way JeY would've been able to identify that in a heartbeat, so perhaps she was a few classes above the standard light-based entity. Fascinating. Perhaps the chaotic man himself should be a bit more honest too, since she was clearly trying to not have this be discovered. Though, once again, she was lucky to be in his company - there wouldn't be anyone less interested in her heritage than he was.
"Though, if I must be honest, I'm not truly a ghost, but it's what I feel best symbolizes my existence. My ability to phase out of time-space is just one of many powers I have, which gives the illusion that I don't exist. It comes in handy." Perhaps with that out of the bag, the girl might be inclined to give a little more to her background. He didn't want to ask quite yet, as that would intrude, but the only reason he wanted to make sure he knew about her was that he could establish that it really didn't make a difference. Perhaps that would put the poor girl more at ease.

Aiko didn't realize what she had said sounded odd. It was normal to her for her mortal shell to collapse every time she did something too strenuous. Since she never opened up her Seraph state, the true Seraph power, there was no reason for alarm. Where it was a mortal shell, there were certain standards that still applied to her soul within it. The body itself couldn't die unless specific things were met. Thankfully, she hadn't encountered them so far so she had little to worry about. Although, she was innocent minded and did not realize that her shell could still be taken advantage of by others.
When JeY had cut himself off for the briefest of moments, she blinked over at him. "Yes, you need not worry. Such a thing will not kill me." He seemed to have already answered this question of his though, coming to a conclusion all his own. She hadn't realized a feather had fallen.
"Thank you for bringing me here. I appreciate your help."
When JeY finally revealed that he wasn't a ghost-like entity, Aiko tilted her head to the side as he explained himself. In that realm they had been, she had garnered that he was something. He could phase in and out to make himself seem like an entity if he wished, apparently. Well, that explained a lot. "Ah, I see. Well, that explains much." Aiko gave a nod of her head. "I do not judge beings for what they are but rather how they act. It is one's actions that defines who they are." She gave another nod at that.
"You need not worry yourself if you think your being different will bother me. I'm not what others would call normal either. What I had done normally would send others into a coma or close to it and have them sleep for weeks rather than hours. How long have I been out for anyway?" Aiko looked over at JeY curiously. Had she only been out for a few hours? Or had it been longer?
"In any case, certain things have to be met before I will worry about death." She certainly wasn't the generic form of angel. She lacked the energetic attitude the typical, normal ones tended to have. Her type was much more serene and calm. Although, her powers had to be limited. Her mortal shell could die if her true form was allowed to shine through since it had so much power to it that it would simply burn off the shell she currently wore.

Being so cheery about everything made him a little disheartened. His own soul was battered and bruised from recent events, questioning his existence and purpose and the value of other human beings that may or may not be associated with him. He wasn't used to caring about anything but this dilemma was about exactly that. The last thing he thought he'd every weigh his options and make a choice not solely on personal gain. It was nice that this girl helped him make an incredible step toward the leap of faith that was recovering a humanity, but he actually had no idea what was in store for him when he would eventually make it there.
For now, he would just have to thank her for her time and maybe get her out of here before her attitude of 'I don't judge things!' made his vile soul start to bleed. Maybe he would shake things up, but he still felt too weakened and somber to really do anything to make things 'interesting'. Perhaps acting up just for the sake of a reaction wasn't a wise idea for someone he owed extensive gratitude for. She was a bit too preoccupied with her ability to persist as well, didn't help his opinion. He wouldn't voice his concerns, at least directly, this time. Maybe he could just speed the process up a bit.
"Twevle years, four months, two weeks, three days, seven hours." Obviously a joke, but he sounded completely serious with his monotone voice and even looked so with his neutral, flat facial expression. He let the air hang for a few seconds to maybe let it sing in for Aiko, but he wouldn't be that mean as to drive the joke longer than a moment. "Only kidding. Just a couple hours. Gave me some time to meditate." And now he had to pause again to let the relief sink into the girl, replacing any sudden emotional trauma (no matter how minute or temporary it may have been) that could have taken place.
"In any case, I thought Angels were in a strange juxtaposition of death. Despite having no genitals to reproduce, they serve to keep life persistent and to save it from perishing. Am I wrong?" He would've smiled if he was capable of expressing emotion. Of course, he wasn't even done yet. "Of course it's entirely possible for you to die but not by age or poor health practices. Your very core has to be drained in its entirety. Correct me if I'm wrong." It was funny that she mentioned about being so persistent to death, and here was JeY telling her exactly why that was the case.

Aiko looked over at JeY questioningly when he had informed her that she had been out of it for twelve years. If that were the case, her body would have been very exhausted and sore right now. She might've even been released by those that were watching her progress with her job. She gave JeY a skeptical look. Even if that were true, time didn't matter to her at all. Her mortal shell she used didn't age.
"A couple hours makes more sense. Although if that really were to happen, I would have been..." Aiko trailed off and just shook her head. She was just relieved that much time didn't actually pass. Her reaction though wasn't what others would expect of her. She had been skeptical and hadn't looked horrified. She did let out a slight chuckle though when JeY had said he had been only joking and it had given him time to meditate.
Then, the subject turned to Angels. Aiko looked more closely at JeY as he spoke. He had to have known about some other angelic being. Aiko was a different story. "Ah, so you have figured out I am an Angel." When he finished, she just simply giggled in response as if what he said were amusing. He had to have encountered someone who was angelic being whom had to have had different circumstances than Aiko.
"I mean you no offense when I say this but I am a different angelic being altogether compared to the common ones you may have come across. Since you know I am an Angel, I will let you know what I really am. I am a Seraph, far above any other angelic type and not some fallen or half breed but a true Seraph in the sense that my wings' feathers are red and not black, gray or white." Aiko removed her robe-like top and outstretched her large wings. The only pair visible were the dominant wings ande they were, indeed, a fiery red in color.
"Draining my core cannot kill me either. Rather, it would bring out my true form and by doing so, would cause the person or thing trying to bring out my true form to burst into flames or death by some other means since absorbing a Seraph's power is deadly. I have a limiter that prevents this mortal shell from bursting into flames and perishing which allows me to be visible to living eyes. However, if I need to, I can bring out my true form but by doing so, it would perish the mortal shell you see me in now and I will have to wait a while before I can take on another which would be decades."
"As for what you are saying, those are Angels born as Angels. Those of us, like me, who have died who were originally born as mortals are what you would call spirits and are therefore, dead. Those, like myself, do not fall under what you would call a strange juxtaposition of death. We do preserve life, to keep certain ones from perishing." She walked back over to the bed and seated herself upon it.
"As for functionality, in which you described it depends on the mortal shell the angelic being acquired. Whether they are a fallen, a true born angel, or one that is meant to come to this plane with tasks appointed to them the mortal shell varies. Mine that was given to me functions like any mortal's so I could reproduce although I choose not to. My missions appointed to me require me to appear as normal as possible. Unfortunately, even though my mortal shell is the best that it can be, it cannot hide entirely what I am hence why you are able to see my dominant wings. My other two pairs are hidden thanks to my limiter."
Aiko tilted her head a little then. It felt good to have her wings outstretched again so she didn't mind keeping them out. An expression of mild curiosity was on her face. "Is there anything else you'd like to know? If it's about my missions, that I cannot tell you since even I do not know for sure. Mostly, I am suppose to take care of those that need guidance or protection. That is the majority of my missions...as for what else, well, it varies so much that I cannpt say as I have already explained."

While initially JeY was just poking some fun at her, Aiko seemed to go off the charts with how serious she took his nonchalant declaration. She went into a huge speech about who and what she was exactly, as if JeY was asking. Well, it was too late to stop her now, so he had no choice than to listen politely. He thought he could multi-task, so while she was still talking he closed his eyes and did his normal thing with projection and sensing, and to indicate that he wasn't tuning her out, stated "I'm listening" to signify that his eyes closing didn't mean he wasn't interested.
So, the girl was a Seraph in a limiter shell? Not completely unheard of, but something of her category was quite fascinating indeed. This girl suddenly became far more interesting to the chaotic man, but the fact that he didn't care too much remained consistent. He'd never actually met someone like Aiko before, so it was a unique experience for sure, and he was awfully curious as to how her true form worked and what it was possibly capable of. Unfortunately this also compelled him to share a bit of background about himself too.
"I'm afraid I have no curiosities at this time. I must inform you that I was making things interesting by bringing up the subject, I had no idea you'd be so wild as to explain that much of a tangent." It was at this point the man opened his eyes again and looked directly at Aiko. "My own origin is human as well, and then I became part-Shadowbeing, a certain breed of Shades. What I am currently is a sentient life-force of an element. You could say that I physically am that element itself, and that I also inhabit a limiter of sorts. That element is Chaos." His explanation was much shorter and comprised of much less information, but there was also quite a lot of exposition purposefully left out.
Immediately after finishing his sentence however, he realized that the being of pure and saturated light might not take kindly to that word, especially after indicating that wasn't just a representation, that he physically was Chaos. Although, Aiko did mention that it mattered not of a person's being, or past, or anything, but rather their actions that defined who they were. JeY was inclined to mention that Aiko had no reason to be alarmed for the factor he just mentioned, but he would simply let her react for herself. Rather, he would contribute more in a different way. "The oddly specific stuff aside, that would make us much alike," he said.

Aiko had felt it necessary to explain what she was. It wasn't easy to distinguish a Seraph from other angelic beings. Honestly, if he didn't want to hear any more of it, he could have just stopped her in the middle. Since he hadn't, Aiko had continued and carried on with the one sided conversation. She had taken note that he had shut his eyes in the midst of it but had urged her on by stating that he was listening.
Once she was finished, asking him if there was anything else that he would like to know, JeY had stated that he hadn't anymore curiosities. He had only been trying to make things interesting by bringing up the subject. She couldn't help but give a light head tilt in response to him referring to her as wild. There was nothing wild about Aiko.
Finally, JeY had opened his eyes and looked directly back at her. According to him, he had a human origin as well. Then, he became part shadow being and from there, a Shade. His element was Chaos and he too had a limiter of sorts. Judging by the sound of it, they were more alike than thought. "Indeed, it does." She hadn't commented about him being of the element, Chaos. Currently, it wasn't like he was trying to do anything evil. Just because he had a chaotic element didn't mean that he was an evil being. His actions even proved that he normally wasn't of ill intent.
"I honestly have never heard Chaos being an actual element as opposed to that of fire, wind, water and earth. Times have changed since I have been in the living plane."

How fascinating, the Seraph believed that the only definitive elements were the four most natural ones. While she had a point, there were also two other key forces she forgot about - whether or not they're actual elements could be left up to debate but the fact of the matter is, Light and Darkness both exist, and if one does not neither of them do. However, where one persists, the other cannot. It was interesting to think how something that depending on something else to exist but couldn't occupy the same space. However, that's just what Chaos was: that contradiction. JeY was a living, breathing contradiction
"It's difficult to explain, assuredly. As you know, there is Light and Darkness which are loosely elements themselves, and in the space that one occupies, the other cannot, as it is simply impossible. However, the force that created me simply rewrote their physics to make just one peculiar exception for an instance, which is me, and the fact that I bear Chaos. This is the perfect combination of Light and Darkness, something that should be impossible, but is not." His explanation was wordy and long-winded, his tone was still dull and monotonous and his word choice was interesting in its own right. Hopefully the girl could follow his widely peculiar explanation.
"I realize that something like this might be hard to grasp however, so if you have any questions, do not hesitate yourself." Now it was just funny how this whole conversation turned around. There was particular detail that remained outstanding from his explanation that bugged him, so perhaps he would address it quick before the girl spoke up (if she desired). "Also, I'd argue that times haven't really changed, no one really knows of my existence unless they've met me, the only thing that has changed is the space I occupy and persist within. I'd say your statement of elements is perfectly valid." And it was, after all, anything can be broken down into one of those four categories besides the aforementioned energies he discussed.
Out of everything the man hope to accomplished, he was most curious as to how well Aiko would be able to retain everything without any additional information, or what kinds of questions she would ask. He's never really had a deep conversation about his existence primarily, or really discussed the essence of his being, so something like this was a bit refreshing. Although it distracted him from his aligned task of visiting the other universe, there were still other preparations he had to make in order to fully realize that goal. Time wasn't an issue, so being sidetracked for something very relevant to his existence in general seemed appropriate. Depending on how things went, this conversation might not last too much longer, but the fact that he got this far in the first place seemed monumental.

Aiko listened to what JeY had to say. His explanation about Light and Dark did sound rather valid. She hadn't been around for a long time so those could be considered as an element now. "It is true that Light cannot exist without the Darkness and versa..." she trailed off as JeY explained that he was the perfect balance. A being created by some means who had both Light and Darkness in him which is why Chaos existed.
"There have always been beings of both Light and Dark. It is called Twilight, this combined element if you call it that. You are just likely the first that has more control of it. A more advanced version it sounds like. Still, if you had been around at the time I had been, and suddenly found yourself walking in the plane of the living, times would have dramatically have changed since then to now. I still have a hard time figuring out what cars are and the like."
Aiko got up and stretched her wings. "Ahh, it feels so darn good to stretch these! They're always folded close to my body to make me seem more normal and always getting stiff."
Aiko then turned back toward JeY. One thing about him that she was truly curious about was the fact as to why he couldn't express any emotion. Was it because that he was the Chaos element? "I mean you no offense when I ask you this...but why are you unable to express emotion? Is it really because of the Chaos element within you?" Aiko asked him curiously.

Although JeY expected Aiko to not make a complete understanding of the power JeY tried to explain, he didn't expect her to compare him to something so low crude. The element he was comprised of and the power he controlled was far more than just 'light and darkness'. It was its perfect combination; it was not two things, it was simply one. The easiest way to describe it though was to describe its roots, but Chaos was neither light nor darkness in of itself. He wondered how he could possibly say that without just repeating himself. Maybe that's just what he had to do anyway.
"Well, Aiko, what you're mistaking my energy for is the mere presence of both light and dark in one being. That is not what Chaos is. While it is the perfect combination of both, Chaos is something completely different. It does not have light or darkness within, and blows the laughable concept of 'twilight' beyond proportions. What I am an embodiment of has not existed because it was impossible for it to exist; until what made me re-wrote the physical law." He paused, since that was all there was to say on that particular subject, though the seraph added a little extra detail he would address aside. "And, like I said, it was a sudden change so it's not like you could've learned if you went through time naturally."
There was still more that Aiko wanted to know however, interestingly enough it was about his inability to express any emotion. Which is funny, since he would've chuckled at that bit if that were not the case. It was a simple explanation, but perhaps it was dark as well. "I cannot express emotion because I was drained of humanity during my life ruling the Shadowbeings. After an excess of hundreds of thousands of years, perhaps even more, of being betrayed and hunted by the very race I was meant to command and spending that duration in a conflict of survival for oneself and of the race at the same time, I had no functioning personality anymore. No morality, no sense of worth, just instincts on what immediately benefits myself."
JeY would let the girl sit on that for a while. He wondered if she would draw a connection between recent events and that explanation, or a lack thereof.

JeY felt the need to repeat himself but explained what he was in a different way. Unfortunately, Aiko wasn't going to understand him. The only thing she knew was that JeY was a creation of sorts. Regardless, even if he was something created that didn't make her think ill of him. Everything was created by some means. Where the Great Deity she served may not approve of what the individuals did to create JeY, it wouldn't take it out on JeY. By extension, neither would Aiko. JeY couldn't help the way that he was created.
"Ah, but you are new to me, therefore you are a new change to learn about. So, for me, things have changed. I haven't been here for a thousand years or more. It's almost daunting at times to see how much things have changed."
Then, Aiko had asked JeY why he couldn't express emotion. She probably should not have asked JeY that question. As she listened to him, Aiko felt bad for having asked. Apparently, he had lost his emotions because he was drained of humanity. He had been hunted and betrayed. He had been in a constant struggle to survive, including that race. His harsh times had caused him to no longer have a functioning personality. He lost the sense of morality, his sense of worth and relied on instincts.
"...I'm sorry. I did not intend to remind you of what hardships you had faced." She looked over at him then as she was careful to not hit her wings on anything when she turned to face him more fully. JeY had likely used her to aid him to obtain that portal. Yet, what she had seen back there seemed more like someone that was delighted to finally be able to achieve something that they couldn't do before that had been bothering them for some time.
"Are you expecting me to accuse you of using me?" Aiko questioned him then, quirking n eyebrow as she placed her hands on her hips. "If that is the case then no. You see, I believe I was meant to come here to aid someone. It looks like I found that person..." The big question now was how was she going to help JeY even further? If he really was a charge for her to spend time with, what could she do to help him regain humanity? Or, at the very least, help him gain a sense or morality or maybe to be able to feel emotions again? Aiko let that sink as she watched JeY intently.
"When do you think you will be able to open that portal?" Aiko asked him.

Either his explanation managed to get through to her, or she merely dismissed it through admitting the differences of the universe that occur from being away for a substantial length of time. It was whatever, he didn't have anything to gain or lose from Aiko understanding him, though so long as she had no more questions, JeY was perfectly content to drop the subject entirely. It was always entertaining to attempt to explain his origins or the mechanics behind his current existence, but it always came with challenges. Aiko seemed far more understanding than most, however, which was impressive.
Regarding the simple matter of his emotions, JeY would tempted to laugh if he could. She seemed worries that bringing up the past would affect him at all, to which he couldn't care less. "While I cannot express happiness or excitement, it does work both ways in that I also cannot be saddened or mellowed by my reminiscing, so please, do not think you have burdened me in the slightest. I really just don't care. The only 'emotion' that truly applies to me is being content." It was all pretty honest. Maybe he didn't need to go that far, but he wanted the seraph to feel no discomfort whatsoever for such a trivial matter. Hopefully that along would fully resolve the issue.
What Aiko dove into next though definitely surprised the chaotic man. He had not been insinuating anything of the sort really, he was merely expressing how he operated. It was a very personal level, but not necessarily a selfish one. Benefiting himself could mean the satisfaction of having the respect of an entire village he just saved from a Heartless attack, but the twist is that he did not do it for the village or its people. It seemed dark to mention that he couldn't care less about either of their fates, but the pros and cons of saving versus leaving the village just happened to weigh a certain way. He certainly wasn't using the seraph though, not by a long shot. There was a very distinct and clear reason why, too.
"I had no such expectation. You offered your services at will, there was no manipulative practices expressed by either party. Thank you, by the way." Maybe he already said it, perhaps it was late, but she was passed out for the longest time. Okay, maybe not the longest. But you know. It seemed the topic wasn't worth dwelling on either, since she moved on right away to the more important issue; why she was even here. "Oh. I have preparations to make first. I have to make sure I'm not being tailed, have a game plan of how I want to accomplish my goal of seeking forgiveness, and I have to ask if a certain young lady would like to accompany me. Er, not you, unfortunately. You are free to go at any time. I am also not on any specific schedule, so if there's more you'd like to discuss, I'd be happy to oblige." The end of that statement sounded rather ironic when it came from a voice that was dulled to pure monotone.

Aiko was relieved when JeY claimed that he wasn't bothered by remembering everything. The only real emotion he could feel was being content. "Then being content is a good thing." She gave an incline of her head then. He was a wonder, this JeY. At least she had helped him, if there was any way to make this usually emotionless being anything close to happy.
When JeY revealed that he hadn't expected to use her nor had tried to, Aiko didn't think he did. He confirmed it by saying that he didn't. "You needn't thank me. I help those that need it."
After she had asked him when he was going to open that portal, JeY mentioned that he had preparations to make. At this, Aiko gave a nod of understanding. He needed a game plan on how he wanted to accomplish the goal of seeking forgiveness. He was going to ask a certain young lady to accompany him. She didn't think he was referring to her anyway when he told her that it wasn't her. She was, apparently, free to go at any time. JeY was also not on any specific schedule and could discuss anything further if she wished.
"Well, it was a pleasure meeting you then. I am glad I ran into someone like you and not someone that would have taken advantage of me when I had fallen unconscious. You are an interesting friend that I have made. I am grateful for that."
