It's quite impossible to stay a professional if a person's skills are never actually practiced. As trigger-happy (well, only on some days for this erratic spontaneous train-wreck of a psychopath) as the girl was, Cherika she didn't get as many opportunities to use her pistol in the actual situations as she'd like, so in order to keep her marksman skills sharp, she'd have to practice on targets. As boring as they were, they were absolutely necessary.
Unfortunately, Cheri-chan has no mind at all to care that guns are often loud and that firing in close proximity of the neighborhood was probably a bad idea, but with the amount that paid attention there would still be target practice. Guns being fired wasn't a typical thing in the beautiful clockwork-like town, so it might draw the attention of bystanders rather easily, if anyone wanted to be so bold as to investigate random gunshots (since that seemed rather insane really).
For her first volley, there was a small rail along the ground with two mounted human-shaped targets side by side, flat against the ground. Cherika slipped some hearing protection from around her neck to over her ears and then stomped on a switch near her, causing a buzzing sound and the target on the left popping up. With the smallest delay possible between the target being fully upright and Cherika pulling the trigger, she fired rapidly while emptying half of the clip into the top of the head, making a quick shift with her arms and firing the rest into the heart area.
Between the time that the last bullet left the barrel of her gun and making impact onto the target, the next target popped up to the right causing the girl to shift once more. With movements almost more quick than comprehendible she pressed a button to release the empty clip, her other hand already hurling the next clip up into the handle with a quick reflexive pull of the back of the barrel to chamber the next round, firing half the clip into the heart area of the next target and the other half into the brain area.
Cherika released the newly emptied clip, letting it fall to the ground -- of course, the first clip she dropped was magically back in her holster again while conveniently fully loaded, to which she snagged it, slipping it into the pistol and cocking the first bullet, to which she set the gun on the table behind her after. The second clip, similarly to the first, warped to her holster being fully loaded once again. Next to where she set her pistol was a pair of binoculars she grabbed to take a peek at her targets.
What she would see is large holes exactly where she aimed, almost as if each bullet slipped right through wherever the first bullet hit on each mark. The brain on the left target however looked like it had a notch to the side, presumably a bullet didn't mark exactly where the others had gone. Cherika muttered to herself. "Cheh. This is what happens when I'm lazy for a day. Shooting's going down the tubes." Apparently, anything less than perfection was not good enough for the girl. She put the binoculars down and walked over to the target boards to put up new sheets, not really expecting any company.

"Hey, come on now, can't we talk about this?" Without muttering a single word, the enraged gummi ship pilot threw a strong right hook at the teen before tossing him out of the vehicle. To think, The ride that started off ever so smoothly would be ending in this way. Apparently, Nero had crossed some sort of border when he picked up a photo of the pilots wife and asked the unfortunate question of "who's this guy?" Still, the teen couldn't really help but feel that this was an overreaction on the pilots side of things. Still on his back from being kicked out of the ship, Nero would just watch as the man threw out all his luggage one by one. Starting off with his bag, then his side-pouch and followed by his rifle, it seemed the barrage of his belonging was finally over. Well, almost over to be exact. "Hey, Copernicus, aren't you forgetting something?" It seemed the pilot would finally be breaking his silent streak, shouting out at the boy before he'd give him his final piece of luggage. "Take your damn mutt with you!" Although the man seemed to throw Koji just as hard as he threw Nero, the dog seemed to have more luck landing. Landing with only a bit of a skid, Koji would turn around to growl at their ex-pilot once more before he took off, leaving the two stranded in this world.
After all the ruckus, Nero stood back up on his own two feet, clipping his side-pouch on to his belt and dusting himself off. Raising an eye brow at his aggravated canine, he simply shrugged at the dog. "What, you mad about the whole being called a mutt thingy? Dude, you technically are a mutt. Just putting that out there." Nero would wipe the blood from his mouth and slide his one-strapped bag before continuing. "Relax Koji, I'll find us a way off of this world, I always do. We'll just head into town and find a reasonable gummi ship pilot to take us to Agrabah. Easy peasy." Picking up his rifle and clipping it to his dog's back, Nero began to lead the way towards the residential area. Well, at least he thought.
Nero had been to the Radiant Garden once before, which was more than he could say for most worlds he visited, but it wasn't exactly a pleasant stay. Unless fighting a giant winged heartless counted as pleasant to the locals of this world, it was safe to say Nero's last visit here wasn't a positive one. Though, that didn't seem to be much of problem this time around, as the world as a whole seemed relatively quiet this time around.... With one odd exception. As soon as the duo got near the residential area, the sound of bullets being unloaded could be heard, a sound the pair were far too familiar with. Of course, Nero's first reaction was to simply shrug off the rounds being fired, but then he heard a sound he dreaded more than the sound of bullets. Looking over at Koji to confirm the sound was coming from him (as if there was ever any doubt,) Nero winced after hearing the dog's whine. It wasn't really a wince out of pain from the high-pitched noise, no, he only winced because he knew what Koji wanted.
"Look Koj, I've already been punched in the face today, I really don't wanna add getting shot to that list. Besides, we gotta get to Agrabah fast, that treasure won't be in the not-looted status for long." Despite being so close, Koji and Nero were completely at odds in most situations that had anything to do with morality. Unfortunately for Nero, his mutt usually got his way in these situations and this time was no exception. His argument not saying Koji in the slightest, he'd simply shake his head and grab his rifle off of the dogs back. "Alright, fine. We'll check it out you saint. Just remember, when we're low on cash and have to share my arm as a meal, it's on you buddy. No no, better yet, just wait five minutes and I'll probably be Swiss cheese, then you can just eat that." Giving his dog one last scowl, Nero signaled for Koji to watch the back before begging to walk towards the gunshots.
At this point, Nero wasn't sure what he was hoping to find at the origin of the noise, as he was certain he'd be unhappy no matter what the outcome. Though as fate would have it, any of the guesses Nero had about the gunshots would be proven false. Taking cover behind a rusty pipe, Nero would study the culprit a bit, getting a view of the girl from behind. Although it was something a bit... Unusual, it wasn't anything sinister, at least from what he could tell. Simple target practice... There had to be something more, didn't there? No one in their right mind would set up a target practice display this close to town would they? Though, Nero had seen crazier cases than this, this certain girl had peaked his interest as soon as she commented on her marksman ship. From what Nero saw, the auburned hair girl had good enough aim, but apparently not for her tastes. The teen would simply smirk before vaulting over his cover, walking towards the stranger.
"You know, I wouldn't really be worried about where I was hitting the targets if I were you, Short-stack." The boy said, obviously making fun of of the girl's short stature. "No, I'd be more worried about the fact that I'm firing actual bullets about a block away from Granny Smith. Really chick, what the hell are you doing shooting that thing near residents?"
Despite looking as if he was causally talking to the girl with his gun pointed towards the ground, Nero was no idiot. He may have been joking with (and insulting)the small girl, but he never let his guard down around strangers. Hopefully, the girl wouldn't want to try anything stupid, but Nero was used to his bad luck by this point in his life and wasn't ruling it out. Having his dog standing beside him did make him hope the girl wouldn't want to harm the animal, as that was normally the case with strangers he met, but nothing about this girl screamed 'normal.'

Sliding some poster paper of a human-shaped target over the first board on the left, she couldn't help but jerk her head to give attention to the newcomer. Right off the bat, he was calling her short and lecturing her? Who the hell did this guy think he was, anyway? Lucky for him, Cheri-chan was having a pretty good day, and as much as she would've loved to have grabbed her gun and put one right between his eyes, she wasn't in a... killing mood really. Oh, she sure was angry, but what fate was worse than death? Well, that was simple: being the subject of an experiment.
However, she was just going to be mad at this weird-looking guy unless she could give herself a little pick-me-up. Well, that would be a great first step of this improvisational experiment! How will he react to what Cheri-chan refers to as revitalizing her spirits? Well, let's find out! She wouldn't immediately reply to the boy's interruption, in fact she would simply swallow her frustration, turn around to apply the last staple in the top right corner, slung the staple gun around her finger and tossed it to the wall close to the target's backdrop, where it landed eloquently on a nail that conveniently stuck out for just an occasion. Still ignoring the boy, She took two steps toward the table where her pistol was while pulling a massive knife out from the inside of her skirt, then stopped, turned slightly toward the boy.
In a very nonchalant fashion, she brought the knife down on her left arm and made a deep incision, the blood spilling out and onto the ground immediately. The spats of blood seemed to make little divots into the concrete, as if a small part of the surface seemed to dissolve away. As she made the incision, Cherika drew in a deep rattled breath while tilting her head back and closing her eyes, keeping that position while sliding the knife all the way down her arm in a diagonal fashion, letting out a very audible exhale that seemed to resemble the kind of sound someone would make upon having satisfaction. "Oooh yes... Now..." she said, feeling revitalized. The pain she felt and the blood she drew made her forget her troubles with the man, and in fact drew a slight bit of arousal by his presence; a psychological trick she accidentally played on herself where she would associate her pleasure with the sight of this person, rather than the frustration she felt earlier.
Of course, she remembered what the boy said, but was too distracted by her minor euphoria to pay any emotions toward it. She just knew... This boy would be her next experiment. "Oh, I'm not hurting anyone. But, if you think I need to be punished..." she said, flicking the knife in her hand to do a semi-circle in the air and catching the tip of the blade, fully extending her arm out towards the boy (though she still wasn't standing close enough for him to grab it like that right away). "By all means, slice me to your heart's content," she finished, giving the boy a bit of a smirk. It wasn't evil or even malicious looking, but more inviting and flirtatious.
However, in just this short span, it seemed the cut she gave herself on the arm already seemed to be healing. The bleeding, while not completely stopped, seemed to be slowed dramatically already and there were signs that indicated she had a wound that had been there for a day or two, even though Nero would've just witnessed this happening seconds ago. This whole situation would be quite interesting for the girl actually. Sans observing his initial reaction to the scenario, she would come to question one, would this boy have the courage or be willing to do it?

As the situation continued, Nero would only raise his eyebrow, not even seeming a bit phased by the strangers actions. Of course, in Nero's mind, he was questioning each and every little thing the girl would do, even something as simple as blinking. As his mentor had taught him, any bit of emotion you show a potential enemy can and will be used against you. This was a task that could done ever so easy for the boy's cold and critical teacher, but not so easily when it came to Nero having to stay emotionless. He wouldn't ever deny it, he was an expressive person and with this weirdo paying him attention, he could only hope he wouldn't show his confusion towards the whole ordeal. Though, he couldn't lie, he did find something ever so interesting about this young lady. Not in the sense of what he would normally mean when finding a female interesting, but genuine curiosity about what she was plotting.
The boy wouldn't have to wait much longer, however, as the girl reached... Inside her skirt? Well, that seemed to escalate quickly. Nero couldn't exactly say he was surprised, most women he met had a similar reactions to meeting him... Oh, wait, she pulled out a knife? Well, that was still just as common to Nero, if not more. Still keeping his scowled expression, Nero watched as the girl proceeded to slice a rather large cut on her arm. Nero's first reaction was to sigh and begin to reach for the bandages in his side-pouch, but was a bit caught off guard as he watched the strange girl's cut begin to heal itself. Great, not only was this girl a weirdo, she was a powered-up weirdo. Rolling his eyes and letting out a bit of a chuckle, Nero pulled out his notebook.
While the stranger continued to cut herself (and enjoy it at that,) Nero opened the page of his notebook label 'bad-luck bingo,' looking unsatisfied. Had this girl had been a raging elephant, Nero would have completed a row of his bingo. Obviously, that wasn't the case. Though, the ever so silent girl would finally open her mouth before Nero could even complain about it. After all of the waiting for the weirdo to talk... He was essentially asked to carve into to her. What was this girl, a sadistic pumpkin? He was utterly baffled and was just about ready to finally break his emotional neutrality, but then he saw it. A dead giveaway. Looking at the girls face, Nero could instantly recognize her smirk as a playful one. She had simply been toying with him and Nero would be lying if he said he hadn't fell for it, but he couldn't let her know that.
Losing his scowl from earlier and replacing with a similar smirk to Cherri-chan's, the boy snapped his fingers, signalling his dog walk in front of him. Still keeping his eye focused on the girl, Nero clipped his rifle back on his dogs back, then began to approach her. "So, you wanna be punished, do you? Even after you claimed to be innocent? I'd be a liar if I said you weren't my type of girl, sweetheart." Reaching close enough to the girl, Nero gently took the handle of the her knife, slowly sliding it away from her and then examining it. Although the boy was simply playing along to the girls will, he did take the time to look at the knife and be slightly impressed. He wasn't much of a knife guy, in fact he had always felt more comfortable with just his bare hands over a knife, but she did carry around a rather nice knife.... Even if he wasn't crazy about where she keep it.
Winding the knife back and readying himself to severely cut the girl, Nero preformed a downward strike with the blade, purposely missing the girl. Instead, Nero had thrown the blade straight into the ground, straight between the girls legs. "Call me all the names in the book if you want, pumpkin-girl, but how would giving someone what they want be a punishment? Besides, I'm not really found of holding that damn knife, who know's what diseases are on that thing. Nero shuttered a bit before pulling out his pistol and aiming it at the knife, as to prevent the girl from reaching it. You know, really not trying to be 'that guy,' but seriously, pockets. Look them up."
Looking back up towards the girl, Nero simply shook his head. "Believe me, I'm not a fan of holding a gun to someone currently unarmed, such as yourself, but it's a little hard to trust the kind of people who carry knifes in their damn skirts. You got some sort of name or am I gonna have to keep calling you 'pumpkin-girl?' Feels a little awkward to be holding a gun to someone that you can't refer to by some sort of name. Rude even."

At the most recent development, Cheri-chan couldn't help but frown. what a kill joy. Notes for current experiment: subject isn't too reactive to peculiar and absurd behavior, has no aversion for danger. Well, that in itself was interesting, but he wasn't that easy. Maybe it was better this way. The fact that he wasn't scared away or giving her moral lectures was a good start, actually this heightened her interests a little. He didn't even... make any demands this time, he just wanted her name. Pumpkin girl? What was that? She wanted to shake her head, but she had more important things to worry about.
Apparently, her knife was being held hostage. Nothing a little black magic couldn't fix though. She wouldn't drop the moves right away, maybe she would appease him with some conversation first as her expression turned grumpy and she started whining like a spoiled child. "Oh what fun is that? Guess you're a little smarter than I kinda took you for, but from where I'm standing you're still dumb as a rock." She paused, cocking an eyebrow at him, placing her hands on her hips and leaning to the side. Her tone lifted from whiny to a more patronizing one. Her emotions seemed to be all over the place. "Like... what if the knife going to do that you have to hold a gun to it? Get up and slash you? Well... ITJUSTMIGHT!" To which, the girls voice regressed back to that of a little girl as she threw her right arm down.
She wasn't scared of a few bullets, though if the boy raised his gun she would dance to the side to avoid his shots, all while achieving her primary goal. She would cast a blade of mystifying purple energy from her fingertips and pop the knife out of the ground and then kicked the base of the handle it straight up into the air where it spun a couple times, but the girl simply caught it with it pointed toward the boy's forehead, or maybe a bit askew if she had to avoid his fire. She stood still, and then started breaking out into a howling laughter. Hopefully this boy would be to play with after this next demonstration where she proves his current strategy to be useless.
"...Just kidding! I'm not going to do anything to hurt you! Just... playing," she said, her voice sounded normal again at first, but then it regressed to a kitten-like meowing with her final two words. She flipped the knife backwards in her hands and carefully slipped it into the top of her skirt, having memorized exactly where its sheath is, it looked like the knife disappeared beneath the colorful fabric - which, seemed amazing in its own right, as once the handle was missing there was no indication that anything was hiding in her skirt. How weird! For now, she turned her side to the boy and walked over to the table and picked up her own pistol, holding the barrel into the air and tilting her head to the side to take a look at the action.
What purposed this served was anyone's guess, but she quickly spun back to the boy holding out her right, uninjured arm while holding the gun in her left hand (to which the cut on her arm was already close to being gone) and aimed it straight into her forearm just past the elbow and fired without hesitation, nearly point blank, shivering a bit at the mixed pain and excitement she felt. She quickly moved the barrel down her arm an inch and fired again, making another hole. Caustic blood poured like spilling water from a bucket onto the ground, but this didn't stop the girl from immediately moving the barrel a second inch and firing for a third hole. "Mmm..." she muttered to herself, relishing in the great feeling of pain.
At first she gripped her fist and made the blood spurt out just a bit faster, but by now the sounds were just barely closing, but she didn't seem to care about three gaping holes in her arms made by gunshot wounds. She turned back to the boy, with strange demeanor in her eyes. Her expression was a mix of boredom and disinterest while deep in her pupils, there seemed to be a touch of 'evil' sparking her emotions. Overall, she seemed like the fun was coming to an end. This was an act however, well played since it didn't seem fake, but she couldn't be having more fun right now. She couldn't wait to hear what came out of that smart-ass mouth of his next.
"Yeah, pointing a gun does you a whole lot of good. Not. So, you might as well continue to call me pumpkin-girl or whatever, but in return I'll just call you blunt head!" she said, her initial tone of voice matching her disinterested expression, but soon her eyes lit up a bit more and some color returned to her pitch, as she sounded more playful with the last few words that escaped her lips. "Because, you must not be that smart after all! Hehe..." her playful voice continuing to resonate. Maybe that would get on his nerves. "Just... why are you here, anyway?" she asked in a surprisingly normal-sounding tone, now that he was all riled up, maybe the answer to this question would answer question two: did he have a plan when he heard gunshots or is this another 'curiosity killed the cat'?

Although Nero already had a dislike for this girl, as he did for most people right off the bat, this small dislike was growing into a hatred as the girl continued to toy with him. However, much like before, the boy was doing his best to hide his confusion and frustration, but then she did it. She used Nero's most hated thing in the universe besides snakes, clowns, heights and helicopters. Magic. Though his face would show his anger and annoyance, the teen in no way felt defeat, taking aim at the strangers forehead while she aimed a knife at his. Nero would think this to be a stalemate, but this girl was always chop full of surprises. As she took the knife off his forehead, Nero would only become more confused. What the hell did this girl even want from him? Obviously not his death, as she had multiple chances to attempt to attack him, yet instead chose to play with him.
Cherri-chan doing all of this while referring to the boy as "dumb as a rock," made Nero laugh to himself and return to his cocky demeanor from before. It seems this girl really did take the boy for a fool, thinking he would fall for such petty insults, it reminded him of something that he himself would do. Ever since Nero had interrupted the girl's target practice, she had been trying to get a rise out of him, trying to make him lose his temper. Unfortunately for Cherri-chan, Nero had just as much fun messing with people as well. Thinking of how exactly he would mess with the girl was a different story, but pain-addicted girl would make things a bit easier for the boy. Smirking a bit before taking his aim for the girl, Nero would shoot 3 rounds towards the girl, purposely missing her as she went to grab her own pistol. She would next decide to shoot herself, not causing much surprise to boy, but his face would say other wise. Nero would leave his mouth open, acting as if the girl's display of her immunity to the bullets were the most awful thing he had seen.
Covering his mouth and turning his head away from Cherri-chan, Nero pretended to gag, as if the sight of her blood pouring out of her body was too much for him to handle. Of course, Nero had seen much worse in his years of adventuring, but that was the beauty of this situation. Normally, every person who has opposed the boy always had some history or knowledge of the fortune seeker. This time, it was like a clean slate, with neither of them actually knowing anything about the other. Sure, Nero made an observation that the girl is trying to get in his head, but even that was theory. He could very be wrong and suffer dearly for it, but that was the kind of rush the teen loved. After the girl would insult him once more, she'd continue to blabber on, but Nero would ignore most of what she dribbled out. But, just before Nero could retaliate, she'd ask the boy why he was here. That bugged him more than the insults and magic did, but for different reasons.
Really? After he had spent all that time thinking he had figured the weirdo out, she dropped that bombshell. If she was truly just trying to rustle Nero's jimmies, why would she even care about such a trivial thing as why he showed up? He would stay silent in thought for a few seconds before being brought back to reality by his partners growling. Reaching his left hand slightly to the left, the boy would call out towards his dog. "Relax Koj, she's an annoying idiot, but she's a harmless annoying idiot." He'd shake his head before spinning his pistol and placing it back in his shoulder holster. "Where to begin, where to begin.... There's just so much wrong here." Placing a hand on his chin and pulling out the notebook from earlier, Nero began to scribble down some bullet points. The boy would mutter and laugh to himself while writing the points he wanted to address, looking up at the girl every now and then, as if he were sketching her.
"Well, for starters, that nickname is really uninspired. I mean,'blunt head,' Really? You'd think someone who talks down to somebody so much would be a bit more clever. Number two: Pockets. Seriously, get on that." Scanning the page a bit the boy would smile and clear his throat. There's an awful lot of negatives here, so let me just skip over to the positives. For a pain-addicted weirdo, you're not a bad actor, in fact, you might be better off pursuing that career instead of whatever it is you do. Eh, besides being slightly cute, I got nothing else on your positives, just a cartoon drawing of you with a huge head and a little body, see?" the boy would say all of it looking down at his notebook, only turning it towards the stranger when he had finished.
The boy would turn his back to the girl, kneeling down next to his dog and petting him a bit. He would shoot the girl a glare before answering her last remark. "Why do you care why I showed up, pumpkin-girl? Seems a bit out of character for a person whose hobbies include shooting themselves and practicing voodoo-ass magic." Not even giving the girl time to respond why, Nero would stand up, rest his hands on his hips and sigh. "Look, if you gotta know, my damn dog heard gunshots and was worried for the townspeople. Happy? That's it, sweetheart. Sorry to disappoint you, but I didn't come all this way just to visit you, so if you'll excuse us, we're gonna have to go find a hotel room for the night. Sure there's not anything else you need from me before I go? Don't want my number or anything? Better yet, why not give me a hug for coming out all this way."
Pulling out his pistol, Nero emptied out the old clip before popping in a new one and putting his gun away. Although he was obviously being sarcastic with most of his remarks, he did honestly want to know what the girl wanted from him, but he wouldn't be able to outright ask her a question. This was Nero after all, the teen rarely ever was direct and would usually use his smart-ass mouth to get information out of people, but he wasn't sure if this girl would be direct with him either.

Disappointing in all notions of the word. Seriously. Maybe the boy wasn't as dumb as she outwardly expressed, but he certainly was dull. He had yet to make anything pop out. Hmm... Maybe if she just made a tweak here and there, changed the playing field and laid down her hand, he would have a bit more a reaction she could consider interesting. This experiment wasn't a total fail simply do the fact that she was willing to do trial of process an error of a 'well what if I change this or do this?' scenario, rather than scaring him off right away (or killing him. She could've tried to kill him at any time). Then again, she was still in a really good mood.
The boy sure had a mouthful, and while he spoke she switched the clip in her own pistol, sliding the partially empty one in her holster on the outside of her skirt to magically recharge and then flipping the gun into the holster and well, throwing the strap around it to secure it in place. Pockets? Pfft. She had to think about her own word choice, but perhaps she should let him know that he gave her a lot to think about. "Hang on now - that was a lot to take in all at once! I'll try my best, so just let me know if I miss anything! So anyway!" she began, tilting her head back slightly and putting her left, mostly-uninjured hand to her chin to indicate a moment of thought, and decided some reasonable responses.
"First off, just because you can't see pockets doesn't mean they aren't there. I have more than a knife and a gun on me, and you can trust me that nothing's tucked away in my undies! Or my skin. Seriously. unless you know... you wanna check! Next," she said, winking and taking a short breath. "I'm just a super genius with immortality, not an actor. I was never acting. I just get a little... excited, when the blood is flowing, if you know what I mean." It seemed now her voice was more neutral and matter-of-factly than ever. If she was thought to be hiding anything, this would be the indication that there really wasn't anything more to the girl than met the eye at this point. Her excited and twisting playful tones earlier have all melded down into simple, average conversational speak.
And, up to this point, she wasn't lying either, it's just perhaps 'super genius' was a bit of a dramatization which overqualified her curious experimental nature. Just because she knew a lot of trivia didn't make her a genius, but she wasn't really too... dumb, either. But still, not quite super genius. Maybe in the future. "And finally, curiosity is definitely in my character, I do care why you're here because you have the audacity to interrupt Cheri-chan's target practice and continued to be here without being productive in any way!" she said, raising her voice for certain emphasized parts of her sentence and lowering in-between. She wasn't actually mad, this is just the way she spoke. Smart, immortal, or not, she was still a psychopath.
"As for a hug," she said, pausing to point at her arm with the bullet holes which were still bleeding quite a bit only barely beginning to actually close now, "not a good idea since my blood is acidic enough to kill you with just half a liter or so." She shifted the focus from her arm to the small crater that was forming in the concrete and brick beside her with a simple gesture, showing that her blood was powerful enough to melt a rather tightly bonded stone. "Maybe some other time though! But if you want to stay in my place for a little while, it's free, just don't expect me to feed you."
Question three: how will he handle the girl being... a completely normal human being? While on the outside she conducted herself in a very acceptable social manner, on the inside her brain was brimming with anticipation. This is never how the girl conducted herself, but what if? This is why she loved experimenting so much, the thrill of seeing results was almost too much contain, but Cheri-chan stood perfectly still and eagerly awaited his replies.

Well, if there was one thing Nero could respect, it was someone who wasn't afraid to talk as much as he did. Though, respect didn't exactly mean the teen's feelings toward the girl would change very much, if at all. He would still find himself tensing up, even as the stranger would throw some smart remarks back his way, he wouldn't even shed his signature smirk at her. The thing that would really get the boys attention on the girl would be the display of her acidic blood. Even the mention of her supposedly being 'a super genius immortal,' didn't get much of a rise out of the boy. He had been in the company of people with huge enough egos to call themselves a genius or even an immortal, but acidic blood would be a new entry on the rather long lists of odd things Nero had encounter over his years of being a treasure hunter. Hearing the girl (who apparently refers to herself in third person) offer him a place to stay was another thing that would make Nero feel a little uncomfortable.
His initial reaction would be to tell the girl where she could stick her offer and continue on to find a nice, psychopath free room, but there was a rather big hole in Nero's plan, or rather his pockets. He wanted nothing more than to turn down Cherri-chan's offer, but after paying for that the full ride to Agrabah and getting dumped off here early, he'd only have enough to cover one ride to the desert world, making the option to pay for a hotel room off the table. At this point, Nero was just having the internal debate whether to take the free room with Cherri-chan for one night, or just postpone his trip to Agrabah a few more days and earn the munny some other way. Of course, Nero wouldn't care for the safer and more obvious choice and would almost automatically pick to accept the psychopath's offer, if only so the treasure in Agrabah would have a more likely chance of still being there.
Sucking up his pride and letting out a grunt through his scowl, Nero would rest his hands on his hips, barely even able to look at the girl. "I'll take you up on your offer..." Nero would say in a slightly annoyed tone, taking a deep breath before he looked back up at Cherri-chan. "The dog's name is Koji, you can just call me Bleu. Or, you know, you can stick to that crappy nickname you gave me, I could care less." Nero wasn't exactly sure how to react to the whole situation, even after agreeing to stay with Cherri-chan. He would feel defeat of some kind, a feeling that would only make him wish he had denied the girl's offer with every second he was in her company. It only worsened when the boy glanced at his watch, realizing just how much time he would actually have to spend with Cherri-chan. Using his knowledge on how other worlds handled gummiship travels, it'd be a little over a day before he could even get away from her, a little over a day being if he was lucky. That was a long time to worry about a crazy person cutting off his skin in his sleep or leaking her acid blood on him.
Regardless, if the teen was going to be forced to spend time with Cherri-chan, he figured he may as well try to make the best out of it. Though, that was easier said than done, as he appeared to have nothing slightly in common with the crazed girl. Well, aside from a pistol, but even that was a different model. Nero still had plenty of questions for the girl, but one of them was driving the teen insane. Why was she helping him out in any way? The two seemed to have a mutual dislike and stance toward each other and she definitely didn't seem like the type to help others out of good will. He could only assume she had some sort of reason for offering to give him a place to stay, whether it was to because she need something from Nero or just wanted to cause him harm, Nero didn't like it.
Raising an eyebrow at Cherri-chan and giving her a smirk, Nero would attempt to get answers from his new host, but not directly. Although he was fairly certain this girl wouldn't fall for any of his usual charm, he figured he may as well test the waters. After all, what did he have to lose? Worst case scenario, she'd attack him or un-invite the boy ro stay with her. Two things that didn't seem so bad to Nero. "Not that I'm not grateful that you're letting us stay with you, but why the sudden change of heart? I mean, one second you're pointing a knife to my head, the next your offering me a place to stay? Either you have a very odd way of flirting with people or you setting me up for something."
Pulling out his notebook, Nero would begin to scribble down some information regarding the gummiship situation before continuing. "No matter the reason you have, I don't care. I look forward to whatever you have planned, pumpkin-girl. Let's see if you really are a "super genius." Closing his notebook and sliding into his side-pouch, Nero would signal for his dog to follow behind him. "Mind if we head over there real quick? I'd rather get this heavy bag off of my back sooner than later. Besides, maybe if you're lucky, I'll take you up on that offer to check you for more weapons" Nero would say the last bit in a sarcastic tone before giving the girl a wink.

[OOC: Do I have BGM for every occasion? YOU BUTTER BELIEVE IT!] Studying his being very carefully, Cherika never broke eye contact. She tried to watch for everything - every little twitch his body would make, every single wrinkle the boy's face would make for even the slightest variations of facial expressions, and sounds he made... She eagerly interpreted the entirety of the boy's reaction and response. She hadn't had this much fun with a test subject in quite a while as it was about time she found someone lively and interesting to provoke and mess with. The best part is he hadn't seemed to catch on to any of her internal schemes, but she shouldn't underestimate him. As long as he continued to play along, the girl was still winning. When she offered her own place to stay, there wasn't any better reason than so she could keep interacting with this test subject of hers. She has no sense of personal space; not any more, any sentiments of privacy she might have been able to develop were stolen from her by the scientist that made her who she was, eventually having no value for any physical object that wasn't attached to her, only sustained by the test subjects that came her way every once in a while. A lot like this fellow. However, she fully expected him to decline, it was a rather sudden and strange offer, to which Cherika planned to show him around town for hotels and the such, hopefully being there long enough to find out exactly where he was staying so that she may continue contact with her test subject. So, it must not be hard to imagine the surprise that struck the girl's face when the boy agreed: granted, he didn't look or sound like he was too happy about agreeing. It gave her mixed feelings, but ultimately intrigued her more. She was shocked, but delighted that she would spend quality time with her new play toy... and this would be where the unhealthy level of attachment begins to start, as her brain formulated all of these great possibilities of how to poke around this guy without scaring him off; which probably wasn't possible at this point, but you never know. "Cherika! Or just Cheri if you'd like!" the girl spoke with a bubbly attitude in reply to the man introducing himself as Bleu. Named after a color? Interesting. She seemed rather elated when the boy hesitantly agreed, though things would turn a bit more sour when he seemed just as inquisitive about her personal thoughts as she was about his, albeit he was far more direct in his approach (or so she believed). The girl would put her hands on her hips and give him a disinterested look. She thought up an answer as the boy wrote in his notebook some more, but continued to speak before she could really interject. Though, as the boy continued to speak, the situation would just get worse and worse. This was her experiment, not his! "I'm not going to answer any of that," she said rather blatantly, her face adjusted in a beaming look while speaking in a sharp tone. However, she wouldn't leave him hanging on such an upsetting and unfulfilling answer. She'd lighten up her look with a subtle smile and raise the tone of her voice to be more matter-of-fact as well. "However, it's very clear to me that you're not from around here, have no friends or family in the area or anywhere nearby, and that this is probably not your final destination, but you're short on funds to get there. You better be grateful," she said, a slight malicious twist in her tone of voice towards the end of the sentence. While that last one was simply a guess, she thought it was accurate since if he ended up where he was intending to go, she assumed he would've had some sort of plan. The fact that he accepted her invitation spoke to her that he lacked one entirely; even if that wasn't the case, she had some serious tunnel vision. She lightened right back up with another cute smile however, as she sought to fulfill his request to show him the place as soon as possible. But first, she would make him either regret that playful remark or embrace it, as she first stepped toward him and attempted to grab his free wrist and direct his arm such that his hand would be placed flat against the center of her stomach, then looking up directly into his eyes, continuing whether or not she successfully directed his touch. "It was a serious invitation, you know. Check if you'd like," she said, if she had a hold of his wrist still she'd gently push it down just a smidge to give a direction, but wouldn't go any farther than where her belly button was on her own influence, if he left his hand exactly where she stopped it would simply rest half an inch above her skirt. She would give him a second or two to make a decision before turning around regardless and motioning him to follow her by extending her index finger and flexing it twice in succession. "My place is right around the corner. Anything I personally value is kept on my person at all times, so feel to treat the place as if it were your own within reason, so long as you follow my commands should I find you acting inappropriately you can stay as long as you need to." That didn't seem too unreasonable, right? Well, now that she had her subject 'captive', the real fun could begin. However, she would be perfectly ethical as she would never want what was done to her to be done unto anyone, as her interests more involved prodding his mind than his body, which she thought was perfectly acceptable. She would offer him a place to stay, let him be comfortable and free to go at any time, and best of all she probably wouldn't ever prod him with needles! Probably! They rounded the corner and came up to a simple two-story house off by itself, any neighboring house a minimum half-block away. The mad scientist that kept her wanted as little interruption as possible. She opened the door which seemed unlocked, but didn't go inside initially, instead she turned around and faced the boy once more. "Any other questions? Requests? Oh and... If there is one rule, obey 'KEEP OUT' signs. They're rigged to alarms if they're ever opened, which are annoying and very difficult to reset," She said. Should the boy have no questions, she'd lead him in. Otherwise, she would begin answering in and then lead him in while she spoke. The house wasn't too strange, in front of the door was a set of stairs going up offset to the left, a hallway to the back of the house in the center, and an archway to a simple living area that had a couch, two chairs, a coffee table and an empty entertainment center minus the fancy-looking modern stereo in the center. To the right was a desk with a computer, three bookshelves and a single office chair. Straight across at the end was the kitchen and dining area; a standard square table and three wooden chairs to the left behind the stairs, as well as a door to what would supposedly be the basement labeled KEEP OUT. Two counters, a worn-down fridge, a new-looking oven and a microwave to the right. Upstairs were three doors, the one in the middle labeled KEEP OUT, to the left was a standard full bathroom, to the right was her bedroom. All that was in it was a new-looking bunk bed with some useless junk and knick-knacks along the top bunk, and then a dresser with a lamp on it. The closet was mostly empty, except for a single blood-stained purple dress. Cherika would lead him upstairs and show him her room, clear off the top bunk by setting everything in a neat pile on the floor in the corner next to her dresser and would say he could have either one, as she would probably sleep downstairs anyway. The house seemed... minimalistic, but worked. At least, for her needs. Then again, who knew what was behind those strange doors. Now for her question... Well, it was less of a question to ask this time, and more of an analysis. Having been so open about information before, how would he feel about a big slap of denial right to his face with a bitter refusal to entertain his question? What is his attitude about his new living arrangement for at least a day? ...would he honestly not barge into the doors labeled 'KEEP OUT'?

(OOC: Much like the dragons, the post for our other thread is coming. It's on its way.)
Upon hearing the girl's response to his questioning of her, Nero would smile. For the first time in their entire meeting, the girl seemed to be bothered by his statement. What exactly she had been bothered with he hadn't a clue, but he seemed a bit more confident that Cheri had some sort of reason for wanting him around, a reason he intended to find out. After all, he would have to spend time with this girl regardless if wanted to or not, why not give himself an extra challenge to go along with it? Though, the feeling of irritation would leave the girl just as fast as it came, with her introducing herself as Cherika. "Cheri? Eh, I've heard worse names. At least you aren't named Keith or something dumb." The boy would joke with the girl once more, unaware of the fact she seemed to have taken his last remark a bit too serious. It seemed the smart-mouthed teen would have to watch his usual habits, this was made perfectly clear to him when Cheri grabbed hold of his wrist. Nero wasn't a stranger to a females touch, but his face would make it seem otherwise. He was mostly just surprised with the fact that she was the one touching him.
As Cheri directed his hand to her stomach, Nero would watch as she slid his hand further and further down, keeping the same surprised look on his face as when she grabbed it in the first place. Luckily for him, Cheri would stop it before she got too low, but wouldn't move his hand away. Nero may have been a renowned womanizer, but this... This just seemed a little wrong, even for him. Though, he couldn't say he didn't consider it, as not only would it make the boy less tense around her, it was a free feel. After a few tense seconds of a standstill, the boy would tilt his head and blow air out his nose. "Call me old fashioned, but I'm not too big on feeling up a girl I barely know. Maybe after we spend more time together we can play that game." Removing his hand off the girl's body, he'd watch as she seemed unaffected and continued to fulfill is request to see where he would be staying for the day.
Like most of the times Cheri had blabbered on to the boy, he'd listen for any thing too outlandish in what she said as he followed her to her home. Shoving his hands in his pockets, the boy trudge slowly behind her, a bit uneasy with the thoughts of what kind of house the crazy girl must have lived in. In Nero's mind, he could only see it as one of those typical mad scientist lairs, the kind he would see in old cartoons when he was growing up. The thought of Cheri living in the haunted-looking houses was enough to make the boy chuckle to himself, if only for the fact of how fitting of a home it would be for her. Mad scientist house or not, Nero wouldn't be too affected by it. Sure, he'd most likely feel uncomfortable at first, but this was Nero. The unlucky teen had been locked in a catacomb full of rotting dead people overnight before, Cheri's house couldn't possibly be any worse than that. Fortunately, Nero wouldn't have to speculate over Cheri's house for very long, as a normal looking house was now in front of him.
Wait... Normal? How did that work? Seeing as how she seemed barely older than him, Nero was expecting a run-down janky looking house, but that wouldn't be the case. Hell, the house looked nicer than the one he had grown up in on his home world and that wasn't owned by him, just how exactly did Cheri come into possession of this house? He most likely couldn't just ask her, even if he did, she'd have no reason to answer the boy. Placing his hand on his chin, Nero came to the conclusion that there had to be something wrong with the inside of the house, but he wouldn't get to dwell to much on that thought, as Cheri would break his focus with the mention of the one rule. KEEP OUT signs? Yeah, that didn't seem like anything that should worry him. Did she really think she could lay that bombshell on Nero without him so much as a word from him? Well, she was right in a sense. Of course, Nero had a million things to say regarding the KEEP OUT signs, but that's what she'd want from him, meaning that was the last thing Nero was gonna give her. "Yeah yeah, I got it. Don't pee in the shower and stay out of the rooms where you keep the dead bodies. Any other rules? As long as you allow pets inside, we should be golden." As most times when he replied to the girl, Nero would once again regain his smug demeanor, even if he was the complete opposite on the inside. Within seconds, Cheri would open the door, leading the boy in.
Once again, Nero was wrong. Walking through her house, it all seemed... Normal. That was the best way to describe it, as the only thing that Nero could label as different would be the 'KEEP OUT' doors, but he was already irked by those before he had even entered the house. All in all, he wouldn't complain. Aside for the strangely labeled and apparently alarmed doors, the house didn't seem to out of the ordinary, which wasn't bad opposed to what he had expected, just different. There was still the quick surge curiosity every time he would glance at one of the labeled doors, but he couldn't see it being much of a problem for him. After all, Nero had enough self control to resist investigating the doors for a day, which was how long he expected to stay, meaning everyone would win. Nero would get to Agrabah and begin his next treasure hunt while Cheri would get to do.... Whatever it is she did. As soon as he thought about how little he knew about her, it made the already fishy situation a bit more suspicious. For all she knew, Nero could've had the most vile and disgusting career or background out there, yet she invited him into her home, before even knowing his name no less. After looking around the house for a bit, Cheri would lead the boy up to her bedroom, clearing off the top bunk of the bunk bed before offering him either.
Nero could've stood there for hours wondering why the hell she owned a bunk bed when she apparently lived alone, but he had more important things to worry about than Cheri's sense when it came to buying beds. Looking at the both the beds, the boy would scratch the back of his head before whistling for his sidekick. "Take your pick Koji, I trust your judgement more than I trust mine. Pretty sure we wouldn't be in this house if I had decent judgement." As soon as Nero gave the command, Koji would sniff around the beds for a few seconds, finally laying down on the center of the floor. Laughing a bit, Nero would shrug at Cheri. "Apparently, we're taking the floor. Not like I needed to have a good back." Walking over towards his dog, Nero would set his bag down besides the dog neatly before laying down and resting his head on Koji's torso. Although it'd probably seem uncomfortable for most, it was good enough for Nero. Sitting up and turning his head towards the girl's closet, he couldn't help but notice a purple dress stained in red. Nero was pretty certain he knew what it was stain was, but couldn't pass the opportunity to make a joke about it.
"What, did you load a burger with too much ketchup and spill it on your pretty dress? Is that what you do when you're not out pointing knives to peoples foreheads? Working at a burger joint?" Standing up as he asked the question, Nero would giggle a bit while finishing his joke. He may have worded the question with a light-hearted tone, but he was attempting to work his magic in hi own way. Sure, first he'd begin to chat jokingly, but hopefully the boy would get some sort of answer from her. He'd wait for her to reply before speaking up again, this time more along the lines of thinking out loud rather than trying to gather information from her. "So, what exactly do you do to pass the time around here?"

So the boy was a little less 'playful' than Cherika had anticipated. The way he conducted himself, he might've seemed open to promiscuous conduct, which was strictly a guess. The girl was pretty good at pinpointing people's personalities pretty early, but that's what happens when you have nothing to do with your life but study others. Picking out their patterns was easy, but nailing the specifics was just guesswork. She was correct more often than not, but she still made a wrong guess every now and then.
That, or the boy just didn't trust her. Lame. She was curious and growing attached, she wouldn't have minded a bit of a touch from this stranger. It's not he could have really hurt her; inflicting injury is only a turn-on and she was practically immortal anyway, as far as she could tell. "Up to you," she said as they left, though it was probably peculiar that she seemed so nonchalant about the whole ordeal. Normally girls are a bit more finicky about being touched, but this girl was far from normal.
The experience of leading him into the house was pleasant enough. He kept his witty remarks to himself, except for when they were actually funny. She couldn't help but laugh out loud at the 'don't pee in the shower' comment. "You think I'm that stingy? Sheesh. I'd be willing to go as far as to say you could pee on me in the shower, if you really needed to. I'd imagine you'd want to time your cleaning routines off-set with mine, which is an unfortunate waste of water," she said, winking at the boy. She sounded totally serious, perhaps she took this joke a bit too far.
"As far as bodies go, sure, stay out, and you won't be one of them!" her cheerful tone sounded so wrong here. Was she really joking at this point? It was so difficult to tell, there were times she was just honest, or sounded like she was joking when she wasn't, and... wait a minute. Had she said anything she was actually joking about since these two met, even once? That was a scary thought in of itself, at this point. Spoilers, though, there aren't any bodies in the house besides the two of them and the dog.
"Pets are fine, though." Cheri-chan wanted to reach out and pet Koji, but she didn't trust that the dog would be okay with that, so she merely gave him a smile and kept her hands to herself. Dogs were cute, but also very intelligent and defensive creatures. Especially one that traveled around with a man like this one.
They made their way upstairs regardless. When it came time to choose a bed, despite the fact that Cherika mentioned she would sleep on the couch downstairs regardless of their choice, he picked neither, and laid down on the floor instead. Seriously? Cherika couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at that. "...Guess I'll sleep in here after all. You lose your chance for a private-esque room like that; are you sure?" she began to ask. Before she would get a serious answer though, of course the boy would point out one of the last things she wanted to talk about. She always liked looking at it for some reason though, hence she kept her closet open.
Cherika let out a deep sigh, her face twisting to a sort of discomfort. She let out a soft vibration of her voice that sounded vaguely like two 'heh heh's that were barely audible. She might as well tell him the truth. "To this day I cannot fathom why he did this, but! The entirety of my days as a test subject, I was chained up and naked, but for the day master endowed me with immortality, he bought me this dress to wear for the greatest experiment he ever performed. It's cute, isn't it?" she asked, her voice droning as if there was a strange longing in her voice. She wasn't quite done yet though.
"That is also the last of the blood that ever bled out of me that wouldn't be corrosive enough to melt anything it touches, that isn't me directly." She continued staring at the dress for a while, the silence being a bit of a void. She remembered the procedure clearly, but after she went berserk everything's just blank. One moment the gem was being inserted into the back of her neck, the next she's lying in a pool of the scientist's blood. It was quite gruesome, but she wouldn't give him the details.
The silence would be broken though by a comment to change the subject, which honestly was the best course of action now. "That's easy. I just perform experiments! Or, if I have bills coming up, I do a couple of odd jobs to keep my funds at a stable level. Research isn't cheap." She wanted to hint that she was absolutely loaded, and maybe the boy would be intrigued enough to try and test just how much money she had, and maybe if she would be inclined to let the boy have some either by working for her or something else. Judging by his lack of response to her chain of assumptions, she just concluded that she was right all along. This would be... interesting.

So, it seemed Cheri wasn't really to blame for her lack of sanity. Hearing the girl's past, Nero would look away from her and down towards his fists. At one point in her life, it seemed as if Cheri could have simply been a normal (well, normal-er) girl who had done no wrong to anyone, then become a criminal's play thing. It made him almost feel sorry for the girl, but he lost the feeling quickly. Not because of anything Cheri had done, but because this girl most likely wouldn't want any pity, why would she? It wouldn't fix anything and he himself hated when people would feel sorry for him. No, Nero decided his best course of action would be to treat the girl as he had been since they met, which had seemed to be working for him so far. He was still walking around her without a knife in his head, so he could count that as a win, but her coming clean about her past did make the teen earn a little bit more respect and trust towards her, albeit only a small amount.
Simply laughing off the girl's comment about sleeping in the same room as him, Nero would watch as his dog would walk up to Cheri and sit at her feet. "Eh, as long as you don't snore or get bad gas at night, I don't see a problem with it, unless.... You're afraid to be in a dark room with me." The boy winked at Cheri before he continued. "Besides, Koji seems to have warmed up to you, especially after wanting to bite your head off earlier." Rolling his eyes, Nero watched as his dog held out it's paw, offering it to Cheri to shake and continue to hold it out for a few seconds. Whether the girl shook it or not, Koji would trot back to his partner and lay down behind the teen's legs, looking away from both Nero and Cheri. Though it would seem both Nero and Koji were just being friendly, this would be entirely true. Well, for Nero anyway.
By giving up his private room, he hoped it would give Cheri no reason to think he was up to anything, but he wouldn't count too much on it. After all, the girl easily guessed his exact situation earlier, she was in no way a slouch in the brains department and Nero had to account for that. Mixing his disinterest towards the labeled doors with sharing Cheri, what reason would she have to suspect him of anything? The only thing Nero could see as a giveaway would be his profession, something he would make a mental oath to not share with her. Speaking of professions, Cheri would give Nero a little too much of what he wanted to here when it came to what she did. Even if he was trying to remain emotionally neutral for most of their exchanges, Nero's eyes would light up as soon as he realized what the girl was implying.
As much as Nero only wanted to stay for a day, if he could make munny with this girl, he'd gladly stay a few days extra. Besides his guns, canteen and desert apparel, Nero didn't have any supplies for his trip to Agrabah, perhaps Cheri would be the answer to that. Of course, Nero wouldn't be able to just ask her for the funds, he had too much pride for something so low, but maybe if she was in the right business of 'odd jobs,' Nero could be of assistance to her. He wouldn't exactly be willing to do anything downright criminal in nature, as Nero wasn't that terrible of a person, he was just a moderately terrible person. That being the case, Nero wouldn't be above using this girl for a few quick bucks. Though, it's not like the girl would be walking away empty handed, as she obviously had some reason for wanting to keep Nero around, aside from the obvious eye-candy reason, and she'd still be having him around if he was working with her.
"Odd jobs, huh? Anything in my line of work? I'd love to pay you back for allowing me to stay with you. Besides, I have to kill some time anyway, why not help you out a bit?" Resting his hands on his hips and smiling at the girl, Nero began to try and work her over. Normally with women, Nero would try some slick move on them, attempting to flirt his way to what he would want, but he didn't feel so confident in the fact that Cheri would react the same way. Cheri was already far from normal, leaving Nero to recall that the only time he had seen her seem to get some pleasure was from causing herself pain. In his mind, Nero would only have thoughts about how odd this kinky weirdo was, but seeing as he was trying to get her to hire him for anything, he'd force himself not to make a witty joke, but instead continue his efforts.
"If you have good enough work, maybe I'll have to stay for an extra day or two. After finishing his sentence, Nero would chuckle to himself before continuing. "Who knows, if you've got really good work, maybe we can 'play' a little rough." Nero wasn't really sure if mentioning the last bit would help his case in any way, but he felt as if it was worth a shot. Really, the most pleased he had seen her thus far had been when she had shot herself, perhaps that's what she wanted from Nero? He doubted it, as she seemed far too smart to be interested in that alone, but he wasn't sure what to expect from Cheri. As he always did, Nero would wait for the girl's response, hoping he had played his cards right.

Having their own room for the night didn't seem to appeal to either of them at all. Hopefully they knew that she was not shy about strangers, in all contexts, having no sense of shame from being locked up most of her life and never really learning to be embarrassed for any behavior she might exhibit, but she knew full well that others were. It fascinated her, but she wouldn't mention anything, she would simply let them make their choice. In fact, the dog didn't seem to mind Cheri-chan after all, walking up and offering his paw. "Aww, how cute!"
She was no stranger to affection, for sure. She kneeled down and shook his paw and stroked him on the head a couple times, giving a sensation of touch that any animal would be happy to experience. Well, unless they had problems being touched in the first place, though she doubted a dog that offers paws has a thing about being touched. Finally, she managed to get what she wanted all along, a chance to pet the pretty puppy. "You are just the sweetest." Her tone of voice was a typical demeanor when addressing a child or pets in general, rather predictable actually. He would eventually have his fill and return to his owner however, prompting the girl to stand up straight again with an audible 'hup'.
It was also perfect how the boy left her back story at only what she said. He was probably curious, but wasn't nosey enough to ask any further questions or make further remarks. She thought she did a pretty good job of giving him all the info he needed at minimum to put a picture together, and blanks he may come up with were complete that of his own curious imagination. Still, he didn't ask, while Cherika wouldn't have minded sharing, perhaps this was just for the best. This arrangement was only temporary, right? Even if he was only a test subject, he wasn't bound to last forever. There is an end to every vein of gold, unfortunately. On the bright side, she has yet to dig deep enough to find it for this one.
More appropriate, he decided to ask questions on what really mattered. She thought the subject of money would interest him. Truthfully, she wanted to help him get to where he needed to go for being such a fascinating subject for her, but if he was also willing to put in some work she didn't see why he couldn't earn a little bit for a living. She hadn't considered involving him since claimed to stay for just one night, but now that he mentions adding a few days if he can be of service, perhaps he could help her out with something.
Truthfully, this little event she planned she would normally think nothing of asking for help, no matter how dangerous, she considered herself immortal so the possibility of injury or death was far from frightening, but what did make her nervous sometimes was the possibility of being captured - something that a resistance to injury couldn't help her in the slightest. It only become a recent concern, when someone brought up the fact when she previously dismissed someone worrying about her safety due to being immortal, being told 'maybe, but that won't save you from being bound and gagged'.
"Actually," she began, turning to the boy and giving him a devious smile. "Since you carry around a gun, I'd imagine you know how to use it. I have a dangerous product I'm selling in three days, and I think an extra hand of protection wouldn't be the worst thing. Of course..." she said, taking a step further and looking at his arm, reaching her hand out and running her finger down his left bicep, "you'd just have to pass a quick test to prove me to your marksmanship is worth hiring. Ten thousand munny is the starting pay should you earn one point above failure, increasing from there the better you do. Sound good?" She said. This ought to get his attention.
"And, who knows," she began in a tone mocking his last statement from before, "if you manage to do really good work, I'll pay you more in just munny." She took a step back and winked at him, resisting the urge to laugh. Seems her plaything was about to become a body guard; as she predicted that he wasn't amateur with the way he conducted himself. This would be interesting however, considering her plans for this sale of hers coming up soon.

With Cheri giving the boy the exact answer he wanted to hear and then some, he was taken back a bit. At most, he figured he'd get some moderate payoff for helping her with an experiment or something among those lines, but being hired as protection was something Nero had done before. Granted, he hadn't specialized or been a regular body guard, but he had done it enough to know how it works. Though, he couldn't help but wonder why she would even need extra protection, it's not as if the girl was even phased by the threat of death or being wounded. Nero wasn't one to look a gift-horse in the mouth, so he'd gladly take the girl's offer with no questions asked. It seemed the girl was not only willing to pay him for his services, but perhaps take it a step further with a more personal reward. Although he was mostly just flirting and joking with the psychopathic girl, he really was begging to develop a small liking for Cheri. If only for the money she had offered him.
Smiling and pulling out his pistol, Nero would begin to inspect the gun, making sure it was in top condition before agreeing to accept the girls offer. "If you got the funds, Me and my partner here are more than happy to prove our worth." Every instinct in Nero's body was telling him to ask what exactly Cheri was selling, but he could only see this either annoying his host and now employer, which was something he desperately wanted to avoid. Even though he hadn't seen any sign of his mentor being alive for months, Nero could still hear his old partners voice drilling in his ear, nagging him not to screw this one job up with his curiosity, so Nero would keep his mouth shut for now. Hell, he probably wouldn't even care anymore once he received his payment.
Walking to his bag and pulling out his reserve clips from it, Nero would turn his head back towards the girl while he shoved them into his side pouch. "So, what kinda test is this? Moving target, stationary target? Both maybe?" After filling his pouch, Nero stood up, grabbing his rifle off of his dogs back and inspected it next. Normally, Nero wasn't so careful when it came to preparing for some shooting, but he never had much money on the line to warrant such preparation. If Cheri wanted to see just how much of a skilled gunsman he was, then she was going to see just how well his years of treasure hunting have payed off for him. Well, not an literal pay-off, otherwise he wouldn't even need to be proving himself to this girl and would've been in Agrabah by now.
After checking thoroughly checking his rifle, Nero clipped it back to his dog's back, feeling confident that his guns wouldn't be jamming or affecting his aim in any way. For once in his life, a unlucky situation he got in to seemed to be turning into a lucky one for once. Sure, he may have still been forced to spend time with Cheri, but if he was getting paid, There wasn't much Nero wouldn't do for the girl. Besides the threat of Cheri snapping and trying to kill him, which seemed just a tad unlikely at this point, Nero really did see no problem in sticking around with for a little bit. It had been a while since he had any kind of human interaction, as he spent most his time talking to his best friend and partner, who unfortunately couldn't really talk back to him. At this point, even Cheri seemed like a nice change of pace, even if she wasn't stable.
"Do you want to just get the marksman test over with, Cheri? The faster I get that out of the way, the faster I can earn my reward." The teen would smirk a bit before attempting to rest his hands Cheri's hips. She could easily move out of the way if she didn't want the boy's touch, but regardless, Nero would look into the girl's eyes. "Oh, and you know, the munny would be nice too. Definitely not as rewarding though." Smiling at the girl and returning the wink she had given him earlier, Nero couldn't help but feel a bit weird saying what he had. Of course, he thought it was a lie, as he would instantly take the munny over her other reward any day... Wouldn't he? Strangely enough, Nero didn't feel as his statement was entirely a lie, leaving him feeling a bit uncertain. He was was so sure he knew exactly why he was doing this, but as the situation unfolded, he actually felt less sure of himself with every move he made. Trying to keep the ten thousand munny as his priority, Nero would wait for the girl's response.

Perfect. The sound of money made this boy perk right up, despite his snarky demeanor he seemed far more chipper when he knew he was getting paid. All very interesting. Only, it would make this boy seem simpler than Cheri-chan had begun to imagine, as he seemed to have some complex guiding systems that lead him to make such... interesting decisions before, a mix of breaking and fulfilling expectations. Although, one thing he was not shy about was getting paid, but who wouldn't be flustered by offering that much?
Truthfully, in the business of arms dealing, a typical bodyguard's salary runs much, much higher because usually the targets are more vulnerable putting more responsibility into the guard's hands to be protective and willing to even put up a sacrifice; though Cherika would never put anyone through that mess. She just needed someone who could be an extra set of eyes, and should she be rendered incapable of autonomy, have someone to follow and break her out of whatever bind she managed to get in. Therefore, since he was out of most danger, well the paycheck couldn't be as hefty. She knew for a fact that her client's guards received a thirty percent commission, and for how much she was offered for her prototype... well, they were getting a nice chunk of change well over ten thousand munny. Not that she would tell the boy any of that.
"Precision, more than anything. You're not going to be at my side, instead!" she said, getting excited and jumping up to the top bunk, pretending to go prone, hold an invisible rifle and aim down the scope, making a 'pew' noise as she fired it. "You're a guardian angel! With bullets instead of wings~" she giggled and sounded way too happy about this. She rolled off the bed and landed neatly crouched on the floor and stood back up, yawning and stretching. All of this arousal she built up earlier was really causing her to crash having no major payoff or no stimulation since the gunshot wounds she inflicted on herself earlier.
"Technically," she began to reply to Nero's last remark, "you have to wait for the deal to go down in three days to get paid, so taking your test at any point in that timeframe is ineffectualBUT! We can certainly just do it now. Here's what we have to do! I'm going to run out of the house and turn left. You count to fifteen, find your way onto my roof, look for me, and aim your gun at my palm that I will be holding up. When I see you aim, you have three seconds to fire the first round! Then, you must fire another within another three seconds! A miss is a fail, more than three centimeters apart is a fail. Aaaand... go!" she yelled, sprinting through her door and vaulting over the railing and rolling onto the first floor.
She was most certainly excited once again, despite her slight decline earlier. He mentioned the munny not being as rewarding, all while holding onto her hips, which made that statement hard to ignore. She was certain that it wasn't the case, he wanted the cash more than anything, but the fact that he was willing to put her above the money even in his lies was exhilarating. His touch did more her than he probably was aware. She would be awfully disappointed if he took the money and ran after this job they were doing, but even if he pretended to satisfy her in the process she would love nothing more. Oh, to think she may have a suitable master after all of this time. Even if he just wanted the munny in the end, as long as he performed, it just... wouldn't matter.

For a person who wanted to hire Nero as body guard, Cheri sure did act rather... Childish. Watching her act out what the boy would be doing, Nero couldn't say he didn't find it a nice mixture of weird and cute, she even caused him to chuckle a bit with her analogy. Cheri's display was entertaining, but Nero's enjoyment of it was no where near the girl's level. Really, Nero had yet to see the girl having so much fun, it was only made a little more odd that she was the who was causing the fun. As fast as the burst of excitement from the girl came, it left just as fast as Cheri agreed to start the test sooner rather than later. Although the sale of her product was three days away, Nero was excited to hear they would get the test over with. Nero already was pretty certain he'd pass the test easily, as he had years of practice when it came to shooting, he never had a doubt about that. No, Nero was just looking forward to the couple days of extra rest he'd be getting before his trip to Agrabah.
Nero would eagerly listen to the girl's instructions, nodding his head in understand until she got to one minor detail... She wanted him to shoot her palm?! Seriously? Nero shouldn't have been surprised, the girl had shown her love for being shot earlier, so it'd only make sense the she was the target. Still, Nero wasn't exactly for shooting Cheri and would at least try to get a word in. "Wait, What? I'm not exactly sure I'm very comfortable shooting yo-." Before he could finish, Cheri would spring into action, forcing Nero to comply to her odd training exercise. Sighing to himself and slapping his hand over his face, Nero would begin to count to fifteen in his head. "Well, you sure know how to pick them, Nero." The boy would mutter out loud to himself, looking around Cheri's room. With the fifteen second marker coming up quick, Nero looked back towards the window behind him and got an idea.
Pushing the window open, Nero reached down towards his dog and grabbed his rifle, then leaped out of the window, hanging off of the ledge. Nero had climbed before, too much in fact, but having to climb with only one hand and his legs available while one held his rifle, that a was a new one. Reaching up for edge for the roof, Nero made a leap for it, pushing off of his legs and barely grabbing on to the roof with his free hand. After a few seconds of teetering back and forth from his momentum, Nero straightened himself out and pulled himself up, letting up a deep breath. "Okay, hard parts over, now where are you Cheri?" Jogging up to the front of the roof, Nero would look down for girl, finally seeing the girl's bright hair, which looked like it could be spotted a few miles back, let alone from his position.
Taking a second to prep himself, Nero would take aim with his rifle for the center of the girls palm , which was being held up with her fingers extended. Before the three seconds Nero had to fire was up, the teen would fire his first shot, not entirely being able to see where it hit from his view, but he had no reason to think there was any reason it wouldn't have hit the spot he had aimed it for. Having only three seconds to fire his next shot, Nero would scowl after accidentally glancing over at Cheri once more. It wasn't the fact that he was firing at a human being that bugged, he was able to do that all the time without remorse, it was who he was firing at. He may not of have known Cheri very long, but she seemed nice enough in her own way. Insane, sure, but not someone Nero would actively gun down, especially after offering the boy money and a place to stay. Sucking up his feelings, Nero would take aim at the girl's palm once more.
Due to his unwillingness to fire at Cheri, this time Nero's aim would be a bit off, aiming more towards the bottom of the girl's palm, but still not far enough down to miss the palm completely. After firing the shot, Nero would simply shake his head and sigh. obviously, the boy could have shot his last shot as well as he did the first, but had screwed himself up. That wasn't the thing that was bothering Nero, he was more concerned with why he had to of screwed up when he had munny on the line. Tilting his head to the side and resting his rifle on his shoulder, Nero would look down at the girl and call out.
"How was that? Do we get the job?" While asking the question, Nero began to descend from the roof, dropping down to a gutter-pipe and sliding down it, landing on the ground with a stylish roll. "The climbing is thrown into the deal free of charge... Among other things.." Looking at the girl, Nero would attempt a smile, but then saw her hand and instantly scowled. ""You sure that this was the best way to check if I was right for the job? I mean, isn't the idea of shooting the person I'm supposed to be protecting, you know, kind of ironic?" Nero chuckled a bit while walking up to Cheri. He wasn't sure how he had done on the test, as he hadn't got a very good look at the girl's hand, just enough to see that he had in fact hit her, leaving him a bit nervous. After all, Nero had came in fully expecting to ace this thing, but he hadn't thought he'd even have a blemish. All the teen could do now was hope his shots were to Cheri's liking.

Right on cue, the boy made it to the roof, got into position and took aim. Oh man, here it comes a sweet release she's been expecting for a while now. For some reason, the pain was several times more satisfying if it was inflicted by someone else. She closed her eyes and trembled, almost forgetting to count but sure enough the sweet sound of gunfire made its way into her ears and the sensation of blood flow would soon be experienced. At the time of impact, her pelvic muscles flexed in reaction, implying she was having a great time.
Still, she kept her eyes closed and her hand in relatively the same spot, not forgetting that there was still more to come. Not much, but anything would be better than nothing at all. "Just... one more..." she muttered to herself. Of course, she'd want more after that, but she would accept what she's being given for now. Another shot fired, another impact, this one sensitive enough for her to let out a passionate moan. Well, the fun was over but it was certain great while it lasted. Cherika brought her arm down and finally opened her eyes, looking at the results. "Not bad... Not perfect, but not bad. Hmm." She considered what price to give this result. Obviously there was some discrepancy here, but it definitely passed.
She began trotting along and may her way back to her house, meeting the boy as he descended to the ground to discuss the results. While the boy passed, she was certain he would do much better, and wondered just what exactly was the reason. She was certain she indicated that the better he would do the more he would end up making, with ten thousand only being the bare minimum. Oh well. "Two and a half centimeters off, roughly. Better than bare minimum, but had you been a bit more careful you could've made so much more." Unfortunately, she had this idea to leave a dramatic pause between this statement and when she would actually say what his wage ended up being.
Even then, she'd rather answer his other question first. He was so... silly. He seemed like he was bright enough to figure it out by now, but somewhere the dots just weren't connecting. She wouldn't spell it out for him yet though, maybe another hint first. "I could say that I don't have anything else you could use as a consistent target really, but that would be a lame excuse for what was actually the case," she said, closing her eyes and tilting her head to the side, putting her right palm under her chin. Unfortunately, the fun couldn't last forever, and the business aspect of this would have to be brought up once more.
"Your pay in three days is twenty thousand." She dropped her arm back to her side and stood completely upright once more, her voice jumping from a playful and alluring tone back to her unamused matter-of-fact tone. "I'll give you a little bit up front now so you can find yourself something to eat." As much as she wouldn't mind cooking for him anymore, she did say that she wasn't going to feed him, and she wasn't completely hooked yet. There was still one thing that worried her. He seemed hesitant about making her feel pain. If this was how it was going to be all the time, she considered the fact that she may have to quit while she's ahead here. She hadn't lost hope yet, maybe if he gets it things would turn around, and just maybe he would be worth keeping for good. Seems her little test subject was becoming much more to her in just such a short period.

All in all, things had gone better than Nero had expected. With how bad his last shot was, he had expected to get the minimum ten thousand munny, perhaps even less, which would've still been fine with him. Hearing he'd be getting double the minimum, Nero was fine with the outcome, as twenty thousand munny was still far beyond what the teen would make from his previous jobs. Honestly, the thing that peaked his interest more than the amount of munny he would be getting paid in was what Cheri had said before telling him his payment. Nero had already guessed the girl had a thing for pain, but did it apply to others causing her pain? It would only seem logical that it would, but then why would she want him to watch her back during this deal? She'd only get turned on if the other party in the deal decided to load her full of lead, so why would she need Nero? Something like this wouldn't probably bother anyone else, as with the money she'd be paying them for a do-nothing job they'd have no reason to care, but Nero worked a bit differently. Despite his shallowness and lust for money, women and treasure, the boy had a pretty good head on his shoulders and wouldn't just shrug this off. Though, if this girl did like pain from any body, perhaps Nero would be able to exploit it.
Of course, he was more than happy with the amount of munny she'd agreed to pay him already, but seeing as Cheri seemed to have some sort of interest in the boy, maybe Nero could use that to sweeten his deal. It wouldn't be anything hostile or mean sprirted, Nero wouldn't do that to Cheri, she had been good to him thus far, just something to sweeten the deal. Besides, it's not like Nero would be able to hurt her with his bullets, so there really was no need for him to be so reluctant towards harming the girl. Still, it would be a little hard for the boy to warm up to it, as he had never really shot at anyone who was even enjoy his bullets, let alone getting some sort of pleasure from them. To be truthful, although this whole situation was extremely odd for the boy, he couldn't say he wasn't enjoying it in a weird way. Taking this body guard position the girl had offer seemed like an odd role for Nero to fill at first, but he had really begun to warm up to it. Obviously, he intended to go straight back to being a fortune hunter immediately after finishing Cheri's job, but the he did like the break from his not-so-favorite past time. Well, almost immediately, as he was expecting to do a really good job for the girl, meaning he would earn his special reward. Sure, it seemed a bit harsh to preform such a rude move on Cheri, but he was sure she'd get over it. Heck, if he was lucky, she might even want to kill him after the fact, joining Nero's rather large list of one-night stands.
With the mention of giving Nero funds for some food, the teen saw his moment to strike. It wasn't going to be anything too outlandish or inviting, just something to keep her interested in the boy. He'd simply nod in agreement to the girl's statement, but would shortly after place his hands on the girl's shoulders and shed a flirtatious smirk. "Well, that's one option we have, or..." leaving a pause in his sentence, Nero slid his hands down the girl's arm, stopping at the wrist of her bullet wounded palm. He'd attempt to lift it up in front of her before continuing. "We both get something to eat while your pretty hand heals, then come back here for a little more target practice. You know, just for fun. Releasing the girl's wrist Nero would back away from her, his eyes still locked on the girl.
This wasn't entirely what Nero wanted to do, as he hadn't found shooting Cheri fun in the slightest, but that wasn't why he did it. She seemed to enjoy it when he was shooting at her, which Nero saw as a way to earn more money. If the girl was willing to pay him twenty thousand munny for just being a body guard, what would she possibly pay to have Nero shoot at her? The only problem being he hadn't specifically requested to get payed for such activities, but even if he didn't get payed in munny, he had a feeling Cheri would pay him in some form. "So, what do you say, Cheri?" Upon asking his final question, Nero would have no idea what to expect from the girl. Would she see through his exploit and shut him down, or would she see him as legitimately offering this to her. Cheri seemed like she was smart enough to detect if Nero was full of it or not, but would she care? She'd still be getting what she wanted. The more Nero analyzed the situation, the more anticipation would swell up in the boy.

While initially she giggled a bit and turned a little red as the boy placed his arms on his shoulder while starting up a suggestion, leaving the girl to wonder what he could possibly be proposing. Except, her cute glance shifted to a death glare while her entire expression fell as the boy suggested they both get something to eat. How offensive. Even though he didn't know how particular the girl was about food, she was so passionate and stubborn at the same time that it boiled her blood every time such an 'irrational' topic was brought up. Just when she was starting to get real close.
She would give him a pass, as much as she wanted to chop his head off or something, she would have to accept that he was being sincere and somehow let him off easy. She took a step back from his grip. "Except, I never eat any food I haven't prepared myself unless I absolutely cannot help it. So, you will be going off on your own still. And, if I were you, I'd never bring up the topic of where to eat ever again unless you want me to see how fast you heal from knife and bullet wounds." Hoo boy. Apparently, that was letting the boy off easy. Her fists shook as she spoke, deeply containing the pressure within her to want to mutilate this guy.
Turning to the side, the girl reached into the other side of her skirt that wasn't her knife and pulled out a cell phone and a card, sliding the card into her other hand while flipping the phone open, pressing two buttons and bringing it to her ear. After a slight pause, someone answered. "Hey it's me. Some fish face is coming to make a withdrawal on my behalf. Yup. Five hundred exactly. ...Another comment like that and I'll feed you to my grasshopper--" there was a bit of a loud gasp that was certainly audible for more than just the girl after that remark, followed by some quick speech and the other person quieting back down. "Thanks, bye." With that, she hung up the phone, slipped it back on the inside of her skirt and turned to the boy again, holding out the card.
"There's a bank six blocks that way--" She pointed East, "to which you turn left and walk another two blocks. Big, eight-story building with pictures of moneybags. Walk past any lines you see, show them this card, you'll be directed to my teller. Poor bastard thinks I have a mutant man-eating grasshopper twice the size of him." Though, the way she spoke, it couldn't really be said either way whether or not that was actually true. It was implied that it wasn't of course, but with Cheri-chan... well, who knew?
Once the boy would take his card and be on his merry way, Cherika would step inside and begin preparing her own meal. Rolling her very own crab sushi! Of course, by the time he's gone out to get the money, grab food, and come back, the girl would most likely be done preparing and eating dinner, leaving her to work in her lab a little bit, making the house seem a bit... empty once the boy returned. She would stay hidden away until about midnight when she would retreat to her bed, disrobe fully laying clothes off to the side on the floor and hang her holster and other weapon catches on the post of her bed, sliding into the bottom bunk (or the top if it was occupied). She would also sleep on top of the blankets, while it's not that she was trying to be seductive, she had slept without covers for so long it was too weird not to at this point.

Nero would be lying if he said he expected that reaction. Honestly, he could have easily seen Cheri simply denying his request, but throwing in a threat, that just pissed Nero off. He wouldn't care less if she didn't want to eat with him or even want him to shoot at her more, as that was just him attempting to work her over anyhow, but threatening to cut or shoot him? That was almost enough to make the boy draw his gun, aim it at Cheri's head and hold down the trigger until his clip ran out. Almost enough. Nero was still even hanging around the girl for the money she was offering him, but he was starting to feel like it was just a tad more than the money he was sticking around for. OF course, he wasn't exactly sure what the reason was besides the money, but he did feel like something was there. Here the boy thought he and the girl were beyond their muttering out empty threats stage in their relationship, but then Cheri had to go and pull this out. As much as it irked Nero, Koji's reaction to this scenario was worse by a long shot. The dog had truly began to look forward to the girl's affectionate attitude towards him, as Nero treated him much more as a brother or friend than what he truly was, but she treated him more like a dog. Koji obviously preferred Nero's attitude towards him overall, but having that alternative once in a while was always welcomed.
Though, to be fair, the girl probably didn't expect him to hear it, as her back was to the dog as she made the threat to his partner. Letting out a hostile growl behind the girl, the dog would look ready to strike before seeing his master's hand raise up. "I wouldn't recommend that buddy, we don't know where this thing's been." Returning to his sour attitude from when he and Cheri first met, Nero would scowl and watch as the girl would call her bank, referring to Nero as fish-face. Cute, it seemed they really were back to square-one, but truthfully, Nero could care less. In fact, he'd almost want to thank the girl. In all the commotion, Nero had started to make the foolish mistake of starting to trust another human being, reminding him of his mentor's teachings not to get to close to anyone, including the teen's mentor himself. As the girl would hold out the bank card, Nero would put on a fake smile, grabbing the card. He'd examine it for a quick second, then quickly throw it to the ground and grind into the dirt with his sneaker. "I have enough money to cover me and my dog's expenses, just do me a favor and give me the payment in full after the job." Sure, this seemed a bit harsh, but Nero was not in a caring mood anymore. As like when he had first arrived to the Radiant Garden, his plan would shift back to the 'let's just get the hell out of here,' state it was in before, only now it seemed he would have to spend a few more awkward days with the girl. whistling for his dog, Nero would turn his back to the girl and began to walk towards the town. While passing the girl, Koji would shoot the girl a look of anger and confusion. Even after threatening his best friend, the dog didn't really want to be mean to the girl, finding it hard to even growl or bark at her.
Once at the town, Nero would run some simple errands, such as buying his dog a burger while purchasing a basket of fruit for himself and looking for a reliable gummiship pilot to take him to his destination after the three days had passed. Staying in town to eat instead of heading back towards Cheri's, Nero decided to take this opportunity to speak to his partner about their plans. After all, Nero was back to his complete distrust for the girl, he couldn't just continue his old plan, so his best course of action would be to talk it out with the only thing on this world he did trust. More and more time would pass by, but eventually the duo would come to an agreement. Nero would stay for the three days he had planned to and still do his best work for the girl, but that was it. He wouldn't make the extra time for the girl's special reward, he wouldn't even give the girl his real name or be anything other than strictly business towards her, as he felt that his flirtatious attitude with her before was nothing more than a mistake. It probably would make the next three days go by even slower and this whole ordeal become droning on the boy, but he had made up his mind. Looking at his watch, Nero would be a bit surprised to see that he had been gone for a good few hours, with the time on his watch being eleven forty-five in the evening. Tilting his head towards the direction the girl's house, Nero would signal for his dog to follow him there. As much as he didn't even want to stay with Cheri any more, Nero really had no other choice, as he had already agreed and really had no money for a hotel room. Well, he could have, had he not thrown the girl's bank card onto the ground, but he had to make a point to the girl.
Reaching the house a little after midnight, Nero looked at his dog and would pat him on his head. "Go ahead and get some sleep buddy, I'll be in a little bit. Just want a few more moments of fresh air before I hit the sack.... Or floor." With his dog leaving him alone and trotting up the stairs to Cheri's room, Nero would lean against the wall and claps his hand over his face. What was he doing here? Even with his plan all set-in-stone, he'd feel a bit...Dirty. He had done this kind of thing countless times before, so what was making this one any different? It just kept eating away at the at the teen, as he had no idea why he found it difficult to just screw this chick over and walk away, but he just couldn't. Taking a deep breathe and looking up towards the night sky, Nero's concentration would be
broken by a window on the top floor of Cheri's house. "That's.... Interesting..." Focusing more on the window, it seemed to be connect straight into the upstairs 'KEEP OUT' room, peaking Nero's curiosity. As tempting as it was to investigate the strange room, Nero couldn't. at least not at this moment in time. Considering that he and the girl seemed to be annoyed with each other at the moment, he figured testing the girl by breaking her one rule would be a very stupid decision on his part. Pulling out his note book, Nero would look at the window, trying to sketch what he could make out of it, but it was too dark for the boy to really see anything in it. Instead, Nero would draw a mutant-grasshoppers head poking out of the window with Cheri in it's mouth and chuckle to himself. He wasn't quite sure why, but he found he really enjoyed sketching Cheri. Perhaps it was the fact that the girl looked so cute and cartoon-like already or the fact that she was so animated, but Nero couldn't put his finger on it. Regardless, Nero closed his notebook and would begin to head into the house. Making his way upstairs, Nero would quietly open the door to Cheri's room and glance over at the way she was sleeping. Rolling his eyes, Nero rested his head on his dog's torso like before, only this time actually falling asleep. Maybe the next three day's would change the boy's mind about Cheri, but he highly doubted it.
