Amaya looked over at Arin when he retorted, stating that the worst the wizard could do was send Arin away. "Are you sure he won't turn you into a toad?" she teased. Of course, she knew that the worst would likely be Arin getting turned down for training rather than the latter. Still, she couldn't help but poke some fun at him for his obvious timid nature around the wizard. Yen Sid was a powerful being after all and one not to be contended with.
When Arin wordlessly patted her shoulder, Amaya guessed that was his way of saying that she was welcome. Either that or his way of stating that she didn't have to. Regardless, it was nice to know that she wasn't the only one fighting in all of this. It had been hard enough by herself searching endlessly. Only just now she finally went directly to someone that could help her. Unfortunately, the answer she got was the one that she dreaded the most. Still, she had a keyblade wielder for a friend. They just might survive this ordeal. What was to happen afterward though?
As the train finally came to a stop, there was the low, rumbling sound of a hungry stomach. Well, Amaya certainly didn't need Arin's verbal response after hearing that one. Never the less, she lt him speak. "Alright, then we'll grab a bite to eat." Amaya entered the train after Arin and sat across from him. As he questioned her about any specific place, she gave a shrug. "I don't mind where we eat. I know of a pizza joint my sister took me to once. If it's still there, I guess depending how hungry we are, we can order two pizzas!" she jested. Then again, Arin might actually be able to eat a whole pizza by himself. Amaya didn't really know but it was amusing, none the less.
The train took them all the way back into the center of Twilight Town. Stepping off and out of the train, Amaya motioned for Arin to follow her. "It's in the town square where that trolley goes around." With that, she took the lead bringing him through a street where some people even passed them along the way. No one would suspect this world ever had many problems with the way the locals here acted.

Arin glared at Amaya when she teased him about the prospect of becoming a toad, not amused by her teasing "…Don't even joke about something like that…" He watched as Amaya sat across from him and started talking about a pizza place that was in Twilight Town that her sister brought her to once, and even started joking about possibly getting two pizzas. Grinning, he couldn't help but play off of her joking "I thought you were planning on feeding both of us, Amaya~"
He waited for her response before chuckling quietly, watching as the mystical scenery around them changed back to the tracks leading back to twilight town with a flash of light. He followed Amaya out of the train station and let her lead him to the town square. He did remember a trolley in the town square, but only briefly when he was passing through the crack in the town's border that led to the old mansion. He decided to let Amaya take the lead, since he had no idea where he was going.

Amaya could see the look on Arin's face when she teased him about becoming a toad. As he told her to not joking about something like that, she let out a chuckle. "What? I hear becoming a toad isn't all that bad. At least you'll have a good excuse for croaking!" she laughed. She would end it there though with tormenting him for the time being. Still, it was amusing to her that he feared the wizard so much.
When the topic changed to getting some pizza, Amaya rose a brow when Arin asked her if she had been planning on feeding the both of them. "Oh, haha! Very funny, Arin." She looked slyly back over at him. "Just for that, you don't get a pizza!" Of course, she was only kidding. She wasn't going to actually make Arin starve. Even she knew the importance of keeping up one's strength.
Once they were back in Twilight Town, Amaya lead Arin the rest of the way. It hadn't changed much, Twilight Town. It was just the same as when Asami and she had last visited it. As they got into the main square, sure enough, there was the pizza joint. Walking over, Amaya waited in line as she looked over the menu. "What type of pizza do you like?" she asked Arin as they finally got to the front of the line.

"Oh haha, very funny." Arin rolled his eyes, Amaya certainly pulled off a perfectly timed pun. It was bad, but she definitely was quick on the draw when she used it. Then, she reacted the same way he did to her bad pun, which caused him to grin when she said he wasn't going to give him pizza "No pizza? But how will I fight on an empty stomach? You might very well kill me of starvation before anyone else gets the chance!"
He chuckled and followed Amaya to the pizza parlor, standing next to her while in the line. When she asked him what type of pizza he liked, he shrugged "I'm not too picky, but I'd probably have to go with an all meat pizza. It's been forever since I've had one…Well, it's felt like forever, anyway…It's really only been over a decade, according to some of the books in the old mansion."
That comment reminded him of his past experiences leading to his descent into darkness, and his eyes dulled for a bit, before he snapped out of his nostalgic trance to look at Amaya again "There's my request, but feel fee to get anything you want…Just no fish…I hate seafood on my pizza…"

Amaya gave a chuckle when Arin reacted to her comment about the croaking. She knew it was bad but eh, no need to be so serious all the time. Amaya was at least calming down enough and not being as aggressive as she had been when they first met. As Arin reacted to her comment about him not getting any pizza, she smirked. "Should have thought about that before you said that!" Amaya retorted.
When it came time to order the pizza, Amaya looked over at Arin as he stated an all meat pizza sounded good. "Okay, half meat and half with mushrooms. Luckily for you, I hate seafood too." With that settled, Amaya ordered a large pizza. It wasn't as large as she was accustomed to but it was big enough for Arin and herself. Unless Arin was more hungry than she had thought. Putting down the munny for it, Amaya motioned for Arin to follow as she lead him to a side sitting area that the place had. Placing the pizza on the table, she sat on one bench facing the table. There were napkins already there so there was no need to get any.
"It's been a while since I last had pizza, myself. Granted, not nearly as long as you." Amaya refrained from teasing him about the fact he could be an old man for all they knew. No, reminding him of that might not be good. Teasing could only go so far.

"Yeah, I doubt you would willingly go without tasty food for more than a decade." He had to admit, Amaya's comment about how long it's been since he could enjoy life was a bit hurtful, but the tone she said it in clearly showed she didn't mean it. Shrugging off the comment, he picked up a meat covered slice and took a bite, savoring the mixtures of sauce, cheese, and the assortment of different meat toppings "Thank you for the food."

Amaya hadn't meant to be hurtful then. She had merely stated that she couldn't compare to the length of time it had been since either of them last had pizza. "I'm sorry," Amaya said in response to what Arin had said about the whole decade thing. She didn't mean to remind him. She'll have to be careful to watch what she said about that next time.
Picking up a slice of her own half with the mushrooms, Amaya bit into it. It was just as delicious as she had remembered it. Of course, this certainly wasn't a food she was inclined to eat every day. Her grandmother would chastise her over it if she did since pizza could be fattening. A warrior always had to be in tip top shape! At least, that was always her grandmother's motto. She really drove Asami and Amaya hard back in the day but they were better off because of it. Regardless of how firm her grandmother was, Amaya loved her all the same. She hated the thought of going back home to tell her that she had to kill her sister and friends. What would she think? Would she hate Amaya for it?
Amaya was pulled out of her thoughts by the sound of Arin's voice. Focusing on him, she realized that he was thanking her for the food. "You needn't thank me. It's the least I could do for the help you've given me and are giving me." Amaya enjoyed the peace and quiet while they ate. It was different than constantly worrying about being hunted. At least for now, she was able to enjoy the company of someone other than herself. She wouldn't be fighting alone anymore. Speaking of which, they hardly knew each other. Surely, there were questions he might have had?
"So...You've probably told me more about yourself than I had about myself. Is there anything you wanted to know?" Amaya questioned him as a means of just opening a bit of conversation. It might be easier to trust someone if one knew the other a bit more.

Arin took another bite while Amaya dismissed his gratitude, chuckling softly "I was raised to use my manners whenever necessary, can't blame me for feeling like thanking you." He was halfway finished with his slice when Amaya started asking him if he had any questions about her. Now that he thought about it, he was practically spilling Amaya his life story, but never really heard much about her own "…Well, the whole Dragoon warrior thing is new to me. What exactly are they, and how did you get your armor?"

Amaya gave a shrug in response to what Arin said. She couldn't punish him for minding his manners. "No offense but I've not met many that mind their manners. You're one of the rare few. Congratulations!" she said with a bit of a laugh. Then, they went into conversation with Amaya starting it by asking him if there was anything that Arin wanted to know about her. She knew more about him than he did her. The least she could do was give what answers he might want to questions she had likely caused.
When Arin brought up the subject of the Dragoon Warriors, she sat back in her seat. "Their story goes way back. Back during the time of the Keyblade War. Dragoon Warriors were united in place of keyblade warriors when they had nearly become extinct. Sure, they were considered normal warriors compared to Keyblade warriors but hey, they protected those that needed protection. The first ones, it's said their armor was created by their first leader whom was said to have had dragon's blood in their veins. The armors came to life because of it, at least, the ones my sister and friends wear. Mine, on the other hand, is different. There's no story about it's creation except that it's thought that the black armor was created by one of the deceased Dragoon warriors of the past by their sheer willpower and lives in the armor...I know, weird huh?" She shuffled a bit after biting into her own piece of pizza and considering his question about how they got their armor.
"I originally hoped to get my sister's armor. Back then, her armor was my grandmother's. My grandma was a former Dragoon Warrior. One of the last five before my generation came along and took up the reigns. I'm not sure what my sister's armor liked about her, since our ways of obtaining them are different." Now, how had she gotten her's?
"Mine spoke to me when I found it. It asked me a series of questions, judging my character. It had to have liked my answers for it to allow me to wear it and call upon it whenever I need it."

"Arin listened to Amaya tell him about the history of the dragoon warriors, and how they dated back to before he was even born "Yeah, definitely weird, especially since I haven't heard much about it given the time period I grew up in."
Then, she mentioned originally wanting her sister's armor, and her finding the black armor and how it asked her a bunch of questions that judged her character. This, added to How Amaya's sister supposedly obtaining her armor differently, was curious to Arin, and he had a new theory "Wait, back up a bit. You said you got your armor differently from your sister's, but you didn't tell me about how your sister obtained hers. If your armor tested your character, how did your sister get the white armor?"

Amaya looked over at him and thought about it. "Well, my grandmother was part of the generation before mine. So even you would not have heard of them since they had been retired during that time. Of course, you are correct in that not everyone has heard of them. They can only reach so many worlds at a time, after all. Mostly, their deeds were behind the scenes, disposing of darkness where they found trouble afoot."
When Arin told her to back up and explain how her sister got the white armor, Amaya gave a shrug. "The armors all gravitate towards something in a person's character. At least, the normal ones do. Asami never told me how she got her's. I can assume though that she got her's because of her already being of the natural born leader sort. The white armor has always chosen those types. My grandmother would probably be the best one to ask those kind of questions."

Arin was thinking while listening to Amaya explain the system of how the dragoon armors choose its owners, trying to piece together how Amaya's armor could be different in how it chose her. When she mentioned her grandmother would be the best one to find out more about the armors, that was what clinched it.
He tapped his chin while chewing on the crust of the pizza, looking down at the table surface "…Amaya…When was the last time you spoke with your grandmother?"

Amaya could see that Arin was lost in thought as she had answered the questions he had asked of her. She didn't realize what she said about her grandmother would probably spark curiosity in Arin enough for him to question her about when she spoke to her grandmother last.
"I'm...not too proud to say this but...not since what happened with Asami and the others." Honestly, Amaya was struggling to resolve the issue before her grandmother found out. She didn't want to disappoint Ai or her grandfather. She didn't want them to know what she had to do. How can you tell your family that you have to put a family member out of their misery by killing them? Amaya worried that they would hate her for it and treat her like a murderer.
"It's been...almost a year now." Amaya rubbed the back of her head then after she had wiped it free of sauce from the pizza beforehand.
"I didn't want for my grandparents to find out about Asami and the others yet until...you know..."

Arin instantly went on the offensive as soon as Amaya started saying she hadn't spoken to them since the incident with the other dragoon warriors, nor did she want to worry her grandparents "And how do you think they would feel if they found out firsthand? Your sister and your comrades are corrupted by darkness, Amaya, I think your grandparents, the one's who practically put you in the armor to begin with, would want to know if something happened!"
Arin was trying hard to restrain himself, he didn't want to cause a scene in the middle of a public place, but he had to get his point across "If I were in your situation, I would have gone straight to someone I knew I could trust, someone who would understand and help me work out my feelings. I'm all alone in this universe, so I take the brunt of everything I have to deal with on my own shoulders because I have no other choice. You still have people who are willing to support you through your harshest times, you still have that choice. So stop trying to think that telling them after the fact won't make a difference, because I sure as hell know this is a big enough deal to tell your predecessor -no- your grandmother, that you have to do something so painful."
He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down before he said something he might regret "…If you don't tell her now…Telling her after killing your sister and comrades may very well devastate both of you…Because you never gave her time to prepare for it…And it could drive a wall between you two that you may never be able to tear down…"

The change that came over Arin made Amaya's eyes widen in surprise. She stiffened her back as she looked back at the keyblade wielder with obvious surprise. She hadn't expected that sort of outburst from him. Then again, she didn't expect him to side with her on that decision of her's either. Ai, although she was Amaya's grandmother, was very strict. Amaya suspected that her grandmother would want her to try to resolve the problem on her own first. That was another reason why she hadn't told Ai yet about what happened to Asami and the others.
As Arin went on, Amaya couldn't help but frown over at him. "You don't know my grandmother, Arin. She's a very strict woman. The first thing she would have wanted me to do was try to solve the problem on my own first. Which is what I've been busy doing most of this year by myself up until now." She supposed that didn't justify it in Arin's eyes. He looked pretty livid. Amaya let out a sigh of exasperation as she looked away while he went on about how she should tell her grandparents.
"You say it like it's easy...I've been avoiding it because I wasn't ready to tell them." Ai didn't make such confessions an easy one. She was severe, despite loving her grand daughters. Amaya wasn't sure how Ai would take it, especially when she had taken Amaya and Asami in when they were little when their parents died.
"And prepare? I don't think anyone can prepare for that kind of thing..." Amaya trailed off with a loud sigh. Arin would likely only get angrier with her the more the subject was discussed. She understood his viewpoint but she hadn't been ready to tell her grandparents anything. The thought of going back home frightened her only because she had been gone for so long and that she had terrible news to tell. How were her grandparents going to take it? That's what Amaya dreaded the most. She had a feeling Ai would refuse to listen and insist there was another way. There really was no other way.
"Fine, fine...I'll tell them. Happy now?" Amaya stated finally. "Unfortunately, that means we'll have to take a detour to my homeworld."

Arin wasn't pleased with Amaya's answer. He knew every family was different, but he also knew that family members that were strict, most times than not did it out of love "And what if things don't go in our favor, Amaya? Would you rather risk your sister approaching your grandmother with your blood still on her hands, wondering what has happened to her? And after a year of no contact? I'm sure she's wondering what's been happening to warrant such a lapse in time without visiting her."
He was relieved to hear that she agreed to tell her grandparents, albeit reluctantly. That was enough for him. Keeping a straight face, he nodded in agreement. "Thank you. Believe me, I'm sure that if you waited until the end, you'd probably regret it…Hell, worst case scenario, you may not have been able to tell her at all."

Amaya kept her gaze fixed on the ground nearby. For some reason it had suddenly become interesting. When Arin questioned her about the what ifs pertaining to what they were going to do, Amaya let out a sigh. She supposed time meant more to Arin than it did to herself. He had missed ten years of his life thanks to what had happened to him. It was a bad idea to have admitted the truth to him about not telling her grandmother about what happened.
When Amaya had finally relented, saying that she would pay them a visit, Arin seemed pleased with that answer. She was really reluctant about the whole idea. Yet, if she refused she had a feeling Arin would nag her to death. Funny how that was considering she had been the one nagging at him from the start. It seemed their roles changed a bit.
"...I guess you're right." Amaya hated to admit it but what Arin said was true. She'd hate herself if she never got to tell her grandparents anything.

Arin saw the signs of resignation in Amaya's face and voice, and he was actually starting to feel guilty about it now. Rubbing his neck softly, he sighed "…Sorry…After everything I went through…I guess I just couldn't keep my own anger bottled up anymore…" He lifted his gaze up to the sk, squinting his eyes slightly to shield them from the sun's rays "…I just don't want anyone else to suffer the same fate I've come to accept…To live in solitude…no family to turn to…That's a burden I want to shield the worlds from…"

Amaya looked over at Arin as he apologized, stating that after what he had gone through that he couldn't keep himself in check after hearing all of that. "No, it's my fault. I shouldn't have told you. You wouldn't have had reason to get so riled up if I hadn't." Then again, was keeping things a secret really all that much better? No, it was inevitable.
As Arin took a moment to peer skyward, Amaya kept her gaze focused on the ground nearby. She was troubled with her own thoughts. Which way was actually the right way? Would seeing her grandmother really do much of anything? No, she knew that she would have to tell her grandparents. Already, it had been almost a year. It was high time that she returned. Her grandparents were likely worried, as Arin had mentioned. Still, she didn't like this whole thing. It was not going to be an easy trip for Amaya.
When Arin spoke next, she felt some pity toward him. "You know you can't prevent that for everyone, Arin. There's only one of you."

Arin sighed and scratched his head as Amaya pointed out the flaw in his futile goal "Yeah…I know…Can't blame a guy for dreaming though, right?" Clearing his throat, he picked up another slice of pizza and started eating away at it "Let's finish this pizza before it gets cold."
As he looked over and got a good look at Amaya, he could tell she was really deep in thought. She was probably still debating in her mind which decision was the right one to make. Honestly, he couldn't see any other choice but for her to return home and speak with her grandmother. From what he could tell, this would probably take a lot of preparation on her part, she didn't seem quite ready to return yet. Maybe a distraction in town would prove for a good distraction
"What do you say we explore for a bit, before we have to go straight to your home world? Have you been to the abandoned mansion outside of town before?"
