(OOC: Alrighty! No problemo. Was wondering how far you wanted it to go and that remark of his just killed me xDDDD)
Amaya's face turned a bright shade of red when Arin made his remark about the sudden hug. She hadn't anything perverse in mind when she had done it. She had just been glad to have found that he was still alive and not obliterated or something terrible. "I-I d-didn't mean it like that!" she retorted, embarrassed. Well, it certainly was Amaya's turn to be caught off guard apparently. Oh well, at least he was alive.
Eager to change the subject, Amaya turned their attention back onto the Heartless. Arin stated that he would take care of the Angel Stars while she took out the invisible and the swordsman that were left. With a nod, Amaya charged the swordsman Heartless since it was the only one in her sight. She hoped that the invisible thing would focus on her rather than at Arin. He moved very swiftly though so she guessed that she didn't have to worry too much about him. Was it her or did he suddenly gain a huge amount of power since they last fought?
Amaya made to glance upward at him but the swordsman she had charged retaliated when she made to strike. The two clashed their weapons together. Frowning Amaya shoved at her scythe, forcing the blades apart before leaping backward and sending out a series of energy slashes at it. The Heartless was skilled. They had managed to either avoid or block some of the attacks. However, Amaya's attacks had still gotten through. It didn't give the swordsman much time to fend for itself before Amaya was upon it again. Weakened, it couldn't move fast enough and Amaya cleaved it in two. She watched as it was dispersed in smoke. Granted, the Heartless would return since she wasn't a keyblade wielder but that would set it back for a time.
'Now...to figure out where that blasted Heartless is!' Amaya thought, scrutinizing the immediate area. She had found it odd that it hadn't tried to strike her while she had been fighting its comrade. Maybe it couldn't while they had been fighting? She had been rather close to the Swordsman at the time. Maybe it thought it would accidentally hit its ally? She knew it was a demon looking type of Heartless. It had to have shrunk into the shadows somewhere.
'How am I suppose to find it?' Amaya wondered. Then, she saw it. It was subtle and was there for only an instant but Amaya was certain that she had seen the flick of what looked to be a spaded tail. 'Aha, found you!' Amaya thought.
Allowing the Heartless to think that she wasn't aware of it, Amaya acted like she was still looking around, still and poised. Above, she could hear how Arin was handling the battle. Hearing clashing and the like, she guessed he was alright. Then, the Invisible decided to strike. Their type were known for making fleeting attacks. Amaya was ready for it too. Iornically, she lashed out her armor's tail as it tried to spear her on the end of its own. The two clashed for a moment before finally, Amaya gained the upper hand. Before long, the thing was dead. Well, dispersed. She hadn't saved the heart within since she wasn't a keyblade wielder but she sent it away for a time.
"Whew, finally!" Amaya stated. "That would've been painful to handle alone."

((Well, I was referring to a Soldier Heartless that was able to literally turn invisible, in addition to the sword wielding Invisible but whatever xD))
Arin didn't waste time with his attacks. His dark flare was weakening the already weakened Heartless, but he was having in for the kill. His footwork was much quicker, and he leapt up at the Angel Star, seemingly without any regard for his safety. The Wings of the Heartless began to close again, but Arin was too quick for it, stabbing his sword in the joint of one wing set, and forcing the wing open to expose its vulnerable body "You're through!"
His keyblade in hand, he began swinging wildly at the exposed Heartless, until it finally took its limit of damage, and it vanished in a mass of black smoke, its heart rising up as it was released from its living prison of darkness.
Arin landed with a thud after that, looking around the library to see if there were anymore threats "Is that the last of them?"

(OOC: Forgive this dragon, she is tired xD)
Amaya looked around the library as Arin had landed and questioned her if that had been the last of them. "I would like to think that had been..." Amaya trailed off as she looked around. She remained poised, ready for anything before finally, she let herself ease down. It looked like they had finished what was left of that ambush. She didn't see any other known threat in their immediate area. Not from what she could see.
"It looks like we're good." Amaya then turned toward Arin. She could see a change had come over him but she wasn't sure what to make of it. He still seemed somewhat like himself. He hadn't attacked her, that was for sure. Amaya didn't think that she would be able to withstand a fight against Arin. Hopefully, things would never come to that. Keyblade wielders were said to be able to withstand most corrupt powers with their powerful hearts. Yet, something wasn't right about him either. His appearance had changed and she had yet to see his face since he was still turned away from her.
"Just what had happened back there? You disappeared out of the blue!"

Arin was silent for a while, before recalling the blade of his sword, and his keyblade. Turning to face his armored friend, Amaya would be able to see the gold ring of his irises looking at her before his body flashed and his hair and eyes shifted back to the way they were before his change. The sudden recovery of balance in his heart made his body weak, and he dropped down to one knee, before pushing himself back to sit on the dusty floor
"…Nobodies…Probably the same time that these Heartless showed up." Amaya would immediately notice that Arin wasn't talking with a dark growl in his voice anymore, and his voice was softer as well, as if whatever was afflicting him had suddenly vanished.
"That light in the basement…I think it's a portal to some alternate version of this world…A world closer to darkness than I had been for a long time…"

Arin had gone rather quite for a while. At first, Amaya had thought there was something wrong. She watched as he sent his keyblade away. As he turned to face her, Amaya's eyebrows rose as she saw that Arin's appearance had changed more than she had thought. Where it was Arin, his eyes had changed in color in the irises and his hair had changed to dark because of it too. Then, just as briefly as she had seen Arin in this state, he returned back to normal in a flash...quite literally. The change seemed to have affected him though as he dropped to one knee and then sat on the dusty floor.
"Arin...are you alright?" Amaya questioned him, concern on her face.
Arin answered her question about what had happened back there. He had encountered Nobodies probably around the same time that she had encountered the Heartless. His voice sounded normal again. After saying that, Arin mentioned that the light in the basement, he believed had to be a portal to an alternate version of Twilight Town. According to him, it was a world closer to the darkness. It had been a while since he had been near anything like it.
"...Well, at least you're alright now..."

Arin chuckled when Amaya said he was alright now, letting his body slump down to lay on his back and look at the ceiling "I'll never be alright until I learn how to control the power I have, and keep from losing balance when I let the light and darkness in me loose."
He kept resting for a while longer, staring at the ceiling for a bit, and thinking back to when he went into that other Twilight Town "…There's more to this mansion to see though, if you're still up to it. I was exploring that other world, and found a new area past the computer room with another door to go through."

Amaya looked at Arin as he let out a chuckle when she had asked him if he was alright. According to him, he wouldn't be alright until he got control over his powers. Maybe he was going to have a difficult time when she fought the other Dragoon Warriors? Would it be wise to put him through that? Still, Yen Sid had put out a task for him to partake in.
"Well, looks like we'd better find the others soon then...so you can train with Yen Sid."
Arin seemed intent to rest there so she let him. They weren't in any immediate danger now that the Heartless were gone. Still, those had been pretty powerful Heartless that came through here. Was there something causing it? "Wouldn't going there cause you to lose that balance again? Also, don't you think those were a bit too powerful of Heartless types to just appear here out of the blue?" Amaya questioned him.
"I don't want to go in there if it wears you down like that or causes you harm in some way." She turned to him then as she waited for a response. "If you feel that we can, then we could...I'd rather not go though if it's harmful for you."

Arin finally sat up and got to his feet, walking back towards the stairs as he addressed Amaya's concerns about his health "I had to fight them the last time I came here, so I didn't really think so." As he made it to the top of the stairs, he looked back at Amaya, smiling reassuringly "As long as we don't go into that portal leading to the other world, I think I'll be fine. If it's anything like the real deal, there should be a safe version in this world that we can explore without it affecting me."
He started back down the stairs, taking his time as he was still trying to get himself back to a full recovery "If the room isn't in this world, then we can just leave, and head to your world." He knew that mentioning Amaya's world would likely remind her of what was coming after they were done exploring, but it was going to happen eventually, so he might as well try and ease her into the idea, so she was at least comfortable enough not to freak out the moment they reached her grandmother's home.

Arin got up slowly, eventually getting to his feet. He started to walk towards the stairs, answering her questions about the Heartless. He had fought them last time so he wasn't too concerned about them. He didn't think it was anything different. Well, maybe here those types were normal? Careful to not get left behind, Amaya followed Arin's lead. He had made it to the top of the stairs before peering back at her with what looked to be a smile of reassurance. So long as they didn't travel through that parallel dimension of this world, he would be fine. He believed that there was a door somewhere leading off from here in this world too.
"Alright then, if you say so."
With that, Arin took the lead going down the stairs again. Amaya followed him close behind. He was rather slow at it. It was understandable though. Arin had said that his shifts between the balances in his heart and powers took a lot out of him. She hoped that he wasn't about to fall as she followed him down. If he did, she made sure that she was close enough to catch him at a moment's notice.
Amaya was reminded then about her homeworld. She bit her lip a bit. She had been distracted the entire time they had come here. How were things going to go? "...Alright..." she agreed. Even if Arin eased her into the idea, Amaya had a feeling she'd try to turn tail and run the minute she saw her grandmother. Ai would likely chew her out for being gone for so long. Arin had no idea how tough her grandmother really was.

After some time of easing his way down the stairs, Arin finally led Amaya back into the computer room. Looking around, he finally noticed the door that he walked through in the alternate Twilight Town, pointing it out "There! That's the door I saw in the other Twilight Town."
Whether or not Amaya took the lead at this point wasn't too important to him, as he already made it as far as the next room. When Amaya saw the room, she wouldn't see anything special about it, and Arin pointed to the back left corner from where they walked in "See that corner there, the other Twilight Town had a strange portal that was producing a lot of darkness, like it led to a dark world…The closer I got to it, the more I just felt, empty, like there was nothing in that world that truly existed…"
Shrugging off the memories from before, he walked into the center of the room, looking around at the spacious room with some interest "But this room, I don't feel any of that, in fact, this could be a nice place to come back to, after we've both gotten stronger…Just for a friendly sparring match."
He looked over at the mysterious door, and started walking over towards it "And there's the door I was talking about, ready to see what's behind it?"

Amaya headed down the steps. Once they were down there, she wandered a little ahead but not by much when Arin pointed out the door. She was careful to stay near enough to Arin in the event that anything tried to take advantage of the situation if whatever it was sensed Arin's exhaustion.
As soon as they entered the room, she looked around. It looked like just a plain room. There didn't appear to be anything out of the ordinary. Arin indicated a corner of the room and she turned toward it as he spoke of how he felt. There had been some sort of portal leading to somewhere. Wherever it lead to, it had made Arin feel empty as if nothing existed on the other end.
"Doesn't look like anything's here, really..." Amaya trailed off as she looked around.
Arin took in the entire room. It was pretty huge now that she looked at it. As he spoke, she rose a brow. "And end up getting my head handed to me?" she mused. "Well, we'll see then, won't we?"
Now, it was time to go through the door. As Arin pointed it out and asked if she was ready, Amaya gave a nod as she walked toward it. She had let her armor disperse from whence she summoned it and returned to her normal looking self. Walking right up to it, she grabbed hold of what would open the door and opened it. "...Hmmm" she stated as she took in the sight ahead of them, entering so that Arin could come in to look around and not have to peer over her shoulder.
"Whoever owned this place had quite a lot of secrets."

Arin followed Amaya into the next room, specifically a small curved hallway with a bunch of pods. He couldn't believe what he was seeing; these pods looked big enough to hold a fully grown person "…You're not kidding there…"
As they walked further into the hallway, he noticed two of the post near the next door at the end of the hall were opened, like something held in there was released, but the dust free environment didn't show how long ago it was since it got out "…This…Is some creepy shit…"
He opened the door leading to the next room, and was even more caught off guard. The room was all white, almost void like with how it showed almost no contours of the walls surrounding the room. And at the very center, was a giant pod with a flower pedal like design. Arin walked cautiously into the room, staring in awe at the large pod "…Just what were they doing down here?"

The room they opened up lead into what looked to be a curved hallway of sorts. In it, there were white pods that looked as if they could hold something human sized within them. Considering how technical the place looked, Amaya wouldn't be surprised if some sort of secret scientific experiments took place here. As they went, she could hear Arin, agreeing to what she had said about secrets here.
There was another door on the other end. Before they reached it, however, there were two pods open as if something had come out of them. There was no telling when whatever had been in the pods had come out. Amaya looked over at Arin when he said that it was creepy. "Best to be on the look out in case whatever left those pods is still here."
Arin dared to open the door first that they came upon. When he did, Amaya furrowed her brows as she entered the room after him. It was a large, vast room like before. However, this one seemed like a white, endless void almost because of how white it was. It was flawlessly white and seamless practically. In the very center of the room was one of those pods but a large one. It opened up like a large flower. As Arin spoke, Amaya gave a shrug.
"Beats me...although, admittedly, that flower pod is rather pretty." Amaya walked over to it, examining the design closer. Just how had they been able to create such a thing?
"Well, this place is certainly interesting. Too bad we won't know whatever happened here."

As Amaya commented on the pod's appearance, he shrugged. It did have a certain appeal to it, though the fact it was open was a bit unsettling, especially since it was much larger than the other pods "I guess."
Trying not to think too much about what could have come from the pods, considering every room they've walked through was empty, he listened to Amaya mention that they'd never know what really happened in this futuristic part of the old mansion "I guess you're right Amaya, though it's definitely something worth wondering about."
He turned back toward Amaya and walked back over to her "I guess we've reached the deepest part of this basement…" He left the statement open-ended, hopefully to see if Amaya was willing to admit it was time to go without having to remind her. Truthfully, he had no clue what Amaya's grandma was like, but she couldn't have been that bad, but there was only one real way to find out.

Amaya knew that this pod had been larger in appearance. Never the less, she couldn't help admiring the design of it. As she wandered over to it, she gently slid a hand on its surface. It was smooth and hard. She had almost half expected it to feel just like a flower.
When she mentioned that they may never know what happened here, she heard Arin state it was worth wondering about. "Yes...but then again, it's sometimes best to never know."
As Arin turned toward her and walked over to her, she heard him speak. They had reached as far as they could go here in the mansion. The basement had been the deepest part and the most mysterious. "Do you still want to return and spar here one day after seeing this?" she asked him with an amused smirk. Arin seemed more wary of the place than she did.
As Arin stood there, she realized how quiet it was getting. Had he hinted at something? No doubt, he was implying it was time for them to leave. Amaya let out a sigh. Regardless, she wasn't prepared at all to see her grandmother and grandfather. "Just be aware my grandmother is not the easiest of people to talk to. Since you're...company...she will likely bombard you with er...questions...questions that might be...too much."
With that, Amaya extended a hand out to Arin. "Ready to go?"
Once he grabbed her hand, they'd be whisked away to her homeworld.

Arin looked around and grinned when Amaya when she tested him about the mansion. Was she seriously trying to get him to admit he was wary of the place? "I think I'll be fine. I'll have been trained by Master Yen Sid after all."
Thankfully, Arin's hopes that Amaya would be the one to bring up the topic of having to return to her home world instead of him constantly pushing her to do it. Apparently, her grandmother was likely going to ask him a bunch of question because he was company. Though for some reason, he felt that Amaya was hesitant to say that term in place of another one. He was half amused by her nervousness, but when she asked if he was ready to go, he didn't hesitate to take her hand.
"Let's go see your Grandma." And with that, They were whisked away to Amaya's home world.
