Well, that was was news she wasn't interested in hearing. Pfft, the crackpot couldn't die? She'd believe it when she sees it. It was a good thing Arin didn't have any objections to the next set of actions, making life easier on a level she'd have to make sure to appreciate later. He was off, but the sparks between JessY and this crazy dude were only just beginning to fly. Except literally; lightning was cracking down and this would not be a good time if she got hit. Fortunately, she took two years of physics in high school.
Making a needle-thin rod, the size only being the case to allow faster solidification, JessY jammed the base into the ground and extended the tip pretty high, putting a tripod stance at the bottom to support it. It only take a couple seconds to make completely solid, allowing her to let go. She would be unable to cascade but she only planned on using her swords anyway. Any lightning, assuming magical lightning followed the same rules as physical lightning, near her would direct itself at the make-shift lightning rod and safely pulse the ground as opposed to her. As for the nearby strikes sending debris everywhere... She would cross that bridge if she ever had to.
"If you can't die, then I have a hairy nutsack. In death, it's never a matter of 'if', but always 'when'." As she spoke the last part of her sentence, the mage went down for the count. Well.. that was unexpected. Looking back at her lightning rod, she felt silly. Well, this made things ten times easier, even if they were already impossible. The crazed mad man didn't need to be awake for his lightning storm to kill them. "Change of plans... again!" JessY hollered out. The lightning rod dissipated, but the girl threw her arm out and extended a thread of energy that, because it was thin like the lightning rod, reached her target super fast: the door. The thread expanded claws and latched onto the door any way it possibly could, and launch!
With a grip on a handle on her end, JessY made the energy shrink at a fixed, rapid rate toward the door, causing her to grapple all the way. "Bend your knees and get ready for a lift!" She would angle herself to pass by Arin and Prythian, scooping them up into an egg shell chair she quickly whipped up to safely glide them along the ground to the door. Kicking it open, she wasted no time dashing inside, dissipating the chair at a rather opportune moment that might cause Arin to slam his butt on the ground if he didn't get up quick enough. Then again, if none of them were quick, the lightning was definitely going to catch up and fry them so... there was that. JessY's quick thinking and flexible energy probably saved them the joy of getting thoroughly electrocuted, but barely. She would be breathing heavily on the other side of that door, regardless of whatever awaited them.

With Prythian hoisted over his shoulder, he started sprinting towards the now visible door, avoiding the stray lightning bolts that didn't reach the lightning rod JessY produced. Things were getting crazy, and he even had to duck down and summon up his light barrier to protect himself and Prythian from one bolt that was too close, letting the electricity carry right over them through the barrier.
Once the sparks were gone, he dropped his barrier and hauled ass, the door almost within reach. But then, he heard JessY calling at them from behind, and Arin barely had enough time to brace for impact, JessY grabbing onto him and dragging both of them to the door, and crashing into it with great force.
And there they were, back in the blinding white halls of the castle, no memories affecting them, and the stairway within sight. Arin watched the door shut behind them and sighed heavily, his body hunching forward and propped up by his hands on his knees, panting hard from overexertion.
"...Jeesus...That guy...Was insane..."

With the impact, Prythian's body slipped out of Arin's grasp once they were through the door, sliding across the floor. He slowed to a stop, face up, still completely limp and unconscious. "Stars... trapped... broken..." His face twitched into a tense look, as if he were having a nightmare. "Sword... death... trapped..." He continued on in that vein under his breath, not making much sense. His skin, if anyone touched it, would no longer be cool to the touch, but warm, very warm, as if he were running a fever.

They were in! What a relief. After regaining her composure the girl sighed pretty heavily and straightened her hair with her hand. She really needed to learn how to tie it back and actually get something that she could use to tie it in place. A small ring of energy would seem obvious, but the lack of friction would make it hardly an ideal solution. Regardless, her hair wasn't truly the issue here. Looking back over to Prythian, she shuddered a bit once he started mumbling more. What kind of mess did JessY walk into this time?
"No kidding on the insane bit. He could possibly be more insane than me, and that's saying something." She would pause for a bit after she finished her sentence to look at Arin, though would simply assume that he wouldn't have the most enthusiastic of replies. She would just have to sneak in an extra comment to prevent the boy from taking her too seriously. Or, would he be at this point? "...You think I'm kidding. Anyway, sleepy beauty here used the word 'trapped' twice along with some generic objects and from my understanding what he used to be - a sword. Something tells me he's fighting a tough battle on his own in there. So, I say we desperately hope that the next room is either what we're looking for or at least something else that isn't more progressively difficult." She started walking over to Prythian with the intention of picking him up even going so far as to bend over, but she stopped.
As much of a bitch as the girl can be, she likes to think that she isn't unreasonable. "Hey uh, do you want to sit and rest for a sec before we go? I'm fine with not going right away if it's what you need, but we can't sit too long," she said, looking back down at Prythian. If he was good to go, she would hoist the construct boy up and make her way up the stairs with Arin hopefully trailing right behind her, otherwise she would just sit down next to him and pat him on the shoulder as a gesture of good faith. Either way, she would notice him temperature, but not say anything right away. Not to hide it, but to not raise urgency where none was needed (yet). It all depended on where they ended up next. If they decided to sit for a minute, one Arin was ready, she would be right behind him.

Arin looked at JessY after commenting about being almost equally insane as the mage from the previous floor "Really? I hadn't noticed..." Sure enough, the girl had something quick to respond with, but he shrugged it off. He's dealt with crazy people, nice people, homicidal, overconfident, he's dealt with plenty to tell if someone's joking or being serious.
As JessY pointed out the option of staying and resting here for a moment, he looked at the stairs and thought it over. At the rate things were going, the next floor was likely going to be one meant for him. But at their current pace, Prythian might not last that long, especially if there was another incident like before. The more he thought about it, the more he saw that he had no other option, not at the risk of his new friend's life.
"...The worst of my past is over...But I can't take up anymore of his time by following him to the next floor...Especially since it's going to be my turn next. My inability to think before acting is the reason he's like this..." He bowed his head and looked at his hand, gripping the black and gold handle that summoned his blade of darkness, his grip growing tighter around the handle "The old man who did this to him by breaking his keyblade probably would have been willing to help save him...But I rushed in recklessly and let my anger blind my judgement...Seeing him only as a murderer...I won't let that my lack of patience be what kills him..."
Looking down at the mumbling Prythian, he knew what he had to do. Picking him up and carrying him like before, and instantly noticing the change in his body temperature "The old man said the next set of memories for him was going to be the one who saved him, right? I'll help carry him to the next floor, but I'm going to stay behind, and head back down to the previous floor...Maybe that will guarantee that the next floor will be his."

If and when JessY went through the door without Arin, he would be proven correct; the floor would be attuned to Prythian instead of showing one of Arin's memories. She would find herself coming out of a doorway on a path framed by trees bending over it to provide shade. Beyond was a flowering field, and inside that field a large stone tower with an aura of darkness. Sitting on a stone at the end of the path, near the field, was a female warrior.
JessY had probably already seen her face in the old man's ritual magic earlier. Short, dark grey hair framed her scarred face, with one crossing a white-filmed eye, and another twisting her lips into a scowl. Her one good eye, with its brilliantly-golden iris, would lock onto JessY. The woman was clad in silver armor, and had a large sword strapped to her back.
((Written in primarily-future tense so that you can still interact with each other before going through the door.))

Well, that seemed pretty bold, to stay behind. Took a lot of guts to admit just half of the stuff Arin did, even if she thought it was a bad idea for him to stay back, she wouldn't wrestle this moment out from him. As much as she boasted being capable herself, having an ally was always more desirable than having none. "Not for nothing, but you've been handling pretty nicely out there from what I can tell so far, but I see where you're coming from." She would climb her way just behind Arin, making it to the top.
All that was left was to transfer Prythian and walk through - of course, she couldn't handle him without bracing him a little with her energy first, she wasn't that strong yet, but she had a solid grasp. They were all set, and JessY would nod to the boy before whisking the other way. "I'll be in touch, sweetie." She wasn't quite sure how to say goodbye here, but that seemed to fit. So, she was off! This time alone. ...Why was she here again?
Looking back to what occupied her right shoulder, it became apparent that she was basically saving a life in need. Good enough. Through the door was a pleasant change of scenery - they were outdoors without a threatening or ominous undertone. Well, after taking a few steps she noticed the big, dark tower though the field itself was still pleasant. For some reason, she wasn't happy to see another person here though, as it's only spelled trouble in the past. Well, except for that old man. Wait... Speaking of the hold man, that girl looked really familiar. JessY couldn't put her finger on it right away, but her intuition told her that this wasn't exactly a threat. Yet, anyway. Hopefully she was right.
"Ahoy!" she spoke, approaching her steadily. It was at this point she noticed the scowl and became slightly discouraged, but pressed on. She was pretty desperate for something to go right for once."Heard you ordered a dude, about this high--" JessY pushed up Prythian and gently let him back down as to not cause his actual body to move, just its position. "Needs a little body work, but he's all yours for a low low price of 'where the hell are we exactly'?" She almost started laughing at her own lame routine, but the scowl was just too intimidating. "...All jokes aside though, if you're going to try to kill me or something I recommend skipping whatever rhetoric you had planned and just attack. Otherwise my previous question still stands." Okay, maybe a lame joke wasn't the best, but being a hard-ass probably wasn't much better. One way or another, she would be walking out of here with answers. And alive, hopefully.

((According to Raph, I should just go ahead and post since the post he's working on can happen whenever he finishes it, provided we don't go too far, which I think I can judge properly. So let's go ahead and go! :V))
The woman looked at JessY for a moment, confusion on her face... and then it cleared up. "Oh! You were... the one he used in the awakening! What a pleasure to meet you, though I wish it'd been in a happier time." She waved one hand over the area. "You've already been inside the tower when you met him..." Her voice left no doubt that the person she was talking about was someone she cared deeply for. "...I wish I could remember his name... but that's lost to me. Names are the first thing to go when a soul gets ripped apart... did you know? In any case... this is my memory of guarding his tower. The great mage of darkness."
She looked at Prythian, consternation spreading over her face. "So this is... what became of the sword? I fell into sleep long before whatever created him..." Her lips pressed together as she took in the various cracks and holes that spotted the visible parts of his body. "...Lay him down there on the grass... And take off the upper half of his robe. I need to see just how much damage his body has taken already. Constructs are sturdier than mortals in many ways, but when they've lost structural integrity..." Her voice trailed off.

Oh, phew, no fighting required. Well that was convenient. In fact, when she mentioned the summoning, something became clear albeit not right away. "The one he used in the-- Oh!" At first she was a bit bewildered, but then it became clear why this girl looked so familiar. This was her! this was the end-goal! Fantastic! JessY almost let out a giddy outburst of joy but would merely smile and turn slightly red instead. Ooh, this was exciting! PRetty soon whatever she agreed to help with would be all over with and she could be on her merry way again. Not that she didn't care for these people, but she was starting to get a little worn out.
"Yup, that was me. And a happier time? I fail to see what could be happier than near-death experience and ominous dark-ridden towers." The sarcastic bite in her tone was very obvious, but it wasn't said in such a snarky fashion that it would be offensive in any amount. Nah, just a way to delude the chaos that was whatever awful predicament they were in. "Regardless, names aside, I think you're supposed to know what to do here, correct me if I'm wrong?"
JessY wouldn't be disappointed, right away the other girl went into assessing the situation, giving instructions and making a subtle promise to at least do what she can. The blonde girl was without expectations - she wasn't emotionally invested in the situation to be too worried with the outcome. She desired for the best outcome: that he could be fixed, but wouldn't be heartbroken if he was doomed. In that case, JessY did all she could and that was that. She did what she was asked, sitting him down and sliding the robe off his chest as best as she could. When she was done, she took a step back so that this girl could work whatever process she needed to. "I'm JessY by the way; and you are?" It would help to have a name, even if it wasn't entirely necessary.

"Laeryn." The woman said absentmindedly. "And actually..." She rocked back on her heels, kneeling down next to Prythian. His chest showed just how much the damage had progressed already; there were huge holes, with the light revealed inside clinging to the edges to the point where it thinned out, allowing JessY and Laeryn to see right through him. "...I'm not sure what to do. I think he knows what he needs from me, but... we have to wake him up." She sighed. "This is bad. I'm not sure if this is reversible... Let's see, what did he say about constructs?"
She stood back up and began pacing back and forth, ticking off points on her fingers. "Require a soul from another source... status of soul affects body... emotional indicator tied to..." She stopped. "The emotional indicator... of course!" She went back to Prythian, looking him over, and her gaze was drawn to the colored gemstone on his forehead, where the cracks all over his body appeared to have spread from. "This gem is his emotional indicator. It's tied directly to his soul, and the damage to it reflects that his soul is fragmenting even more than it previously was." She explained. "Constructs are bound to respond to any damage to their indicator, because it's the surest way to destroy them. Damaging it might make us lose any real chance of reversing this... but I don't think there's any other way to wake him up, and unless he can reverse the damage to his soul anyway, the rest of his body will eventually disintegrate into nothing."
Laeryn's eyes sought JessY's. "JessY. Do you know any magic that'll let you directly attack that gem without completely destroying it? Any external damage source will do, but it has to be carefully balanced given the damage to his body already, and indicators are almost always protected from physical blows... which is all I can really do."

Well, that was one of the most painless introductions ever. It's been a while since she got such an easy answer, barring the two she's helping right now. "Laeryn... beautiful name, well met." It came out a bit awkward and choppy, but JessY was the worst at hitting on people. Now wasn't even an appropriate time for that nonsense, but as far as the other girl was concerned, it seemed like a generic 'oh I really like the name' kind of thing. JessY could still have fun... while on dire missions... or something. Still, the other girl continued to assess the situation.
Some garbage about whatever with constructs, JessY wasn't too interested in the small details, but then finally Laeryn started speaking her language - direct requests. Oh, but this was a huge problem - no way JessY could help the girl out. "No magic here sweetie, I'm all physical myself. I mean, I generate energy into a hyper-dense psychokinetic polymer but it's by no means magic." Oops, that probably made zero sense to the other girl. She needed to keep remembering that technological jargon was actually not the most graspable wording in the English language and it's only perfectly understood by a minority of individuals. It would probably be the most beneficial to just demonstrate.
"...Umm, I'll show you." Extending her hand, JessY brandished her signature odachi blade, the energy forming instantly but it was still semi-transparent from lack of being completely solidified. "And trust me, I've already had this discussion, but just because it's colorful and glows 'n shit doesn't mean it's magic." She internally shivered at the thought of seeing that awfully obnoxious boy again, still upset that the fact that someone like him could exist. Oh well, this wasn't important now. JessY dissipated the sword and awaited the girl's next instruction, whatever that may be. Hopefully there was still a way out of this mess.

Laeryn's lips pressed together, and then she swore. Loudly. There were a few suggestions about what mages could do with their safeguards, and where they could stick them, and what the mages themselves should try, most of which were anatomically impossible. "Okay. That's a problem. That leaves only one option. Overload the safeguard. Same idea, but... a lot more dangerous. That requires an enormous amount of physical force, but focused onto the emotional indicator, since if it hits the rest of his body, in his state, it'll likely finish him off." She shook her head. "Is that possible for you? If not, then another person must be found to help wake him up."

Well, on that note, both the girl and Prythian were in luck. In a clear mental state, JessY was the epitome of control and with crazy weapon like hers, anything was possible. Well, in terms of physical aspects. She had an idea, and hopefully it would work right away without any extra preparation so long as the force she could provide with her limited capacity was enough. That was the only drawback however, was her capacity. In any case, here went nothing. Er, in terms of explaining it anyway.
"Alright, I can manage. I make a mega-drill, I gradually give it more and more force until the safeguard breaks. That way, there's no careful measuring or worries pertaining to overshooting the small window of pressure that will both do what we want without breaking him entirely. Just... tell me if this will be big enough?" After her hefty explanation, she held her arm out to the side and a thin strand of light shot out for a short length before it formed into spiral shaped like an upside-down cone. It was about one and a half times the girl's own size, only being allowed to be expanded so far since it was formed into a basic helix rather than being a solid block of energy. It was big, but not gigantic really.
Although, she could make it gigantic if need be, that would just take longer and require a lot more effort, if she could even still pull it off correctly. "I mean, if not, I can make it about five times bigger, but that's a little more difficult. But I can." She wanted to stress that it was possible above all else. This was not a case about whether or not how hard the girl was willing to work, just what needed to be done or not. If Laeryn gave her the green light she would begin the drill sequence right away, pressing it down with some decent grade of force and would begin slowly increasing the amount of pressure. Otherwise there was a whole other process she would need to undertake before she got there.

Laeryn nodded. "Focus the strike here." She placed one finger on the already-cracked, colorless gem set in the center of Prythian's forehead, where all the cracks on his body seemed to spread out from. "Go gently at first, then increase the pressure until the safeguard has been broken. Do just the smallest bit of damage to that gem, and then stop. Otherwise you might destroy what remains of him." She pressed her lips together, her good eye focusing on Prythian's pale, cracked skin. "There's not much I can do but watch. Actually..." She drew her sword off of her back... and then slammed the pommel directly into the gem.
There was a brilliant flicker of some kind of multicolored barrier that flashed into existence right at the impact. It vanished just as quickly. "That. That's the safeguard spell that needs to be broken. Since it's visible when in use... some of them aren't... you should be able to see when it breaks." She slid her sword back into the straps on her back.

Seemed simple enough. "Gotcha. I'll do my best," JessY verbally acknowledged, before fine-tuning her spiral. It was a crude demonstration, but with a little bit of sharpening, accurate curving and more consistent and even spacing, her drill-formed energy would be perfect for the job! JessY turned to face Prythian directly, centering the drill and taking a deep breath before bringing both of her arms out. She held a confident and focused look on her face as she lifted her creation into the air, and... impact!
After she slammed the spiral into place to focus it, the massive drill of energy began twisting. It was rather slow at first but worked its way up to a rapid spin in no time. All in this time, JessY was slowly raising her arms up in parallel as if she was working a lever, pushing up implying the force on the opposite side would push down as a result. It could be said that's what was going on, but the effect was mostly in her head, by playing it out it tricked her brain into manipulating the energy in a meaningful fashion. Because the energy depending on her psychic signals, it was important that her brain conveyed the right idea to the energy that would only know how to do what it's told.
Now, about a minute has passed by, and the pressure was reaching to a point where it would take physical exertion on the blonde girl's part in order to continue applying it more intensively. Lifting her arms up further, she forced her spiral to continue to push down. Her determined face started showing signs of her physical strain however, that she definitely looked like she was pushing pretty hard on her part. She had to be extremely cautious not to overextend, or the brute force of this drill would go straight through the safeguard once shattered and apply the entirety of the force needed to break it into the gem, which was far from desired. She needed to be able to stop it the moment the guard cracked, which is why pressing down was a difficult solution but a necessary one.
Another minute having gone by, JessY was now pushing as hard as she could into the sky, leaning forward with her legs bent back and her eyes closed with her best effort put forth. It was also around now that she felt a slight inconsistency in the surface contact of the drill bit, as if something was going wrong with the surface. Wait, this was it! She was on the verge of the breaking point! The seal felt like it was wobbling and distorting so it obviously wasn't going to last much longer, but better still, JessY had a flawless plan of execution. She stood upright fully with one arm in the air now with the same around of pressure applied as before, giving the spiral a pulse of a much higher magnitude of pressure with the intention to halt all vertical pressure. The pulse made the drill that much more powerful, busting the seal wide open. Since she knew exactly when it was going to happen, the drill did not go crashing through either. Instead, she recalled the drill into her hand and formed a much smaller portion of the energy into an odachi, spun around and lightly struck the gem she had exposed.
Hopefully this jolted him awake, as they predicted.

The barrier flickered, tore, and then shattered apart, the pieces of it flying away and vanishing in brief flashes of light. And then, JessY struck the gem with her odachi.
Ting!
A very small crack appeared in the gem on top of the ones that were already there, and instantly, Prythian's eyes shot open. He almost immediately tried to sit up despite having no energy to do so, arms twitching as if instinctively trying to close on a weapon. "Wh... who...?!" His eyes fell upon JessY, and after a brief moment of confusion, he relaxed again. "...what...?"
"Relax. We just had to wake you up, and needed to trigger your indicator safeguards to do so." Laeryn said, drawing his attention. His eyes widened and a small sigh came from his mouth. "You're... her. The one... I've seen in my... dreams. The first... soul fragment..." Prythian murmured, and now it was her eyes that widened slightly. "Please... I need... your name."
Laeryn looked at JessY, nonplussed, before glancing back at Prythian. "Laeryn. My name was... is... Laeryn Raelthyw." A subtle change passed over Prythian's body, the lights visible through the holes and cracks stopped swirling quite as frantically, and the entire chaotic mess seemed to stabilize, though not through any changes that could be pointed out. "That... was all I needed. The name of... the first. With your name..." His voice seemed to be growing fainter again. "...I can... find you... in the world of the soul... and start rebuilding..." His eyes closed again, and he began breathing in a very regular, calming manner.
"I wish... I could talk with you more... But I need to... do this as quickly as possible..." With that, he ceased talking. Laeryn stood back up suddenly, looking around as if for something. "What is he...?" She murmured to herself, and then the sky flickered with color, an aurora borealis appearing. She quickly turned back to JessY. "Get him out of here, and yourself as well. Back through the door! I don't know what will happen if this memory collapses with you still in it, and whatever he's doing is threatening its stability." She glanced at Prythian, lips flickering into a twisted smile, distorted by her scars. "And to think all he needed was my name..."

Arin sat at the bottom of the stairs of the last floor they escaped from, staring at the shut door and remembering exactly how the mage acted. He was furious at Prythian, hated him for solely existing, and trying to reason with him by saying he wasn't a bad person only seemed to make things worse. It's like his hatred and rage blocked out any sense of reason.
...Rage...
Arin looked down at his hands, his dormant swords clasped in his hands as he thought back to the time when the old man destroyed Prythian's keyblade, and his own. He started to remember how furious he had gotten when he saw the old man do what he did to Prythian, and basically sentence him to death.
"...If I had kept my anger in check...If I had tried to speak with the old man peacefully...Would he have helped us back then?..."
He shook his head furiously, ridding those thoughts from his mind "No point in thinking about what-ifs. I made my choices, I have to live with them..." His mind started to wander to other things, memories of when he first awakened his keyblade, and awakening Nirax in the process. While normally emotionless, Arin noticed that Nirax definitely seemed to display a lot of hatred towards keyblade wielders, despite being one himself. But unlike Arin, who could use light and darkness, Nirax only possessed the dark half of his powers, while wielding some of his own design.
That was when he recalled something from his past, something he once heard in a dream as a child.
"What else is darkness but hate and rage?"
He looked at his dark sword handle, reflecting on those words he heard in his dream. "...Hate...And rage...With the darkness inside of me...Is that all my power can truly amass to? Fighting with anger and hate in my heart?" He looked at his light sword, glowing dimly in his hand, as if Arin's uncertainty was making his light weaker. He couldn't believe that thought, there had to be more to his dark powers than negativity. Just because darkness was the opposite of light, couldn't mean that it was also the opposite of good.
He got to his feet, looking up at the top of the stairway where his new allies were. He had to prove to himself that his dark powers weren't the embodiment of hate and rage, and that he could use them to do good. Pocketing his swords, he started back up to the next floor "There's got to be more to it! If I keep anger and hate from residing in my heart, maybe then I can use my darkness to protect people, and not worry about being a danger to them, or myself."
He stopped halfway up the steps as he looked at his hand, it was suddenly glowing a bright white. A bright flash of light blinded his sight momentarily, and before he knew it, he was wielding a new keyblade, one that looked completely different from his old one. Where his old keyblade had two blades protruding from the blocky guard, this new blade held a single blade, ordained with a golden, jagged frame that held a demonic bat wing at the tip. His hand guard also was ordained with angelic and demonic wings, a small angel wing stinging upward behind the blade. some of the white feathers of an angel wing protrude from the back of the blade, giving it a jagged edge, and producing the tooth of the key. He stared at the key, puzzled by why he had a completely different blade than before, trying to recall the key and resummon it to his other hand.
And there it was again, resting proudly in Arin's other hand. While looking this left side, he noticed his armor pauldron had returned, but was slightly different in color now. Arin looked at the keyblade, both shocked, and overjoyed that his power to wield the blade had returned. His resolve reawakened, he started running up the stairs, a grin on his face as he kept his keyblade in hand, to make sure that he wasn't imagining things.

Well, that just happened. Prythian springs awake, has an awkward conversation, and goes right back into 'passed the heck out' mode. JessY sighed, the whole ordeal being rather anticlimactic. What could you do really? There was something he was taking care, and most importantly, this was apparently the big answer. Their journey was done, so once she was back through the door, her part in this grand scheme of things was over. Well, at least she secretly hoped so. She would stay if something else developed, otherwise she was about to clock out. She felt pretty exhausted.
"Right away, pretty lady. Welp, yah big lug, you're comin' with me. And I swear to god if I have to carry you up one more flight of stairs..." He voice pattered out to be softer and softer as her obviously sarcastic ranting went on, having picked up Prythian with a brace of energy like before and carting him away. Once she was close to the door she turned and waved to Laeryn again, turned back and went through. Closing it behind her, she slumped to the ground with Prythian and sighed heavily. What a day.
While she figured she would rest for a moment and then go ahead and give Arin the good news, it seems one of those things would be taking precedence as the other boy seemed to be full of energy while running in a frantic sense toward the door with a keyblade in his hand. Wait... a keyblade? How the--? Grunting a bit from the motion being a little premature to her intentions, JessY stood up but without Prythian. "Whoa, hey there, where's the fire? If you were about to join us, good news; that won't be necessary. We got what we came here for so I'm thinking we can leave once this guy finally decides to stop taking compulsive naps." JessY paused for a moment, trying to think of how to put the next part delicately. She swore there was a reason he didn't have a keyblade before, but heaven forbid her short term memory works correctly.
"And uh, nice keyblade? Been hiding that or something?" Okay, guess she decided to toss 'delicately' right out the window and took her normal insensitive direct route. She should probably stop doing that if she ever wanted to actually make friends, not that she was particularly interested in seeing these two again. It wasn't their fault really, she was just not having a good time. Who could blame her? What girl doesn't want to be spoiled on a first date? All jokes aside, JessY eagerly awaited Arin's response.

Anticlimactic to JessY, maybe, but the entire goal of Prythian's journey here had never been meant to be a large ordeal. All he had ever needed... all he'd known, instinctively, that was necessary... was a single name. The one that belonged to the person who'd first had their soul and heart taken by the Blood Sword. The largest and oldest fragment... and, truth be told, the very core of what his soul was.
As he spiraled into darkness, he could feel bits and pieces of him flaking off and breaking up. Down, down into the depths of his own self, past the energy fields that were ebbing away, beyond the compromised framework of his own body. As his consciousness neared his goal, he felt it. A terrible pressure, almost like a wall of invisible blades, tearing him to pieces. Pushing forward, he cried out into the darkness two words.
On the outside, Arin and JessY would both be able to hear Prythian murmur softly. "...Laeryn Raelthyw..."
The wall gave way, and he entered into the center of his soul. It was as if he was in a field of stars. Countless lights, each burning bright with their own color, floating in an absolute darkness. Some clustering together, some all alone... some burning with the force of a thousand suns, some smoking in silence... some filling up as much space as they could, some shrinking down as if to hide...
Prythian had no body there. He filled the space, and at the same time, was infinitely small within it. With a single thought, he touched one of the stars. Feelings flickered through him; hatred, rage, loneliness, indignation... He touched another. Kindness, righteousness, anger... As he reached out to all of them, he tested them, feeling them out and understanding them. He knew instinctively which was which; this star represented the old man who had created the sword in the first place... this one the construct made to guard it... this one the crazed man who had waged the Feuding Wars... As he felt them all, he began feeling the shape of them. Some had their emotions sharp and wild, like broken glass, while others were smooth with strict control and calm.
Finally, he reached her. Laeryn. The woman who was the first soul to be taken by the sword. The piece of her soul burned with the power of light, and love, and all things growing. And as he held onto her, the core of his being, he began to pull another soul fragment to him... and lining up their edges, like puzzle pieces, he slotted them together. Miraculously, they stuck together as if they were of the same person, each one matching the other where they touched such that there was no distinction between the two. Once more, Prythian reached out and began to draw soul fragments towards him...
...and soon, the new form of his soul began to take shape. Each fragment contained within him had its own place, even those of deepest darkness... those that burned dimmest... those that lashed out at all around them... even the smallest pieces became part of his new soul.
As he did this, the cracks and holes in his body began to shed a soft, gentle light, colors no longer mixing wildly and chaotically. They began to drift around Prythian in a mist, as if trying to form some sort of cocoon.

Arin made it to the top of the stairs, and it seemed like JessY had dragged Prythian back to the previous checkpoint rather than head for the next floor, that was good. True to her style, or what Arin gathered from his time near her, she made a witty remark about his keyblade. Rather than annoy him, he was actually glad that she noticed the blade, it meant he wasn't really imagining things.
"Well, it's good to know I'm not hallucinating. This is actually a new blade for me, the keyblade I had before was much different." He looked down at Prythian and then back to JessY, a calm expression on his face "Did he get what he needed from that woman?" When he got confirmation from JessY, he chuckled "Hard to believe all he needed was a name, I had to do some soul searching to get this." He lifted his keyblade, before letting it vanish in a flash of white light and black lightning.
"You know, you may be a full time bitch at times, but you're not as horrible of a person as I thought you were, thanks for sticking with us through this."
Then, he heard Prythian murmur a name, and his body began to emit light that slowly began to surround his body. Arin shielded his eyes when the light became too bright to look at "Looks like he's pulling himself back together."
