Pushing with all of his might, the young man was finally able to push the heavy door open, letting it slam shut behind him. Closing his eyes as he winced, Kress would hear the shattering defeat of the door's slam echo through the massive castle. Well, this journey was already off to a great start. Looking over his left shoulder, Kress would lock eyes with his weasel partner, who had been shooting him a glare ever since the elf-eared boy had left the previous world they were on. "Alright, let me get this straight. We left our village to be seen as heroes, we then arrive to that freaking dock, are consider heroes there after saving that stolen cargo, we're seen as heroes by most people there, just like we always wanted. Care to tell me what happened after that, Kressy?!" Holding up a finger to the pest's mouth in an attempt to lower his voice, Kress let out a sigh. "For the millionth time, Wes, we won't be considered heroes by anyone if we just stay in one place. You saw how everyone in that town treated us, it's just like it was back home." Kress would leave it at that to his partner, as he was in no mood to deal with the troublesome weasel's antics at the moment.
As he had mentioned, when asking the townsfolk about anything wrong in the area, they truly did seem to just write Kress off as a weakling, making jokes at his expense rather than fulfilling his request for information regarding the area. Really, it seemed as if it didn't matter where he was in the universe, he'd always get the same treatment he had always gotten. Though, luckily for him, someone in the town did actually give him some information that seemed like a good enough lead. With the nice woman pointing Kress towards the mysterious looking castle in the distance, he'd make the lengthy hike to the castle, reaching the entrance room he was now standing in. Kress wasn't sure just what kind of troubles may be looming in the castle, but he could only assume it would be those odd shadow creatures he had seen in the Port Royal. The locals there seemed to label them as 'Heartless,' a name Kress made a note of for future reference. Though, one thing did strike the young man as a bit odd.. why did it feel as if he wasn't alone in this castle? Hell, he didn't even feel like he was alone in the room he was standing in. Well, aside from Wes being there, of course. Taking a look around the room, Kress took a deep breath as he began to walk towards the staircase in front of him.
"Nice place here, wouldn't you say, Kress? What do you think the babe who owns this place is like? I bet she has a really nice-." Flicking the weasel on his snout, Kress would silence the nuisance before shutting him down. "What happened to lowering our voices?! Secondly, is your damn mind always in the gutter?! Just do me a favor and keep quiet for a few minutes, will you?" Looking genuinely confused, Wes would snicker a bit, giving Kress a smug smile before retorting. "..A nice sense of decor, Kress. Sheesh, who's mind is really in the gutter?! Here's a hint, it's yours." Hearing his partners intended phrase, Kress' face would turn a deep red color. Kress, not even able to speak words due to his embarrassment, could only give his partner a stern look, which was enough to shut his partner up. Wes wouldn't dare push the boy any farther, Kress was already annoyed enough from the day he was having. Exploring the halls of the castle a bit more, Kress would be welcomed with the oh-so exciting sight of more nothing. Really, for a supposed hot spot of problems, the castle didn't seem too bad. Still, it did manage to have an eerie feeling on the boy, a feeling that would only worsen as the duo continued through the manor.
Reaching a set stair cases with branching ways, Kress would place a hand on his chin, trying to see which way he should attempt to check out next. Wes, being bored beyond relief, would be slumped over the boy's left shoulder, letting out minor grunting sounds as he switch his position on the boy's shoulder frequently, much like a bored child would fidget in their seat. Ignoring his partners boring decision making, Wes would stare at a vibrant vase on a table behind them. "Ugh, that's tacky." The weasel muttered aloud to himself, closing his eyes to pass the time. Though, a foreign voice would penetrate the weasel's ears, a voice that would cause his eyes to dart open and shift towards the vase instantly. "Oh my, not only does that strange-eared boy have an over-grown rat on his shoulder, it talks too. Not to mention, it has bad manners." Gritting his teeth at the vase, Wes would tug on his partners collar. "Kress, a vase just insulted us. A lot of things have happened to use Kress, but a vase talking smack to us is a first. We need to move back to the country, it was better times then."
Frowning at his weasel, Kress sighed and shook his head, patting the weasel gently on it's head. "Well, I gotta give you credit, you kept your mouth shut longer than I expected. Seriously Wes, we're fine. You're just letting your nerves get the best of you, buddy." Nudging his weasel to get Wes' attention off of the vase, Kress would cup two hands over his mouth. "Watch. Hey, is anybody home?!" He'd yell at the top of his lungs, waiting a few seconds after to prove his point. After the silence Kress had expected was the only thing to fill their ears, he'd have a bit of a smug smile on his face. "See, look at that, no one is ho- what the?!" As he was attempting to reassure his weasel, the sound of movement all throughout the castle could be heard, leaving the once smug Kress with a shocked look on his face.
"Oh, great. You just had to piss off the vase, didn't you?! Now you've angered the damn Vase God or something."
"Shut up, Wes."

Saleth crossed her arms as she looked around her. Somehow, she had wound up inside some sort of massive castle or building of some sort. Currently, she was in the middle of what looked to be a tall and vast hallway. On either side of her were suits of armor. All of them alligned the walls, poised and proud. Saleth scoffed at them as she silently walked. She hated humans and to see the suits of armor made her sick. It reminded her of humans and most likely, this place was owned by a human or something that looked human. Saleth had encountered vampires in her travels. Maybe a vampire owned the place?
What was Saleth? Why did she hate humans? Well, she had endured a lot of abuse by the hands of humans. She had landed on some sort of prison world and found out the hard way that she should have kept going before they discovered her. How long Saleth had been in that prison for, she didn't know. It had been for a very long time, however. How she managed to keep her sanity was a good question. Every day she had been beaten to an inch of her life. All the harsh things she had endured until now, Saleth hated humans for it. She wouldn't actually harm humans unless they tried to hurt her first but she hated them. Saleth had nothing to do with humans.
As for what Saleth was, she was one of the very few pure blooded dragons in the universe. There were other breeds of dragons but her race, the one that Saleth was born from, she was rare in that sense since most of her race had bred with other beings. It was rare for Saleth to find others of her kind. Honestly, she didn't care to. However, it would be interesting to meet another dragon.
Appearance wise, others would immediately notice the silver wings and tail that she had. Otherwise, Saleth looked like a human in appearance. She had wine red hair and violet eyes. Around her wrist, where her prison tattoo had been put on her skin, Saleth wore a white wristband to cover it. The only sign that she had been through a hard time were the many scars that riddled her body. They were all over her, even a bit of her face. Many would think it was because her kind was known to fight. Where her kind could be fighters and obtain many scars that way, in reality her kind in this form were very much refined like that of humans. Most didn't always fight anymore. The reason why Saleth had this form was because her kind had evolved this form to better blend and associate with others like humans. It was their way of keeping their kind from being wiped out.
As she walked, Saleth could hear something ahead somewhere. Were those voices? Then, there was the sound of a lot of movement. A commotion of sorts. Confused, Saleth stalked toward the other noise. The one away from the voices if only to see what was going on. Down one end of the hallway, there was a large white wardrobe and it had a face on it. The face appeared to be sleeping, unbothered by the commotion going on. Confused, Saleth looked around. Just where was the noise coming from? Then, she saw it. Up ahead, there were what appeared to be shadows and they looked like they were engaged in battle with something. Saleth walked away from them. It was no business of her's.
Unfortunately, that caused her to forget about the voices she had heard up ahead earlier. So, she was mildly surprised when she stumbled upon what looked to be a being with pointed ears, reminded her of a human, and a weasel of sorts. Great! Now what was she going to do?
"...Great...right as I'm trying to avoid others..." Saleth murmured to herself.

Hearing a voice, Wes would once again dart his head back to the vase, giving it a harsh glare. "You just keep talking, you damn vase! I promise, you'll be shattered on the floor if you keep it up. Why'd we come here?!" Kress, still having doubts that the vase was able to speak, wouldn't buy into his weasel's assumption that the vase was the one who Wes heard. After all, inanimate objects don't just gain the ability to talk. Well, at least they didn't in most worlds he had read about. Though, he did have to consider that could be a normal occurrence in this world. He had seen people seem surprised after hearing his furry partner speak, leading him to have the theory that talking animals must not exist on other worlds. There was definitely a chance he was the odd one out here. Scanning around the room, Kress would see a woman, causing the boy to jump a bit and instantly shift his eyes away from. Ho boy, he was bad enough at just functioning as a social being, the fact that this was a female he'd have to deal with, that would make this a next to impossible mission for Kress.
"Oh Gods... Uh I-." With his voice cracking a bit, would shut his mouth and place a hand on his chin, trying to determine how to hadle this situation. As it stood, Kress could only assume this woman was the owner or at least a resident of this castle, meaning he was in a very awkward position here. He was essentially trespassing in this persons living quarters, and to make matters worse, he had used a rather loud voice when checking if anyone was home. Certainly not the manner Kress would usually like to express to a stranger. Having Wes yelling at the vase behind him would really put the cherry on top of his bad first impression sundae he was making for this woman. "Oh, h-hello madame, is this your castle? We weren't trying to disturb anyone. Well, I mean we kind of were, but not you! No, we heard that troubles were common up here and we were trying to, you know, fix them. Okay, this is going really bad." Although Kress' voice would start loud and clear, as the awkward boy rambled on, he become quieter and quieter until his voice was pretty much inaudible.
All the while, Wes would be shaking his head with shame for his partner. Really, if Kress' goal in that whole ordeal was to let the woman know they were no harm, he did an awful job. It made him sound like more of a creep in Wes' eyes. Being the always helpful sidekick he was, the weasel would decide to give Kress a hand on this one, no matter how much the boy would want him to stay out of it. "Open a window Kress, 'cause you're stinking up the place! Now for you with the weird-ass wings, I-." Stopping for a quick second, Wes would turn and point at the vase that had been giving him such a hard time. "Don't you think I've forgotten about you either! One hurdle at a time over here." While Kress' would be beet-red from embarrassment, the weasel would slowly turn his head back to the woman from before, keeping his eyes on the vase until his head was completely turned. " "As my partner was trying to explain, we asked townsfolk about problems in this world, and all pointed at your stupid castle, so what're you hiding here?! More vases with attitude?! You make me sick!" Man, this was just getting worse and worse! acting quickly, Kress would grab his weasel and cover it's mouth, giving the woman a nervous smile while silencing the little rascal. Okay, this was flopping fast. It had started off as just painfully awkward, but thanks to Wes it was now entering a insulting territory. It was sad, really, all Kress could do was attempt to put together words in a failed attempt to make some sort of redeeming sentence, but all that would come out would either be inaudible mumbles or just the boy spewing out gibberish, until he was able to think of a saving grace. The woman's odd wings. While Kress wasn't quite certain if they were fake or real, the boy had always loved the design and concept of wings, even going to the extreme of trying to build a mechanical set for himself. Maybe a common ground could save this train wreck?, probably not, but what did he have to lose?
"Hey, d-did you make those wings? They're design and look to them is really impressive, almost as if they're real. Well, unless of course they are real, then they're just kind of cool looking, but still impressive. Dammit, I'm doing it again..." At this point, Kress was pretty much ready to throw in the towel and just get out of this castle and world, as he was expecting this person to either kill him or kick him out of her home. Maybe both. Though, due to Kress' natural interest in knowledge, he had made himself genuinely curious about the woman's wings. Who knows, maybe if she was nice enough, she'd let him know before kicking his ass. That was the best case scenario in Kress's mind at moment, sad as it was to say.

Saleth rose a brow as the other individual took notice of her. He seemed to almost jump out of his skin. She couldn't blame him. She did sort of just appear out of nowhere and her wings and tail usually made others flinch since most assumed she was a monster of sorts. When she was angry, she could be a monster. It was never wise to anger a dragon. When the other tried to speak, it was clear that he was nervous. He didn't appear to even know what he wanted to say.
'Oh great, this is going to take a while.'
Saleth stood there as this elf or human-like being greeted her and then asked her if this were her castle. At first, this individual started loud and clear before his voice weakened into almost inaudible. He likely lost his confidence in what he was saying. When this had ended in futility, the little weasel stepped forth and spoke. Unwisely, the weasel decided to make a remark about her wings. Saleth gave it an annoyed, flat look as it continued, turning to a vase and yelling at it before turning to her again. When it did, it said they had come here to her stupid castle. Amusing that these two assumed that she owned the place. It didn't take long before the weasel bombarded her with questions about what she was hiding in here and accusing her of vases with attitudes.
"You know, in my other form, I have eaten those as tiny as you for bite sized snacks!" Saleth responded sarcastically. Honestly, he'd not be much of a snack even. He was much too tiny. He wouldn't even feed a newly transformed baby dragon of her race. Her pupils had turned to slits noticeably in her annoyance with the furry creature. The taller individual picked up his furry companion and covered his mouth looking horrified about what he had said to her.
After a moment of collecting himself, he finally focused his attention on her. Saleth just blinked at him. He thought she made her wings?! Of all the absurd things! Her wings were clearly real. If all they took notice of was her wings then they had yet to see her long tail that was now lightly swaying behind her in her annoyance. Saleth let out a sigh before walking past them a few feet and glancing over her shoulder, her tail now easily seen from this angle.
"My wings...and tail, are real. I am a dragon. This place isn't my castle. I just found myself here. As for what's going on in this place, I could care less. It's got nothing to do with me," Saleth replied finally. With that, she started to walk off.

Tilting his head as the woman answered his questions, Kress' eyes would light up. A dragon? Was that slang for something these days or was she just truly a dragon? This really didn't help calm him down in the slightest. Sure, the boy had heard of some form of dragons on his home world, but he always assumed they were just stories, making this an amazing moment for the geeky boy. Unfortunately for the woman, who appeared to want nothing ot do with Kress, she had invoked the wrath of the boy's curiosity, meaning he wouldn't allow her to walk away from him just yet. Of, course, this wasn't the ideal decision for his weasel. This woman implied that she had eaten his kind before and despite Wes' big mouth, he wasn't about to test that theory. Walking up to the woman, Kress would walk beside her, his need to know more about she meant over-clouded his safety issues. Hey, he had made it this far with out her attempting to maul him, what was the harm in continuing forward? Well, besides being mauled, anyway.Though, being able to see the woman closer, Kress would a better look at both her tail and wings, seeing that she wasn't fibbing about them being real.
"Hey now, please wait a sec. You really can't just tell me you're a dragon and leave it at that! That is freaking awesome! I have so many questions to ask..." Sadly, this wasn't even an act, the boy could have never fathomed that he'd be able to meet a live dragon in his lifetime, seeing one that had an appearance close to that of a human, that was even more amazing to see. Though, given the woman's attitude towards the duo, Kress wasn't entirely sure she'd even be willing to answer any other questions he may have even had about her. After all, from the stories in his world, he was told that all the dragons had either been killed or chased off of his home world. If those stories were actually true in any way, Kress could possibly see why a dragon would have a negative outlook towards his kind or those who were like his kind. That being said, Kress still had trouble believing they were ever even dragons on his home world, so he highly doubted that she had ever even seen a being from his specific world. It's not like the woman even need a deep reason to have an attitude with Kress, Wes was plenty of reason enough to dislike the duo.
Though, Wes didn't share Kress' curiosity, as he was still a bit ticked off about the woman's comment about eating him. She obviously thought the weasel would shut up after that comment, but this dragon didn't know just what a prick Wes was. "Yeah, you don't know who you're talking too, dragon-breath. You even take as much as nibble towards all of this, and I swear to you, you'll have a stomach full of an elementally super weasel bouncing around in your stomach! Yeah, sister you wont want to mess with all this hunk of we-." Once again silencing his partner, Kress gave the weasel another glare before setting him down on him down on his shoulder once more. "Please ignore him, his bark is much worse than his bite, now then.."Leaving Wes utterly angry at his partner for letting a dragon threaten to feast upon the little guy. Wes didn't expect much out of the nerdy boy, but he at least expected him to have his back when someone made a threat towards him, seeing as how they were supposed to be partners.
Well, Wes wasn't entirely wrong, as Kress would defend the critter if this woman did in fact try to eat him, but Kress saw it more as the woman trying to shut Wes up, which was something Kress wasn't very opposed of. Getting back to the matter at hand, Kress would place a hand on his chin, letting his eyes shift away from the dragon as he was thinking. Despite being the painfully awkward boy he was, he seemed to actually be able to speak in full sentences this time, if only for the opportunity to possibly learn something new. "I know you said this isn't your castle, but do you have any idea where you are going from here? Are you going to find other dragons?! Are there even other dragons? This is insane! I've only heard things about your kind, but I've always wanted to see one in person. Granted, they never said anything about dragons taking human-like forms, which only makes this even cooler!"
As the boy rambled on, he'd seem more like an excited child than the young adult he was. Fortunately, Kress didn't inform the woman that most of the things he heard weren't good things, but he was sure that wouldn't have went so well with this female dragon. To be fair, she seemed to have proven the whole "dragons kill on sight" myth his father had constantly shoved down his throat constantly, so there was that. Honestly, he doubted anyone from his world had ever ran into a dragon. Perhaps this could be a way to bring the truth back to his home world if the myths about dragons in his world were false, which was something he was beginning to suspect was the case.

Saleth did not expect the reaction she got from this human. Well, save for the pointy ears. Maybe he was some sort of elf? She couldn't think of anything else that might have pointed ears. Well, save for maybe vampires but vampires varied. She could see the other's eyes light up. Great, now she wasn't going to shake this one off. Saleth inwardly sighed. Luckily for Wes and Kress, Saleth wasn't one to actually kill others for annoying her. Sure, she made threats but that was as far as she went unless someone really pushed her over the brink to go as far as punching someone. Even still, she wouldn't actually kill unless someone tried to kill her first.
Kress was right in thinking that Saleth didn't want any company. Who could blame her? She endured a lot of torture. The scars were numerous and now easily noticeable for Kress now that he was closer. Saleth didn't like how close he was walking alongside her. She tried to put space between them but that didn't work. Now that he knew what she was, he was oddly amazed by that fact. She found his behavior to be strange since most beings automatically ran away from her as soon as they found out they were dealing with a dragon. He sounded excited and had many questions to ask her. Saleth let out a sigh. Nope, she wasn't going to shake this one off at all.
As they walked, she could hear the weasel talking again. He wasn't a very bright creature to be mouthing off a dragon. Honestly, she had threatened him only to silence him. She had no real intention of making a snack out of the furry creature. The fur would've gotten all over her tongue and his bones would have been stuck in her teeth. It would not be pleasant to try and get all of that out of one's mouth and it certainly didn't taste that good to go through that much of a hassle. Saleth just ignored him this time as his human or elf friend picked him up and quieted him again. This time, he told her that the weasel's bark was worse than his actual bite. Saleth chose to say nothing but the other continued on, undisturbed by the fact that she seemed keen to get away.
Kress seemed to match her pace with every step. Eventually, Saleth decided that the only way she was going to get rid of this person was to answer his questions. Then, maybe he'll leave her alone. Of course, that didn't mean he actually would. Saleth just hoped he would. After all, in her eyes, being left alone was better than the risk of being captured again and tortured again for being what she was.
"Of course I have no idea where I'm going. I found myself here in this castle I know nothing about!" Saleth growled a bit. She went a little quiet at the mention of finding other dragons. That was not an easy thing to do. Most of her kind was dead or had bred with beings like humans in order to survive. Her species' pure blooded dragons were very hard to find. So, even one like Saleth would have a very difficult time looking.
"Of course there are other dragons! There are different races of dragons, due to the many worlds out there. My race though is spread very thin. Most of my kind has bred with humans and other human-like beings in order to survive. Finding pure blooded dragons is very rare. At least, from my race of dragon. I've not met any others but there are others out there. As for the human-like form...we've had to evolve this form as our dominant form in order to communicate with humans and human-like beings better and so that they will not think of us as beasts that need to be killed on sight. The true dragon form is very intimidating to most that are smaller than us."
Saleth was sure this being, whoever he was, would want to know more. He didn't look it, except maybe attire wise, but he seemed to be an intellectual of sorts. The way he was talking made it seem like that. Unless, of course, for some reason he was a fan of dragons. Either that or both. Well, she could tolerate intelligent beings better than brutes that didn't have much of a brain. The latter were always the sort that tried to kill her or hurt her in some way.

As he would expect, Saleth didn't seem exactly thrilled that he was still sticking around. Just the tone in her voice said it all. Despite that, Kress wouldn't take the hint and leave this poor dragon alone, he was much too much of a nerd to walk away from a chance like this, he just needed a reason to stick around this woman. He was a lot of things, but a stalker was not one of them, and this whole ordeal seemed to make Kress out as some sort of freak. Not that he wasn't some kind of freak, but he definitely didn't want this woman to know that. What really caught his attention was the girl mention that there were plenty of kinds of dragons out there, something Kress would have never believed if it wasn't coming straight from from a dragons mouth. The mere fact that her kind had evolved to such lengths to protect themselves also fascinated the boy. To have such an awareness of the common man's ignorance towards things they don't understand, that was something that truly impressed Kress. Of course, Kress couldn't ask the girl to list every type of dragon, as that would be daunting to ask of her even if she seemed willing to talk to him, which she didn't.
"Yeesh, must be rough when people attack your kind just for being a dragon. I'm truly sorry for what your kind must have been through" It wasn't often that Kress would be saddened by anything, the damn guy was pretty much always optimistic, but hearing that Saleth's kind had been hated attacked just for what they were, well, he could honestly relate. Being a human-elf hybrid, Kress was rejected by both the humans and elves in his village, as both of the species that inhabited his world had problems with the other, making him the odd one out in a sense. Of course, he had never had his life in danger due to what he was, that seemed to be a problem only Saleth had. Paying more attention to the girl, Kress would notice more and more about the woman, including some scars that were upon her. Kress would take one look at them and not even think about asking that question. People who had scars like Saleth's, they're never fun to talk about, no matter how curious the boy may have been about them.
Instead, he would focus his thoughts towards Saleth's earlier comment. If she indeed did not know where she was going, perhaps that could be Kress' way to stick around with this being. It wasn't much, but it was all the boy could possibly use at this point,he was sure Saleth would send his annoying ass away if he just kept on at what he was doing. "You know..." Kress would say in a quiet and shaky voice. "If don't know where you are, maybe I can help you out! You know, help you get on you're way. It can't be any good to be in a place you know nothing about, why not allow me to help you?" Smiling nervously at the dragon, Kress would instantly look away from her after a few seconds. Unfortunately, the boy was not asking her a question this time around, so it seemed as if his bravery to speak from before had vanished, leaving his dorky self left to offer help to the girl.
Well, this was going to be another painfully awkward exchange, as much as he wished it wouldn't be. Still, Kress could see this going either way, as the two hadn't even given the other their names, but he hadn't offered anything too outlandish at this point either. Having more time with Saleth would mean being able to learn more about her species, which was something Kress really wanted to accomplish, but there was a bit more to the young man's interest in helping her. Besides just being a hero and wanting to help people by nature, Kress wouldn't be opposed to forming some sort of friendship with this dragon. After all, he was able to make a friend in the last world he visited, perhaps he could do the same here. When it came to friends, Kress didn't have much outside of his best buddy and annoying partner, Wes, so new additions to his small list of friends were always welcome to him.
Though, he was getting ahead of himself here. The young lady hadn't even responded to him in any kind of friendly tone at all here, it was very possible she could see this as some sort of plan from Kress, as it did seem odd for a person to offer to help a complete stranger for no sake other than good will, but that was just the kind of person Kress was. Of course, Saleth had no way of knowing this, so this left Kress in a very suspicious position. Trying to make things work for him, the boy would attempt to make himself seem more genuine. "I could help you find out where you are faster. After all, I've read up on countless worlds, I'm sure I can get you out of this place. You know, without any munny or anything, I don't want any of that." As Kress finished his sentence, his partner's eyes would light up, the weasel shedding a devious smirk.
"Yeah, dragon-babe, Kressy here wants a more personal reward than munny!" Kress' eye would widen as his cheeks burned a bright red. He really wasn't even sure if Wes was his friend or enemy in situations like this, but all the boy could do was attemot to fix this mess. "No! I don't want that at all! Well, that's not to say you're not very pretty, 'cause you are... It's just I'm not really interested in that... Oh Gods... this went a lot better in my head." Slapping a palm over his face as his partner howled with laughter behind him, Kress wouldn't even be able to look at the woman anymore.

Saleth had an inkling that getting this one off her tail, figuratively speaking, wouldn't be easy. If she thought answering his questions would get him to leave, they didn't. Her answers just seemed to spur his curiosity even more. When she had mentioned that her kind was attacked, nearly wiped out, forcing them to take on the evolved form that she was walking around in he had done something strange. He had apologized for what her kind had gone through. That wasn't something she expected to hear. After all, she was under the impression that all humans or humanoids hated her kind and wanted to kill them. Yet, here was someone that wasn't like that. Saleth couldn't help put peer back at him with obvious confusion. By then her eye color must have been more noticeable in what little light the place appeared to have. They were lilac in color. Her hair, which might've appeared to be black or dark brown in the gloom was actually a wine red in color. As for the wings and tail, they appeared gray but when some light hit them, they seemed to shimmer, a sign that they were actually silver.
"You are a strange one...but...um...thanks?" Saleth merely stated. It wasn't an insult. If anything, she was stating that he was peculiar to her. She hadn't come across anyone that was like him before. Saleth wasn't sure how else to respond except thanking him for his apologies. It wasn't his fault though that there were a lot of those out there after her kind's heads or blood. Some killed her kind for honor, some because they despised her kind, others because they feared them and thought they should be killed and then there were those that didn't just do it for munny but to also obtain things from the carcass of a dragon. Blood, bones, scales and whatever else were used in concoctions and other things. A dragon's blood even helped the drinker live longer.
As they walked further, Saleth heard the elf or human with pointy ears speaking to her again. His voice sounded like it had been before when she first ran into him and his weasel. It was nervous and shaky. He was offering to help her find her way through the castle and back on her way. She wasn't sure if she should think of his shaky tone of voice as nervousness because he was up to no good or just nervous because he was shy. It wasn't easy for Saleth to trust others, especially after just running into them. Saleth didn't even know his name.
What sounded like an offer to help her get out of the castle, turned into something that sounded like he was offering to take her off of this world entirely. At this, Saleth crossed her arms as she paused and turned around to face him with a skeptical look on her face. Unfortunately for Kress, Wes decided to speak. Embarrassed beyond belief, Kress seemed to struggle to fix what mess the weasel had caused. Sadly, Kress seemed to dig himself into a much bigger ditch than what he started with. As if realizing this, he awkwardly looked away, redder than red after blurting out that where he wasn't into what Wes had said, he had thought she was very pretty. She could easily tell them to get out of here and leave her alone despite the flattery in the compliment Kress tried to fix what the weasel had said. However, what Kress said was something that she realized was her problem outside of the castle. She had appeared within the castle itself. Her Gummi Ship was nowhere to be found. Saleth needed a means to get off this world since her dragon form couldn't travel between worlds. This form couldn't safely try that either without the use of a Gummi Ship. She was stranded here, now that she thought about it.
Saleth looked hard at Kress for a moment. Whether she liked it or not, there was someone at least offering to help her off this world. As for his motives, she couldn't be sure. If he wasn't into munny...or what that weasel said...then what was his real motive? Aside from the furry creature, there didn't appear to be anyone else around. Unfortunately for Saleth, that meant she had to stick around these two longer. Saleth let out an exasperated sigh before finally speaking.
"...Alright...I'll go with you." She looked directly at Kress as her eyes narrowed a little, her pupils turning slitted. "However, if you prove to be of ill intent, I won't hesitate in tearing you apart." Saleth knew that she threatened him but it was to ensure her own safety. She had to survive. Obviously, after having been through what she had been through, Saleth was wise to be as defensive as she was.

Welp, with Kress going on to humiliate himself in front of this women like he did, he was fully ready to hear Saleth's laughter fill his ears as she told him to get out of her sight, but he'd be a bit taken back when he heard her actual answer to his offer. She agreed? What, was this insane? Granted, Kress was happy she was allowing him to help her in her time of need, he was still a bit uncomfortable with it. Kress still was used to being shot down by everyone, even in something as simple as offering to help someone, hearing that this person was willing to let the boy help them, well.. that was just a mixed bag of feelings. On one hand, he was extremely excited to be given the chance to not only help this woman, he could possibly make a friend! With a dragon no less, if the mere thought of making a friend didn't excite the boy enough. On the other side, Kress now felt the anxiety of the situation on his shoulders. What if he wasn't able to take this woman where she wanted? Would she tear him apart like she said he would if he double crossed her? Ho boy, It was nearing the time for Kress to open his mouth once more.
Clearing his throat a bit, his face still burning with embarrassment, Kress let out a nervous chuckle, still barely able to look at Saleth. "Oh, no no, there won't be any need for tearing me apart. My gummi s-ship is just outside of town. If we can make it there with me not being torn about, I can take you wherever you need to go." Trying to sneak in a light-hearted joke, Kress would fail miserably, making him sound more in fear of the dragon than anything else. Though, in all honesty, he was a bit frightened, just not for the reason that a dragon might have expected a person to fear them. Stepping in front the woman, Kress would attempt to retrace his steps in his head. He may have came to this castle looking for some sort of problem, but thus far, the place seemed pretty clean. Eerie as all heck, sure, but nothing downright evil or troublesome. Well, besides the apparently rude vase that Wes had pointed out earlier, but Kress was still disregarding that the vase ever actually spoke.
Though, As the boy would begin to lead the way, he'd jolt his head back at Saleth, slapping himself on the forehead and shaking his head. "Ugh Gods, where are my manners! My name is Kressten and this charming little fellow on my shoulder is Wesley. Our friends call us 'Kress' and 'Wes', you can as well if you want." Snorting a bit, Wes hopped off of the boy's should and sent a glare up at Kress. "Yeah, all two of them." The weasel would snicker a bit before turning back to the dragon. He seemed to be a bit more brave when he wasn't super close to the dragon. "Don't you even think of pointing out the fact that our names rhyme, dragon-girl, it's been said before. And another thing, don't you dare touch a damn thing in our ship! I don't need your scaly-ass dragon cooties getting all over the place!" Shrugging at the woman as his partner scurried up to his shoulder, Kress could only give her a look that reeked of his pathetic-ness.
"Again, please ignore him. He doesn't warm up to kindly to strangers... or anyone, really." Pointing forward, Kress would turn his head back to Saleth and smile. "Should just be straight forward then a few left turns back to entrance of this place.... I think. I'm about ninety percent positive it's this way. Okay, eighty-five percent." Scratching the back of his head, Kress would continue his lead. Well, assuming Saleth wasn't already gone during his ramblings. Sheesh, things really never did go like they were planned. Not that Kress had a plan walking in this place to begin with, but hopefully he'd be able to manage without any more screw-ups on his part. He was really making himself look like a moron, which was Wes' job, not the elf-eared boy's. Though he was nervous and a bit uneasy about the whole situation, Kress was pretty confident in his memory of the castle. He didn't get labeled a genius on his home world for nothing. Unless there were any hiccups in the road on the way there, Kress could easily lead this woman to the entrance, which was no easy task in this maze of a castle. For Kress though, hiccups in the road were quite common, he could only hope that he didn't screw up with a dragon following him. Especially since wandering around in a castle could most likely come off as stalling, which is what could easily be considered "ill intent." He really didn't want to be torn apart here.

Saleth only left that threat in the air as a means to ensure her own safety. Simple mishaps weren't things she would consider as ill intended. Honestly, she didn't think the human with the pointy ears was capable of ill will. His weasel, on the other hand, might be. Thankfully, she was much larger than the furry menace. She could sit on him or something to teach him a lesson! Gods help him if she were in her dragon form then to boot! As she had agreed to take this young man on his offer, she could see what looked to be surprise written all over his face. He didn't expect her to let him help her, did he? Honestly, Saleth couldn't blame him. He wasn't socially gifted and Saleth had seemed aggressive toward them earlier. Her sudden change of mind was enough to shock anyone.
As Saleth stood there, the other cleared his throat nervously, still red in the face. He felt the need to assure her that there was no need for her to tear him apart. His Gummi Ship was outside of town. So long as they got there with him in one piece, he'd take her to wherever that she needed to go. It sounded like he was attempting to make a joke but he just sounded frightful of her or more so the thought of the journey toward the Gummi Ship. After all, Saleth had smelled a strong scent of wolves when she got a whiff of the outside air.
"If you're talking about the wolves, I say they've me to worry about. I can take on my dragon form if we encounter too many."
The other finally turned away and began to take the lead, Then, something seemed to go on above his head before he had looked back over at her with a jolt. Saleth furrowed a brow at him. He finally introduced himself and the weasel. His name was Kresston and his weasel's name was Wesley. According to Kresston, they could just be called Kress and Wes. It was at this point that Wes piped in. When he told her not to point out their names rhymed, Saleth gave the weasel a flat look. She hadn't cared to even consider that. Sure, she did take notice but she wasn't one to care enough to mention it anyway. In her eyes, it was pointless. When Wes told her to not go around touching anything of their's in the Gummi Ship, she just chuckled darkly at him.
"Like I would want to touch anything of your's anyway, fur ball."
Now, it was Saleth's turn to introduce herself. Bringing her gaze back onto Kress as he told her to just ignore Wes, and explained that he didn't warm up to strangers, she piped up. "Neither do I." There was a brief pause before Saleth finally introduced herself. Her expression was neutral. "The name's Saleth." Now, they all knew each other's names.
Kress finally decided for them to move on, speaking to her about how he was sure that where they were going was the right way. Quietly, Saleth had followed them. As they went, she glanced at their surroundings, bored. Soon enough, they came across the white wardrobe she had seen earlier. It was sleeping but this time, it was right next to where they were going. As they passed it, Saleth looked up at its face. No sooner had she taken her eyes off of it when the worst happened! A loud SNAP was heard and Saleth was gone from sight!
In actuality, Saleth was inside the wardrobe! "HEY! LET ME OUT!" came a muffled shout that was Saleth's. There was an awful lot of banging and clanging in the wardrobe, which seemed undisturbed for a moment before bursting open. Out came Saleth...in garments that weren't even her's. For one, Saleth wasn't the sort that you would picture in such a tight dress. Looking at herself, Saleth looked utterly appalled. Her pupils turned to slits as she rounded on the wardrobe, that still somehow managed to remain asleep.
"GIVE MY CLOTHES BACK!" Saleth roared at it. For a fleeting moment, one would probably notice the lack of the white wristband around Saleth's wrist. On it, there would be a set of numbers and letters. The kind of tattoo one would expect a prisoner to have written on their skin. Since Saleth was too preoccupied with yelling at the wardrobe, she didn't realize the band was missing before diving back into the wardrobe. Several times, she came out in different outfits, none of them her's before finally...she came out in her attire again.
"Damn wardrobe!" Saleth growled, unamused.

Wolves? What in the world was this woman talking about? Well, it didn't really matter, Kress simply had to lead the way and get out of this place. That didn't sound like it would be too hard, but Kress had a sinking feeling it would be extremely difficult. Having a foul feeling in the air between Wes and Saleth, well, that just made this situation feel even more like a train wreck. If things were looking bleak from just giving each other their names, Kress had little hopes for the journey back to his ship. Speaking of names, Kress would give the girl a warm smile after hearing her's was Saleth. It was always nice to hear names that originated from other worlds, it was just a neat way for the boy to see just what kind of culture the person came from. "That's a nice name, Saleth. Nice to meet you!" Trying to get some of the sour vibes Wes was letting out, Kress would ultimately feel as if he failed with that idea, as he would continue to trudge on forward. Any bit of good his comments may have done would have done would be instantly countered with his partner's rude one, so perhaps his best course of action would be to just get to his ship and not ruffle any feathers.
After a bit of time, Kress would come to another fork in the path ahead of him, prompting him to rest his hands on his hips and grumbled a bit. "Agh, dammit! Which way was it?" Tapping his foot, Kress would be just about ready to wing it and pick a direction, but a loud slamming sound entered his ears before he could make any direction. In a quick motion, Kress yanked his two pistols out of their holsters and spun around, aiming the handguns straight behind him. "Wes, Lightning!" Kress had called out the element so fast, he hadn't taken the time to even look at what was behind him, seeing only a lone wardrobe behind. Peculiar indeed, but the thing that concerned him more was the complete absence of Saleth. Was the slam her entering a door? Perhaps she had run off, finally having enough of the two? Kress really couldn't be too sure, as he had never dealt with a dragon before. Hell, he had barely even dealt with other people, but he was fairly certain disappearing without a word wasn't the norm.
Though, Kress wouldn't have to wonder where Saleth went for long, as within a few seconds, Kress could hear the girl shouting from inside the wardrobe, causing him to tilt his head to the side and stare in confusion until Saleth emerged from the wardrobe. She seemed unharmed, but definitely not wearing what she was earlier, but very angry. Though, Kress found it tough to look at Saleth in her predicament, he could just feel the uncomfortable and angry vibe from her body language, meaning he had some sort if idea that this was not an outfit that she'd wear. Wes, on the other hand, wasn't as nice to Saleth. Whistling at the dragon, Wes cackle to himself as she kept enter and exiting the wardrobe. He found comforting to know that the inanimate object in this house were rude to someone else other than him, having that someone else be Saleth was just an added bonus. Though, despite his mocking attitude towards the whole wardrobe malfunction, the weasel did notice one odd then while he was shamelessly looking over Saleth's features in the dress... she seemed to have some sort of bar code on her wrist.
Of course, Wes wasn't smart enough to make the connection of a prisoner having a tattoo like that, which they commonly did, but Wes needn't bring that up just yet. After what had just happened, the weasel had plenty of material to work with, he could save the mysterious tattoo for if he ran out. Chuckling to himself a bit, Wes would smirk smugly at the dragon. "Hey now, don't be so upset, Sally or whatever your name was, it could have been worse. That wardrobe could have attacked Kress! That would have hurt all our eyes. I didn't see one gender-appropriate outfit in there! Let's just count that as a victory." With Wes around, Kress' red-stained face wouldn't be going anywhere any time soon, that was for sure. Slapping his partner on the back of the head, Kress slid his pistols back into his holsters. "Yeah, if you're not hurt or anything, can we get away from this thing? I-uh, I really don't want to find out if this thing has any more outfits..."
Walking away from the area rather quick, Kress didn't even bother to see if Saleth was keeping up with him. He may not have fully believed the furniture and knick-knacks of this castle were alive, but Kress was not about to test it that wardrobe. The result of him being wrong was not something he was about to face, that was too much of a consequence for Kress to handle. Turning down another hallway, the boy would once again feel as if he was lost in this place. Looking at the surroundings in the hallway he was in, the only thing that caught the boy's eye was a rather large window. It wasn't much, but if anything Kress could use it to maybe see where exactly they were in the castle. Better yet, maybe the window could be used as some sort of short-cut to the outside of the castle. That'd be the day. Kress would begin walking towards the window carefully, as after something a innocent as a wardrobe had attacked Saleth, he really wasn't sure just what objects in the room would attack him or not.
After a bit of a struggle, Kress was able to budge the big window open, once again showing off his supreme lack of muscles. Though, peering out the window, Kress would as if his brain muscle had failed him, which was the one he had always relied on the most. "Ho boy. Well, this is a bit of a pickle." When he had first seen and opened the window, the boy had assumed he was on the second floor of the castle, first floor if he was lucky, but seeing that he was in fact on the third floor, that was a lot to take in. How in the Gods names did he manage to lead them up a floor? Boy, this day just kept getting better and better. Cupping his left hand over his eyes, Kress shook his head as he turned towards Saleth. "Okay!" he'd say, clapping his hands together. "We're officially lost! Not only did I manage to lead us up a floor, we are now lost in a weird castle full of inanimate objects that move. To make it worse, the worst one we've encountered so far was a wardrobe who enjoyed playing dress-up a bit too much, and there could easily be a more dangerous object in here. Gods, I don't like this place."
Hearing his partner admit to being lost, the weasel would growl at him before shooting a glare towards Kress. "Let it be known, before all of this started, I voted against coming in this damn castle!" Though, Wes wasn't done just yet, as his attention set on Saleth. "And you! Kress wouldn't have forgotten where we were if you hadn't paraded those damn chest-bumps around in that dress. He's just a boy! How do expect him to focus with those thing poking out?!"
"Wait, what?! That's not what happened at a-."
"Shut up, Kress, you're broken! You see that? You broke him! His brains all mush now! How do you sleep at night?!"
The red color still burning bright in his cheeks, Kress would grab his hat and pull over his eyes, in some sort of attempt to hide his shame. "Please do me a favor and eat him!" Kress would say in a joking tone, though part of him wasn't joking.

Saleth allowed the weasel to be such a jerk. If circumstances were different, she'd give the tiny thing something to fear. After all, she hadn't revealed her dragon form just yet. As they went, she heard Kress compliment her name. Honestly, she didn't care if sounded nice or not. It was her name, plain and simple. She didn't pay much attention to names like other beings did. Names were names. In response, she just simply nodded.
As they went, when the wardrobe attacked, she didn't hear what was going on outside. Doubtless, the wardrobe had taken a nice piece of her pride with the things it did. How she hated that clothing it kept putting on her. Saleth didn't exactly wear formal attire. Her's usually consisted of something casual. Currently, she wore her tank top and knee length shorts. However, once she got home, she planned on getting back in her martial arts attire that she used to wear all the time. Her mind was set on just making it home. She could find munny to get herself a new one.
When Saleth had finally returned, adorned in her normal attire, she looked furious. While Wes had that smug look on his face, stating it could have been worse if Kress had turned out to be the victim, she didn't look the least bit amused. Kress, red as ever, stated that if Saleth wasn't hurt then they could move on. Saleth said nothing as they did before turning toward the wardrobe, glaring. Her hand light up with a light as she charged up an attack. At this point, the wardrobe actually woke up and turned and ran before Saleth could unleash her attack on it.
"That's right, you run!" Saleth roared after it.
Only then was she able to fully focus on the situation at hand. She wasn't too sure of it but she believed they were lost. Kress was just too nervous to admit it. The three of them came upon an open window. Kress walked over to it and looked out. When he took sight of the outside, he finally turned to Saleth. Only then did he admit they were lost. Saleth gave him an unamused look. However, over something that petty, she wasn't going to kill him over it.
It didn't take long before Wes started speaking again. He had told Kress that he hadn't agreed to come in here in the first place. Yet, the creature still did. So, in a way, he was just as responsible for getting lost too. Then, the weasel turned on her. Since when did she have anything to do with the situation? Apparently, Wes believed that Saleth's glorious globes had something to do with Kress's getting them lost. Needless to say, Saleth wasn't amused in the slightest at the sexist remarks the creature was making. As her pupils turned to slights, a light illuminated Saleth. It was so bright that it hid her from sight. If Wes knew what was happening, he would have run.
The light, as soon as it faded, soon revealed Saleth. Well, except that she wasn't the Saleth they knew by appearance this time around. Yes, Saleth had just transformed into her dragon form. She was quite large compared to them. However, not so titanic that she couldn't fit in the castle they were in. She let out a low, menacing growl in response to what Wes had said before Kress spoke.
"I'd be more than happy to oblige!" Saleth replied, surprisingly. Who would think a dragon could speak in that form? Her voice hadn't even changed in octaves or tone. So it was still easy to tell that it was Saleth. Her eyes were the same. However, her spines were black and the rest of her body was silver in color. She shimmered in what little light there was before focusing on the window. Snorting out a slight puff of smoke in Wes's direction, Saleth made her way around Kress as she examined the window.
"Then it looks like I shall make us an exit."
Without waiting or caring for what consequences they would face, Saleth reared up and used her left foreleg to punch out the window completely. Then, she tore asunder the stone to clear a path big enough for her to exit. Turning to Kress and Wes, she snorted. "I'll fly us out of this." With that, she extended a foreleg for Kress to use to climb onto her back. "Hold tight. I can't guarantee I'll be able to catch you if you fall." With that, Saleth waited to see what the others would do.

Uh oh. Turning his head away from Saleth as she gave him a look that just screamed annoyance, the boy would be ready for her to rip him to shreds. Though, hearing the girl growl at Wes, it seemed Kress wasn't the one in danger here. Though, with the two being connected physically and spiritually, allowing Saleth to eat Wes would be just as painful for the boy as it would for the weasel. Tempting, but he'd have to pass. Kress wouldn't have guessed what would come next though, as Saleth would begin producing some sort of light, a sort of blinding light at that. Kress would have to use his right arm to block the incoming light, slipping the goggles on his head down over his eyes. The goggles didn't allow the boy to see through the glowing light, but it at least made him not have to cover them as Saleth glowed on. Wes on the other hand, that little nuisance wasn't fortunate enough to have any sort of coverage for his eyes, leaving Kress with a smug attitude towards the weasel. He had offered to make Wes a matching pair of goggles like his back on their home world, but the weasel declined calling them "too nerdy," for him. This was a special moment for Kress.
Once the light had died down, Kress' eyes would widen with the sight of Saleth's new form. Sure, she had said she was a dragon before, and even hinted at having another form, but this was still a bit shocking for Kress. It's one thing to hear a rather human looking creature say they are a dragon, but seeing it was a entirely different story. While Kress' reaction to her true form was a bit surprising, the boy was still seeing this as more of a positive aspect for Saleth. He was fascinated with her when she just had a wings and tail, this was like Christmas for such a nerdy boy like Kress. Wes wasn't so positive with his feelings towards Saleth's new groove. Growling at the dragon, Wes would blow air out of his nose angrily before crossing his arms. "Big whoop, you got fatter. Give me a month with a room filled to the brim with cookies, I can do the same thing, sister." Apparently fearless from the comfort of his partner's shoulder, the weasel would insult the female dragon once more, though his voice did sound a bit more shaky than it had in previous insults. Perhaps he wasn't completely fearless of Saleth in this form, even if he tried to play it off as if he found her as dangerous as a kitten.
Unfortunately for Kress, he was basically stuck with the weasel as if he was a second head, so this just made the boy even more nervous of being around Saleth. Sure, he had been around strangers with Wes before, but those strangers normally weren't able to rip him to shreds with ease. Well, maybe they were, Kress was a twig-like man. That being the case, the boy would quickly try to talk over the weasel, he'd rather have Saleth hear something positive after Wes' insult. Perhaps the comments could even each other out. Hopefully, at least. "Holy heifers, you weren't kidding! You're really a dragon. A cool-colored dragon at that!" As dorky as it sounded, the boy was being completely genuine. He truly was excited to see a live dragon in person, hearing that Saleth could still speak perfectly normal while she was in this form, that only made the situation better. "Heh, I wish. If I wouldn't feel every second of you consuming him, I'd gladly hand the little bugger over. Can all dragons speak? Even when they're in this form, I mean?"
Kress had heard that dragons were mindless beast's back home, so this would definitely interest him. Saleth alone seemed to already disprove most of what he had been told about the creatures, so he wouldn't be too surprised to hear his people had gotten another 'fact' about her kind wrong. Still, it seemed as if she had a plan to go along with this transformation, just not one that Kress was ready for. As Kress watched Saleth punch a hole in the wall of the castle and make it big enough for her to fly out of, he would wince a bit when it was over. Kress didn't know just who the owner of this castle was, but he was pretty much certain that they would not appreciate this gaping hole in their wall in the slightest. Scratching the back of his head, Kress would peer over his left shoulder to converse with his partner, who's jaw was still dropped over what had just happened. "Do we, uh, do we just leave a note? Is that the etiquette in this situations?" Attempting to speak, the weasel would try and think up a better solution, bur would end up shrugging and patting Kress on the shoulder.
"Yeah, I'd say that's common courtesy in this specific situation. Good thinking, Kressy." Having no better idea, Kress reached into his back pocket, pulling out a small piece of notebook paper and scribbling down on it. The note read: "Sorry, we owe you one wall! K&W." Slipping a nail out of the tool bag on Wes' back, Kress nailed the note to the wall, using the butt of his pistol as a makeshift hammer. "There, the owner can't possibly get mad at this now." Admiring his partner's work, Wes scratched his chin. "Wait, are we actually ever gonna pay this sucker back for a wall?!" Before their rambling could go on any longer, the duo's attention would settle on Saleth, who had told them to... climb aboard her? Well, Kress would pretty much be set for life at this point. Not only had he seen and met a real dragon, he was going to ride one now? This was all too good to be true. Though, Kress' pet wasn't so eager to hop on dragon airlines just yet.
"Now you hold on one damn second here, Kress! You expect me to hop on the fatso express flights without any objection?! She's threatened to eat me and now you want me to trust her enough to let her take me out of here? Ha! fat chance! Speaking of fat, get a load of that kan-." Sighing angrily, Kress flicked his friend on the nose, pointing at him sternly. "If you can't play nice, Wes, your ass'll be walking back to the ship. Keep your freaking mouth shut until we get there or I might let her eat you." Rolling his eyes as he climbed up Saleth, Kress would gently position himself on her back. He didn't really just want to plop down on her like he would when he sat down in his ship, she had been nice enough to allow the two ride on her back in the first place. Giving Saleth a gentle pat to let her know he was settled in, He'd grab make sure Wes was clinging to his shoulder before opening his mouth. "Thanks for letting us hitch a ride, Saleth, one of us appreciates it."
"Kiss-ass..."
"Wes! what did I-."
"Yeah, yeah. I'm shutting it.

Saleth could sense the fear coming off of the weasel just by smell. Speak as he might, it was obvious to her that he was scared. If it were just her and Wes, she knew the creature wouldn't be talking so tough. As for what he said about her form, she simply ignored him. Only a fool would think she got fat. Dragons could be fat but her's was slender in appearance and rippled with obvious muscle. No, there was nothing fat about her.
When she had stated that she'd be happy to oblige, Kress responded that if he wouldn't feel her devouring his friend the entire way, he would have. Her eyes seemed to light up a little at that. Not literally light up but figuratively, as if she found that amusing but she didn't laugh or give any other indication that she found that funny. When Kress asked her if all dragons could speak in this form, she closed her eyes.
"My race can, as for others, I do not know."
After that, Saleth had focused on the window and tore a hole in the wall large enough for her to pass through. Turning toward Kress, she heard him react to the wall situation. She rolled her eyes and shook her massive head at what he was doing. They were writing a note for the owner of this castle. Saleth snorted at that. "If they can afford this damn place they can afford a new wall." Wes had asked Kress if he actually planned on repaying the owner here the cost for a new wall. Saleth hoped not. Just because she made a hole in the wall didn't mean he was responsible for it.
Once she was sure they were done, Saleth had bent down and extended a foreleg for Kress to climb so that they could get onto her back. For Kress's sake, it was a lucky thing he sat down gently. The spines on her back weren't for nothing. If he had plopped, he might've stabbed something of his that was very vital. As Wes argued with Kress, Kress argued back, saying that if the weasel didn't shut up he'd be walking or might even let Saleth eat him. The weasel finally agreed to shut his trap.
'About time!' Saleth thought as Kress gave her a pat. A sign that he was ready. Saleth rose, retracting her foreleg now that Kress and Wes were on her back. Kress was letting her know that at least one of the two appreciated the help. Of course, Wes called him a kiss ass for it. Saleth snorted derisively at them before crouching on the edge of the wall.
"So you say it's outside of the village? Hmph, might as well fly the whole way."
Without anything else to say, Saleth leapt out of the window and extended her wings. The others would notice the sudden dip before the air current caught Saleth's wide spread wings and lifted them up. Powerfully, Saleth gave her wings a flap as she turned her nose towards where she intended to go. She could smell smoke ahead which indicated some kind of settlement. Behind her, her tail moved to balance her. The speed at which they moved was alarming. No one would expect a dragon to move so swiftly. If she didn't need a Gummi Ship, Saleth could easily fly just fine on her own from what it looked like.
Once Saleth spotted the village, she circled like a great, large bird as she dipped lower and lower. Once she got close to the ground, Saleth pulled her wings in and dropped the last ten feet onto the ground next to where what looked to be a ship. Bending down, she extended a foreleg again to let Kress and Wes clamber off. The flight was exhilarating for her. Even if it hadn't been that long since she last flown, she still enjoyed the freedom of flight. In the sky, she was boss. Nothing could contend with her in the air. Nothing alive, that is. Ships, on the other hand, it depended on the skill of the pilot.
"Is this your ship?" Saleth questioned before that same light enveloped her and she transformed back into her form they had seen her in before. Somehow, she still had her clothes on.

"Yeah, it should just be right outside th- hokay then!" Before Kress could let Saleth know she was correct, he'd be interrupted by the dragon already taking flight. Even with how smart he was, he still appeared unable to tell that Saleth's question was obviously rhetorical, but he highly doubted that she would care about this remark or if she'd even hear it. With the initial leap into the air, Kress figured he'd be able to handle what ever kind of speed Saleth could handle, as he had built countless contraptions that were airborne and he was able to handle those pretty well. Sort of. They may have crashed more often than not, but regardless, the speed of the crafts he had designed were never the problem, so the logical scenario that Kress came to was just this being a simple ride to his ship. Though, the boy couldn't be more wrong. Once Saleth's wings caught some wind, Kress would let out a muffled yelp. How fast the female dragon could fly was definitely faster than Kress would have expected. He'd have to to readjust his grip on Saleth a few times before finally having a grip that would keep him from being flung off of Saleth's back.
After his moment of terror was over, Kress was able to lift his head up, getting a nice view of what it must have looked like when ever Saleth took flight. Kress had seen the view from inside his ship or even from his flying devices he had made, but this blew those experiences out of the water. Looking down at the town as she was flying above it, Kress' eyes would light up as the dragon began to lower herself towards his ship. Not only was Saleth able to fly at great speeds, it appeared she was able to make sharp turns as well, leaving Kress very impressed. After all, he had tried to build wing-like gliders in his past, but they always had trouble breaking or making turns. There was something about Saleth's wings and structure that allowed the system to work out, which only made Kress more eager to learn more about this dragon. Kress wouldn't ask the dragon right away though, as he figured she was probably annoyed with his curiosity by now. Any normal person would have been sick of his questions after the first batch, Kress could only imagine how this poor dragon felt. Unfortunately, all good things had to come to an end, leaving Kress a bit bummed out as he slid off of Saleth's back.
Looking at the run-down looking Gummi Ship, Kress would nod his head and turn his attention back to Saleth. To his surprise, the woman was already back in her human-like form, with her clothes on no less. How'd that work? Sure, Kress was grateful that he wouldn't have to deal with the embarrassing situation of a naked Saleth, but that was just against all logic. Though, Kress wasn't one to question the logic of other worlds, as he was the one with a talking weasel on his shoulder. Resting his hands on his hips, Kress approached his hand-made Gummi Ship, giving the hunk of junk a good smack, resulting in the door of his ship slamming down in front of him. Sadly, this was a rather common occurrence for Kress, it was just one of the many 'benefits' of having to make his own Gummi Ship out of scrap parts. Though, despite being made out of scrap parts and old metal, the ship didn't look bad in it's color. Well, unless the person didn't like the color yellow. Much like his outfit, Kress' ship had a nice black and yellow theme to it. On both sides of the ship in a light-brown outline was the duo's family crest, which was just a silhouette of an eagle flying through a crescent moon.
As the door hit the ground, Wes scurried down Kress' body, making a rapid dash for the pair's ship. He had promised to be nice to Saleth during the ride to the ship, but there was no way Wes would just play nice the entire way to Saleth's destination, that was asking too much of the little guy. Shrugging at Saleth, Kress would finally respond to her question. "Yep, this is it. Nothing too spectacular, I know, but this thing has a bit more power than it lets on. The thin metal it's made of really helps this ship gain some speed, it's just not very powerful. Kind of why I call it the "Kressten-Cruiser." Turning a little red at his nerdy title for his ship, Kress shuffled towards his ship, quickly walking into the Gummi Ship. Though, before he completely hid his shame, he'd partially turn his head towards Saleth once more. "Once you're ready to go, let me know. Um, no rush though, if you wanna enjoy some fresh air, go ahead. Well, you don't have to enjoy fresh air, but you can. I'll, uh, I'll just be in here..."
He didn't seem to be getting any better at talking to this dragon. Scooting in to his ship, Kress would disappear from Saleth's sight, leaving her completely alone outside unless she followed him into the ship immediately. Though, Wes would finally break his silence after Kress walked through the door, no longer being on the dragon's back gave him his attitude back, sadly. "Hey! Dragon-butt! Don't you think my warning doesn't stand! Don't you touch anything, you hear?!" The weasel would call out from the ship. Kress wouldn't say anything, as he was sure Saleth knew to just ignore him at this point. She seemed smart enough to pick that up anyway.
Once she was ready, all she had to do was tell Kress what world she intended to go to. As fishy as it seemed, there was no catch, Kress was simply deciding to help this woman out. She seemed like she was nice enough to Kress, not someone he would consider a villain, anyway. Of course, if he could learn more about the way she flew, he wouldn't complain, but it was in no way a condition of sorts to Kress.

Saleth didn't wait to hear a response to what she had said earlier. She remembered where he claimed it was prior. Leaping out into the night sky, she felt freedom wash over her. It was thrilling to be in the heavens again. Only up here did she ever feel truly free from whatever burdens below she had on the ground. Although Kress and Wes were on her back, she had seemingly forgotten that important fact. Unfortunately for them, Saleth shot forth in the air as fast as anything. It truly was remarkable how fast she could fly. No one would expect a dragon or creature to fly almost as swiftly as any airplane or ship. Okay, maybe not that extreme but she was very fast.
It was lucky for Wes and Kress that she didn't do any loops in the air or flips. She could do amazing acrobatics in the air if she needed to. Kress wasn't wrong in thinking that she was very agile in the air and flexible. By the time they got to the Gummi Ship, the flight hadn't taken long at all. Walking would have taken much much longer. As she landed on the ground, as soon as Kress slid off with Wes, Saleth transformed. It was a mystery how her clothes managed to stay on. No doubt, her kind had figured out a way for their human forms to not end up naked every time they changed between forms.
Thankfully, Kress hadn't asked Saleth anymore questions and answered her's. The Gummi Ship didn't look all that safe but if Wes and Kress were walking over to it fine then she guessed it was operable. Otherwise, who in their right mind would try to fly something too dangerous for flight? As Kress walked over to it, Saleth watched as he had to smack the thing. It seemed old by the way he was treating it. Still, it seemed sturdy enough to move. What Kress said next, after telling her that she could enjoy the fresh air a bit before entering, he rambled. Eventually, he gave up and headed inside. He was an awkward one, that one.
Then, Wes decided to find his mouth again. Saleth heard him telling her to not touch any of their things. Honestly, Saleth had no interest in shiny trinkets or bothering with anything, really. She might be a dragon but the myth of them loving treasure wasn't always true.
"Whatever," Saleth commented, not really caring about the weasel's threat. If he tried anything, she could always eat him. Finally, she entered the Gummi Ship after the two. As she stepped inside, she just narrowly pulled her tail out from the entrance just before the door came down to seal them all within the confines of the ship. It wasn't huge but it was roomy. Silently, Saleth stalked over to where she could find Kress. He would likely be piloting the ship. Where should she go? Well, there was one world she had been intending to go to for a long time since her prison break. By now, she guessed the prison's guards had given up searching for her. It was time to go home...and find out why her family hadn't come looking for her for so long. Did they think she was dead? Or did they just not care? Saleth had to find out.
"If it's not too far and out of your way, I'd like to go to the Land of Dragons. If it's too far, at least bring me to a world close enough where I can get my own ship."

Once Saleth made her way into the ship, Kress would immediately sit up straight and turn his head forward. This was a person he was supposed to be helping, he couldn't imagine that seeing him slouched over the pilot seat would make he look like a trust worthy pilot. Raising an eyebrow at Wes, who was taking up the seat next to him, Kress picked up the weasel and placed him on his shoulder. Normally, Wes taking up the second seat in his ship wasn't a problem, but then again, Kress rarely ever had more than just he and Wes in the ship any way. Making Saleth stand while his weasel took a seat that was far bigger than him, that just seemed rude. Wes wouldn't open his mouth, though, instead he'd simply growl at Saleth as he curled up on the boy's shoulder. Though his back was turned away from both Kress and Saleth, Wes would keep his ears open, as he wanted to know just where they were going to take Saleth to. Hopefully, it wasn't somewhere too far away.
When Saleth spoke up and mentioned the Land of Dragons, the weasel's eyes would bug open as he darted his head back at Saleth. "Oh, no. You're out of your freaking mind if you think me and Kress here are taking you to that damn world! Tell her, Kress. Tell her we're not touching that damn place with a ten foot pole!" While Wes' eyes seemed to have fear in them, Kress' were the exact opposite. He had assumed the name 'Land of Dragons' didn't mean it had actual dragons there, but Saleth wanted to be taken there. If Kress could run into other dragons, there was no way he was going to listen to his partner about this one. True, they may have crashed there once, but that was when Kress was first starting to fly his Gummi Ship, he had grown in his skill since their first visit to the world. With his mind made up, he'd only hope that any other dragon they ran into was at least as friendly as Saleth. Kress wouldn't mind if they were more so, but that seemed rather unlikely.
"Well, considering I offered to take you where you needed to go, I can't really see how the Land of Dragons would be too far." Working the controls of his ship, Kress would lift it off the ground and fly off of this world. It seemed his next stop was Land of Dragons. Hopefully he wouldn't get lost in a castle this time.
