Himeiji was a bit stunned herself by the gap in years. However, she felt it was something to be expected due to the details Jessy had given her prior. She smiled wide at the thought of this, but this was probably due to her own wanting of suggesting that Jessy freeze herself, or find a way of traveling those 900 years into the future. However, she was quite curious of the culture at the time, due to the fact she had never been to Earth herself, only read about it through books and the like. Himeiji smiled, but could tell that there was something that plagued Jessy deeply. Her aura had shifted to something less cheery and that was enough to get Himeiji's attention.
To cheer her date up, Himeiji gently reached across the table, and placed a hand upon Jessy's face. Hime gently caressed it and smiled.
"There's nothing to worry about our time gap, Jessy, if that is what you were focusing on. I forgot to mention that I can see a person's aura with these eyes. I could see it in yours that you were distressed. Don't worry about a thing, dear. I'm having a great time and I want you to do the same. Okay?" She asked and assured Jessy as best she could. Himeiji carefully took her soft, pale hand away from her date's face when the food had arrived.
The smell of the food was enticed her to lick her lips a bit. She thanked the server by giving a small bow to her. Once she had, she noticed the aura of Jessy changing dramatically once the food arrived. Hime smiled and took a look at her burger. Without much hesitation, she picked up the sandwich and bit into it. This was the first time she had ever eaten something like this. The traces of grease, the charcoal taste from the beat, the condiments and other add-ons to the burger, made Himeiji's eyes widen with delight. She blushed a bit more and couldn't help, but to take a few more savage bites into it. Her stomach growled loudly at this point and she herself had sighed in elation, once she swallowed the first few bites.
"So good! I've really been missing out on this kind of stuff..." She said softly, then she turned her attention towards Jessy. "Thank you for this experience. I've really been enjoying myself so far!"

At first JessY would twitch slightly from the unexpected motion by Himeiji, but would otherwise be welcoming to the touch by looking up and smiling at her. She blushed pretty hard, not used to receiving affection from people she didn't know really well. She enjoyed it, very much so, and hoped there would be many more moments like the hand-holding and this in the future should their relationship persist beyond today. She wasn't sure how to really react either, just sitting tight and going with it for the time being.
Then she was given a more direct and verbal cue. Seems Himeiji didn't pull any punches - direct and honest sparing the unnecessary details. The amount of bonus points JessY attributed to the girl had just quadrupled with that one factor alone. What made her a little uncomfortable after the fact she admitted to being able to read auras. A small pit in her stomach formed, albeit a small one. One thing JessY was phenomenal at was wearing a mask over what she really felt, and all of that was out of the window with that detail. That would make things difficult, but not impossible. Where there was a will there was a way.
"Dang, that's one of like... my favorite powers and everyone has it except me..." It was a solid cover to start, it was truthful but it served as a great distraction. "Oh well. Yeah I have a thing about people finding the littlest or easiest things to dislike me for any reason, so peculiar details such as a nine hundred year difference sort-of heightened my anxiety. Just... genuine reassurance is all I need, if I hear you physically say 'it's fine' then I'm fine. It does work that simply." Although what she proposed was a plus was actually a wash; her insecurity is something that shouldn't be there in the first place, then again, she was talking to someone who underwent something... much worse. At least, that's how she perceived it. That thought alone calmed her down quite a bit. If JessY wasn't judging, then why the hell would Himeiji do so?
As they were eating however the other girl took it upon herself to announce her state of content. It was flattering, but JessY also had a mouthful of food at the time. Struggling to get it chewed and down, her reply would come out a little late. "Honestly, thank you! I haven't really had time to make friends, I seem to be always on the move for something. Sitting down for something different is... nice." Well, that was one way of putting it. She normally considered social activity a waste of time, though in this context, it was quite the opposite. She was looking forward to a day like today for a very long time.

Himeiji would smile and blushed a bit herself, after seeing the reaction and happiness she had brought upon the face of Jessy. Himeiji was glad that the young woman was able to jump back into her cheery state once more. Jessy went on to explain her want of being able to read auras, and about her social anxiety and that the remedy for it, would always be a moment like this one.
"I'll admit, the power is helpful for a lot of things. I'm sure you'd be able to train your eyes and mind to attune yourself to the auras of others. All you need is some careful guidance." Himeiji stated and assured Jessy that she could gain a power, such as aura reading, eventually. "I'm glad it does work that simply. Though, I feel I shouldn't have a problem with that. I am an honest and patient person, but nonetheless and understanding and caring one. Never feel self-conscious around me, Jessy. I wouldn't pass off any judgement towards you, without first judging myself." She furthered her reassurance to Jessy about her anxiety and of course, her self-conscious thoughts between the two.
They happily ate thereafter and Himeiji couldn't have been any happier. Her face held a calmed and contented look about it, while her inside emotions were full with positive energies.
"Yes, yes. I share your same situation. I was always one on the move back where I'm from. A change of pace like this is definitely welcomed and appreciated." She stated and would put down her burger to try the soda. She'd smile more and felt even happier. The food was most certainly delicious.

It seems the other girl was eerily reassuring. JessY enjoyed it regardless, finding someone a bit more aware of the gentler sides of interaction, something she thought was lost a long time ago which she would never find in another human these days. Ironically enough, it comes from the human with genetic experimentation, but that was besides the point. It was almost too good to be true, but then she had to remember who she was dealing with. Someone who could provide a decent sparring match for JeY of all people. JessY reassured herself that someone of this caliber wouldn't waste their time with someone else if they didn't feel it was worth it. This would only be a temporary band-aid to her anxiety.
So, JessY would just have to be happy with how things were going, no matter what she was afraid of. Himeiji's words were touching, but for now, they were only words. In time she would most likely be able to prove them, but they would have to be good enough for now. It was bad for her health to be so fixated on such useless thoughts anyway, she would have to snap herself out of it. There was a much more interesting conversation to be had. JessY nodded to being reassured about Himeiji's intention, not drawing the issue out any further with unnecessary verbal responses. Instead, once she was done chewing her current bite, she would go on to continue the more productive conversation.
"Umm, train me?" she would finally say once she swallowed. "It was my understanding that being able to perceive auras is a gift; like a sixth sense, you have it or you don't. I can't really... just detect people without seeing or hearing them, so I don't think there's any value in going through the trouble. I mean, unless you have some evidence otherwise. I could be wrong." She was skeptical of the ordeal, but she wanted to express that she didn't think it was impossible. For the ability to read auras she would do anything, but she wasn't going to get excited at a mere mention of the possibility. This was the simplest way to curb any hasty assumptions without being a huge dick about the issue.
As for Himieji also enjoying a change of pace, that was enlightening to hear. JessY had no clue what someone like her does on a day-to-day basis, but if it's anything like her own life, it must be pretty hectic. Of course, she never expected anyone to just be a blatant adventurer like she was, but that doesn't mean other lifestyles aren't similar, just the specific contexts vary a little more but it's still busy and very time-consuming. Whenever JessY was finished with a particular segment of her journey, she would play her ocarina to warp somewhere random and new, but always right in the heat of things. She would carry out what objectives she wandered into, then at the end play her ocarina again. Compared to her old life, she highly preferred this. She was a decently strong person who seemed to be making a difference everywhere she went. And now... well she was across from a mighty fine woman who was apparently her date! Life was pretty great right now.

Himeiji laughed a little bit. She understood Jessy's suspicions when it came to the broad term of aura. Jessy was right in a way, but it was from a limited perspective. Himeiji took another drink from her soda to wash down a bit of her burger, after she ate a bit too much of it. She shook out her head from all the fizziness of the soda and giggled softly to herself.
"Excuse my weird table manners. But, yes, your skepticism is well understood, Jessy. Let me clarify a bit. The ability to see and sense auras is indeed a technique gifted by a sixth sense, however, it is much more complex than a 'gift.' We, as people, humans, beastkin, or any sentient being, are born with an aura, or some form of power. No matter how average the human being, in your case Jessy as you are a human, are born with an aura. Your ability to manipulate matter to create the flower, is a sign that there is a lot more potential locked away within you. Much like how you freely created the flower, through vigorous yet peaceful mediation, you can connect your mind, body, and spirit to that of your aura. Doing so grants you free-form manipulation of your aura and the ability to exercise it in any way you see fit." Himeiji paused to let Jessy take in all of that. She then held out her hand and took a deep breath. A stream of white energy surrounded her arm and hand, before it took the form of an ethereal blade. Himeiji would grip the blade and tapped her fingers against its handle. "See? My aura is described as being neutral, thus giving it this ghastly appearance. When I first received my eyes, I was blind for a couple of weeks, Jessy. My teacher taught me how to see once more and now I see auras permanently, because if I ever were to stop, I'd be truly blind." She concluded and smiled. Himeiji dispersed the sword and hoped that Jessy understood the spiritual science behind her explanation.

When the dark-eyed girl offered to clarify, it sounded like a promising situation. Maybe she was wrong, maybe there was a little more to this gig than just being a human. She already noticed countless things; she was far stronger, more agile and nimble, could jump higher and had better overall physical ability, and not to mention she flipped sexes completely without any explanation. She wondered about the possibility of her being able to tune in on unseen unfelt signals and translating them into some sort of useful information for her brain the process. She wasn't... the most hopeful however, but was open-minded.
It was quite a good thing that she didn't get her hopes up after all, either. Himeiji tried to link JessY's capacity for controlling her weapon to some sort of... well it didn't matter at this point, because there was a clear misunderstanding to clear up here. There was always a misunderstanding about her weapon being interpreted as an inherit ability of JessY herself. She would feel bad about this too, with the other girl going as far as giving a little demonstration on her own, and it was going to be such a let down.
"I uh... hate to burst your bubble, but you've got the wrong idea about the whole 'manipulating matter' thing. You see, I just have a very powerful generator on my person--" she didn't want to give away that it was the pendant she wore, as it was a key weakness for her as she has been exploited in the past. "Which grants me the ability to control a hyper-malleable psychokinetic polymer. The generator stores the energy in a high-density chamber and is linked neurotically to my brain to translate thoughts into actions, much like controlling a 'third arm' of sorts." It was a long-winded explanation, much like Heimeiji trying to justify the possibility that JessY can hone in her aura and control it at a wider range of options. However, in line of controlling a third arm, JessY leaned forward and more of her Ability Energy poured out from her back in the shape of a third human arm and bent over her head, waving at Himeiji. It dissipated instantly after and she put her back to the seat again.
Well, not that JessY didn't have an aura at all. "I'm aware all beings possess an aura, I knew that, but as a completely ordinary human I do not possess the capabilities to really control it. All I have going for me is some highly-inexplicable advanced technology. That flower is not made of my aura." While she had to commend the girl's ability for being able to thoughtfully explain things in an effective way, there was just no convincing JessY that she was capable with something as mystical and crazy as an aura sense. Until it was made apparent that she could do something above and beyond what a typical human could, she was going to reside on the fact that she was just like anyone else; except she had a really fancy toy. That being said, she wasn't trying to be a downer or depressing or anything like that, just... as realistic as possible.

"Ah, in that case, I concede." Himeiji laughed after Jessy explained the reason why she was able to create the flower. There wasn't a single hint of disappointment in Himeiji's voice. Jessy would actually be able to hear a bit of enthusiasm escape the lips of the young assassin. The black-eyed girl was actually glad that Jessy explained how her power worked, because it was something she immediately became curious about after she had given her the flower. "However, Jessy, you are still a skilled human in your own right. I may not have seen your combat capabilities, but I doubt they are as shabby as you make them sound. I am also impressed with your knowledge above all things. Most of the times, that is greatest strength over brute force. But I'm sure you already knew that." She complimented and looked into Jessy's eyes.
Another curiosity soon surfaced in Himeiji's head. She wanted to know where that advanced technology came from and how Jessy managed to get her hands on it. Also, the fact it was connected neurotically to Jessy, meant that there was something going on in her head that allowed her to have masterful control over it. But that was when she remembered their walk from the third district to the restaurant. She was a girl with an astounding imagination.
Himeiji finished up the rest of her food, but still had some soda left. She tried to kill it with a steady drink, but her eyes ended up watering and she quickly pulled her lips away from the straw. She coughed and put a hand to her throat. The entire ordeal was embarrassing to her in a way, so Jessy would be able to notice her cheeks had turned a bit red.
"Forgive me. I'm still not used to how bubbly and stabbing the drink is. Still delicious besides the fact..."

Perhaps the girl was ultimately wrong, but in the end she didn't want to be disappointed. It seemed a bit overbearing to be so pessimistic about the situation, but she saw herself as more realistic than anything. She felt like she would know if controlling and perceiving aura was in her bounds, just like how natural it is for her to control this weapon. JessY is well aware of a gig concerning unnatural human abilities. She's sort of... 'trained' in this event. She's obviously never has powers (and technically still does not) but she used to fantasize quite extensively.
While never imaging any of her dreams would come true, having arrived to this universe... well, anything was possible, even for JessY to be granted a new ability for seeing or using aura. Of course, it would need to be bestowed by someone capable of unlocking that potential, despite being in a plane of existence where the laws of physics were quite stretched, there were still laws of physics and she was still an ordinary human (but with a kick-ass weapon). She is also far more agile, has more strength and can do things she couldn't normally do on Earth, but all she could pin that to is humans being augmented here, rather than granted anything a human normally couldn't do.
Although her date started going into more details about things, JessY was half-day dreaming at this point. She was paying attention and would instantly respond to certain key words probably, but not everything was being fully registered. Her eyes moved occasionally between Himeiji's mouth and sometimes skimmed over her forehead, but they weren't particularly receptive. Realizing she was starting to daze a little bit, JessY snapped her eyes to Himeiji's and became fully attentive right as Himieji ended her last point, straightening her back and putting her arms on her lap (but not suddenly) as well. She wasn't bored nor was she trying to evade her, but sometimes she gets a bit carried away with her imagination. She would feel horrible if Himeiji happened to catch her, but maybe she would get away with this one. Maybe.
"Yeah, if there's one thing I would choose to brag about, it's knowing things." It wasn't the freshest of replies, but it made an excellent stall for her to recap. Most of the time, whenever her head isn't one hundred percent involved in pay attention, she'll grasp everything but it'll take a moment. She was famous for asking '...what?', there being a slight pause, then before the speaker could repeat themselves everything they already said plays back for her and she continues as if she never asked the question. This would be one of those moments. It was a slightly awkward pause, and she had to restrain herself so hard to ask what the girl said, but she knew it would come to her.
Just before JessY could really reply, after it all came back, her date managed to fumble with the soda after inhaling it a little too quick. It prompted the blonde girl to let out a slight giggle. "No worries at all. Honestly." She assured the dark-eyes girl that there was nothing to be ashamed about. Oh yeah, she had something else to respond her. Her assessment of her own skills. "And, well I mean, perhaps I'm not the worst at combat, yeah, but as a regular human with a lot to learn still." Despite the amount of clear wins she's been through, at this point, she remembered all the times she was helpless and outmatched. Sure, she may have seemed good, but it was only against bad opponents. Anyone who at least knew what they were doing tore her apart. Well, not literally. ...Not literally every time, anyway, but that was a story for another day.
Maybe she shouldn't end that on such a negative note. After all, it was Himeiji herself that was trying to be positive in the first place. "That doesn't mean I'm stuck like this forever though! You don't know how thrilled I would be if I could somehow learn some magic or something." She would be thrilled, but she would never believe it was possible. It was true, she had an all-purpose weapon that was much stronger than most magic anyway, but it was only physical matter. Physical matter can only accomplish so much, even if it the only limitation is JessY's imagination. Still, magic was a long shot. One she wouldn't believe was possible.

Himeiji didn't catch onto Jessy's daydreaming instance and focused a bit more on the harsh carbonated feeling, that pelted her throat. Nonetheless, she smiled when Jessy gave the all green to her little flop. Himeiji continued to listen to Jessy as she explained her faults, but the interest or smile that she showed the blonde-girl never left her face. She enjoyed the company this girl gave to her and felt it an interesting change of pace, since her arrival here. Out of all the things Himeiji couldn't keep herself from looking at, though, was the young woman's lips. Hime wouldn't lie to herself when she figured that she wanted to peck Jessy's lips more than once, over the course of their date. However, she kept that feeling to herself and tried to keep her eyes on the beauty of her date's eyes.
"Of course not! No one could ever stay at one place when they work hard to better themselves. Jessy, I do say you have a lot of potential and I would love to see your skills in combat one of these days." Himeiji cheered. She really wanted to see Jessy in action right now, however, she felt that it was a bit rude to ask and would only raise the question once they were done with their meal. Himeiji took a look at her tray and found that all the food was gone. She had eaten good, but didn't necessarily feel it in her stomach.

The other girl's words were soothing, somehow. It wasn't anything she didn't already know, but hearing such a compassionate voice behind it from another person seemed to have much more effect. She was already smiling, but now the girl could really feel it. As for showing her combat skills, JessY initially would've been thrilled because she does quite like attention and exhibition, but now there was the possibility of falling short. That was probably nonsense, Himeiji was probably fine with any level of performance and would even be willing to teach her (since she was clearly better after watching her fight JeY), but it could still be... embarrassing.
There was so much more at stake here. Being a type leaning towards hopelessly romantic, an intimate relationship means far more to her than the average person, so to her this was the chance of a life time. Things were still going pretty well, she was surprised. You know? Maybe she was pumped enough to get some juices flowing. She was already pretty pumped after watching the fight before, and while the excitement she felt was already starting to diminished, the thought of getting right back into it had instantly revitalized that little bit of an edge in her. The problem however is how she could accomplish this...
"Thanks! Really, it means a lot," JessY began saying, not really aware of Himeiji's current relationship with her empty tray and own stomach. "Though maybe the wait wouldn't have to be that long. Maybe the next segment of our date can be some target practice? I mean; I'm not entirely aware of a place for that, but I bet we could find something." Seemed simple enough, the two of them could wander and look for things to hit and there would still be no pressure or expectations in the grand scheme of things. Oh, but what if she didn't want to actually do that now? Shoot. "I mean, only if you'd like. There's tons of things to do." Whew, saved. She'd hate to lock her date into something she wasn't totally interested in tagging along with.

Himeiji's own energy seemed to perk up a bit more, when Jessy said she was on-board for wanting to show off what she already knew. The one thing Himeiji enjoyed and she might have even mentioned it to Jessy already, was the thrill of being in the heat of battle. Being in battle was let all of Himeji's stress out, while filling her mind and body with a pleasure that she could say she became addicted to. However, she wouldn't say anything about that just yet. She couldn't chance it and seem like a battle-lusted monster in front of her date.
"Like those little black things! Or probably a bigger black thing!" Himeiji said excitedly, her composure actually breaking. She didn't notice this until the end and when she did, her face flushed red. "I mean, I'd love to. Exploring this place or somewhere else with you or anywhere, just cutting loose and fighting things, sounds like a wonderful idea to me." She'd say, taking one of Jessy's hands into hers.

It would unfortunately take far too much effort than JessY could produce to stifle the giggle at Himeiji's description of Heartless. It was a description she commonly appointed to other things that her gutter-brain would find hilarious beyond any mature adult's standards, but due to how she said 'black things' straight-faced twice, JessY became quickly overwhelmed. She quickly bent her head down and brought her palm to her face and was subject to a small fit of laughter, one that she was now going to have to explain somehow. The girl was certain her date would be really confused.
Next thing she knew however, her hand was being taken and the sound of Himeiji's unyielding approval reached her ears. Exploring the town sounded great! Though, first things first."I uh, apologize for that, remind me when I inevitably take you back to my place to explain why I thought that was so funny. Anyway, yeah, I'm totally down to walk around a bit. I'm not the most familiar with the Heartless spawn patterns but we're bound to find something." While keeping other girl's hand within her own grasp, she walked them over to the counter, let go briefly to pay for the meal, then reattached to head out.
Now they were on a real adventure, and JessY's heart was pumping pretty fast. She felt like everything was on the line. If this event went well, maybe she could score! She really hoped the girl would agree to-- and then internal panic hit when she realized she already asserted that she would already take Himieji home. Oh no... what if she wasn't cool with that!? What if something bad happens!? On the outside, she seemed relatively composed, but on the inside, her mind was a maelstrom of worst-case-scenario. Hopefully they would find a distraction relatively soon, or the poor girl's heart might be able to take much more internal self-afflicted abuse.

At first, Himeiji raised her eyebrow at the laughter that overcame Jessy. She was honestly confused. Was it something she said? Was there food on her face? Because of these little questions, she tried to lick around her lips to get rid of any condiments that might have strayed from the burger. Once she didn't taste anything, she was left visibly perturbed about what Jessy laughed about. However, her date apologized and promised to explain everything after the Heartless hunting, at her house.
"That sounds like a plan then. I wish to laugh about whatever it was that put you in such a fit." She said with an honest smile. With that, the two stood up from their seats, paid for the meal, then headed out onto the town. Himeiji's excitement kicked up more and she felt herself gripping Jessy's hand a bit tighter, but not too tight to cause discomfort. There was a smile on the woman's face, that showed she was still deeply enjoying the date. "This will be fun! Fighting alongside you sounds like a romantic poem just waiting to be written." She said.
As they walked, Jessy would be able to notice that Himeiji walked closer to her. Himeiji, subconsciously, had already grown used to Jessy's presence and warmed up to her. The apprehension she had felt from others before disappeared while she was with Jessy. Hime kept herself composed as best she could, not wanting to say, or do anything too sudden out of fear of ruining the night. Himeiji felt that when they were at Jessy's house, she could be a bit more open and honest about her feelings.

And then it didn't even phase her. Not one bit. What a relief, and on top of that she wouldn't have to tread so carefully around preventing similar mistakes. This girl was simple, didn't read into anything too much, and was just looking for a good time. What did they really have to lose? JessY really needed to stop preoccupying herself with all the faults and dilemmas she could imagine while on a date; this was definitely no ordinary date. Himeiji was no ordinary human. She was extraordinary. The best part is, the girl was completely oblivious to her partner's own frantic yet similar thoughts of squandering the night. It could serve to prove interesting.
Feeling the grip on her hand tighten more but not uncomfortably so, JessY would reciprocate, keeping things joint and even but not enough to create a crushing force. She was probably much weaker in comparison anyway. Still, they carried on through town mostly in silence to enjoy each other's company. It didn't feel too awkward, not to JessY anyway. They wouldn't have to get that far before there was a familiar popping noise followed by the appearance of several enemies.
Unfortunately this is where she broke contact and got into a defensive pose, a long odachi appearing in her hand made out of light energy. "Man, they sure don't waste time here... I'm soloing these right? I mean..." Looking back over, the count of enemies wasn't the most overwhelming thing. Three shadows, three soldiers, and a large body. It wouldn't be a 'one attack cleans the house' sort of situation, but she could manage. "I should be fine." The shadows popped into the ground and scrambled, the soldiers split and the large body began revving a charge. Oh boy.
"Maybe a sword won't cut it for this one..." The sword in her hand vanished and JessY leapt to the side to gain some distance, held out her hand to start a line of energy toward the large body's back and then began making elegant cutting gestures with both arms and strikes of energy lashed out at the end of the line at the monster. She landed a few good hits before it turned around again and flailed its arms around to deterrent attacks. She had to shift focus anyway, the soldiers seemed to want to play next. Now here is where she needed her sword.
Lashing out with a full kick, she knocked one of them back and then used the forward momentum to swing her upper body down, but with her arms outstretched and her odachi re-forming, making a merciless cleave onto a second soldier, slashed horizontally twice and stabbed for a quick kill. The Heartless here were weaker than in most places. The third soldier was already winding up though, except the girl spawned a second long sword and quickly staggered the creature with a quick blow, then an onslaught of four slashes alternating her blades to disperse that one. Now, the soldier she kicked away and the large body were coming back in to sandwich her but she wasn't in any danger.
Looking behind her briefly, she crouched down and a square of energy rose beneath her and then started rising into the air of its own volition until she cleared the height of the large body, the jumped while flipping backward. She kept her blades outstretched to give the large body one hell of a back scratch, causing it to stagger again. Springing her landing, she popped into a couple more quick, graceful swings and then brought her hands together and began a full three hundred and sixty degree spin. The two long blades formed into a much larger two-handed sword midway through the spin, her momentum carrying it into a wallop onto the large body, causing it to dissipate. "Get wrecked, son," she muttered. While she seemed to be attracting a majority of the attention however, the shadows were interested in playing with the girl's friend.

The walk with her date was very relaxing. Himeiji had been enjoying herself ever since Jey set those two up, after their fight. Himeiji felt that she had taken an excellent chance and was amazed at how she was able to just alleviate her pain from the past around Jessy. Someone like Jessy must have had a special power that even she didn't know about. During the walk, Himeiji smiled and couldn't help it. Heart would tease her on the inside, which caused her to blush at certain times. She didn't mind though, because she knew that deep down, her feelings for Jessy continued to grow the more they spoke and traded stories and info with each other. Hime knew for sure that Jessy was somebody who she could trust fully.
However, it wasn't until a strange popping noise interrupted their search for heartless, did Himeiji felt Jessy's grip weaken. That was when her attention shifted from the romantic atmosphere, to the task at hand. She had to fight the little black things once more, but one of them was a lot bigger and fatter than the rest. She counted around seven of them and understood on a fighter's mental level that Jessy would take half, while Himeiji took half or perhaps a bit more. Nevertheless, she smiled when she saw her date charge off and display her skills.
Himeiji was impressed to say the least, when she saw Jessy flipping around and dealing masterful strikes, that ended the lives of the creatures that came upon her. The assassin knew full well, that Jessy had to have been hard on herself on a mental level, to downplay such grace and movement on the battlefield. The girl knew how to counter, riposte, and dodge all without taking a single hit. Such beauty in her movements made Himeiji smile and the fire within Hime's body got her loosened up. She was ready to kick some ass herself.
"Now then, who will by my playthings?" She asked in a seductive tone, as she turned around and faced the remaining enemies. 3 shadows and 2 knights remained.
One of the knights went in a goofy, wild sprint towards her and hopped off the ground. While in the air, it spun itself to get a spinning kick geared up and ready to smack right into the side of Himeiji's head. Though the creature was fast, Himeiji was faster and she struck her defensive stance and waited for it to come in closer. When it was within arm's length, Hime swung her right hand with equal the amount of force as the knight's kick, to cancel out both powers and kill the momentum of the creature. She then quickly turned her hand to grip the beast's leg and since it had it's other leg dipping out to help keep it's balance in the air, Himeiji would capitalize on that and pulled the creature forward, while she lunged forward with her left hand, to catch the beast's other leg. Once it was in place, Hime would give a small smirk, before she put a good deal of her might into splitting the knight in half with her bare hands. Surely enough, it dissipated in a plume of black smoke.
That was when the three shadows traveled across the ground, resurfaced, and attempted to slash at her with a flurry of their claws. Himeiji quickly spun to face them, while she gripped the hilt of her blade and unsheathed it, in order to block their claws from reaching her body. After blocking the attacks and seeing an opening in their moves, she used a good amount of force to push the buggers away. They were pushed and staggered rather easily when compared to the might of Himeiji and she exploited that, by dashing up to them with her superior speed and letting out three quick strikes to the each of them. Each strike was so fast that in reality, it was really a total of six hits that Himeiji did, two for each shadow that charged after her. The woman would sheath her sword immediately and then the shadows would be cut into three separate pieces, before they dissipated as well.
That just left the knight standing and Himeiji wondered if she should take that one down, or double-team it along with her date.

Of course the Heartless wouldn't sit around and attack one target alone, and JessY wasn't heartbroken when a few of the mobs decided to antagonize her date. Of course they would take away from the fact that this was more of her show, but now the assassin girl would get to show her stuff as well. She was already aware of a few tips and tricks but she wondered what it was like against more common enemies and when she didn't move too fast for her to see.
Unfortunately... she was still too fast. The build-up, from what she could tell while engaging her own enemies anyway, seemed rather straightforward until she drew her sword. The sword is what really enabled her blinding speed, or at least, was one of the greatest extensions of it. Stricken by amazement, she could only stand in idle while sword skills far greater than her own were at work. She was envious for sure, as being an ordinary human had its very disheartening limitations.
The sword was put away and the show was over-- well, until JessY noticed some movement. A soldier was still dancing around. "You're not dead? Jeez." Holding out her hand, she initially intended to decimate it with a flurry of impacts, but maybe there was a more interesting way to approach this. Maybe she could draw the attention of her date and maybe even impress her a little. The attack she would use would be the same, seeing as the pillar of energy was already being released when she had the thought, but it would just have a slightly different execution.
With a high-angle spike at the top, the blonde girl pierced through the small heartless before there was a sharp turn in an upward direction, two more prongs branching out from the side and quickly angled back to pierce it two additional times, putting the creature on a three-pronged pike just in front of the other girl. However, that's just where it stopped. JessY looked over at Himeiji and gave a wink. "Do the honors?" she would ask. Maybe it was cheesy but a hopeless romantic like JessY couldn't pass it up. The two of them were only after a good time, after all. Then, she briefly wondered if this relationship could ever turn serious. From here on out, things were about to be a lot different within her own little world with that thought now dominating her subconscious.

Himeiji was thoroughly impressed by Jessy's offer of the heartless on the spikes. It was like she was feeding her the kill, an act on the battlefield that gave off a more romantic feel. Hime blushed when she was asked to do the honors and she wouldn't disappoint. The woman drew her blade slowly and held it up to the knight's neck. The creature started to struggle and tried its hardest to escape from its impending demise, but Himeiji gave it a deadly smile that spelled no escape.
"Why thank you, my love. This is for you." She said, as she gave Jessy a loving smile. She realized that her display of swordsmanship earlier might have been a tad too fast for her date, so she decided to make it up with this next flurry of attacks. Her steady and quick hand easily cut the creature limb from limb and within a matter of seconds, only the torso remained. Even then, the body of the knight had been cut into a heart. Himeiji then took two fingers, pressed them against her lips, and blew a kiss through the heart, towards the cheek of her date. After doing that, she gave Jessy a wink and the heartless would have dissipated into a black mist.

[OOC: Thread has been super fun, but it feels like it's dragging a bit, so I'm going to scoop them through the rest of their adventure if you don't mind. Otherwise you can ask me to edit something.]
While it was certain JessY had no idea what to expect after the Heartless was forked up to the flashy swordswoman, but it certainly wasn't what had happened next. It was meant to be a simple yet eloquent gesture but Himeiji turned it into so much more. With some quick and delicate work, the Heartless was turned into a heart and the girl looked at JessY and blew a kiss. She was touched, and put a hand to her cheek after she felt an invisible warmth from where it would've been planted. She was more than okay with this.
Blushing, JessY returned the gesture with a smile. The light energy dissipated all at once after the Soldier finished vanishing. It seemed they had some excitement for today. Not only that, the night was still young. They would probably find themselves venturing further and taking on more encounters until it was obvious it was time to make their way back, to which JessY would invite her inside for further discussion. If Himeiji accepted, they'd probably just talk for a while over some type of beverage and snack. Otherwise they would go their separate ways.
And as well, if she accepted, there would be a point where JessY would mention that it's getting late and would ask Himeiji what she wanted to do, making the offer that she was welcome to stay the night if she wanted.

(I don't mind one bit. We can have them converse on the night for a few more posts then end it after that.)
The night had been a lot more eventful and wonderful than Himeiji had initially realized. For once, she was able to enjoy herself as a normal girl and do normal things that people not cooped up in a cage could do. She felt her heart throb in pain a bit, at the new emotions that started to chew away at her. Hime, not once feigned any of her emotions when around Jessy and allowed every impulse to go wild during the course of the night. Due to that, when the two ended up going back to Jessy's place, Hime felt tears rolling down her cheek.
"Oh, dear me." She said softly and wiped them away with a smile. She had finished her snack and beverage at this point and the feeling of tears reminded her that she had expended a lot of energy over the course of the day. To think that she had just arrived and already met interesting people. Not only that, but she met someone who grew close to her in what felt like an instant. The tears were of joy and not sadness. Despite her augmentaions, Himeiji finally realized she was still human.
This was all thanks to Jessy, who was seemingly forced into the date with her in the first place. The girl even offered her to stay the night if she wanted to. Himeiji thought about it and looked down, smiling softly.
"You're a real sweetheart, Jessy, really. I couldn't impose on your hospitality like that, due to not wanting you to feel uncomfortable." Himeiji explained and looked back up to face her date with a larger smile. Her face had started to blush and she realized that what she just said might have been rude and silly.

"It's kinda funny how these things work out sometimes." Here was this girl who hardly had any experience being an actual female, not having much experience in close social relationships in the slightest, thrust into a new and scary situation with a total stranger, and then coming out on top. She didn't believe in any greater deities, but she still felt tempted to thank them at this moment, or whatever powers may be at hand for this odd circumstance. Apparently all she had to thank was her crazy insane counterpart.
With loving from one impossible thing to another, might as well go all the way right? What could JessY lose at this point. Throwing caution to the wind, she just sort of let herself go. It would be a little scary, but a little freeing as well. And if it worked... there just wouldn't be words to describe. "So yeah, you're not imposing or making me uncomfortable, that's just nonsense. I'm one of those people where, if I didn't want you here, well I wouldn't have invited you in! But..." Here, JessY would motion for Himeiji to sit down if she wasn't already, and then take a seat next to her.
At first she was looking forward, staring into space, mentally preparing for the moment that was to come. Heimiji wouldn't know what was going on, but there was definitely a game plan here. "The opposite is true... I'd really like if you were to stay," about midway through the sentence, JessY turned and gave her date an incredible gaze of sincerity. There was a pause, and she closed her eyes slowly drawing her face to the girl's with their lips threatening to align.
