It had been a relief to finally be out of that Gummi Ship. Saleth hadn't, of course, said this to Kress and Wes. Where it looked clunky, in Gummi Space it faired pretty well. The only problem with it that Saleth had was the fact that she couldn't spend time to herself anywhere. Besides, Wes got annoying near the end of the trip. He was lucky that she didn't try to transform while in the ship itself or they would've had quite a predicament on their hands. When they had orbited the Land of Dragons, Saleth gave Kress the coordinates in where to land.
Now that she was outside, Saleth crossed her arms as she looked upon her home. Where, from this distance, things didn't appear to be out of the usual the silence was what had alerted her to something peculiar. Her family shifted between forms at any given time without any trouble for doing so. The fact that no one was now coming outside to greet them or even come out to look at them curiously was odd. At least, almost always, one parent was home. Maybe someone was just asleep inside?
Saleth glanced over her shoulder toward Kress and Wes. "Thank you for bringing me here." With that, she walked up toward the home. It was styled in the fashion the locals had it here. So, it was a typical Asian styled home. It was medium in size with enough room to spare for any unexpected visitors. Walking right up to the door, Saleth knocked on it. There was no response after a minute of waiting. Saleth didn't even hear anything stir within. This was really strange. Normally, someone was always home and it was almost unheard of for a visitor or stranger to go unnoticed by her family. After all, they had keen senses of smell.
Saleth furrowed a brow at this before knocking harder this time around. She didn't want the other two to pick up on the fact that she suspected something was wrong. Just where was her family? Maybe they had gone looking for her? Then again, she had embarked on a journey. Would they have assumed that she was just traveling still? It really wasn't certain as she waited. Again, no response.
"Mom! Dad! It's me, Saleth!" Saleth called after hammering on the door again. Once again, no response. Furrowing her brows, Saleth tried the door. Sure enough, it was unlocked. This was odd. The door was usually locked whenever they weren't outside. Ever since the death of her cousin, they had been more wary of the locals that lived here. "...Hm."
Saleth pushed the door open and stepped inside. Kress and Wes, she had seemingly forgotten about as she entered her home. They could have followed her in and she wouldn't have cared at this point. Her mind was too preoccupied with the oddity of there being no one home at all. Nothing but silence met her ears as she traveled from the entrance into the halls where the rooms branched off. Paying no mind to whether or not she was being followed, a mistake on her part, Saleth went to her old bedroom. It was kept just like it always had been. Just...everything here seemed dusty. It were as if no one had ever been here at home for a long time.
Of course, since she forgot that she might have been followed, Saleth hadn't bothered to close her bedroom door before wandering toward her drawers and opening them. It was time that she got rid of these garments and replace them with the ones she was more comfortable with. As soon as she found one of her old martial arts outfits, Saleth threw off her top and bottom, putting the outfit on. It was lilac in color, matching her very vibrant purple eyes and wine red hair. Glad to be out of the old clothes, Saleth turned to leave the room. Her mind now focused on the fact that her family wasn't here.
"Strange, almost someone is home even if the others are out and about..."
Saleth didn't show it but she was reaching the point of panic.

After the awkward ride to this new world, even Kress himself was pretty happy to have finally have landed. Normally, he enjoyed the comforts of his own ship, but having Saleth there definitely made things a bit less comfortable for the boy. It was nothing personal against Saleth, but Kress wasn't even sure if the two of them had anything in common, causing the boy to keep to himself during the whole ride there. Saleth would be the first to break the silence, however, as she would thank Kress for the ride there. Hearing this, Wes' eyes lit up, thinking that this was the end of their time with the female dragon. Unfortunately for both Wes and Saleth, Kress was a bit more persistent than that. "Don't thank me just yet, we gotta make sure you find whatever it is you're looking for here." With that, Kress would begin to follow Saleth as she lead the way up to her door, making sure to keep his distance from her. He figured it'd seem a bit creepy if he followed her too closely to the house in front of them. Kress still wasn't certain what he had taken Saleth her for, but he had a pretty good feeling Saleth had some history in this house. He could tell just by the way she walked up to the door.
Kress' theory would be confirmed once Saleth called out to her mother and father as she pounded the door. Though Kress was a bit excited to hear Saleth did in fact live here, it also made him a bit nervous. Would this family of dragons just see Kress and his weasel as a snack that Saleth brought back with her? Kress liked to think he could trust Saleth more than that, but he honestly had no clue if he could just yet. She hadn't caused him any harm yet, but that could have just been so she could get a ride from him. No, Kress wouldn't allow his nervousness get the best of him, he had to trust Saleth was not going to string him along just to be a snack. She had already disproved that dragons were mindless killers, as she seemed smart and she hadn't exactly killed him just yet. Kress would be snapped out of his inner thoughts with the sound of the door opening, his eyes darting over to where Saleth was once standing. Locking his feet in the position they were in, Kress was determined not to move an inch, despite his curiosity screaming at him to follow the dragon inside to her home. Raising an eyebrow at his partner, Wes' face had a look of confusion.
Kress had been going on and on about Saleth's stupid race and now he was going chicken out? Not on Wes' watch. "What the hell are you doing, Kress? Dragon-butt obviously left the door unlocked for us. Get moving, jackass. The sooner we're sure she got what she wanted, the sooner we can get out of this world and away from these damn dragons." After spewing out one of his trademark complaints, Wes flicked Kress' ear, trying to get the boy moving. Knowing his weasel wouldn't stop screwing with his ear until he did as the little bugger said, Kress shoved his hands into his pockets as he entered the house. Though Kress liked the overall design of the house and interior, he was overwhelmed by how much dust was inside the house. Did Saleth really live like this? Perhaps the boy could stay and help her dust his house before going on his way. "Sheesh, you'd think they fired the maid or something, ey Kressy? What do you think the maid did to get fired? I'm betting she stole jewelry from the mother of the family."
Kress would be ready to shut his weasel up, as he normally did, but would then realize he had no reason to shut Wes up. It hadn't really clicked when he first entered the house, but he wasn't really seeing any other dragons in this house, which began to worry the boy as he connected the lack of dragons with the dust. Come to think if it, Kress didn't know anything about Saleth, just how long was this female dragon away from this place? He was hopeful it hadn't been too long, but he was seriously starting to doubt that notion at this point. Walking forward a bit more, Kress would see Saleth emerge from her room. Luckily for both of them, Kress hadn't arrived there while she was changing, so he wouldn't have to deal with the embarrassment of an accidental peak of Saleth. Seriously, what was up with him and almost seeing Saleth without her clothes? Though, seeing Saleth in her new attire, Kress would smile a bit and scratch the back of his head. "Ah, that's where you went. Well, I definitely think this attire suits you better. The color suits you better as well."
albeit, it wasn't the best time to give the girl a compliment on her change of clothes, as the boy was still a bit curious as to where exactly all her dragon relatives were, but if he didn't blurt it out then, he could have easily done it at a worse time. Saleth seemed to quickly change the subject however, speaking aloud about how the house didn't feel as emptied as it looked. Truth be told, Kress thought it was just the girl's worry about her family (if she even was worried) giving her that feeling at first, but his view would instantly change. Before Kress could even attempt to confront Saleth about it, he'd feel his partners claws tighten on the leather perch that was his shoulder, turning his head back to see that Wes' ears were perked up. Looking back at Saleth, Kress would raise an eyebrow as he slowly unsheathed his sword. "That feeling might actually have some merit to it. I think Wes is having the same feeling here." Watching for what way Wes would face as the weasel listened, Kress would continue to focus on Wes as he opened his mouth.
"So, you're sure that none of your family members are here? I really don't want to holding out my sword if one of them really is here. I don't, uh, I don't think that gives me a very good image to them." Kress would feel his partner nudge him on his cheek. Oddly, Wes would point them further down the hall they were in. "Something down there is making some freaking noise. Nothing too bad, but I can't quite tell what it is. Could one of dragon-butt's relatives or it could be an over-sized roach or something. I dunno, I really don't care." Once again, it seemed his partner deliberately went out of his way to call a person they had met by a false name. Was it always gonna be this way when the duo met new people? Kress seriously hoped not. "Ugh, it's Saleth, Wes. Her name is Saleth."
"Sally?"
"Saleth!"
"Gotcha, Susan."
"Gods, you're an ass. Ignoring his weasel's antics for now, Kress would look down the hall where his partner had pointed. "If you're family isn't here, do you know what could even be making noise down there, Saleth? After all, I'm beginning to think we shouldn't put too much thought into this, Wes was the one who said he heard something." After finishing his sentence, Kress shot his partner a glare before looking back at Saleth once more. Part of him was hoping she could also hear what Wes did, as he assumed her kind had some sort of advanced hearing. That way, he could trust that there was someone or something in the house with them, having two of his allies hearing something would definitely make it believable. At the same time, Kress was hoping that whatever Wes did hear was just on of Saleth's family members. It'd help relax the boy, as he was having doubts that that any of them had been here in a long while.[/font]

Saleth had only half heard Kress when she approached her home. She figured, by now, that this human-like being was too curious to simply leave her be even after reaching their destination. She was much too focused on her home to care, however. As she had approached her home, Saleth only got increasingly uneasy. Something had to have happened here. What that was, she wasn't sure as she had stepped into the home. All around, there had been dust. Saleth's mother had been a wonderful housekeeper. Seeing this layer of dust everywhere worried Saleth. Had they all left without her to someplace else? Why?
Whether or not Kress and Wes chose to enter the house, Saleth had gone down the hallway and into her bedroom. There, she had changed on the spot. In these clothes, the martial arts ones she used to wear, she would be able to move with ease and speed. She used to partake in the tournaments in just her regular form and had been dangerous in this form as well. Her dragon form wasn't her only source of fighting. When she had exited her room, adorned in these clothes, she just simply rose a brow in response to Kress's compliment. Instead of thanking him, she chose to turn the subject onto the matter at hand. The home was never this empty.
Saleth turned her gaze onto Wes, whose ears were perked up. Kress seemed to sense something was amiss too before he went and unsheathed his sword as he replied to what she had said. Saleth gave pause and listened as well. It was a curious sound. It didn't sound like anything alive. Slowly, Saleth turned toward the sound as Kress spoke.
"Hmph, if it's an intruder, I'll kill them in cold blood." Saleth darted down the hall toward where the sound was detected. She stopped as it brought her to Seiya's room. Gently, she opened the door slowly to just a crack so that it wouldn't creak. She saw nothing. Then, abruptly, Saleth kicked the door open to reveal...nothing out of the ordinary. If anything, the vanity table she had was upturned. What had been making the noise that they had all heard was the sound of the cogs working in the old music box that Seiya once had. Saleth bent down to examine it. The cogs sounded as if they were rusting, hence the unpleasant sound they were making before Saleth turned it upright. As soon as she had done it, the cogs seemed to finally given up and died. The room was filled with silence then. Just what had happened here? Saleth allowed her lilac eyes to take in the scene. It looked as if a scuffle of some kind had taken place here. A layer of dust, like in the whole house, was here. Whatever had happened, it happened some time ago.
Uncertainly, Saleth had stepped back out of the room carrying it. "It was just this dying music box."
After saying that, Saleth walked through the living area again and headed out of the home. As she did so, she called out for her family despite knowing that she'd not get a response. Saleth wandered their own yard, searching hard. The search soon grew into a frantic frenzy. Just where was her family?! If Kress and Wes were watching her, they would have seen her search go progressively downhill as she went into a frenzied, unsettled state as she called out for her family. In the distance, near a tree, if Saleth had been in a more right state of mind, she would have taken notice of three tombstones that rested just next to it. These tombstones were in plain sight for those observing Saleth freaking out in her search.
If they went over to them, they would find writing on the tombstones. "Uythr, father of Saleth and Seiya rests here." The other, "Eyrfae, mother of Saleth and Seiya." The third, well, it wasn't easily read. All that was inscribed on it was "cousin."

Wasting no time, Saleth left the boy and his weasel to investigate the sound Wes had heard. Kress would have offered to go with her, but Saleth didn't seem like she had any intent of allowing him to ask. Still, as she opened the door from which the sound came from, Kress would prepare himself, thinking some sort of beast or foe could easily be the cause of the noise. Fortunately, when Saleth walked out of the room, she revealed that the sound had just been an old music box. Kress raised an eyebrow at his partner, finding it a bit silly that the weasel heard this music box as a potential threat. "You were seriously spooked out by this thing? Wes, I'm beginning to think that your ears aren't as trust worthy as they used to be." Staring wide-eyed at the box in Saleth's hand, Wes scurried up to the top of Kress' head, looking down at the box angrily. "Bite your tongue, Kress! I was yelled at by a vase earlier, I'm not so sure this is just an innocent music box. Look at it, it's just sitting there, thinking about what it's gonna do next. I got news for you, music box, I'm hip to your jive!"
Slapping his face into his right hand, Kress would be extremely grateful that the dragon had just walk away from the duo after pointing out the noise was something as innocent as a music box. There really was no need for him to make Saleth see the two more foolish than she already did, so Kress just counted this as a win in his favor. Sheathing his sword on his back, Kress followed Saleth on her way out of the house, unaware that she was just going to call out for her family once more. Really, Saleth seemed smarter than this, but Kress figured this was just panic mode for the girl at this point, despite how calm she was acting about the situation. Kress was pretty much certain the dragon's family hadn't been in this house for a while, but was still feeling optimistic that they'd fine some sign of where they had gone in the house somewhere, but Kress' hope for that would be shattered as soon as he actually took the time to closely scan the area. Squinting his eyes a bit, Kress would be able to make out three stone slabs sticking out of the ground beside a tree that wasn't too far from where Saleth was standing.
"Sheesh, dragon-butt seems to just be repeating old tactics, eh Kress? You'd thin-." Placing two fingers under his weasel's chin, Kress would direct Wes' head towards the three tombstone-looking slabs, successfully shutting the weasel's trap. Wes was a lot of things, but if those really were tombstones, and even worse, if they belonged to Saleth's family, Wes wouldn't be heartless enough to taunt her for it. Making sure Saleth wasn't paying attention to him (not that it was likely that she would be anyway) Kress would silently begin to make his towards the tombstones in the distance, hoping that his gut feeling about this was wrong. After reaching the three tombstones, the elf-eared boy knelt down besides them, trying to get a clearer look at the engravings on them. Before he was able to read the two that were a lot cleaner, Kress' attention would be locked on the one that was barely able to be read. It'd take a good few seconds, but Kress was finally able to make out the word 'cousin.' This instantly left the boy with a deep worrying feeling, as now he had physical proof that at least one of the dragon's family members had passed.
"Cuisine?!" What did they even bury here?!" Sighing a bit, Kress shook his head at the weasel as he rubbed his eyes. "Cousin," you idiot! It says cousin." With that, Kress finally decided to read the other two tombstones, his heart sinking into his chest as soon as he finished reading. This whole time Saleth had been calling out to her mother and father, they were there, but couldn't answer her. For some reason, this really affected the boy. He had only recently met Saleth, but the discovery of these two tombstones really got to Kress, causing him to tear up a bit. Of course, Kress quickly wiped away the tear before his partner could see it, but it had been there. "Wes, go get in the ship. I'm gonna have to tell Saleth." Hearing his partners instructions, the weasels eye bugged out of his head. "Are you crazy?! What if she tries to maul you alive?! How do we know if this is even the same Salteh? It could a local school girl or something..."
Smiling a bit as his partner showed worry for him, Kress set the little guy down, patting him on the head. "I'm pretty sure I have a better chance of not being killed if you're not with me, Wes. No offense, man." Though he was normally a difficult one to negotiate with, Wes wouldn't raise a fuss about his partner's request this time. It made sense to the weasel, despite how much he didn't like the fact that he was going to be leaving him alone with a most likely emotional Saleth. Making sure his weasel was out of sight and close enough to the the ship, Kress would cup his hands over his mouth, looking a bit hesitant. "Saleth! I think you need to see this!" He'd shout out with a shaky voice. Having only seen Saleth when she was relatively calm, Kress was extremely nervous and worried, but he knew he had to let Saleth know. He could have easily got in his ship and took off as soon as he discovered the graves, but he felt as if that would be a mistreatment of Saleth's trust. If he were in her shoes, Kress would want to see this for himself as well. Despite how scared he was of how exactly the dragon might react to this, Kress knew he was doing the right thing here.

Saleth could hear Kress and Wes conversing but she didn't take pause to listen to any of their banter. She had set down the music box before them before heading out of the home and out into the yard. When she got outside, Saleth found it all the more unsettling with how silent it was out here. No one was home. She wasn't sure why it unnerved her so much but it did. Something just wasn't right here. Something had to have happened. Had they all gone looking for her? That made no sense though. At least someone would have been home to look after the house.
Even though she fought against it, her mind thinking logically that they were just somewhere else, the fear gripped at her heart more strongly than she had anticipated. Before she knew what she was doing, Saleth had soon found herself scurrying around the house frantically. Her eyes darted this way and that as her figured darted this way and that. She was all in a tizzy. If she kept going on like this, she would likely wear herself out.
It didn't even occur to Saleth that Kress and Wes had finally exited her home and were now outside. She had gotten herself so worked up that she didn't seem to notice anyone else around. All she cared about was finding her parents and her little sister. As for her cousin, Saleth had already known about her deceased cousin. Panic striking her at every turn, Saleth only stopped a moment when she heard someone calling out to her. Immediately, she came to an abrupt halt. It were as if she had suddenly been turned into stone. She turned toward the source and found that it had been Kress who had called out her name. He thought she needed to see something? Confusedly, Saleth allowed her gaze to turn toward anything near Kress that might tell her what he was seeing. Sure enough, there were tombstones. Saleth recognized the shape of them anywhere.
'Why are there two new tombstones near my cousin's?' Saleth thought. Of course, already, she got a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. Right now, she dreaded what she was about to find out as she slowly made the trek toward where Kress was. His voice, too, gave away what it might be. As she walked, each step seemed to be the longest. In reality, she hadn't taken that long to get to where he was but with her dread so high, it was hard for her not to feel that way when she wanted to bolt towards the area. Her heart hammered as she neared where Kress and the stones were. When she came to a stop, she looked from the stones to Kress and then back again. This time, she took the time to dare to read the inscriptions. It were as if her heart had suddenly stopped as two familiar names were read.
"...No..." Saleth murmured, an obvious note of realization and despair in her voice. Saleth had dropped to her hands and knees in front of them. So, that was why no one was home. Saleth's parents were dead. As for Seiya, whom didn't come to Saleth's mind just yet, there was no tombstone for her which meant that she had survived and was likely out there somewhere. Either that or she had perished somewhere else where no one would be able to return her body to let anyone know that she had died.
Tears welled up in Saleth's eyes as the emotional blow sliced deep into her being and sliced her heart apart. Her parents were dead! Proud, though she might be, Saleth couldn't stand tall against such a sudden onslaught. She couldn't stand against the sudden waves of emotions that flooded her brought on upon the realization of the fact that her parents were dead and she didn't know why. Saleth never got to see them during their last moments. Saleth crumpled to the ground, sobbing for a moment. How she hated to be so suddenly weakened by this, to appear to be so vulnerable at that very moment. It were as if the world had suddenly been torn from underneath her.
Then, gradually, rage filled her heart. For her parents to be dead, that meant they had to have been killed by someone or something. Considering the turmoil she had been through during the decades she had spent in that prison, locked up, Saleth was jumping to nasty conclusions. Slowly, she rose her head and looked at the tombstones of her family. However, her gaze didn't stop there. Her tear filled, watery eyes soon set their gaze beyond the graves. There, in the distance, she saw a small human settlement. A village. It was the same one that had been responsible for the death of her cousin. Saleth's upper lip quivered before lifting up to bare her teeth in an aggressive manner at it. Only now would anyone finally notice that her canines were much sharper than a human being's yet dull enough to not be mistaken for a vampire's set of fangs.
"It's them!" Saleth growled. She quite literally growled when she said this. It was another trait that reminded those around her that she wasn't human even though her appearance made her seem more like one. Breathing heavy, the adrenaline coursing through her veins as the anger within grew at the sight of the village, Saleth slowly got to her feet. "It's because of them that my family's dead!" she snarled in a menacing manner, blaming them for the death of her parents.
Of course, who was to say that village was responsible for the death of her parents? Although Saleth was intelligent, her mind wasn't in the right state. With the death of her parents, it clouded Saleth's thoughts. She wasn't able to think clearly and question more about what really happened here or why Seiya didn't have a tombstone. Suddenly, Saleth glowed that light again and it fully engulfed her. A sign that she was transforming into her dragon form.
When the light went away, there she was in her silver dragon form again. Since they were out in broad daylight, her silver scales gleamed and shined more brightly. It would have been a beautiful sight...but anyone right now would have associated this more so with a very dangerous sight to behold. All of her sharp teeth were bared as Saleth kept her gaze fixed on that village. Even if Kress tried to protest, tried to stop her, there was no stopping Saleth now.
"I will burn their village to the ground and rip out every beam from the ground!" Saleth snarled. As she had said that, Saleth prowled around the tombstones, eyes locked on the village and unblinking. As she went, she suddenly shot her face toward the tree that stood next to the graves, grabbed onto it with her teeth and yanked. When she did so, Saleth had completely uprooted the tree and tore it right out of the ground. She swung her head and threw the tree some distance away and to the side before she let out a thunderous roar. It seemed like the inevitable was going to happen. That Saleth had lost her cool and was now going to slaughter a village and burn it down.
"That's right, Saleth...kill the human scum!" came a voice. A voice that Kress and Wes wouldn't recognize but Saleth would. It was enough to cause her to come to an abrupt halt. She had her scaly back facing where the voice had come from and for a brief moment, Saleth had remained still. Slowly, she turned to face the source and, standing there, much to anyone's surprise would be but another similar silver dragon. The only difference in appearance in their current forms were they eyes. Unlike Saleth's eyes, this one's seemed to be shrouded in some sort of mist and was even billowing it out from their eyes. This dragon appeared to be much more aggressive in appearance than Saleth. It looked almost as if they were...insane?
"...Seiya?" Saleth spoke her younger sister's name in what sounded like disbelief.

Kress could only close his eyes and turn his head away from the dragon as she got close to the graves. He knew this was going to extremely uncomfortable for him, and devastating for Saleth. Truthfully, the boy was more concerned with how Saleth was going to take than he was with the possibility of him feeling awkward being in the presence of an emotional dragon. He wasn't even sure how he was supposed to react in this situation with a regular human, let alone a dragon! Sure, a human could be angry and devastated, but they normally didn't contain the power that a dragon did. This.... this wasn't going to go down well, Kress just knew it. Sadly, the only thing Kress come of of Saleth's mouth was a crushed sounding "no." How was Kress supposed to respond to Saleth in this situation? She definitely didn't seem like the type that wanted pity of any sort, she much too strong willed for that, but... what else could Kress do? He didn't have very many options here, Saleth seemed to be getting sadder with every second. Still, he was pretty sure he couldn't cheer the dragon up even if she wanted to be cheered up, he doubted that Saleth would take anything he said to her with any weight.
Continuing to watch Saleth's emotional state crumble before him, Kress looked away from the woman, brushing his bangs down over his eyes as he shed a single tear. These weren't even people Kress had ever met before, but seeing a child react to the loss of their parents... well, you'd have to be heartless to not feel anything there. Kress would keep to himself during her sadness at first, but wouldn't be able to let what Saleth growled out in her grieving just pass through him. Them? Who were they? The townsfolk?! No, people wouldn't do this, not without a valid reason at least. Well, at least Kress thought. He wasn't exactly sure just how ignorant the people of that village were, but they couldn't have killed Saleth's parents without reason, could they? It didn't matter, Kress couldn't let a town of possibly innocent people get attacked by an emotionally unstable dragon. Though, it would be looking pretty bleak for the notion that Kress could even stop her, as she had already seemed to be showing her fangs in her human-like form, and this was before she even had mentioned the village! Things were definitely going worse then Kress had intended, which was saying something. The only thing that was going well was that he hadn't been mauled yet, but who was to say that wouldn't change?
"Saleth! This won't help anything!" Kress cried out towards Saleth, but he'd have to cover his as soon as he finished his plead with the dragon, the same light from before shining from her again. But that meant... Uh oh, she was doing it again. "So what, you'll burn that damn place alive, then what? Huh?! It won't bring your parents back, Saleth. In fact, you could end up doing the same thing to one of them, taking a parent away from one of their children! Who wins there, Saleth?!" With Kress in the panicked state he was in, the boy's valor would show, yelling at the female dragon at the top his lungs, knowing well what could become of him for it. Despite his angry tone with Saleth, he wouldn't arm himself in any way, his sword and pistols in their sheath and holsters, respectively. No, Kress didn't want to convey the notion that he was a threat to Saleth in any way, just a voice of reason, but it seemed the dragon wanted nothing to do with reason. She was too far gone for that.
Watching in horror as the dragon ripped the tree that was beside him out of the ground with ease, Kress winced once he realized he was in the dragons path she was swinging in, preparing himself to feel the sting of the branches being swung at the velocity Saleth was swinging at. "Kressy, hold out your arm!" With the sound of his partners grating voice actually sounding sincere combined with how fast the tree was coming at him, Kress listened to his weasels advice, closing his eyes extremely tight as he extended his arm. Feeling a familiar presence climbing up his body and on his arm, Kress would open his eyes to see Wes wrapped around his extended fist, a flame burning bright from the little critter. Despite being as hard-headed as an ox, Wes really did have a flash of brilliance here, his rather large flames had burnt through the branches in Kress' path, successfully keeping the boy out of harms way. Well, kind of, he didn't really move out of harms way, it was more along the lines of Wes moving the harm out of the boy's way. Regardless, the boy would be both shocked and grateful that his partner jumped in when he did.
Growling at the dragon as she released the tree that was in her mouth away in the distance, the weasel was livid at the dragon. "Hey! Dragon-butt! It's one thing to be distant towards Kress and ignore him, that's understandable. I mean, really, just look at the tooth-picky guy, he's pathetic. He reads comics, he has that nasally voice and he's always asking questions. Not to mentio-." Getting a glaring look from his partner, Wes shut his trap. "Yeah, I think she gets the point, Wes." Kress said, his face a deep red from the hostile criticisms from his partner gave him, all while he was supposed to be defending the elf-eared boy. "Okay, not the point! But you! He's done nothing but try to help you, sister, and how do you repay him?! You almost knock his damn head off. That's it, dragon-breath, it's go time!" Ugh, this was really really not going as well as Kress had hoped. This wasn't the message he wanted to get across to Saleth at all, but here comes Wes being hostile towards an all ready furious dragon. Yeah, that couldn't possibly go wrong, could it?
While Kress was kind of touched to hear Wes actually defend him for a change, but not when it meant being rude towards a dragon who had just learned of her parents death. Nervously chuckling, Kress would hold up both his hands, "Oh ho, it's not go time. It's like, stop and think time.... please?" As the tensions raised higher between the three of them, a voice would break the awkwardness. As soon as it enter the weasels ears, he'd enter back into the silent mode of listening he was in earlier, this time looking more angry than before. Though, whoever it was, they seemed to know Saleth, as they referred to the dragon by name. Seiya? Wasn't that one of names on Saleth's father's tombstone? Oh Gods, was Kress going to be in the middle of some odd family-bonding exercise that involved torching that village? He was beginning to feel sick to his stomach about all of this. Kress was pretty much certain that Saleth could rip him to shreds with relative ease, having a second dragon in the equation wasn't what he'd call comforting.
"Eh, another dragon I'm assuming. Great, this is just how I wanted to spend my day! Having to deal with a dragons emotional problems." Shaking his head, Kress would turn towards the new dragon that showed up out of nowhere. Well, if anything, Kress would technically be the one appearing out of nowhere, as this was the two dragon's home. "Seriously, do you pride yourself on being the most counter-productive sidekick of all time?!" Wes smiled at the boy, shrugging in a smug manor. Well, at least one of them appeared to be having fun. Scratching the back of his head, Kress cleared his throat, barely even able to make eye contact with either of the dragons. "So, how about we, uh, put a pen in that whole 'kill the human scum' thing, eh? It should be a "let's make sure those humans aren't misunderstanding something." You know, like a... um. Ah geez, I'm not getting any where, am I?"
"This is painful, Kress. I'm physically hurting from this. Jut thought I'd share."

Saleth was in no right state of mind to hear anyone with a voice of reason. All she cared about right now was getting revenge. The village she had seen had been responsible for the death of her cousin. Of course, back then, it had been because of a mistake. However, after knowing this and the fact both of her parents were dead, it made Saleth suspect them most of all. If it were true or not mattered not at all to her. She would make them pay. She only half heard what Kress was saying and she scoffed down at him.
"Then so be it. It'll teach them not to mess with dragons!" Saleth snarled back. She didn't give a damn if someone else lost a family member. Maybe then, they would see how it felt to lose someone close to you because of others. Saleth was tired of it all. Dragons were discriminated for being large beasts and were killed a lot over it. Granted, not all dragons were good but every species and race had their bad. Unfortunately, because of a few bad the others suffered over it and had to evolve the form that Kress and Wes normally saw Saleth in. Who could blame her for thinking it was an act of discrimination toward her family? She had been tortured for decades in a prison just because she was different. Just because she was a dragon, they assumed that she was evil and took her prisoner. There, she endured a lot of torture just because of being a dragon. They didn't care if she was innocent. If people were going to think like that, she didn't give a damn anymore. Her family was dead. Saleth wanted revenge! An eye for an eye!
In her wrath, she had uprooted the tree near the tombstones and threw it. She didn't realize that she had accidentally thrown it in Kress's direction. She was so furious right now that any reasoning with her was futile. Saleth was too far gone for it. Reasoning with an emotionally unstable dragon was like talking to a brick wall. No matter what Kress would say, she wouldn't listen to him. By the time that Kress had been aided by Wes to burn the tree's branches that had been coming his way, Saleth had already started her prowl toward the village. As far as she was concerned, the weasel's voice was nothing to pay attention to. If she had to, she'd tear him apart if any of them got in her way.
The only thing that stopped her was the sudden voice that had reached her. Slowly, Saleth turned toward the voice. There, she found Seiya but there was something wrong. Seiya didn't look like herself. Her eyes, especially, were really off. It looked as if something dark had come over her younger sister. Even her words were nothing like Seiya. Saleth cocked her head at her. Why was she urging her to kill humans and why did she refer to them as scum? Seiya was never this violent. Saleth was always the more violent and bold one.
"Go ahead, Saleth. Kill these puny...things," Seiya continued, indicating Kress and Wes now. "These things are responsible, after all, for our cousin's death and most of our kind's deaths. Really, why should such weak creatures even exist? That one can't even get his thoughts straight and rambles like a fool!" Seiya added in response to what Kress had just tried to say to them.
"What has come over you? You're not the same."
Seiya let out a chuckle, a rather dark one. "After what happened, can you blame me? I despise all humans. Anything human deserves a bloody death. Dragons should be the supreme beings!" Now, Saleth knew there really was something wrong with her sister. Saleth started to walk towards where Seiya was. Seiya was unmoving but she did bare her teeth, when she had said all of those things, in Kress's and Wes's direction. The very presence of her younger sister had caused Saleth to forget about her wrath for the time being. Instead, her wrath was replaced with worry and concern. Why was Seiya acting like this? As she neared her, it only became more apparent.
On the side of Seiya's neck, barely noticeable, there was a small symbol. Saleth recognized that symbol. It was the worst she had feared. Seiya had become a Heartless. Since she was a dragon, it made her all the more dangerous. "You speak like a madwoman."
"What? You mean you actually care about humans? After all those decades of torture you endured from them?" Seiya retorted. What her sister had just said made Saleth stop dead in her tracks. How could she have known about that?
"How did you know that?" Saleth said, dreading what the answer might be. Already, she was coming to a conclusion. She didn't like what she suspected the answer to be before Seiya let out a sigh.
"Isn't that obvious? I wanted you to hate humans just as much as me. In order to get you to hate them, I had them capture you and torture you. That way, you'd be willing to help me in my goal of killing all humans!"
Saleth looked to be dumb struck. How could that be true? It couldn't be true! As Seiya had finished, she turned her attention onto the much tinier forms of Kress and Wes. Advancing toward them, Seiya went on. "So what say you, Saleth? We can start right here...with these two...and that village!" It took Saleth a few moments to pull out of her shock at what her sister had done. When she finally registered everything, Saleth grew furious.
"After hearing all of that, you can kiss that idea goodbye!" Saleth growled at her, stepping in before Seiya to stop her advance toward the other two. "How could you think anything like that would make me want to ever join forces with you?!" Saleth snarled at her. Seiya honestly looked like she was confused.
"Hmph, I didn't expect you to come here so soon. I was hoping to find you long before you reached home. Unfortunately, I did not. A miscalculation on my part. I also did not take into the account that despite everything you've endured this far that you would let...those things..." she had indicated Wes and Kress before continuing. "Survive. You should have hated them so much that you would want to kill them all. You endured more than I had anticipated. Now, here we are, with most of everything revealed."
"I can't believe everything you're saying and what you've even done! How did you even become this? This is nothing like you, Seiya!" Saleth said. It was obvious that Saleth was mind blown. Who could blame her? Her own sister had suddenly become a monster!
"HAH! Spare me the sobbing! You left home, right when I needed you the most, Saleth! Right after our own cousin had died, you left us! I needed you and you weren't there for me!" Seiya countered Saleth. Saleth looked like she just couldn't believe what she was saying.
"What are you talking about? Our cousin had died, I know, but it had been months after! I left to venture out because I was curious of the worlds. I wanted to learn more and see if I could find any more of us out there. I didn't leave because I was running away. We even said farewell to each other and I promised that I'd come back!" Saleth retorted.
"Please, you said that but we both know that wouldn't have happened. You were curious of the world, would have found something you were too interested in to even consider returning home until much later. You didn't care about me, Saleth. I doted over you, my older sister, but you didn't care about even offering to bring me along! You left me with our parents. You left me behind!"
"I'm sorry I made you feel that way, Seiya but I didn't leave you behind because I didn't care. You were still too young. Mother and father wouldn't have let you if I had asked."
"Pah! Mother and father...they were too controlling. As soon as I had enough of it all...I made them pay!"
That had been the final straw for Saleth. She was so disgusted and shocked, all that could replace her confused mind was anger now. Anger at what her sister had done and what she had become. She was a threat. If Saleth didn't attack her now, she'd likely try to kill the other two. Unfortunately for them, they got caught up in all of this and Seiya seemed keen on wanting to kill them now too. So, she did the only thing that came to mind in her hurt and anger. Saleth charged her sister. The two collided with a loud BAM. Tackling Seiya to the ground, Saleth tried to go for the throat but Seiya hissed up at her, baring her teeth careful to keep her head in the way to prevent Saleth from doing it. Retaliating, Seiya caused them to roll...in the direction of the village.

What in the world just happened? What started off as a feud between the two dragon siblings now appeared to be now directed at both Kress and Wes. Seiya wanted them dead? For what, just being human?! That was ridiculous. Kress could relate to someone having a hatred of humans, as even the ones on his world were a bit ignorant towards foreign species and races, so he understood both the dragons having negative feelings about humans, but with Seiya suggesting a downright genocide of the humans, Kress wasn't able to understand it farther than that. Despite Kress not wanting to lay on finger on Saleth, if she was in anyway going to be a part of what her sibling was suggesting, he'd have to act against her. Luckily for him, Saleth didn't seem to be too engaged in her sisters in what her sister was suggesting and more interested in why she was saying it. Seemed Seiya hadn't always been this way when it came to humans, at least from what Kress could infer from the two's conversation. Speaking of, Kress was beginning to feel really uncomfortable here. When the two weren't directly talking to each other, Kress would only be mentioned through either a insult or another suggestion from Seiya to end his life. Charming.
Hoping that maybe Saleth would be able to talk some sense into her sister, Kress continued to listen to the siblings discuss this matter. It was probably for the best, as he highly doubted that the two dragons would appreciate a toothpick like him trying to reason with them. Kress was certain Saleth could beat his ass up in her human form, she could easily bend the boy in half with justher pinky-finger while she was in this form. While Kress was one who could easily ignore Seiya's insult towards him without much of a fuss, Wes was a different story. Being one to insult the boy himself, Wes really didn't appreciate the female dragons need to step on his partners toes, making keeping silent about it very hard for the loud-mouthed weasel. Growling at Seiya, Wes would be just about ready to lay down one of his rants toward Saleth's sister, but Kress covered his mouth, glaring at Seiya. For her next bombshell, Seiya mentioned she had set Saleth up to get captured, then tortured by humans. Not knowing Saleth had even been subjected to torture or had been captured, Kress was surprised and livid.
He may not have had an actual sibling, but he always had considered the weasel on his shoulder as a brother, so hearing that Seiya had so easily betrayed Saleth... that just made Kress not feel for this dragon at all. "You... you bitch! How could you do that to your own sister?! As vile as humans can be, I've never seen one send a loved one through that!" After Kress had let his temper slip out towards Seiya, the weasel's eyes widened. It wasn't often that Kress got driven to the point of swearing, he knew what Seiya had done to Saleth must have really ticked Kress off. With that, Kress unsheathed his sword, preparing himself for whatever may come his way. Truth be told, he expected Saleth to still side with Seiya, simply based on the fact that they were siblings, but the dragon gave him a pleasant surprise. Saleth's sudden snap out of her episode of rage she had just moments ago was definitely welcomed to Kress, he was glad to hear the girl using her brain instead of her emotions once more. He'd be once again be singled out by Seiya, once again be labeled as 'things.' Kress wouldn't be too bothered by her label, he was more focused on watching Seiya's every move, trying to make sure he wouldn't be caught off guard by an attack from her.
Originally, Kress had also been keeping an eye on Saleth's movements, but somehow, the boy felt his trust in her rekindled with just a simple rejection of Seiya's offer to put an end to Kress and the village. The two exchanged more words with each other, giving Kress a better idea of Saleth's background, as well as just why Seiya had done what she had. Still, her reasons in no way justified what she had done to her sister, so Kress wasn't changing his opinion of this dragon just yet. In his inner thoughts, Kress had a bit of an interesting observation. Though his home world made general assumptions about dragons as a whole, Kress noticed that they could only be appropriately judged individually, much like people. Huh, perhaps Kress could share this little tidbit with Saleth. Well, not now of course, most likely when he wasn't having to worry about a dragon attacking him. The two dragons continued to argue on until Seiya made a comment about their parents, something that seemed to finally set Saleth off at Seiya. Kress and Wes would still remain non existent to the siblingss issues, but during the last bit of their verbal war, Kress would be in an odd stance with his sword, preparing himself for the worst.
Luckily for him, he wouldn't have to worry about Seiya getting an attack on him, as Saleth got up close and personal with her sister, stopping her sibling from attempting anything lethal on the boy. Kress' relief remained short lived, however, as with one quick turn of events from Seiya, the two dragons were now on a rolling fury towards the village. It could never be easy, could it? "Great, now we can get the hell out of here, Kressy! With those two fighting each other like that, they'll just end each other." Shaking his head, Kress began a sprint for his ship, only most likely not for the reason his partner was thinking. "No, we're going to help out Saleth and that village. You said it yourself, there's no telling who could win with those two going at it, we just gotta make sure it's Saleth." With every second he had to explain his motives to his partner, Kress was only giving himself less time to come up with some sort of plan to stop the dragon ball that was picking up speed towards the small village.
"Okay, so what? We're basically ants offensively to Seiya, what could we possibly do?"
"Correct, Wes, we are kind of like ants in that sense. Though, even ants attacking as one can scare off a lion."
"Alright, I'll bite, what're you getting at, pointy-ears?"
"Simple, we just gotta make sure Saleth's the lion with the ants on her side."
Shedding a bit of a devious smile, Wes clung to Kress' shoulder as the boy hopped in his driver seat. "Hey, as long as we get to kick that dragon's ass, I'm in. I thought dragon-butt was bad, but sheesh, Seiya makes that chick look like a hot babe with massive ti-." Pulling the ship off the ground, Kress sped towards the village, slapping his partner on the back of the head. He wasn't even gonna waste his breath this time, he was sure the weasel knew what he did wrong at this point. Passing the dragons by in his ship, Kress would stop the gummi ship as soon as he reached the village, he'd park the ship in the center of the town. Sprinting to the area of town where Saleth and her sister were heading, Kress cupped his hands over his eyes, grunting a bit with how close the two dragons were getting. He really did appreciate Saleth jumping in and fighting her sister before the dragon had a chance to shred the boy to pieces, but it really didn't seem like she thought this through that well. Granted, it'd be kind of hard to see this whole situation coming, but Kress would still be a bit annoyed.
Looking up at at the nearest house him, Kress noticed a large stack of logs against the house. Placing his hand on his chin, Kress tilted his head at the log stack, making an audible 'hmmm' sound before snapping his fingers. The person who owned these logs probably wouldn't like it, but Kress had thought of a plan. Reaching into his back, he pulled out a leather cuff wristband, one that was identical to the one on his right wrist, then fastened it onto his left wrist. Well, this was going to be a bit of a strain. Aiming his wrists at a log in the middle of the stack and one at a bottom log, then shot his grappling hooks at the logs. His grappling hooks hit them, sinking into the logs and allowing Kress to pull on the logs with all his strength and body weight. After a few tugs, he'd feel the logs give way, sending the entire stack of them plummeting down, just as Kress wanted. The logs would fall sloppily, bouncing and rolling about as they piled up in front of where Saleth and Seiya were rolling towards, making a makeshift barrier between the town and two dragons.
If his plan succeeded, the barreling dragons should be stopped at right outside of the city. Of course, Kress wouldn't be able to to predict just how much force two dragons rolling down a path would have, but he figured that this barricade would at least slow them down, if anything. Resting his hands on his hips, Kress would catch his breath before calling out to the dragon, hoping she'd be able to hear him from her rolling state.
"I can try and convince the villagers that only one of you is a threat, you just focus on taking care of Seiya. You two may be equally matched, but you have the upper hand of having an ant like me on your side!" After this, Kress would run back to the town square, preparing himself for the barrage of ignorance he'd most likely be getting from these people. After all, it'd be kind of hard to convince a town of dragon-fearing villagers that only one of the two dragons rolling toward their village was an enemy. Still, if Kress could help it, he wouldn't let a single villager harm Saleth. He wasn't going to let Saleth attack an innocent village, but he wasn't going to let the village attack an innocent dragon either.

Saleth didn't mean to ignore Kress and Wes. However, when her sister threatened them, she had set herself firmly between them and her sister. Something was seriously wrong with Seiya. It scared Saleth to see and hear her sister acting like this. On top of it, the Heartless symbol on her. Seiya was too far gone for help. There was no way that Saleth would be able to save her sister from what she had become. After what she had done to her and her parents, Saleth had gotten angry. Naturally, she snapped and tackled her sister. Unfortunately, it caused the pair of them to tumble. Their path was headed straight for the unsuspecting village!
As the pair of them tumbled, Saleth tried to snap at her sister. She didn't dare to try and use her breath at that moment. It could harm her as well or accidentally get someone else who might be an innocent bystander. As they rolled, she didn't see Kress with his ship heading for the village himself.
All she knew was something had suddenly stopped Seiya and Saleth from tumbling. Struggling, Saleth and Seiya were forced apart by the impact they had made with the logs. It had slowed their descent and then stopped them both. The problem with that was that it made it difficult for either of them to get to their feet. Saleth staggered as she struggled to gain her footing before Seiya did. The logs around their feet made it almost impossible. As the two struggled, she could hear Kress shouting. He was apparently going to try and convince the locals that only one of them wasn't an enemy. He told her to keep focusing on Seiya and that she had the upper hand here.
Saleth looked in the direction he was shouting from. He had apparently put the logs in their place. Where it had hurt, Saleth was relieved that she hadn't collided with the village. Now that she knew who the real culprit was, she didn't want to harm anyone in it. Saleth was forced to tear her attention away when Seiya took that moment to smash her head into Saleth's chest. It knocked her down off her feet. Saleth let out a furious roar as she plummeted to the ground. Her figure hitting the ground letting out a dulled rumble.
Now, Saleth was thrown on the defensive. She writhed and squirmed, keeping Seiya just barely at bay from her exposed throat as she snapped at her. Eventually, Saleth had been able to flip her over and off. Saleth got back on her feet before the two faced each other again. Both had their fangs bared at one another as they circled, careful to not trip over the logs around them as they did so. Saleth waited for an opening before diving at Seiya again. This time, she managed to grab a hold of Seiya's snout in her teeth drawing blood. However, Seiya got back at her by leaving a nasty scratch across her chest.
Saleth released Seiya as she let out a roar of pain. Staggering backward, Saleth was soon overwhelmed by Seiya again as her sister tackled her, snapping. Saleth felt her bite onto her shoulder, making her let out a yelp. Furious, Saleth had enough. Breathing in deeply, Saleth turned her head around in Seiya's direction and exhaled. A blast of fire hit Seiya's shoulder. The flames were powerful enough to send Seiya off of her feet and back several feet from Saleth as she struggled to her feet. Blood stained the ground around them. Saleth appearing to be more injured than Seiya, whom received a nasty burn and a bite on the nose.

"Really, what's so hard to understand about this?! One of the dragons out there wants a complete human genocide, the other is fighting it. Why do you people want both dead?" Though Kress' question was a simple one, he'd get an eruption of answers from the mob of townsfolk, all of them sounding rather negative towards his notion. He should have expected this, these jackasses wouldn't just be able to accept the idea that one dragon wasn't an ally. It really frustrated Kress, Saleth was out there trying to stop her sister from turning these people into ash, yet they still cared little for her. For the most part, the muffled voices of the crowd in front of him had been relatively harmless, most of them just laughing at him or mocking his voice and words. Great, once again, the same treatment once again. Really, he was beginning to sense a pattern here. He'd speak up, get his points across, then be shot down by anyone he had been talking to. Well, almost anyone, there were the few that had listened to him when he spoke, and now one of them was in trouble outside of the city! He had to attempt something.
"Why don't you guys just take all this harshness you have towards me and aim it towards the dragon trying to fry you up out there?! Alone, none of us would even stand a chance against that beast, but with all of us and a dragon on our side, how could we possibly lose?" Shedding a nervous smile, Kress watched as his proposition towards the townsfolk was once again written off. Though, if anything, the mob seemed even more riled up than they were before. Not expecting this reaction at all from the town, Kress would be taken off guard when one of the people in the mob shouted out something that the other's seemed to agree with. "Why don't we just go out there and end both of the miserable beast's lives?! You said yourself, pointy-ears, we could take them out all together!" Hearing this large man scream this out among the already pissed-off mob was a bit worrying for Kress. Had he really just started the anti-Saleth movement unintentionally? He had to do something to fix this and fast! Though, he'd be a bit distracted by his partners giggling before he could focus on fixing his mistake.
"Dammit, Wes, what's so freaking funny?!"
"He called you pointy-ears! You know, it's kinda funny 'cause I call you-."
"Yeah, I get it." Shaking his head, Kress snapped out of his annoyance with his partner. "Wait!" Kress cried out, making sure he had most of the crowd's attention. " You- uh, you weaklings wouldn't stand a chance against those dragons! Even the one who's fight is not with you could gobble you up by the tens and twenties. Erm, what you folks need is a dragon-slaying hero!" trying to make his voice as deep as he could possibly muster, Kress puffed out his chest a bit, trying to play it off as if he truly wasn't a toothpick. Raising an eyebrow at his partner, Wes looked utterly baffled for a second, but quickly shed a devious smirk before addressing the town. "Rightio! What you weenies need is some help. Luckily for you, you got it right in front of you. For in front of you in this very moment stands the legendary dragon-slayers; Kressten the bold and Wesley the almighty!" Resisting the urge to slap his hand over his face, Kress now had to go with his partners terrible follow up. As would be expected, Kress could hear the crowd doubting his claims. Time to make sure Saleth is safe.
"No, I don't fear the fire-spewing beast's, for I can control their fire!" pulling out one of his pistols, Kress whistled for his partner, resulting in the weasel turning a deep red in color. Kress would try and not allow the weasel ti be seen by the crowd, as he was trying to put on a illusion that he could control fire. Aiming the gun in his hand toward the sky, Kress shot out a fire-bullet from his handgun, much to the shock of the crowd. Smiling at each other, the duo would slap each other five before sprinting through the crowd of people, their cheers of encouragement filling their ears as they passed. "Well, I gotta say, nice touch with the cheesy titles." Wes smirked a bit at the back-handed compliment as he patted the boy's cheek. "Yeah, yeah. Alright, hotshot, what's the new plan?" Kress only responded with a shrug, continuing to move forward to where he had last seen Saleth. Upon seeing the fighting siblings, Kress instantly frowned as he saw the blood on the ground near them. Sure, he fully expected some blood to be shed, but expecting to see an ally bleed and seeing it right before him were two very different things.
Looking upon the two dragons, Wes made an audible "ugh" when looking at Saleth. Though Seiya appeared a bit battered up herself, it was definitely easy to tell who was more beaten up here. "Dragon-butt ain't looking so good, Kress. Despite my first nature to just laugh at ol' big-butt over there, I really think she could use a hand." Squinting his eyes at Seiya a bit, Kress began a sprint towards the two dragon's fray, aiming his pistols for the genocide-seeking dragon. Firing four fire-shots at Seiya, Kress wouldn't even wait to see if they hit before addressing Saleth. "So, change of plans. Apparently, everyone in that village is a moron, so it appears you only have one measly human on your side." Chuckling a bit, Wes would see it fit as his time to chime-in. "No kidding, those people are so dense, it's almost worth just letting get turned into pudding." Wes would smile at the dragon before continuing. "Sheesh, it' gonna take a lot of band-aids to fix up your huge dragon ass!" Rolling his eyes, Kress would nervously smile at Saleth.
It may of not seemed like it, but that was the weasels way of saying she had his support, no matter how rude it may have seemed. Honestly, Kress wasn't even sure if his appearance in this fight would be a hindrance for Saleth or a good thing, but he didn't care. At least this way, Kress could possibly lend the dragon a hand against her sister rather than waste his breath against townsfolk while Salteh was engaged in a harsh battle. Though he seemingly had no plan, Kress had a bit of a hunch the villagers would be watching this fight, making him hope that they could see Saleth not strike him down, despite how close he was to the dragon. Of course, Kress would be read, for the opposite reaction of the crowd that watched, which would be the charging toward Saleth as the two fought and Kress would be ready to handle that, if the time came. Waiting for Seiya's next move, Kress would be at a safe distance to Saleth, making sure not to be in her way if she needed to move quickly. It may have been from a certain nerdy boy and his rude weasel she didn't care too much about, but it seemed Saleth wasn't alone in this fight.

Saleth wasn't sure what Kress and Wes were doing. All she cared about now was fighting her sister. Well, what was left of her. Something had made her go mad and turn into a Heartless. Was there any saving her? Saleth didn't think so. In her eyes, she was too far gone to rescue now. All that Saleth could do for Seiya now was end her suffering by killing her. Hopefully, it would be fast and quick.
When Kress and Wes had returned, Saleth didn't immediately take notice since her entire focus was to keep Seiya from getting past her. Then, she saw shots of fire headed right for Seiya. The thing had been so sudden that it had startled both dragons to a short standstill. Looking toward where the fire had come from, Saleth had spotted Kress and Wes again. Were these two suicidal? Seiya would kill them.
Saleth couldn't help but peer at them with obvious confusion. She was used to fighting by herself. All she could do was just simply nod before Seiya lunged for an attack again, retaliating. Of course, since she was angry, her focus had turned onto Wes and Kress, the smaller threats in her eyes. As she dived for them, Saleth intercepted her attack by leaping in the way. The result was Saleth getting cut on the arms from her sisters claws. She head butted Seiya, forcing the other to back off for a brief moment. Then, Seiya inhaled, ready to breathe flames. Saleth did the same.
Once again, Saleth breathed fire just when her sister did to counter her sister's flames. The two flames stopped in the middle, trying to overcome the other's fire but with no success. At one point, it seemed like Seiya's fire was winning, then the next, Saleth's then...neither's at all. It went on like this before each sibling lost their breath and had to stop. Something needed to be done before Saleth couldn't continue fighting. Already, she could feel the loss of blood effecting her.

Preparing himself for a dodge, Kress would be caught off guard by Saleth interrupting her sister's attack before it managed to hit him. He wasn't entirely sure if he would have even been able to get out of the way in time, so he appreciated the dragons help, but at the same time, it worried him. Saleth had already been taking a bit of a beating from her sibling, Kress really didn't like the idea that she had just taken even more to save his skin. No, she wasn't looking too hot, Kress had to do something fast! His first idea was... interesting to say the least, pretty much just experimental more than anything else. Reaching into his bag, Kress pulled out three Medi-bots that he had built before he had even met Saleth. These little trinkets of Kress' weren't too powerful, they would usually break down after treating a few wounds, but even that was on human-sized allies. Then again, Kress had never tried to use more than one on a person, as one is usually all they need, but Saleth was a dragon, maybe this many of his medical assistance bots would work on her? Well, it's not like it could hurt her, there really was no harm in trying it.
Activating all three Medi-bots, he directed them all to Saleth. As they flew over to tend her wounds, Kress would still feel a bit worried for the dragon. After all, he had never attempted to use these things on something as big as a dragon, it only made it worse when he considered the fact that he had designed these little machines to tend to minor wounds and damage on normal-sized allies. At the very least, he'd hope these three bots could at least stop her bleeding. Well, he could only hope. "Keep your guard up Saleth! We can try to cover you until you get your wounds squared away!" As positive as he sounded, Kress would be lying to himself if he said trying to cover Saleth from her very angry sister was something he was very optimistic about. "Y'know, before we offer ourselves as cover fire, maybe you try and hone in your counting skills. Gear and Gizmo only got three shots before they heat up, genius." Wes kept his voice rather low, trying to make sure the opposing dragon couldn't hear him. Wes may have been a loud mouthed buffoon, he was at least smart enough to keep a limitation of theirs from the demented sibling.
Now for the hard part, trying to keep Seiya's attention on him, that way Saleth could have some openings on her. Of course, keeping the attention of a fierce dragon was a much easier and not as frightening concept in one's head. Well, it was an easier in concept, at least. Seiya still scared the bijeebers out of Kress, even in his thoughts. Aiming and firing another shot of fire for the dragon, Kress spun his pistol in his hand, looking at Seiya with a raised eyebrow. "What kind of a dragon can't even take out a single human? What do you think, Wes, do we even need to protect this village from her?" Try as he might to hide his nervousness in his voice, bits and pieces of it would fade into his mocking statement. Just typical Kress problems. Wes recognized what his partner was getting at right away, chuckling out in his own retort, one that wouldn't have any of vocal giveaways that Kress' did. "Oh, Gods no. If anything, we should tell the villagers over there to take it easy on this sorry excuse for a dragon."
Smirking deviously, Wes stuck his little tongue out at Seiya, enjoying this idea of Kress' a bit too much. Preparing himself to lunge his twiggy body out of the way, Kress' attention would be stolen by the sudden swish of air that filled his ears, followed by a large crashing sound behind him. Darting his head behind him, Kress saw what appeared to be shatter remains of a large rock of some kind. A bit worried by this sight, Kress quickly calculated where the rock must have been launched from based on the landing area, causing his eyes to focus on the village. Peaking out just over the villages wall, Kress could the tip of a catapult, making Kress grunt to himself a bit. Great, not only were these people stupid enough not to listen to him when he told them Saleth was on their side, now they were launching boulders at the fray, even knowing Kress was in there somewhere. On the bright side of things, the rock did appear to be aimed at Seiya, rather than Saleth. Perhaps the villagers were planning on taking that dragon out first? After all, it'd make sense, Seiya appeared to be the less damaged of the two. Wait, why was he finding reasons for this to be okay?! This wasn't a good thing by any stretch of the imagination.
"Are you kidding?! Is the collective I.Q. of this damn world have an average of potato?! Ugh." Shaking the annoyed look off of his face, Kress addressed Saleth, still keeping his eyes on Seiya. "Watch your head Saleth, the damn villagers are trying to 'help me.' And by help me, I mean ruin my whole plan together!"
"We had a plan?!"
"Well, it was more of an initial idea, I was kind of making the rest as I went alo- dammit Wes, now's not the time!" Trying his best to keep his composure, Kress kept his sights on Seiya, waiting for her to so much as twitch a bit before he even thought about moving. He was completely nervous and unsure of himself, as per usual, but the fact that he only had two shots left before his pistols overheated definitely didn't help the boy keep his positive and collected outlook he normally had. Man, this really just wasn't his day.
(OOC: Well, that was a late post lol. As for the medi-bots, they only last two post unless broken before hand and can't heal wounds too big, but you have control on how effective or ineffective they are on Saleth.)

What Saleth did not expect were tiny robotic insect-like things buzzing toward her. She hadn't seen where they came from, so naturally, she hissed at them. Seiya, too, looked wary since she had no idea what they were either. The things went right for Saleth and it made her uneasy. Just what were these things? Should she attack? The dragon gave a jolt when one had managed to land on her without her able to react fast enough. It went right for her largest wound and did something that made her itchy. It stopped the bleeding there while the other two landed on her and went for the other wounds.
Only then did Saleth finally hear Kress calling out to her. Kress and Wes would distract Seiya for her while the robots tended to her wounds. So, these contraptions were Kress's? Saleth finally calmed down enough to let the robots do their job. They didn't heal the wounds entirely but they were stopping the bleeding. At least that would prevent blood loss and keep her from fainting. Still, she had lost a lot of blood. She could end up fainting after all was said and done or even in the midst of battle. She hoped not. Kress and Wes would be food for Seiya if she did.
As for Kress and Wes, Seiya's attention was taken entirely off of her older sister to peer down at the vermin. Her maddened eyes weren't easily seen through the dark, swirling mist that covered them. They were taunting her and it was working. The pointy eared one was saying that she couldn't even take out a human. He then questioned the tiny, furry and loud mouthed one if they even needed to protect the village from her. Seiya slowly bared her teeth, anger rising with every second.
The furry one responded to the pointy eared one's question. According to that one, they should tell the villagers to go easy on Seiya. That had been enough. She let out a thunderous roar. Only then did something come plummeting out of the sky to land near them. It made everyone look over in surprise. The village was using a catapult to toss rock in their direction. Well, wasn't that just peachy?
It didn't take long before Kress spoke to Saleth, telling her to watch out since the village was trying to help him. So much for help from the look of things. Saleth was too exhausted to respond. The bots had stopped the bleeding she had but the wounds hadn't been entirely healed. Once this fight was over, Saleth would have to rest and tend to her wounds.
Seiya took that moment to charge after Kress and Wes, mouth opened like she planned on chomping on them if she got a hold of them.

(OOC: Well, talk about a late post, eh? I'm trying to get back on my normal posting schedule, so I should be more active soon.)
The confidence Kress had in this plan to distract Seiya from harming Saleth any further would quickly fade from the boy with the sight of Seiya charging for him. No matter how many times he reminded himself that he was going to be fighting a dragon, the sight of Saleth's sibling coming towards him with her mouth was more than rattling to Kress. Snapping himself out of his fear-induced stillness and threw himself out of the charging dragon's way, landing with a clumsy roll on a patch of grass to the left of him. With how runty Kress was, even landing on the grass winded the boy a bit, but he was certain a trip to Seiya's mouth would've been a lot less of a survivable feat, so Kress didn't see knocking the air out of him to be that bad. "Having second thoughts, Kressy?" Wes' voice was filled with annoyance as the weasel climbed up his partner's leg, having tumbled off of the boy during his roll. "You know me, always!" Still regaining his breath, Kress quickly pushed a button on each of his pistols, causing the nozzles of both guns to open, letting steam out of them. Placing his dual handguns in their holsters, Kress unsheathed his sword and aimed it towards the dragon.
"Guess my guns wont quite cut it."
"Yeesh, now I'm rooting for the dragon..." Hanging his head down in shame for a quick moment, Kress would instantly perk his head up and look at Seiya. "If that's really the fastest you can move, I think that village will have enough time to move the whole town to a entirely new location!" Smiling a bit after finishing his next baiting insult, it was clear Kress was enjoying this a little too much. He normally had to play the part of the helpful nerd, but now he was given a chance to act out of his usual character. Honestly, Kress was begging to see why Wes had such a fun time being an ass to everyone, as Kress found taunting this deranged dragon very amusing. Well, he would find it amusing now, at least. If Seiya reacted like she did to the duo's insults last time, Kress would be wishing he had never even mentioned it to her. To make matters worse, the boy had disabled his guns to allow them to cool down, so now he was stuck with only a close-ranged attack option with Seiya. This was going to be... interesting, to say the least. Though he was trying to keep all of his focus on Seiya, Kress couldn't help but gush a bit at what was going on here. He, the failure and local loser of his village, the walking toothpick himself... he was taking on a freaking dragon! Who would have thought?!
Still, Seiya wasn't some shallow celebrity for Kress to feel honored to met, this female dragon wanted to crush him between her jaws! That didn't sound pleasant. "Wes, lightning blade!" Within a second of his command, his sword would glow a vibrant yellow, small sparks coming off of it. Wes himself would be a bright yellow, matching the color of the sword. Before Kress would have a chance to confront Seiya, the sound of the village firing yet another rock towards the fray could be heard. Fortunately, this one missed yet again, but this one was a bit more worrying to Kress, as it appeared to be closer to Saleth than Seiya. Well, it made sense to Kress that these guys would target the wounded dragon instead of the moving one, considering how bad their aim was. Could things ever just work out the way they did in his mind? Seriously, had these villagers just trusted Kress, He and Saleth would be fighting a rock-pelted dragon instead of this rage-induced dragon. Oh well, now was not the time to be a pessimist, he had to focus on keeping Seiya off of her sibling... as well as making sure the local idiots didn't nail Saleth in the head with any rocks. She already made it clear she had a dislike for humans earlier, despite her wanting to protect the village as well, Kress highly doubted she be as willing to protect after a few hits from them.
Holding his sword out in front of him, the boy charged towards Seiya, preparing to himself to get in a quick few strikes then get out of her range. If Kress wanted to avoid being dragon food, his best bet was to chip away at Seiya for as long as he could, as he was fairly certain there was no way he was gonna be taking down this massive creature on his own. If Seiya charged toward him first, Kress would obviously play the defensive game, trying his best to get a small number of quick strikes in on her as she approached and then get some space between him and the dragon. If Seiya was waiting for his move however, Kress would approach her rather quick, attempting to use his momentum for one strong slash rather than a few weak slashes. As nervous as he was, Kress was determined to put his plan into action. He was aware that he could easily be stopped during his attempts at attacking Seiya just by her pure might, but that wasn't going to stop him here. Despite only meeting her recently, there weren't many that would even bother associating themselves with the nerdy boy, Kress wasn't gonna let her regret letting him tag along from the castle they met in. Not if he could help it, at least.

(OOC: It's fine so long as you're alright lol.)
Saleth could do nothing but watch as Seiya charged for Kress and Wes. Saleth wanted to intercept Seiya's charge as Kress suddenly went still. This was no fight for the human and weasel to take part in! This was dangerous! Well, she guessed he might have known that but Seiya wasn't a typical villain. She was a Heartless. Seiya was more savage because of it. Unfortunately, the machines on her forced her to remain still. Saleth didn't want to wreck Kress's stuff. Those things might be very expensive or very hard to repair or both. Not only that but Saleth couldn't really move fast or much with her injuries that the machines were fixing up. She was forced to watch.
Eventually, Kress managed to snap out of his fear and dodge Seiya. He was now taking out a sword now that he had dodged. Was this kid suicidal? Saleth growled in a low voice as the machines continued their work.
Seiya had passed Kress, whirling on the spot as she turned to face Kress whom now had a sword out. She let out a laugh at his punch line which hadn't been all that funny. "If you think a sword is going to save you, you're sadly mistaken!" she growled at him. What Kress said next angered her. Seiya let out a loud bellow as this time, she charged with the intention of following him to the point of snapping at his heels if she could with full intention of ripping into him.
There was the sound of something coming. Before long, Saleth saw what looked to be a boulder that had been meant for her. The village certainly had no qualms firing things at them. They meant business and Saleth and Seiya weren't welcome here. Saleth could see why Seiya hated humans. She didn't understand completely what had happened here other than Seiya had to have suffered. She had suffered so greatly that she was now a Heartless. Whatever had happened had caused her to kill their family. Now, she was trying to make Saleth join her and since that was a bust, Seiya intended to kill Kress and Wes. Then, she would try to kill Saleth.
Seeing Kress fending off Seiya to the best of his abilities, Saleth cursed her situation. Finally, when the machines closed up her wounds, Saleth was able to move again. However, she was sluggish from her blood loss. She could move only so much and her energy was depleted. She had to be careful. As Seiya and Kress were fighting, Saleth was coming up from behind.

Growling a bit at the dragon's sword comment, Wes shot Seiya a glare. "Go ahead, underestimate Kressy here. It'll make it all the more satisfying when his tooth-picky ass tears you a new one. While Kress appreciated his partner's attempt to retaliate the dragon's comment about the boy's reliance on his sword, he couldn't help but feel that this wasn't the best time. Not only was Seiya already pissed at the pointy-eared boy, he was kind of counting on the fact that she wouldn't be expecting much from him. After all, what would be better to catch a foe off guard with his hidden potential? Gods, did his loud-mouthed idiot buffoon of a partner always have to screw him over? It certainly seemed so. Welp, no use crying over split milk. Seiya obviously didn't take too kindly to Kress' comment about her sluggish speed (despite her causing the boy to wear himself out with just the dodging of her initial charge,) as she was charging toward him rather quickly. While this was going on, Kress peered over in Saleth's general direction, seeing that she was moving a bit with the corner of his eyes. Was this dragon nuts?! Why did she think Kress was even putting his neck out for her?! The sexual thrill of it? Unless... Kress smiled a bit as he realized she was simply positioning herself behind Seiya. Well, now he had to make sure Seiya stayed oblivious to her approaching sibling. That complicated things.
Wasting no time, Kress conducted a quick makeshift battle strategy. "Wes, wind dash!" As soon as the words left his mouth, a silvery aura began to emit off of the boy, looking as if it was coming off of him in waves. Kress would rest his sword on his shoulder as he waited for the charging dragon to reach him, most likely looking like an idiot to both of the dragon siblings. Once Seiya was in striking range of him, Kress hopped back with three times his normal speed, attempting to throw himself out of Seiya's path. He hadn't seen her make sharp turns before, but he wasn't trying to get too cocky in this fight. He was well aware with just as much as one slip-up, this demented dragon would rip him to shreds. Though, when one is moving at three times their normal speed, it's a bit hard to not feel a little smug. Especially when a certain dragon had been referring to him as 'human scum.' Technically, Seiya was only half right, but Kress highly doubted that she'd care that he wasn't entirely human. Maybe Seiya had a secondary hatred for elves as well? He couldn't say for sure, but he just assumed she just saw him as close enough to a human to hate. He could respect that. Well, not really, he didn't respect jack-diddily-poo about this genocide-seeking dragon.
"Supreme being" my little furry ass! Come on, Kress, let's put this moron out of her miser- Hey!" Kress would interrupt his partner with a slap like he had down countless time before. He may have been insulting Seiya, but Kress doubted Saleth wanted to here those kinds of insults directed at what was once her sibling. Empathy wasn't Wes' strong point.
Still, Kress wasn't quite finished yet. How could he keep Seiya's attention with just a dodge? No, he had a bit more up his sleeve. Biting the pin off of one of his smoke-bombs, Kress tossed it down to his feet, causing it to cloud the area around him. Being outside, the smoke from Kress' bomb would easily fade into the wind, so he had to act fast. Honestly, Kress wasn't even sure if this would help at all. Would Seiya be able to detect where Kress was in the smoke? After all, he had notice Saleth seemed to have some sort of higher sense than he did, so he couldn't rule out the possibility that Seiya knew where he was.
"Wind slice!" From the smoke, Kress quickly swung his sword in an 'x' shape, resulting in a ripple of air flying out of the smoke heap aimed towards Seiya. If she was quick enough, shed be able to dodge it with relative ease, but even if it hit, the attack was one of his weaker ones. Glancing up at his partner, Kress could see that Wes looked a bit tuckered out. After all, Wes didn't normally have to channel two elements at the same time, so keeping Kress' sword lightning-cover and the boy himself surrounded in wind aura.. it was a little much for the little guy. "Hang in there a little bit longer, Wes, we just gotta keep this psychopath's attention on us."
"What are you talking about?! I could keep going for hours. Let's take this prick down a few pegs, Kressy." Kress would smirk a bit hearing his out-of-breath ally try to convince him he wasn't worn-out, but would ignore him. Hopefully Seiya wouldn't catch on to the fact that he was merely trying to distract her, but he wouldn't underestimate her.

Saleth could see that Kress and Wes were doing their best. She was just sluggish from her injuries. They might have been closed so that the major ones weren't bleeding anymore but she had still lost a significant amount of blood. It was taking everything she had just to remain conscious with every step she had made to move into a position behind Seiya. It seemed that her smaller friends were doing a good job in keeping Seiya distracted. As the four of them did what they were doing, the village kept catapulting rocks and the lock. Thankfully, all were missing their marks. However, Saleth was quite keen to get out of here before they hit them.
Kress seemed to catch on to what Saleth was doing. Seiya, on the other hand, was oblivious. She was so centered on what she perceived as human that she hadn't been paying attention to anything else. Her hatred is what filled her. As the dragon attempted to charge Kress, he had dodged her advance once again. Yet, she could sense that he was tiring from the effort of avoiding something as large as she.
What he did next though infuriated her even more. Her senses were definitely heightened like that of Saleth's. However, with the smoke bombs that Kress used, she couldn't smell him through or see through the smoke even though the covering was brief. She let out an annoyed snarl but it was short lived. Something came flying out and hit Seiya.
The dragon let out a surprised screech when the air attack had hit home. Although it were a weak attack, it did cut through a layer of her dragon chest's skin. Seiya flailed for a short moment in agony as she felt the sting all over. If her pain wasn't bad then, it soon got worse when Saleth had finally reached where she was and pounced onto her back from behind, digging her claws into her sister's flesh. Seiya let out painful cries. How could one not with one's claws digging in and drawing blood?
Saleth let out a hiss as she chomped down on the back of Seiya's nape of the neck. If she had bitten any deeper than she did now, she could have severed her sister's spinal cord and ended her sister's life right then and there. Unfortunately, she couldn't bring it in herself to do it. She couldn't kill her baby sister. When she had bit down, she had lessened the momentum as the flashbacks hit her about their relationship as sisters. In her mind, she knew that although this was Sieya that it wasn't the Seiya she once knew, she still couldn't help but think it. It was too much for her. Sensing this Seiya let out a dark laugh before dispersing.
"...Damn it..." Saleth stated, sitting down, unable to go on much longer as she soon shifted back into her normal human-like form. She was sitting in the snow and didn't look like she could move on her own. In fact, she looked pale, as if she were about to faint. Seiya might be gone but she wasn't dead. Saleth tiredly looked over at Kress and Wes.
Then, slowly, her eyes rolled back and she collapsed, fainting.

Well, despite only being able to chip away at Seiya, Kress felt like he was doing a well enough job distracting her. This was only further proven to him as he watch Saleth approach her sister from behind with a vicious bite on the neck. Kress was no expert in dragon anatomy, but judging where Saleth had landed this chomp, he was pretty sure she'd be able to end this scuffle in a matter of seconds. Good thing too, Wes probably wouldn't have been able to keep channeling so many elements for much longer. Though, Kress would be met with a surprise when he saw what happened next. Saleth had her sister, all she had to do was bite down hard enough to put her sister out of her misery, but Saleth... didn't? Although Kress felt a bit disgruntled at first about it, the boy instantly understood why Saleth couldn't finish off Seiya, watching bitterly as the heartless dragon laughed as she vanished. Hanging his head down a bit, Kress sheathed his sword, all of Wes' channeled elements being deactivated with it's sheathing. It just upset the boy, even after how hard he tired to help Saleth put an end to her former siblings life, it wasn't enough. He was too weak to make much of a dent into the heartless dragon and Saleth couldn't bring herself to end her younger sister.
While Kress was understanding, his partner was far less compassionate. Luckily for Saleth's ears, she'd pass out from fatigue before the little prick could insult her to her face. "Stupid-ass dragons! Gods, we had it, Kress! All we needed was for Sally to finish the job! Ugh, now that stupid village is gonna call us out." Shaking his head as walked towards Saleth, Kress began examining her as he retorted to Wes. "First off, I highly doubt those morons will even know Seiya is still alive, they couldn't even grasp the concept that one of the dragons here wished them no harm. Secondly, put yourself in her shoes, Wes. If it were me who had corrupted into a heartless, would you be able to kill me so easily?" Checking for any serious signs of damage on Saleth, Kress would only hear an annoyed snorting sound come from his weasel, a sign that Wes' at the very least understood what happened, but not enough to respect Saleth's handling of the situation. Kress didn't even expect his to be shut down so easily, so just Wes understanding the basic idea of her not wanting to kill her sister was a bit of a pleasant surprise.
Luckily, Saleth wasn't dead or even too badly injured, she most likely passed out from blood loss. Well, technically, any sort of fainting was bad, but the fact she had no real damage done to her was a pretty good thing in Kress' eyes. Looking up higher up the mountain, Kress scowled a bit. He wasn't about to leave Saleth unconscious in the snow, but he was positive his toothpick arms wouldn't be able to carry Saleth up there. He wasn't even sure if he could manage to carry her to the nearby village, let alone the steep climb to Saleth's home. Kneeling down and grabbing hold of the unconscious Saleth, Kress slowly stood up with her in his arms, trying his best not to topple over. "We'll have to head to the village and get a room there. Saleth reverted to her human form before she passed out, so we shouldn't be killed on the spot for having a dragon with us." Rolling his eyes at his partner, Wes grabbed Kress's head and turned it toward's Saleth. "Hey, genius, aren't you forgetting something?! Dragon-butt has a damn tail and wings on her, even in this form! They'll have to notice that!" Shrugging his shoulders as he walked towards the town, Kress simply smiled at his weasel. "We'll think of something, we were able to make up that first lie earlier. Besides, I'm not just gonna leave Saleth in the snow."
With that, the two were off towards the village. Wes did bring up a good point about Saleth having her dragon features, even in this form, but Kress was a quick thinker. He'd be able to think of a reason to be carrying an unconscious dragon. Approaching the town, Kress would hear a few cheers from the townspeople while he was in the distance, but as he was getting closer to it, the cheers would fade. Nervously smiling at the surprised-looking villagers, Kress would attempt to walk past them and towards an inn in the center of town, but would feel a strong hand clasp on his right shoulder before he could completely make it to the inn. "What do you think you're doing bringing this beast into our village? Have you not seen what her kind are capable of?" As much as Kress didn't want to deal with this man, he knew there was no way he would be making it to the inn without giving some sort of answer.
"Of course we know what they're capable of, we defended your tiny village from being stepped on, didn't we?! So if you could be so kind and remove your fat, meaty hand off of my friend here, we'd be delighted to fill you in." Sadly, Kress couldn't stop his partner's insult, as his hands were a bit occupied with Saleth's limp body. Watching as the big villager slowly moved his hand off of him, Kress let out a sigh of relief. He was expecting this man to rip him in half after Wes' comment, so seeing that he was interested in what the two of them had to say was great. Now he just had to make up a reason for carrying his unconscious ally. Well, without stating the truth to them, as they were too ignorant to believe that.
"Well, you see, before this mighty dragon fainted, she shared some interesting news with me. She said there are many more like the dragon who attacked this village out there, and that she would lead me straight to them if I spared her life. I accepted her offer, but she can't come through with it if she is dead, now can she?" Coming up with this silly story on the fly, Kress was feeling pretty smug with himself. Well, until he heard the man's next question. "Why are you putting faith into that cretin's words? She could easily be playing you for a fool."
"Why am I putting my trust in her? Um... t-that's an easy one. You see, she.. uh, she has a common enemy in the dragon that attacked the village today. Her hatred for this dragon is enough for her to team up with a human like me. If I had no reason to believe her, do you really think I'd bring her straight to you? Watching the man scowl a bit, Kress began to walk towards the inn slowly, seeing that no one was stopping him this time. Well, not stopping him physically, at least. The stares he was getting were another story. Walking into the inn, Kress approached the front desk and asked for a room, surprisingly being able to get one without much of a hassle. His guess was that the inn keeper bad eyesight or something, perhaps only remembering Kress as "that young man who went to slay a dragon for our village." Still, less hassle wasn't something to complain about. What was something to complain about was the climb up the stairs to the room he had gotten, but even that was manageable. Reaching the room he had ordered, Kress immediately rushed towards the bed in the room and gently plopped Saleth down on it. His arms felt as if they were going to fall off, but he highly doubted that had anything to do with Saleth's weight.
The room itself wasn't anything to write home about, just a bare-bone room with a fireplace near the bed, couch in the center of the room and a bookshelf filled with countless dusty books in the left corner of the room. Snapping his fingers for his weasel, he would light the fire place using Wes as a lighter before grabbing a book off of the bookshelf and plopping himself on the couch. Despite not being able to read the title of the book, Kress figured he may as well have something to pass the time while waiting for Saleth to come to, and a book was enough entertainment for him. He wasn't exactly sure if any book written in this world would be worth a damn though, as this place seemed to be a bit behind when it came to technology, as the most advanced thing he had seen in the village were fireworks.

Saleth had hated herself for being so weak. If she wasn't, she could have ended what was going on with Seiya much sooner rather than what she would be dealing with later. Seiya wouldn't be dumb enough to do the same thing twice. She was crazy, because of the darkness in her, but not stupid. She had done a significant amount of damage to Saleth. If it hadn't been for Kress's robots that healed her wounds enough to seal them, things could have easily gotten much worse.
When she had fainted, nothing else seemed to matter and anything that happened around her while she was in this state remained unknown to her. It had been a very lucky thing that she had passed out before she could hear Wes. She knew if she had been conscious, she would have been insulted. It was justifiable considering the other two had risked their lives. It was an injustice to them to not pull through and kill her sister...but Saleth couldn't do it. She didn't have the strength to kill her own sister. She lacked the will to do so. She wasn't ready for this sort of thing so early. What was she going to do?
As she was picked up, Saleth was oblivious to the world. She remained slumped against Kress as he struggled to keep her up and did his best to not accidentally drop her. When they got to the village, she remained still. Saleth heard nothing of what transpired. If she did, she might be grumpy with Kress but mostly the village. Thankfully, she had heard and seen nothing all the way to the room that Kress and Wes had taken her to.
When Kress gently plopped Saleth onto the bed, she remained out cold for a good several hours before finally, she started to come to. It started with a brief twitch of her fingers. Then, she went still. It looked like that was all that was going to happen. Then, there was a brief groan as Saleth finally began to stir out of her unconscious state.
As she slowly opened her eyes, it took a moment for Saleth's vision to clear as she blinked blearily about. When her vision came to, she had no clue where she was. It took her a good minute to realize she was in a strange place before shooting up. Her whole posture was rigid. As she shot up, Saleth hurt what injuries she still had and winced.
"Where am I?!"

As Saleth awoke, Kress would be knelt down beside the bookshelf, his face looking disgruntled. Hearing the dragon’s question, he’d quickly answer her. ”Apparently a place with no decent literature. Sheesh.” Kress said tossing another book to the side. Though, he’d quickly realize that he had just answered Saleth sarcastically, something a person who had just been unconscious for a few hours probably didn’t want to hear. Scrambling to his feet, Kress would quickly walk towards the dragon, shaking his head as he watched her wince. ”I really don’t think rapid movement is the best idea in your current state, Saleth.” Again, the boy had forgotten to actually answer her question. He really wasn’t used to having to deal with someone who had been knocked out cold. Normally whenever Kress got into combat, he was the one who’d end up unconscious. The fact the he managed to keep himself from getting hit once from Seiya was nothing sort of a miracle in Kress’ eyes, but he was fairly certain that had something to with Saleth being there.
”Well, you passed out in the snow, so Wes and I took you to an inn in the village. It’s not a five star place or anything, but I figured it was better than laying down in the freezing snow.” After finishing his explanation, the boy got up and began to walk to the other side of the bed , grabbing a tray of food that was placed on the bedside table. Placing it down beside her, Kress would look back at his weasel sleeping on the couch before continuing. ”The inn keeper brought this up, nothing too fancy, just some soup and bread, but I suggest you put something in you. You don’t know how hard it was keeping that little bastard over there from gobbling it down.” Chuckling to himself a bit, Kress turned his head away from Saleth. Small talk was always something Kress couldn't do very well, so making casual conversation with someone he saw as strong and distant as Saleth... Well, his awkward meter was off the charts. He didn’t even want to see how Saleth was gonna react if she heard the lie he had told to even get the room they were in, so he really wasn’t ready to ask her just what she was planning to do about her sister just yet, not if he wanted to stay in one piece.
Kress wasn't planning on asking Saleth why she hadn't finished her sibling off or what happened back there, as he was sure that it was a sore subject, not to mention the fact that the answer as to why she hesitated was rather obvious. Though every fiber in Kress’ being wanted to return to the bookshelf and attempt to find a decent book, Kress figured that he may as well do the responsible thing and make sure Saleth had an idea of what she was doing next. Of course, Kress wouldn't assume she’d still want him around, as Kress still got a bit of a ‘get away from me,’ vibe from the female dragon, but still felt as if he at least owed her his input on her next move. After all, Saleth had not only taken all of the big blows from Seiya, she also dealt them. If there was any reason Kress wasn't the injured one, it was her, and he was willing to show his gratitude to her in any way he could. Luckily for them, Wes was asleep, meaning that Kress could possibly being able to have a normal conversation for once..
”I’m, uh, not trying to open old wounds here... But uh. Gods, that was terrible wording. Eerm, let’s try this again” shaking his head, Kress made the decision to give this another go. ”After you’re all healed up and what not, do you know your next plan of action, Saleth? If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't know where to begin, but if there’s anything I can do to help you, don’t hesitate to ask.. Jeez, this guy could always find a way to make something intended to be sincere sound so dorky and pathetic, but at least he meant well. Granted, he wasn't sure how Saleth would feel about him bringing up her sister after Seiya had just weakened her, but he wasn't sure what else to do. He didn't want to offend her, but with Seiya escaping with human genocide on the mind, Kress couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy about the whole situation.
