Saleth heard a familiar voice answer her question. Confusedly, she turned her head toward the source. Blinking, to clear her vision better, she finally spotted Kress. He had been near what looked to be a book shelf. He didn't seem to like the books provided, wherever they were. Kress seemed to have realized she was awake and scrambled to his feet to come over to where she was. As she winced, she heard Kress telling her that rapid movement in her case may not be a smart idea. She looked over at him, a slightly annoyed expression on her face.
"I'll be fine."
Finally, Kress answered her question. They had gone to the village that had been catapulting boulders and other harmful objects at them from afar. They were in the inn of the place and according to Kress, it wasn't the kind of place he had been expecting. Kress thought that she'd not like the place either, stating that this was at least a better option compared to the snow that she had been lying in. Saleth gave a jolt at that, sitting up more straight, the look on her face clearly showed what was akin to horror.
"Are you crazy?! They'll kill us!"
The jolt made Saleth hurt her side. She winced and clutched at her side again. It didn't look like she had opened a wound up again though. Kress had mentioned food but Saleth was highly suspicious of it. The inn keeper had given them soup and bread? Who was to say if it wasn't secretly poisoned? Saleth sniffed it but didn't touch it. As Kress told her that it was hard to keep Wes from gobbling it up, she snorted.
"Good thing you didn't, that could be riddled with poison."
Now that she thought about it, why weren't they under attack now? Surely, they would have seen Saleth weak and injured? Why wasn't someone coming to get her? She looked over at Kress, not asking that question just yet. Things were, for once, quiet. Wes wasn't making any snide remarks or insulting either of them. In fact, as she looked where Kress had pointed, she found the weasel curled up and asleep. For once, the little creature looked harmless and maybe even cute.
Then, Kress broke the silence. Saleth looked over at him. He was right about her being strong and distant. She had her reasons to be. She hated all humans for what they had done to her. Saleth couldn't trust humans. Yet, this one had helped her...but he didn't seem like he was entirely human. Just what was he anyway? Saleth had never asked him. He was trying to speak to her but he was awkward about it. Why was he acting like a frightened rabbit?
Finally, Kress managed to ask her after she was healed, what her next course of action would be. If there was anything he could do to help her, he told her to not hesitate to ask. "Why do you want to help me so much? What's in it for you?" Saleth questioned him. She was curious of the reason. She suspected he wasn't entirely chivalrous. There had to be a reason why he wanted to help her so much.

(OOC: I was really hoping that my post wouldn't be so dialogue-heavy, but I apologize for the dialogue-heavy post in advance. If you'd like me to change it up a bit, please don't be hesitant to ask.)
Seeing Saleth back to her human-hating ways was almost a relief to Kress. Sure, he didn't agree with Saleth's views on humans, but knowing that she still felt as she did was a sign that she didn't hurt anything too badly, at the very least. Before Kress could get an answer from Saleth, he'd get a question in return from the dragon. A rather odd question if one was to ask Kress. Why would anyone question someone offering help to another? It was a pretty common practice on Kress' home world. Still, if Kress was planning on getting any sort of answer from Saleth, it'd probably be in his best interest to give her an answer. Kind of odd that he'd have to answer a question for a an answer to his question. This dragon really didn't want to make things go smooth, did she? Letting out a bit of a sigh, Kress blew a bit of air out of his nose. "Well, for starters, I highly doubt the inn keeper would poison your food, I don't think her eyesight was even decent-enough to notice your dragon features." Ripping off a small piece of the bread and dipping it into the soup, Kress popped it in his mouth, giving Saleth a bit of a smug look. "See, perfectly fine. Wes would've been able to sniff the poison if there was any in this anyway, so I doubt Wes would want to eat something he detected poison in. Besides, there's a bit of a reason the village isn't going to harm you, but we won't dwell on that just yet."
Kress would say the last bit extremely fast, hoping to slur as many words as he could together so Saleth couldn't make them out. "As for why I want to help you... it's a bit... complicated.." scratching the back of his head, Kress would pause for a moment before putting the words together in his head. "I'm not a very well-liked guy back in my home world, shocking, I know. I'm seen as a failure, loser, wimp and pretty much every negative name you think of. Seriously, even my own father thinks that of me, so my home life isn't typical." Though Kresss sounded like his cheery usual self, his eyes would tell a different story, as the boy wasn't even able to make eye-contact with Saleth while informing her of his reasons for helping her. "Though, I know I can change their minds about me, I just have to prove to my town that I'm not a worthless nobody, that's why I decided to leave that place until I could prove myself as a hero. Don't worry, I'm getting to the point in a sec here." Well, that was the easy part, giving her the reason as to why he was helping her specifically, that was a bit hard for Kress to explain.
”As for why I’m helping you... That kind of goes back to the whole “proving myself a hero,” thing. When we first met, you seemed a bit turned around, so I offered some help purely out of my will. But now that you have your sibling out trying to eliminate all humans, I feel like I can’t consider myself any sort of hero if I just let her go on a genocide of the human race. I know that’s not your reasoning for wanting to take your sister down, your reasons are much more personal, but I feel like I have to help in some way. Personally, I don’t think the people of this village deserved saving from your sister, but not all humans are like these ignorant buffoons, some don’t deserve what Seiya plans to do to them.” Yeesh, that was a mouthful. Really, Kress wasn't a fan of yapping on and on like this, but he felt as if he had to in order to have any sort of chance of Saleth understanding him. Even with this long-winded explanation, he wouldn't be surprised if Saleth didn't want his help. After all, despite Kress wanting to stop her sibling from killing innocents, they had completely different reasons for wanting to stop Seiya, Saleth’s reasons making much more sense than Kress’.
Kress wouldn't invite himself along, though. He may not of had very strong bonds with his family, but he had read enough comic books and literature in his time to know that most people liked to handle family matters on their own and he could respect that. If Saleth wanted him gone after all of this, he wouldn't argue with her choice. He saw Saleth as pretty rational for the most part, the one exception being her rage fit when she had discovered her parent’s tombstones, but he couldn't blame her for getting caught up in that. Her rational ways in mind, Kress would only hope she stayed consistent and let him tag along. Well, if she was even pursuing Seiya that is. He was too busy giving the dragon a long-winded answer to remember that he had never actually got any sort of confirmation from her. During all of this, Kress would still be talking in a relatively quiet tone of voice, not wanting to awake the sleeping annoyance that was his partner. Really, if either Kress or Saleth wanted a decent conversation about what they were doing next, it'd be in their best interest keep Wes out of it.

When Kress explained that he doubted the inn keeper could have seen well enough to poison Saleth's food, she still scrunched up her nose with distaste. She wouldn't trust that. Only a fool would trust the thought of the inn keeper being hard of sight. Who was to say if no one else knew of Saleth's presence and laced it with poison? Then, before she could react, Kress had taken a piece of the bread and dipped it before popping it into his mouth. "No, wai-!" but it had been too late. Kress had eaten that piece. Then, Kress explained that Wes would have sensed poison in the food and would not have gone for it if he did.
"Hmph, shows how much you know about poisons. There are odorless ones, you know." Saleth scoffed. Nope, even if Kress appeared to be well and alive, she had no intention of touching the food. She was strongly repulsed by it because of the fact it came from those humans. She would rather starve to death than accept anything from them. What Kress said about the village not harming her made her furrow her brows in question but Kress avoided getting into that. Just what did he mean by that?
Kress went on to explain to her then why he wanted to help her. It was complicated, according to him. He was the type that got looked down upon. Saleth couldn't believe her ears. Well, she had heard of these sort of things but the fact that this guy was actually willing to believe he was all of those things was starting to tick her off. On top of it, his own father thought the same. Wasn't one's own flesh and blood suppose to be loyal to them? Saleth's upper lip quivered as if she were about to bare her fangs as the pupils that were normally round like a human's began to become slit like that of a cat's.
Then, Kress went on about how he wanted to prove himself to his home that he wasn't some worthless nobody. He wanted to prove that he was a hero to them. This was also something Saleth didn't like. Since when did anyone have to prove themselves to others in that nature? There would be no pleasing such selfish and self centered people. Kress was just trying to prove himself to people that would only care for the moment and not the long run. Kress would end up befriending people that didn't care about him and only cared about the deeds he did. They wouldn't care about him for who he was as a person.
What Kress did next wasn't good. Saleth let out a low, menacing growl. "What I do with my sibling is none of your business." She forced herself up onto her feet, not even caring about her own health right now as she took a few steps away from the bed. Admittedly, it made her feel a bit light headed but she refused to let it show as she glared over at Kress. She wasn't going to harm him. He had earned that much from her at least.
"And proving yourself to fools who never cared about you from the beginning that you're a hero? Since when does anyone have to prove themselves to others? What matters most is what you think of yourself. What they say is utter nonsense. Such fools that judge others in such ways rather than seeing them for what they really are, are not ever worth befriending. If they cannot accept you for who you are as a person, then there is no point in proving yourself. You will only befriend people who like you for the moment and they will be fake toward you. Tell me, what's more important? Being liked for what you are or being liked for just your deeds and not liked as a person?" Saleth crossed her arms then as she looked at him sternly.
"No one has to ever change for others."

(OOC: Geez, sorry about how late this is Sprow, but school and work are the most perfect of tag-team combos when it comes to killing free time. After this cold passes me (along with the dreaded black Friday coming up later tonight) I hope to be my usual active self.)
In his long-winded explanation, Kress hadn't really considered how much of an ass he sounded like, acting as if Saleth's sibling was any of his concern. Though he did want to be some sort of a hero to his home world, he didn't really have much to show him how a hero should act outside of his comic books. Comic book heroes would normally assume all responsibility and take it upon themselves to fix any wrong doing, something that didn't seem like the best method of thinking to have when it came to someone’s personal family matters. Saleth wouldn't give the awkward boy enough time to rework his words, She instead decided to spring out of the bed and onto her feet after voicing her discontent with the way Kress had just made Seiya seem like she was any of his business. He deserved that reaction, but he wasn't trying to offend her when he had initially made the comment, it was just his inexperience of actually talking to people kicking in once more.
Kress wasn't quite sure what to expect from the dragon when she turned to him. Though he was half expecting her just burn him to a crisp on the spot, he was pretty sure Saleth was more civil than to just off him on the spot. Instead, Kress simply get a mouthful from Saleth. Though she seemed angry at him, the words she aimed at him weren't what Kress would call harsh. Really, it just sounded as if she was just giving him advice, something that caught Kress a bit off guard. She may have been distant and kept to herself for the most part, but she was still leaps and bounds nicer to Kress than most of the people he met were to him, so he’d keep quiet as she spoke. She had never interrupted him whenever he blabbed on, even if he wanted to clarify what he meant when regarding Seiya, it could wait. “No one should have to change for others,” Kress could only give the dragon a half smile at that line. He agreed, no one should have to change for others, but Kress didn't live in a world were he was ever going to be liked or respected for the way he was.
”Of course I’d rather be liked for who I am instead of being liked for my accomplishments, but that’s not going to happen on my world. Not with the way things work there. I’m a half-breed of two races that aren't considered socially acceptable to be together in my world, so when it’s not my race causing people to look down on me, it’s my nerdy, weak self to blame.” Shaking his head and looking the dragon in the eyes for one of the first times, Kress continued. ”Sure, they may not actually like me for me, but that’s better than what I get from them normally. You know the way you've treated me since we've met, a way that’s considered pretty average when it comes to meeting new people? Yeah, this is what I consider nice. I may have made myself seem like an ass when I implied that your sibling was any of my business, but I truly do want to help you. Not only to prevent Seiya from hurting anyone who doesn't deserve it, but to lend you a hand as well.
Whether or not Kress was actually doing a decent job of correcting himself, he couldn't say, but he figured her next question would be “why would you want to lend me a hand?” or something along those lines, so he’d beat her to the punch. ”These idiotic towns people call you a monster and treat you like utter crap just for being a dragon, something that I can kind of relate to. Well, not being a dragon, but being treated poorly for- you know what I mean... Funny thing is, for a ‘monster,’ you've shown me more respect than any of the humans in this village have, which makes me want to help you. You can still deny my help, I won’t even try to argue persuade you if you've decided against it, I just wanted to clarify my reasons for wanting to help you.”
Why couldn't Kress ever compress his thought into condensed sentences? It was definitely one of his many flaws. If Saleth had managed to keep her eyes open through his yammering, Kress would be expecting her to want to leave on her own, which was perfectly fine to him, but there was the matter of that little bit of a fib Kress had told the townsfolk. Well, it wasn't exactly ‘little,’ but that was besides the point. If Saleth was seen leaving the village alone, that would easily raise problems for both the female dragon and Kress, as he had heavily implied they’d be leaving together. It wasn't too much of a problem, though, as they could simply leave together then go their separate ways if need be. But for now, the moment Kress was dreading was approaching. He really didn't want to mention the lie he had told the village to Saleth, it was pretty obvious it’d annoy her a bit considering her apparent dislike for humans. Scratching the back of his head Kress would begrudgingly open his mouth.
”There’s, uh, there’s one more thing. I may have told the townsfolk that you knew where other dragons were and that you were taking me to them, just so they’d allow us to get this room. Obviously, I don’t have any intentions of following up on that promise, nor do I expect you to actually lead me to them. Just know that if we want to ensure an easy departure from this world for the both of us, we should just play along as we leave... Turning a bright red as he admitted his lie, Kress would no longer have the confidence to look Saleth in the eye as he forced the words out of his mouth. This whole lie wasn't exactly the greatest fib he had ever come up with, but he didn't exactly have time to come up with a better one, especially considering the unconscious Saleth he had in his hands at the time.

When Kress spoke next, Saleth glowered at him all the more. Didn't he get it? If people couldn't accept him for who he was then they weren't worth his time. He shouldn't risk his life just because no one liked him. He shouldn't have to try to stand out and prove himself to a bunch of stuck up idiots from the way he made these people sound. His world sounded rather stuck up. If they ever went there, Saleth might decide to eat them all. Either that or flame broil them.
"You still shouldn't waste your time on a land of morons!" Saleth snapped back. "Move on, live somewhere else. Another world where others actually want you around. Stop trying to prove yourself to a place that's not welcome to you." Of course, such a thing was easier said than done. Then, Kress mentioned that he just wanted to help her. It wasn't just to stop her sister from harming others.
The reasons for why Kress wanted to help her, he had went on before she could question him further on it, was that she reminded him of what he was treated like. She was mistreated for being a dragon and he could understand that feeling. Plus, she showed him more respect than anyone else he had met for a supposed monster. He respected her in return for it.
Then, Kress confessed that he had told the villagers something. Saleth tilted her head with a quirked eyebrow. Then, everything was revealed. He had told them that Saleth would take him to these other dragons. That was the only reason why they had been given this room. According to him, it would be odd for them to leave separately. They should depart together so the villagers weren't suspicious. Saleth gave him a skeptical look.
"...What do you mean by I'd show you to the other dragons? What for?" Saleth asked him, crossing her arms. She didn't look the least bit amused. Once again, she was forced to journey with this youth.
"Fine, you can come. Just don't get into trouble."

(OOC: Isn't funny how when you think you'll have time to post again, the Holiday Season comes in and ruins your fun? Ugh. Back for realsies this time.)
Smiling nervously as Saleth questioned what he meant by his lie to the village, Kress would try his best to word a explanation that made sense. It made sense at the moment at hand to Kress, but in hindsight, it really wasn't the greatest idea. "I, uh... I thought that if the village people thought your life had value, they wouldn't kill us. Not that I don't think your life has value, I just meant that they probably wouldn't have without that stupid reason..." Scratching the back of his head while his face decided to stay at it's bright red state it had been in through this ordeal, Kress' voice would squeak out a follow-up comment. "I'm never good at coming up with things on the spot, sorry about that.." Kress may have been an awkward mess, but he was still pleasantly surprised with how the dragon had handled his lie. In fact, it seemed like she dealt with the lie to the village better than she dealt with Kress' reason for wanting to help her. That was a mixture of odd, interesting and a relief to Kress, so he wouldn't be complaining about Saleth's stern, but calm questioning of what he meant. It was nice to have someone who could be annoyed with him in a calm and collected way, something that wasn't a strong feature of his partner.
Kress would be just about ready for Saleth to agree to leave together and nothing more at most, but the dragon left the boy with a welcomed surprise. It'd take Kress a few seconds to register what Saleth had actually said, but as soon as he did he promptly gave her a double-take. Was she actually letting him tag-along? As much as he wanted to question her decision, he wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth. Whatever the hell that expression even meant, he was pretty sure it related to the situation at hand... Maybe. ”I promise, I’ll keep out of trouble. I’ll even get a muzzle for Wes if I have to. Though, I can’t really see that working out, unless we get one that can withstand his elements.” Laughing to himself a bit, Kress would be about ready to go, meaning he would have to wake up the nuisance that was his partner before he left. It always did bother the boy that he couldn't really have any serious conversation when his weasel was around, so even the confrontation he had with Saleth a few moments ago was rather enjoyable for him, even if he was half expecting her to destroy him.
Sighing as he approached Wes, he turn back to Saleth before he picked him up. ”About Wes, don’t worry, he’s all bark and no bite. In fact, he’s mostly intimidated by you, so his hostility is just a defense mechanism. Unfortunately, you just get used to his annoying ass.” Picking up Wes and gently plopping the critter on his shoulder, his ears would pick up on the annoyed grunts from his sleepy partner, but Kress still had a good few minutes before Wes would be awake enough to complain as he usually did which if would be enough time for them to leave the idiotic village behind them if Saleth was ready. Which seemed pretty likely, as she had been ready to leave this world without Kress just a few moments ago. Though, as much as he wanted to get off of this world, he wasn't exactly looking forward to informing Wes about his decision to not only continue to travel with Saleth, but to also help her take down her crazed sibling. Once that weasel wasn't half asleep, his large ears were going to have to deal with an plethora of insults coming from the weasel.
If Saleth was in fact ready to start their journey, Kress would be ready as soon as she was. After all, he only felt it was right to leave the pace of which they would travel up to her, as Saleth had taken quite a beating before being put in this room by Kress. Although she may had been standing up-right as they discussed their next plan of action, Kress wasn’t sure if that was due to her actually being ready or the initial disgust she had when she heard where they were and why Kress wanted to help. Though, he was pretty certain that Saleth wouldn't want to waste a second resting up before they departed. She seemed too stubborn in her human-hating ways to stick around this cheap inn room. But after what she had through, Kress wouldn't blame her. Stretching one arm behind his head, he let out a bit of a yawn before he spoke up. ”Welp, now that we've come to an understanding, I’m ready when you are. This place is kind of cesspool of stupid mindsets. Uh, when it comes to the townsfolk, at least. Minus one genocide-seeking dragon, the rest of your family seemed pretty sane, as far as I can tell.” Kress probably wouldn't even need his last bit of clarification on the remark, but he figured better safe than sorry. He had already pissed Saleth off once earlier, he didn't need to risk that again.
If Saleth was ready, he’d lead them to his ship, which had a pretty sloppy parking job in the town, but was still intact. If she wanted to heal up a bit more, he’d be fine with that as well, as he hadn't quite finished reading all the books on the shelf in their room. Not that there was anything he could learn from them, but for a nerd like Kress, they were still interesting enough.

Saleth gave Kress a flat look as he explained that he had to make the village people think that her life had some sort of value. That way, when she was unconscious, Kress could easily provide some sort of temporary shelter until she regained consciousness. Well, she can't blame him for struggling to find some sort of explanation. If he had said the truth, the village would have likely killed him along with her or something. These people couldn't be reasoned with. They didn't like dragons. This village didn't, anyway. Which was sad considering dragons used to be revered out in these parts. Whatever happened to that, Saleth wasn't sure but whatever had happened, it was the reason why her cousin was dead today...and likely the reason why her family was dead as well.
Kress had apologized for what had happened and she just shook her head. "Forget about it...these people aren't easy to reason with anyway. I'm surprised, actually, that they were convinced enough to let you have lodgings like this one."
Eventually, Saleth relented to let Kress come along. It might be better anyway if she didn't go by herself. Oddly enough, she seemed to tolerate him better than most she came across. He hadn't given her over to the villagers so that said something. Maybe some humans weren't so bad? Still, she was wary. Just because she was letting Kress come along didn't mean she completely trusted him. She was still suspicious of his motives. He was harmless from what she could tell but would it all change if they went to his world one day? Granted, Saleth would not test that nor wish to go to such a pathetic self centered world but it did make her wonder considering the answers that he had given her. Kress just needed to learn that being himself was better than trying to prove to others to satisfy their likes. It should only matter to Kress what he liked, he should never have to prove himself to others just to be accepted. Hopefully, he'd learn that. If she ever did end up on his world, boy did she have some choice words for such narrow minded people.
Saleth shook her head for a moment, ridding herself of such thoughts lest she cause herself to get angry. Kress said that he promised to stay out of trouble and joked about getting Wes a muzzle. No way would such a thing work out. The weasel would likely get it off by some means. As Kress had put it, he was talking about Wes's elements. Yes, finding some sort of material to withstand that wouldn't be an easy endeavor.
Of course, Saleth turned to the door, ready to leave. She wasn't fully recovered but Saleth couldn't spend another minute here. She felt like she was in enemy territory and in immediate danger. Once she was away, she would rest. Until then, she needed to get out of here while her strength lasted her. As she stood there, Kress spoke to her making her look over at him. According to him, Wes was just all bark and no bite. The reason why the weasel was so hostile with her was because he was intimidated by her mostly. It was his natural defense mechanism. Saleth gave a shrug then. If the weasel did actually try to hurt her first, she had no qualms with eating him in her dragon form. So long as he remained bark, Saleth wouldn't bare a tooth at him.
"Whatever."
Finally, Kress went over and picked up Wes. When he came over, she heard him say that he was ready when she was. Saleth gave a mere nod. According to him, this place was like a cesspool of stupidity. She knew what he meant but he didn't have to follow up about her family. Saleth went silent then. It was still a tender area for the dragon girl. Wordlessly, she stepped out with her arms crossed saying nothing on the matter. She wasn't angry with him but she didn't want to be reminded about the situation with her family.
"Let's go." With that, she would follow Kress to his ship.

Though Saleth had agreed to leave with him, Kress could still barely get any kind of emotion from the dragon. Well, aside from anger she had earlier, but that wasn't really directed at him. It wasn't a problem to him, just something kind of odd he noticed about her. Come to think of it, he couldn't even recall a time when Saleth seemed kind of happy, even when she had survived a beating from her sibling. Kress was all kinds of happy when they made it out of that confrontation alive, but perhaps that was just how she was. If anything, the fact that she could keep her emotions so consistent only proved she was just as strong on the inside as she was in her dragon side. Well, in front of others, at least. She had been a little emotional during her confrontation with Seiya, but she didn't even acknowledge that Kress was there for that little outburst, Kress wouldn't count that as her actually showing emotion in front of him, he was kind of forced to be there for that. Despite being a bit socially challenged, he could pickup on the fact that his clarification on the people of the areas being stupid and not the dragons was a bit too soon. He obviously didn't mean to open old wounds, but apologizing for bringing it up wouldn't make it any better, so he knew better than to bring it up.
"Right, we can discuss where we're headed next when we get to my ship." Opening the door to their room, Kress would hold the door for a brief second to allow Saleth to grab it for herself before quickly shuffling down the old wooden stairs of the inn. He normally wouldn't move so quickly, but with the way the locals seemed to treat him when accompanied by Saleth, he wasn't sure how long his false agreement with this village would protect them. Not that the three of them couldn't take the village, Kress just didn't want to cause unnecessary conflict, especially with Saleth not being one-hundred percent. There was also the conflict of the village being, for lack of a better word, innocent, so Kress wouldn't want it to come down to that anyhow. Giving the women at the front desk a polite wave and nod, he'd take his leave of the small inn, feeling a rush of cold, brisk air rush his face. Being in the inn for a while, Kress had forgotten they had journeyed there to get out of the cold, so the sudden burst of cold air was enough to turn his face a bit pink. "My goodness, how these freaks live in a climate like this is far beyond me. I swear to the gods, Kress, I could cut glass with my-"
"Wes! We talked about keeping certain things to yourself, remember? I'm pretty sure that falls under the category of things to keep to yourself." Pouting a bit, Wes crossed his arms on the boy's shoulder, mumbling to himself a bit before shutting his trap. As soon as Kress looked away from his partner, he'd notice that the town looked almost as if they had been frozen in time, as everyone seemed to stop what they were doing in order to eyeball the three of them. Looking around all the different faces surrounding them, Wes let out a small chuckle. "I definitely wouldn't give them points for subtlety. Poor people have never seen big ears before." "A new and exciting insult. Clearly you're a riot, Wes" Blowing out some air out of his nose, Kress shoved his hands into his pockets before continuing towards his ship. As he lead the way, he could hear distant chatter and whispers, but nothing of actual concern from the townsfolk. Even if they were saying hostile things to one another about the three of them, Kress would much rather have some bad gossip rather than raised pitch forks. Which, in his humble opinion, were things that should never be used as weapons. It was just a giant fork, it just looked silly to him. Unfortunately, he couldn't subject of pitch forks in his thoughts for too long, as the ship would come into view in a matter of seconds. Looking at it for a second, Kress would scratch the back of his head while looking at his lack-luster parking job. Granted, he had parked it when Saleth was in a bit of trouble, that still wasn't much of an excuse for now side-ways Gummi ship that was leaned up against some poor individuals house.
"Oh yeah, I completely forgot we parked like that..."
"Ditto." Kress squeaked out. Though it was a sloppy job, at least it was intact. That much seemed to go his way. Walking towards the Gummi ship, Kress turned back towards Saleth. "Just uh, stay put for a sec. I'm gonna jerryrig the ship out of the odd position then you can hop right in." After he climbed into his ship, it wouldn't take too long for him to get it out of it's odd position, so Saleth would only be alone for a few moments before the ship was upright and ready to go. Once it was, Kress would step out and motion for the dragon to head on in so they could begin their journey. He still wasn't sure where exactly they would start, but being that Seiya was her sister, Kress liked to think Saleth might have some idea.

Saleth was good at hiding her emotions. She had to learn to hunker them down and not reveal anything. Otherwise, it made her an easier target in the prison she had been contained in. She was glad to be free. She never thought that she would see the light again. Now that she could walk free, Saleth ended up as a different person. There were more layers to her personality than she let off. The other part of her was hidden, safely, within. Saleth refused to let anyone in. She couldn't trust anyone and on top of it, she came to hate humans.
Kress eventually stated that they could discuss where they were headed next once they got to his ship. With that, Kress lead the way out, holding the door open long enough for her to take it. A wise thing since Saleth didn't like it when others held the door open for her and didn't let her take hold of the door and preferred that she exited the room first. She might be female but she wasn't a human female. Saleth found such acts insulting since it meant that she was weak. Saleth wasn't weak.
Saleth could see that Kress was moving fast. It wasn't easy for her to even keep up with him but she stubbornly refused to show any weakness. She was, after all, putting on an act. She wanted it to seem like she was fine if only to just get out of here. Saleth didn't trust humans and she certainly wouldn't put it past the village to want to kill her if she showed signs of weakness. As they walked, Saleth just focused her attention on Kress's back to keep herself from straying from the trek to the ship. It was painful but she refused to let it show.
Wess began to bicker with Kress, as was their usual. Saleth just kept quiet, following after them, determined to not let too much distance get between them lest it become obvious she was too hurt to walk fast. As soon as they got outside, Saleth could feel the gazes of the people outside. Saleth purposely ignored them as she followed Kress.
When they found the ship, Saleth looked at the way it was parked and inwardly groaned. She couldn't stay standing for much longer like this! As Kress told her to stay put, Saleth reluctantly nodded. As he did so, she did her best to hold on just a little longer. It didn't take all that long for Kress to upright the ship but it felt forever for Saleth. She struggled, determined to remain immoveable until finally, Kress motioned for her to head in. Breathing almost hard at this point, Saleth pushed herself to head on in. When she got in, her face might have seemed a bit pale but she pushed on.
Where should they start? "We need to...to try somewhere...with a lot of people...maybe somewhere like...Radiant Garden!" Saleth said before just sitting where she was. She didn't have strength in her to actually get to the seat. "Damn it," she mumbled.

Watching as the dragon walked in his ship and sat down on the floor, Kress would listen to her suggestion with a bit of a confused look. Was this a common thing for dragons? He highly doubted it, as Saleth seemed to have some sort of displeasure with where she was on the floor. That really couldn't be good for someone who had just suffered a beating, but he was a bit unsure if she'd take his help the wrong way if he tried to move her. Regardless, Saleth had a pretty solid idea of how to track her sister, so that was their plan for the time being. It was a bit of an added bonus that Kress hadn't been to Radiant Garden yet, so this was just another learning experience for him. Though, he wouldn't waste time looking at scenery or trying to see what books they had to offer when they got there, they had a task to handle. He'd have to handle something first, though.
"Yeah, I could see why she would head there. Nice thinking, Saleth, you're like three steps ahead of me." Smirking a bit as he shook his head, Kress let out a small chuckle. Well, figuratively, anyway." Standing up out of his chair, he hold his hand out to Saleth. "Need any help getting the chair? I'm surprised you were able to walk this far with all of those injuries, but I didn't really want to offer help until you seemed like you needed it. You're a bit too tough for me to assume you need help without an obvious sign, unfortunately." If Saleth would want the help, Kress would use his minuscule strength to help the dragon get into the other seat, but if not, he'd simply leave her there. He wasn't going to force her to trust him, he had only carried her earlier because she was unconscious and really left him no other choice. Once Saleth's position was established, Kress would plop down into the pilot seat and start fiddling with the controls.
"My Gummiship isn't the fastest, so we won't be there right away, but it shouldn't be too long. I'll let you two know when we're there, so you know, make yourselves at home."

Saleth just sat where she was. She didn't have it in her to move anytime soon. Kress chose to just make a remark about where they were going. If anything, it was just a guess. Saleth wasn't sure if Seiya was ready yet to attack a widely populated human realm. Well, mostly human. Still, with Seiya's thought process, Saleth doubted that Seiya would separate those that weren't human from the human. She would likely slaughter anyone and anything that got in her way.
Kress then approached her, holding out a hand to her asking her if she needed help getting into the chair. He admitted that he was surprised that she managed to get this far. He hadn't offered to help earlier because she didn't seem like she needed it then. That and she was a bit too tough for him to assume that she needed help when she gave no obvious sign.
Saleth let out a low growl. "I can do it myself."
Even now, she was stubborn. Once she was able to, she mustered enough strength after that brief rest, to get up again and plop herself into the seat. It was a close call though since she almost missed the chair altogether. Honestly, it would have been better if she had just let Kress help her but Saleth still wasn't entirely trusting of anyone. She still had her guard up.
Now that she was in a seat, she heard Kress mention that his ship wasn't the fastest. He'd let them know once they got there. "Alright, that's fine." Honestly, she was in no rush. She needed to heal first before she faced her sister again. That, and she needed to muster the courage to confront her again.
