Of course, Amaya had meant well when she said what she did. She was just teasing him, really. If he chose to act like that a lot, then she'd put up with it. It wasn't like it was harming her. She was just making it known that he didn't have to always speak to her like that. Apparently, he was still getting used to something positive happening in his life. Now that she thought about it, no wonder he was so excited.
"No need to apologize."
Now, it was time to get down to business. She went right into questioning Peter about the happenings in this place. Looking over at her, Peter squinted an eye as he rubbed his chin with a hand in thought. After a short moment, he looked down at them and nodded.
"There's been some nasty winds as of late. Tornadoes and hurricanes don't normally happen around here. Yet, we've had a lot of people from Neverland disappearing and some even found dead like they've been sliced up by somethin'. Haven't figured out what it is yet, though."
Amaya looked over at Arin. There wasn't a doubt in her mind that this sounded like Reiko's doing. Reiko had the gift of illusion and wind.

Arin looked over at Amaya just as quickly as she looked at him. Unpredictable windstorms that never used to happen, people disappearing and reappearing sliced up, this had to be the work of a dragoon warrior. Arin looked over at Peter, his expression serious now as he explained what was happening.
"I think we might know what's going on, Peter. There's someone terrorizing your home, someone who can control the wind...And someone we're searching for..."

Amaya could see Arin's face turn serious before looking back over at Peter after they had exchanged glances. She watched as Arin told Peter that he believed that they knew what was going on. As Arin broke the news, Peter looked at them with a raised brow, looking surprised by this news.
"Huh, well, whaddya know? Who are ya searchin' for? I guess I can see why you would be."
"Her name is Reiko. She is a Dragoon Warrior. She was once a friend of mine...but something made her turn evil and I have to stop her." Peter looked at her before exchanging glances with his pixie friend.
"Well, if you want, I can have you stay with us until you've some leads on where to find this former friend of your's."

Arin let Amaya talk business with Peter, letting her describe Reiko and why they were searching for her. Then Peter did something incredibly generous by offering to let them stay with him and Tinkerbell until they could get a lead on Reiko's location. Arin gave Amaya a glance before making their decision on a whim.
"Well, I don't see why not. You've been helping us out since we came here, what do you think, Amaya?"

Amaya was surprised that Peter and Tinkerbell would offer them a place to stay while they figured things out. She glanced back at Arin before he answered Peter. When Arin had asked her what she thought, Amaya merely shrugged. It sounded like a good idea. It could take them a while before Reiko was even found here in this world. So, why not?
"Sure, I don't have a problem with it. Thanks, you two. It helps us greatly."
With a smile, Peter gestured for them to follow him. "C'Mon then!" With that, he lead them through the forested area. They went through several paths before finally, they came to what looked to be a hollowed out, dead tree with a small pond in front of it.
"It might not look like much right now but wait til you see it from the inside!" Peter said as he checked to make sure they weren't being followed before approaching the large tree. Amaya furrowed a brow as she watched what Peter was doing. He did something to the tree and somehow, a passage opened up, like a burrow. Peter dived down into it after beckoning to them to follow. Glancing over at Arin, Amaya went over uncertainly. It looked like there was a slide inside. How strange.
Shrugging, Amaya jumped in too and found, much to her surprise, a little hide out.

Arin followed Peter beside Amaya, watching the boy act suspiciously near an old tree. He pressed on a knot in the tree trunk and a doorway opened up with what looked like a slide going underground. Curious, Arin watched Peter gesture for him and Amaya to follow, and Amaya was the first to act. Not wanting to be left behind, Arin followed close behind his new girlfriend.
Girlfriend, that word seemed so new to him now, after being something so alien to him before. It lifted his spirits just thinking about it, which inadvertently caused him to start flying in mid slide, bumping his head on the roof of the slide tunnel
"Ow!"
Rubbing his head, Arin tried to clear his mind and let himself float back onto the slide, which he coasted down at a slow pace, now that he was starting again with little momentum. He found his way to the bottom of the slide about a minute after Amaya reached the bottom.
But when he did reach the bottom, he took a look around at the sights, trying to get a feel for the new hideout. It looked fairly large, big enough to house a group of people, evident by the bunk beds fit for younger kids "Pretty sweet hidden camp you've got here Peter, but isn't it a bit big for just one average sized teenager and a fairy?"

Amaya gave a start when she heard something hit something somewhere above. Whirling on the spot, she found that it had only been Arin. He had hit his head on the ceiling of the slide tunnel.
"...You okay?" Amaya had asked him. Arin was rubbing his head. He was looking around, seeing what they had come upon. What Arin said next made Amaya look around more. No, somehow, she knew this wasn't set up for one person to live in. There had to be more.
"We're not the only ones that live here. The Lost Boys live with us too. Right now, they're on patrol." Peter had crossed his arms as he hovered Indian style in the air, sitting up straight and nodding at what he said.
"Wow, you boys have a nice set up here. No wonder the pirates have a hard time with you."
"Anyway, we've a few spare beds you guys can use. Make yourselves at home." Peter then looked over at Tinkerbell and seemed to engage in conversation with her. As they were doing so, voices could be heard and some cheering before the sound of someone sliding down the slide. Peter and Tinkerbell ceased their conversation, well more so one sided on Peter's part, and looked toward the sound. The pair of them looked unperturbed. They likely knew who it was coming down the slide.
Sure enough, kids wearing animal costumes appeared. One was a fox, two were raccoons, one was a skunk and one was a bear.
"Hey, guys!"
"Hey, who are these guys?" the fox costumed kid asked.
"They're some friends I made and brought here to Neverland."
"Ew, one's a girl!"
"...Oookay?"
"Now now, Jane was one of us and so was Wendy. This is Amaya, she's a friend and so is Arin. Treat them like they're one of us."
"Allllright," the Lost Boys said in unison.

Arin raised an eyebrow when the lost boys came down the slide and one called Amaya out on being a girl, finding the reaction more childish than necessary. Still, they WERE kids, so it made a bit of sense. Shrugging it off, Arin looked at the lost boys' getups, wondering if their clothes were really animal pelts with how they were wearing the skin on the heads as well.
"Interesting choice of clothes guys, easier to fit into the wild with, I'm guessing?"

When Arin spoke, Amaya had wondered the same. Were those really animal pelts? Well, it would explain a lot. Peter did call them the Lost Boys after all. In such a setting, she could understand why they would be wearing furs and the like. It was easier to blend in this way for them. It would make it harder for their foes to see them out in the woods.
"You betcha!" It had been the fox furred kid that responded to Arin's question.
"Anyways, guys. These two are looking for someone." Peter looked to them as he said this. The Lost Boys turned to them with questioning looks upon their faces.
"Yes, we are. We are looking for someone that...wears a sort of skin like you do. It looks like a lizard or...or an alligator of sorts." Amaya looked at each of them as she said this. All she got were confused faces. They hadn't, from the look of things, seen anyone fitting that description. Reiko had gone out to wreak havoc just yet. If anything, she was just blowing things away with her wind powers no doubt. Unless, of course, she went under the guise of someone else. Reiko could easily do something like that too because of her illusions.
"Has anyone you know been acting strange lately? Acting like someone else?" she questioned them. The boys looked thoughtful.
"You know, that Tiger Lilly is acting odd."
"Oh? Who is this Tiger Lilly?" Amaya questioned them. The boys then explained that it was the Indian Chief's daughter that ran the tribe on one side of the island they lived in. Amaya hoped that Reiko hadn't killed her and used her guise to cause trouble.
"Yeah, she's been ordering the Indians to attack anyone that goes near the village. We can't even go in there anymore!"
Amaya looked over at Arin then. "I think there's a clue, if any."

Arin overheard the discussion Amaya had with the lost boys, crossing his arms when they said they didn't see anyone fitting Amaya's description of Reiko. Then, Amaya brought up the thought of her possibly being in disguise, which caused him to glance her way and raise a brow *I'll have to ask her about Reiko's powers, because I don't recall her telling me about a doppelgänger ability.* Things got even more interesting when The lost boy in the fox suit confirmed Amaya's suspicions.
When she turned to him, guessing the indian chief's daughter acting weird was a clue, he shrugged his shoulders "Possibly, we can't rule it out at least." He looked at Peter, to see his opinion on the subject "When's the soonest you can take us there? Whether it's her or not, we should check it out for ourselves. We may even be able to figure out why the chief's daughter is acting strange, if it isn't who we're looking for."

Amaya watched as Arin had shrugged his shoulders at what she said. At least he was in agreement with her. That they should look more into this situation since anything was good right about now. Even if Peter and his friends didn't help them, Amaya would go out and find out for herself if the need be. Reiko was formerly Amaya's best friend. Where she didn't want to have to do what she knew she had to do, Amaya didn't want her friend to suffer either. It would be much tougher than the previous two battles. It would be even harder once this battle, if they survived it, was over since the final battle would be with Asami. Asami was Amaya's own flesh and blood. Fighting her sister wouldn't be any easier than fighting her friends. In fact, it would be ten times harder. Amaya just hoped that she could keep going when all was said and done.
Arin, at the very least, was there for her. It was strange how originally, Amaya had been eager to push him away and yet they soon became friends and then more than that. She feared for Arin as well. If something were to happen to him, she would never forgive herself. Where the fact of not being alone made things seem less difficult, the idea of losing someone else didn't sit well with her. When it came to the final battle, Amaya might face Asami alone. Of course, she had no intention of telling Arin this. He had helped her plenty enough but Asami was her sister and Amaya knew that battle with her would be the toughest. There was a very high chance that one of them would die in that battle. Instead of watching Arin die, she would take on Asami alone and hopefully, put an end to things once and for all even if she died in the process.
"Well, it's gettin' dark right now. We can set out tomorrow and have a look around. If that's alright?" Peter replied.
"That would be fine. Thank you all for your help." Amaya then waited as Peter gestured for them to follow him.
"Then c'mon! We've some extra beds over here for guests!" With that, Peter flew over with Tinkerbell right behind him. The pair lead them into another part of the hide out. In there, there were two separate single beds. "It's not much but they serve their purpose. We're headin' for bed ourselves too. I gotta tell the others a story before we go to sleep." With that, Peter flew out of the room with his pixie friend leaving Arin and Amaya alone.
Amaya walked over to a bed and sat herself upon it. "This one's mine~!" she stated.

Arin nodded when Peter suggested they turn in for the night, agreeing with it a better idea to get some rest and get through the ordeal as quickly as possible. Seeing Amaya lost in though, he reached over and took her hand in his, which was met with several gags and childish responses that only made him grin *If only I could tell them that they would understand when they get older.*
When Peter and the others left, and Amaya plopped herself on the one bed, claiming it as hers, he couldn't help but grin "It's too bad, and here I was hoping they had a bed for two~" He gave her a wink before walking over to the other bed, and removing the extra layers of clothing on his person, down to only having on his left glove with the metal coiled on his forearm, his pants and boots, and anything that was underneath. When Amaya looked at his back, she would instantly be able to see some healed slash marks on his body that, in a different light, would have been harder to see. A long, claw-like scar on his back that looked to have come from a larger beast, much larger than himself. There was even only enough room for most of one scar, and the end of another on his lower back, but both resembled the swipe of a giant claw with how they were positioned.
"Guess I'll take this one then."

Amaya didn't realize that she had been so caught up in thought. It wasn't until Arin reached out and grabbed her hand that she realized what she had been doing. As he had done so, there was a chorus of gags and other childish responses. Judging by the grin on Arin's face, he was amused by this. Amaya couldn't help but feel a little amused as well. If only they knew.
When they were brought into the other room, Amaya immediately picked out her own bed. What Arin said in response made her quirk an eyebrow as she turned her gaze toward him. "Oh? I thought we were taking things slow?" Amaya retorted. She knew they were. It was just a joke on Arin's part.
Amaya watched as he removed his top to reveal his bare torso, removing most of his armor and extra layers of clothing. As he turned his back to her, she could see a series of scars all over his back. Some were quite large, making her widen her eyes in surprise. Amaya couldn't help but gasp in her shock. As Arin stated he'd take the other bed, she got to her feet.
"Arin...you're back!" she exclaimed. She hadn't seen those scars on him before. Then again, this had to be the third time she saw his bare torso. She had seen his back in Atlantica but she hadn't seen scarring then. Was the darkness he had getting to him? Had something happened during the time they spent together? She couldn't be sure but it was alarming.

"Hey, we shared a bed once and nothing went wrong, I don't see why doing it again would cause any harm. Besides, I still have my pants on, don't I?" Arin looked bak at Amaya smugly, as he removed his armor and clothes one by one. He didn't expect Amaya to gasp, turning to look back at her again in surprise. She was shocked by the number of scared on his back.
This drew a dark expression as she pointed out his scars, memories of the past resurfacing momentarily and bringing his lightened mood back down a bit "You saw those, huh?" Turning to sit along the side of the bed, he looked into Amaya's eyes and smiled softly
"Don't worry about them, they're just old battle wounds that resurface now and then in certain types of light. Normally they're not noticeable, since it's mostly elemental, but when the light around me dims to just the right level of intensity...Well, you've already seen the results."

Amaya rose both of her brows in response to what Arin had said next. That smug look on his face! "Well, aren't you a little deviant?" she replied. She couldn't help but chuckle a bit in response.
When she brought up the topic about his scars, Arin had sat down along the side of the bed. He locked eyes with her and smiled softly. Amaya looked back at him with confusion but most of all, concern. He told her to not worry about them and that they were old battle wounds. According to him, the wounds only surfaced now and then in certain types of light. The scars were elemental ones. Just what the heck had attacked him? Was that from a large Heartless or something else? It might be best to not ask. Judging by the look in Arin's eyes, it seemed like she was opening up bad memories for him.
"I'm...sorry. I didn't know you had those...Are you sure you're fine?" She couldn't help but feel concerned since they just showed up. Maybe he was telling her the truth? Or was he putting on a brave face to make her not worry? It wasn't easy to tell.

Arin smiled and nodded when Amaya asked if he was fine. He could tell she was concerned about him, completely understandable given the circumstances. "Yeah, I'll be fine, Amaya...Maybe once we've finished this mission of ours, I'll tell you the full story about the scars on my back, it's quite the hair raiser." He looked over at her and smirked devilishly as he laid back in his bed "You sure you don't want a warm body to snuggle up to?~ i didn't see much along the lines of a heating system when i was looking around down here."

Amaya listened as Arin assured her that he would be fine. Once their mission was over, he might tell her about the story behind his scars on his back. Amaya slowly nodded, figuring it would be best to not argue and let it pass for now. Still, she was concerned for him.
It didn't take long before Arin switched things to a more light hearted mood. Well, deviant but light hearted. Amaya quirked an eyebrow at him skeptically. Never the less, she was amused.
"Persistent, aren't you?" Amaya questioned him. "Alright, then...but if you do anything funny, I'm kicking you out of the bed!" Amaya said finally with a bit of a laugh as she pat the open space next to her on her bed.

He grinned as she pointed out the obvious about his persistent nature "I have to be persistent with a stubborn girl like you~ Otherwise I'm just going around in circles." Chuckling as Amaya half joked, half stated she would kick him out of the bed if he tried anything "Don't worry, I'm persistent, not easy."
Getting up from his bed, he carried his things over to Amaya's bed and set them beside hers before climbing into the bed. He let Amaya get comfortable before doing so himself, wanting her to be comfortable since she was letting him stay in the bed with her.

Amaya rose a brow as Arin pointed out, in turn, that he had to be persistent with a stubborn girl like her. Otherwise, he'd just be going around in circles. At this, Amaya crossed her arms. "Hey, now!" she exclaimed.
When she had made that half serious and half humorous joke about kicking him out of the bed if he tried anything, Arin retorted stating that he was persistent but not easy.
"Hey! What's that suppose to mean?" Arin just chuckled before getting up from the bed he would have used if she hadn't agreed to what they were doing. As he got onto the bed, Amaya settled herself in. She cuddled up next to him.
"We're going to need all the rest we can get."

Arin wrapped his arm around Amaya's shoulders as she cuddled up next to him, breathing deep and getting comfortable. He glanced at Amaya as she said they were going to need all the rest they could get, nodding in agreement
"You said it. A lot has happened in the past few days, some rest would do us both some good."
He leaned in and gave Amaya a soft kiss on the lips, nothing racy, just an affectionate peck "Sleep well, Amaya." Letting his head rest on the pillow, he closed his eyes and tried to get some sleep.
