Damien had been watching everyone's progress since they came here. It was odd, being the leader of a group meant to take care of the conflicts going on in the worlds and what evil forces that might appear. He used to be a leader to a group before but he wasn't the head honcho. He never wanted to be, anyway. At that time, he just wanted to please who he had believed to be his father. Ivan, the man that had taken him in and raised him, had only been using him. He never had been Damien's father. In fact, he had taken Damien from his family when Damien was too young to remember and brainwashed him. The evil deeds that Damien had done had been because of that. Even now, the memories still bothered him. He had believed he was a hero back then but in reality, he had been a monster.
Damien wasn't worried about the others finding out. That's not what kept him up at night. No, what kept him up at night was the memories of the torment he endured years before this Organization had been created. Ivan had put him through a lot. The scars were quite evident on Damien's chest, stomach, shoulders and all over his back. Although his chest was bare, sitting here in the artificially made hot springs, it wasn't easily noticeable. Yes, there were clearly scars but the steam and level of the water made it difficult to see. It was a mixed gender hot springs, one where people were required to wear swimsuits. Damien wore swimming trunks but they weren't easy to see underwater and in all the steam that filled the air.
Currently, Damien was leaning his back on a large boulder in the center. He hoped that if anyone else showed up, they wouldn't be able to find him here. Honestly, he had come here to relax and to get away from all the work he had to still do. He planned on getting back to it all later. Besides, Soah and Claire could handle the recruits on their own just fine. He trusted his Co-Founders enough to not destroy the place in his absence. Well, he wasn't exactly absent from the HQ but he was technically hiding away from them all to relax.
Unfortunately, it didn't last very long. Damien opened his eyes at the sound of the somewhat distant doors to the place opened up and closed, announcing the arrival of someone else in here. As he looked over, an eyebrow raised, he spotted one of the soldiers that also resided here aside from the members of the Organization. He wasn't dressed like the members, adorned in plain armor with no markings on them. He was looking directly at Damien. Noticing Damien was looking right at him, the soldier saluted him.
"Sir! We have a message from King Wilder. He has requested our aid. He says it's urgent!"
Damien furrowed his brows and sat up. "Aiden? What does he want?" he asked the soldier. The soldier just shrugged.
"I'm not sure, sir. He has requested we go to the Land of Dragons immediately. We have one of his officials on the communications monitor."
Damien found this odd. Normally, Aiden would personally contact him and not send officials to seek him out. Wondering what this was, Damien stood up. He was adorned in just a plain pair of swim trunks with a navy blue strip running down each side of it. Instead of choosing to open a portal, Damien chose to wade through the hot water toward the artificial shore. It looked like a genuine hot springs until someone reached the shore. There, the shore had a railing for people to hang onto as they descended or ascended a set of small stairs into or out of the water. Damien's towel was hanging there.
As Damien climbed the steps, the soldier waiting for him to exit the hot springs, it became more apparent that Damien was at his peek physical condition despite the old wounds he had written all over his upper body. His arms and legs, too, seemed to have scarring but they were minor and barely noticeable. The more prominent ones weren't actual cuts into the skin but jagged, like lightning. As if someone had electrocuted Damien several times as a sort of torture. The soldier couldn't help but stare at the scarring in astonishment. Damien ignored it as he simply grabbed hold of his towel, used it to wipe off the water and sweat from his face and wrapped it around his waist. Since his trunks weren't very long, only reaching to his knees, they did not run longer than the towel so now he had the impression that he was just running around in a towel only.
"Alright, thank you for the notice. Alert every one of the recruits as well as Claire and Soah, tell them to get ready. Tell them all to meet in the Communications Room." With his orders given, Damien watched as the soldier headed out then tore open a portal. Since someone was on the monitor, he didn't have the time to change into his usual attire so he had no choice but to head there in his current state looking like he was just wandering around in a towel. Man, this was not what he wanted. Oh well, can't be helped now as he stepped through the portal and into the Communications Room. There, the main monitor was open. Well, not in the fashion one would expect. It was called a "monitor" but what it really was that generated the image was a magical jewel of sorts with a transparent surface. Whenever someone contacted them, the image burst upward and took shape like a monitor of a screen almost except the edges were wispy like smoke. It was a face Damien didn't recognize.
Taking sight of Damien, the official cleared their throat. "Sorry to disturb you at such a time but the King says it is...urgent. We have a bit of a problem with some vampires. We are not quite sure where they have come from but we need the aid of you and your...Organization." The official took that moment to look at Damien and whoever else may have arrived on the scene before furrowing his brows and lightly shaking his head as if he was uncertain or didn't approve of the sight that met his eyes.
"More details will be given upon your arrival, Sir Damien Stark...and company," the official finished before the image was lost. Now, it was just them and Damien.

Plans for today: one, do not wear armor. Two, take extra time to prepare an excellent breakfast of food leaning toward the taste side rather than the workout-efficient side. Three, find a good book to read. Four, organize some of her more casual clothes for future occasions because jeez, she did not take much care of putting stuff away the first time. It was a rather insignificant matter, but one she definitely wanted to get done.
While today felt like more of a 'take a load off and relax' kind of day, that would not be the case as Evia was suddenly alerted of her immediate attention needed at the communications room while on a commute to the stronghold's library. Looks like something came up that can't wait. She would be slightly disappointed, but duties always came first. Fortunately, her room was on the way back so she slipped in and grabbed her right gauntlet and quickly strapped it on, as she didn't want to be completely unarmed despite being entirely capable without any weapons. Just in case.
Despite the slight detour, it seemed that when she arrived, she was the first one there. She wasn't quite sure what to do since this is the first time a situation like this has arrived, so once she was in the company of their leader Damien, she simply... walked into the vicinity of him and stood at attention, awaiting further instruction. There was no point in asking what the emergency was, since he would explain once everyone had arrived.

David was in his room meditating and honing the balance of his Elements when the soldier reached him. Thanks to the stunning display of Light and Darkness in the room, David was nearly fully dressed by the time the man finished his summons. Today's outfit consisted of a forest green shirt, black jeans and boots, and his usual maroon hooded jacket. David thanked the man as he turned to leave, then double checked everything while putting on his belt and silver necklace, both featuring onyx and silver Yin/Yang symbols. He had taken some creative liberties with gathering his things, mainly by having his sister pack everything from his room on Radiant Garden and dropping it through a portal into his new room. Technically he hadn't left and she hadn't arrived, so everything seemed fine.
He could have easily created a Corridor of Darkness to the Communications Room to save time, but he disliked being that lazy. The fact that he hadn't revealed the nature of his abilities, or his Keyblade, to the others yet was also a factor. Still, he made good time and arrived a few minutes after Evia, nodding in greeting as he entered. He took in General Damien's state of dress and slightly damp hair, assumed that he had either been bathing or in the hot springs, and took no further notice. He chose to lean against a nearby wall rather than stand at attention until everyone arrived, since the entire situation seemed somewhat casual.

(OOC: Progressing the story since no one has replied since the previous responder. Those that haven't joined yet may still jump in at anytime.)
Damien didn't care how he looked right now as he stood before the monitor. The official had already finished what he had been saying before the transmission was lost. Now, it was Damien and who was in the room and who filed in. Slowly, after thinking for a moment, Damien turned. As he faced whomever entered the room, he waited patiently for everyone to arrive before speaking at large to the group. It might have looked odd with him and his bare upper torso exposed, looking as if he had been disturbed in the shower. It was apparent there was a lot of scarring on his chest as well and especially lightning scarring making it more apparent what things he had gone through before becoming leader of this Organization.
It seemed like no one had made it in time to hear the monitor or what the official had said so it would be up to Damien to relay the information. Mildly aware that he was technically half naked, Damien looked around the room as everyone filed in. Stragglers could hear from the others what is going on.
"Seeing as we have all trained for some time now, I think we should all be able to go to the Land of Dragons. The king is having issues with vampires on his world and needs us to take care of the situation. They might have woken up since the worlds were awakened."
Damien looked around, taking pause so everyone could absorb what was said. "We are to head there immediately. Further details will be given at the palace there. I suspect we may find ourselves dealing with a kidnapping. Do any of you have any questions?" Oh boy, probably not something for Damien to ask considering he was adorned in such a fashion. He was being serious though and didn't take into account that others may question him right now about how he looked right now. Hopefully, no one questioned that.

Normally, Claire wasn't the type to be tardy for anything - she was usually either early or on time. However, she had other pressing matters to attend to first before she came. She wasn't even on the world when the message came in - she only got it on her personal communicator. She came as soon as she was done, but the meeting already started. Well, it must have showed a bad image to the others for the commanders to be late. Speaking of the commanders, Soah wasn't here either. She sighed a bit. She wasn't sure whether to be surprised or not. On one hand, he seemed (or wanted) to be more reliable than he looked. On the other hand... this wasn't helping his cause.
She came in quietly and leaned up against a wall as she listened, arms crossed. It was clear from Damien's current state of undress that this assignment had come to him at a rather unfortunate time for him. She couldn't care less - seen one man, you've more or less seen them all. However, the scars did give her some pause as she looked at them. It was clear Damien had seen a lot of combat. Still, she didn't bring it up and merely listened.
Their briefing was short and to the point. Vampires... they shouldn't be too problematic. She kept silent and listened to the others in case they had any questions.

Land of Dragons and vampires? Both a land she's never visited and an enemy she's never fought first-hand. Where she was from, blood-sucking humanoids were myths, but were called something different and had vaguely different descriptions. She's not so uncultured as to be completely unaware of them, but she distinctly remembers the discrepancy made when she was being told the story of a vampire encounter from a fellow competitor in a tournament once. She had no clue what to imagine, but they seemed like deadly creatures not to be underestimated.
Evia nodded once Damien finished his explanation. It seemed she would need to get fully suited up for this excursion, but given the nature of their leader's state of dress, it would be obvious they would have a short period to get ready before actually heading out 'immediately'. She wouldn't delay in that case, but would be mindful of the opportunity. She figured additional details might be coming in, and would save any questions she might have until they were dismissed as to not interrupt the important briefing.

Siris fell to the ground, tumbling once before his vision cleared, and he was looking at the wooden floor. All around him, walls rose to an upper platform. He looked up, as a Large Body Heartless loomed above him. The heartless rose it's fat hand into the air to finish the job, before it's form shimmered, and he disappeared. Siris looked behind him, towards the upper tier of the training room, where a robed figure loomed, his hands shimmering with dark magic. He chuckled, looking down at the training squire. "Another point to the heartless." Siris let out a frustrated groan, pushing himself to his feet, a wave a nausea flowing over him from over-exhertion. He leaned on his sword for a moment, breathing heavily, sweat dripping down his brow. He closed his eyes, focusing on his breathing and slowing his heart rate. Once he was feeling more ready, he stood up straight, looking back up at the mage who was summoning Heartless images for training. "Again!" Siris shouted upwards. The mage seemed hesitant to summon them again. "Are you sure, my boy? It's already been three rounds..." As he spoke, a door behind the mage opened, and a soldier ran in, speaking to the mage. "Yes, start it again!" Siris shouted, bringing his sword and shield to a ready position. The mage nodded to the soldier, before raising his arms and summoning forth more heartless, starting with a few Shadows. It was the same setup, Siris knew, he'd start with lesser Heartless, then swarm him with the Knight heartless, the most common heartless to mass against an enemy, then throw in numerous larger and stronger heartless to finish him when he is weak. Siris had this part down, but each fight was still different. Different amounts of enemies, different locations, like a real battle. Their attacks stung, but he knew the manifestations were only a fragment of the Heartless' true strength. Which is why Siris pushed himself to both avoid the blows, and practice as many times as possible against them. Not only had Siris been practicing his sword skills and stamina, but also his mind. He had been searching through the libraries in this base for information that he would not know of, so every day, he'd search the bookcases for an interesting title, and begin reading it. The only issue was, there was so much he didn't know about, he'd only take a step or two before finding what he was looking for, and begin reading. Alongside all that, he kept himself busy helping the attendants and staff of the base, helping with cleaning, cooking, guard duty, animal care, machine repairs, wherever he could help. Many faces in the base began to know Siris by name, as he had gone out of his way to learn theirs' as well. Siris had also done his best to not go on any missions, until he thought he was ready, thus, the space between him and the other knights would've been increased, save for meetings or gathering for food. Siris snapped back into focus, as the Shadows rushed for him, swarming his frontal flank. He had learned that striking wide and many proved more helpful then stabbing and fighting every heartless head on. He struck his blade in wide arcs left and right, bringing up his shield to blocks the numerous attacks without faltering. As the Shadows were slain, Soldiers were manifested, and began encircling the young man. Siris flung his sword and shield every direction to block and parry their flurry of strikes and drop kicks for him. He eventually manuevered his way around the sparring room to position many of the Soldiers into a small group, which bolstered their bravery at attacking him. But before they could get close, Siris threw his sword horizontally outwards, striking down the group of Soldiers with his Raid Strike, before recalling his sword into his hand, stabbing another Soldier through it's mask, and horizontally flinging his shield into the face of another Soldier. The Soldiers backed up, and disappeared, as Armored Knights shimmered into existence. Siris let out a tired breath, as these Heartless were hard to kill swiftly. Two Knights dashed for him from either side, their sword arms going downwards to strike for him. With one arm, he blocked the strike on his left with his shield, the other parrying the one on his right. He took a step backwards, throwing both of his arms inward to make the knights stumble forward onto the ground, before Siris brought his sword over his head to slice down upon them both. Three more knights appeared in front of them, and Siris threw his sword out once more, but the Strike Raid only struck down one of the Knights, as he recalled his sword once more, charging for the knights. He struck low, sweeping the legs from one knight, before stabbing him in the chest, his sword embedded into the wooden floor. He let go of his sword, blocking the other knights strike, bashing his shield forward, and throwing off the knight. Siris leapt upwards, still surprised with the height he was no able to achieve, before placing his shield in both hands, and crashing it's sharper bottom onto the head of the knight, clearing the room. Siris recalled his sword into his arm, replacing his shield onto his left arm. He heard a small magical noise, and looked upwards to see yet another Large Body falling towards him. Siris dodge rolled away, placing himself at the heartless' back. He got to his feet, rushing forward to stab the blade into the Large Body's back. The heartless' form began to to shimmer with blue flames, and Siris knew it was a precursor to the heartless running rampant. He drew his sword out of the enemies back, backing up as it took off, rushing about the room aimlessly. The heartless finally caught sight of him, and charged for him. Siris held up his shield, bracing for the impact, and surprisingly, he held his ground, getting pushed backwards a bit, but still standing. The Large Body had tumbled backwards, falling onto it's stomach, which left him open for the killing blow. Siris rushed forward, leaping through the air, doing a front flip for good measure, and struck his blade through the Heartless' body. It dissipated, and Siris fell to his knees, exhausted. The mage above clapped his hands, before kicking down a ladder for Siris to rejoin him. Siris made his way up, before collapsing in front of him, a grin on his face. "My... point..." He huffed. The mage gave a humorous scoff. "And that makes it 1 to 13, for this week," He said. He kneeled down, helping Siris to a sitting position. "A soldier came by, something about the Knights gathering for a meeting, or something of the sort." Siris' eyes grew wide. "What?! Why didn't you tell me that?!" He exclaimed. The mage shrugged. "You seemed adamant to fight. And for good reason. You won." Siris grinned, despite himself, before pushing himself to his feet. "I... I need to get over there." He said. He turned to leave, before the mage placed a hand on his shoulder. "Take this. You'll need it." The mage held out a Potion for Siris, but Siris shook his head. "I'll be fine..." He said, but the mage still pushed for him to take it. He took, it pocketing it, and walked out of the sparring area, jogging towards the meeting room, where the others were. He rushed into the room, placing his hands on his knees, breathing in heavily, as he looked at the other knights. He was late. He attempted to make his breath less nosy, but he was could barely find enough air to stay standing. It was clear to everyone else that he had been training, and running. Sweat drenched his shirt and hair, multiple bruises and scratches could be seen on his clothes, and obviously, the heavy breathing. He walked slowly forward, furrowing his eyebrows at the General's attire, or lack there of, before saluting weakly. "S....Sorry I'm late, sir..." He breathed. He would back up, having no questions to ask, as he would learn what was happening on the way there.

David frowned in thought as General Damien mentioned vampires, absentmindedly rubbing the side of his neck before he noticed and forced his hand down. While the existence of supposedly supernatural beings was no surprise, the thought of actually facing some did have him slightly worried. Before he could ask about the nature of the creatures, Siris nearly fell through the door and broke his train of thought.
One look at his friend showed the near total exhaustion of too many runs in the training area, something that seemed to be a common trend in the young man. He was improving at a very fast rate, but David was worried that he'd hurt himself if he kept pushing like that. He stood and walked over to Siris before he could pass out, reaching to help him stay up while also channeling his Reiki Healing ability to rejuvenate him. "Siris, I think you need to take it just a little slower on the training. You won't do us any good if you're falling over from exhaustion before we even find the vampires."
His tone was patient and light-hearted in an attempt to preserve Siris' feelings. David then turned to General Damien and became serious once more. "How long do we have to prepare, sir? It appears most of us need to gather equipment, and Siris may want to shower before we leave."

Damien remained put as the others filed in. The only one that didn't appear to be present at the time was Soah. At least, from what he could tell, Claire had arrived. So, there was at least one of the co-founders here. He looked upon each face that entered the room, putting aside the realization that this had to look odd with him standing in just a towel. Oh well, whatever. Not only that but his scars were out in the open. Hopefully, no one questioned him about them. He could tell the others weren't sure what to make of him right now. He couldn't blame them. He did appear as if he were wearing only a towel and nothing else.
One of them, Siris in fact, seemed to have practically worn himself out. Damien made a mental note to keep an eye on him while they were out in the Land of Dragons. He didn't want anything to go wrong and they end up losing him or something. Damien had nodded at David when he had saluted him, clearly exhausted. As the tired member apologized for being late, Damien just lightly dismissed it with a light shake of his head.
"Don't worry, you're here."
Damien peered over at David as he tended to the exhausted Siris while he was speaking to Damien. How long did they have to prepare?
"I give you all at least forty five minutes to get ready. No more. I don't want to have to leave any of you behind where it may require all of us to take this mission on. We meet at the council platform. The area where we all met for the first time."
With that, Damien tore open a portal for all of them to step through. He didn't want to show this skill, one that had been given to him since birth, but this situation called for it. It would help his members move quicker and get their things faster. "If you step through here, this will take you to the hallway of your living quarters." At that, Damien walked through it leading the way into the hallway. While everyone else was going here and there, Damien went straight down the hallway where his room was. Opening a portal for this, Damien stepped inside through it into his room and then dismissed the portal so it would close behind him. By now, the others had already filed through the previous portal into the hallway and the portal for that had closed as well.
Damien walked to hi bureau, threw off the towel and swim trunks and put on his normal clothes. Then, he put on his armor and his cape. By the time this was done, Damien headed back out of his room, tearing yet another portal open to step back out and closing this one again. He missed openly using this ability. It was cumbersome to keep traveling on foot over long distances when he could conveniently just tear a portal open.
Instead of stepping out into the hallway this time, however, Damien was on the council platform. Finding himself a seat, he took it and gazed out at the golden scenery before him. The sun was starting to set. However, he didn't seem to take notice. His thoughts were elsewhere, in the Land of Dragons with King Aiden.

Claire silently watched as Siris came in late and looking rather weary. She wondered at it - Siris had a good enough build that merely running here wouldn't exhaust him. Perhaps he was training? She hoped his resulting exhaustion wouldn't affect his performance. David was already healing him, giving him more energy. She hoped it would be enough. As Damien spoke, Claire turned her attention back to him.
I give you all at least forty five minutes to get ready. No more. I don't want to have to leave any of you behind where it may require all of us to take this mission on. We meet at the council platform. The area where we all met for the first time.
With that, she got up from the pillar she was leaning on. She didn't take the portal, but merely teleported to her own quarters. There was very little to prepare in her case - with her duties and what she did during her life, she could be ready on a moment's notice. She summoned on her armor and took a bit of extra time readjusting the straps as necessary. She then summoned her greatsword, Alaunus, and strapped it to her back which had holders for such a situation. She could've just summoned her weapons, but if they were going into an area where magic would be cancelled out, it was better safe than sorry.
When she had done with her preparations (which took extremely little time), she teleported herself to the council platform. Damien himself was already there, lost in thought. And no one else had appeared yet. "For some reason, I get the feeling that this mission is a bit more than simple extermination," she said calmly. Her look was expressionless - neither accusatory nor questioning. It was just something she observed and felt.

Damien remembered the times he spent five years ago with the others. Aiden, before he became king, had been one of their group. He had, actually, been the youngest amongst them. Who would have thought the kid, once a thief, would become a king? No one knew, until the original king had died, that Aiden was the sole remaining relative of the Wilder family. Since his uncle had died along with his children, it was Aiden that was next in line for the throne. Now, Aiden was king.
There had been a time where things had been too close for comfort. That time where the living suit of armor had grabbed onto his arm when he had tried to get one of the only two keyblades of that time. Now, keyblades were everywhere again. The Evil Emperor didn't exterminate the keyblade wielders like he had thought. That was comforting.
Now, Aiden was in his early twenties. Normally, Aiden contacted Damien when something was amiss. Damien would always rush to his aid. It was very strange that there had been one of Aiden's aids to contact them. Damien knew there was something else wrong. The aid had refused to give further detail. Was Aiden in danger? Damien's expression turned grim a little. He hadn't even noticed Claire was there until she spoke up.
Slowly, Damien lifted his gaze toward the blonde. She suspected that their mission was going to be more than simple extermination. "You may be right. I feel this situation might either include a ploy of some sort or a kidnapping...or worse." Damien breathed in a little. He hoped Aiden was alright, he was like the kid brother he never had. Of course, Aiden wasn't a kid anymore but Damien still regarded him as a close friend. If anyone hurt him or killed him, Damien would make sure whoever did the harm or assassination would pay for it dearly.

Siris nodded as the General waved off his tardiness, his hands going to his knees as he recovered his breath more. David began walking towards, extending out his palm towards him. Siris felt the rejuvenating energies of his spell upon him, stand up just a bit straighter as he spoke. "Siris, I think you need to take it just a little slower on the training. You won't do us any good if you're falling over from exhaustion before we even find the vampires." Siris seemed to tune out the second sentence for a second, beaming at his superior friend. "Yeah, but David, I -won-! After two weeks, I finally beat level 3. Now I only have, what, a dozen more to go before I catch up?" He gave a laugh, before tilting his head. "Vampires? Like, 'I vhant to suck your blood', fangs, immortality vampires?" He furrowed his eyebrows. He wasn't sure if he'd be up to the task. This would be his first time in the field, -knowingly- chasing after danger. Maybe since he knew it was coming, it wouldn't be as bad.
"How long do we have to prepare, sir? It appears most of us need to gather equipment, and Siris may want to shower before we leave." Siris gave David an embarrassed, annoyed look. "Hey! I don't smell that ba-" He said as he lifted his arm, giving a sniff, before flinching away. "Oh! Ah, good call..." He says, his face flushing red. The general proceeded to give them all forty five minutes, opening up a portal to their living quarters hall. Siris wasn't a big fan of portals, as his experience of them with David was a little rough. But, as he stepped through, there was no exhaustion--well, more exhaustion-- or nausea, unlike David's Door to Darkness portals. He looks around, before going to his room, which was the first one the right.
Inside, he had made himself at home, and, after assisting one of the castle painters, was returned the favor, by him changing his room. What was originally a dull green color had been painted over with shades of crimson, fitting his style a bit more. The room itself consisted of a queen size bed, black sheets, both sides flanked by end-tables, a long counter sporting a rectangle mirror above it, drawers beneath it. To the left of the bed, a door to the private bathroom, and a closet beside it. He left the closet empty, for the day he would fill it with the armor earned. Until then, nothing was it it.
As he closed the door behind him, he leaned heavily against it, taking in a heavy breath. Had David not healed him, he would've fallen over then and there. He was right, he was pushing himself too hard, but he had to, to catch up to them, to actually be of aid to the party, when they went on missions. He shook his head, taking out the potion the mage had given him. He crushes the jar in his hand, lightly tossing it upwards, where the potion's contents spiraled around him, healing him further, making his bruises disappear, his vision more solid, and his resolve stronger. He pushed off the door, diving into the bathroom to quickly make himself presentable. When he got out, he ran swiftly to the vanity drawers. As he opened the drawers, he gave a small smirk as the only thing that greet him were a multitude of the same shirts and pants he normally wore. Just a normal grey undertunic, and a brown over shirt. He placed them on, his black pants, and his normal boots. He still hadn't managed to summon any further armor, beside his half breastplate, shoulderguards, bracers, legguards, and boots, but he had managed his fights, with the minimal protection. Hopefully he would fair as well against the vampires. He grabbed his longsword and shield, lying next to the bathroom door where he left them. He double checked everything, before exiting the room. He shut the door, turning, and ran at a breakneck pace to get to the meeting room.
As he ran by numerous people, they would hail him, or attempt to flag him for help, but he would merely respond with a "'Scuse me! Watch out! Sorry, can't help! Meeting!" or some over response as he weaved his way through the staff and soldiers of the castle. He finally made his way to the outer entrance, coming outside to the ever amazing world they dwelled in, before running around the balcony of the main building. He found the steps leading to the meeting area, jumping up them three at a time, before setting sights on the general and the female Commander. He rushed up to stand with them, barely breaking a sweat, his breathing relatively normal, as if he hadn't sprint a good half a mile or so to the area. He salutes them both. "General Stark, Commander Claire."

David just shook his head as he watched Siris run through the portal to prepare. While it was true that he was the least powerful of the Knights, he made up for it with his work ethic and strength of will. Truthfully, he reminded David of himself before he gained control of his Elements, something that he had never expected. In time, he may end up being the strongest of them all.
David blinked as he realized he had been blankly staring at the wall in the Communications room long enough that the portal had closed. Thankfully nobody remained in the room but him, so he simply opened a Corridor into his room and walked through before dropping onto his bed. He had begun to get restless over the past few days, especially since he hadn't used any of his true skills where anyone else could see. It wasn't that he didn't trust them, but rather that he was afraid of being treated differently once they knew his full strength.
He sighed once more before pulling himself up and glanced around, noting the familiar picture of his sister, best friend, and himself, sitting next the hard drive of his old computer and a few other things from before his world fell. "Looks like I won't be able to hide much longer." His eyes lingered on the old memories for another minute, then he turned and walked out the door.
Since he hadn't actually needed any time to prepare he was easily ten minutes early as he entered the platform. One look at Commander Claire and General Damien made him feel under dressed, so he summoned his armor before stepping into view. The full plate was nearly as light as his normal clothes, thanks to a constant flow of Twilight running through the metal, but it did tend to get stuffy after a while. He glanced over to Siris, who had somehow beat him there despite obviously showering beforehand, then briefly saluted. "I'm ready whenever."

A portal to the living quarters, how convenient. Forty five minutes would be more than adequate for her to prepare. All Evia required was to slip on the entirety of her armor, everything else came as a packaged deal. She nodded once they were all dismissed, ignoring the idle chatter between the others, and headed back to her room through the portal. It was actually still mind-blowing to the girl that she could instantaneous access certain areas of the large facility presented to them in just a mere step into a glassy liquid-like substance, as she's never really experienced any sort of warping or teleportation. As a human without any powers herself, anything mystical always fascinated her.
No matter, distractions regarding portals aside, she quickly made her way to her room and closed the door to gain access to her inner suit that hung up on a rack behind it. Removing the gauntlet she previously strapped on and all the rest of her clothing, she slipped into the skin-tight inner suit and went to her armor closet and grabbed pieces one by one in logical order and strapped in. Her armor wasn't just one suit she applied, but a series of very intricate pieces that had their own function. It was a steady balance of protection and flexibility along with various weapons all slotted around various points in her suit. It took her just under eight minutes to complete this process, to which she made her way back to the meeting point that Damien discussed earlier. She found a chair and sat down, mentally preparing herself for the battle to come.

Damien looked up when he heard a voice, a familiar one. Surprisingly, it was Siris. He had seemed still a bit tired from earlier but he had somehow managed to make it here before the other regular members. As the Squire of Heart saluted, addressing Damien and Claire by formalities, Damien got to his feet. It looked like the Squire hadn't actually done much today. Well, at least he looked well now. Even still, Damien would watch over his group carefully. He didn't want any of them to end up dying on the job. Granted, there was always that chance but he would do what he could to prevent such a thing from happening. In greeting, Damien had given Siris a respectful nod.
"At ease, Siris."
Next came David, saluting them as well before announcing that he was ready. Next, Evia arrived. It looked like the lot of them were accounted for except one Commander. Oh well, Claire was pretty capable without Soah. Damien and Claire could easily lead the rest of them but Damien will have to look into getting another Commander soon so as to lighten the load on Claire. Seeing that they were all accounted for, Damien walked over so that the others would be able to hear him as a whole.
"I'm sure this might be a little daunting for you or maybe even unbelievable to some. Vampires aren't normally something people go up against. Whatever is happening in the Land of Dragons, I want you all to stick close. No one is to try and be a hero. Why are you a part of this group if you're not to be a hero? What I mean by don't try to be a hero is putting yourself at risk unnecessarily. We work as a team when we're on missions such as this one. No one does anything too risky that would not only put their lives in danger but those around them who try to save them from their heroism. As for why I decided to take you all along, I feel that you are ready to take one your first task. Claire and I will assure your safety. If things get too hairy, I will tear open a portal for those of you hurt too badly and send you through to safety."
Damien looked at each of them carefully. They were most definitely ready. He just hoped that they would be able to handle the vampire problem. There was no telling just how many of them there were nor if it were a true story. All would be revealed once they got there. Maybe Damien should alert them to the possibility of it being a ruse to lure them in?
"Just so you are aware, be prepared for anything. This story about the vampires may or may not prove to be true. We could very likely end up going into a trap for all we know. Just stick close to everyone and I'm sure we'll weather the storm come what may."
Damien extended a hand, tearing open a portal. Beyond, through the portal, they would be able to see the new Emperor's Palace. It seemed to be fashioned just like the previous one but had a more modern look to it. Not that different though.
"Follow me." With that said, Damien had stepped through the portal and into the Land of Dragons. He would be found patiently waiting on the other side for everyone to exit before he would lead the way up the steps to the palace doors. There, guards would be found on either side of these doors. Upon spotting them, the guards would bow and knock on the doors, signalling for those within to open the doors wide for them to permit them all entry.

As the rest filed in, Claire watched impassively as she thought. On the surface, this mission seemed easy enough. A vampire problem - not an issue. She had dealt with plenty of those in her vast lifetime. However, judging both from her gut feeling and Damien's reactions, there was something bigger than mere vampires. She didn't know what it was though, and that concerned her. And she hated stumbling in the dark like this, but there was nothing else for it. Perhaps there was a way to perhaps mitigate it...
She listened as Damien addressed the others. A quick glance around told her that her compatriot, Soah, was a no-show. Well, her first instinct had been correct - he seemed to be a bit unreliable. Perhaps he was a good warrior but simply not a good leader. Well that mattered little. She could handle the work as Damien's second-in-command, even without Soah around. She was used to it - it was part of her regular duties after all. She looked over at him as he told them all of his suspicions. They at least knew things would be bigger, but still....
She sent a mental link to Damien as she stepped through the portal, briefly touching his mind so Damien would know it was her before they mentally connected. They needed privacy, and she couldn't risk anyone eavesdropping. "I don't like this," she spoke. "There's something going on behind the scenes and we're pawns in someone's game. I suggest sending someone to look around while we deal with the vampires. At best, we'll only be down one person as we deal with the vampire problem and that'll be that. But if there's anything else..."

Siris stood at a ready position, despite being given the at ease order, as if the next few moments would bring action, until he heard another approaching, turning slightly to watch David arrive and salute the man. Siris gave the smallest of smiles, looking sidelong at David as they awaited the others, or orders. "Heh, you're slowing down David. Maybe I'm catching up faster than you thought." He jabs David lightly with his elbow, before placing it on the hilt of his sword, adjusting his shield with his shoulder lightly. Next, and lastly, Evia showed up, without a peep or word of regard to her superiors, which subtly struck a chord with Siris. He regarded her with a furrowed brow for a moment. Siris was still unsure of her, despite her noble claims of joining this order. He had not interacted with her at all, since their first dinner together, and he wasn't sure of her capabilities. He sighed, knowing that such things would be revealed in the coming hours, turning his attention back on Damien.
His General told him, and the others, to avoid being a hero. Well, without Commander Soah and his riveting proclamations, it shouldn't be that hard. He sighed, regarding the missing position with unease, wondering where the other Commander had gone, and if he would be replaced. All things to put aside until later, though, as another portal was opened before them. Siris ducked into the passage, coming out with his feet touching the grey stone of the huge courtyard before the Palace. Siris mouth gaped as he turned every which way, regarding the world and it's architecture with wonderment. "Whooooooa!" He snapped back to attention as the guards bowed, shaking his head. He'd need to get use to seeing wonderful sights... and ignoring them, in the face of duty. He stood behind the General and Commander, awaiting the others, that they may enter the Palace.

David grinned under his helmet at Siris’ teasing, but remained silent as Evia arrived. Commander Soah still wasn't there, but he hadn't been around much since the first night anyhow. He assumed that there was either a good reason for his absence or he was missing, and both would be taken care of by his superiors. David had actually forgotten how reassuring it could be to be further down the chain of command, not having to make the tough decisions.
He simply nodded at General Damien’s words, though he did take them to heart. He knew that he could heal from just about anything with Dawn’s Grace, but even that couldn't reverse death. The General’s portal, now that David was paying attention, looked odd to him. Instead of connecting two places with a Corridor, it appeared to rip a hole in reality linking to the destination. It made him curious, but it seemed obvious that it was an inherited ability, and thus could not be learned. He was mildly impressed by the Palace as he stepped through the portal into the courtyard. While he had been to this world several times, he had never approached this area before due to the nature of his jobs.

As soon as they stepped through the portal that he tore open, Damien felt something brush at his mind. He became guarded, looking around since he wasn't sure where the connection had come from. He had a bad encounter with a telepath before. So, naturally, he became wary. It wasn't until he heard the familiar voice that he discovered the telepath happened to be Claire. She didn't like it one bit. Well, that much was obvious. It could be a mixture of things for all they knew.
'I'm well aware that we're likely walking into something more than what we were presented with.' was what Damien replied within their link. No, he was sure there was something. It could be the vampires were being used as a mere excuse. Sure, the vampires could actually be a problem but there was easily more than just that.
'If I sent someone else away, there is a high chance they will notice one of us is missing.' Yes, there was a high chance that since their entrance that their numbers were already known. That blasted official of Aiden's would likely know. Damien didn't generally like the man. He knew there was something sketchy about him and so did the king. However, circumstances made it difficult for the king to not have the man around.
Now that they were inside the palace, they were brought to a certain point before the guards conversed. They were escorted to the palace's throne room. There, Damien wasn't surprised to find that the king wasn't present. Their communication earlier had told him that much. The official they had met earlier on the monitor was already there, looking down upon them all.
"Ah, General Damien and the Knights of Heart. Welcome! We are so glad you could join us so quickly."
Damien just merely politely nodded. He disliked the man greatly but even he wasn't beyond showing some respect. The official stepped down to come before them. The way he stood, well poised, irked Damien a little. It were as if they were all beneath him but yet, he kept a smile on his face to appear polite. Being older now, Damien was beyond giving in to his old ways. Officials like this man often learned Damien didn't take their crap unless he was directly working with them.
"As I am sure you are well aware due to the fashion of our conversation that something was amiss?" the official had asked. Yes, Damien was well aware of it. "You are correct. You see, the vampires here have been gradually showing up. We have hears stories of vampires before but we did not expect this. Gradually, their numbers have increased. The king, they took away on us. We fear that...well, that we may no longer have a king soon. That is why we contacted you, to retrieve him."
The official seemed to be studying Damien but Damien remained stoic. He wasn't going to give this man any indication of how he felt or what he thought right now. After all, Damien wasn't sure he believed this story. Knowing the king personally, Damien wouldn't put it beyond Aiden to voluntarily go and investigate something of this nature. Even still, this official could be using the vampires as an excuse for something else going on within the walls here. Damien could tell there was something there that they weren't being told.
"Why don't you cut crap and drop the lies and deception and tell me the real story?" Damien growled, his eyes narrowing. "I know the king, he doesn't just disappear without a trace."
"H-How dare you! I am merely asking for your help. The king needs to be found. So, naturally, since you know him we thought to have you go looking for him first."
Damien stepped toward the man in a menacing manner. "I am onto you. As soon as I find him, we'll settle this." With that, Damien glanced around the room. The guards weren't sure whether to intervene or not. The situation soon died down when Damien stepped back and spoke to the room at large. "We'll find him...if any of you are plotting something...you can guarantee that I'll personally finish it." With that, Damien tore open a portal.
"Through the portal, my Knights." With that, Damien stepped through and out into the land just outside the palace.

The doors before them swung open, and the knights were escorted inside. Siris' red-irised eyes searched the architecture and the pathways winding throughout the palace, grinning lightly to himself. "Well, at least ours is better." He thought. The guards closed in as they entered a large throne room, yet as they were brought forward, it was obvious the man who stood before them was not the one the General expected to see. Just by looking at him, Siris got a sense of unease from this official, and once he spoke, it was like something grating against his very being. He couldn't help but furrow his eyebrows as the man prattled useless information to them. Siris was even more taken aback when his General's first words were filled with venom and loathing. He had read that diplomacy involved respectful trading of words, but he felt neither side had done so. Is that how it actually was?
Siris tilted his head as the conversation was cut short, and obediently followed his General through the portal without a word spoken. As he exited, seeing them near the high walls of the palace, he got a general sense of location. He placed his elbow on his sword hilt, sighing as he looked around for any guards. If there weren't any within ear shot, he would speak to everyone as they exited the portal. "Well, that was... interesting, but what do we do now? He didn't give us any leads, locations to check, or... anything, really." He looked at his General. "Who was that man? And as well, this king? Do we know anything about him?"
