Deep in the bamboo grove three armored figures emerged into a small clearing. The tallest, in purple and gold plate, was currently arguing with the other male, in black and red leather armor. "Jason, I told you we shouldn't have listened to that Runemaster at the Colosseum." Jason shook his head as he stopped near the middle. "Well, how was I supposed to know that it couldn't read? Just because I can talk to them doesn't mean I know everything about them David!"
As the two continued to bicker back and forth, the shortest of the three, and the only female, tapped her foot in growing irritation. A few minutes later, she had finally had enough and marched up to the other two in her silver armor. "Alright, that's enough you two. We seem to do this every time we have you make the Corridor, so I'LL make it this time." David turned to stare oddly at his sister as silence fell in the clearing. "Jennifer, you CAN'T make a Corridor. You control Light, not Darkness."
In her irritated state of mind Jennifer took that as a challenge. Just to prove him wrong she snapped her arm out toward the edge of the clearing and focused on the opposite of her Element. Remarkably, a small and rather unstable Corridor did appear, only it was about five feet off the ground and horizontal instead of vertical. Still, she beamed with pride at the look on the boys' faces, at least until Jason spoke up. "You DID remember to pick a destination so that the other end wouldn't open in a random spot, right?"
Her blush, and silence, said everything they needed to know.

It was not long after the Light Bearer's embarrassment showed on her face, that the extent of her mistake was truly realized.
Bhae sighed, sipping from her tea which she held in one hand, her weapon, Brutus, hanging limply in her other. A small puff of black smoke dissipated before her; the remnants of a Heartless that had interrupted her brunch. It was not often they found their way inside her home, but she supposed that was her own fault for leaving the window open for a breeze.
"Lesson learned, I suppose," she muttered to herself, and set the tea on the edge of the counter. Bhae turned, taking one step toward the fridge for a pitcher to refill her glass when the floor suddenly fell out from beneath her feet. She gasped, choking down the scream that had momentarily threatened to escape her lips.
Cold. That was her first sensation, as she came crashing down through the corridor--only to fall further from its suspended height. "Aghk!" she shrieked, though her concerns were soon voided. She landed in a thick bed of foliage.
The woman groaned, lifting her face from the leaves. All of a sudden, Brutus fell through, landing straight across her back. 'Oomf!" she grunted, cringing. "et tu...Brutus?"
She rolled aside, shaking her curls free from the bits of twig and leaf that clung to it after her untidy descent. The corridor was gone. How lovely. She picked up Brutus by the handle and used it as a cane to stagger to her feet, grumbling.
It was only then that her gaze swept toward the three figures standing nearby, framed by...was that bamboo? Bhae's eyes narrowed, their pale green studios, and even more suspicious than was usual for her. She looked rather nonthreatening especially compared to those three in armor, and considering her height was, well, lacking. But she had a pretty face at least, and her weapon looked sturdy enough to deal a decent amount of damage with a well-placed swing. Still, it was painfully obvious that she had no idea where she was, and she was not too pleased about being there.
"I don't suppose one of you three has any idea where...this, is?" she gestured around at the grove for emphasis, noting that at least the glade had a pleasant smell to it.

Blank stares were all the answer the young woman got, at least at first. David was the first to recover, quickly dismissing his armor to reveal a navy blue T-shirt and jeans underneath and took a few steps toward her. "You are now in the Land of Dragons, but I am truly sorry about how you got here." He glanced back to Jennifer just as Jason nudged her forward, and she sighed before putting her hands up and explaining. "We were arguing about how to get out of here when I got impatient and tried to open a portal without a destination. As you can see, that apparently makes the exit random."

"Apparently."
Despite her short response, her body language had changed. She seemed less tense, and one might have even detected a sort of amused twinkling in her eye. The woman tossed her baton up, and it disappeared, falling into place as one of her many belt loop keychains. Clearly, she had decided that they were not enemies. For now.
She looked down over herself, and then back up at the woman. "I have all my limbs. So I guess that's no harm done."
Bhae was surprised at how tall the three of them were, though it was more likely that they only appeared that way because she was short. On the other hand, the boy who had stepped forward first had to be in the six foot neighborhood. She tried to gather what their intentions were, but they were hard for her to read with two of them still in armor, and Bhae was not equipped with any talent or skill that would allow her to sense anything beyond typical sensory perception.
However, if they were capable of sensing energies, they might find that hers was a bit of a contradiction--or at least that it maintained a very delicate balance between positive and negative.
"My name is Bhae." She announced, somewhat flatly. "What's with the armor?"

David studied the woman's aura, looking for any injuries. What he found was a remarkable similarity to his own, though without the warring Duality masking most of it. Meanwhile, Jason joined the others and bowed slightly, his tone very light with a hint of cockiness. "Pleasure to meet you Bhae. We were just returning from a training session at the Olympus Colosseum, hence the armor. I am Jason, this lovely lady is Jennifer, and this hulking fellow is David."
David rolled his eyes at his friend's descriptions and continued the tale in a more normal tone. "We were heading back to our base on Radiant Garden when Jason told us about a shortcut he had learned about from a Runemaster before we left. Apparently, that word doesn't mean the same thing to them as it does to us." Jennifer bounced in place slightly as she took over, already back to her usual bubbly self. "So we ended up here in the middle of nowhere! Now we're trying to get back to somewhere these two call the checkpoint since they have trouble opening Corridors in unfamiliar places. We could take you with us if you want! It's the least we can do since we brought you here."

Bhae nodded briefly at Jason's explanation and introduction. She felt compelled to offer a brief bow of her head in return, but as he introduced each of them her eyes darted from them in order. Jason, Jennifer, David. She would not need to be told their names again. She had a good memory for that sort of thing. "Pleased to meet all of you."
A faint ghost of a smile hung about her face, almost as if she was trying to decide whether or not she wanted the expression to show or not. Out of everything they said, she only understood Radiant Garden. The young woman crossed her arms, and moved one hand to rest lightly against her chin, as if deep in thought.
Her voice took on an almost teasing tone before she pointed first to Jason, "So really it's your fault for suggesting the shortcut."
She grinned. Obviously, Bhae was not angry or upset anymore. "Jennifer; I'll have you know that I am from Radiant Garden, so even though your aim was a little off, you at least got to the right place."
Bhae nodded, curly hair springing in time with the movement. "That sounds perfect. Knowing me, I would get lost without help. I have a poor sense of direction."
She seemed content to follow them, whoever chose to take the lead did not concern her. As long as they were heading to Radiant Garden, it made sense for her to travel with them until they got there. However, she could not help her curiosity, and decided to back-track to something Jason mentioned.
"What do you mean by training, by the way? Are you preparing for a competition?"

Jason rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment as the other two nodded in agreement with Bhae. "Even after two years, I still don't understand everything those Heartless say. It's like I understand the language, but not the dialect." Jennifer glanced over to him again in surprise, but was quickly distracted by Bhae's next words. A smug expression grew on her face, only to turn to a pout when she noticed her brother.
David could tell she was about to go of on a tangent about getting the place right, and he really didn't feel like staying there while she did. A violet flash accompanied the summoning of his armor again, minus the helmet this time, and he started walking as he explained a little. "We are, as far as we can tell, the only survivors of the world of Celderat. Each of us was born with the ability to control an Element, but we spend our lives constantly honing that control. The easiest way to do that is through physical and mental training, so we occasionally participate in the Games at the Colosseum."
Jennifer managed to cut in at that point, a little fiercer than normal since she had already been stopped once. "We were scattered when our world fell, and I ended up at the Colosseum. The manager there, Phil, took me under his wing and got me started in the Games. Pretty soon I was fairly well known as the Angelic Archer, and now I can join in whenever I feel like it."

A look of confusion passed across her face, complete with a slight crinkle of her nose. "I didn't even know they had a language..." Considering he had just disclosed that he spoke with heartless she seemed entirely unperturbed. Bhae didn't typically judge what people did in their free time and for all she knew at that moment, it did not automatically make him any sort of evil threat. Though she had to admit, chatting up heartless for directions seemed pretty comical to her.
"Mm." She nodded, to let David know she was listening as he began to explain. She followed, also glancing toward Jen when she added in her two cents. "I see. It is very fortunate that you found each other again. I've heard that not everyone has been so lucky..."
Bhae paused at a rustling in the nearby bamboo, where a rapid thruster heartless suddenly appeared heading for her--only to be very abruptly and violently whacked by her baton that had appeared in her hands. Her form was very similar to a major league batter and, in fact, after the cracking sound of contact between Brutus and the Heartless, she stood with one hand shading her eyes to watch the unfortunate creature go sailing over the top of the nearest bamboo stalks.
"Sweet. Home run."
She lowered her hand, gently tapping the end of the club against her heel as she looked up at Jason. "Sorry about that. Hope it wasn't one of your buddies."
Though she had been quick to react, it certainly looked like her weapon was hardly efficient against heartless. Even though she had sent it flying, it did not appear to have been destroyed by the blow.

David nodded at Bhae's comment before stiffening as the Rapid Thruster darted out of the thicket. Before anyone could react it was already flying away, though that didn't stop Jennifer from launching a Light arrow after it. Just before the Heartless reached the top of the stalks the arrow caught up, scattering it into a harmless mist. She smirked as she lowered her bow again, free hand on her hip. "Nice hit, Bhae. Good form."
Jason waved his hand casually as the mist settled into the bamboo. "Don't worry about it. None of the Heartless I've reformed would attack anyone, so there's no way it was one of mine." He was perfectly cheerful, though he did seem more alert than before now.
David shook his head slightly before continuing on. "Just keep your senses sharp Sahar. where there's one there's always more." Jason saluted half mockingly before following. "Sure thing, Mizan."

Bhae smiled; a tiny smile, that almost seemed more for herself than the others. "Thank you. My brother was in little league; I used to help him practice." She swept the bat up so it rested against her shoulder. "Nice shot by the way."
She turned to Jason next, nodding. "That is good to know." Curiosity was brimming within; she had a million questions about what reforming a heartless meant, but Bhae was hesitant to be too inquisitive after just meeting someone.
Despite her outward appearance of calm, Bhae was worried. The Heartless set her on edge, as did any form of darkness, but she knew worry was useless. Her attention perked up again once more as they started talking about the possibility of more arriving. Why did they have to be like ant? Why couldn't it just be one-and-done with heartless?
She shook her head, thinking 'oh well' to herself. The fact that they had used different names for one another caught her attention, but Bhae assumed they must have been nicknames, and so she was not curious about them. Instead, she followed when the started walking again--this time keeping Brutus in her hand and resting against her shoulder in case anything else popped up.
"So where is this...'Checkpoint?'"

David glanced up at the sky as they passed a gap, hoping to answer Bhae's question. After a moment of calculations, he started walking in a slightly different direction. "We should get there in the next ten minutes or so, as long as we don't run into any trouble."
Jennifer groaned the instant he said that, while Jason just chuckled. "When do we ever NOT run into trouble when we take a detour? I'm just hoping nothing big shows up." Which caused another groan by Jennifer, though this time she decided to elaborate on her feelings. "Will you two stop jinxing us? It's bad enough that you're using our Elemental Titles outside of a job!"
That started both Jason and Jennifer to start arguing playfully, though they kept their voices low enough to not bother the other two in front. David tried to follow the conversation for a moment before rolling his eyes and sighing again. "She may be older, but sometimes I get the feeling I'm the more mature sibling." His voice softened to nearly a murmur before he continued, almost to himself. "Of course, she didn't have my problems either."

Bhae smirked as Jason and Jen bickered. She understood Jennifer's concern, but she was not nearly superstitious enough to actually believe they were in any danger of making their situation worse by simply speaking things aloud. Instead, she chose to take David's lead, and stayed out of the conversation--though she did seem to be looking around at their surroundings often. It wasn't home...but it was pretty.
Her interest peaked again as she heard him mutter softly, something about problems. She was quiet for a moment after, but this time her curiosity would not go away so easily. "Problems?" she questioned just as quietly as he had spoken before. "Have a habit of getting into trouble or something? You don't seem the type..."

While Jason and Jennifer continued behind him, David pulled out his silver necklace with it's Yin/Yang pendant and showed it to Bhae. "I was born with two opposing Elements within me instead of one, something called a Duality." He summoned a small ball of Light in his right hand and Darkness in his left to demonstrate. "Every Element comes with it's own personality traits, like Jennifer's carefree nature and Jason's cockiness. As these two fought for dominance within me I would rapidly shift in mood and thought, often violently. I couldn't afford to let them be perfectly equal either, since a Celderatian's Element is their life force, and these two don't like each other." For emphasis he threw the two orbs together, where they promptly exploded.
"For seventeen years I swung back and forth between Light and Darkness, until I met a wandering monk who taught me about chi, or spirit energy. I found that using chi as a catalyst I could combine two opposites into one Element." He formed another two orbs, but this time a third, nearly transparent orb appeared between them. When he pushed them all together this time, they merged effortlessly into a shining violet sphere. "This is my version of Twilight, a perfect balance of Light and Darkness with a fragment of my soul thrown into the mix. Thanks to this, I was granted the Elemental Title of Mizan, which translates into a scale or balance."

Never one to turn down new information, Bhae listened attentively to his explanation, watching the demonstrations he brought up closely. The more he spoke, the more her face seemed to reflect less, and less information. It was as if she had put on a mask, so that her thoughts, and feelings regarding his explanation were hidden. What was left, when he displayed his version of Twilight, was a very placid expression.
"Oh." Was her only response. It was difficult to tell if she was upset, or simply uninterested. However, in truth, she was neither. Confused, was more the word...and perhaps with a twinge of jealousy.
She had similar struggles but the cause was different. He had two competing elements, and she had a brain that flunked chemistry. Bhae did not like discussing her struggle as openly as he had shared his, and it showed by her sudden shift to silence. She did not say anything else, and instead kept her eyes trained forward. Bhae had no 'Twilight'...she was still searching for a remedy, and often swung back and forth between states of pleasant calm, and furious despair. She did not think this 'chi' would be of use to her, unfortunately.
The scenery around was shifting, and she assumed it must be because they were approaching the checkpoint. It had all gone so smoothly...she was surprised Jason and Jennifer's bickering had not drawn more attention.

Kairi smiled as she appeared in The Land of Dragons. (It's China, they should have just called it China, there is one dragon) On an actually important mission... Actually Master Yen Sid just told her, Sora Donald and Goofy, Riku, and King Mickey, to check on the worlds just in case the heartless or nobodies were getting out of hand. She was currently in front of the palace, no doubt with the Emperor and Mulan inside, like Sora told her. He also told her to say hi to them and that they were friends of his, but she didn't want to meddle. She looked around. "Hmm.." She walked forwards. "No Heartless.." She said looking side to side before she walked through a gate, seeing a small river and two branching paths ahead. "Hmm.." She took a few steps ahead and suddenly a Bolt Tower showed up. She rolled her eyes. "Finally!" She said, summoning her keyblade and running up to it. "Fira!" She yelled out, aiming right at it's face. A few seconds later the Heartless was gone and she had collected the munny it dropped. She was about to continue down one of the paths but then she heard voices coming down one. She instanly panicked, not knowing who it was and not being told about anyone other than Mulan, the Emperor, and some general who's name was eluding her. She quickly scrambled for somewhere to hide and she chose behind a nearby cart full of fireworks as they came close.
// Apologies, I did not have much time to make this reply.

David quickly picked up on Bhae's mood after his explanation, but he remained silent about it. Since he had no way to help, all he could do was make things worse if he tried. Thankfully, the group soon reached the Checkpoint, its waterfall oddly quiet compared to most. David immediately noticed that they weren't alone, sensing a vast Light from somewhere nearby. Even Jennifer noticed it, suddenly stopping her "conversation" with Jason to glance around warily. "I've never sensed that much Light in one spot before. Any idea what it is David?"
Jason stayed near Bhae as the other two walked toward the river searching. He had yet to release his twin wrist blades, but every inch of him was prepared to counter from any angle. "Another interesting thing about us Cederatians is the ability to sense high concentrations of our Element. For the three of us that control Light and Darkness, or in David's case both, that means we can sense people's hearts as well. The more powerful they are, the further we can sense them from."
Jennifer continued to move carefully as she searched, knowing very well that just because it was Light didn't mean it was friendly. David was even more confused for a moment, since there was no Darkness balancing the Light at all. Finally he realized what was going on and he relaxed again, even chuckling a little as he called out. "It's alright guys, I know what's going on." Now that he knew what to look for he turned to face the only thing in the area able to hide a person behind it. "You can come out now Kairi. It's me, David Talec."

The pink haired girl was worried when she thought they figured out she was there, and she did not know for sure but she already sensed hostility, she heard a familar voice that she could not place for a moment though and when she finally realised and he asked her to come out she sighed happily, easing her worries and walking out from behind the firework cart, keyblade in hand. "Hey again,David."She said with a giggle, glad she was not in any real trouble, she looked over the other people in the group and no one seemed /evil/ in a sense so she happily decided to make friends with them as well. "Hi, i'm Kairi." She introduced herself to them, making her keyblade disappear for the moment. "Someone is quick to judge." "Shh" She said back to Namine, before the nobody brought up something interesting to her. "Hey Kairi, didn't Sora say he opened the gate key for this world?" "Yeah.. Why?" "Did he say anything about the keyhole?" The girl'seyes widened as she thought about it, which would seem wierd to anybody in front of her who couldn't read minds.

Fortunately, Bhae did not stay upset for long, and was even glad to hear they had a mystery up ahead; something about a large amount of light. As Jason explained she nodded where it was appropriate so he would know she understood.
"That must come in handy."
It was David who spoke up, claiming he knew what they had come across, and he even called out a name. A girl revealed herself, with vivid hair and kind eyes. She called herself Kairi, and for a moment, Bhae wondered why the name sounded familiar to her. Perhaps someone in Radiany Garden knew her, and had mentioned the name before. In any case the girl seemed friendly.
"Hello, Kairi. It is nice to meet you." She did not offer her name at first, because she noticed the strange expression that had come across the redhead's face. "Everything okay?"

Jennifer and Jason relaxed the instant David did, though their reactions were otherwise very different. Jennifer's body started to glow faintly, almost as if her Light was resonating with Kairi's, which made her even more giddy, if that was even possible. "Hey, I'm sparkling!" She turned rapidly in an attempt to view her entire body at once, a large grin spreading on her face. "This is SO cool!
Jason's body seemed to be shrouded in shadow as his Darkness attempted to counter the drastic increase in magical Light. His crimson eyes were the only things not shaded, giving him a truly eerie appearance. "Well, THIS is different." He held a shadowed hand up to the cloudless sky in interest, unknowingly mimicking a certain pirate several worlds away. "I wonder why that doesn't happen around Jennifer?"
David had no visible reaction at all, having most of his Light and Darkness combined into Twilight at all times. His patience was wearing a little thin though after everything that had already happened, so when Kairi's aura doubled in that odd way yet again... "Kairi, do you know why it sometimes looks like there are two people's auras around you? It's been bugging me since we met the first time, and it only seems to happen when you space out."

She was so intranced in her conversation with Namine that she barely noticed when one of the girls saw her spacing out and wanted to inquire about her condition. And immediately when she meant to reply to her she saw that the other girl standing there was glowing. "Huh.. Does that happen a lot?" She asked before noticing that David's friend was having a much different reaction.
Now, Kairi has not had the best of times with Darkness users, she knew that Riku used it. But she could not help but remember Ansem, Maleficent, Orginization thirteen... And she could somehow "feel" Namine shudder inside her at the thought of them. So as it stood now she was trying to be friendly but in all reality she did not know how to react to someone covered with darkness with red eyes at this moment, but no one else was acting as though it was evil so she tried to calm down.
But then David asked her a rather peculiar question. "Another Aura..?" She asked quizzically, and immediately heard Namine understand what he was talking about. "Does he mean me..? Do I still have a aura?" She asked as well. But Kairi had a hard time wondering how she could possibly explain this. "Well... Do you know about nobodies?" She asked, planning to answer what the other girl initially asked about her spacing out as well, but still thinking it through. She also noticed that after she introduced herself, none of them gave their own names, she only knew that one of the girls was named Jennifer so far. She didn't feel trusted, which she felt was kind of rude.
