About the Character
Persona
- Archetype: Self-Sacrificing Leader
- Vocal Frequency: Mid-range and soft
- Ambience: Warm and welcoming
- Quirks: Typically bites her teeth whenever she needs to concentrate. Has a tendency to add a melodic tone when asking for favors or being playful.
- Likes: Being productive, experiencing new food, strawberries, drawing, singing, music, teasing others.
- Dislikes: Being teased, mean without reason, spicy food, bug bites, hot weather.
- Details: When she knows what to do, Sylvie is very straightforward. With her history deeming such a trait necessary, she's quite used to taking the reigns even if it's for a very wobbly carriage. She tends to choose outcomes that benefit individuals other than herself and would rather place herself in the line of fire to protect others. So long as others are safe, she does not mind what becomes of her. As a result, it certainly affects her perspective on the way she makes decisions and how she faces physical combat.
While she seems like the pinnacle of a true self-sacrificing leader, she certainly has her own flaws. Sylvie is quite deceptive, opting to keep what negative feelings she may have as a secret. By bottling it in, there are instances where she may simply burst. These moments range from an unwarranted display of anger towards someone who didn't do anything wrong, to borderline violent actions toward someone. Of course, these are moments that are quite rare and she is well aware of what happens when one bottles it all in. Though that's never stopped her from continuing to do so, as Sylvie doesn't want anybody to worry about her. She must be strong -- that is what she was taught.
Of course, Sylvie typically wears two personalities. One towards strangers where she is fairly polite and removes certain aspects of how she interacts with certain individuals. To those she considers friends, she's notably more open. From teasing with them, to laughing and smiling quite a bit, she's a bundle of joy when she can forget about having to play leader. Though even some of her friends are surprised at how quick she can snap back into being the strong, confident leader she bred herself to be.

Character Appearance
- Hair: Long, light purple hair.
- Eyes: Sharp eyes colored like an amethyst.
- Physique: Slim, athletic, and standing at an impressive 5'3"
- Nose: The nose of her bridge is small with a pointed tip. Her nose is pointed neither up, or down, simply in between.
- Lips: Small in width, her lips are a little full.
- Attire: Sylvie's clothing ranges from casual attire to much more formal wear. She typically wears a cute little white dress with a black underskirt accompanied with black tights and a pair of Mary-Jane styled platforms. Her formal attire is a contrast to her much more feminine casual clothing choice, as it typically consists of a pair of white slim pants, black knee-high boots, and a blue two-tailed coat with silver embellishments. Her long hair is also typically done in a low ponytail with her formal appearance. It's also been joked around the castle that the blue was a lovely match to the slight cold one might feel when she feels extra-formal. However, in combat she dons her battle armor, consisting of a light purple dress with black accents and paired with purple stockings. Black and silver armor lay above the dress as well.

Character Ability - Auroral Canvas
Magicks in the world of La'Ria revolved quite heavily around the elements. Conjurers of these magicks, deviated from two different schools -- the Purists and the Idealists. The Purist and Idealist societies were eessentiallycreated for those who preferred to practice one element, or delve into practicing a variety of elements. Sylvie fell into the latter practice, mastering a beautiful mix of Light and Water, otherwise known as the Auroral Canvas. It was an art often used for entertainment, masking its strong utility in combat. While Water was one of the primary elements, Sylvie often practiced the colder side of the element, and preferred the solid state of water much more than its liquid form. Ever since she obtained her keyblade, she has learned that she cannot amplify and utilize the power of water alongside it. Interestingly enough, because it is naturally attuned to the light, she has trouble channeling water to enchant the weapon and only uses light.
- Enchantment - Empower
This is a fairly simple ability. Using the elements of water and light, she can imbue her weapon with either one of them, or even both of them as needed. The shape and form that the enchantment creates upon her weapon varies between the two elements she controls.
The water element wouldn't do much on its own -- simply wetting the blade and making rather annoying splashes everywhere. Knowing this, Sylvie attuned the water with something a bit more frigid. Granting her blade a serrated edge made out of ice for a vicious attack. She may also extend the reach of her weapon up to twice its overall length. Half of the extension is likely to snap off if struck with enough force from another sharp object clashing with it.
Since light doesn't take any truly solid form, its effects on her sword are a bit different. The light extends the reach of her weapon by thrice its blade's length, providing formidable reach and a flexible weapon in the form of a whip. Unfortunately the weapon does work a little awkwardly in close spaces and isn't the most suitable weapon of choice against an opponent that can weave between whip strikes. Since her Keyblade is a natural medium for light, the enchantment lasts slightly longer.

Cooldown: 2 Posts - Enchantment - Wave
A very simply and very basic technique from her school. Once a weapon is imbued with energies, she can discharge waves of energy as she so desired. Pending on the element that she uses, this ability has a different effect on the wave that is discharged.
The water element has various uses. Its liquid form has little use other than to douse flames or bug people by making them wet. If Sylvie adds a bit of ice to the mix, however, the element shifts from a harmless wave and into a more offensive one. When swung, she releases an arc about thrice the length of her sword. The wave takes the shape of a half-moon and would leave a decent cut if it isn't dodged. If it's blocked it has a decent amount of pushing power and an average person would either stagger or be pushed back slightly. These waves travel for about twenty feet before gradually crashing into the ground.
Because it's not really a solid element, light is discharged as a wave of offensive energy. Arcing the same way and roughly the same size as its water-based variant, this spell prefers to deal its damage in a different way. While lacking the pushing and cutting power, it prefers to deal its damage and weaken whatever it hits with raw energy. The effects of this may vary depending on what it strikes -- from burns on the skin, horrifyingly wounding something with low resistance to light, or lightly damaging enchanted armor. These light waves travel for about twenty five feet before gradually crashing into the ground.

Because magic from La'Ria runs one's spiritual life force as a means of energy, enchanting a weapon places a strong bond between the caster and the object. As such, if the caster is far from the enchanted object, it will fly back to them. This allows her to throw her weapon forward and quickly recall it. Also applies to shields!

This particular ability allows Sylvie the ability to create illusions. By manipulating the visible light within a room, she can craft phantoms of various things. From a phantom of an old man, to a basket of fruits, the only thing that limits her from truly creating anything is that she's limited to creating things that she has seen in-person. In the end, these illusions are just that -- manipulated light. They aren't solid nor do they hurt -- they're simply deceptive things. See that chair? Better make sure it's real before you blindly sit down on it!
Additionally, the complexity of the illusion she wants to craft is also a factor as well. She could make couple smaller, moving illusion about the size of your average human. Anything bigger, however, limits her to just one of those hulking mirages. For immobile variants, she could make numerous objects and illusions with them. From a couple dozen stuffed animals to a small house, she's primarily limited with the same limitation that her mobile illusions are -- she cannot create illusions beyond roughly forty feet of where she is standing.
A secondary use she typically uses this art for is to create a floating ball of light to illuminate the darkness on those dark and stormy nights.

Now this ability is something that's considerably more vanity rather than an actual offensive ability. In La'Ria, the element of light is one of the strongest mediums when connecting things together as it used part of what they considered one's 'soul' as part of the fuel in order to utilize the element. As such, imbuing her entire wardrobe with the magical light energies allowed her to link her soul with that particular location. This gave her direct access to it, opening a portal out of light, and granting her the ability to grab anything out of it. This way she could pull any clothes she owned out. Though she could certainly throw someone in there -- but that might not be the best idea. While she could freely take things in and out, she cannot bring her entire body through the portal. She can toggle this ability on and off and she tends to use it quite a bit whenever she needs new clothes. - Auroral Paintbrush
The Auroral Paintbrush is the cornerstone of this school of magick. Her arms become the conduits for channeling energies, becoming her weapons. With this, Sylvie's masterful performance of the art can finally be seen. Conjuring the elements she so prided herself with, she can create a variety of things for a numerous purposes.- Her focus towards water shifts towards ice and she crafts solid objects. She can create platforms that float in the air or blocks of ice or icicles she could hurl towards enemies. These blocks can be both rectangular or more of a cube, but they will essentially stay the same basic shape. She can't create anything larger than a 8 cubic meter volume. With her present power, she cannot create anything animated or complicated. just yet -- though she's still young and she hasn't reached the limits of her potential. Only three of these objects can exist at a given time and they shatter into harmless snowflakes when the time is up or if they simply get destroyed. This ability doesn't have cooldown but she might feel rather unwell if she uses it too frequently.
Duration: 2 Posts - With this ability, she can only create offensively-oriented magicks with light. Her focus has shifted towards particular forms of attacks with this spell and element. She can fire a trio of fist-sized balls of harmful light energy at her opponents at a time from each palm. Additionally, she may also firing a more powerful fist-sized laser at the her target, though she sacrifices the number of projectiles she may fire. Both of these projectiles share the same range and can only be used one at a time and share the same general cooldown. Additionally, both types of projectiles travel about as fast as a football thrown by your average high school athlete. The primary downside to this ability is that in order for her to utilize the light-aspect, she must discard at least one of her equipped weapons to do so.

Character Weapons:
- Rondo
This is Sylvie's primary weapon. A sword crafted by the swordsmiths of La'Ria, its core is composed of heavily concentrated magical energies with mythril folded over it. This allows her to easily enchant her weapon with her powers. Additionally, with a magical core, she can use this weapon to block, deflect, and potentially slice through some magical barriers or attacks depending on their strength. The sword has a blade length of three feet with a crossguard and handle of one foot. - Sentinel
This shield was passed down from her father and unto her. They say her father had journeyed to the far lands of La'Ria and encountered a rare mystical beast that had lost the shield in a bet to him. The shield is formidable but is certainly prone to be damage to a fierce enough physical blow. However, therein lay the interesting properties of this shield. The shield may get punctured and slashed but after a day it will repair its own damages. Additionally, it has a considerably amount of resistance to magical blows in exchange for its physically frail body. - Castle Guard
A sword-shaped Keyblade that has an axe-shaped head to finish off the typical key-shaped look. A heavy keyblade, it has long-reach and has a strong physical 'oomph' to it. Interestingly, it actually reduces Sylvie's magical power and its weight forces her to discard her shield and hold it with both hands in long fights. - Auroral Thread
Utilizing the Auroral Paintbrush, Sylvie can create tendrils of light from her arms and through her hands. These whip-like threads of energy are about as wide as her fist and extend about six meters. Although light isn't solid, these whips tend to act like a tough pair of whips. Aside from blunt force trauma that whips can inflict, these also tend to leave burns on what it touches unless they have a natural or a magical defense.[/li

Character History:
To understand who Sylvie Clos is, we must first take a look at the world she is from.
La'Ria
This young lady hails from the world of La'Ria. It is a place abundant with aetherflows of different elements. With this, the people who lived there were naturally attuned to them and magic coursed through them from birth. As organized society group, people began honoring and honing their connection with a particular element.
As the Clos family eventually established their rule, a slight division occurred regarding how one communed with the elements. Two different groups, the Idealists and the Purists were created. This division was more of an intellectual thought rather than a violent movement. One could even consider these different philosophical schools with different practices.
The Purists were the first school. They believed in practicing one element. By doing so, they also believed they were giving back to nature by respecting La'Ria. One element and working together with it was almost like a sense of partnership that one would nurture. Requiring only one element also displayed a very selfless nature and they weren't particularly greedy either.
As for the Idealists? They were an ambitious bunch and their motivations rose from understanding more about the world around them. They embraced two elements rather than one. The duality of these were the most their bodies could handle and they utilized this to explore more things in La'Ria.
Sylvie the Little Princess
Born into the royal Lineage, Sylvie was a bright young lady. She was fascinated with the elements at a young age and, like many children in La'Ria, found comfort and warmth in some. Always playing with water and bathing in the sunlight, Sylvie had eventually found herself leaning towards with the Idealist society.
Now she wasn't an only child, she was the older sister to a brother of hers. Born in the same year, they had both grown up together. Sylvas, her brother, had sharply contrasted Sylvie in a variety of ways. While they both excelled in school, her brother often sought the security of secluding himself in his studies. Sylvas was definitely more attuned to the nighttime than his sister.
Between these siblings a rift between them had eventually grown. Sylvas had become a Purist of the darkness, leaving at a young age to study and understand more about it with the Purists. Sylvie had focused her studies to understanding the elements of ice and the light.
Years had passed before the two siblings would finally reunite. However, it was not the reunion one might have expected. Called out to her brothers' study when night was at its darkest, Sylvie thought nothing of it. When she entered however, she was swallowed by the darkness and fainted.
Sylvie, upon waking up, had found herself in a pitch black space with her brother standing a ways away with his back to her. When he turned, she was suddenly surrounded by strange creatures with glowing dark eyes. As they swarmed over her, she could hear her brother's voice. He told her he had truly understood what darkness was and had embraced those he called Heartless.
When all hope seemed lost, she felt her body guided forward. With a swift cleave through the darkness, she found herself back in the study with her brother nowhere to be seen and a strange key-shaped weapon in her hand. A veil of darkness seemed to descend upon the land and the once-bright and shining land of La'Ria suddenly seemed to take on a very gloomy tone.
While they were never had to fight any wars, the people of La'Ria understood that conflict might arise at some point. They had honed their studies in the elements and physical martial arts, ever vigilant against any unknown happenings that may happen. The day that they would use these practiced abilities would arrive, for an age of darkness had arrived upon La'Rie.
Fighting broke out on the borders as hordes of Heartless seemed to spawn. They traveled in hordes as the land outside the castle gate had eventually appeared to be a massive writhing horde. Were it not for the magical energies that protected the castle walls, hope certainly would have been lost.
Sylvie, now battle-hardened with several encounters of the more powerful heartless that broke through, had frequently lead expeditions outside the castle walls to quell their numbers. However, she had found her unit routed and she stood face-to-face with a heartless they had dubbed as Darkside. Blinded with passionate fury to avenge her fallen comrades, and surrounded by the hordes of darkness, she confronted the massive heartless before her.
Though she could only do so much.
Swallowed by darkness once again, she was saved by the strange key-shaped blade that had saved her life before. This time, however, she had come to in a strange town. No longer did she stand on the fields of battle surrounded by heartless. No longer did she see the majestic castle of her kingdom standing behind her, a beacon of hope for La'Ria. Instead she found herself reading a sign that said "Welcome to Traverse Town."

Writing Portion
She stood within her brother's study, the door closing gently behind her. Her eyes wandered about saw nothing but piles of books that lay haphazardly about the room. Suddenly a wave of darkness enveloped her and everything turned to black nothingness. Her strength waned and her consciousness soon faded.
When she came to, she could feel that she was standing on some sort of floor. Though with everything being completely dark, save for her body that appeared to be visible as if it was still in the study, it was quite disorienting for her. As she stood on her feet, she collected herself and looked around. She found her brother standing before her, clad in a dark cloak with his back to her.
"Brother!" She called out, her voice echoing in the void. Her hand rose, and she attempted to move her feet forward. Though try as she may, it was as if something was keeping her in place -- a strange force that kept her feet planted to the ground. Before she could speak another word, he turned to face her.
"Sylvie, ever the bright and shining child of our family." He mused, his face curling into a smile as he brought an arm up, pointing it to her. Small black creatures rose from the darkness around her, twitching and moving in strange ways. "I'm rather glad I was left to my own devices. I've met these new friends, you see, and they're rather Heartless."
The creatures swarmed atop Sylvie, forcing her to the ground and piling on top of her. Her vision began to fade as she felt herself being consumed by the darkness, unable to fight back.
