About the Character
Character Personality ): Though Reno is technically named Nero, he is a Nero from a separate timeline, one where Nero's world was not destroyed. He is technically the same person, but Reno has been through many experiences that changed him from Nero. Reno is ridiculously smart, having made his own gadgets and even a prosthetic leg for himself after losing his . Never one to take anything seriously, Reno is quite an easy going person despite his profession and morality. Confidence is a big factor in the man's demeanor, as he sees everything that could be a potential challenge as a joke, not worried about the consequences. Reno is one who laughs in the face of danger, not bothering himself with the well-being of others, even if they have put their trust into him. He's a bit of a show-off and loves to make everything extremely drawn-out and as showman like as possible. He usually speaks in the same chipper tone of voice, no matter what situation is going on around him. Reno often gets mistaken for a friendly guy due to his mannerisms, but does in fact prefer to be alone. He has a very limited moral code, with his only real rule for himself is to never take part in anything that wont benefit him. Reno is also one who gets a rush from danger, sometimes pulling off ridiculous heists for no other reason besides to cure himself of boredom. Fighting others with as much power or more than he has is also a big favorite of his, as he loves someone who can provide him a decent challenge. When it comes to his body language, Reno is normally seen either shrugging and leaning back with his hands shoved into his pockets, matching his laid-back way of thinking.
Reno is a bit of a smooth talker, as he has easily talked his way out of even the toughest of situations. Whatever Reno wants, he takes. He has no care about how his actions affect others. Being an expert thief and mercenary, he's a bit full of himself, often giving himself titles before his name. With every person he meets, he seems to add another false title before his name. When it comes to conflict, Reno will usually make a mediocre attempt to avoid it. He often keeps to himself, even going as far as to give others a fake name if he has to (even though the name he goes by is already fake.) Reno is also pretty suave, usually using flattery or other means of deception to get what he wants.
All in all, Reno is pretty much the lowest of the low, someone who has very little if anything that they wouldn’t do to make it out on top. Unless someone is paying him for a service, they should have no faith or trust in him. Hell, even if he is getting payed for a service, he’s the type that can find a reason to stab just about anyone in the back, even if they’re undeserving of it. He is also a bit of a nit-picker, often belittling others for the tiniest of things. Breathing a little too heavy? He’ll have at least one insult for it, only one insult being what could be considered “lucky.” Though, if one ever has the funds to spare and isn’t someone that Reno would label as “a waste of space,” he is a rather decent ally. While he may not be kind or caring, he takes pride in the fact that he gets the job done.
Character Appearance (Please include such things as height, hair color, eye color, body type, clothing, weight, etc. You need to actually write a description. You may include a picture for reference. Must be at least 5 sentences): Being the same person, Reno obviously looks a lot like Nero, just a bit older. Reno's hair is a dark brown, reaching to the back of his neck in the back, the ends of it spiked up a bit. His bangs hang down to his lower cheek and are parted to the right, being pushed out of the way of his right eye. His hair is usually a bit of a mess, but never looks sloppy, just like he styles it that way. Reno is about 6'4, weighing about 170lbs of lean muscle, making his build look extremely fit and athletic. Reno shares Nero's strong eyebrows and defined jaw-line. On his cheeks, Reno has slight remnants of his freckles. As for facial hair, Reno only has side-burns and chin-hugging small beard. When not using his powers, Reno's eye color is dark teal. When using his powers, Reno's eyes glow a vibrant light blue, just as his lightning does. Reno has a few outfits. When wanting to conceal his metal leg, Reno will some times just wear a boot over it. Normally, he'll do this when meeting clients the first time, as very few people are willing to hire a mercenary with one leg. For all of Reno's attire, there is all sorts of gadgets attached to his belt. He also has a metal foot attachment for his leg that he can usually bee seen wearing outside of combat.
Normal Attire: Reno wears a wool black turtle neck with creme colored sleeves. The same creme coloring is on the turtle neck portion of the sweater and lining the bottom of the sweater. On his upper left arm, he wears a black leather band that has a MP3 player bound to it. Over his sweater, Reno wears a black leather hooded vest with a popped collar on it. Around his neck, Reno has a pair of teal studio headphones that have a silhouette of a black wolf-like dog howling in front of a pure white full moon on the outer end of ear ear piece. If one looks closely, they’ll see that the animal appears to wearing a teal bandanna hanging around it’s neck. This symbol is many places on Reno, including the back of his vest, printed on the leather band on his arm and his sliver belt buckle. Reno wears loose black jeans with his two dagger handles hanging off of his belt at each side. On the backside of his jeans, there are two pistol holsters that hang from his belt. He wears a black leather cuff watch on his right wrist that has bold black numeric symbols in front of a teal watch face. Completing the outfit, Reno wears black, metal boots on his feet with various straps and silver buckles adorning them.
Heist Attire: When on a planned attempt to steal something off someone or when hired to do so, Reno prepares himself. A dark blue, skin tight hooded jacket with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. The jacket is zipped down to his chest, exposing it a bit. The hood and rolled up cuffs of the jacket are black. He wears gray jeans with a pocket on each side of them. He has the two pouches hanging off of his belt as he does in his usual attire, as well as the satchel and watch. Reno wears black leather gloves on his hands, the gloves having the same symbol as his belt buckle on the center of them. He wears black combat boots with thick white soles, usually wearing one over his false leg when on a heist as well, as it tends to make less noise when walking across certain terrains. On his face, Reno has a rather nice looking masquerade mask, one that is a fine metallic dark blue in color with the occasional splash of black in various regal-looking patterns on it.
Mercenary Attire: If hired for a mercenary job, Reno never likes to seem unprepared. Reno wears a skin-tight dual-zippered black leather hooded jacket with a black tank-top underneath. The jacket is only zipped in the middle of his torso, showing a bit of his chest on the top half of it and his belt buckle and a bit of his undershirt on the bottom half of it. Over the hooded jacket, Reno wears a dark blue trench coat that reaches about an inch past his knees. The coat has metal buttons going down along the right side of it until they reach his waist and looks to have a bit of a blazer-ish look on the top half of the coat.. On the shoulders of the coat, Reno has the same symbol as his belt buckle sewn into them. The sleeves of the coat are rolled up to his elbows and have their black cuffs exposed. Around his right wrist, Reno wears a black leather cuff watch, it has black numeric symbols with a teal watch face behind them. Reno has finger-less black leather gloves on his hands, the gloves bearing the same symbol as most of his attire on the center of them. His jeans are the same color of his coat, having a circular black leather strap on his left leg. His two sword handles can be seen on the strap. His jeans are tucked into shin-high black combat boots with thick gray soles. Around his neck, Reno has a large pair of teal studio headphones. The headphones have thick black ear cushions and have his trademark symbol on the outer-edge of each headphone.
Battle Statistics
Character Position (Hero/Neutral/Villain):He's probably closer to a villain, but he's mainly just selfish.
Character Abilities (Maximum of 15 abilities allowed - please write your abilities in list form, starting with name & description): A few of Reno’s abilities can make him preform a bit better, but at the cost of not being able to use any ability that requires heavy use of his energy. They will be marked with a ‘*’
Fighting Stance: After training himself with his new found abilities, Reno has made his own unique fighting style. Keeping himself low to the ground, Reno slowly spins his cane in his right hand, making this stance look quite odd. Though it looks weird, it allows him to move exceedingly quick and strike with precision. Despite trying to teach himself a completely original fighting style, Reno retains a bit of his old moves he learned under his mentor.(passive)
Acrobatic Master- Reno is quite agile and slick, being able to move quick while walking on wires and easily able to shift his body weight around. His arrogance shows in the way he moves, often performing flashy dodges by using his surroundings. Whether it's climbing, balancing himself or dodging an attack, Reno has something up his sleeve to keep himself on the move.(passive)
Ricochet Marbles: One of Reno’s favorite tricks involving the use of six ordinary looking thick, metal marbles. Charging them with his electricity, Reno sends them flying, using his magnetic abilities to make them ricochet off of surfaces. Though this ability can be used anywhere due to his magnetic ability, it’s most effective in condensed areas. Alone, a single marble will not harm the target too much, but if they are to get hit multiple times, the affect will increase with each marble that hits. The electrical properties in each metal marble can’t cause any sort of stunning or slowed movement on the target, but if they are hit with at least 3, the target will suffer from lingering damage for a post after the ability. The bigger the environment the ability is used in, the less effective the ability becomes. (Last 3 posts, cool down of 5 posts.)
Electronic Cane: Channeling his electric power through his metal cane, Reno’s cane-based attacks deal electric damage for a short time. Much like his marbles, landing three hits will cause lingering electric damage to the target for one post. (Last 3 posts, cool down of 3 posts)
Grappling Gun Fun: Straight from his gadget belt, Reno can make use of his trusty grappling gun. Separating the the long gun into two pistols, Reno can aim and shoot a line of about 45 feet from each gun, then connect the two guns once again to create a solid line of strong iron rope. Though, he can only use the guns one time before they need to reload, so every shot counts. If his target is hit with one of the shots, they will find themselves connected to whoever or whatever Reno aimed the other gun at. However, the grappling line is not unbreakable, so something strong enough could break the ropes. Though this ability can be useful in areas with a lot of surroundings, it can be pretty useless in more barren places.(Must fire within 2 posts of activation, cool down of 3 posts)
Glider Suit: If up high enough, Reno can make use of another of his many gadgets this one being his custom-made glider suit. Which honestly is more of a backpack-looking gadget more than a suit. After use of if in the air, Reno can make use of his pistols or prosthetic leg’s canon form for some quick aerial antics. Though, He can only maintain altitude for 1 post and the glider suit must recharge for a bit after use, so this gadget is a bit situational, but still useful. (Last one post, cool down of 3 posts.)
*Electric Sword: Putting his two sword handles together, he is able to project a much longer luminescent blue blade than his daggers are in their default form. Due to how much of his electricity he uses to project this long blade, Reno can no longer use any other weapons or abilities that require it, thus disabling his pistols and the use of his leg in canon mode. The blade receives no buff in power, it simply just increases the weapon’s range greatly.(last 3 posts, cool down of 3 posts.)
*Battery Charge: Focusing his energy, Reno is able to power up his electricity-based attacks, making them about twice as strong than they usually are. However, while in this powered-up state, Reno takes about twice as much damage than he usually would from attacks, so it can easily hurt him more than benefit him. (Last 3 posts, cool down 4 posts)
*Headphones On: Slipping on his studio headphones, Reno is able to focus more with the sound of his personal playlist blasting in his ears. When listening to his music, he is more accurate with his ranged attacks. Of course, the downside of this is that he loses all ability to hear outside of his music, meaning attacks out of his line of sight or attacks that are harder to see in general will have a much higher chance of getting solid hits on him. After 2 posts, the battery of his MP3 player must recharge. (Last 2 posts, cool down of 2 posts.)
*Quick Feet: Focusing his electricity to his lower half of his body, Reno is able to move faster and jump a bit higher, but has his electric attacks significantly weakened in the process, forcing him to rely primarily on his non-energy attacks (such as his cane and prosthetic leg form 1.) While the electricity-based attacks are still useable, they are weakened to the point where they could very well not even cause the target to flinch. (Last 3 Posts, cool down 4 posts.)
*Static Shooter: Reno is able to power up the electricity he channels through his pistols, allowing them to pack more of a punch and shoot a bit faster. However, when in use of this ability, Reno is much less accurate, will take double damage from any physical attack and his shots have reduced distance.(Last 3 posts, cool down of 4 posts)
Not in My House: Reaching to his utility belt, Reno flicks out what appears to be a small metal sphere, which then expands into a medium-sized shield. Sliding his arm into it, Reno can use this shield for 2 posts before it weakens to the point where he can’t use. If he manages to block a projectile attack, it will reflect it back at the sender, but Reno will lose access to the shield in return for the reflect. Even a reflected weak projectile will cause the shield to wear out until the cool down is up. (Last 2 posts unless something is reflected, cool down of 3 posts.)
Magnetic Boost: Reno is able to strengthen up his magnetic abilities for a short time, allowing him to get a bit more creative with his use of his weapons. When activated, Reno will be able to use any of his metal weapons as boomerangs, even his blades if in the “Electrical Sword” ability. When in use of this ability, Reno will only take half damage from attacks the use any form of metal (swords, bullets etc.) but will not be immune to them. It should also be noted that Reno can not activate this ability while in use of any ability marked with a ‘*’ excluding Electrical Sword. (Lasts 3 posts, cool down 6 posts.)
Character Weapons (Maximum of 5 weapons allowed – members must have 100 posts before their characters may wield a keyblade): Silver Cane- Though it is the weapon that Reno carries that seems like it wouldn't be useful, this is Reno's weapon of choice. A smooth, sleek four-foot silver cane. It's a cane only in name really, with the hook on the end of it being rather large, it looks almost like a blunt scythe.. Reno has trained rigorously with this cane, mastering it ways to the point of being able to use it outside of combat. Reno can use it to reach places he cant reach and pull objects he gets the cane around back to him.
Eletric Blades: Two seemingly useless gold sword handles. In other's hands, they would be just that, but when Reno's touches them, he can make two blade-shaped bolts of his blue electricity come out of the handles, making two mid-sized daggers.
Cunning and Deception- Reno's twin P99 pistols. Thought they appear to be ordinary guns, Reno has in fact hollowed them out, so the instead fire out his own special breed of luminescent lightning out of the . This allows the two handguns to be both lightweight and not be required to reload. As a bonus use, Reno is able to use the two handguns as dual boomerangs, using his magnetic abilities to direct them back to his hands after being thrown.
Prosthetic leg- From his right calf down to his foot, Reno has a metal slab of his own design instead of a biological leg. The leg has a strange design, one that looks almost peg-leg-ish at first glance. Upon closer look, on will see all of the complex switches and mechanisms on it, making quite useful in combat. It has two combat modes. When in the default leg, Reno can attach his cane to the end of his leg, but it can't really be used as a method of attack on it's own.
Form One: A simple flick of the switch on the side of the leg leads to a quick shifting motion in the gears of his fake leg, revealing a chainsaw-like blade on his right foot. Though this leg-form is powerful, it weighs Reno down a bit, slowing down his movement speed, agility, and acrobatic skills, which are some of his most prominent strengths. Of course, what it sacrifices in speed, it makes up for in it's power, being his leg form of choice when battling stronger or armor-clad foes.
Form Two: A pull of a lever on his leg and it shifts forms once again, this time taking the form of a a small cannon. If switched to this mode of his leg when in his first form, the chainsaw blade will be launched out of his leg before the transformation. The cannon shoots out miniature metal needles that have Reno's electricity channeled through them. Once every three post, Reno is able to shoot a large bundle of needles at once, which has enough force to get Reno off of the ground. If using his Glide Suit ability, he can gain a lot of speed from the recoil of the blast.
Character Summons (Optional field – no canon summons allowed – maximum of 2 allowed and maximum of 2 abilities each allowed):
Character Racial Ability (Optional - Your character may have ONE passive ability that seems to have an abnormal affect due to being a particular race. Merfolk can breathe underwater, Lava creatures are immune to fire, that sort of thing): Due to his powers, touching any sort of electricity can help him heal himself if injured. Of course, for fast healing results, he'd need a pretty big source of electricity, so there is a bit of a drawback
Character Strengths (1 required):Quick, acrobatic, clever and deceptive.
Character Weaknesses (1 required):Over confident, missing part of his foot, relies heavily on gadgets and can lose access to some of his weapons if using certain abilities..
Character History (Minimum of 10 sentences required.): Reno had the exact same upbringing as Nero for his childhood years, but that’s to be expected when you’re actually the same person. Growing up, Reno had the same family members, same problem of being a weakling, same traumatic loss of his father, all of it. In fact, Reno’s path didn’t start to differentiate from Nero’s until he had been under Trojia’s wing for a good while. The makeshift team of Trojia, Nero and Koji went on many journeys together, pretty much all of them being life-endangering at some point during. Over time, Nero would continue to try to piece together just what secret his father’s ring could possibly hold, eventually finding an answer that didn’t sit right with him.
Upon further research of his father’s ring, Nero discovered that his father’s story of discovering it in an amazonian temple with Trojia really didn’t check out, as the symbols and engravings on the ring didn’t match anything from that region of his world. After further digging around, Nero discovered his father had actually stolen the ring from some sort of cult that seemed to believe it was the key to unlocking some hidden treasure. Nero wasn’t exactly sure what to think, as he had based all of his morals on the things his father told him, but he had just been a glorified thief all along. Giving the ring to his mentor, Nero went off on his own to distance himself from his upbringing, even going as far as going by a different name. Leaving his home town was one of the biggest changes that formed Reno the way he is now, as he took on jobs that he would have never taken under his old morals. Thievery, mercenary work, black market trades and pretty much any thing that payed well.
Though, he was still a bit of a history buff and artifact fanatic, so it was hard to keep himself away from plundering temples on the side. Though, his motivations for artifact hunting had completely shifted, as he only cared about the amount of money he made off them rather than the era an item was from or who put it there. Throughout the years, Reno has been in all sorts of perils, but nothing has yet to damper the man’s spirit. Even losing a portion of his leg when it got caught in a closing chamber door wasn’t enough to scare this man away from his favorite past time. Though he had stolen the goods from many temples, one of the ruins in particular sticks out to him to this day. After making his way to the main chamber of the tomb he was raiding, Reno couldn’t help but notice the odd luminescent liquid flow through the sides of the room. Wanting to collect a sample of this liquid to see if it was in any way valuable, Reno attempted to fill his canteen with it, but got a bit too close and ended up falling into the shallow pool of strange liquid. He was able to get out rather quick, but not without an odd side-effect. Aside from his entire body tingling, his hands appeared to be sparking with electricity. Grabbing whatever loot he could, he left the tomb as quick as he could manage, especially with the odd notion that every piece of metal he touched from the treasure pile seemed to be sticking to him.
After leaving with the treasure he acquired, Reno was a bit worried about himself, as his hand hadn’t stopped sparking. After getting in an argument with the client that had arranged his travel arrangements for his outing, Reno was just about ready to screw this guy over in his usual way, but was instead double crossed himself, his client about to get away with a massive payload that Reno had earned. Being held at gun point and furious, Reno was both relived and scared to see a jolt of lightning shoot out of his hands and nail the client in the back of the head, knocking him out cold. Wasting no time, Reno aimed his hand at the men surrounding, jolting them with a quick shot of lightning as he had the first man.
Though he was a bit concerned with what had shot out of his hand, he was also incredibly intrigued. If he were able to control this odd occurrence, this would a tremendous addition to his arsenal of tools. Experimenting with his powers, Reno discovered he also had a bit of influence on metal objects, like a magnet, so he began designing weapons around these strange abilities. He was already a pretty well-known gun for hire before he had gained this abilities, so this only helped his rep. In fact, he got so recognized that a rich crime lord hired him to steal on odd priceless artifact from a well guarded museum. Naturally, the challenge that this would provide only excited Reno for the job more. After making his way to artifact with relative ease, Reno used his usual strategy of grab it and go, taking the artifact back to his office instead of delivering it to his client like he was payed to do.
Upon closer inspection of the strange dial-like artifact he had stolen, it was worth much, much more than he was getting paid, so he decided he was screwing this guy over, as he usually did. Looking further in to it, this was a dial believed to travel dimensions, at least by the tribe who once protected. Just usual ancient treasure mumbo-jumbo, nothing Reno would take too seriously. Though while he was tampering with the dial while waiting for his buyer to arrive at his office, he must have entered a specific combination of symbols with the dial, as the device began to glow a bright white and light his office with a blinding light. As the light died down and Reno’s vision began to come back, a blurry sign began to come into his sight. Traverse Town is what the sign read, causing Reno to stare in disbelief at the strange dial he had stolen. Wherever he was, it wasn’t his old office, but he wasn’t ready to admit that he had indeed traveled dimensions. Making his way through the town, Reno rented out a small building in the second district in the mean time, making a temporary office until he can figure out where exactly he is. One can recognize his office by the sign hanging off of the building that has his usual symbol that he shares with most of his gear.

The power of the warrior
2. What is most important to you?
Being number one
3. What do you want out of life?

Character Relationships (family, friends, those important to your character):Alfonse Bleu- Once his idol, Reno now separates himself from his father, going so far as to stop wearing his father’s ring and even dropping the “Bleu” from his name.
Koji Bleu- Once his best friend, Reno left Koji under his sister’s care after ending his mentor-pupil relationship with Trojia. Though he’d never admit it to himself, Reno still cares for the old mutt quite a bit, so much so that he designed a symbol to represent his business after the dog.
Nero Bleu-Though he is technically a younger version of himself, Reno has a bit of animosity towards this version of himself. He remembers having the same exact mindset as Nero, one that he sees as idiotic now, so the two have a very different method of thought. That being said, Reno has a bit of a soft spot for Nero, mainly due to the fact that he pretty much was this Nero at one point in his life. Well, that, and the fact that it’s kinda hard for him to hate someone that is just as good-looking as himself That never happens! Though, if there is one thing that absolutely despises about Nero, it’s the fact that he gave Reno the nickname “Nerp.”
Anthony “Troy” Trojia- Despite Reno thinking that Trojia lied to him when he was under his wing as a youngster, Trojia is kind of in the same boat as Nero in Reno’s eyes. He may have done something Reno saw as unforgivable, but he also took his younger self in and treated him as if he was his own. As it stands, Reno couldn’t see himself personally confronting or harming Trojia, but wouldn’t give a damn if the old man dropped dead.
Character Accessories:Headphones-Custom made to cancel out all outside noise and equipped with a custom paint job.
Utility Belt- Always on him, no matter what time of job he is taking. This belt is the trick up his sleeve.
