"I need... to get out of here."
A girl in a black hoody and dark blue shorts stopped pacing for a moment in order to look down and sigh. She looked back up the brilliant lights and colors of the amusement park, seemingly vacant of most people at this hour for whatever strange reason. The sun was barely setting, it was only just turning dark but it would be getting there soon. This seemed like hardly the place for a pretty young girl like this to have such a sad face.
She sat down on the air and a chair formed of brilliant rainbowy but mostly yellow colors and semi-transparent energy underneath to catch her. Sure there might've been benches nearby, but this chair was customized for her to lean back and look up at the sky? The tall rides? It wasn't clear which, but she was just sitting right there in the middle of the wide main path.
Due to the lot being so vacant, anyone who made their presence known whatsoever would probably catch her eye even if they were barely in their peripheral.

The cottage was boring, and the silence was stifling. Without the sounds of animals or people milling about, the cottage Sertera was now inhabiting sounded like a mausoleum, save for her own breathing. She took a moment to stare at the jet black glove that adorned her hand, as well as poke it a couple times. She was met only with more silence. It seemed Glove Doplin, as she had been referring to him in her mind, was still resting. This meant she was still "left to her own devices", whatever her own devices where. Laying in silence was certainly a dull way to pass the time. She wasn't tired at all, having had plenty of time to sleep. She wasn't hungry either. An empty can lay on the floor near the cupboards, sliced neatly at the top by her blade after assuming there was food inside based on the picture of said food. What on earth was there for her to do? Her hand plopped back down to the bed beside her as her head turned toward the door. Behind it lay the unknown, a cornucopia of discoveries and curiosities, just begging to be explored. 'Dangers be damned', she decided internally, and found herself leaping out of the bed to stride toward the door. She scooped up her blade from the wall it was resting against along the way, strapping it in place as she threw open the door and jumped through. She accompanied her movement with a shout of, "ADVENTUUUUURE!"
Only part of the phrase made it out the door with her. To others watching, a doorway appeared well off of the path in the park, through which burst a purple haired girl shouting "-TUUUUURE!", green skirt flared out behind her from her momentum. She would certainly be an interesting sight, with her bandaged torso and black boots, not to mention the strange glove on her left hand or the large, gold hilted blade sticking out behind her. She landed on one foot and kept the other suspended in the air behind her, arms splayed likewise backward in a strange pose as she adjusted to the sudden departure from cozy silence. She stayed in this pose for a couple seconds before slowly lowering her foot, and shooting her hands to her eyes as she began to rub them. "Eagerness... overrode... common sense." she muttered to herself. "Mental note, don't stare directly into magical portals made of light. Eyes closed when travelling from now on." She stopped rubbing and blinked a couple times, finally free from the blindness of her own idiocy. With vision restored, she finally managed to get a good look at her surroundings. Strange contraptions towered above her, piquing her curiosity. The whole place was very colorful, reminding her of many festivals she used to attend. It seemed likely that was exactly what was going on here at the moment. For this same moment, the girl needed to get her bearings. She stood in place and just looked around at the things she had never seen before; the dazzling lights, the moving contraptions, the strange person sitting in a chair made of colors. Sertera's eyes filled with wonderment at each new thing.

The sudden shouting from nearby would coax the sitting girl's attention, seeing as the air was vacant from much else currently. The girl would almost be startled, but it happened from far enough away that she was able to gracefully react instead of something more knee-jerking. Her initial expression seemed confused because she wasn't sure what was being said or who was saying it but it wouldn't take long to identify the source at all.
Another human beaner stood over kind of fixed in the girl's direction with more excitement plastered on her face than you could use at a child's birthday party. JessY stood up, unsure of how to go about the 'intrusion'. Obviously it wouldn't be quiet here but she also didn't expect to be a center for attention, but she might do something. She saw the sword the girl had... An adventurer? JessY sighed. Hopefully they didn't want to fight.
She stood, stared, and awaited the girl's next action. JessY currently looked stoic, maybe a little sad even, but not particularly uninviting. She didn't want to make the first move, but she couldn't afford to lose focus until she knew this girl wasn't going to bother her.

For a festival, the place seemed to have more of a ghost town vibe going on with the lack of people around. Odd, for what appeared to be a celebration. It made Sertera a little sad. One of her favorite parts of festivals was mingling with the common folk, seeing children enjoying themselves, getting smiles from the parents, and occasionally receiving sweets from the old people. It just occurred to her that those elderly folks might be dead, which lowered her mood even more. For that matter, she hadn't seen any of her brothers in the chaos either. Sertera hadn't realized she had left so many unknowns behind her, and they managed to pick now to begin to worry her. It dampened the mood of adventure, but didn't quash it completely. She focused on that, and pushed the depressing emotional surprise attack out of her mind. An audible sigh released from the girl, though with the place's status, no one likely heard. It then occurred to her there was a path that she wasn't standing on. Had the door placed her here, or was she wandering while not paying attention? Her legs didn't feel very used at the moment. She supposed she should actually use them and move to the path nearby, occupied by that lady with the chair.
Now that Sertera looked again, the lady was standing instead of resting in her chair as she was before. She was looking right at the newcomer, most likely because, aside from the attractions further away, Sertera was the only thing of interest to pay attention to. Sertera found herself moving toward the path without any idea what she would say to the lone occupant. The girl payed no mind to the sword on her back, in fact she had forgotten it even existed for the moment. As she neared the stranger, she took a deep breath to steel her nerves. The breath released, she opened her mouth when she drew close enough and finally spoke. "This is the strangest festival I've ever seen. One where there's no one around to enjoy the festivities?" She gestured around with one hand to emphasize, continuing to step toward her audience. "Seems pretty backwards to me. Though, I'll admit, the lack of people isn't the sole reason." She reached a close proximity and stopped, still off of the path, and looked up at the thin structures soaring high into the air. After a short time, she gave a sideways glance back at the lady on the path to pay attention to her reply, should there be one.

Whew, the stranger was friendly. The girl let out an audible sigh of relief. The last thing she needed was to be thrown into a fighting situation that was against something that wasn't entirely mindless. Unfortunately, this situation was still going to require some thought since the visitor was clearly just that: a visitor. They didn't know what was going on, meaning they couldn't be a native to this world. Or was she and this was a weird thing? JessY didn't actually have much experience around this world either.
The young girl shrugged. "I think it's less of a festival and more of a... I don't even know the words myself, but I think it just always looks like this." There was more she wanted to know; more she wanted to ask, however she wasn't sure how this should proceed. Well, if this other girl wasn't from here, perhaps she could travel worlds? In a far less random fashion than JessY's own method of travel managed to be?
"Hey so are you like uh... Umm... new to this world? Or this cluster of worlds? I uh..." Why was she so awkward at crucial times like this? "Looking for... uh... Do you travel a lot?"
While it didn't happen out loud, the girl sighed in her head. 'Nailed it' she thought to herself in a highly sarcastic tone. She expected the worst, to get laughed at and have this girl walk away. Eh, maybe that wasn't the absolute worst, but she truly wanted to believe that hope wasn't lost.

((OOC: Hey, guess who disappeared again? ;~; I'm sooooooo sorry. But, seeing as how this wasn't archived, I figured I'd attempt to pick it right back up, if that's not too much of a bother. Eh heh... heh...))
"It's always... like this?" The girl cocked her head to the side and looked around again. It figured the person she would encounter seemed unfamiliar with this place as well. Asking any other questions would likely prove just as fruitless. Yet, something this stranger said piqued Sertera's attention, and got her thinking. "This... world? Cluster...? Her face adopted a confused look, and then turned to an excited one, then back to confused. She scratched her head, then placed a hand under her chin. "This isn't near Castle Doplin somewhere?" Her expression slowly turned back to excitement as her eyes brightened up. "That means... that.... that... you mean...... I... and the door..." She was giddy with excitement as her hands covered her face, she bobbed up and down rapidly. "I CAN TRAVEL THROUGH WORLDS?!" She blurted out, actively jumping now from excitement.
Sertera began pacing, arms moving around as she began talking to herself rapidly. "This is so cool. That's freaking awesome. I didn't even know I could do that. What does this mean, what are the possibilities. So many, so much to explore. I knew this place looked weird, but I thought I was just in a foreign continent, but an entirely different world makes MUCH more sense. My horizons have expanded, nay, shattered. An infinite stretch of unknown lies before me begging to be discovered, explored, admired, so many verbs. So many verbs and so much to do and nothing in my-" One of her feet caught the other, and she plummeted to the floor. "way..." she spoke muffled, due to the floor pressing against her face. The girl rolled over and shifted to a cross-legged position, rubbing her face before realizing she was still in company. She looked up to the stranger and offered an apologetic smile. "Err, sorry. I got a little, carried away there. I'm still kindof new to this whole, travelling thing, but yes, I seem to be able to travel. Why do you ask?" She remained sitting on the ground, though she was done rubbing her face and instead folded her hands in her lap, still brimming with energy.
