Alma Taschner was not much of a poet, nor was she awake at the time, so her ability to describe the event was limited. The most she got was, "Boom".
When the young Conjurer awoke, she was not in the shuttle she'd fallen asleep in. She was lying face-down in a firm floor of dirt, with the wind flowing freely around her and a great heat coming from somewhere behind. There was a crackling noise, and the air was thick, making it difficult to breathe. Her eyes opened, revealing that there was some sort of night-darkened forest around her, lit partially by an inconsistent orange glow. Like the heat, it was behind her, and she understood what it was, but not why it was there. In an attempt to come to a kneel, she noticed a sharp pain in her leg which convinced her to remain on the ground.
A turn of the head, and she looked back to see the source of the fire. The shuttle she'd taken, a Gummi model designed for frequent transit between Worlds, was no more. Pieces of the discrete gray ship had burst apart and fragmented, now laying strewn about when they weren't sticking out from the side of what few trees were standing in the area. A large majority of its intact mass was situated at the opposite end of the scene, lodged in the dirt and set ablaze, generating the light and heat from what fuel had been in the engine.
Her leg begged her attention, and her eyes searched. There, a short distance away, a tree branch had struck the ground with such a force that it was now stuck, and pointed upward at a minor slant. She reached toward it with an open hand, repeating in a quiet, rushed voice, "Heal, heal," begging the severed plant limb to offer what little energy it had left to her. After some coaxing it conceded, understanding its own predicament and withering away as its energies were sapped away, drifting through the air as a long, bright wisp until it connected with her, granting all the energy she needed. The pain in her leg soon ceased, and though she remained sore, she was able to put it out of her mind, and let her arm rest against the ground as she considered her next step...

"Well well, what have we here? A Hume girl all by her lonesome. Tell me, girl, just how bad is your luck, today?"
A hooded figure walked out of the forest. Two rabbit-like ears protruding from holes in the hood, and a fluffy cotton-ball tail from the posterior.
"I was having such a good nap, too. Then I hear this big 'boom', and I just can't get back to sleep until I figure out who or what caused it. Didja hafta be so loud?"
Removing it's good, the figure stepped around in front of the girl, revealing itself to be a female of a humanoid lagomorphic species.
"Hi, I'm Kyrn. Nice to meet you, though I wish it had been under quieter circumstances."
Kyrn extended her left arm as an offer to help the girl up.

As it turned out, the woman's ears were a bit more than decoration. Upon the removal of the hood, Alma could see that they were firmly attached to their owner's head. Rabbit men, then? Maybe the shuttle hadn't gone too far from home before it came down. In a way, that was a relief. This adventure of hers had so quickly turned sour, and so the option of going home was all too appetizing at the time. She took the stranger's hand and used it to pull herself up so she could support herself on her freshly repaired leg. The limb in question protested the new stress, and she winced it away with all her will. She could put it back together- That, she knew. Pain relief was not one of her skills, unfortunately.
"Kyrn," she repeated the hare's name back, getting a feel for it as she distracted herself. "I'm Alma, and..." She turned her head to get a look at the burning fragments of the shuttle. "Did you see anyone else..? From the ship, I mean." The thought worried her. She hadn't seen anyone other than this bunny-person, and so she hoped that perhaps someone else had. As glad as Alma was to have come out relatively unharmed, she held plenty of concern for the others who were taking the same shuttle. Then again, she couldn't recall anyone else who had taken it.

"I haven't seen anyone besides you. Honestly, I'm surprised that YOU survived. I mean, that was a pretty big boom. I'd doubt that many Humes could survive such a thing. Lucky you, I guess."
Kyrn's ears twitched as she checked for other signs of life in the immediate area. It was a little difficult to hear past the fire, though.
"Tell ya what. Let's get you to someone who can patch you up. Just because I can't see any signs of trauma, doesn't mean that there aren't any. Might even spot some friends along the way. Are you able to stand?"
As Kyrn looked around, her nose twitching a bit from the smell of burning gummi blocks, she still didn't see anyone besides this girl.
"And before you ask, I'm not a rabbit. I'm a Viera."

"Yes, I... Well, mostly." Alma paused herself mid-reply to correct herself. "I can probably walk. Slowly." She stood freely and held her stance, and though her shin so loudly insisted she sit back down, there was no denying that, in a technical sense, she could walk if she so chose. Most of her weight was set upon the leg that hadn't been broken moments before. That was all she needed really, and she considered turning back and investigating the ship. The heat from the fire persuaded her otherwise, reminding her that even with her healing magics, she wouldn't get too far without serious burns. That was assuming nothing fell on her, as well.
She chose not to take that risk, instead sticking close with the not-rabbit-Viera-person. "I'll just follow you, then," she concluded quietly. It was then that she remembered something, and upon turning to the side, she faced the tree limb that she'd sapped to heal herself. It still jutted far from the soil. though it had now stiffened and become gray, with a portion of the end having curled over sharply from the spell. A short limp over, and she pulled it from the earth, taking the curled head of the wooden thing in her hands and using it to help support herself. "We can probably go now," the crippled Conjurer notified Kyrn, returning to her side.

"Tell me, child, how is it that you came to be traveling between the world's?"
Just walking would be boring to Kyrn, so she decided to fill the silence with talk. Not idle chatter, mind you, but talk of important matters.
"It's not every day that a craft made from that strange material crashes down from the sky, after all."
The woods grew thicker as Kyrn walked. Some plants even leaned towards her in places.
"It shouldn't be too long. Maybe an hour or two. Though, bear in mind, I'm not much for conversation."
Her ears twitched as she listened for any other voices or noises.

They set to walking, and Alma was thankful that her ship had fallen in some wilderness. She would have preferred it not go down at all, of course, but it was better than being in one of those towns she'd heard of, with stone and steel everywhere. Here, with the trees and shrubbery so close around her, she was about as comfortable as she could have hoped in her current situation. "I was on my way to... a city?" she tried to explain. The planning period had gone by embarrassingly quickly, and she hadn't quite memorized her destination.
"I think it's called 'Radius Garden'. According to a book I read, there are some resources there I want to take a look at." The memories of her discussion were coming back. The city had libraries and computers, both great sources of information. It was concluded to be the best option of where to begin her studies, and thus the shuttle was called. The mention of travel reminded her that, as good as it was to be in the wilderness still, these plants were not the sort she'd seen before. "So where are we then, exactly?" she asked, unnerved by the sudden thought. It had worked well enough the first time, but she'd never seriously tried to commune with these sorts of flora before. Would they take well to her, or would any attempt be rejected?

"We are in a land where people are almost always fighting. There seem to be all sorts of creatures, and climates, and one can never be too cautious with their coinpurse. There are bandits, heartless, and most combatants have very little technical know-how. Does that answer your questions?"
Kyrn gave an answer that didn't require much thought. She didn't like to think too much about trivial matters. Nor did she care about the goings on of other cultures, for the most part.
"I try to stay away from the major cities, So we will be visiting a military camp. Hopefully, they will take you in. They should also have better answers for you there."

From how it was described, this new place wasn't quite as safe as it had felt. Unlike Wonderland, it must not have had much of a governing party if something so outlandish as banditry was a normal concern. The Viera even went so far as to call them 'heartless' before moving on. There were cities present, supposedly, but Alma doubted they were involved very heavily in keeping the people in check.
"I don't mind staying 'out here', but is going so close to an army a good idea either?" The young Conjurer recalled the stories she'd heard of the Queen's garrisons, and how the occasional daredevil would try getting as close to the walls as they could without getting caught. Most were never seen again. "What if it's seen as trespassing? O-Or worse, they think it's an attack and fight back?" Her voice wavered at the thought of angering any military types by walking too closely. Memories of the garrisons were called up once again.

"Child, you still have much to learn about this world. Everything is not so black and white as it is in some other worlds. The military types here are actually a little nicer."
Viera simply were not meant for city life. There were few plants or trees in the city. This is why the two were heading towards a military camp.
"Even in my world, my kind tend to avoid major Hume settlements. We fear losing our culture. I will not break this rule on a whim."
They were nearing the camp, and Kyrn could see the pennant flags through the trees.

There was assurance that they'd not go near any cities, and it was a relief. Alma was after a city, yes, but it was the only one she'd go out of her way for so long as she had that option. As flags became visible in the distance, she tried to make out some sort of insignia. Nowhere she looked could she find any evidence of the Queen's rule, as there was not a single mark of the four royal Suits to be found. Yet another confirmation that she wasn't in Kans- Er, Wonderland anymore. "Where are we, then?" she asked. Not yet had anyone mentioned just what this place was.
