Seeing that Conrí got a table, and a really good spot as well, Tori didn't say a thing as the waiter approached. Besides, the idea of a challenge did intrigue her enough to see why Neku was so confident about him challenging Jen. Then again, the challenger was the one to impose rules, so it was possible that he had something in mind.
"Either you're the idiot of always, or you have another strategy" she teased him, yet recieved no reaction that seemed to be at the very least annoyed by her comment. Tori looked shocked, "Huh, so you're serious." "Partially, I AM mad..." Neku replied, closing his eyes and crossing his arms, "But I also wanna see if I've improved or not. Y'know, my weakness against magic users and the like?" "So you won't impose a rule?" "I mean, I can and will. But maybe not the usual ones."
Tori chuckled, and looked outside. It had been a while since she'd gone about on top of a Chocobo, particularly her own. It was common for most students or Hunters to have Chocobos of their own, but the colors were the thing that differentiated them. If it wasn't yellow, then it was reward from a Mark. Neku noticed her thinking, and shook her slightly.
"Y'know it's kinda rude for you to be silent in a group of people, right?" he said. "I know. I just kinda remembered that it's been a while since I've taken Pearl out for a ride..." Tori replied.

Conrí noticed that Lucia, Jason and Jen had seated themselves, and Jen had taken Neku up on his offer of a duel. The wolf boy sighed and shook his head, but, it was Tori who voiced her opinion first, saying that the island boy was crazy. The would be king found himself nodding, but, on the inside, a taunting voice or fear rose up that told him he didn't even know himself, so, he had no right to weigh in on this matter.
Tori fell silent after a while, and Conrí turned his attention back to the Chocobo. He wondered what the purpose of the bird was, but then he caught some of Tori's conversation about riding her Chocobo. The would be king tried to imagine himself mounted on such a steed and started laughing out loud. Fenrir even started his version of a snicker in Conrí's head. His eyes met with the waiter, who was bringing their water, and he abruptly stopped. "Sorry. Given how skittish they seemed around me, I thought about how funny my riding one would be."
The waiter placed a glass near him, and whispered in his ear, "Maybe I can interest you in some Chocobo Tenders, then?"
Conrí turned to look at the waiter, and his jaw dropped. His face felt unnaturally cold. "Um..."
The waiter winked and smacked him on the back. "It's a joke, boy."
The would be king composed himself with a sigh. "Oh," he said, chuckling a little, and looked over the menu the waiter handed him. The wolf boy placed his order, and politely handed the menu back. The waiter took it and then circled around the table. Conrí took a drink of his water and looked at Lucia. The thought again occurred to him to ask her for guidance, or, at least, a way to travel, but, he looked back at Tori. Did he have to live up to his duty? Yes, he enjoyed today, slight run-ins with jerks and all, but, he knew he couldn't ignore the call for much longer. He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth and shook his head. He decided to try to figure it out after lunch.

Jason smirked at the waiter's joke before looking through his own menu, pleased by the options he saw. After a moment's thought he settled on a dish, handing the menu back as he ordered. He glanced over at the board again, though at this angle he couldn't see that poster, then over at Tori and Neku. They seemed friendly enough usually, but what kind of secrets did they have?
Jennifer's mood shift had been short lived, quickly returning to her usual bubbly self as she barely glanced at the menu before picking something. That mood was dampened just a little hearing Neku state that he was still mad, but she was afraid she'd somehow make things worse again if she tried again. Falling back to her usual coping methods, she became even more bubbly as she glanced at her sister. "So, see anything you like, Master Lucia?"
Lucia just groaned as she pointed out a dish to the waiter, shifting that pointing over to Jennifer once the menu was gone. "What did I say about using that title? People that don't know about Keyblade rank are going to get the wrong impression." Jennifer just smiled even more and gave an imitation of a salute while still sitting. "Sure thing sis!"

Tori didn't hesistate twice when choosing what to eat, while Neku did have some problems to decide, yet didn't take long whatsoever. They both heard the joke from the waiter, which, by now, was somewhat a custom to the islanders, since there were people that didn't know what Chocobo was, and Conrí just happened to be one. It was a cheerful casualty.
"Master? As in... Keyblade master?" Tori asked, catching up to Jen's comment, "So... You're like Miss Sakura?" "Context, please..." Neku replied, sighing, "They don't know her, Tori..." "Well, I know, but... Urgh, never mind" she shook her head, and looked at Lucia, "Keyblade, huh? ...I guess... I could use some of your help, after all. Can I ask you something, Lucia?"

Conrí looked at Neku, who just seemed unwilling to let things go, and then Jen piped up again in an even more bubbly manner than usual. He noticed Jason eyeing Tori, something that would usually put the wolf boy on edge, but instead, this time, he listened closely to what she was talking about to Lucia. He leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms over his chest. She just unlocks a Keyblade, finds out Lucia is some kind of master, and then decides she can be trusted to help her?
So, now you're seeing what I've been seeing the whole time. Maybe you're not a pup anymore.
The would be king fought of the urge to sigh in disgust. I still don't think you're entirely correct. I'm sure Tori has her reasons.
Probably, but, you have to ask yourself, friend. She took your strongest memory and then starts wielding a Keyblade, and, that doesn't seem a bit...odd to you?
You told me to follow her here.
Because it would force you to answer yourself if you did, now, the time is coming soon.
I know. Conrí thought about rising from the table and excusing himself, but, for one thing, that would surely attract the attention of everyone, and for another thing, he saw the waiter coming with their food, so, instead, he uncrossed his arms, stretched and picked up his fork. Actually, Lucia, there's something...but, I don't know that it's important. He kept his thoughts and aura to himself, but, he wondered if she could still see what was going on with him or not. As he didn't have Sight, the druids never told him what it looked like.
His towering burger, fries, and macaroni and cheese appeared before him and took his mind off of the swirling feeling for a while. "It looks delicious, thank you." Conrí said to the waiter, who bowed in response before serving the others their food.
The wolf boy said with excitement. "I humbly receive!" and began to scoop some of the cheesy pasta on his fork. He noticed the noodles were shaped like Chocobo and grinned a little. As he bit into the food, an explosion of cheese and creaminess filled his mouth. It was a sensation that seemed nostalgic, despite him never eating the dish before. As the pasta slid smoothly down his throat, the wolf boy eyed his burger with an almost vicious intent, and he put his fork down and his hands hovered over the sandwich. Surely...part of you...hurts...
The would be king ignored the chill that crept up his spine with a shrug and bit into his burger with child-like glee. I might be hurting, but, I won't attack anyone without a reason.
You'll have your actual answer on that after lunch...when you finally answer your Keyblade...
Conrí took another bite of his burger, refusing his urge to turn around, because he knew no one would be there. It seemed, though, the voice had come back to haunt him.

Jennifer and Jason both chose to dig in to their food the instant it got there, her's some form of fried rice with a sweet smelling sauce and his a simple shrimp alfredo pasta. Both were listening, but had already decided to stay out of whatever was about to happen.
Lucia closed her eyes and sighed as her steak and potatoes was placed before her, leading to a quick reassuring to the waiter that nothing was wrong with it. To emphasize that fact -and to give her just a moment more to think- she quickly cut off a piece and brought it to her mouth. It was quite good, especially considering her tastes had been skewed somewhat from several months of living in Riley's kingdom with dinner being served by royal chefs each night.
Finally it seemed that she could no longer delay, and so she began to methodically cut up the remainder of her meal as she spoke. "Yes, I am a Keyblade Master. I was given my Mark by my own master, the Goddess of Chaos Lana O'Malley, and succeeded by helping stop the Universal God of Destruction, Null, from achieving his full power and thus destroying the universe itself."
She took another bite, savoring the flavor as she let that sink in, before pointing her fork at Conri. "That plus my Auric Sight is how I know you can use a keyblade. You'll get it eventually." Returning her fork to the plate, she looked back at Tori. "I'm still new at being a Master, but with almost seven years of using a keyblade under my belt I can probably answer whatever question you've got."
How amusing it was to now be the one giving answers, when she had spent most of those years seeking a Master to get them.

Tori smiled, pleased to recieve the answer she wanted. As both her and Neku recieved their food -which was a simple bowl of rice with meat and egg on top for Neku, and a medium-sized cheese, ham and onion empanada for Tori-, Tori made her way through with her questions, no hidden meaning behind them nor any attempts to trick Lucia.
"So, if I were to ask you about my Keyblade... Would you help me find it?" she asked, "I've only been able to use it twice, as far as I remember... But I can't exactly summon it whenever I want..." "Huh? Twice? Don't you mean once?" Neku looked confused, "It was only when you and Mei got separated from us back then, in the Training Grounds. Are you saying that's not the only time you've used it?" "Yeah... It was during one of my runs... A few Heartless decided to show up, and I was bare-handed..." "And you didn't have your sword then?" "No, because I was repairing it from that Antenolla Raid!"

Conrí's mouth suddenly felt dry, and, all the flavor went out of his food, at least it seemed that way. He simply stared at Lucia, even though it felt like the tines of her fork were stabbing into him along with her gaze. He felt cold all over again, and not even the romping Chocobo seemed to be able to warm him with their glee. The wolf boy took a breath and then drank down some of his water, hoping that it might help him regain the ability to taste again. As she lowered her fork, he lowered his gaze to his plate. Half of his meal had disappeared, and, he wasn't so sure he could push through the other half.
The would be king's gaze flicked from his plate to Tori, who was seemingly painting different events to Neku. That, or maybe her memories were jumbled again. Conrí sighed and attempted to eat more of his cheesy nostalgia in a bowl. Maybe it would make him feel better. What he really wanted to do was ask Lucia his own question, but, he didn't want to make a scene. Despite this desire, he also found himself warring with the impulse to answer Tori's question with something he remembered her saying. But, you don't unlock a Keyblade. You answer its call. The wolf boy smirked wryly and shook his head, careful to keep his thought to himself. After all, it was probably the strangeness of what all had happened since he woke up here that was influencing his current mood. Not that I understand it, either. He took another drink of water and watched the Chocobo.
Keyblade... He wondered what Tori was talking about as the whispered voice echoed in his head once more. The would be king managed to finish his meal, though, the taste hadn't quite returned in the way he'd hoped. He politely rose from the table and walked over to Lucia. He pulled out his Munny pouch and held it out to her. "Sorry that it's not the right currency, but, I don't want to not do the right thing." Even his words felt like they were lost in a fog. Conrí was almost certain that Lucia would pick up on his internal strife. Help...please...please help me. He looked down at the Munny pouch in his hand and set it next to Lucia's plate. He'd tried to not force his aura onto her, but, it felt like it exploded from him in a burst of desperation. The wolf boy knew that he couldn't resist it much longer.
Instead of causing more of a scene, he cleared his throat and nodded at Tori and Neku. "I'll find my way to the Training Grounds and wait there. Best of luck to the combatants," he said with a chuckle. "Oh, and thanks for the lunch and the nice time with friends." Conrí bowed to the waiter slightly and asked him for directions to the Training Grounds when he was a few steps away from the table. He waved at everyone as he left.
The Chocobo still shied away from him when he exited the restaurant, but, he barely noticed, as he was too busy remembering the directions the waiter gave to him. Since he was outside, he decided to bring out Fenrir again, because, despite having a group of friends, he still felt detached and alone. His hand unconsciously clenched into a fist from time to time as he walked, and, he was relieved to finally see the Training Grounds. He found the place empty, so, he selected a spot near the center of the seats, so that he could watch Neku's and Jen's fight.

Lucia continued eating as TOri and Neku debated events. She hadn't been here, so she had no way of knowing. Once they paused for a moment she looked over again and cleared her throat before answering. "I didn't notice that you could use one as well, Tori, though that might be because your aura is rather unique. As for summoning your keyblade," she paused for a moment to take a drink, "If it's already chosen you then you've probably already gone through a Dive to the Heart, so I can't help you 'find' it. I do have some ideas to help you learn to summon it reliably, but Jason would be helping you with that, not me."
Jason nearly spat out his drink as he was suddenly included in the conversation. "Are you saying what I think you're saying?"
"Yeah, I am. Easiest way is to recreate the situation, right?"
He shook his head lightly with a small sigh before turning to Tori. "I can help you, but it's going to have to be done somewhere away from anyone else, and you're not going to like it much. All I can say is that your life will not be in danger."
While this was happening Lucia finished eating while watching Conri walk out the door. She hadn't seen anyone in that sort of state in some time, and she suspected he was nearing his Dive. Grabbing his munny pouch, she stood to follow him, glancing back at Jennifer and Jason before leaving earshot. "Take care of the bill you two. I'll meet up with you later." Jen nodded brightly, not catching the mood at all. "Yep! See you at wherever this place is. I'll be following Neku so I don't get lost."
She followed him all the way to the Training Grounds, the act made easy thanks to Fenrir appearing shortly after leaving the tavern. She hung back slightly until he sat near the middle, then softly joined him. She didn't say anything at first, but once she chose her words they came with a comforting tone, almost motherly. "Sometimes we all need a little help. I can help you on your Dive, if you let me."

Tori looked dissapointed, seeing that the answers she recieved were not the ones she wanted. But she couldn't say much since Lucia left the tavern in pursuit of Conrí. The argument she had with Neku quickly faded away, since Neku had gotten the answer he was looking for.
"I'm cool" she told Jason, "I was trying to see something, but... I guess asking Lucia didn0t exactly go in my favor. Sorry 'bout that." "What were you going to do?" Neku asked Jason, "I'm curious." "Oh god... Here we go again..." Tori groaned amused, seeing Neku's curiosity. "You knock it off" Neku simply shoved Tori aside, and ate a bit more as he glanced at Jason.

Conrí closed his eyes and tried to focus his breathing, like the druids had taught him. After all, meditation usually fixed the problem in the past. His mind wandered back to the restaurant, and really wondered if he caused a scene. Breath in. The thought switched to whatever was going on with him lately. Breath out. The weight that came with the thoughts started to slip off, and, it wasn't until Fenrir seated himself on the wolf boy's feet that Conrí felt truly centered. He slowly felt connected with some kind of spirit realm, but, it wasn't like his Tir Tairngire. He didn't push on the connection too much, because he felt a presence. Breath in. Had Lucia heard his plea? Breath out.
The would be king opened his eyes slowly. Sure enough, Lucia had seated herself next to him. "What about Tori?" He nearly spit the words out, though, not that he meant to. All Lucia had done was sit down -- it's not like she deserved any of his tumbling anger. The wolf boy brought his knees up to his chin and stared out to the Training Grounds. Sigh out. "Sorry..."
As Lucia spoke, Conrí nodded, noting the tears slipping down his cheeks. "Please. Help. I'm not expecting you to have all the answers, but, I feel like Tori used me," his voice dropped to a whisper, and Fenrir whined, "And, now, I'm confused. In any case, I know I can't do this alone." The would be king took a moment to explain how he met Tori in Twilight Town and what happened, including the weird memory thing. He then held out his hand to Lucia. "What now?"

Jason ran his hand through his hair, secretly relieved that he didn't have to go through with it. Still, he had a feeling that Neku wouldn't let this slide, so he had no choice but to explain. "I want to say first that I would really appreciate it if you didn't freak out about this." He paused for a moment before dropping his voice, hoping to keep anyone from overhearing. "Tori already knows, but I control Darkness. Some years ago I spent some time capturing Heartless and seeing if I could tame them, keep them from attacking people and worlds. I succeeded with a small number, and sometimes summon them to help out. So if you got your keyblade when fighting Heartless, then fighting my tame ones would likely allow you to summon it again."
Seeing how nervous Jason was, Jennifer tried to change the topic by bounding to her feet and pointing at Neku. "Alright, enough stalling. You challenged me to a duel, so let's go duel!" Her arms crossed over her chest as she smirked tauntingly. "Unless you're afraid of being beaten by a girl~"
Meanwhile Lucia listened to Conri's story, her suspicions slowly cementing themselves as truth as he continued. "I know that mansion, and that room. Namine, the Nobody of Princess Kairi, is the one that drew those images. She had power over memories, so Tori's own power must have resonated with some remnant of magic. I knew her aura didn't look human!"
She looked at him with sympathy as he offered her his hand, not taking it just yet. "If she can't control her powers, it's likely that what she did wasn't intentional. She may even have used them on herself accidentally. I may be able to help you, at least. I can assist you with a Dive to the Heart, something that most keyblade wielders undergo just before or after gaining their blade. Once there we may be able to sort through the memories and find the alterations, but there are no guarantees. You will be able to use your keyblade afterward however."

After hearing Jen's comment about stalling, Neku quickly jerked up, bitter, almost tossing his bowl to the ground. Tori, with a quick move, managed to grab it before it even got to the floor as Neku became offended by the girl's comment.
"Stalling?! YOU'RE the one who wanted to eat!" he stated back, bitter, "Besides, how am I supposed to be scared of a girl? I bet you're not as scary as Tori when she's serious! Heck, you can't be worse than Ashe when she's scolding us!" "You're going too far now..." Tori sighed, and then looked at the group, "So? We just pay and leave?" she asks. "I'm cool. We all agreed on paying our stuff, but... Conrí went on and left, right? Should we pay for him?" "Geh, why not? I'm not going to improve my sword for the time being..." "So you won't give it a name yet... Great..." "Knock it off, you!"
Neku laughed, and simply left the gil inside the finished bowl, plus a little extra for the waiter. Tori did the same thing, and waited for the rest to pay. As for Conrí's plate, Tori didn't know exactly how much it was, but, just in case -since she assumed that it wasn't that much, anyways, despite the ammount of food he got- she left a note meant for the waiter. It looked like random scribbles to anyone who didn't know that specific written language, but most people at Sakura Island knew how it was read.
"Hmm?" Neku noticed her scribbling the note, "'Add it to my bill'?" "I don't know how much it is, so I'd rather just have them write it down so that I can pay it later" Tori replied, "It's not the first time I've done this. Heck, I've even done a few Hunts for the owner of the place." "It just opened though!" "I know. But I know the guy who decided to open the shop to begin with!"

Post by Conrí on Aug 21, 2018 17:09:36 GMT -5
Conrí looked over the Training Grounds and heard Lucia’s words about Tori and her aura. He tried to remember back to when he first met her in Twilight Town. Like a spark, “her” face came into focus, and, with some shock, the wolf boy realised what he thought was a memory of Tori was of someone else. His outstretched hand began to tremble.
Something came over him. It was finally time, it seemed. He couldn’t figure Tori out, and Lucia had called him out on his destiny. He tried to think back to why he was so scared the night he’d showed up here. At first, it had felt like home, and then he realised, it really wasn’t. Maybe he really did owe it to Tori to let her figure herself out, but, that still didn’t explain anything about what he’d seen back in Twilight Town from her side. Something in his heart still felt drawn to her, and yet, there was another call he had to answer. Life here seemed fine. She was home. The wolf boy still felt like he couldn’t abandon his duty of finding the 48 other Marks, and he told Neku he would stay around, which he really had intended to do, but…
Conrí looked down at his outstretched hand, and then looked to Lucia. Those three were strong. At least Lucia could also wield a Keyblade. The thought of training seriously with her crossed his mind again, but, all the thoughts seemed to jumble and twist down into a deep, dark void in his heart. Once again, he was failing to make a decision about his life. He remembered his da scolding him for it, then his world fell, and, finally, he couldn’t help Tori. Not that she cares right now.
That’s right, come into the dark further. Right as the voice came up in his mind, he touched Lucia’s hand and squeezed it.
The would be king looked around him, only to see the Training Grounds and blurring and disappearing into a void of black. He felt his whole body trembling to the point that he felt himself fall forward. Instead of hitting the dirt, Conrí’s body floated through the air for a moment, and then he saw that he was falling toward a stained glass floor with a picture of him and Fenrir. He was wearing his druid cloak, and Fenrir was behind him and surrounding him with his body. Fenrir’s head rested on Conrí’s shoulder. The wolf boy landed on his feet with a soft thunk. He looked around, bewildered. In front of him was a snarling red wolf that had a scar over its left eye. The wolf growled and stalked toward Conrí, who instinctively knelt down and lowered his head.
Keyblade...Like you could really wield one...you can’t even become my heir properly.
The wolf boy crumpled his hand into a fist. Hot tears formed at the edges of his eyes. “Father, I didn’t know. I was young. At least, you are alive.”
The wolf let out a breathy cough, almost like it was laughing at him. Alive? How would you know if I was or not? Come home and see. Tori and Lucia both appeared next to Conrí. Lucia put her hand on his shoulder, and Tori sighed in disgust. “You weren’t even strong enough to protect me, and, you say we’re connected? Or, no, if this is your heart, then you really think we’re destined?” The would be king closed his eyes and started to growl lowly.
“You are no failure.” Lucia’s voice pierced through the darkness behind his eyes.
Conrí nodded and rose to face the wolf. "She's right. I am no failure, and I'm done with apologising to the ghost of you!" Three weapons appeared on the ground in front of the wolf, who sat down and stared at the would be king. There was a sword, shield and wand. The wolf boy was familiar with the setting. He walked toward the weapon he was drawn to, which was the sword. When he was asked to give up a weapon, he elected to keep the wand. The would be king looked at the wolf, and for a brief moment, saw his red-bearded father. "Watch over me. Farewell."
Everything felt like it was shifting, and once again, Conrí felt his body falling. He opened his eyes, only to see that everyone but Lucia had gone. You’ve chosen the path of the warrior… The voice entered his mind as he fell toward another platform shrouded in darkness.

Jason rolled his eyes and dropped enough gil to cover everything left and then some on the table before following them out. He had never been one to stiff a bill, and he knew from experience just how hard it could be to get by on a waiter's paycheck.
Jennifer's eyes blazed with blue fire as she started to get fired up again. "Oh, has this Ashe beaten demons and gods? Cause that's a regular thing for me." Most of those fights included several other people, but she neglected to mention that as they walked.
Meanwhile Lucia had gone into a deep trance as Conri grasped her hand, pulling herself along after him as he began his Dive. She landed just behind him softly, quickly taking note of the surroundings and of the only other occupant. Her role was largely to remain silent during this, as it was his strength the trial was meant to test, but once she saw the apparition of Tori she stepped forward, allowing herself to become included as she put her hand on Conri's shoulder in support. "You are no failure."
Her words seemed to give him the push he needed, and she watched with interest as the supposedly classic choice of weapons appeared. Conri made his choice quickly before the platform shattered beneath them, sending both down to the next one. She tried to give him a reassuring smile as they fell, hoping he could still see her.

"Ashe is a White Mage" Tori explained, "And the leader of our Guild. She hasn't told us a lot of stories about her world, so I can't say if she's scary in the sense you're pointing out... But, rather... She's kinda... harsh whenever she scolds Neku or me... Or both... Or even Vaan..." she sighed, remembering all of it. "With Vaan, she's even worse..." Neku said, and then looked at Jen, "While we're heading to the Training Grounds... A few rules, alright? Hoping it's cool with you. So... First: no items. Second: it's a 5 minute match. Anything goes as long as you're not aiming for a kill. 'Cause we all know that neither of us wants to die yet, right?"
As Neku kept talking, the pair led them towards the Training Grounds, past the Chocobo Farms, and past yet another Bulletin Board. If one placed proper attention, they'd notice that they weren't scarse: in fact, they were almost everywhere. Bulletins with Monsters, advertisement, Hunts, and many others.
Again, a bulletin with a picture of who seemed to be Tori was buried underneath a bunch of other Mark bulletins, or even Hunt bulletins, with the "WANTED" letters printed all over them. This time, Tori managed to catch it within a glance, and groaned, tucking her hood a bit lower. Neku also noticed, yet, since he was focused on explaining and guiding Jen and Jason, he didn't have enough time to react in any way or form, and simply kept on going. Tori waited a while before grabbing it in a flash, making it a ball and tucking it into her pocket.
"There's too many of these damned posters..." she muttered, uneasy, "...Guess I'll have to make a run again, huh? He's been pretty much forcing me to..."

The Keyblade took shape and weight in his hand. The wolf king smiled when he noticed the crowned figure of Lugus looking back at him. He nodded, gripped the blade, and turned to face the Shadows, only to have the scene fade and the Training Grounds return with him holding a Keyblade.
You fear indecision. Your path has already been set, but, you can change it. As the voice faded, Conrí sighed, wondering what all had happened in the Dive itself and glanced at Lucia. He let go of her hand. “I guess I am a wielder after all. With questions. If you don’t mind, I want to be trained by you.” Once the words that were said clicked and fully registered, the wolf boy felt a heat come to his cheeks. "Please, Master Lucia." At this more polite request, he bowed slightly.
He wondered what was taking Tori and the others so long, and then he decided to study Lugus a bit more. It sparkled in the sun, and something in him knew this blade was his and his alone. "This is a depiction of Tir Tairngire's light deity. It's said in our legends that the first king of our land was chosen by the god, so, it is an honor to see this blade take such a form." The would be king thought of letting the blade disappear, before Tori came, and, the blade vanished in little petals of light. The parting felt normal, and the voice calling to him about the Keyblade had stopped.
"So, how badly do you think Neku's going to get clobbered?" Conrí asked with a slight chuckle.

Jennifer pounded her fists together excitedly as Neku explained the rules. "I never use items anyhow, so that's fine by me! Um," she turned to face him still walking the same direction, "how durable are you? Like, what's the hardest thing you've been hit by? I need to know so I don't go overboard." Despite her casual demeanor she was very serious about the question. A normal human probably wouldn't survive a single blow from her Aspect, after all.
Her questions got a chuckle out of Jason, though he was secretly relieved she was actually being careful. As they walked he noticed Tori dart over to another bulletin board and rip something away too quickly for him to see, but he could guess what it was. Falling back slightly to walk beside her, he kept his casual stride and stance as he eyed the pair before them. "Feel like taking a bet? No gil, that loser has to answer any one question honestly."
Lucia came out of the Dive just before Conrí, slightly overwhelmed by the experience. She had heard of the oddness that took place, but hearing and seeing were two very different things. Her musings were cut short when he animated again as well, immediately requesting to train under her. The possibility surprised her, but what surprised her more was that she felt ready for once. A nod was the extent of her answer. "Please, just call me Lucia. I picked the name myself, after all."
When he summoned his keyblade she couldn't help but smile, remembering her own wonder after making hers. Holding out her hand, she summoned Requiem's Resolve, the stained glass bordered with gold shining with an inner light. "Mine is the remnants of the last thing my parents gave to me, brought together by my soul and will to protect." She let it vanish as Conrí did, giggling at his offhand question. "Depends on how fired up she is. She'll win no matter what though."
As they waited for the others to arrive in silence, she decided to mention one last thing. "So uh, full disclosure? That was the first Dive I've ever been a part of. Never even had one myself."

Neku was closely listening to the pair as they walked down the way, and was caught off-guard by Jen's question. It was clear that she was trying to know how far to go, but Neku simply chuckled at her question.
"Take a guess" he replied, "I've been in front lines for Raids a few times, so... I've been hit with pretty hard stuff. Like..." he struggled to remember, and hummed a bit, unable to recall much, "Well, you get the jist of it. Why? Scared that it'll be too easy for you?" he taunted.
Tori and Neku then both looked at Jason and his bet, and Tori had a scent of familiarity from the terms. After all, more than once she'd made use of the same strategy in order to get information that was important to her. But she noticed something as Jen asked her question, and then Jason placed his debt -there was something they wanted to know, and she had an idea of what it was. Neku caught onto Tori's suspiciouns, and simply sighed uneasy.
"Nah, no bets" Neku said, "There's a reason why I challenged Jen, but not because of a bet. Unless you want to impose it?" he added, cunning. "A friendly reminder" Tori said nonchalantly, "That the challenger is the one who chooses the rules here. Bets and the like are included."
Tori glared at Jason for a second before she continued her way to the Training Grounds, followed by Neku and the other two. Neku, as stated before, had caught up to Tori's suspiciouns, since both had been working together for a very long time, and they both got to learn a lot about each other and how they acted in certain situations. The reason why Neku refused the bet was because of Tori's suspiciouns, and it was clear what Jason wanted to know: about the bills. At least, that's what they both thought.

The wolf boy nodded slightly when he was told to simply call her Lucia. "Okay, then, Lucia, what is expected of an apprentice?" The last word he spoke clicked into place, and the would be king began to understand just what would be happening next. No doubt, he'd leave with them. He felt his palms begin to sweat.
Conrí breathed in in awe at Lucia's Keyblade and the story behind it. His eyes widened slightly. "So, you're really strong. You willed a weapon into existence, so, don't forget what you're capable of." He smiled, despite his head spinning a bit from the strangeness of what had just happened. All the pieces were starting to line up and click into place. The wolf boy thought back to Tori. No doubt she would be furious with him, but, that was a risk he had to take. Besides, whatever he thought he remembered about her had faded away. He heard what Lucia said about Jen and nodded. "We should have ordered some popcorn to go from the restaurant," he said, winking in jest.
As he pushed the thought away, he heard Lucia tell him that his first Dive had also been her first. Conrí tried not to stare at her open-mouthed, but, he failed for a moment or two. "I suppose that makes sense, given that you put your heart into crafting the blade."
"So, can Tori use a Keyblade because she took a memory attached to mine?" The question had be lingering on the would be king's mind for a while. Fenrir huffed and groaned in approval. Conrí sighed as he spotted the others and waved to them. More questions would have to wait until after Jen faced Neku in the ring. He also supposed that Lucia, Jen, and Jason would need to have talks of their own in regards to him as well.
