As Conrí turned into a half wolf in body as well as mind Jason was speechless for once. At least, he was for a second. After that his grin turned nearly sinister as he decided to do something he never thought he would. "Looks like my nickname was spot on! I can understand being a little beastly on occasion." He had been walking casually away from Conrí while talking, moving toward the center of the magically reinforced smithy. "Personally though," Darkness began to swirl around him before hiding him entirely, "sometimes I feel a little demonic."
The inky black dissipated to reveal his Aspect, complete with glowing embers for eyes and even a pair of horns. He attempted to suppress its power as much as he could in the few seconds before he reverted to normal, but it was six times greater than normal, after all. As he approached Conrí again he mentioned armor. Jason shook his head at his nervousness before stopping just in front of him. "You've got a lot to learn about her then. I'd be surprised if she and Jen don't have a basic plan for your set already."

Conrí saw Jason disappear in Darkness and gulped. He feared for a second that he had lost this game, though, he could argue that Jason had cheated a bit, but, he had started it. He waited for a minute, just to see what Jason would look like. Truly the horns and unearthly light in his eyes made Conrí scared for a second. He wanted to be done with this round. However, after the second of fear, his stubbornness took over. He met Jason's gaze head on, and, suddenly, Lugus, the symbol of his light was in his hand. "Ye can be a demon all you want, but, my sword is housing the light of a god, according to legend, so, we'll see how demonic you are after it's up your arse."
The Keyblade faded, and Conrí was relieved when Jason returned to normal. The wolf boy leaned against the anvil, realising he just tried to face off against something similar to a god to win a round of wits. His laugh echoed in the forge. "Ye cheeky lil punk." He winked and smiled at Jason.
The would be king nodded a bit when he heard that Lucia might already be planning to make his armor. "I'd be honored to help her, then." He moved away from the anvil and asked "What's next?"

Jason reflexively reached for his weapon as Conrí summoned his keyblade before realizing the absurdity of what just happened, his laugh mingling with Conrí's across the room. "I've got nothing to top that! Looks like you've bested me, first time in years." if anything could have cemented Jason's feelings any more, that would have been it. Especially when he found he didn't mind losing to him.
Losing didn't make up for the fright he had given Conrí though. "I didn't mean to scare you; I just got caught up in the moment. It's still me in there, even like that. Now Jen, if you ever see fire in her eyes it'd be a good time to back up. Last week when Ignited Fury activated for the first time she went toe to toe with something that made me just now look like a toddler and won. Burned the place down to boot, and nearly killed her and Lucia's kids when they tried to help."
Shaking his head at how absurd that all sounded he walked back into the living room and opened yet another door, this one leading into a bare steel room with glowing lines veining across it. Near the door was a computer terminal designed to interface with the room. "Here's the simulation room. It's magically reinforced to allow even an Aspect to go all out without damaging anything, and you can set up just about any scenario you want. Anything you want to try?"

Conrí's jaw dropped a little when Jason reflexive grabbed for his weapon. And then, he held out his hand to Jason. "Well played, though." He nodded slightly, mostly relieved to hear that Jason still maintained his sense of self in that mode. With a slight shudder, he thought of the darker myths of his people going fully into their darkness. The wolf boy supposed he would need to tell Jason this at some point, but, just then, he heard about Jen and the kids again. The would be king cocked his head slightly, "But, the children aren't born yet?"
He hoped the headache he got from the question wouldn't be an indication of the story behind the question.
Regardless, Conrí let the question hang in the air as he found something new to be amazed at. "Simulation...so, no one gets hurt? Cool." When Jason asked if there was anything he wanted to try, Conrí's eyes lit up. He was a bit of a glutton for punishment at the moment. "Duel me?" He noticed his voice was almost like that of a small pup. Plus, he figured he owed Jason a win after being the first one to beat him at wits in so long. Mostly, Conrí was eager to train a bit.

When Conrí asked about the kids, Jason sighed and did his best to explain. "Alright, basically Jen's granddaughter has something that lets her travel through different timelines, and brought back Zane and Mink -Jen and Lucia's kids- from a really shitty one where the god we took care of last week killed us instead. The three of them helped out with the fight before heading who knows where and when. Confusing, I know."
When he asked to duel Jason he was surprised, realizing that there might be a misunderstanding going on. "I'd be happy to, but I want to make sure you know how this works. When the simulation ends everything resets, including injuries, but while it's on everything feels real. If you get hit it still hurts just as bad. If you're sure you want to do this anyhow, then just pick a location from here and hit the 'Activate' button."
The window he pointed to on the screen showed a small preview of several areas, mostly from various worlds. There were quite a few options, including places most people didn't visit like the Kayblade Graveyard, and even the wasteland that Celderat had become.

Conrí nodded a little. "Confusing is a word for it." He chuckled and shook his head a bit. The wolf boy stared at the blank walls a bit, and his ears perked up when Jason corrected his understanding of the contraption. He wanted to know how it worked, even though he knew, if it wasn't a simulation, he would have sealed his fate, given the fraction of what he saw back there.
Still, the wolf boy approached the place Jason stood, and flipped through the options. Something about the Kryblade place creeped him out, so made a note to avoid it for right now. His eyes lingered over what looked like a wasteland, and his chest fell a little. Seeing nothing that interested him, he decided to close his eyes and pick. When he opened his eyes, he found himself at the base of a giant tree that had a kind of house at it's top. He breathed in the muggy air and sighed. Not home, but, close.
He readied both Lugus and Claiomh Solais in his hands and simply nodded at Jason. "So ye are aware, a stór, I'm not execting to last very long against you. Not if that form was any indication." Even though he knew Jason was stronger, he didn't want to make the first move.

Jason had only been to Deep Jungle once, and that was years ago, so the humidity and heat was already beginning to weigh on him as the pair drew their weapons. Jason held Dusk Shroud itself as a blade in his right hand for now, the barrel of the gun folded in slightly to form the guard, and the sharpened sheath in his left. "I won't be using Aspect against you. It just wouldn't be fair. That being said," he summoned his armor, but instead of the light leather and belts from before he wore a new set, " I don't plan on going easy either."
The armor was a custom set of black chainmail under a matching hooded long coat, and black plate with crimson accents covering his chest, shoulders, forearms, legs, and his face. All that was uncovered was his crimson eyes, glinting with anticipation. "Let's start things off easy, see how to do. Dusk Slicer!" Both the weapon and sheath began to emanate Darkness before he lashed out three times with each. Every one of the six slashes created a medium sized sickle of Darkness that then launched itself at Conrí with as much force as if Jason were attacking him directly.

Conrí nodded when Jason said he wouldn't use his Aspect. So, the wolf boy genuinely hoped he'd be able to at least stay on his own two feet for a while. That said, his instincts started to kick in when Jason showed off his armor. The would be king instantly was able to both admire the smithing skills displayed in that armor and realise his mistake. He wasn't so sure how well magic was going to work here, but, he also enjoyed the idea of a wee proper skirmish, therefore Conrí decided to use as much of the situation as he could to his advantage. As the dark sickles approached him, the wolf boy jumped up into the nearby trees, landing firmly on a thick branch and waited for the sickles to move past him.
Once the area cleared, Conrí threw his Keyblade at Jason, watching it slice through the air. Staying in the tree, The wolf boy called his blade back like a boomerang, caught it, and threw it again, until he noticed the energy in the blade change. He caught it and threw it once more, letting it disappear right before it would have touched Jason, and instead dispelling a plasma dome. As Lugus disappeared, Conrí jumped from the tree and charged toward Jason's left side, side the attack was coming at the armored man from the right. The wolf boy reached Jason as the plasma dome faded away, and used his momentum to slide, bending his body back so that he was almost laying on the ground, and slice at Jason's feet with Claiomh Solais.
Lugus reappeared in Conrí's free hand, and the wolf boy straightened his posture, this time aiming a strike at Jaon's chest, while guarding his kneeling posture with the other sword. The would be king rolled back from his knees once the attack was done, and jumped back slightly, wanting a bit of distance. Ideally, he could keep going out and rushing back in if he needed to, but, then, some of the bantering from earlier entered his thoughts, and, he realised once more that, if, on the slightest chance he won this, it would be because Jason held back or didn't use some of his other tools. Because Jason had been an assassin, Conrí realised two could play at the strategy he just used, and, because of training heavily in it, Jason would likely beat the wolf boy at his own game. He finished his attack by firing off a beam of light at Jason, and moved away toward the armored man's backside where he fired off another beam of light. Conrí then dove and rolled to the right, in an attempt to circle around Jason.
Despite his earlier assessments of how the fight was likely to go in Jason's favor, Conrí felt his jaw clench in a firm line and narrowed his gaze to something of a haughty glare. I'm too stubborn for me own good. He rose from his crouched position, ready to try again, if he needed.

Jason nodded in approval as Conrí chose to dodge the Dusk Slicer. Far too many people wanted to block it for some reason. His eyes widened as he had to dodge and deflect Lugus several times, each throw aimed to kill. Dark Portal wouldn't work on a keyblade, since he could just summon it back. Speaking of which, the last attack was apparently a feint to create some sore of plasma nova!
Thinking quickly Jason used his Afterimage technique and his Glyphs together, leaving one image where he had been and spreading the others out across three of the glyphs now suspended in the air, angled for quick movement between them, making a few of them oriented upside down, Jason himself rested on one of those high above and to the side of where Conrí came to a stop, and for good measure he created a Doppelganger to stand on the final glyph across the way.
That clone decided to taunt him once the flurry of attacks were finished. "Nice try, but a little too slow. Now it's my turn." Darkness and Fire appeared in the clone's hands before he brought them together to create a pure black flame. "Dark Mage: Dark Firaga!" Three ten inch wide fireballs shot out, aimed not at Conrí but the trees around them, exploding on contact. Despite the moisture and all other factors that make trees in a jungle fire resistant the dark flames instantly began burning the branches, creating a black inferno within seconds.
The original Jason sighed at his clone's actions before continuing to watch the fight. Normally he would fight alongside the clone, but this was his first time seeing Conrí really fight, and he wanted to analyze that first. The clone would only do half damage and had a limited lifespan anyhow, so he doubted it could beat him as is.
Meanwhile the clone threw his copy Dusk Shroud at Conrí, a ribbon of Jason's Darkness connecting it to his hand. The blade flew through the air quickly toward his torso as the clone followed, quickly placing the sheath on his back again. Just after the main blade either hit or missed the clone grabbed it again and began a flurry of eight slices, using the ribbon to control the blade like a kusarigama with a straight blade. At the end he jumped backward again, throwing Dusk Shroud once more as he did.

Conrí watched Jason kind of disappear, but, his image stayed behind. I feared that. Too slow. He grit his teeth, keeping note that none of his strikes hit, and the image left behind didn't seem to do anything. However, the wolf boy relised for one thing, he appeared to be surrounded. For another, there was now more than one Jason, and one seemed particularly taunty. He wanted to observe, but, he also didn't have time for it at the moment. The hair raised on his neck, especially when he heard Jason's words "Dark Mage."
Fen, come. NOW! He didn't mean for his thoughts to sound so desperate, but, this was the only thing he could think of. The wolf came out of seemingly nothingness and towered over Conrí. I need your loyalty. Quickly!
The icy white wolf yawned and pushed Conrí to the ground, covering the boy with his body right as the explosions went off and sent fire and chunks of trees into everywhere. The would be king was shaking, despite the warmth and safety Fenrir provided. Even if this was a simulation, he hated using his friend in this manner. The wolf, of course, would just go back to his realm, but, the human part of Conrí always felt like he was hurting Fen. He listened to the steam hissing through the trees, and nodded, and crawled out from under Fenrir, only to see his friend tied up. by ropes of Darkness.
Damn, he's fast. Fen, tá bron orm. He wiped tears from his eyes, knowing Fen didn't need the apology, and glared at the Jason who had the weapon in his hand. "One really isn't enough," As he said this, he readied his blades again. Anger was coursing through him, even though he knew he needed to maintain his composure. "And, I see how you use your ropes." He crouched low to the ground, keeping Lugus in front of him and Claiomh Solais behind him. The would be king really wanted to go into his form, but, this was not the time. Not yet. As he jumped toward Jason, he used his Rush and the momentum from the jump to twirl himself into a flurry of blades.
Once he cleared the distance and was facing Jason, he stopped twirling, but was still in mid air and assumed his wolfish form as he fell toward the armored man. The wolf boy snarled and bit at Jason. "No one, I don't bleeding care who ye are, gets away with hurting Fen."
Ná bí dána, child. I'm okay.
I will end this. Conrí thought, mostly out of rage, ignoring Fen's comment about not being bold.
Rage gets you nowhere.
Conrí growled a little. He wondered if he should submit. There was no shame in it. He was probably taking the sim too seriously. He was outnumbered as it was, and, he had no way of gauging the multiple Jasons' power. He clicked his tongue and lowered his head a little. One more go. I want to see what I can do with one more go.

Jason was very surprised as Fenrir came out of nowhere to shield Conrí from the attacks. The clone's actions had apparently hit some button he had been unaware of as Conrí charged at him recklessly, not even noticing that the Afterimages were fading away. The clone attempted to dodge what he thought would be an onslaught of slashes, only to be bit in the neck by the now wolfish Conrí. The impact instantly killed the clone, which melted into Darkness few moments later as the original Jason was forced to return to the ground by the glyphs dissipating.
He winced as the memories rushed in, rubbing at his own neck as he took a moment to talk to Conrí. "That was pretty impressive, though a bit savage. You might want to reign in that rage a bit though. This won't end well for you if you don't." He didn't attack just yet, hoping to give him time to calm down a little, especially since the clone dying released Fenrir. While he looked relaxed, inside he was ready to react to several different scenarios at a moment's notice.

"Tch." Conrí's mouth filled with Darkness, and the taste caused him to spit immediately. He didn't care to taste that again, but, the outcome was half of what he desired. "Damn," he muttered, as he realised that he went after the right Jason, in a sense, because Fenrir was free, but, ultimately, the wrong choice. He landed on his feet and turned in time to see Jason wince. and touch his neck. Some of his anger subsided when he realised he'd actually hurt Jason, and it cooled a bit more when Fenrir came over him and put his head on the boy's shoulder. What now? The would be kind blushed a little when he heard Jason complimented him, and then promptly warned him to keep his anger in check.
You have seen his strength. You know you can't win in a game of strength. Cute mate, by the way. Conrí looked at Fenrir with confusion, and noticed the wolf's smirk. The wolf boy blushed. He looked back at Jason. The armored man appeared calm, but, Conrí could figure out he was anticipating the next move. The longer the would be king stared, the more he contemplated conceding. Something in him felt darker than before, like he couldn't give up the fight, and, that's when he knew he had to give it up. Sighing, he sent Fenrir back to the spirit realm.
He started to walk toward Jason, sheathing Claiomh Solais and dismissing Lugus. When he was close enough to Jason, he knelt down and bowed his head. "We both know I'm not where you are in terms of strength. I concede." As the last two words filled the air, he looked up at Jason and rose to his feet. "Guess that makes us even. Shall we continue on, or, do you insist on fighting a battle you already know the outcome to?" He felt his body tense, because there was certainly the possibility that Jason wouldn't let him concede in this.

Jason was afraid that his words wouldn't have any effect, but thankfully Conrí came to his senses. He was surprised when he conceded, having expected him to at least continue. His reasoning was sound though, and Jason dismissed his armor to reveal a satisfied smile before putting his hand lightly on Conrí's shoulder. "I never wanted to fight you to begin with. Why would I continue? You've shown a lot of courage and wisdom just now. Lucia's going to have her hands full with you, and soon enough you'll be able to keep up with us."
He abruptly remembered where they were when he began to sweat through his shirt. Laughing, he spoke a command into the sky. "Simulation end!" The jungle blurred around them before the steel room appeared again. Oddly enough, scorch marks remained where the black flames had been. Jason looked at them before chuckling nervously, rubbing the back of his head. "Uh, I guess the room wasn't quite as reinforced as the one in Riley's castle." A few sparks came out of one of the marks before the glowing lines dimmed, and the screen displayed an error message. "Lucia's not going to be happy about this one..."

Conrí's eyes started to water a bit when Jason said that he never wanted to fight the wolf boy to begin with. He wondered if he should apologise, but, another compliment made him blush and put his hands behind his back. "N-no, no...I just made the best choice I could given the situation. I'm sure I'm not as brave or as wise as you think." The would be king laughed slightly. He'd basically had it drilled into him to deflect compliments. When Jason remarked that Lucia was going to have her hands full with him, another playful smirk spread across his face, but, he refrained from starting up another game of wits.
When the humidity caused Jason to sweat, Conrí breathed in a little, and noticed how Jason's scent was for the first time. He took some comfort with it, and, when the steel walls came back, the wolf boy's jaw dropped. He playfully pushed his hand into Jason's chest and laughed. Then, he remembered that he wasn't actually in the clear, either, and he was Lucia's apprentice. The would be king coughed and shuddered suddenly. I hope she's not the sort to punish with training. A coy light entered Conrí's eyes, and he looked at Jason. "We could just tell her we like it rough?" He winked without really realising it.
He put his right index finger on his chin and looked upward. "That reminds me. What rooms are left again?" He sighed, shook his head, and stuck out his tongue at Jason. "Thanks for not going full demon mode back there, a stór." He took a couple of steps so that he was next to Jason, and his hand just kind of gravitated toward his, hesitantly. When his fingers brushed against Jason's, he noticed what was going on, and stopped his hand from moving any closer. He cleared his throat. The perpetual blush seemed to be back, and Conrí looked from Jason to the floor off to his right side.

Jason couldn't help but laugh at Conrí's comments and subsequent flirting. Now almost completely comfortable around him, some of Jason's usual attitude came back. Instead of just holding his hand, Jason lifted it and kissed the back as if Conrí was a princess in a fairy tale , only then holding it normally. "I never use Aspect against allies that cannot use something similar, lilulf. And to answer your question, only the bedrooms and bath house are left. Shall we?"
He was tempted to try sweeping Conrí off his feet to finish the farce, but thought better of it given their equal heights and prides. Instead, he led him out of the room and through the last remaining door in the living room, revealing an unassuming hallway with two doors on each side and one at the end. The two on the left and first on the right were open, revealing mostly empty furniture and beds. "Those two were Lucia and Jen's rooms. They moved most of their things to New Yuio shortly after Jen and Riley were wed. This first one on the right is the guest room, and this one," he moved to the forth door and opened it, "is mine. I haven't decided if I'm moving with them yet."
Jason's room was very neat and tidy, a decent fifteen feet to a side with a queen sized bed on the far wall, red sheets under a black comforter. The carpet was a plush medium grey, and two bookcases filled with books ranging from car repair manuals to tactics to fantasy and everything in between sat on the right wall. On the left was a small walk in closet and a dresser. All the furniture was a dark oak, well kept and sturdy. "You're actually the first person other than those two to see this room, now that I think about it." Every one night stand he had always ended up at that person's place, since he hadn't cared enough to let them in any more than he had.

Conrí felt his heart pound ever so slightly when Jason grabbed his hand, and, when Jason's lips met the back of his hand, the wolf boy fought to not visibly swoon a little from the rush that was taking over his body. When Jason asked if they should continue on the tour, Conrí noticed something in the way Jason looked at him, which made the would be king wonder what the other was planning. Whatever it was must have been decided against, because Conrí felt his arm being pulled lightly as Jason led him down through the living room down to the hallway which contained the bedrooms. He nodded a bit as Jason spoke, taking in the information carefully, although, the fact that Jason's hand stayed in his and felt comfortable was distracting him a bit. "I guess it makes sense they would move into the castle."
Conrí bit his lip a bit when Jason showed him the last room. The wolf boy was really glad they had that talk about taking things slow, because, he was already feeling a bit odd looking at a cozy, yet tidy looking room. The would be king thought about what Jason said about possibly moving in with Lucia and Jen, and then considered this room in front of him, which seemed to be where Jason felt at home. Conrí looked at Jason for a moment. "I know it's not my place, so, please take this with the weight of a feather, but...why would you move from such a nice room? Also, I've not known kings of different worlds to get along all that well." Shite. I said that outright. Conrí was sure Jason felt his hand trembling, but, the wolf boy managed to quickly explain himself, "If we make it to that month you talked about, I mean," as he said the phrase, his voice dropped down to a mumble. "Apologies." He said with a bow. "In any case, it's a nice room. I really like the color scheme."
Conrí wondered what the bathhouse would be like. Even if it had been a simulation, the training was still on his mind a bit, and, the idea of a bath sounded soothing at the moment.

Jason looked around the room again, really seeing it for the first time in years, before answering Conrí, his voice a touch quieter than before. "I'm considering the move because they were all I had left. The three of us are the only living Celderatians, and none were lost to Darkness this time." Abruptly he realized how morose that topic was and quickly changed it. "Anyhow, you haven't met Riley. He could get along with a rock. He married Jen, so that should tell you all you need to know."
He blushed right along with Conrí at the mention of being together after a month, and oddly enough at the compliment on the room as well. "I didn't mean for that to be a specific time goal. It was just a dig at how both of them settled down that fast. To be fair though, they had met their husbands four years ago. It makes more sense when you think about it that way. But," he shut the door again and turned to the final door, "here's the final room, and honestly the one I think all three of us are proudest of. We designed it ourselves, after all."
As he opened the door a wave of steam billowed out before clearing to reveal a beautiful sight. Jason had called it a bath house, and it certainly was deserving of it. The room was enormous, nearly three times the size of the bedroom, and almost a third was taken up by a magically heated bath that probably could qualify for a hot springs. Four shower heads hung on the right wall with tile seats under them, and near the door on the left wall were a few cubical shelves with towels, soaps and shampoos, shaving cream and razors, and even a few open spots for clothes. Looking at those reminded Jason that he forgot those, but with a few small Corridors he soon had two sets of T-shirts, jeans, and boxers resting in the slots. "You look about the same size as me, so there's a set for you as well."
With everything set he began to strip, very intentionally not looking at Conrí while putting his old clothes in a chute leading to the laundry room in the basement, where an animated washer and dryer would clean them much better than the makeshift magic trick they pulled last night. He had no problem with nudity, but even he felt a little awkward now that they were something more than friends.

As the steam started to seep out from the final door, Conrí let Jason's words about Lucia and Jen being all he had left. He squeezed Jason's hand for a second, looking down as the steam moved around them. "You have me now." The words were said, and, even if he were blushing like a fool, mostly because it finally clicked as the rest of the steam cleared that baths involved no clothes.
Right as that thought was making him warm out of embarrassment, he was treated to a scene of splendor on the floor. A large temple-like structure shaped the walls and ceiling, and the wolf boy suddenly felt relaxed looking at the design. "Whaa..." He examined the red gate around the doorway, and was cautious when he stepped into the room itself. Whatever seemed to be troubling him from out there seemed to disappear as soon as he fully entered the room. He had heard of worlds that had this aesthetic, but, had never experienced it in person. He noticed Jason had gotten him some clothes, because they appeared to be built similarly. The would be king moved past Jason, making sure to look away from him. He quickly took off his clothes and dropped them down the chute without looking behind him. He hadn't even entered the shower, and he felt like he had a sunburn all over his body.
Conrí stiffly walked to the showers, swiveling his gaze around, but never near Jason, still taken with this room, and started to clean himself, as he gathered it went shower then soak. "Let me know if I'm about to screw something up. I've only ever heard how this works," he said as he let the water pour over him.

Jason tentatively looked at Conrí out of the corner of his eyes, still nervous for some reason. He was clearly uncomfortable, but so was Jason as he gathered his materials and turned the tap next to Conrí. As he washed the familiar scenery of the room combined with the heat to relax him a little more, and what Conrí said just before entering clicked.
Giving himself a quick rinse he steeled his courage with a deep breath before saying something he should have said during that very first conversation. "Conrí, If you're ever uncomfortable with something, please let me know. You've respected my boundaries and issues, and I want to respect yours as well. I," he paused for a second, realizing what he was about to say, then said it anyway, "I just want you to feel comfortable around me, like I do around you." It was his turn to stare anywhere but at Conrí, blushing far more than before as he sat there, not really believing he had just said that.

Conrí's body stiffened for a moment when Jason came next to him and turned on his tap. He took a deep breath and focused on the environment around him. The heat from the water and the mugginess of the steam seeped into his skin. He exhaled slowly, and decided to meet Jason's glance with one of his own. He washed his body carefully while he did this, then rinsed quickly. This isn't so bad.
As Jason mentioned wanting Conrí to feel comfortable around him, the wolf boy grinned. He could see that Jason's ears were quite red, and imagined his face probably matched that redness. "Wait there." The would be king walked over to where the soaps were, and picked out a sturdy bar, then walked back to where Jason was and carefully wet the bar of soap, careful to avoid looking at the other man for too long. He took the bar of soap in his hands, and stepped back, until he was behind Jason. Conrí's hands were trembling a bit, but less from discomfort, and more because he had never done this before. He took another breath, then nodded, and knelt down. "Please, let me know if you don't like this and want me to stop." That line was hard fought for over the usual "Please excuse my intrusion." Conrí touched the soap to Jason's back and began to lather it against his skin a bit vigorously.
The wolf boy then set the soap aside on the stool where he had been sitting, and began to rub Jason's back with his hands, making sure he was satisfied that his back was clean. He also found himself humming lightly as he worked. He paused for a second, sighing slightly. "Of course I'll tell you if I'm too uncomfortable. That makes the most sense, doesn't it?" He went back to scrubbing, then stopped again. "I get scared sometimes. I get scared that my ignorance is going to push things too far, and then...the life I'm finding will be gone. Whether it was a set in stone rule or not, I decided that I want to try to make it to that month without messing things up."
Conrí found himself pressing his head into Jason's back. He breathed in the scents of steam and soap and Jason. He smiled when this relaxed him, but then, it was like a dam in him finally cracked and shattered, because he realised he was shaking and crying and scared all at once. "You've been so hurt before, and, on some level, I feel and understand that pain, because..." Uncomfortable or not, Conrí knew he should have said this during the first conversation, too, "I'm afraid that everything will break around me, or, I'll not measure up again, and...all I know is that, I don't want to lose you, even though I know that sounds crazy, because we just met." The wolf boy had shrank away from Jason and was wiping tears away from his face. He coughed, and realised he would need to rinse Jason's back, but, he was still feeling too vulnerable to move.
