Jason just chuckled at the wolf-king's insistence on paying, knowing full well that the restaurants would refuse the munny outright. "How about you take the tip then?" Glancing over the menu he quickly selected his usual green curry and grabbed the phone on the end table to place the order. He decided to add two orders of shrimp dumplings as well before giving the address and hanging up.
Shaking his head in amusement at the attitude of the person over the phone he turned back to Conrí with a grin. "It's always funny when they warn me about a "long wait" then realize who's calling. It'll be here in about twenty minutes. In the mean time, let's relive some more of my childhood I guess. This was one of Lucia's favorites when she was a kid." Satisfied he sank back onto the couch to watch the movie, still smiling.

Conrí jumped up slightly, eyes filled with light at the prospect of being able to take care of the tip. "That works for me!" The wolf boy was glad he didn't actually have a tail normally, because he was sure it would have been moving back and forth in excitement. The thought made him blush slightly, and he listened carefully to how Jason placed the order, in case he wanted to try this on his own sometime.
Conrí chuckled a bit when Jason explained what had happened on the other end of the phone call. "Looks like, as far as I can tell I am a very lucky man. I get food faster, and I get great craic to boot." He winked slightly, then realised he felt a bit more like a fish out of water, because this movie was part of Jason's childhood. "Well, movies weren't really a thing on Tir Tairgire, but, I know of them because of the druids training us, kind of. I like them, and, I'm having fun watching them with you, a stór."
As the movie started, Conrí's jaw dropped a little. "Wait, this is like..." His hand went to where Claiomh Solais was on his hip, and he got chills. "Uh...huh. This is going to be interesting."

Conrí's explanation caused an eyebrow to raise as Jason looked at him. He'd never seen anyone that knew about technology but hadn't lived with it before. "I've been having a blast too, lilulf. I haven't had this much fun in months, and never with better company."
As the movie started Jason noticed Conrí's reaction and quickly connected the dots, eyes widening. "Wait... Your sword is Excalibur?! Oh man, this is gonna get interesting when you finally meet Riley then. He's got one too." He chuckled as he turned back to the movie. "Guess it's possible with all the different worlds and all. Ah well," he draped his arm over his love, shifting closer, "let's just enjoy what we can before the food gets here."

Conrí laughed a little once Jason realised what Claiomh Solais was. "Yeah, so far, they aren't doing a half-bad job, though, obviously, my world has variants." He decided that after the movie, he would fill in Jason, if the crimson eyed one wanted. When the would be king heard Riley also had an Excalibur, he tensed a little, but, was quickly calmed by Jason's arm around his shoulder.
Conrí nodded when Jason said about enjoying their time together before the food came. He looked away from the TV and into his love's crimson eyes. A small smirk spread across his face, and the wolf boy wondered if Jason would see the fire dancing in his eyes. The wolf boy suddenly kissed Jason's cheek. "I'm such a thief." After saying this, he winked and went to kiss Jason's lips. Once his shenanigans were over, Conrí went back to resting his head on the man's shoulder and watching the movie.

Initially Jason was confused by the odd look Conrí gave him, but that quickly turned to amusement at his "theft" of a kiss. During the next gap in the songs and dialogue he glanced down at his love. "If anything I'm the thief. I spent a few months one time using wings in my Aspect to become the ultimate Phantom Thief Dark, as they knew me. Never was caught." He chuckled as the movie continued.
A few minutes later he heard movement outside the front door and paused the movie before getting up and moving toward it. "Looks like the food's here. Just in time too, cause I'm..." He trailed off as he neared the door, sensing who was actually on the other side just before it opened to reveal Lucia and Jennifer, both tired and eyes red from crying. Instantly his eyes hardened, but Jen put a finger to his lips before answering part of his question. "She said she's really sorry for everything, meant it, and we left as friends. I just want to wash up and sleep."
As she walked away Jason turned to Lucia, who answered the rest. "It finally hit her, and Tori of all people tried to comfort her. She really did apologize, and if she calls I'll be going to help. I'll understand if you two don't though. Please, don't let us ruin the night. We'll stay out of your way. Oh," she pulled a bag that smelled of curry out from behind her and handed it to him, "the guy took one look at us and handed this to me before running off. See you in the morning, I guess." Yawning, she followed her sister down the hallway.
Jason sighed before shutting the door and heading back to the couch, placing the food on the table. "I'm assuming you heard all of that." It was a statement, not a question. "I don't know about all of this, but they gave us very clear instructions I think. If you'd rather ask about what we were talking about I'll answer though." He needed to know if he was going to be around them, but it was certainly going to change the mood.

As Jason left his side, Conrí sighed a little. He heard the movements, too, but, like his crimson eyed love, he assumed it was just their food. However, his ears twitched when he heard Jen speak. The wolf boy suddenly sat at attention and looked back at Lucia. Conrí thought about just saying he would sleep on the couch, but, Jason came walking back with their food, and Lucia disappeared.
Conrí cleared his throat and avoided Jason's gaze when he heard the man's statement. "Gabh maith leithscéal, chuisle," he whispered with a blush then translated, "Sorry."
The would be king paused before taking a breath. "My hearing is just too good...I tried to listen away." He looked at Jason, rightly concerned about all three of them, but, he shook his head. "A stór, even though I want those answers out of concern, they aren't your answers to give. At least, not on your own, so, even though it must be serious, let's try to focus on the fact that Tori came around, and that we have a movie, food, and each other." Conrí leaned toward Jason and kissed him tenderly, a couple of tears sliding down his cheeks from the apparent weight of it all.

Jason immediately sat next to Conrí and grabbed his hand, gently wiping away the tears with his other after the kiss. "It'll be alright, elskan mín. We've been through things like this before, and likely will again. You're right though, it makes more sense for all of us to tell it together, and we're all still here. Let's just relax for tonight." Before he put the matter to the back of his mind he wondered how Riley was fairing as well.
Moving efficiently he identified the two curries by color, placing Conrí's before him with a plastic spoon and his own before him before putting the two orders of shrimp dumplings between them, grabbing one before putting the entire thing in his mouth with a grin. A snap of his fingers later and two bottles of a soda with a dark red label with the number 23 in several places fell gently into his hands from a Corridor, one of which was placed in front of the wolf-king before he resumed the movie again.
He was almost dead yesterday, maybe dead tomorrow, but alive, gloriously alive, today. And that was all that mattered.

Conrí shuddered slightly when Jason grabbed his hand, and the shiver jumped to his face when he felt his tears be wiped away. He smiled weakly, happy that his love was taking the advice. "Thank you, chuisle mo chroí. Tá mé i ngrá tú." The wolf boy pressed Jason's hand into his cheek for a second.
The would be king's stomach growled, reminding him of the food they had ordered. As if reading the situation, Jason handed him his curry and a spoon. The crimson eyed one placed dumplings between them, and ate one whole with a grin. Conrí chuckled softly and followed suit. The dumpling burst into a wonderful mix of flavors of sea and garden in his mouth, so, the wolf boy ate one more before opening his bottle of soda.
The liquid smelled like a mix between spicy and sweet, and, to Conrí's surprise, went down with a smooth finish. He cautiously approached his curry, but found it to be the most wonderful comfort in a food he could think of. He laughed at the movie where appropriate, and ate slowly. Conrí was happy that Jason seemed to be relaxing.

As Jason ate he paid more attention to the movie and even more to his love than the food before him. As good as it was, he had experienced it before, and the rest was unfamiliar in the best way. He found himself laughing at parts he'd only chuckled at before, nearly choking on a dumpling at one point before clearing it with a swig of his drink. It was almost as if the events of the day outside the house hadn't happened.
About halfway through the movie he felt the sisters location shift from behind to in front of him, making him assume they were spending the night on the Alyson and staying out of their way as much as possible. It was pushed from his thoughts shortly after when the scene turned to romance suddenly, giving Jason an idea. As the music started up he waited for the first verse to finish, then turned to his love before singing along with the second, his deeper voice harmonizing with the singer's.
"♪I see the heavens each time that you smile I hear your heartbeat just go on for miles And suddenly I know why life is worthwhile That's what I see through your eyes...♫"
When the chorus came he sat back again, a teasing smile on his face as he purposefully avoided repeating the hanger kiss. He liked to be anything but predictable, even when it took some real self-restraint.

Conrí felt a bit overwhelmed by all of the new sensations. The brightly colored movie, and the comforting curry, along with the intruding soda. The wolf boy laughed along with Jason, only to turn when the man nearly start choking on a dumpling. He leaned over and whispered, "I thought ye said that the only thing you choke on is mead." The would be king smirked, stuck out his tongue and winked. "If this," he gestured at the dumplings, "is too dangerous for you, I guess I can eat what's left."
Conrí decided that he was going to save his curry for lunch, anyway, and picked up the tray of dumplings with a chuckle. He was joking, and would put them back if his love told him to.
The romance part of the film surprised Conrí, but, what surprised him more was Jason's singing along with the second verse. The wolf boy thought that Jason might kiss him again, but the man just leaned back with a coy look on his face. Conrí could feel the heat of a blush come to his cheeks. He popped a dumpling into his mouth, and extended his hand to Jason with a smile on his face.
Once the song finished, the would be king said, "I'm amazed at his ability to train AND seduce her... I'm glad you aren't my Keyblade Master. I just wonder if they are going to that Twitchy Eye Gross Nails this easily," he said in reference to the villain. The would be king wondered why the thought of this movie ending made him sad. He also found himself looking towards the bathhouse a bit, but he shook his head and resolved to ask Jason what he would like to do after this, even though the steamy hot water sounded like a decent follow up to their mini movie marathon.

Conrí's nickname for the villain nearly made Jason fall over laughing again even as he nabbed another dumpling from the tray in the wolf-king's hands. "Sometimes a little choking is worth it, lululf mín." He winked before popping the dumpling into his mouth and successfully eating it, sucking the juices off his fingers while maintaining eye contact.
Jason noticed his love occasionally glance toward the hall behind them, but whether out of worry or longing for a bath or his bed he couldn't tell. With anyone else he'd tease them about wanting to see the pair in the bath, but that had already been proven untrue by now, and would only make him feel awkward in any case. Instead he remained attentive to the movie while holding his hand, though the plot holes still made him giggle almost as much as the actual film. "How did he not hear them talking about dodging to make him hit the magic rock? He was two feet away!"

Conrí heard Jason's comeback, blushed slightly, and bit his tongue to refrain from his immediate comeback that popped into his head. He shifted his gaze back to the movie after watching Jason eat his dumpling. There was something the wolf boy found ever so slightly suggestive in the way his green eyes were held captive by crimson ones as the man licked his fingers. The would be king cleared his throat a little and tried to put his wandering thoughts back to the movie, which indeed seemed close to the end, as Twitchy Eye got Excalibur and somehow attached it to his arm, courtesy of an actual working ACME potion. "You win that round, because, admittedly, I'm not into choking in general, and, besides, the one I thought of was really crude, anyway."
Conrí squeezed Jason's hand a little, then ate another dumpling. He was sad that the movie was going to be over, and then Jason pointed out how the villain must have heard them talking. "Villains always make at least one mistake. Maybe, instead of going after the sword and attaching it to his arm like a dunce, he should have had his hearing checked after all his yelling and the Griffin squawking," he said with a chuckle and a shrug. The wolf boy knew that his love had been paying too close attention to the gazes cast down the hall. The would be king looked from the now rolling credits, to the hall, then to Jason, and sighed. "You really are too sharp, sometimes, chuisle." He stood, forced himself to walk into the kitchen with his leftovers and put them away. "Part of me wants a bath..." Conrí finally admitted with a blush, "and then part of me wants to stay awake for as long as possible watching movies with you, only to be met with my want of sleep." The would be king hung his head a little bit, "Plus, well...um..." The blush came back slightly worse, and Conrí's heart started to pound a bit, "Master and sister are here...and, I don't know how to conduct myself, especially, since...well, we'd be walking out of the same room in the morning, and, even if nothing happened, deirfiúr would give one of her looks."
At this point, Conrí knew the perpetual blush had returned.

Jason just grinned as he finally won a round of wits, the feeling even more satisfying then usual. "I don't either, to be honest. Makes for a fine comeback though." His chuckle was intended to soften the admission, but he still blushed slightly.
As the credits began to roll Conrí mentioned his ideas for what to do next, plus a worry that made Jason laugh before he caught himself. "Those two are the last that have any right to say anything about that! Both of them went way past where we are in the first few days of their relationships with their husbands. Hell, Jen didn't even last three hours!"
He suddenly realized that might be a little too much information for his comfort, but his point had been made at least. "Anyhow, I'd love a bath myself. Normally I don't take two in the same day, but then again I normally don't go off to fight right after a bath either." He was already feeling better than just a few hours ago, able to actually joke about what happened at least a little.

Conrí's blush deepened when he heard Jason laugh at his one concern, and then he noticed that the man stopped short, but, unfortunately for the wolf boy, he got an earful of information that he really didn't need. "Uh..." The would be king touched his cheeks to try to get himself to calm down. "Is deirfiúr really that much of a..." He quickly put his hands over his mouth and started shaking his head back and forth. He took his hands away from his mouth, and finally just whispered, "Too much information, a stór."
When Jason agreed to the idea of another bath, Conrí relaxed a little more. The wolf boy was happy that Jason was able to crack a joke about what all had happened before their date was interrupted, so he chuckled. "Okay, another bath it is then." Conrí walked down the hall and into the bathhouse, assuming Jason would follow. The steam welcomed him in, almost as if hugging him, and the would be king quickly stripped and put the clothes into the laundry chute, before heading over to the showers. He grimaced a bit when he was reminded of Jason's shirt, though.

Jason's eyebrow rose again as Conrí caught himself just too late. With a cool expression he crossed his arms before replying. "That much of a what, exactly? She has her appetites, as do we all, but that doesn't make her anything less than she is." His face softened again as the pair walked toward the bath, as did his tone. "I'm sorry, Conrí. Our culture was very different than yours, and I keep forgetting that. If it makes a difference, we all met four years ago. Only the confessions happened recently."
The bathhouse welcomed Jason like an old friend, returning what little of his good mood had left as he tossed his clothes into the chute without even looking, preferring instead to continue staring at his love's face. "You're still upset about that shirt? I have at least two dozen of them, and rarely wear them anyhow. I prefer button-ups, usually. Come on," he walked over to one of the showers with some soap and shampoo, "I believe it's my turn to wash your back."

Conrí immediately hung his head the second he saw Jason's cold look and crossed arms. He knew he'd screwed up, fairly badly. A king's duty is to hear the whole story before passing judgement. The wolf boy got the courage to look into Jason's eyes, and shuddered a bit when he'd noticed the man's gaze had softened so quickly. Still, the would be king snapped his posture straight and rigid and bent his torso toward Jason. "That was inexcusable of me. Tá bron orm." He straightened himself and relaxed.
The wolf boy smiled a bit sheepishly when Jason brought up the shirt. "It's yours, and, I shouldn't be so rough with things that are yours, unless you want me to be." He stuck out his tongue and winked. When Jason mentioned washing his back, Conrí felt his body shudder, and a slight blush came to his cheeks. Still, he walked to the showers and started the water. This time, he was certainly more comfortable with himself, which further put him at ease. It's hard to believe this has all happened in the space of one day, though. It bloody feels like it's been two or three. Fenrir still not being present weirded Conrí out a little, because he wasn't used to not hearing some kind of quip or feeling the wolf's friendly presence around him. But, at the same time, it was nice to know that Fen was actually respecting his and Jason's space.

As Jason knelt down with the soap and began lightly lathering Conrí's back he spoke again, still in a soft, comforting tone. "I suppose I should tell you a bit about what life was like on Celderat, so you can understand where our oddities come from. Other than the focus on the Elemental Clans and strength determining the leader of each out society was very progressive. Orientation, gender, number of people in relationships, none of it mattered as long as everyone involved consented and no laws were broken. So, we never had to worry about being seen as promiscuous or the like, and our Aspects and advanced medicine meant that health wasn't an issue either."
By then he was nearly done with the washing, so he grabbed the shower head and pulled it away from the wall, revealing that it was retractable as he rinsed his love's back. "And once the world fell Jen ended up at the Olympus Coliseum, where she competed in the Games for a year to survive and lived with the other gladiators. That's likely where she picked up some of her more direct habits, as well as her cheerful act." Finished, he allowed the shower head to retract before hugging Conrí from behind. "I wasn't mad earlier, I just hope you can accept us for who we are. All of us."

Conrí hummed a bit when Jason started to wash his back, and then stayed quiet, listening to everything that the man had to say. For the most part, he could kind of fathom a world like his love's, if he really thought about it. It really wasn't that uncommon for the druids, so he'd heard, to be more like the people Jason had described. However, what made Tir Tairngire different was that, for the most part, even those with some druid training were expected to go with what would increase the population. As the wolf boy thought about this, he wondered, with some shock if his own country would have revolted against him for a relationship like the one he was in. The thought made him kind of queasy, and, he barely noticed the shower head come away from the wall.
He did notice when the water started to spray over his back, and, that feeling kind of calmed him and stilled his thoughts for a moment or two. The would be king didn't speak until Jason hugged him. Conrí absolutely loved when Jason held him close, but, then, he tried to imagine if he were back on his world with his love. Immediately, his heart started to pound as pieces started to fall into place in a harsh manner. Tears started to fall from his eyes. "A stór," he whimpered a bit, "it's none of ye I have a problem with." He rested his head in his hands and started to cry. "I accept all of ye, ye'll never be a problem with that. After all, ye've accepted me when..." My own country likely wouldn't.
Conrí swallowed, wiped his eyes, turned around and hugged Jason tightly. "They lied to me. All my life. They told me to be equal, honest, open and accepting, but...when I think of taking you back there if it even exists, to be next to me...all I see is their hate and scorn. All over again." The wolf boy let go of his love and walked into the bath. He wondered, should Tir Tairngire make it back, somehow, if he could change things.

When Conrí started to cry, Jason thought he had done the wrong thing. His relief as his love explained was mixed with grief of his own at the words themselves, something he had suspected but never wanted to ask. He wanted to keep holding him, but the wolf-king made that difficult by entering the bath instead, and Jason still needed to wash himself, something he remedied within minutes as he though of what to say.
Once he too was clean Jason slipped into the bath next to Conrí, but slightly apart. He was worried that in this state he might not accept his touch, so instead he spoke once more. "The nice thing about looking back sometimes, is that you can see just how far you've come. Our society had it's dark points as well, mostly literally since I was one of the few surviving members of the Dark Clan after they revolted. Only the children, recent mothers, and Paladins were allowed to live, and all but the last were treated barely better than animals."
He chuckled darkly. "Worse in some cases. I've been the target of enough scorn to know how to weather it, and I'll weather any they send at you as well, lilulf mín. Sometimes all it takes is a single person standing for what's right to change a world, and we've got each other no matter what." Despite his words, his tone was still comforting and inviting, and as he finished he opened his arms slightly to offer another hug, if Conrí wanted one.

Conrí tapped his forearm, slightly abashed that he didn't return Jason's gesture by washing his back. It seemed like a viscous cycle had started. He wasn't mad--not at his would be people, and certainly not at Jason--though, he was feeling something close to annoyed. Unlike Jason's world, his world did not have technology that would make what Jason described possible, and, he didn't want an insane spark of technology rushing into the land to otherwise destroy it, but, he didn't know what to do. The would be king's concentration broke as he heard his love enter the bath. "Sorry about not washing you, chuisle." He wanted to say what was on his mind, but, he could tell from the look in Jason's eyes that he had something to say, so, he stayed silent.
When Jason opened up about how he survived, Conrí closed his eyes and willed himself to keep from crying. There had been too many tears lately. He shook his head from side to side, trying to imagine what that hell must have been like on his dear one. The wolf boy opened his eyes when he heard Jason's chuckle. The crimson eyed one's next words resonated with the thoughts he'd started to have. The would be king instantly moved toward Jason the second that he opened his arms slightly, and wrapped him into a hug. "Thank you, chuisle mo chroí." Conrí moved back just slightly from the hug, but, didn't let go, and, instead looked into his love's eyes until he felt like he was getting lost in their hues. He brushed his lips against Jason's, but didn't kiss. He simply wanted to be close to Jason right now. "I love you, a stór."
