Mei flailed as the nine-tailed fox grabbed her by her vest, and yet she didn't even slip from it, no matter how much she struggled. Seeing Mink fighting back made her both anxious and uneasy, since she wanted to help them out as much as she could, even if she wasn't able of fighting back. But it was useless -the fox didn't even flinch, no matter how much Mei struggled.
The woman, seeing Mink making use of an already familiar move, smirked, and with the help of the blade, smashed one of the pillars aimed at her to dust. The other, although it did hit, made nothing more than a faint scrath that didn't even drop blood, and, glaring, laughed at them.
"Yep -you're really just a waste of time. Kids such as you shouldn't be even near a real fight. Especially against me" she said, mockingly, "So stay still so I can kill you quick! Hex Strike!"
The Keyblade was imbued with an eerie dark aura, and the woman aimed at Mink for a direct hit. Landing it would not only limit her movement, but she was determined to kill her on the spot. And doing that would get rid of one of her problems at hand.

Mink's eyes widened at the sight of the shattered spike, more concerned with it than the lack of damage. They knew they weren't as powerful as their mom, but this just drove the point home. They watched the woman charge at them with the Hex Strike, and for a moment it seemed that they were just going to take the hit.
At the last second they simply vanished, using Flash step to teleport behind the fox before shifting the Requiem's Resolve into it's Crystal Celica form, a pair of crystal gauntlets appearing on their arms as they growled out a command. "Elemental Blade: Thunder."
The transformed keyblade sparked with electricity before they launched themselves forward with blasts of the element in a manner similar to that of their aunt, Jennifer, channeling all that momentum into a single strike at the enemy holding Mei down.
Lucia continued to use her sense of the hearts to monitor the battle as she headed toward the cockpit, praying she had enough time to do this. Once in the steel paneled room she quickly input a command that would initiate a backup of Aura itself and transported it and everything within the captain's quarters to the hangar. Her heart hurt as she initiated the process, knowing that it meant she may not be able to save the ship, but her child was more important.
As the process finished, she turned and ran toward the kitchen once more.

The woman wasn't able to predict such a sudden move, and barely jumped back, yet not unharmed. Seeing that the attack wasn't aimed at her, but rather at the nine-tailed fox, she clicked her tongue.
"Oh, no you don't..." she muttered.
The nine-tailed fox recieved the blow head-first, shrieking and letting go of Mei, who quickly crawled out of harm, looking at Mink with certain shock. Shaking her head to retunr back to reality, she grabbed her blade as means to defend herself in case it was necessary.
The woman, after the nine-tailed fox let go of Mei, and seeing that her blade was now out of energy, clicked her tongue. Mink proved to be more than just a nuisance, and glared in rage. She had to get rid of her before leaving with Mei alongside her, or else it'd be a lost attempt.

Mink grinned savagely as their fist connected with the fox, though they remained on guard as they once more put themselves between the enemy and Mei. Sparks still danced across the crystal gauntlets as Mink began to glow with raw power, activating a skill they hadn't used in a very long time. "Pure Augmentation: First Style." With their strength and speed doubled they took a single step, intending to resume the attack until another voice rang from the doorway.
"Twilight Augmentation: First Style!" Lucia turned the corner in her full armor, violet energy wrapping around her as she moved to stand beside her child, this time's version of Requiem's Resolve held easily in her right hand. Her voice was cold as she recognized the woman. "Hello, Kira. I can honestly sya I was hoping to not see you for some time."
Mink looked at their mother in surprise, nearly dropping their guard from the shock. "Mom?! I thought you left!"
"I did, but Aura sent me a message when the ship got damaged. I started the backup and transfer protocol, just in case."

Kira groaned as more and more obstacles stepped forth. First Mink, now Lucia -it was definitely getting the best of her.
"Hmph..." she scoffed, "Feeling's mutual. And, you know what? I'm really pissed off right now..."
A sudden rush of energy flowed within Kira, as her red eyes glared at the mother and child duo. It seemed to cause no change at first, until Kira leapt at the two of them with speed of lightning.
"And I believe we have a score to settle. Correct?" Kira asked Lucia, taunting.

Lucia activated the shield built into her left arm as Mink shifted their keyblade back into its original form, still surrounded by lightning, and together they pushed back against the blitz with twice their usual strength thanks to the Augments. Even with that the pair slid back until they were nearly touching the wall, Mink's boots squealing against the tile floor.
Once they stopped and threw off the assault the two shared a glance and summoned ten hand sized crystal shards each, Lucia's glowing violet with Twilight and Mink's containing sparks of electricity to match their blade. A single swipe of their matching blades sent the shards at Kira with twin cries.
"Crystal Rain: Twilight!"
"Crystal Rain: Thunder!"
The score of crystals shot out, detonating into small explosions of the two elements upon contact with any surface.

Kira flinched, unable to dodge out of the way completely, and recieving heavy damage from the attack. Barely able to stand back up, she groaned.
"You..." she muttered, bitterly, "You'll pay for this! Alterna!"
With a snap of fingers, sparks of light gathered around Lucia and Mink, before the area soon collapsed in itself. Kira glared at them, as the nine-tailed fox quickly made its leave, not before grabbing onto Mei with an iron grip.
"...Hmph. That took more than what was necessary..." Kira said, looking at the now shrinking Rift the Spirit had made to leave, "But, our target wasn't you, as much as I hate to admit it... We'll settle this... triffle someday soon. But don't you think this is over."
Kira jumped back, engulfed in a bright light and dissapearing. She'd taken heavy damage, and was surely not going to return anytime soon. But, since the nine-tailed fox had taken its chance and succesfully caught Mei, it meant that Lucia and Mink were now on their own.

The family resemblance was uncanny as Lucia and Mink shared a satisfied look at the damage they had caused. At least, they did until light surrounded them, forcing Mink to use Raflega to protect them from the collapsing space.
By the time it faded they were alone in the ruin of a kitchen, both worried about the fate of Mei. Lucia quickly noted that Mink was far more concerned than she though, placing a hand on her child's shoulder as her armor faded. "Hey, you okay?"
Mink didn't look at their mother at first, instead staring at the spot where their friend had just been as tears welled up in their eyes. After a moment they finally found their voice, though the pain in it was blatantly obvious. "She was my friend, and I couldn't save her."
Lucia's heart broke at both the words and tone her child spoke, enveloping them in a hug as she finally realized that their hoodie was on a chair, all the evidence she needed as to how much Mink trusted Mei. "Kira won't kill her. She probably wants to use her to get to Tori, which means we still have a chance to save her."
Numbly Mink nodded as Lucia let go, pausing a moment before donning the hoodie again and giving their mother a weak grin. "I guess I'll see you a few hours ago, Mom. I might take a nap first."
And with that, they vanished.
Lucia stood in that kitchen until Jennifer found her a few minutes later, the latter having just arrived via Corridor just outside the ship. She calmly explained to both her and Fenrir what had happened, only to stop Jen's instinctive reaction to track them down almost before it began.
Somehow she managed to persuade her sister to pilot the ship back home before opening a Corridor of her own. Someone was calling her...

Fenrir watched things closely. He wasn't exactly sure what he was doing there, but, he was still enjoying his time with Jen. That was until he gauged the weight in the room. The wolf sighed with a half-cough and nuzzled Jen's hand before padding his way over to Lucia and placing his head on her lap. I'm sorry, Lucia. It seems your pup had to learn another difficult lesson, and, I wish it weren't so.
The wolf sat for a bit while the sisters went back and forth, hoping to stay out of the issue. Finally, after a lot of talking, the wolf slowly walked behind Jen and cast his gaze back at Lucia. Stay strong. You are a good mother wolf, and they are a fine pup.

Lucia smiled sadly at Fenrir, idly stroking his fur. "It's a lesson they know far too well, actually. I wish that their memories of that timeline had vanished along with it, but even a mother's power has its limits. I can only hope they don't blame themselves."
Sighing, she rose a moment later to face the Corridor she had opened, pausing to look back at the pair. "I need to see who's calling me and why. I might wander around a little after, blow off some steam, but I'll keep in touch. Fly safe." Turning back, she tried to adjust her slightly singed hair as she vanished through the portal.
As it closed Jen looked back at Fen with a sigh of her own, though it conveyed exasperation more than anything else. "All that rushing and we didn't even get to fight anything! Sorry for dragging you out here Fen. Let's get to the cockpit and see if we can get it back home, at least."
Leaving the wreck of the kitchen, she strongly doubted it could. Hopefully the Recall would work at least...
