It was only after he finished his comment that he realized how much his words had affected her. He carefully set the tea down to return her embrace, wiping her tears as he did. The memories were so much a part of his past that he had never considered their potential to upset others. His tone was solemn as he responded to Éirín's outburst. "You have my word. Ending things in that manner does nothing but increase the burden on others."
When she had calmed down again and requested he continue he did just that, beginning again wistfully. "Three thousand years later I was born on the slopes of the very mountain I created to a mother who died shortly after. I was found by Tamlin al'Thor, the man I call my father, and raised in a small, isolated farming region known as the Two Rivers. There I lived for twenty years in peace, until that Winternight seven years ago..."
This part of his life he told almost as a Court-Bard, something he had done numerous times in the years after Tarmon Gai'don. Two years of life, yet the tale took nearly twice as long as the four hundred years before. This time he laughed far more, particularly at how naive he had been early on. The final part of his story summarized the five years after, travelling and raising his children, and ending with his discovery of the Heartless and waking up on Radiant Garden.
Once more he ended with a cup of tea, fresh since his original had long since been emptied, and settled back with a sigh. "And now you know more about me than anyone other than my wives. According to the green-haired one earlier the entirety of the events between Winternight and the Last Battle is in a series of books, which I would be interested in reading. Seeing the other's journeys would be enlightening, to say the least."

Éirín stayed very still when Rand started speaking again. She listened closely, and nearly got caught up in Rand's sing-song like storytelling. The wolf girl still nearly cried at parts, particularly as the story drew to a close. She felt something else click into place for her, and the priestess found herself lowering her gaze and then sheepishly looking back up at Rand.
"I am truly sorry. Truly. For reminding you of some of those memories during our spar." Éirín made sure to look into Rand's eyes fully as she said this. She wasn't scared, so it was a proper apology this time.
The wolf girl tried to snuggle up to the red-headed man after a few moments of silence. She half wondered if he would be trying to remind her of her cheeky tongue as she moved closer to him with clear intent to place her head on his chest.

Rand accepted the apology with a quick kiss on Éirín's cheek, though he also felt it necessary to speak. "To be honest, I was unaware that the list would affect me as it did after all these years. I will be better about that in the future. Thank you for the apology though."
When she shifted closer he couldn't help but smile, the movement both familiar and comforting to him as he helped her subtly. As she lay her head on his chest, something within him began to shift, something he recognized. Kissing her on the top of her head gently, he murmured in the Old Tongue. "Ye narda ye misain suchae mashi asa, raya amchali'dival." "I think I am growing to love you, my beautiful, sweet light."

Éirín nearly jolted away when Rand kissed her cheek lightly. She managed to keep it to a shudder, though, and she simply nodded when her love interest spoke. "It's okay. I understand. I didn't, but, I do now." Still, she couldn't help but look slightly disappointed that Rand's tongue didn't decide to explore her mouth. She pinched the farm boy's cheek lightly in response, and a joyful light was in her eyes. "What, are you too old at three thousand twenty seven, are you too old to kiss me like you mean it, Rand?" Her wit was coming out, which showed that she was starting to relax a bit.
When the wolf girl's head touched Rand's chest, she instinctively snuggled closer to him and sighed contentedly while she listened to the red-head's heartbeat. She closed her eyes, but, they snapped opened when Rand kissed her head and murmured something in the Old Tongue. Her eyes flashed suggestively, and she felt something else stir in her. The words simply came tumbling out before she could stop them. "Ceapaim go is breá liom tú, mo a stór mo chroí."
The words seemed to hang in the tent for a full minute before she realised what she'd said. The priestess immediately felt her cheeks start to warm Rand's shirt underneath her. Please don't ask me...please. I don't want to translate it yet. Thinking fast, her arm reached up and twirled Rand's earlobe, and she took the moment of hopeful confusion to start telling him about the happier times in her life. She eventually ended up at her priestess training and skipped over the part she'd already told The Dragon Reborn. A nervous chuckle escaped her lips. "So, not nearly as eventful as all that you shared, King of Illian, but, there it is." Éirín resisted the urge to stick her tongue out at the farm boy.

Éirín's playful teases were more than enough to fill his eyes with amusement, though he chose to wait until after she finished her tale to act on it. His voice held a chuckle as he responded to her last. "Believe me, I wish mine had been less eventful, and I hated ruling above all else. All I ever wanted was to keep my friends and family safe, not to be a "bloody noble" as Mat would put it."
He laughed outright at that point, clear and bright as he shifted slightly. "And as for my age, you got two things wrong. One, if we're going to include the three thousand years between incarnations I would be three thousand four hundred twenty seven. Two," he paused as the light in his eyes shifted from amusement to something more, "I was afraid of being too forward. If you want me to kiss you like I mean it, then I'd be happy to oblige."
In a single movement he shifted down and pulled her up slightly before kissing her properly, letting his desire and attraction take over for once. His tongue lightly touched her lips as his right hand cupped her head and his left ran across her back, not quite straying too far down. He was considerate, after all.

Éirín laughed at Rand's sassing, winked, and then caught the shift in Rand's eyes. She felt her lips be touched by his, after she was moved up slightly by the man. She couldn't help moaning lightly. Her body pushed up against his a bit more, and, her back tingled as Rand caressed it. He seemed really careful to not go too far down. But, her hands instinctively grabbed his hand and started to guide it down a little past where he was stopping himself. Her eyes flashed with anticipation and desire. If this is how tongues are going to be repaid, then, I'm in for an interesting time. At this, a small smirk started to spread over her lips.
When Rand cupped her head, she inhaled sharply, because his tongue went from teasing her lips to in her mouth more fully, and the wolf girl blushed as a squeak vibrated out of her throat. She wanted to be closer to this man, and she fought hard to deny the reversed Queen of Cups in her head. Wait...breath. I need to...breathe. A whine left her as she pulled away, forcing herself to stick her tongue back into her mouth and catch her breath. "S-sorry, Rand, I...haven't quite figured out...breathing." She touched her lips thoughtfully.
The priestess moved toward Rand once more, once she caught her breath. "I'm sure someone like you could teach me a bit better, though. I certainly wouldn't mind...learning my lesson about this tongue of mine." Éirín's voice was more than a little suggestive, and she nearly started walking her fingers up and down the man's tattoos when a cold, logical thought stopped her. What are we, Rand? The quizzical look she gave him just might have been enough to clue him in.

It was an understatement to say that Rand was surprised when Éirín guided his hand farther down. That didn't stop him from expanding the range of the hand however. Just as he was tempted to press his luck a touch further and leave his hand she ended the kiss to breathe. Rand masked his disappointment with an amused smirk that only grew at her comments, but his reply dried up in his throat as he caught the look in her eye soon after.
He knew that look quite well, having seen it several times in his lives. He knew not to ignore it as well, not that he was even remotely tempted in this case. Lifting his left hand to the small of her back, Rand looked Éirín in the eyes before speaking gently and plainly. "I know that look, and I'll answer honestly. I don't quite know yet what we are, but I do know that I would be sorely disappointed if it turned out to be simply friends. I want to see you smile, to make you smile, and to be by your side. Even..." He paused to swallow, realizing the weight and implications of what he was about to say, "Even if we can restore my world and all the peoples on it, my family included, I would want to share it with you. I don't know what that makes us, but it is the Light's honest truth as to how I feel."
By the end his cheeks were fairly red, though not quite as much as they had been earlier, but his feelings were plain for him to see, and if they had been bonded he suspected she would feel what Min had described as "Veins of Gold" on a few occasions, all directed at Éirín. The speed that his feelings had grown astonished even him, but such as they were he didn't really care either.

Éirín noticed the flicker of disappointment in the man's aura and couldn't help but look down a little and bite her bottom lip softly. Still, her comments as to him teaching her seemed to amuse him, and his aura reflected as much. She decided to relax in that case. Her arm started to go around his shoulder, but then he told her bluntly that he knew the look she was giving him. Everything in the wolf girl started to tremble. She flicked her gaze away, but, Rand's hand pushed lightly on the small of her back, causing her to let out a whimper that was nearly a moan, and her eyes widened with clear desire. The desire was clashing with her fear, though. Maybe I shouldn't have...brought it up.
The priestess's breath finally caught in her throat, and, she nearly had to ask Rand to repeat what he'd just said, because the shock and joy washed over her in a warm but chilling wave. A smile started to form on her lips, but then vanished, and her breath caught again. His aura enveloped her far more than the Hardened Air he'd used on her earlier. The burnt orange faded into lighter orange, until all that was left was an outline of pure gold. It took her all of a second to know without a doubt what she was seeing.
A wide grin appeared on her face. Followed by a blush that could nearly be called garnet. "Ceapaim go is breá liom tú, mo a stór mo chroí," The words came out much more haltingly this time, and in a low whisper. Éirín tucked some of her hair behind her ear, for once revealing its slight pointedness. Her fingers fidgeted, and her mouth moved as she tried to bring herself to say the translation. She realised she was moving toward him, and stopped herself. "Kissing you would be far easier than giving you that translation." The wolf girl winked, an obvious flirt. An even more blatant defense.
Finally, the priestess steeled her courage, and, in barely an audible whisper said, "I think that I'm in love with you, my treasure of my heart." When the last word was out, she decided to pounce at Rand. A cheeky grin was on her face, and the light of laughter was in her eyes. "Besides, I don't think I ever said I was practicing with my kisses this time. And, I've since learned that most friends don't kiss. I've heard there are exceptions, though." At this, Éirín slowly, deliberately stuck her tongue out at Rand.

Rand noted the effect his words had on Éirín, even as her confession only cemented his own feelings. He found himself smiling at her flirt, and outright laughing at her pounce. "There are, but I'd rather not be an exception. For once, I'd like to be part of the norm."
Her translation still rang through his mind even then, settling his thoughts and steeling his courage. "Ye narda ye misain suchae mashi asa, raya amchali'dival. And since you were brave enough to give me a translation, it's only fair that I do the same." He took a breath, then did just that, slowly matching her blush as he did. "I think I am growing to love you, my beautiful, sweet light."
He very much wanted to kiss her, but chose instead to lightly rub the tip of her ear, noticing it's slight point for the first time. He spoke once more, this time at a whisper. "As for that cheeky tongue of yours, I could bring the count back down to three. What I'm going to do is leave it at four for now, and tell you that when that count hits five I prefer to zero it out by kissing in other places instead." He ended with a flirtatious wink that would have gotten him slapped by anyone other than his wives, and yet another blush that only partially ruined the effect.

Éirín felt her heart rate quicken, and had to hold back a nervous laugh when Rand further confirmed that he would rather not be a friend with the benefit of kissing her. Somehow, it cemented things into place for her. At least a little bit. She locked her gaze with the man as she landed on top of him. His aura indicated that he was struggling with something, but, quickly resolved it within himself.
The wolf girl felt her ears twitch when Rand finally offered the translation, and she felt that their faces likely mirrored one another. She leaned down to kiss him, but yipped and shuddered slightly when the man grabbed the tip of her ear. Her hips instinctively squeezed and moved on their own, and she had to fight back the urge to stand up and try to get away. "Rand, chuisle, th-that doesn't hurt...but...um...I..." A whimper echoed in the tent.
The priestess heard the farm boy's comment, and was ever so tempted to just press her luck, but, then she remembered the incident with the stew and thought better of it. Instead, she decided to return his wink with one of her own. "So, my sunrise, are you just going to let a pretty girl straddle your chest, or, are you actually going to kiss me?" Éirín had to bite her tongue in order not to stick it out at Rand, but, an idea occurred to her. Why wait for him to take off a count from her tongues? Smirking, the wolf girl leaned over and kissed Rand, certain to prod at his lips with her tongue a little. "I can always lessen the count meself, farm boy." Rand's arua seemed to surround the King of Swords card and replaced the Sun. "Your aura is like the dawn, my king of the morning," she murmured softly.

Éirín's reaction to Rand's touch amused him, though he did release her ear right after her whimper. He made a mental note about that spot however, even as she returned his wink and came back with a quip of her own.
All he could think for a moment after was that he was glad he judged the situation correctly.
By the time he regained his mind he found her already kissing him again. He was only too glad to deepen it, accepting her tongue and pushing his own past, a low growl coming from his throat that reminded him of Perrin for a moment. When it finally ended he couldn't help but ask about her last comment with a grin. "So, my dear light, what exactly do you mean by an aura? I get the sense you aren't referring to what Min and you see of the past and future."

Éirín shivered when Rand let go of her ear, but, she could have guessed that he had already kept the spot in mind. There was just something in his eyes. He seemed to be trying to sort through his thoughts. Once that was settled, their tongues touched, and the man had willingly deepened the kiss. She shuddered as their tongues moved, and then she heard the growl in Rand's throat, which caused the wolf girl to moan and lightly return the growl with one of her own as she leaned over him a bit more, which pushed her tongue further in his mouth.
The priestess felt like she was on fire and audibly whined like a wolf would have when the kiss ended. Her breathing was less ragged this time. She slid her body down ever so slightly, and rested her head on Rand's chest. She thought she could hear birds chirping in the distance. Have we literally been up all night? At this thought, she smiled and fought back a chuckle. Éirín hummed contemplatively as the red-headed man asked his question. She pressed her lips together and then started to talk, grabbing one of his hands and squeezing it lightly.
"No, it's not quite like that, but, it's not that far removed." The wolf girl shifted a little and kissed Rand lightly. Then again. And once more before she remembered she was trying to answer his question. "Auras are like colors around a person. They can tell you a bit about a person's personality. And, depending on the brightness or darkness of the hue, it can say something about the person's mood or feelings at the time." She went back to kissing Rand for another moment. "Sorry, you have distracting lips, farm boy. Anyway, that's basically what auras are, and not everyone can see them. Yours is the color of burnt orange, that is sometimes filled with flecks of gold. When you confessed, and, after I had responded, your aura looked like a brilliant sunrise, because it was outlined in gold."
After all the explaining was done, Éirín stifled a yawn and went back to brushing her lips against Rand's. Another low growl escaped her throat, but the light in her eyes would tell the man that it was playful. She placed her hands on his wrists as though she was trying to restrain his movement a bit, and she started kissing and lightly nipping at her lover's neck. "It seems to be the morning, my dear," Éirín whispered softly, "Is there anything you would like to do?" Her eyes clearly flashed with her desire for him, but, her fatigue was probably just as evident.

Rand listened to Éirín's answer with great interest, though the interlude of kissing nearly derailed his thoughts. He thought he understood the basics at least. Perhaps he would someday learn to see these auras as well. It certainly seemed like a useful ability.
Rand needed no hints to know that they had indeed talked the night away. He was still perfectly fine, thanks both to his training and the bond that still apparently existed despite him not sensing Elayne, Aviendha, or Min at all. He could only assume that they were in another realm of existence entirely, yet not dead.
Éirín's teasing made him want nothing more than to match her desire with his own, yet he could tell just how tired she was as well. He spoke slowly, so as to choose his words carefully. "There are several things I would like to do," one of them being you flashed through his head, causing a blush before he continued, "but sleep is more important at the moment. I doubt we'll be pressed for time once we wake, and we still need to wait on your friends to get out of that odd book as well."

Éirín kept kissing Rand, wondering how he didn't seem to be tired. She shrugged to herself and decided to keep doing what she was. Her tongue ran along her love's neck. Her fingers danced up and down his chest. She wondered if she could keep this energy up, and, found herself closing her eyes. They snapped open again when Rand started speaking.
A whine echoed in the tent when the wolf girl heard his words. She wanted to push the man over the edge just slightly, because she caught a glimpse of his aura and his blush and could guess that he wanted her just as badly as she wanted him. But, he wisely observed that they needed sleep and likely wouldn't be too bothered in the morning. The priestess sighed and curled up on top of Rand. "Fine, but, I'm staying right here, and, I'm cold, chuisle." She kissed his cheek softly.
"I hope you don't keep me waiting too long, farm boy, because, I could see that you want me, too." Her voice was breathy, but, it was also evident she was past the point of needing sleep, which, felt strange to her. Usually, she only needed to meditate here and there to feel rested. Actual sleep would be a pleasant change.
In fact, cold or not, Éirín started to drift into sleep, or, at least into the same familiar inky void that had brought her to Rand in the first place.

A gentle smile came to Rand's face as he watched Éirín curl up. In truth he was cold as well, a fact that he fixed by pulling several blankets over top of them with Air. As he drifted off a few minutes later he thought about the woman sleeping on him, and his eyes closed with a smile.
When they opened again he wasn't in the tent, though he knew his body still was. As was normal since he regained his memories he was not in a normal dream, but a Dreamshard instead. Here he had complete control of everything that happened, and could even pull others in if he so chose.
Tonight he shaped the Dreamshard into a valley, filled with trees of flowering pinks and whites lining the stream running through it. Near the stream was a simple wooden home, based heavily off of his father's. Reaching beyond, he felt the dream of the one closest to him and pulled slightly, more of an invitation than a forcing.

Éirín shifted and rose from the cushions in the tent. Rand had left, it seemed, and she wondered if he had stepped outside. She stepped out from the tent, and realised that deep, dark, ominous storm clouds swirled over the campsite. When she turned her head, the hills of Avalon spread in front of her, and, she recognised the feeling of being in a dream again. She squinted into the clouds, fairly certain she had seen flashes of light falling out of the sky.
A man appeared before her, and he had striking green eyes, and the wolf girl was certain she wouldn't forget them anytime soon. Nor the sick smirk that was on his face when he looked at her. She was about to test whether or not he was a dreamer, too, but, he vanished as quickly as he had appeared. The priestess was almost expecting rain, but, instead, bars of liquidy golden-silver crashed into the earth. And burned away huts in a flash. "It's a dream, girl...only a dream, and, as such, you have some control over it. Make it stop," she whispered to herself before visualising rain instead of the destructive bars of light. As if in response, the bars seemed to aim at her, and she dodged them quickly, blinking against the painful afterimages they left behind. Then, a brilliant light like a sunrise started to blind her. This...I can't stop, and, that's not the sun...
Éirín started to back into the tent, and then simply fell down on her backside. Her eyes widened in fear, and then defiance. "This is just a dream! MY dream." Something shifted, but, nothing changed. She suddenly started to panic. Wake up, girl. Wake up! She found herself reach out beyond herself and found herself looking at "stars" again. Before she could even process how it had worked that fluidly, she felt a pull from a "star" that was right next to hers.
Rand... Willingly, the wolf girl followed the pull and found herself in a lush meadow with blooming trees and a quiet stream. A simple house was off in the distance. Consciously, she checked the sky for that storm. The afterimages still seemed to burn in her mind, and, it all ended in a flash that settled on those icy green eyes. A chill crawled through her, and, she felt heavy. Dropping to her knees, she started to cry. "It was just a nightmare. That's all. You're here, now, anyway, in Rand's dream."
Reassuring herself, the priestess promised to tell him everything when they actually woke. Unfortunately, she knew she would remember. She set to work, and visualised herself with fuzzy white wolf ears, hands that were more like pure white paws, and a bushy white tail. She even made her nose a wolf's--velvety and black. She completed the look by changing her clothes to a looser robe than her normal garb, and it was slightly more transparent, but, only enough to vaguely hint. After all, the way they had been looking at each other in the real world clued Éirín in on what Rand might be thinking. She summoned her staff to her as well, just in case she was wrong, and fought off the urge to just start running through the field.
The wolf girl did, however, hunker down into the grass, waiting to see if the farm boy would make an appearance or not.

Rand immediately was aware of Éirín's arrival, as well as the nightmare she brought with her. Somehow it had detached from her before entering the Dreamshard, making it surprisingly easy to isolate and quarantine as he moved from the house toward her location.
He almost pretended that he didn't know exactly where she was, only deciding after arriving in the field that it would be more fun to be bluntly honest. Standing just a few paces away he willed the grass to reverse its growth enough to reveal her. "Apologies for not bringing you here sooner. It took a short bit longer for me to fall asleep."
He was quite amused by her appearance, though after taking it in he reverted her body to it's usual form. The robe however, became just a touch more transparent than she had set it, teasing more than hinting at this point as his words ignored what he had done. "Would you care to come inside? We can do whatever we please here without consequence, though injuries still translate, and we also will still be rested when we wake."
Without waiting, he took a single step toward the house nearly a half mile away and opened the door for her.

Éirín blinked. And then sighed. She thought her head spun a little when the grass started reversing its growth around her. Rand stood a few paces away, and also seemed to be-musingly take in her initial appearance, only for it to change on her without her willing it. He's certainly thinking he's in control here. The King of Swords reversed in her head, and she blushed a bit more than she wanted to. He'd explained it well enough to her, and then asked her if she wanted to come inside. She shook her head, and then just seemed to appear in front of the open door.
A bit of a stiff glare greeted Rand, and the wolf girl walked inside, seeing the feather mattress almost immediately. The house itself felt quaint and cosy. She made a blatant point of changing her appearance back to the way it was before the pompous farm boy had changed it on her. Whatever you think you want to see, I will have it be on my terms. A self-satisfied smirk was on her face, and her eyes gleamed dangerously. "Don't just assume you can go changing whatever you want on me, Rand." Her tone certainly issued a challenge to him.
The priestess sat on the mattress and crossed her legs. She decided to stick her tongue out at him again, despite his warning in the real world about what would happen when he needed to pay back five. "I expect you to be looking for a challenge. Though, I do have a simple enough request. One even a man such as yourself should be able to follow. If this goes where we want it to, please, be gentle."
When the last word was uttered, Éirín sighed and covered her face with her hands. "Or, would you prefer to chase me through the fields again, mo a stór mo chroí?" A wink and a smirk automatically happened, without the wolf girl needing to think about it.

Éirín's unperturbed reaction served only to amuse Rand as she entered the house before him. Chuckling, he joined her as the door was suddenly closed without him shutting it. One of the cushioned armchairs appeared behind him as he sat opposite the bed and added the fourth count to the tally yet again.
His eyes flashed in amusement at the challenge she was attempting to issue, even as he felt his face heat from her request. His tone radiated casual confidence despite the color. "Your request is completely reasonable. Your challenge however," instantly her clothes were utterly gone, and she would find herself unable to exert any control of the Dreamshard as well, "is unfortunately lacking here. In this Dreamshard, I am the sole power. If, however, you want to be more wolf-like that badly then you can stay that way. I'm certain we can find a use for that tail, and you're beautiful no matter the form."

Éirín caught his chuckle and noticed the flash of amusement in his eyes. A chill crept up her spine. She swallowed, suddenly, remembering the time from the portal. He had complete control in that time...or, at least, it seemed that way. She finally started to piece together just what kind of a situation she had blundered into when Rand was heavily blushing, but speaking with a nonchalant surety.
Suddenly, the wolf girl felt cold for an entirely different reason and found her blush starting in her toes and crawling up to her face. Despite this, the blush wasn't because she was now without a stitch of clothing, but, more from the desire of wanting to be looked at. Particularly by the man she was with. Still, a shudder passed through her, leading to an audible whine when Rand had mentioned that he was the only one with power here, and that he seemed certain a use could be found for her tail. Her gaze locked with Rand's, and a lazy smirk started to spread across her face.
The priestess thought quickly, and, without saying much, got down on all fours and made a dash for the door, hoping he'd actually honor her request, since her challenge seemed null and void. "How about this, then, my dear Rand? If you manage to catch me this time, then, I can be yours right at that spot. But, it wouldn't be too much fun if you were the one holding all the advantages." She thought for a second longer. "Of course," she said with a bit of a throaty growl that was meant to be playful, "If you are that...eager...well, I won't make it easy for you, but, you probably guessed that...we could just get on with it."
Éirín wondered which Rand would choose, once again realising that she was on the losing end of this, but, not really caring. I want to have fun, but...mostly, I just...want you...Rand. For emphasis of her thoughts, she winked while playfully sticking her tongue out at Rand.
