Hello everyone Lord S-Sha here with an announcement about a minor update to the character template. It's not a total rework or layout change, just a slight update regarding spells. Spells can now have variations on them. This means you can have the base normal spell and a variation of it. An example is having a thunder spell and underneath it you have a variation that fuses thunder and fira to create a different version of the thunder spell with a new effect. This should make things easier for people who have more magic based characters and make it more flexible for people who want to make their characters attacks more interesting. Now there are a few rules for variations which are: - Characters will have to have an ability with a cooldown to use variations. For example: Duality Mage: Mink can combine a spell with an additional element to create a new effect on top of the original, at the cost of doubling the cooldown of the spell. Mink cannot do this more than once every two posts. (Duality effects of spells are marked with the same color title as this ability)
- One variation per spell and each variation has to relate to the spell it's a variant of
- If the variant is used the ENTIRE spell is on cooldown for the duration of the VARIANT'S cooldown
- Variants can either be a new version of the spell OR add one effect to the spell.
That will be all for now. Happy roleplaying!
