Character Basics
Character Name: Jason “Sahar” Jameth
Character Age: 28
Character Race: Celderatian (Human)
Character Gender: Male
About the Character
Character Personality: Jason is very outgoing and social usually. To strangers he appears cocky and slightly vain, but deep down he has a good heart and is willing to do anything for his friends. That doesn’t mean he won’t complain about it though. The more he quips the more he likes a person, usually.
Jason is constantly trying to prove himself to others, attempting to prove that Darkness can be used for good. Occasionally this can cause him to take on jobs that are too much for him, but somehow he always pulls though in the end. His greatest fear is getting someone else hurt because of his actions.
Jason is also a very elegant speaker, able to phrase things so well that he has been known to insult others without them even realizing it. The only thing that he cannot tolerate whatsoever is any form of stereotyping or prejudice. He once preferred to make fools of them rather than actual confrontation, but recent events have proved to him that action and education are usually the better choices.
Jason views his friends Lucia and Jennifer as siblings, and is very protective of them both. He also likes to tease them on occasion though, much to their frustration and, if done in public, embarrassment. He tends to be the voice of action among the three, complimenting Jennifer’s sense of responsibility and Lucia’s wisdom.
He used to blame himself for Celderat’s destruction due to his Elemental Affinity of Darkness drawing the Heartless originally, and was secretly afraid that Lucia and Jennifer blamed him for it. After an adventure that forced him to confront that very fear he realized with the help of some friends that he had to forgive himself, and resolved to move on with his life as best he can. He also has come to terms with who he was back then, finding peace in the knowledge that he has grown past that.
He is also terrified of being alone after spending an entire year on The World That Never Was, cut off from all contact save the Heartless, whose language he learned during that time.
Character Appearance: Jason stands slightly above average at 5’ 10”, weighs 137 pounds, and has a very toned yet athletic body. His muscles are well defined, yet not bulky, allowing him to hide them under normal clothes. His hair is black and almost never leaves the loose tail he puts it into, tied at the nape of his neck. This tail falls just short of his shoulders, but if his hair was loose it would go just past them instead.
Jason’s eyes are a deep crimson, a color that is usually not natural in most worlds. Obviously this tends to attract attention, so he generally wears a pair of sunglasses to hide them when not on a job. When he is working Jason wears a custom set of black chainmail under a matching hooded long coat, and black plate with crimson accents covering his chest, shoulders, forearms, legs, and his face. When not working he prefers to wear darker colored long sleeve dress shirts untucked with black slacks and comfortable black dress shoes, along with a black leather belt with a silver buckle with onyx inlays.

Battle Statistics
Character Position: Hero
Character Spells:
Firaga: Launches a total of three ten inch wide fireballs at up to three targets, which then explode on contact to deal moderate damage. Cooldown two posts.
Dark Firaga: Makes the flames pitch black and allows them to set fire to anything they touch, even materials that normally would not catch fire, for two posts. Anything within the fires takes light damage per post. Cooldown four posts.
Thundaja: Fires a total of five blasts of electricity at up to five targets, dealing moderate damage. Cooldown three posts.
Dark Thundaja: Alters the electricity to become black, as well as cause Silence on contact (Target cannot use magic or magic related abilities for one turn. Does not affect cooldowns.) Cooldown four posts.
Graviga: Creates an area of increased gravity five feet wide, hampering the movement of any caught inside and dealing a moderate amount of damage for one post. Purple mist appears in the area shortly before the effect activates. Cooldown two posts.
Dark Graviga: Creates a Dark mist in the five feet surrounding the spell itself. Also attracts all magic within any part of the mist (Dark or purple), trapping it within the effect. Cooldown four posts.
Night Blast:Jason launches a three foot wide orb of Darkness at a target that detonates into a ten foot wide explosion, dealing moderate damage. Cooldown three posts.
Midnight Blast: Instead creates a shockwave of Darkness that both heavily damages and pushes back everything within 10 yards as it expands away from Jason, dealing heavy damage. Cooldown six posts.
Reflega: Creates a magical barrier five feet across that blocks any damage less than finisher/fatal for one post. Cooldown two posts.
Dark Reflega: Reverses the reflection, making anything within the barrier bounce around uncontrollably until it hits something other than the barrier and ground. The barrier appears a few seconds before it solidifies in this form, and lasts for one post. Cooldown four posts.
Curaga: Fully heals the target and nearby allies of injuries. Cooldown three posts.
Dark Curaga: Also transfers the injuries healed into a sphere of Darkness that swiftly seeks out the closest enemy. Touching it damages the enemy equally to the damage healed. Cooldown six posts.
Character Abilities:
Darkness Augmentation: Jason can utilize his Darkness to double his strength and speed for two posts. He can also use this ability on an ally. This also increases any damage dealt by the character by one tier (light becomes moderate, moderate becomes heavy, heavy becomes finisher/fatal). Once dissipated, Jason cannot use this again for two posts.
Imbued Darkness (Passive): Jason has imbued his armor with Darkness, making it incredibly light and allowing it to nullify the effect of Darkness based attacks. Note that any other aspects of an attack, such as a physical blow, are unaffected, but the armor repairs itself within moments. This also allows him to summon his armor similar to Keyblade armor.
Darksight (Passive): Jason can see even with the total absence of light.
Auric Sense (Passive): Jason can see and sense the auras that surround living creatures. This allows him to know the creatures Realm of origin (by how much Light and Darkness show up in the aura), and also shows him where any injuries are. This can also be used to get a glimpse into the mental state of an intelligent being, though Jason mainly uses this to detect lies or sense emotion. Note that Nobodies do not have an aura, as they have no heart.
Advanced Recoil Combat (Passive): Jason trained for four years to master his new weapon, allowing him to direct it with frightening precession, even to the point of redirecting it in midair.
Total Silence: Jason can utilize his Darkness to become undetectable for up to four posts. Even his aura and life force can no longer be sensed while this is active, but in exchange he cannot use any abilities or spells other than Curaga/Dark Curaga, Reflega/Dark Reflega, Darkness Augmentation, Flash Step, Dark Portal, Afterimage, and Doppelgangers. Four post cooldown, beginning once the ability ends.
Glyphs: Jason can create up to five intricate glyphs anywhere within sight that are either white or black. White glyphs attract things to them regardless of direction or any other condition, while black glyphs propel them at high speeds in the direction they face. Each glyph can change color once, and they last two posts. Cooldown two posts, beginning after the fifth glyph is made.
Flash Step: Jason can instantly teleport to a location within eyesight, with a two post cooldown.
Dusk Slicer: Jason can channel Darkness into his Dusk Shroud to fire off a total of two medium sickles at a target, which cut upon contact as if they were the blades themselves. Jason can use this up to three times consecutively, with a one post cooldown.
Shadow Spin: Jason throws his Dusk Shroud’s pistol blade at the target, where it begins firing rapidly to create a buzz saw like effect. Jason can manipulate the saw using the ribbon connecting his weapon to him as if it were a rope. Lasts one post, with a one post cooldown.
Dark Portal: Jason can summon a small Corridor of Darkness to absorb an incoming ranged attack and redirect it elsewhere. The Corridor only lasts long enough for a single use, and cannot be used again for three turns.
Afterimage:Jason moves so fast that he leaves behind an afterimage that looks exactly like him for one post. This can even fool beings that can sense auras. He can do this up to four times consecutively, with a two post cooldown.
Darkness Falls: Jason sinks into the ground much like a Neoshadow, and quickly moves behind his target. Once behind the target, he leaps into the air and slashes out twice with each blade, a total of four slashes, before landing up to five yards away. Jason cannot be attacked while he is in the ground. Two post cooldown.
Doppelgangers: Jason can create up to three copies of himself out of Darkness. Each copy is indistinguishable from the original, but cannot use Aspect or Darkness Augmentation. The copy’s memories are merged with Jason’s upon dissipation. Each lasts up to five posts or until three abilities and/or spells are used, and cannot be used again for three posts once all are gone.
Chains of Darkness: Jason charges a large blast of Darkness then fires it at his target. Upon contact, the sphere expands into chains comprised completely of Darkness, ensnaring anything within three feet. These chains can be broken as if they were steel, and can also be nullified with any Light based ability. Unless broken by outside means, the chains immobilize the enemy for two of their posts. If no living being is ensnared, the chains last for four posts instead and stick to whatever they come into contact with. One post cooldown, starting after the chains dissipate.
Dark Mage: By combining his innate Darkness element with other magic Jason can create Dark versions of common spells. This changes the cooldown of the spell in question while giving it a new ability and appearance. Jason cannot cast Dark spells more than once every two posts. (Dark effects of spells are marked with the same color title as this ability)
Character Forms/Command Styles:
Aspect of Ginnungagap: By drawing in Darkness from his surroundings, Jason can alter his body and become the embodiment of Darkness for eight posts. In this form, his eyes lose their pupils and irises, becoming deep black studded with what appears to be the night sky, and he gains iridescent black angelic wings. His Dusk Shroud changes color to become blood red, and begins burning with a pitch black fire that appears to absorb the surrounding light, causing his normal attacks to deal moderate darkness damage. Also, his strength and speed increase massively, granting him about half the strength of Hercules and a max speed of 150 mph. In this form Jason gains access to several powerful attacks, although he loses access to his normal skills. Once the Aspect dissolves, Jason must remain in his normal form for eight posts before transforming again. Using this ends any other effects that may be active.
Dusk Barrage (Aspect Only): Jason fires his Dusk Shroud rapidly at the target, sending fifteen blasts of Darkness at them that deal moderate damage each. One post cooldown.
Realm Shift (Aspect Only): Jason opens ten Corridors of Darkness surrounding a target, then enters one. He quickly lances between them, slashing at the target twice with each pass for a total of ten passes. On the final pass he collapses the Corridors just above the target, creating a ten foot wide explosion that deals heavy damage. Two post cooldown.
Void Dance (Aspect Only): Jason rushes toward his target firing five times before using both blades of his Dusk Shroud to unleash a flurry of ten slices that each leave behind a sickle of Darkness. He then jumps backward ten feet and fires once more. This final blast triggers the sickles to detonate into a 5 yard wide explosion, dealing heavy damage. Three post cooldown.
Midnight Hour (Aspect Only): Jason dashes around the target in the blink of an eye, dragging one of his blades along the ground about and creating a circle 20 yards in diameter that glows blood red. Immediately after the circle is formed more blood red lines form the face of an analog clock, complete with three hands that begin at the twelve and rotate clockwise. Exactly 6 seconds later the hands return to the twelve and the entire circle becomes a massive explosion dealing finisher/fatal damage to everything within it. The only way to dodge this ability is to leave the circle before the 6 seconds are up, either by moving to the outside or by going straight up 20 yards, but anything within the circle once it starts moving is drawn toward the center as if under a Magneja spell. Using this ends the Aspect.
Night’s Embrace (Aspect Only/Passive): When Jason reverts from his Aspect transformation to his normal state, he is completely healed, both physically and mentally.
Shining Dawn: By focusing on his will to protect Jason can tap into the small amount of Light within his Heart to create a new Element of Dawn, changing the Element that all of his abilities and weapons use from Darkness to Dawn. This also changes his eyes from crimson to a rose gold and grants him the ability to skate through the air at up to 75 mph.
While Jason is in this form any damage he would take is “copied” by the Dawn, allowing him to use that ability until the end of the form. Any elemental effects are retained, though the elements themselves are replaced by Dawn. In addition, all damage taken is nullified while in this form. The form lasts for up to six posts, and can only be used once per battle. After leaving this form Jason cannot use any non-passive spells or abilities for one post.
Character Weapons:
Dusk Shroud: A pistol/sword hybrid with a sharpened sheath. The pistol fires blasts of Darkness that deal light damage and has a ribbon of Darkness attached to the handle of varying length, allowing him to swing and throw it without losing it. The bladed portion can be extended into a proper short sword or left on the back of the pistol, and the sheath itself can be used as an off-hand blade by gripping a rectangular hole near the opening. Jason can fire the pistol and switch modes mentally so long as he is connected to it by the ribbon.
Character Summons:
Jason can summon one of the following two Heartless. Once the Heartless is gone, he cannot summon another for six turns. Each can only be summoned once per battle.
Sköll: Jason can summon a Boss-tier wolf Heartless called Sköll to do his bidding for four turns. In addition to attacking physically (dealing moderate damage), Sköll has the following abilities:
Pack Hunt: Sköll can summon up to ten Wolf Heads that charge at enemies up to three times each before dissipating. When within range the Wolf Heads will bite down with enough force to crush a car and then detonate into a blast of Darkness and Ice 10 feet across, dealing moderate damage and immobilizing anything within for one post. Two post cooldown.
Sun Eater: Sköll transforms into a massive sphere of Darkness that covers the sky before raining down up to fifty orbs of Darkness and Ice onto the battlefield. Each orb will detonate upon contact into a blast of Darkness and Ice 3 feet across, dealing heavy damage and leaving behind a patch of black ice equal to the blast radius that will slip up anything on it. This ability ends the summon after use.
Demon Tide: Jason can summon the penultimate expression of Heartless, the Demon Tide. This Heartless cannot be controlled, only guided, and will ravage anything in sight for up to four posts. Summoning this prevents Jason from using any spells or abilities for the duration. He is at its core however, preventing it from going berserk. The Demon Tide’s normal attack is to launch a sphere of 20 Shadows per post (dealing moderate damage and each Shadow can then attack for light damage until defeated), and also has the following abilities:
Shadow Barrage: The Demon Tide launches up to 20 orbs of concentrated Darkness, each over 5 feet across and detonating on contact into an explosion of 15 feet that deals moderate damage. Cooldown one post.
Charging Shadows: The Demon Tide shoots out up to five columns of Shadows that act as tentacles connected to the center mass, each roughly 5 feet across at the front and travelling at 50 mph. These columns can travel through any non-magical substance on their way to their target as if it were air, and slam into their target with enough force to mimic a head on collision with a car going a similar speed, dealing heavy damage. Cooldown two posts.
Character Racial Ability:
Celderatian Aspect Mastery: If Jason takes a fatal blow or falls unconscious his Aspect automatically triggers, provided it is not on cooldown.
Character Strengths: Determined, Loyal, Quick and Nimble, Perceptiveness.
Character Weaknesses: Closed off to strangers, somewhat abrasive verbally, tends to get in over his head.
Character History: Jason “Sahar” Jameth never knew his parents. His father was completely unknown and had never been found, while his mother Sandra “Layla” Jameth, a Darkness user with no official job, died giving birth to him. Due to a rebellion some thirty years before his birth, all Darkness users outside the Paladins were regarded with suspicion and carefully watched. This made life very difficult for Jason growing up, as the adults never gave him a chance and his peers bullied him relentlessly. Still, he persevered thanks to the efforts of his close friends Lucia and Jennifer, and achieved his aspect at the age of 18, thus becoming a full adult.
Instead of going to college as his friends did, Jason was recruited into a special ops unit specializing in reconnaissance and intelligence. Two years later he was hunting down a notorious terrorist when the Heartless first appeared. Jason quickly found that they would obey him thanks to his Elemental Affinity, and proceeded to utilize them to capture his target.
Life became at least somewhat tolerable for Jason during this time, until he was used as a scapegoat in a political assassination he had nothing to do with. Originally intending to fake his death and start over, his plans quickly changed once he discovered that the current leader of Celderat was behind the rebellion that stigmatized everyone like him. Enraged, he traveled to the Capital to take his head, only to inadvertently lead the Heartless to his world’s keyhole before he could.
Jason found himself transported to The World That Never Was, where he remained for one year. During that year, he learned to speak the language of Darkness, create Corridors of Darkness, and even managed to domesticate a small number of Heartless to use in battle. He then wandered the worlds for another year, eventually stumbling upon Lucia and Jennifer on Radiant Garden.
Jason was confused by Lucia’s self-revelation at first, and doesn’t understand why Lucia was so insistent on using experimental magic to transform herself, but so long as she is happier this way he will support her however he can. Helping her develop said magic lead him to discover that his Darkness could be used to alter more conventional magic to create Dark variants that suit his fighting style. A crushing defeat in the Keyblade Graveyard motivated him and Jennifer to finish a secret weapons project they had been working on, creating an entirely new combat style.
Meeting Conrí and falling in love with him somehow created a small amount of Light in his heart, something that he is still attempting to learn to use.
