Open to Those Invited And the thoughts of loss seemed to slip away with every taste, with every drink, with every thought. With every feeling the feelings slipped away without a way of knowing if they had ever been there to begin with. The sound of glasses tapping on the ground echoed and a man leaned over the bar to look at the hat with a feather. Another man, not to far off, couldn't help but curse out his breath at the person at he bar, " Damn Girl." Turning back around to take a sip of his own drink. Only two other people sat at the bar, and each sat at the opposite ends, while the person with the feather in her hat sat smack dab in the middle. Everyone would notice her just about, it seemed almost as if once more the feelings of wanting everything to go away were wanted. And the feelings of underaged drinking seemed well enough the best way to do just a thing. Another sip came, Kammi leaning her head just far enough so that her pirating hat fell off her head. Kammi turned around, turning around on the chair with her legs crossed. She looked down at the hat and cursed it. Her hair with no maintence what-so-ever. Well, some natural maintence was still contained, surprisingly. She bent down on the stool down to the hat, just about tipping it over as she never uncrossed her legs until the chair began to become unbalanced and she threatened to be tipped over. Tipping over. She leaned back up, placing her hat back on her head, making it perfect as she turned around and looked at the bartender. "Another one?" He said with a distant smile, but you could tell he wanted to kick her out at any moment, or something more. Her pirating gear was quiet tight, and of course, that was what she was wearing, her heeled boots, tight pants, like riding pants, and then a loosened tee that had strings in the front for tightening, that could have very well dared to show clevage, had she not made sure they were made not to do just that. Kammi looked at the man with no expression, raising her hand and then slammening it down, "Of course! I want another one of...what ever that thing is you gave me." She looked at her cup and pointed at it from the counter, she didn't know what it was, and it probably wasn't good, but like hell she cared. The sounds of men sitting down or moving their chairs was evident as she looked at her cup being refilled, and then dumped back before her. The man watched from directly in front of her as she took her first sip. "Well...Get away!" The man frowned and turned away, him giving her the same curse everyone else was that night. She seemed to be making a somewhat small comotion, but others took it as more. Kammi took a sip, chugging a little, holding onto her hat. After a moment though, she placed her cup down and looked away from it for as long as she could. She looked around for a moment, before her face hit the bar table and she lay there holding onto her hat. She wouldn't be surprised if someone came in and sat next to her, mistaking her for a man. Her hair was short, and from the back she very well could have been mistaken for a man, not from the front of course. She didn't dare place her head back up, the drinking was enough to knock her out, she hadn't drunken like that in so long. Kammi lay there, her eyes closed againest the bar. Underage Drinking had to be a crime. But, for some reason it wasn't really enforced, or really there. It didn't really stand out there. But, seeing a girl drink was more then unlikely, seeing one walkinto a bar in sailor pants and sit at the bar. So when she was drunk some of the men were more then surprised, keeping an eye on her. Kammi lifted her head, looked around and gave a grim smile. "Any of you rusty sailors know a sailors tone?" When one stood up with his drink and yelled out, "Of course! It's part of the sailor's old blood!" He seemed more then happy to a girl come and drink along side the men. Kammi had to respond, "Then get the songs a rowin' and hut to!" Kammi said, standing up, with a little bit of a sway as she took another sip and placed it down on the table. "Ohhhh!" A typical begginning to what seemed most songs, but this song that she expected to be all ab out work on the sea, or drinking, ended up to be about a woman. Of course there was some horrible parts, and drinking. But, it was a sailors song. A song of Yankee Girls. 'As I walked out on South Street, a fair maid I did meet Who asked me please to see her home she lived on Bleecker Street' The chorus was crude and annoying, but Kammi couldn't care a wink as she listened along. She could have sworn she got up for a little dance with one of the men, but couldn't clearly remember. 'And away, you Johnny, my dear honey Oh you New York girls, you love us for our money' "I bet you never even seen a Yankee Woman!" "How much you want ta place on the table?" A few laughs all around as Kammi felt something strange. A man held onto her, the feeling wasn't strange to her, but it was from the raspy man, Kammi would probably have danced all around the way with him, had she not been tripped and fallen to the floor. She looked up at him and yelled out, "Hey! What the hell was that for?" Kammi stood up, holding her dagger, "Hey, what going on?" The bartender came out seeing her dagger. "This is a respectable bar! I do not allow fighting! Especially from a woman!" Kammi laughed slightly as a man came up to the bartender, "Hey! She's just protecting herself from this annoying man!" "Hey!" Both the bartender and other man yelled. Kammi felt her drunkness was heavy as she took another sip of her drink, listening to the two fight, before she stood up straight, or as straight as she could. "Hey! No a...fighting for little miss me needed people!" "And what would little miss you be able to do? You can't protect yourself!" The man who had come up on her behalf said. "I would....a like to bet these um...20 pennies on that!" Kammi said weakly as she summoned her gun. "The woman has a gun...no surprise..." The bartender said as Kammi tried to aim it, but was unable to. Suddenly the bartender grabbed her arm, "I think it's time for you to leave now..." "No!" She was forced back, as she tried to shot her gun, and as she came to the door just that happened. A whole in the ceiling came, and the man looked annoyed. "Get out!" He yelled at her, "Learn to hold your liquor, woman." He threw her out, and she would have been able to hodl her balance had she not been drunk. Kammi fell to the ground outside the bar, unable to stand back up, as she was to disoriented to do just that. And no one would come help a drunk woman in this town, unless they meant nothing good out of it. She was pretty much screwed from the start.

People laughing at Kammi wasn't much to think about at the moment, the only thing that was on her mind was walking back into the bar and just about shoting the men who said she couldn't stand up for herself. She wanted to shot them straight smack dab between their eyes. It would be grand, but she wouldn't even be able to aim the gun, or much less, be able to stand up. At the moment the only thing that would be an accomplisment would be standing up. Getting dunk wasn't exactly one of her brightest ideas.
When Kammi came to find a boy was tapping againest her shoulder. It was rather surprising to find that anyone would come to help her, at least not someone in this world. She couldn't help but think this boy wanted nothing good from her. Kammi turned her head on the ground face the boy, reaching for her hat and moving it back from her face, she pushed the front of her body up with her arms, making her come to a sitting position with much time and some swaying, and maybe even a quick fall.
Kammi gave a small cough, that was somewhat over exaggerated, in the way that as she tipped her head foreward her hat was able to fall once more to the ground. Kammi hadn't realized the bags slowly forming under her eyes, small black lines, as she reached out for her hat, she cursed at the moment as she placed her opposite hand on the ground to support her swaying motions.
The night was darkened as she looked back at the bar that was bright within, but with the door shut it darkened the night outside. Kammi looked at the boy before her as she placed her hat over her unkept blue hair. The silver hair of the boy had to have showed her something, like the fact he probably wasn't from around here, but her being drunk made it difficult to realize such a thing.
"Is you coming to help...little miss me?" Kammi said, using that phrase once more, 'little miss me', it didn't seem the most flattering thing, and definetly something she would not have used had she been in normal ways. She placed her hand on the feather, or at least what she thought was the feather on her hat as she leaned into the boy before her, pretty sure he could smeel the nasty smell of drink on her breath.
The gun that had been in Kammi's hand slipped about a foot away from her, and after a moment she reached over for it, sliding a little to much, but soon coming to sit back up straight with the gun infront of her legs. The dirt on her clothes didn't help her horrible appearance anymore then the attitude that went along with it.
Kammi closed her eyes for a moment, then trying to push herself to stand up straight, or somewhat. But, as soon as she was to kneeling down, she fell to her side and came colliding in with the boy before her. She felt his body, and took a deep breath. Kammi looked at the boy, taking her time to sit back up, "That...wasn't very nice." And the drink had told her that he caused just that action of falling on him.

Yo Ho Ho... a Pirate's life for me! Yo Ho NO, a Pirate's life not for him! Certainly, not HIM. Dusk was a sensible young man. Or so some would like to claim and he himself would dub himself logical. He might go so far as to say he's fairly smart... but obviously he hadn't been very smart for coming here. Actually, he had to be pretty stupid to come to some pirate filled world like this. Where getting drunk and stealing were the ideal past-times. So, a pirate's life for him? No, not Dusk. But he was here, strolling the streets lazily, jade eyes watching the most curious of actions of those about him. He asked himself many times as to why he was here... a place so out of his character. But then, just as he would begin to ask, the answer hit him. Quite hard actually. He wasn't who he was before, surely he wasn't that dark, lonely young man whom saw the world as one big disappointment after another. Yet, he wasn't seeing the world as a happy, fun-filled, wonderful experience either. Somewhere in the middle he supposed. This world was fun-filled, definition of. Seriously, there were drunks all around! Dirty men who sailed the seas! Pleasurable company dotting every street corner... why this world would make any bitter person a little more joyful. However, Dusk wasn't the type of guy who liked fun places or even the concept. Everyone knows his type: serious, moody, and possibly bipolar. Well... he thinks everyone knows of his type... As of now he walked. His raven colored hair shifting in the breeze very slightly, but the humidity this world had (which was a lot) caused his usual messy array to be tamed nicely. Though Dusk disliked the fact that the world was so hot. He hated hot places. It wasn't as though he was dressed to fit in this world at all. Everything about him pointed to outsider. What with his white T-Shirt and black jacket over it and those fitting black pants, not to mention his haunting appearance as a whole. Whereas the men here were well fed and jolly Dusk seemed to be the exact and utter opposite. He looked as though he was ready to murder even though today-unlike most other days-he was in a fairly pleasant mood. Like stated above this world made any bitter person a little more pleasant. And his day (or perhaps it was night now) was just about to get better. The streets were lined with dirty shacks and shops, but only one place struck his attention and that was the bar. Obviously it was jostled as usual, but far more subdued than he would have expected on a pirate world. This was, he assumed, because they had just finished with a fight or conflict. Dusk was correct of course (being as smart as he is... ha ha) for as he let his eyes rest on what lingered before the bar it answered his question. There, he saw, was a man-silver hair he noticed-and a woman... kind of... intertwined he guessed. He narrowed his gaze... what the heck were they doing? Upon closer inspection he saw that the girl was obviously drunk. Didn't take a genius to see that. Her hair was somewhat messy, she seemed awfully distorted (the way she moved... so swayed...), and just the way she looked as a whole. He could tell from where he stood (which was only a few feet away) that she was far gone: a term meaning she was REALLY drunk. And how was Dusk so educated about drunkenness? Well, everyone he knew drank... a lot. The exception? Himself. Reason for this? He was moody as it was, he felt sorry for anyone having to witness him drunk. And perhaps Dusk felt sorry for the man having to endure this drunk woman all by himself for Dusk soon approached the pair. He was soon stationed beside the two, watching as the young woman began to slowly get up. "Would you like some help?" He asked as innocently as his voice would allow, questioning both the girl and boy. He knew, as he inspected the man with his trained eyes, that he was not drunk. Also, he wasn't from this world. He honestly couldn't tell if this young lady was from here or not... she was far gone after all.

The sounds of the waves hitting againest the many boats and docks in the sea overfilled the town. Although the docks could not be seen from the point of the bar people were well aware that the water was not to far off from just that point. In the night of Port Royal yuo never could be sure if it was left or right though. The only thing was it was near by, this didn't exactly help Kammi get a grasp on the area around her, not in her condition. It made things, although it was but a settle thing, somewhat more disoriented.
Kammi heard two voices now, it kind of surprised her more then anything. She looked up to the second boy who had come to grace his company before this young lady. Kammi thought it was because she was fully a beautiful young woman, who was wearing a flattering outfit, and everyone wanted to be around her. She hadn't grasped the fact yet that she smelled of alcohol, swaying slightly all the time, and, of course the obvious, drunk. They all seemed like things that could never happened o her, but of course they were exactly what was happening. So when she saw the second boy she couldn't help but give a somewhat smile as she sat up straight in her spot, or as well as she could.
So, a boy reached out for her hand, not in marriage, and the second boy, the one that was just arriving on the scene of the sudden moment, was asking if he could help the two of them. The two seemed so gentlemen like, and of course both of them wanted her to take it a little easy. Kammi took the hand of the boy still kneeling before her, and then with her second hand she reached for the hand that lay at the side of the second boy. Kammi hadn't had two boys by her side in a long time, so it was nice.
Kammi pulled on the hand of the boy standing, not caring if she pulled him over a little, but as she did so she pulled herself to stand beside him, holding on to his hand with a firm grasp. She leaned herself on him a little for a moment, before gaining her balance and looking down a her hand that still held the first boys hand. Kammi leaned her head down after a moment, removing her hand from the first boys hand and placing it over her mouth as she coughed, a feeling that sometimes meant the drink wasn't the best thing to have, making her sick maybe.
Kammi looked at the boy she stood beside, "And...I suppose you is a nice passer by who sees me, and you wants to help me?" A grimful smile filled Kammi's face, one that used to be a main one, but this one was a little more playful, a little less serious. She looked at Dusk, she wanted to laugh, but it came out as more of a cough. "Are the two of yous a...travelers?" Even when Kammi was toxicated she was able to spot someone who wasn't from the world she stood in.
Kammi leaned a little, her hat falling from her head once more, but she didn't bother to lift it. Insead she took the hand that wasn't holding Dusk's hand and ran it through her hair. That brillant unkept blue hair. The braid that had been put in her hair with the long hair that lay on one side of her head, slowly had begun to come out. The bunch of long hair slowly beginning to fall down from her short hair. Her long hair, recently cut so her hair only reached her ears, was gone except for that one section in the front. Kammi ran her hand through her hair once more before looking at the boy who had come upon her first.

Kammi tapped her forehead after a moment with her index finger, looking at the silver haired, and may I add,-something she had not realized before-quite attractive. "Ah, I can always spot out a traveler! For the fact..." Kammi swayed a little, catching the shoulder of the boy she still leaned on, she quickly returned to the other boy, still trying to flatter herself by being around such boys, but the thought didn't seem to go farther then the confides of her congested brain. "I'm...a traveler...for myself." Kammi said, pointing to herself one more time to make sure the fact was well known.
The sounds of a beer being tapped loudly on a table echoed, Kammi growled slightly, rolling her eyes, and trying to refocus herself as her eyes became blurred with that sudden movement. It didn't seem much, but rolling her eyes in the hateful manner she did was just enough. The thoughts of those people drove her crazy, but soon enough it vanished as she looked at the silver haired boy. His eyes caught her attention for a quick moment.
Kammi reached her hand into her pocket, the small pocket that resided on the side of her pants, plastered to her thigh. From it she brought what resided within, she leaned one way, and lifted the boy's hand up, as she finally removed her hand from the shoulder of Dusk. She looked at him as she dropped her hotel keys into his deep palm. Surprisingly enough, Kammi wasn't depressed enough to just run into the bar without a room to return to once she was drunk enough.
The hotel was about two blocks away, and Kammi was wasting away as she spent her money on it. She had spent her money on the second most expensive hotel in the town. Kammi had saved up for some time now, having no reason to spend it other then for hotel and inn rooms. It was a nice hotel, with a lobby that held sofas and a fire place, the employees wore uniforms, which wasn't exactly the most comine thing around here, it was very nice. There was a small hall off the side of the lobby that held events every now and again.
Kammi placed her hand back down on her side, unable to place it firmly on her hip without it quickly sliding off again. It would be a natural reaction, "This here my room key. Nice place. We can a head there if yas like." She said, looking at Dusk first and then to Kuro. Kammi had that odd feeling, that was probably do to the fact that she was drunk, it was just the fact that somehow Kuro grasp her attention more then the other person seemed to. She didn't know if either would take warmly to going to her hotel room, but they seemed like...well in her state, some very decent people. They wanted to help her, and she probably would welcome anyone, if they even as somewhat had that attractive gleam in their eyes. Even if it was just on eye. It was enough at the moment.
Kammi let out a violently evident shiver below her long sleeved shirt, it was loose, and light, not able to hold any heat in it. The wind hadn't shown itself for sometime now, and once it reared itself she couldn't help but remember her stupidity in not bringing a coat. Kammi suddenly leaned herself into Kuro, hugging him for a moment, trying to make herself somewhat warm, his body was warm, and she didn't care if he pushed her away. The realization that she was touching him didn't bother her though, she always had been a pushover when it came to guys, except when it came to Phoenix. The only person she had infact not pushed herself upon. So, when she looked at this boy, no matter how intoxicated, she didn't dare budge.

I must apologize for the utter lateness of this post, but I've tried and tried again to reply with no prevail. I've been pretty distracted lately... so yeah. xD I must also say I won't be on much at all until this Friday, so don't expect another post for some time though I'll try to get on whenever possible. >>
His offer was not to be wasted he saw as the girl latched onto his hand and helped herself up. He nearly fell, quite alarmed of the sudden weight pulling him down. However, he regained his balance with some ease. Dusk merely smiled, glad his rare want to help was not going to be wasted. He let Kammi hold on to his hand for the poor girl was fairly wasted and he had sympathy for her. No matter how much sympathy he might bore though he looked uncomfortable it'd been a long time since he'd been touched kindly. Actually, it'd been a long time since human interaction of any form occurred with him. But he fought against awkwardness and smiled gently.
Upon hearing Kammi's observation that he was a traveler he nodded. A traveler he was, not a good one, but one all the same. Dusk had went to countless worlds and for no reason he likes to acknowledge. Perhaps he's searching for something... maybe he is just seeking adventure. Either way he's yet to uncover this most hidden truth.
"I am a traveler." He murmured. "And of course I want to help you." He chuckled at this, giving the illusion that he might be some good guy who happened to see this poor girl and might be eager to help her.
Dusk wasn't one for giving charity or helping the needy or even helping himself. Though he claims to have changed, he hasn't too much. Still the world seems to be a large burden and still he's that selfish boy he was before. However, a light that he likes to think is his lost conscious has awaken and has been urging him to go about fulfilling good deeds. This was a good deed! Helping a drunk girl! She was in dire need of assistance he liked to think. So, that made him a good guy after all. Who cared about his lingering reputation of being the bad guy?
Though he denied such a reputation at all cost. Unless he wanted to be intimadating.... which he didn't want to be right now.
He nodded to Kuro's suggestion. Get some place else. Anywhere else was fine with him as he had no where to go. This was how his travels often turned out: wonder around aimlessly, look for that certain lost thing that was not an object nor organ, sleep at said world, and leave out to look once again. It mattered not that he didn't know what he was looking for. Just look, the little voice in his head would urge. Look! And he hadn't found it, whatever it was.
Such thoughts were interrupted as he heard Kammi was a traveler herself. Dusk hid his surprise, but there was something about her that seemed different compared to other locals here. She was a woman for one and she drank. Though Dusk was no scholar himself he knew that women in this time period would never dare such a thing. Also, she had just something-something he couldn't quite place-about her. He nodded. He had so little to say of the matter though it intrigued him. Why was she drunk? Had she been depressed? Was she just... having fun?
Dusk pegged her as the just-having-some-innocent-fun type. She didn't seem at all depressed. Then again, neither did he. However, Dusk was ready to bet money she just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Easy as pie! If only life could be as simple as that...
Kammi handed her hotel keys to him and spoke of how wonderful the place was. Go to her hotel room? This should be awkward Dusk thought, but it wasn't. She was drunk. She wouldn't remember this tomorrow more possibly than not.
"Okay, good idea." He pocketed the key and watched as Kammi latched onto Kuro. Talk about love at first sight. "Well..." He began, trying to ignore the complete and utter awkwardness of it all. "Well, I'm Dusk by the way. Also, while we're on our way we might need some water. You're going to need it and lots of it." Dusk pointed out to Kammi. "So where is this hotel anyway?"
He chuckled at the sight of Kammi and Kuro, maybe they knew each other before or something... shrugging he clasped his hand onto the key in his pocket. Safe and sound.

The warmness of Kuro's chest made Kammi feel somewhat more comfortable, if that was even possible, as the position she was in, other then her drunkeness, was pretty much ideal for Kammi. Taking her mind away from anything it could possibly drag and hold onto. The two boys placed around her were a somewhat...typical position for Kammi. It didn't matter if she ran into them, attracted them, forced them, or even desperatly needed their help in someway. Ideal wasn't exactly the right term to use anymore, almost a need. A need that ran through her spine, some interaction, her concious mind pushed back such things, but her unconcious mind slowly pushed her in the direction of human contact. Something she suddenly couldn't fully understand.
Kammi would have turned her head back up, lifting it from Kuro's chest, and looked at Dusk as he said more then one thing. His name, no longer she needed to think of him as boy number two. Dusk's second question kind of zoned out of her mind though, echoing, but never processing into that wrecked database she called a brain. It didn't seem like much at the moment, a malfunction working it;s path quite well as she looked at Dusk, but didn't udnerstand, the after feeling for the reasoning finally took her over.
Kammi's hand clutched over her stomach instantly, feeling the thrusting pain that was the realization of the cloudyness in her brain, a sickness. An after feeling of being drunk? Just a natural reaction to one such thing as the 'spirits', as she had heard them called here. As many woman had taken a vow not to drink spirits, many failing of course. Kammi looked at Kuro, clutching her hand onto his shoulder. She turned to Dusk after a moment, trying to make an effort to speak without more then words being spoken. That wouldn't exactly have put her in the most ideal position.
"I...stomach aches." Kammi looked at the rough ground, digging her long thin fingers into her aching stomach, it didn't look helpful, but applying pressure made it a little more bareable. "I...need to sit." She said slowly and quitely as she leaned her head a little farther into her stomach. Kammi let her hand slip slightly from Kuro's shoulder, sliding onto his chest, as she tried to make sure she didn't slip onto the ground once more, but instead she came to just about crouching on the ground. She hated those moments where she felt that weakness, all over. That aching pain that she was not infact strong. This was just another one of those times.
The cold she had felt before continued as she placed her head on the ground for a moment before coming to try and stand up, but still slouching to a majority. Kammi swayed slightly in an attempt to be somewhat accomplished at this moment, which seemed harder a task then it really was. A shiver ran through her entire body, running down her spine, and fulfilling it's duty as her fingers shook for a moment.
Kammi looked at Dusk for a moment more, trying to find what his question was once more, it continued to ring in her head, but she couldn't seem to comprehend it one bit. The thought that she was showing once more a weakness rang through her mind, only filling in the small blank spot, this shouldn't have been the thing to occupy her mind. The thought of being sick, or throwing up, or turning out to be stuck in bed for the next week, didn't even cross her mind. But, the pain in her stomach did take her for a ride as it twisted her stomach in odd directions, ones she wish she didn't know about.
Kammi continued to look at Dusk, trying to wait for him to say his question, like he had never said it.

Dusk looked back at Kammi, his jade eyes looking curious as he waited for a response to his question. And he waited... and waited... ...and waited... ...and waited. Finally, after moments of this waiting he concluded she was not going to answer his question. He shifted then, his gaze fixed now on the sky above as he contemplated where he was and what he was doing. The impossible for him: helping someone. And, oh my God, for nothing in return. Such a sad thing there were so few witnesses. It didn't matter though how rare this instance in time was-Kammi needed help and for once that was all that mattered. As he went to look back at the girl-perhaps ask her again where that hotel happened to linger-she was crouched down a hand to her stomach. Kuro had seemingly followed her, supporting her in case she happened to fall. Oh dear Kammi was getting sick. This was the worst part of the Getting Drunk Cycle: the sickness. This had to be one of the many reasons he refused to drink. Who wanted to throw up all over the place anyway? He knelt beside Kuro and Kammi letting his gaze drift to the many assorted buildings lined beside them. They were all quite shabby save for a fair few who happened to keep as tidy as possible. However, as he looked to each one none of them held any signs of a hotel in the slightest respect. This troubled him to no end: they were in the middle of a street with no supplies and Kammi was falling ill due to her drinking (or so he assumed). He sighed, going back to watching the two hearing his question repeated once more by Kuro. "It can't be far." Dusk supplied, inclining his head in thought. "I think Kammi is a bit more sensible than to go drinking and not have a room near by. Plus she must have walked here-I don't see any signs of any kind of transportation other than that. So that means the wherever her hotel room is it's walking distance." He stood at this notion. Suddenly this being nice thing was a bit more difficult. "Can you walk Kammi?" Dusk asked gently. "And yes-maybe tell us where your room is?" His hand went back to the keys that resided in his pocket while he looked at the poor girl who was now ill.

Kammi listened as the question she has awaited was repeated more then once to her, the two wanted to know where her hotel room was. It was a kind of obvious question. She pushed herself up slowly, trying to ignore the pain without success. She cringed, her face turning up in slight pain. Kammi looked at Dusk continuously as she pushed Kuro’s hand away from her, showing that she could, in fact, stand up without help.
The slicing pain her stomach was still present as she stood up straight, expanding herself, trying to release the pain. Kammi’s finger nails dug into her stomach slightly as she took a deep breath, trying to release some of the pain from her stomach. She finally looked up Dusk with a comprehending look. Taking in what he was saying.
“I…I can walk.” Kammi said, standing up as straight as she could. She would be able to walk, as long as someone stood on each side to make sure that every time her foot touched the ground she didn’t trip. Kammi nodded slightly to Dusk in recognition once more that she could.
Kammi took another deep breath as she reached down to pick up her hat. It had laid there without recognition for sometime, and she finally picked it up, not worrying about any dirt that may be on it as she placed it on her short blue hair. “The hotel…” Kammi looked one way down the street, and then turned the opposite way. The town pretty much looked the same everyway you went, so it took her a moment to remember where the water stood. It was just a little ways away from there, and when a wave crashed into the docks, the slight sound filling the area, she looked in that direction. Kammi pointed to the right of the bar that still stood just behind them. “It’s towards the water.”
Another sound of water hitting the docks echoed, “Just beyond the ports.” Kammi said, with more clarification on the matter in front of them. Kammi took one step forward, one arm on her hat, the other on her stomach. With that first step she almost lost her balance, but with the second she regained some of that lost balance. She hoped to feel better soon, but she doubted it would be quickly. Another sick night placed in bed, something she surely did not want. The last time she was placed sick in bed she had nightmares, and was cold the whole night, to weak to go and shut the window. At this rate, she figured she would have it worse tonight. She should have known better. What difference did it make if she did know better though? Kammi would have gone on ahead and done it anyway. It wouldn’t have mattered.
Kammi looked at the other two as she stopped to stand up straight and wait for them, making sure they were still following, or were going to come up beside her. Would it have been a good idea for them to doubt her on her directional skills at this moment? Probably not.
