The bitch... and Artemis used that world lightly... had summoned forth blades seemingly out of thin air. As he tried to strike her weak leg, he found himself having to retreat. If he got to close to those spinning blade they could do some serious damage. Well Artemis wasn't done yet. He had his own sort of tricks.
Bringing his left hand up, six pulses of electric energy shot out at once towards Jean. At the same time the electricity that traveled down his body dispersed. However not a moment latter but the air around him suddenly went from filled with static energy to filled with incredible heat. His body was lined with red flames as they flickered down his body.
Artemis wondered how Jean would take this new form. Not waiting to see if the electricity hit or not, he charged towards her. While his speed was now back to his average, his attack and strength was increased.
---------------------
Red had gotten past Dyne. He had spotted him trying to move too late, and because of it he was able to run towards the two. He watched the two move. When he spotted the pulses of electricity head towards her, he let out a sound of anger. No! He would not allow this assassin to come and do whatever he wanted. He would not let things screw up.
Bringing his keyblade up he let instinct take over. Swinging his blade a wave of energy, exactly like the one before back in the palace, surged in front of him as it headed straight for Artemis and Jean.

Jean watched as Artemis was forced into the defensive too. Her blades managed to make him back off, at least for now. That was what she had been hoping for, to make him back off. Doing her best to ignore the pain in her leg, she regathered her thoughts. Watching him, she spun her physical swords in her hands. This would not be an easy task, getting him to leave. He seemed completely bent on getting the job done, as usual from what she had known of him during their encounters.
Still, Jean hadn't been a general for nothing. The skills she had was beyond what her four friends had. As for Red and Annalese, that remained yet to be seen as she watched the assassin shoot out six electrical spheres at her.
Her swords, all five of the phantom ones, managed to counter five of them and disperse. A sixth energy sphere managed to get through though since Jean's physical blades, being in her hand, conducted the damned electricity. The jolt was strong enough to send her to one knee as she gritted her teeth. Breathing, she looked up at her foe. Now, instead of being immersed with electrical energy, he seemed submerged in flames.
As he charged her, Jean considered summoning up the magical energy she possessed. However, as she did so, something else in the corner of her eye took place. There was hardly time to react.
"What the-?!" she exclaimed.
"Get down!" came a shout. Before Jean could turn to see who it was, the wave nearly upon her and the assassin, a figure pulled her over onto the snow. In the process, their attempt at getting her out of harm's way was only partially successful. Where he got the full brunt of the attack at the side and legs, Jean still got hit by whatever it was that had come at them. Her other leg had gotten broken and even her left elbow as they were both sent flying ten feet away from where they were originally.
"Rowen! Jean!" Sain exclaimed. Dyne, since he was mute, could do nothing but gape. Red had just hit them! Ryu looked on in shock as he held the vampire, whose wounds were still in the middle of sealing themselves. Now, another question remained, had Red also hit the assassin? He certainly seemed to have incapacitated Jean and Rowen, the two unmoving for now.

Red really needed to stop letting his anger get the best of him. Every time it did things usually went wrong. He hadn't mean to get Jean caught in the blast of energy. His intentions had been to simply catch the assassin. Beyond that he had thought the blast would stop.
He froze once he watched Rowen save Jean from the worst of the attack. So caught up was he in Jean's plight that he failed to see that the assassin was simply gone. As if he had never existed. There was no way to tell if the assassin had managed to dodge the attack or not,. For now though things seemed to slow down.
Running over to Jean and Rowen he noticed that they were not moving. Tears streaking down his face he pleaded, "I'm so sorry. Please be alright. Please!" Gently placing Jean's face in his hands, Red leaned down and hugged her tight. He had come close to her since their time together.
Just the thought of her dead brought great sorrow to his heart. He did not understand his weapon. He had simply had gone with the nature of the thing, not really thinking of how powerful such an attack might be. He could only hope that she would hear him and be alright.

Everyone seemed to have forgotten about the assassin at that instant. Jean and Rowen had been hit from the attack Red had sent at them by mistake. It was true that his intentions were directed on the assassin but fate wasn't kind. Now, it was uncertain how the pair of them were fairing. It was a shocker that they had gotten hit, of course. Not to be unexpected given the circumstance though. Red had just been too riled up from the event.
Ryu took control of the situation, looking about for any hint of the assassin, he spoke. "Sain, you and Red get Jean out of here. Fight if you must, Dyne and I are heading back for the temple and will come back." Sain didn't need telling twice as he nodded his head and hurried over to where Jean and Rowen were. As he did so, Dyne and Ryu retreated back to the temple, Annalese in tow.
Cautiously, Sain looked at the surrounding area before finally coming up to the three. Red, the poor kid, was in tears and cradling Jean's face in his hands as he apologized. Bending down, as he kept his peripheral vision fixed on his surroundings, Sain checked Rowen's vitals. His heart beat was shallow but he was still there, hanging on. Next, checking Jean's she appeared to be fine for the most part. Her heart beat was normal and chances are she would wake much sooner than Rowen, whom had taken the full blast of the attack protecting Jean.
"Red, she's fine. We just gotta move them back to the temple, I need your help!" Sain said, trying to pull him out of his despair at least for a moment. As he said this, he gingerly bent down and lifted Rowen. He didn't like the looks of his friend's armor. It was heavily damaged in the area where he was hit. No doubt, his bones were broken. Careful to not put pressure on his friend's side, he went to Jean. "Do you think you can help me lift Jean?" he asked Red.
Even if Red didn't respond, Sain bent low and began to try and place Jean over his shoulder but obviously struggled. It would be with Red's help that he'd be able to carry both or just one.
Unconscious, Jean didn't move or even respond to Red's pleas. Still, her face held color and like Sain said, she was alright compared to Rowen. Just her leg and elbow were broken aside from her other leg which had been wounded when she fought the assassin.

Red wasn't so out of it that he did not hear Ryu. He heard him, but he was still very worried about Jean. That worried kept him sitting there until Sain finally came over and checked her vitals. Nodding, Red stood and helped carry Jean into the temple.
He simply followed Sain until they came to a bed and laid her down there. He couldn't heal her or Rowen. He wished he could. He felt like he should. But he didn't have that sort of ability. At least he thought he didn't. It was hard to tell with this new weapon. The blast he had used twice now was something new. He didn't understand the total mechanics of it.
Standing off to the side, it wasn't long before the others came. He could only hope that they had some sort of ability that could help her and Rowen. Spotting Rowen he could tell that he was much worse then Jean. From what Sain had said, Jean was going to end up being alright. Perhaps his worry should be more on Rowen then Jean.
Glancing at Rowen he felt a mix of emotions. While he thought the man was annoying and a giant pervert, he really did care about the guy. He was extremely loyal. Just thinking about how he without a single thought jumped in front of the blast to protect Jean, showed how much he really cared. "I'm sorry you two." He said softly.

Sain was relieved to get Red to cooperate. He understood that Red felt ashamed but it couldn't be helped right now. Their top priority was getting Jean and Rowen back into the temple. It wasn't too difficult for Sain, carrying Rowen and partially Jean. It was all thanks to Red that he was able to take them inside the temple at once. Trying to keep a swift enough pace, but not wear himself out at the same time, Sain headed down the hall for the room they would place Jean in.
Once she was settled onto a bed, Sain was forced to set Rowen down in the other one. Why put them in separate rooms when it was easier for him tot end to them in the same room right now? Sain, out of the four, was the only one with the curative magic. Jean, she could heal, but she was unconscious right now. So, it was all up to Sain and what reserves of energy he had to heal them.
Jean had been lucky Rowen intercepted the attack when he did. Compared to him, she was smaller in stature and didn't wear heavy armor like he did. Considering the strength of the attack Red had made, if Rowen didn't have his armor, he probably would have been killed. Even still, his condition was far worse than Jean. It was probably a good thing he was unconscious right now for he would be feeling a lot of pain if not. As he remained still, his breathing came in long, shallow breaths.
Sain allowed Red a moment to look upon them. Placing a hand on Red's shoulder, he spoke. "Don't worry, Red. It'll take a lot of energy out of me but this shouldn't be all that difficult to heal...I just hope I've enough." With that, Sain went up to Rowen. As he bent to prepare his healing move, Rowen stirred.
Blinking up between the two blurry figures, Rowen looked around. Gritting his teeth, feeling his broken bones, Rowen tried hard to not let out a cry as he grunted. "Where's...Jean?" he inquired, unable to see her from his vantage point with Sain and Red in the way.
"She'll be alright, Rowen. It's thanks to you, that she's alive. Sit still now so I can mend you!" Sain stated but Rowen shook his head. Pushing Sain's hand away, he looked up into his friend's eyes.
"T-Tend to her...first!" he breathed. It was hard for him to talk in the condition he was in.
"Are you insane? You're worse off than she is!" Sain countered. Rowen just shook his head stubbornly. He didn't seem to want to listen. Sain sighed with exasperation as Dyne and Ryu came back.
"The girl's wounds seemed to have healed by themselves...but she's still not waking up." It was Ryu who spoke as Dyne looked on in confusion at Rowen and Sain. "What's going on here?" Ryu questioned them.
"Rowen won't let me heal him over Jean when he's in a much worse state!" Sain grumbled. Even though Rowen broke out in sweat from the pain, gritted his teeth and winced, he still shook his head as if to protest at Sain nonverbally.

Artemis walked along the side of the mountain. The blast had done some damage to him. He had dodged some of the attack but still part of it grazed him. He was in the same situation as Jean pretty much. Except unlike her, he was awake. His leg had gotten the majority of the blast.
Limping, he continued until he came to a turn. He needed to get somewhere far enough so that he could heal. Hunting down would have to come another day. For now he would focus on healing. Then when the time came he would hunt down Red again.
------------------------------
Red stayed in the background for the most part until Rowen woke up. While Red enjoyed the idea of Sain healing Jean first, he understood Rowen's condition enough to see that Rowen was the worse. Jean probably had some bruises, maybe even some broken bones, but not as bad as Rowen.
A broken rib could puncture a lung, or even worse another vital organ. Frustrated Red spoke. "Rowen the sooner Sain heals you the faster he can get to Jean. Stop wasting time!" He replied.
Of course in the back of his mind there was the fact that he was responsible for all of this. That sense of urgency in his voice came from this. Crossing his arms he stepped up to look at Rowen. Hopefully Ryu could talk some sense into the big headed idiot. While his chivalry was wonderful and deeply noted it was just getting in the way. There was nothing wrong with getting healed first.
Seeing as the room was probably going to get more and more crowded. He decided to leave the room. He would just get in the way there.

Ryu exchanged looks with Dyne before sighing to himself. Wandering over, he could see Rowen was resisting as best he could. Rowen wasn't an idiot, sure he liked to tease others a lot and was stubborn but he wasn't a fool. Sometimes though, Ryu wished he'd at least use his mind rather than his heart half the time. It would save them a lot of time that way.
Still, Ryu had to admire his willpower. Even if he was in a much worse state, he had wished Sain would heal Jean over himself. That was a true gentleman but it was also folly for a situation like this. It would be better if Sain were allowed to just heal him first. Hearing Red's words, Ryu nodded in agreement. Rowen was doing nothing but wasting their time. True, his heart was in the right place but it wasn't doing them any good.
Hearing Red's voice, Rowen squinted toward him. "I can handle it! Just deal with her, first!" he retorted stubbornly. Ryu shook his head, placing his face upon his palm as he rubbed his temples a little. Rowen could be quite hard to deal with when he was acting like this.
"Don't worry, Red. We're going to do it anyway." It was Ryu who said this before glancing at Dyne. Seeing the look Ryu was giving him, Dyne walked up to Rowen's left side, while Ryu was on his right. "Alright, Rowen. You did this to yourself!" Ryu said as he grabbed hold of one of Rowen's arms and kept it down. Dyne mirroring Ryu's every move. Between the two of them, they were able to restrain the stubborn fighter as Sain had a clear shot at him.
"Finally! Sheesh, Rowen! All of this over that!" Sain said in exasperation. Motioning his hand as he had done before in the air as if he were writing, Sain prepared to heal Rowen. No one currently checked on Annalese since claiming her wounds had healed. During the commotion in the room because of Rowen, Jean was still unconscious.

Red stood up. Waiting outside the room, one might wait a long time. After all even once Rowen and Jean were both healed it would probably be a while before either of the two woke up. He couldn't just stay there. Then again he couldn't go outside either. There was no knowing where the asssassin was. For all Red knew, he might be waiting for the first person to go out and attack.
Walking down the hallway he came to a stop at the room he was currently staying in. He took a seat on the bed and held out his hand. Keyblade forming in his grasp, he stared at it. Why had it chosen him? Was it because of the Cursed Blade? And why was the weapon so.... odd. Remembering back to the time when he had unleashed the wave at the hooded figure he remembered how darkness had sprouted from the blade.
It hadn't been there before, and as far as Red could tell it wasn't even there now. This thing was something he just didn't understand. He needed to learn more about this weapon. Otherwise who knew how many more people he would hurt.
"I'm going to find someone who can teach me. Soon as Jean is better we will go. That way I can't hurt more people." He resolved to himself. Letting the blade disappear he threw himself back in the bed. He would wait here till everything was over. Then he would apologize properly to both Jean and Rowen.

After restraining Rowen, it hadn't been all that hard to heal him up. It took a lot of energy out of Sain but Rowen and Jean were eventually healed. Sain had to rest soon after in his own room while they slept. Now, it was all up to time with how things took place next. Annalese was the last to recover from her own state of unconsciousness. At first, she was assumed to have been in a coma but she woke up fine near the evening hours.
Eventually, everyone was out in the dining room. Rowen and Jean were healed so well that it looked as if nothing had ever happened. All were conversing in the room, seated upon cushions. Now was the perfect opportunity for Red to speak his mind.
Annalese, as per usual, was just entertaining herself in the corner. No one seemed to pay her any mind as she got up and made to go outside but ended up just staring at the outside. After what she went through, she had no intentions of going outside alone for a while here. That human had hurt her bad. She wasn't going to wander out so carefree anymore. Even if she had a terrible attention span, painful events seemed to stick with her.

Red had fallen asleep. It was only natural after all that had happened. He was as tired as probably Sain was after healing Jean and Rowen. When he finally did awake, the sun had cast in the sky and evening had come right around the corner. Rising from the bed, Red rubbed his still tired eyes. Opening his palms his keyblade formed within them again.
"Here we go." He said to the keyblade as if it could listen. Letting his weapon disappear, Red made his way out of his room and down the hallway. Entering the main room he was not at all surprised to see everyone awake. Both Jean and Rowen looked as good as new. In fact they looked even better then before they were both knocked unconscious.
It was to them he had to speak to first. Strolling to them he bowed respectively. "I wish to apologize for my rash actions. They got the two of you hurt. I hope you both know I was only trying to help in anyway that I can."
Rising Red made a sudden walk over to Annalese. To her he bowed as well. "I apologize to you as well. The reason you were hurt was because of me. If you hadn't have met me, the assassin never would have used you as bait. I understand if you hate me."
With the apologizes said he headed to the middle of the room and readied himself to be scolded by everyone for what he did.

Everyone seemed just happy that the day was over. Everyone managed to come out of that situation fine. Still, it was no laughing matter with what had transpired. The assassin had attempted to kill at least more than one of them today. Annalese, Jean and Rowen were almost three casualties because of it. Not all of it just being the assassin's fault either. Still, no one seemed to bring the topic up. It were as if everyone was just too pleased they were alive right now.
It wasn't long before Red came out of his room. Curious about what he was doing, those not involved watched as Red approached Jean and Rowen first. Hearing his apology, Jean and Rowen barely had time to respond as Red immediately went over to Annalese and apologized to her involvement as well.
Ryu and Sain didn't say anything. This was between the four of them right now. Personally, it was just a big mistake. It wasn't like Red knew he would have accidentally hurt his own friends. Seeing Red place himself at the center of the room, Sain and Ryu held their tongues. However, along with Dyne, they did look between the others and waited.
Rowen merely rubbed the back of his neck, unsure with how to respond. Annalese merely looked at Red confusedly. "It was not...your fault. I was...careless." After saying that, she seemed to curl up a bit into a ball as she pulled her legs up close to her chin and hugged her legs with her arms about them. The memory of the pain still bothered her even now as she sat there.
"It's a lucky thing we're all still here...I'm not going to blame you for what happened, it was an accident, Red. Just next time...don't let your anger get the better of you again." Jean didn't know how else to say it and the way she said it, where it seemed a little chastising, it was also gentle. Rowen even nodded in agreement with what she said. Although, one would think he would be the most angry of the three having to put himself on the line for what had taken place.
"Yeah, just practice more with that weapon, Red. I'm not mad at you even though you did hit me pretty good." It was obvious no one held any anger toward him.
"Is there...anything you wanted to say, Red?" Jean questioned him finally, breaking the silence that had fallen after their exchanges.

Red felt awkward. He understood now that they did not blame him for what had happened, but it was quite clear that things needed to change. He needed to train with the weapon. That was for certain. But this place really wasn't the place to train. They needed to go somewhere... anywhere else.
"I...." He said trailing off. He wanted to word this correctly. Taking a deep breath he spoke up. "I do have something I want to say. From what just happened I think that we should leave again. I... I need to find out how to use this weapon. I know nothing about it. Every time I've used it, I've done nothing but hurt people."
"That's why I think we should try to find someone who might know something more about how one uses this weapon. Not only that but the assassin knows were here now. Its only a matter of time before we meet with him again. And there was that one figure. He knows where we are too."
There. He had said it. All he could do now was wait to see what everyone thought.

All eyes settled upon Red as he started to speak. At first, he was hesitant as he tried to word his thoughts. Taking a brief moment to gather what he wished to say, Red began talking about how he needed to train and that he was suggesting they leave. Considering what he said about the assassin and the figure, Red was right about that. The temple was no longer safe even though it kept them hidden from outsider's sight. Breaking in wasn't all that easy either because of the ancient spells that had been weaved about it.
Still, this was where the guys had trained a lot. Everything they needed to train was found here. The thought of leaving it was somewhat disconcerting. There was no denying the kid was right though. They would have to all leave, at least for now.
"Red's right, between the assassin and the other guy, it would be folly to stay here." It was Sain whom had been the first to agree with Red. Dyne, since he couldn't talk, merely nodded his head in agreement.
"Yeah, looks like we're going to have to head out to one of our other places...for now!" Ryu agreed. Rowen simply nodded to show that he would go along with this idea.
Annalese simply said nothing. Throughout the whole thing, she just seemed to stare at the floor as if she weren't really looking at it and merely staring through it to the ground below. Her original reason for coming to this world was because she had come to meet a family member. However, it looked like things had been changed. Why wasn't she going to meet her family? No one had ever asked her about them or if she had seen them or found them.
"Alright...then...where are we going?" Jean questioned Red. She knew her friends would accompany them but not for long if they planned on heading to one of their hide outs aside from their usual temple.

Red was a bit surprised that everyone so readily agreed to his suggestion. In actuality Red had been prepared to go out alone if that needed be. The one thing he was sure of was that he needed to train, and that was not possible here. When it came to the question of where they were going. Well at first Red had no idea of where they should go. That was until he was laying down in his bed while Jean and Rowen were healing.
The answer had come to him strangely. He had only been to the world once, and by accident really. But he had heard of persons who have visited there. He had a feeling that it was this world they were supposed to go to. He hoped it would provide him with the opportunity to find what he needed.
"Disney Town." He replied. Stretching out his hand he found that he could still summon a dark portal. At least that ability hadn't left him. He really didn't know what would happen the moment they crossed that portal, but he knew it would lead them where they needed to go.
Little did Red know that as soon as the party crossed into the portal they were about to find themselves in a place very much different from Disney Town. For there was evil afoot inside the temple.

Ryu could see the look of amazement and confusion on Red's face in response to everyone's agreement. "Well, there's no use staying here...that and we did promise we would help you out!" he said. The other three nodded their heads in answer. They would do what they could for them. They were all in it for the long run, that was for sure. However, there would come a time where they wouldn't be able to accompany them the whole way but it didn't mean they wouldn't meet again.
Jean gave Red a confused look when she heard his answer. Disney Town? Now that certainly wasn't a place she had ever been to. The reason why? Well, there weren't any reasons for her to have gone in the past. Looking at her other friends, she could see they were just as confused.
"Oh! You mean that funny world?!" Annalese spoke up. Her moment of dread seemed to have passed as she sat straight up in her cushion. Oddly enough, it looked as if there was excitement gleaming in her eyes at the idea. Figures, Annalese was like a kid herself despite her actual age.
Jean shrugged at the answer. "Guess that's where we're going then." Sure enough, Red responded by ripping open a portal. Everyone got to their feet. As Red first entered it, Annalese soon followed. Walking up to it, Jean turned and shook each of her friend's hands, Rowen took a bit longer because he wasn't simply letting go fast enough. Then, when their exchanges were through, Jean entered the portal and they after her. None had a clue that they would end up someplace different than intended.
