It had all gone exactly how he had wanted it too. He had finally done it. The power of Kingdom Hearts. Power that he had spent years studying. At last all of his patience and hard work was paying off. As the power flowed through everyone it came to him last.
He felt the power and being the controller of the Keyblade of Murders he was able to direct said power how he wanted. Lucky for everyone the doors were just beginning to open. They had no clue as to the full force that would be sent into them once the doors were fully open.
Master Issac knew though that it wasn't over yet. There was no way they would let him go win without giving it everything they got. And so he used that last trick as Jean appeared in front of him. To her and everyone else it seemed as if he wasn't even moving. His eyes were still locked on the opening doors. At least that was what they would all see.
In reality Issac was no where near Jean. In fact he watched as Jean seemingly stabbed through his "body". This was followed by Ryu's arrow as it collided with "his" chest. And finally Ryu's fireball engulfed him as a scream shrilled the air. But it was not Issac's scream. It was Red's.
-------------------------------
Red didn't understand. Why were his friend's attacking him? One moment he had been stunned and worn from unleashing his attack on Issac. The next he was being stabbed, shot with an arrow, and then engulfed in flames.
He was to worn to defend such attack and had never even seen them coming. When the fireball distinguished Red's eyes teared as he looked to Jean, Rowen, and Ryu. There was clear confusion on his face. Blood flowed from where he had been stabbed and shot by the arrow. His body dark and lit by flames.
Red fell to the floor, minutes away from death. He knew it and it didn't even seem to matter that Master Issac was laughing.

At first, it really looked like Jean had Isaac. She really thought she had hit him good. Except, something didn't feel right. It were as if what she was trying to do was being directed without her consent. What was going on? It didn't hit her or Ryu and Rowen until they heard the shriek that came from the one they had thought to be Isaac.
Horrified by what she had done, Jean dropped to her knees when she saw Red fall to the floor. Blood was flowing from him and his body had been burning. They had all just triple attacked Red!
"R-Red!" she said, her eyes filled with worried tears. It was obvious by the look in her eyes that she too was confused and saddened by what she had just done. Rowen and Ryu looked on with horror as well. Just how the hell did this happen? How were they going to stop Isaac?
Not wasting any time, Jean held a hand over Red's forehead. "Cura!" she whispered. If they were lucky, Isaac wouldn't know what she was about to do and she could sneak this one through to try and save Red's life as best she could.
Rowen and Ryu turned on Isaac, fury in their eyes. "You bastard, how dare you make us hurt our own friend?!" Rowen growled at him.
The only one who didn't make noise, since he was mute, turned to face Isaac as well, his eyes narrowed. Sinking into the ground, he appeared right behind Isaac. When he did, he aimed a slash at his back.

Red looked up to Jean as the power of cura rested inside of him. The healing magic worked somewhat. It cured him of the stabbing wounds and gave him enough health to continue on. It was a very close call though. Not knowing really what to say, he tried to stand up as best he could.
He felt shaky and almost fell back to the ground when he did. Yet he couldn't continue doing nothing. They had to defeat Issac. Before he took in all the power and destroyed them. Even now as the doors continued to open, Red could feel the power pulsing against his being. It was too much. It beat against his body like a wooden stick.
Red watched as Dyne appeared behind Master Issac and slashed him. Whatever damage Red had done to the Master before was healed by the power of Kingdom Hearts. Issac had to only call forth his keyblade to block the attack. The keyblade continued to attack Dyne trying to drive him away from the Master.
Master Issac looked to Jean, Rowen, and Ryu. "This is where you loose." He told them. Holding his hand up, Master Issac summoned the huge keyblade just above him. The blade began to spin above them and power began flowing out of Kingdom Hearts. Red felt himself being pushed back physically as power poured through the other three at an immense rate.
Looking to Kingdom Hearts, Red saw that the doors were now fully open! He had to do something. There had to be something that he could do to stop this. If only Red could figure it out. The power was beating at him and causing his whole body to shake. It must have been double that for Ryu, Rowen, and Jean because Issac was using them as buffers.
"I can't let it end like this." Red didn't know what he was going to do but he ran towards Issac.

Dyne, even though he was mute, was saying words that no one could hear and thankfully could not at this point when his attacks were blocked. The annoying keyblade Isaac used on him was holding him at bay. His dark blue eyes glared fiercely at the enemy. What were they going to do? Was this the end for them? Dyne shook his head before attempting to fight on. The problem with that was the doors had opened more fully and he was forced to drop to one knee, gritting his teeth.
He could feel an overwhelming sense of power and it beat on his body as if children tied him up to a tree and used him as a pinata.
Where Jean was greatly relieved to see she had mended what wounds she could on Red to keep him from dying, her look of relief was snatched away in an instant. The doors had opened up more and were wide open. She gritted her teeth and bent over double, clutching at her sides as she felt the immense power surging through her body. Ryu and Rowen were doing the same on either side of her.
"I-I...Can't take...much more!" she exclaimed.

It was like that stupid cave. That stupid cave in the dark with all the pain. Red had forced himself to step through it and so he had to do so again. This time it was bright light that blinded his vision, not the dark. Though perhaps it might as very well be! Red stepped one after another as Master Issac gathered more and more power.
Red could see that the white blankness was beginning to vanish. While Kingdom Hearts remained in front of them, he could make out small worlds and stars in the background. What was Master Issac going to do with the power?
Almost as if he heard the question, Issac turned the huge keyblade towards one of the distant worlds. Red took another step forward as some of that power was sent through the giant keyblade. It struck Gaia, Jean's home world. It was like a nuclear explosion when the blast hit.
One moment the world was there, the other it wasn't. Master Issac laughed through it all. One world had been destroyed, and Issac hadn't even so much as lifted a finger. Energy was beginning to travel through the giant keyblade once more.
Red was ten feet away from Issac when the Enchanted Domain was destroyed. Another world lost. And the closer he got to Issac the harder it was to keep walking. The energy around Issac was intense. It was focused all at that single point. No one could have gotten close to it easily.
His struggle slow, watching another world get destroyed gave Red more courage. NO MORE!" He shouted as he rushed the remaining distance. Red did the only thing he could think of. He got behind Issac and tackled him into the next blast of energy. The last Jean, Rowen, Dyne, or Ryu would have seen of Red was him tackling Issac into the next blast of energy.
And then the doors of Kingdom Hearts close as the Keyblade of Murders broke apart.

The feeling of power coursing through her was so intense that Jean ended up laying on the floor, clutching at her body. The pain was so extreme, she could hardly make a peep as she laid there. Ryu and Rowen were doing the same thing pretty much, Rowen on his knees with his head lowered as he groaned. It really hurt a lot! Neither of them saw what Red was doing at first.
All of them were crippled with pain, it really looked like this would be the end for them all. As Jean rolled over, letting out an agonized scream, she saw a world burst that looked a lot like Gaia.
"N-NO!" she yelled. Her homeworld had just been demolished!
Then, another world followed in its stead. She didn't even see Red until it was too late, when he tackled Isaac right into the next blast. Eyes widening, as the energy that had been holding them all crippled, ceased. Shocked, Jean scrambled to her feet after she spluttered a few moments.
"RED!" she shouted just as the doors suddenly closed and the keyblade that held it open had been destroyed. Where had Red gone? Was he alive? Jean scurried over to the large double doors and tried to pry them open. Without a keyblade, it was impossible for her to do so. "RED!" she shouted again, looking around for him.

As the Keyblade of Murders dispersed the hearts that created said hearts broke apart as well. And when they did... Well the doors to Kingdom Hearts opened just an inch so that they might disperse. And following those seven hearts were two more hearts. Two of them though stayed in front of Jean, Rowen, Ryu, and Dyne.
They glowed bright as they took the shape of white ghosts. The first was none other then Sain. Dressed as he had been when he died, but without harm and without pain. He bore them all a smile as the second ghost stepped forward. It was none other then Red.
Red saw the sorrow in his friends eyes. "Well this sucks! Seems like were dead Sain." He told him.
Sain could only laugh in agreement. "Guess we are Red." He responded.
Red couldn't per say hug Jean but he bent down to look right into her eyes. "I don't think we have much time. But we did it Jean. It's finally over. I'm sorry I had to go and die though. I didn't see anyway else out of this mess.'

As the keyblade broke, hearts came flowing out of the weapon. Out of the seven, one remained and another joined it. Both floated before Jean as she looked up at them in wonder. In her heart, she knew one had to be Sain. There was no mistaking it since Sain would be the one to try and linger a bit to say farewell if he could. Rowen, Dyne and Ryu walked up behind Jean, looking upward at the two hearts.
Suddenly, transparent forms formed around either before taking full shape. Standing there was Sain and....Red! Jean's heart gave a horrible lurch when she saw that the heart before them other than Sain's had been Red's!
Jean dropped to her knees as the two ghosts spoke to one another. Sain appeared to be unhurt in appearance and rather happy despite the fact he was dead. Even Red didn't seem all that bothered by the fact that he too had just died.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked up at them. This was it, this was really it. Red...and Sain. They were both...dead. There was no way that they could bring them back. "R-Red! ...Why?" she choked out, hardly able to speak through the lump in her throat that had formed.
"I guess this is it, huh?" Rowen asked Sain, a look of sadness in his eyes.
Sain smiled over at him and shook his head. "You'll see when it's your time. It's not the last time you'll see us, guys!" Sain said reassuringly.

Red looked to his best friend in the world. He saw the pain and tears in her eyes. He understood exactly why she was asking why. Red bent down. He didn't have really much power left as a heart, but somehow he knew that he could make himself full for just a few seconds.
Thus he did and it was Red's own physical hands that touched Jean in an embrace. He gave her a smile and even though it exhausted him to do so he lifted up her fallen chin. "Cause your life has always been more important then mine." He told her with a classic Red smile.
"Besides Sain's right. This won't be the last time you see of us. We'll never be too far from you guys. So long as you guys think of us in here," Red gestured his heart, "we will never be too far away."
He turned to Sain and gave him a nod. It was about time. They couldn't last here much longer. "Go and kick some more bad guy ass! We know your ass kicking days aren't done yet. Go and get the next bad guy. Shoot one of them for me Rowen. And Dyne look after that knucklehead cause I won't be able too anymore. And Ryu. Thanks so much for helping us all."
Lastly Red turned to Jean one last time. "And Jean..... Red paused as tears made his ghost eyes redden. "I wouldn't have been alive as long as I had, if I hadn't met you that day back in Gaia. I've always wanted a family. Never thought I'd find all I needed in one person. I love you." And with that Red and Sain returned to Kingdom Hearts.

Jean was so stricken, it was hard for her to even force herself to stand. So, she remained on her knees for now, unable to take her eyes off of the spirits of her friends. It was an odd feeling to be sad while they appeared to be quite happy. None of them seemed to be in any pain and they were unnaturally overjoyed. How could they be so happy? Didn't they know that they wouldn't be seeing each other for a while?
Tears fell from her face as Jean could no longer look up, her emotions getting the better of her. As she did so, she didn't see Red solidify until he had suddenly embraced her. Shocked, Jean had momentarily ceased crying as she tried to clear her vision. It was Red who was actually hugging her somehow.
Confused as to how he was doing this, Jean slowly embraced him back. It really tore up her heart when he lifted up her chin to tell her that it was because her life was always more important. That was something a parent would say to their child. In her eyes, it would have been her to say that sort of thing to Red considering his age. Still, seeing that smile on his face, she knew that during the time he had spent with them that he had grown up. Maybe not physically but inside he certainly had.
While she was quieted, Red focused on the other three. Rowen held up a clenched fist and fist pumped it a bit as he smiled back, though somewhat sadly, in response to what Red said to him. "You needn't worry, I'll take a shot for every one of you ten times over!" he mused despite the seriousness of the situation. Dyne, as a single tear fell from one of his eyes, clenched a fist like his brother had done and lightly hit his chest to confirm to Red that he would do as he had asked. "Hey, I heard that!" Rowen stated.
Ryu just chuckled at Rowen's response before looking at Sain and Red. "Hey, it was no problem at all. I'm sure you two would have done the same in my position."
"Heh, I may be dead but we'll hang around. That means, Rowen, no slacking off! Sorry I couldn't heal your eye though, bud." Rowen just shook his head at that, smiling. He might not be able to see in one eyeball but he wasn't angry with Sain for dying on him.
"It's alright, Sain. I've still got one eye that can see. I thank you though for healing it as best you could." The two shared a smile at each other before the attention turned to Red as he focused on Jean one final time.
Jean couldn't help but tear up again as Red spoke to her, saying how if it hadn't been for her that he would have died a lot sooner. It was her that Red had found a family in because of their strong friendship. Jean had thought of Red as a little brother she never had. Hearing him say that he had loved her, Jean had to fight the tears once more. "Y-You were like the brother I've never had...I thought of you as one, Red. I-I wish...we could've all had more time together....I love you too, Red. A-And...I'm not sure if you knew it, I wanted to tell you this sooner but...Artemis is your brother...he is a Loki."
Seeing Red and Sain, Jean wiped away at the tears on her face and tried to smile. "Goodbye, Red...Sain."
Just before Red decided to go, Sain paused as if just realizing something. Grinning over at Rowen, he spoke. "Oh, and Rowen...Jean...say hello to the kids for us!" laughing one final time, Sain left with Red into Kingdom Hearts leaving behind a very surprised and confused Rowen and Jean. The doors closed one final time.
Jean felt sad even though their parting hadn't been too bad since they all got to say goodbye. As if sensing her sadness, she felt a strong hand on her shoulder and looked up. It was Rowen. Smiling at her, despite having a similar sad look in his eyes, he spoke. "C'mon, Jean...let's go to Land of Dragons. Our home is your home, after all." Ryu and Dyne both nodded at that, smiling over at her as she looked over at them in surprise.
After a short moment, Jean nodded and they turned away from the doors, Jean casting back one last look before the doors finally faded away and the scene returned to whence it was. The group silently filed out of the room and out of the castle. When they did, they came across a familiar face.
"....Annalese..." Jean had spoken the young vampire's name. Her tone had been soft and gentle because she could see the look of sorrow on her face. The vampire just shook her head rapidly, refusing to let them speak.
"My friend is dead, I have no friends anymore!" she stated.
"That's not true...you still have me." Annalese looked up at Jean in surprise. She didn't think Jean ever thought of her as a friend until now. Only Red had said he was her friend but Red was gone now. She had sensed his fate but hadn't been able to go to him to help. She had failed her only friend, at least that was what she had thought.
Jean placed a hand on her shoulder as did Rowen. "You too, Annalese. Come back with us, we can all hang together." It was Rowen who had spoken for the lot of them. Shocked, Annalese ended up leaving with them all to Land of Dragons.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Five Years Later...
Ever since they had returned to Land of Dragons, everyone's lives had changed. Ryu wound up taking over a military branch at the palace, teaching men how to fight as he had been taught. It was all thanks to his past teachings with Jean and Mr. Wilder that Ryu had been able to obtain a very respectable status in the army. Always, he returned to the temple to visit his friends.
Dyne, like he had inaudibly confirmed to Red, watched over his older brother. It was thanks to Dyne that Rowen finally opened up to Jean. Rowen and Jean ended up dating for two years before tying the knot. Sometimes Dyne accompanied Ryu on his missions.
Annalese time and again, visited the temple as often as she could. Her memory had gotten a lot better and she seemed to have an air about her that suggested she had obtained a stronger power. Where she used to be very sad, she was now very happy because...where the others couldn't, Annalese could see those who had already passed on and knew they weren't alone.
As for Jean and Rowen...
"Hey Dyne, come on in!" Rowen stated, stepping aside to let his brother in. Dyne looked rather flustered, giving Rowen an unhappy look as he walked inside the temple. Once again, Rowen had been up to his old tricks with the password. Dyne couldn't talk but it was embarrassing all the same for him to have heard it. Ryu walked in right after Dyne, looking just as unhappy.
"Rowen, for once in your life could you just give us a normal password?" Rowen just chuckled at that. "So, where's the little one?" Ryu questioned, looking around. Rowen smiled at that before gesturing for them to follow.
"He's in here." With that, Rowen lead the way into the living room. There, Jean was found sitting on a cushion watching her two year old son playing with Annalese. In her arms was a newborn, another son.
"You got me, Red!" Annalese said in a false, agonized way before falling to the floor, pretending she was dead. Little Red giggled seeing her fall to the floor. He knew she wasn't really dead. Since her time with the humans, Annalese had seemed rather off. Her usual cheery self had seemed to become more serious as if she had matured a bit. Despite that, she was still eager to play around with little Red.
Even though he was named after Red, Jean's best friend, he didn't have features like him. He had his mother's bright green eyes and his father's dark blue hair. Right now, it was too early to tell how he would be as a person. Seeing Dyne and Ryu, Jean smiled over at them. "Hey, guys." Dyne walked over, his previously unhappy face now thrilled as he sat next to Jean and looked at the little one in her arms.
"Ah, so that's him, eh? What did you two name him?" Ryu questioned, sitting in a cushion next to Dyne while Jean handed the baby to Dyne for him to hold.
"I've named him-!" she was interrupted by Red as he hobbled over to hug his mother, cutting her off short. Life really seemed to be getting on well for them all. It was obvious that Jean had named her son after Red, a heroic young man she had ever known for someone so young. It was a moment where things seemed to be falling into place.

Secret Ending
Five years. A lot had changed in five years. A single hooded figure in a gray cloak stood in front of the castle in the Keyblade Graveyard. The Keyblade Graveyard though had not changed. It looked the same as it always did. Wild tornadoes tormented the land in the distance. Thousands of keyblades lined the area in front of the castle.
The hooded figure though did not stop to examine such things. The figure strolled right up to the main doors of the castle. Noticing the set of dragon bones at the base it was odd to see that in five years they had not been washed away by the sands of the Keyblade Graveyard.
The figure passed through the doors and into the main throne room. It was inhabited as it ever had been. But the figure did not come here to just gaze at the room or the memories that it brought. He continued on, coming at last to the last room. It was there that he found what he was looking for.
Two sets of bones sat on the floor. Both were male but one was much shorter then the other. The figure couldn't help but smile at seeing those set of bones. It was for them that he had come for. Extending his arms two blasts of energy pumped from his hands as they collided with the set of bones.
As the energy struck the bones skin and hair grew on each until once again living eyes looked at the figure. Both were in shock to see that they were alive, glancing down at there arms in confusion. "I don't understand." The boy asked.
Lakari pulled back the hood of his cloak. The boy and the other looked completely shocked. "You're supposed to be dead. I saw that you died."
Smiling Lakari shook his head. "You all saw what I wanted you to see. Come Artemis, Mr. Wilder. I have much to do and very little time to get it done."
