Red awoke to the waves of the ship moving. Time had passed by very quickly while he was asleep. The first thing he noticed upon waking was the fact that everything was sharper. He could see colors he had never even seen before.
In addition he just felt great. He felt like he had a constant adrenaline rush. He could run in place for hours and hours upon end. Part of Red's mind considered this as different, but the rest of him didn't care.
"Is this because of Annalese's blood?"[/i] It had to be! What other reason could there be? Slowly rising, he made his way towards the deck.
-------------------------
The Captain sighed as the ship finally began moving. It had taken a while before they were finally able to get the mast up. But now that it was finally moving the ship began to take speed once again. Captain White's ship wasn't the fastest ship in the sea, but it was very quick none the less.
With a smile towards the hard working pirates he spoke. "Go on you scally wags. You've earned your rest!" He told Jean, and company.
-----------------------------------
Artemis was exhausted. He hadn't thought that it would be so hard to put up a simple mast. It had taken the rest of the day before they were finally able to finish everything. He hadn't had this work out in quite a while. Repairing the sail of the ship was easy. It was putting it back up and repairing the broken wood that made the work out.
Walking towards the lower decks he was a bit surprised to see Red on the way up. He was still a bit uneasy about the teen. After all he had tried to kill him for the better of a year. His forgiveness was something Artemis could never ask for. But he had given it anyway.
He did notice that Red was acting a bit different. He was glancing around as if he had never seen above the deck anymore. Still Artemis didn't want to say anything. So he went ahead and passed with a simple nod.

While her human friend slept, Annalese had spent her time away from the rest of the group. Not because she was fighting with hunger, she no longer hungered thanks to the help of Red. She was just usually solitairy. That and she didn't want to be around should the others learn of what she had done, well almost did. She still didn't like the idea of bumping into the old healer.
Only those with great perception would be able to locate her sitting upon one of the masts looking out at the sea.
-------------------------------------------
It had been a long and tedious day but finally, the mast had been put up. Wiping her forehead, Jean sighed with relief. "We did it.
"Finally!" stated Rowen.
Knowing they could all rest now, they began to go their own ways. Jean and Rowen made their way below deck, unaware of Red or what happened with Lakari and Sain.

At last the ship was moving. Captain White would have jumped for joy if he was alone. The farther the ship moved, the faster they got away from the creatures. How much longer before they returned? And how much longer before they noticed that he did not have the pendant. While he had sent them to Whitecap Bay, a good three days of sailing with favorable wind, he doubted that they would be gone much more then that.
The creatures were swift, and even more so under the water. It would take them half that to get there. And Captain White just had to assume that it wouldn't take them more then a day to capture a mermaid. With loosing a day they had maybe three more before the creatures returned.
Captain White could only hope that they would reach land by then. Noticing Jeb on the deck below, White called out to the kid. "Jeb! Come up here!"
Jeb ran up with ethusiasm. He was a good kid, would make an excelent pirate some day. "Yes captain?" Jeb asked.
"Run to my quarters and fetch the map on my desk." Captain White replied. Jeb nodded and ran off.
It didn't take too long for the boy to reutrn with a rolled up parchment. Taking a hold of it, Captain White opened the map. They were currently traveling in the Carribean sea. The nearest land from their current position was a jungle island about three and a half days with the current wind. Unhabitied, but it would have to do.
Captain Whtie rolled up the parchment and returned it to Jeb. They would speed for that island.
-------------------------------------------
Red had just missed Jean. Not that he would have noticied her probably. He was to busy enjoying his new abilities. If that was what you wanted to call them. Walking across the deck, Red found himself simply staring at the sea. It was amazing! So different from how he had seen it before.
Leaning over the railing that prevented him from falling into the sea he simply stared and stared. He didn't knwo how much time had passed. But before he knew it the sun was coming up again. It was another day. And watching the sunrise was like something he had never seen. It was simply beuatiful.
---------------------------
The next three days passed with little happenings. The ship did not face any more tragedies. Captain White was greatful for that. As the sun came up once again, Captain White began to worry more and more. They would reach shore today. But would it be before the return of the sea creatures?
((OOC: Hope you don't mind the time skip. And sorry I haven't replied in the last few days.))

(OOC: It's fine and no worries lol.) Jean still wondered about Artemis's last name. Surely, she had heard it somewhere before? It wasn't a common last name, from what she knew of. So, it wasn't like she had simply heard of it off the streets somewhere in Midgar or Kalm. 'I couldn't have imagined it!' she thought.
As she got below decks, she found Sain working on mending someone's wounded arm. From the looks of it, the man had gotten a heavy slash there. Sain's work was nearly finished, only half way done.
Rowen, for the most part, had gone quiet as he went over to his brother whom was already fast asleep. Mostly everyone below deck was asleep or out of earshot. "Jean...I know this isn't exactly a time to be asking this but...what happened with your father?" Rowen had finally turned to look at Jean while everyone else was busy. He had a serious look on his face and the way he crossed his arms suggested that he wouldn't quit asking until she gave him an answer.
Well, Jean didn't hold it against him, he did have a right to know. After all, her father did train them before Jean took over completely as their general. All of them out of their group held a deep respect for her father. Rowen and Dyne especially since he treated them well compared to how their own family did.
"Er...well, that...thing...Silver possessed him in Gaia. I fought him and he went from the previous guy's body to his. I didn't see it coming...and once a year is up, I will have to fight him to save my father's soul and body. But..." she trailed off and sighed. Just thinking about it unsettled her. Silver's sudden affections bothered her, especially when it was obvious the thing had the guts to just do as it pleased. It disturbed her to think it would try worse.
Rowen listened intently before nodding his head when she trailed off. "So, that's what happened...why didn't you tell us sooner? You know we'd help you out with anything, Jean." Jean just shook her head. Her reasons for not involving the others was simply because she wanted them to focus more on the aid for Red. That was a flaw of her's. She would put the needs of others before her own.
"I...I wanted you guys to just help us with one thing. I didn't want to get you guys further involved with my problems." Rowen shook his head at this as he glanced at the floor.
"That's the thing, Jean. You always put others before your own needs. Regardless of how much work is ahead of us, you know damn well that we'd still help you. Why do you gotta be like that? Dyne, Ryu, Sain and myself...? We'd help you and Red out just because we wanted to. We don't care how much must be done if a friend needs us. Why don't you like having friends help out? I know you were once used to doing things on your own but...c'mon, Jean! This isn't that military branch anymore. You don't have to accomplish a task on your own, it doesn't all just rest on your shoulders to do. We're a team! We care about you, you know."
Jean lowered her gaze, feeling ashamed hearing this. "I...I didn't mean to offend you that way. I just..." she sighed.
"I know, just include us more often, okay Jean? You've got us, Red and that strange girl...even that old fart. Rely on us a bit more, that's all I'm asking." Jean nodded at that before Sain finally rejoined them. He didn't appear to remember a thing that took place with Lakari moments ago.
"This was a beneficial chance for my healing powers, Rowen. With more practice, I might be able to figure out a way to restore your eyesight in that eyeball."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Annalese remained on the mast, just gazing about the scenery. Since she was what she was, she was much more used to the look of things compared to Red. Red might've been in awe with the abilities the vampire blood she injected him with but this was normal to Annalese so what he would think was amazing was nothing new to her since she saw things like this every day. Still, it was a gift to be able to look upon the rising sun and not hiss in pain and shrivel up, turning to ash and dust.
"Brother will be most displeased with me...I hope we do not run into him on our travels!" she said aloud to herself. Just the thought of her more aggressive elder sibling sent a shiver down her spine. He would surely hurt her. If he knew her intentions of maybe turning human, he'd surely kill her. In his eyes, it was a disgrace to want to fall so low as to becoming human. Vampires should remain as vampires. That and she was worried how he'd react to her human friends.
Jean and Red would be the most at risk should he come across them all. Jean, simply because she was the age her brother preferred to feed upon and Red because he was Annalese's closer friend.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Three days had passed without incident. Things went on as normal as could be on the ship for the group. Being stuck on the ship, some were getting a bit antsy. Annalese couldn't sit still for very long, growing anxious because she just knew that her brother would be searching for her. He never liked it when she didn't visit him on the times they had arranged. Why he did this, she didn't really know. It wasn't like he cared about her.

The effects of Annalese's blood passed upon Red waking three days later. He had slept a bit longer then usual, most likely because of the fact that the rest of Annalese's blood was passing through his system. Thus it was near noon by the time Red walked onboard the deck of the ship.
The sudden shout from ontop made Red blink his sleepy eyes. "LAND HO!" The words belonged to the lookout. The pirates eyed the man's pointing arm. They rushed to the side of the boat in excitment. Sleepy Red traveled with the moving crowd. Indeed land was within sight. Red could make out the green of a vast jungle in the distance on the island. In addition to the sandy beaches and rolling hills of course.
"What's there captain?" One of the pirates asked the Captain, Red didn't catch the origin of the voice.
Captain White steered the ship as always. He gave the crew a small smile. "Treasure lads! Treasure!"
Those words spread like wildfire. Soon everyone was aboard deck as the captain pulled the ship as close as he could to the island. Letting the anchor down, he ordered the mingiling pirates to let down the row boats.
Red found himself waiting for everyone. Artemis and Lakari were the first to appear on the scene. "Did you guys hear? Were hunting treasure!" Red seemed like a little kid again.

Three days of nothing really going on, many of the group had fallen into a sort of lull. Once the third day had come, it was a relief hearing land was within sight during that morning. Coming out onto the deck, Jean squinted at the glistening waves toward the horizon where she saw land peaking out from the water all around it. It surely looked promising.
"...What a relief..." she murmured to herself. She had arrived later than Red, Lakari and Artemis. Behind her arrived Ryu and Sain. Rowen and Dyne weren't much of the early rising sort so were still groggy waking at the moment.
"...Treasure?" she murmured when she heard some gossiping pirates nearby. Well, that was fine and dandy but Jean had no intentions of getting into the spoils of anything. Treasure was nice but there were things they had to worry about that was more important. In her eyes, anyway.
Annalese had joined the human pirates, looking out over the sea at the island. Compared to how she used to be, she was very quiet and simply stared out at the land before them. The thought of treasure didn't seem to affect her in the slightest. Vampires didn't really have to lust over objects. The only thing she cared about was the ring on her finger that kept her from burning in the sunlight.
Jean located Artemis, Lakari and Red in the crowd and wandered over to them accompanied by Ryu and Sain. "I didn't think we'd be getting onto land so soon, did you?"

Artemis nodded. "We share similar thoughts. I expected us a few more days at the least before we reached land." He told Jean.
Red was to busy thinking about the adventure ahead of them to listen to their conversations. His mind was full of treasure and other pirate things. This was exactly what he had hoped for. Now they would really have a chance to experience what it was like to be a pirate. There was nothing more "piratey" then hunting for treasure!
Of course the thought that now that they were going on land they could probably leave the world whenever they wanted never entered Red's mind. It took everything to not jump off the boat and swim for shore!
It wasn't long before they were all in a boat, rowing towards land. Captain White of course was the last to leave the ship. A few of the crew stayed aboard of course. It would do no good for some sort of large wave, creature, or pirate, to come aboard the ship and steal it away in the night.
As their boat struck shore, Captain White shouted to the lot of pirates. "Men strap up the tents! We'll make base here on the beach. On the morrow we go treasure hunting!" The pirates all cheered at that, but not Red.
He wanted to go treasure hunting now! It was obvious from the sower look that crossed his face upon hearing the Captain's words. Lakari was the one who noticed Red's reply first. "You will have your adventure soon enough. Learn to be patient."
That didn't help Red's mood one bit. He turned to Jean. "Can't I just go exploring for a while?"
--------------------------------
Somewhere far off, in fact somewhere not even in the same world, a figure stood in front of a dark portal. Where he was or who was with him seemed to not even phase the man. He had his focus on one thing and one thing only. The portal. He worked endlessly with his eyes focused only on that portal. Suddenly though the figure let out a squeal of delight. "I have found them!" The figure told the teen who paced the room.
Ogre turned to the hooded figure. "Good. It's best I go then." Taking in a deep breath he walked into the portal.

Jean looked over at Artemis when he spoke. Like her, he had thought the same thing. Strange how they got here so quickly. Were they in a rush? Maybe it was just because the pirates wanted their treasure? She wasn't sure but they had moved faster than she had thought they would have.
-----------------------------------
On land, Jean looked about the area they went to. It didn't seem foreboding but appearances could be deceiving. Right now, she didn't know what might happen today as she stood there with the others. Annalese just swayed to and fro on her feet in what appeared to be boredom or just simple absent-mindedness.
It wasn't long before Red began to show impatience. Looking over at her young friend, Jean raised an eyebrow. "With all the luck we've had so far, do you think it would be safe to just waltz by yourself out there exploring?" she questioned him.
Rowen glanced around and sighed after stretching a little. It was pretty boring, this island. He was used to action rather than quiet periods of time. "It's quiet here...too quiet."

Red puffed up in disappointment. He wanted to go exploring! He wanted to go treasure seeking! Everyone seemed to be too tired or weary to do anything. Well no matter. He would wait for the opportunity then sneak off. He wouldn't go far, and it wouldn't be for long either.
He just wanted to get a small look around is all. Then his curiosity would be satisfied and he'd return to the others. Now all he needed was an opportunity. Glancing around, Red tried to figure out when would the best time to get away be. Perhaps it would be best to wait for nightfall. When everyone went to sleep he could sneak off, and they wouldn't even know he was gone!
Well until then he'd just have to busy himself. The pirates were busy putting up tents and such so that they could all sleep on solid ground for the night. The captain had instructed that no one return to the ship without his permission first.
As he watched and waited for the sun to go down, Red was to busy figuring out where he'd go instead of conversing with people. He was vaguely even aware of Jean and Rowen talking not too far away. Artemis was busy helping with the tents until the sun began to set in the sky. Annalese... well he had no idea where the vampire was.
Red's mind was filled with what he might encounter on the journey tonight. Hopefully nothing too dangerous. His keyblade would protect him though. That much he was sure. Before he knew it the sun was slowly leaving the sky as a dusk set in.

Jean sighed to herself noting how Red didn't appear to like the answer she gave him. It was understandable that he would want to partake on the treasure hunt since he essentially was still a kid by her's and her fellow mercenary friends' standards. Unlike him, they were in their early twenties or mid-twenties. Their lives, where not as harsh as his, had been mostly conditioned to be more cautious of things considering they all came from a military background.
"You two have been talking a lot, lately!" mused Ryu as he came over to where Jean and Rowen were talking. The statement earned him flat looks from the two. Ryu just chuckled. "Relax, I'm not here to tease you. So, are we heading out from here or are we going to go on this treasure hunt?" he questioned Jean.
Jean shrugged. "I've no intentions of staying somewhere if there's no need for it but Red seems like he wants to go on the hunt. Considering our past travels, it might do him some good to have some fun before rotten luck hits us again...even still, I'd rather not stick around but he seems adamant about it."
"I wouldn't mind a treasure hunt, that would be fun...I just hate quiet places!" Rowen stated.
"Of course you can't, you're never one to sit still for long anyway, Rowen!" Sain stated, coming over to the group.
As for where Annalese was, the vampire had slipped away from the others for the time being. She had been pretty reclusive since the whole incident with Lakari. She hadn't wandered far from them though since she was located some ways in the tree tops, looking at the ground below. Her worries were mainly not just about how the others would react if they found out about her biting Red but also about her brother and if they should bump into him.

Red pretended to sleep soundly inside his single's tent. Captain White had called for an early turn in because he wanted to start early the next day. Captain White had called for three shifts for the night. Red had deemed it best to set out when they did the first shift change.
Because of this decision it was some two hours later that Red finally exited the tent. He was dressed in darker clothes then what he wore previously. "Best to blend in with the night." He thought to himself.
Unfortunately Red's tent was right next to Jean's and on the other side was Lakari's. He figured the old man would be a heavy sleeper, but he didn't know about Jean. She had those sharp senses. If anyone was going to catch him, it would most likely be her.
Because of that he took his steps one at a time, taking care to step lightly. He got literally five steps before a sudden sound made him freeze in place. "I have no luck at all!"[/i] Red thought to himself. Shoulders hunched, Red prepared for the berating that was sure to come.
Slowly turning around he was surprised to see no one. He was sure he had heard the sound of footsteps behind him. He glanced left and right, yet saw nothing. "Did I imagine it?" Red whispered to himself.
Turning back the way he was going, Red set out once again. Somehow he managed to get into the forest before the pirate on watch noticed him. The woods were darkness personified. Strange shadows and shapes seemed to walk the night. They were made light by the moon as it briefly shone through the spaces between the towering trees.
-----------------------------
Ogre stepped out of the portal onto the beach. He was slightly surprised to find himself in the midst of some sort of camp. What world was this exactly? Ogre regretted not asking the Spider when he had the chance.
Ogre was older now. Sixteen, Ogre was growing the shadow of a beard on his face. While Red and company were lost in the World of Inbetween, Ogre was dealing with the chaos of the Enchanted Domain. When Artemis had killed the lord of the slums, a war had erupted between the other two lords of the slum.
He wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for Master Issac. However, the man had made it clear what Ogre's options were. Either join them or live in the slums. There wasn't much of a choice anymore. Red had made that clear. It was his fault after all. Red was Ogre's friend no more!
"Who are you?" The voice broke Ogre's thoughts. It was the pirate on guard. He walked over to Ogre, his hand on the saber on his belt. Ogre didn't wait a moment longer. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a single steel triangle. It was only three inches long, but each side was as sharp as any sword blade. Ogre's arm pumped and the triangle spun through the air.
The pirate didn't know what hit him! He dropped to the floor, blood flowing form the wound in his neck.

Night, it was a vampire's daytime if they remained night walkers. Having no need to sleep, since she wasn't human, Annalese lingered in the trees above. Sitting there in solitude, she tried to patiently wait for the humans to start waking up. It wasn't easy though for someone of her patience level. Occasionally she would move around as if she were anxious to get moving again. One couldn't blame her though, her nerves had been on edge ever since she remembered that she forgot to meet with her brother. Good things were not to come of it, that was for sure. Her friends might even end up suffering because of her mistake too.
Hearing noise on the ground, Annalese's pupils turned into cat-like slits as she focused on the ground. One's scent was familiar. Red was somewhere lurking in the shadows below, his footsteps sounded rather...sneaky. Like he was wandering out into the night knowing he should be remaining with the camp.
Since this was giving her something to do, she quietly followed from above, her movements could not be heard since vampires were just as light as elves as they were as swift as elves.
------------------------------------------------------------
Jean, on the other hand, had thought she heard something. Usually, she slept easily but not tonight. She was still bothered by the fact her father was still possessed by that strange creature that called itself Silver. She had no idea what to do. She was trapped, it felt like. It was next to impossible for her to try and get some sleep whenever her mind kept racing about the events that had yet to come.
What were they going to do about Red's situation? She knew they were going to protect them as best they could while aiding him. However, what were they going to do about the group that chased the kid incessantly? Who were they and what did they all look like?
Looking out toward the edge of her tent, she could've sworn she saw a figure walk past and toward the trees. 'That kid doesn't listen, does he?' she wondered. Jean assumed it was Red since it was either him or Lakari nearby her own tent. The others were a bit further away in the camp.
Silently, she climbed out, strapping her sword to her waist in case. Pulling back the flap of her tent, she looked ahead outside. Yes, she definitely could see Red's retreating back but only just barely. The hint of movement was what had given him away since his dark clothing made it hard to spot him. Jean frowned a little after him. As if he were sensing her unhappy gaze, the kid's shoulders had suddenly slouched as if he expected to be yelled at or something.
Jean would have but she was presently too far back at the time before something else caught her attention. It was on the other end of the camp but she could've sworn she heard someone speak. 'What was that?' she wondered. It gave Red enough time to slip from her sight.

Red was unaware of Annalese silently watching below him. He was to excited about what he might find. He had put much thought into where he was going to go. He had no idea where this treasure was exactly. But he had heard the captain talking to the first mate about a large moss covered rock. That was the first land mark they were supposed to be looking for.
If he found that rock, he could help them find it tomorrow. Red figured the hardest part of finding treasure was finding the first landmark. Once you knew where to start, it was just a matter of following the map. They would all thank him tomorrow!
So he continued his search, doing his best to try and see in the night.
------------------------
Ogre didn't as much as glance at the dead body as he walked over it. Ogre was not a stranger to killing, but he found no joy in it. He only killed because he had to. Just like Red's death would come because it had too. Perhaps he might enjoy it a little....
Making his way through the camp, Ogre noticed the silent Jean standing in the darkness. He was dressed in a black cloak that hid all but his face. There was no point in hiding his face this night. As he came within viewing distance of Jean he stopped.
He spoke, his voice just above a whisper so that only she might hear. There was no point in waking everyone else. "Move. I don't need to hurt you."

Annalese was mainly curious as to what Red would be doing out here in the middle of the night. Humans normally slept at this hour. That and she didn't want for him to bump into her sibling, should he be here. Her brother was a dangerous vampire. Unlike Annalese, he was the type to sometimes drain his prey completely.
Well, there was one good thing that she was benefiting from and that was the exercise. Hanging with Red and the others, she didn't get to really do much and had usually stayed in one place. He was fun to follow around. If Red knew, he'd probably not be too pleased that she was technically stalking him through the night.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Jean stayed put as she saw something coming her way. Carefully, she lowered her hands close to where her swords were. Her expression was unreadable as she saw a face heading her way. The closer they got, the easier it was to see that it was none other than Ogre. Remembering the time in Red's world, she wasn't surprised to see Ogre here in this manner. He had made it clear that he wasn't friends with Red anymore.
Knowing Ogre was here, she guessed her answer as to who spoke to him must have been a hapless victim. "Do you seriously think you can hurt an ex-general, Ogre?" she questioned him evenly, her tone just as low as his own. Her bright green eyes were focused on the teenager carefully for any signs of movement. It was harder to see at night but she had confidence in her reflexes should she need to.
She considered it a lucky thing Red headed out. She wasn't sure how he would handle this nor was she sure if anyone went with him. She hoped someone did because this encounter meant trouble was afoot again. It wasn't unexpected that trouble would find its way toward them all once again. It seemed like a pretty common thing, really.

Ogre's eyes tightened in distaste. Heroes! Ogre had once seen himself as one of them. He had been a fool. Heroes didn't exist. There was only pain and suffering. Heroes faced it just as any villain did. The difference was that heroes did it with a smile on their face. They refused to let the suffering and pain show. In fact they tried to make "light" of the situation.
Heroes were insane. Villains accepted such things. And they dealt with it. Ogre had learned from the very beginning that you could only look out for yourself. No one was going to come and save the day. Jean was one of these self deluded individuals. Her and Red both.
Ogre stretched out his hand. From his hand a black handle formed in his grip. It was lined with golden lighting as a blade seemed to grow from the edge of the hilt. It was a long silver blade that seemed to almost glow in the light until it reached to its end. From the end a black steel seemed to cape around the edge and down three forth of the blade until it stretched across it and ended in spikes. From the end of the blade three triangles sprouted from the edge completing Ogre's keyblade.
Pointing the blade at Jean he spoke once more. "I will not ask again."
------------------------------
Red continued his search. He had no knowledge of what was happening back at camp between Ogre and Jean. Nor did he know of his silent guardian above in the trees. But as he continued in the forest a sudden sound of running water made him smile. The captain had said that it was just past the waterfall. Perhaps that was what it was!
Quickening his pace, Red headed towards the sound of moving water.

Jean watched carefully as Ogre grew angry with her. She had no intentions of moving. If he wanted to do Red harm again, then he was going to have to go through her first. She just hoped none of the others woke up to help her. She didn't want someone else getting involved and end up injured. Her expression remained calm as she watched a blade form in Ogre's hand.
It didn't take long before her eyebrows lifted a little in response. She was dealing with a keyblade wielder it seemed. 'This makes things a little more dangerous!' she thought uneasily. Despite that, she wasn't going to back down. She was protecting her friends. Where there was suffering in the worlds, there was also peace and prosperity. Jean was one of the ones who fought for that.
Unsheathing her obsidian bladed twin swords, Jean looked at Ogre with a raised eyebrow. "Ask? You never did ask, all you did was try to order. Sorry, Ogre but I'm not backing down."
----------------------------------------------------------
The sudden sound of water made Annalese frown. She hated water! Scrunching up her nose with distaste, she reluctantly followed Red from above still. Just where was the young human going anyway? She had half the mind to ask him and probably unknowingly scare the living daylights out of him if she were to do it soon.

Red found the waterfall! He couldn't see well in the dark, but the moon made light of the waters as it crashed down into darkness below. Red would hate to fall in that fast moving water! Especially since he couldn't even see the bottom.
Still the water that he had come to crossed the entire way. The water moved with such swiftness that Red knew if he fell in the water there would be no stopping himself from going over the cliff. Still.... He had to cross the water somehow!
The trees above were not as dense as they were in the woods. The moon showed him some stones going across. He could jump across those! The rocks couldn't be larger then a foot. He would be taking a big risk by doing this. Should he just turn back?
It would be the smarter thing to do. Yet... Red sought the adventure. There could be no adventure without danger. "Sometimes.... You just got to do it!" Red said to himself aloud.
He leaped.
-----------------------
Ogre shook his head. "Always a hero. Always another fucking hero." Ogre was not speaking to her. The sentence was more to himself then to anyone else. While he spoke there was only sorrow in his voice. No anger. Yes his eyes held that deep anger, but his voice spoke sorrow. Perhaps that was why the Master called his weapon Sorrow's Beat.
"I am sorry Jean." That was all he said before he attacked. He did not have Jean's speed. Nor did he have her strength. But he had the dark of night. And for his keyblade, that was all he needed. Ogre's weapon was emitted a darkness that covered himself in darkness. The naked eye could not see him in the dark of night.
Ogre charged attacked to Jean's right. He came at her in complete silence, weapon slashing in a curve, aimed right for her open chest.

Annalese looked at the water below in distaste as she waited for Red to decide on what he was going to do next. With his human legs, she didn't see any way for him to leap across safely unless he could get on those stones. The stones themselves didn't look wide enough for much comfort. So, what was he going to do? Was he going to turn back and head for the camp again?
Speaking of the camp, Annalese didn't sense anything wrong in that direction since she was pretty far over here with Red.
She blinked down as Red decided to jump across. In the current lighting, she didn't think he could really see where he was going. She watched with bated breath as he jumped. 'This human is almost crazy!' she thought.
-------------------------------------------------------
Jean looked back at Ogre, not really liking the idea of having to fight a kid again. However, she promised that she would help Red. Even if Red wasn't being careful and taking into account the self sacrifices others were making on his account. Her grip tightened on her weapon as Ogre suddenly became engulfed in darkness. It happened so fast, she couldn't detect where the kid was anymore.
She knew he had to be planning an attack so she stood at the ready with her weapons raised. It looked like Ogre didn't want to have to do this but he was still going to. She didn't know who he was with now but it was clear that today, he was an enemy.
The air next to her suddenly moved. Her hairs standing on end, Jean moved and just barely. However, that didn't mean Ogre didn't hit her. Although, the way he got her probably wasn't a way neither of them had expected either. Gasping, Jean felt a breeze and leaped away. "You little perv!" she snarled. Thank goodness it was in the dead of night or this would be worse.

Red's foot found the stone. And the next one. And the next one. Thank goodness too. As he made it across the water to land his was half surprised he hadn't slipped on them. Red had held his breath the entire time. He only let it out when his foot was once again on solid ground.
Now all he had to do was find that moss covered rock! Unaware of Annalese on the other side, he was even more so unaware of the twenty creatures that suddenly sprouted from the water. The sea creatures had returned! They carried no mermaid with them, as the captain had requested. Why would their be? They were not under his control anymore.
---------------------
The darkness that covered Ogre dispersed as soon as Jean dodged the attack. He once again stood in the night. However he had not continued his advance. There was no need for either of them to get hurt. If Jean would stand down there was no need to even continue his attack. "Jean.... I don't want to...."
Ogre's words trailed off. His eyes had turned to the beach where one sea creature after another strolled from the sea. Their was a madness to their yellow eyes that had not been their before. Saliva dripped from between their lips like a dog. Their teeth flashed between open grins.
Lost for words, Ogre watched as one of the creatures disappeared in the tent. A moment later a scream sounded and was then shut off abruptly. The sea creatures had returned. And they weren't here to follow orders.
Ogre though had a mission. The pirates were awaking, but they were not prepared for the attack that was coming. Ogre saw this as an opportunity. Even as he watched, a creature headed for the tent that Rowen and Sain slept in. He glanced to Jean. What would she do? Prevent him.... or save her friends?

Jean's face was red but livid too. Making sure nothing could be seen, she turned with her face contorted with anger. Of all places he had to aim there! "YOU-!" she exclaimed but was cut off by what Ogre had to say. He was talking like he didn't want to fight her. Then why come here and try to do them all harm? Why come here if you couldn't bring yourself to do what you were ordered to do?
She would have tried to go after Ogre again but something else happened that neither expected. Out of the sea, the creatures from before had emerged. Turning at the sound of a scream, only to be cut off prematurely, had torn her attention off of Ogre.
The creatures were definitely back and it looked like they were no longer taking orders from the captain. Especially when they killed off a pirate before scampering off to another tent! One she knew to be that of Rowen's and Sain's! Looking between the tents and Ogre, she had no choice but to go and warn her friends.
"This isn't over, Ogre!" with that, she ran off to the tents. Slashing a sword at the creature, she pulled back the flap to Sain's and Rowen's tents, forgetting her predicament in the heat of the moment. "Guys! Wake up!" she called. There was a stir but then there was a long awkward silence.
"Um...J-Jean? Y-YOu uh...n-need to um...c-cover up!" came a shaky voice from within the tent. COnfused, Jean looked in at who was speaking. It was Sain and he was covering his eyes. Rowen, on the other hand, just kept staring in obvious surprise and his face looked like it had colored a bit. "Y-You're...shirt!" stammered Sain.
It was only then that Jean was reminded about what happened and quickly let go of the flap. Hurriedly, she covered herself, cursing Ogre as she did so. "S-Sorry!" she apologized. "A-Anyways, there's sea creatures attacking the pirates and one almost got you guys!" she told them. Sain and Rowen were out in an instant, both appeared to be a little awkward after what happened. All of them woke up the rest before getting ready for battle.
---------------------------------------------------------
Annalese watched Red miraculously make it to the other side of the river. 'Huh, he made it!' she thought. Her thoughts were cut off by movement from the water. Looking down, she allowed her senses to kick in. Despite the strong scent of water and Red, she could smell the sea creatures from before. The hairs on the back of her neck rose at that.
Lowering herself onto a lower branch, Annalese let out a hiss as she lashed out at one with her whip. "Vile creatures from the depths of water!" she snarled.
