White nodded. Yes going to the cave would be the best for them. "Your right going to the cave is a great idea. I'm glad I thought of it. Let's get going then."
The boy with the magical talking animals had not told them how to get to the cave exactly. But White figured it had to be somewhere along the ocean. Otherwise how could they pull their ship in there. The question was should they back track? Or try going on a slant over more.
Figuring a slant would be the best option, White took the lead. The claw marks on his back had stopped bleeding and were even beginning to heal up. Thank goodness too. The trip through the forest was a bit harsher then before because they were not following a direct trail. But it wasn't too bad. They made good timing.
When White finally broke through the forest he couldn't help but smile. They were standing on a small cliff by the sea. And to the right down below was a large cavern. And outside of that cavern a large pirate ship was docked. Not wanting to be seen, White ducked down. He watched as a row boat with four pirates paddled into the cavern.
"No way they are the only one's pirating that ship. Our best bet would be to sneak into the water by the cave and try to swim in. Or maybe there's another entrance down there." The top of the cavern was lined with forest. It would make it sneaking over to the cave easier. White waited to see if Darius had any other ideas or suggestions.

Darius couldn't help but blink at White in disbelief when he mentioned that he had been the one who thought of it. 'Is this guy serious?' he wondered. Oh well, no time to waste in arguing. For now, Darius let it slide as he followed White in some random direction. Hopefully, they would find that cave and didn't end up wandering aimlessly for hours.
Traveling through the forest, Darius's leg's pain slowly turned into a dull throb. It didn't bother him as much anymore as it was when it was more fresh. Even still, he couldn't help but wince when a bit of foliage hit it as he passed by. Hopefully the blood wouldn't attract any wild animals toward them.
Eventually, the pair broke out of the forest and came upon a cliff over looking the water. There, Darius and White found a cavern where pirates were paddling a boat into it. The pirate ship from earlier was docked beside the shore, waiting.
Looking at the numbers in the boat, Darius was certain it wasn't all the men from the ship. Hearing what White said, Darius wasn't sure if there was anywhere else to go. "I'm not sure if there is from here. We'd have to look if we were and if my sister's on that ship, there's no way I'm going to risk anymore time than we need anyway." It was an agreement to swim their way in. It was tricky, sure but that was the only likely way Darius could think of.
"So, we going to do it?"

"We swim to the ship. I don't think they'd bring anyone to that cavern. We need to get to the ship."
Even though it pained him, White forced himself up and backtracked into the forest. He followed it along rounding about until they came in front of the cavern. The pirate's ship was facing right in their direction. The hardest part would be getting into the water unseen by the pirates on the ship.
"Best go one at a time. And try not to make too much of a sound when you drop in the water. I'll go first. Once I'm down I'll tread until your in the water. Then we'll go to the ship together." It was the best plan White could think of.
Once he was sure Darius understood, White made his way to the edge of the forest. He crouched down and ever so slowly shuffled along the ground until he came to the edge of the cavern. He was right next to the side of the opening. The fall was farther then he had hoped. It was about a ten foot drop. Best to dive. It would make the smoothest entrance into the water.
Taking a deep breath, White forced to his feet and leaped. He didn't dare look to the ship. He could only hope he would make it into the water unseen. He hit the water with hands over head. He looped when he entered the water and made as minimal splash as someone of his size could do. As he broke the water he waited. No cannon fire made it. Now he had to wait for Darius.

Darius gave a nod in agreement when White decided that they would swim to the ship. If Ivory was on there, Darius would make sure he made those pirates pay! No one touches his little twin sister!
As they backtracked into the forest and went to a round about way, the two came out onto the top of the cavern. The edge they were on was right next to the entrance into the cave. Hopefully no one would hear them plummet into the water. Darius didn't feel like cannon dodging in the water.
He watched as White dived into the water. Seeing him go, Darius waited a minute or so before peering over the ledge. The height they were at was way bigger than he had thought previously. Looking at it, Darius froze for a moment. Was he really going to pull through with this? Had White made it alright?
Looking down, Darius really couldn't see him from where he was right now. After another minute passed, Darius decided that if he didn't go through with this now then he'd never get to where his sister was. With Ivory in mind, Darius slowly went to the edge and dived off it, throwing caution to the winds.
With a slight plunge, he resurfaced, spluttering a little and found White there.

They had made it into the water! And no one seemed the wiser. "Alright. Let's head to the ship." Taking the lead, White swam over to the ship. Getting to the ship was easy. It was along the side of the ship when things turned dangerous.
Hanging along side he could hear voices from above. While he could not make out what was being said, there was no doubt people on that ship. When Darius joined him, it came time to make another plan.
White couldn't think of any real way of entering the ship without being noticed. There would be no way to tell until they were on the ship. And by then it would be too late. They needed a plan for everything. White's master's words drilled him silently in his head. "Plan for things to go wrong. And plan for things to go right. Always plan."
Deciding it would be best to whisper he said, "I will try to get up there unseen. If I am I will do my best to keep them away from you while you look for your sister. No doubt the Captain will make his way onto the deck if it comes to a battle."
If Darius didn't have any objections, White was ready to climb the rope ladder.

Now that they were both in the water, there was only one thing left for them to do. Hearing what White said, Darius nodded his head. Quietly, the two swam towards the pirate ship. Darius's nerves were on edge as they got closer to the ship. Any moment a pirate could peer overboard and discover them. Thankfully, lady luck appeared to be on their side today as they managed to get right up next to it.
He could hear voices on deck. Straining his ears to try and decipher if his sister might be up there, Darius stared up toward the ship, his eyebrows furrowed. If she was, he'd take every last pirate onboard and send them overboard!
It was White that redirected his attention to the situation at hand. Quietly, Darius took in what he was saying. He didn't want to get too rash and go rushing in only to find that his sister wasn't onboard and jeopardize whatever White was doing. "Alright, see you on the top!" Darius replied in a tone that only White would be able to hear. He didn't risk the chance of raising his voice a little should the pirates hear it.
Watching White clamber upward, Darius silently began to climb the ladder as well. Once White would make it, Darius would creep onto the ship when he heard no commotion. Hopefully, he too would go undetected.

Luck could only last so long. It didn't take long before he was noticed. He had just gotten aboard the ship and had taken a single step when a voice shouted out.
White spun into action. Whipping out his kantana he found himself facing three pirates. All held saber's in their hand. White found himself doing his best to simply defend. He knew that there was no way that Darius would be able to get on the ship unnoticed when they were facing the ladder.
There was only one real option. White blocked a strike and forced the man back by rushing in. His enemies went in to attack him at his side, but White was smarter then that. He actually continued with his charge and tackled the opponent to the floor. Rolling over his opponent he found himself facing the way he had came.
But now the enemy was facing him. Not wanting to kill the pirate he tackled, White thrust his blade into the man's shoulder before drawing it up to defend against another oncoming strike. That would keep the one pirate out of the game.
Hopefully Darius would take the advantage and climb aboard the ship.

As Darius began to climb, he heard some sort of commotion break out. Most likely White had been noticed by the pirates on board and was now involved in a scuffle. Hoping the guy was alright, Darius continued to pull himself up until he was just on the edge of the ship now, looking onto the deck to see what was going on. From the look of things, White was fighting the pirates. There had to be at least eight of them going after him at once.
"Shit!" he muttered aloud. Due to the angry shouts of the pirates, no one would have heard him anyways as he pulled himself up over the edge and onto the ship. Glancing around, Darius wondered where they could be holding his twin sister captive. On board, it didn't look like anyone was being contained. Maybe somewhere below deck inside the ship?
'Looks like I'm going below!' he thought. Turning to see where White was, he made a thumbs up gesture to him in thanks before running off unnoticed toward a door he believed would lead down below.
Kicking it open, Darius rushed inside, holding his pipe. After his swim in the ocean, his injury no longer bothered him. The deck was a bit dark but he could still see where he was going. Running down a hall, his hurried footfalls made dull thuds on the hard wooden floor. His heart hammered against his ribcage at the thought of finding Ivory here and what those fiends might've done to her. He wanted so much to call out her name but he dared not in case there were more pirates down here than there was up there. He wouldn't be surprised if there were.

Captain Cannon. That was his name and pirating the seas was his game. He was a large man with tan skin color and a bald head. He was seven feet tall when standing, but the way he was slouched in his chair you could never tell it. He sat at his desk studying the set of maps behind him. The map said that there was treasure in that cave.
Of course the map right next to it said there was nothing there but rocks. How did Hook ever make sense of all these maps? It made his head hurt just to think about it. Sighing Cannon pulled on his left arm and brought it on the table. For a man who actually had a full arm this would be considered an easy thing.
It was not quite so for Cannon. Where the lower half of his arm should have been was a cannon barrel attached to it. It was smaller then the cannon's on the ship but it still weighed a good one hundred pounds. Wearing no shirt, he did wear two straps over his shoulders which held small cannon balls in small pockets along the front and back of the straps.
For some it might have been considered uncomfortable. Not for Cannon. He might have a big belly, but he was the strongest person on the ship. It was no wonder Hook made him Captain. The Captain's words ringed in his head. "I have a very important mission to attend too. You shall be Captain until I return."
So far he had been doing a good job. His first job had been to modify the cannons so that they were like the one on his arm. Darkness Cannons were much better then regular ones. Captain Cannon could feel the heartless all around him. He was not a heartless himself but they were his pets. He was a man of darkness. No doubt about that.
The sudden sound of footsteps down the hallway made him pause in his reading the maps. Someone was coming? He had instructed the crew to leave him alone to study the maps. If there was one thing that Cannon did not like it was disobedience. Stretching out his right arm he pointed to the closed door. As if by signal six shadows traveled from corners of the room and into the hallway.
Whoever dared disrupt him was about to find himself facing heartless.
-------------------
There were eight, nine, ten pirates. They were coming in all directions now and it was taking all of White too just keep up with them. He was surrounded by the group of them. They all were looking for the single edge of an opening to try and slice him. White was doing his best to stop that, but he knew that eventually he would weary. And when he did he would make a mistake. That would be his downfall.
White knew he had to do something. He needed an edge. "Looks like I'm going to have to get a little serious." He said to no one in particular. White paused as electricity pumped down his arms and surrounded his blade. It clung to his blade like an extra layer.
Upon seeing this the pirates took a step back in awe. They had clearly never seen something like this before. "Come gentlemen. Let's dance!"

Darius was by no means a pirate. If he had been, he would've had the sense not to disturb the captain unless there was dire need of it. Since he wasn't a pirate and knew nothing of the fact that the captain was here, Darius would certainly be surprised by the Heartless he was about to find himself looking at in a few minutes. For the moment, he stalked down the halls, looking around. There had to be some sort of room they would be in if his sister was here captive along with anyone else.
The problem was figuring out which door. He didn't dare place a hand on a doorknob until he was sure he had a good feel as to which one it was. Not aware that his footfalls were annoying someone when he was doing his best to be silent, Darius wandered further down the hall past the captain's room.
As he did so, he regretted it. Having met the Heartless before, it didn't take him long to notice the dark shapes seeped into the floor heading one way and another to realize Heartless were onboard. "Oh...grand. You again!" Darius said aloud, not aware of there being anyone else right now as he looked in front and behind him. At this point, he didn't care much if there were pirates around to hear him since he was more concerned with the Heartless and not losing his heart to them in the process.
There were six of the little fiends. All of them Shadows as they rose up from the floor, looking back at him with their almost unblinking big yellow eyes. Not wanting to waste time, Darius extended his arm to the side. As he did so, he willed the dragon statuette to come out of his pocket and into his hand. When that happened, a bright light erupted about him.
When he reappeared, he was in his white dragon armor once again. "Bring it!" he told them.

There was something about electricity that changed things. For one it made fighting an opponent ten times as harder. The first pirate who charged White found that out fairly quickly. It was only a matter of blade clinging against blade when the electricity pulsed around his blade and shocked his opponent.
The stunned man fell to the ground in somewhat of a shock. This made the other pirates make a wide arc around him. "Get the cannon." White heard one of them shout.
"If you do that Captain will have our hide for striking the ship." Another said. White wasn't paying much attention to the owner of the voices. He was keeping his eyes peeled for anyone who tried a sneak attack.
Another said, "Well what should we do then? I don't want to end up like Boots." Apparently boots was the man who was seemingly convulsing on the floor next to him.
"Go get the Captain! He'll know what to do." As one of them ran off White took the opportunity to try and reposition himself. Darius better hurry the hell up.
-----------------
At the sound of fighting, Captain Cannon rose from his chair. Who dared to fight his little pets? When he stood Cannon was the sure tall large man that he was. He was a menacing looking man in his forties.
Cannon opened the door to the cabin and found himself starring at a man he had never seen before. Someone had stowed away on his ship! The man was busy fighting the heartless so he had yet to see Cannon. Reaching to his strap cannon took a hold of a cannon ball.
Lifting up his arm he loaded the cannon ball to the back of the small cannon on his hand. Raising his hand he took aim at the stow away. Using his other hand to keep the cannon from moving while he held it up he pulled back the small contraption on the bottom of the cannon. It created the necessary spark to light the cannon.
A loud boom shook the area as a cannon ball sped towards Darius at the speed of a bullet.

Darius could hear a commotion going on outside but he paid it no mind. He knew time wouldn't wait. The problem was, he was forced to face these Heartless. Since time was of the essence, he decided to skip the swordplay and get right to the energy attack. Extending an open palm at the three blocking one way, he unleashed a ray of light. The light went through one and hit the other.
Two Heartless down, leaving Darius with four left. A third met its demise albeit in an unexpected way. It was dispersed the moment a big and bulky guy came into the hallway, the door he swung open hitting it as he did so.
Now, there were just three left and they appeared to be just as distracted by the newcomer's arrival as was Darius. Unlike Darius, they got over their surprise rather fast. They had seemed to recognize the man. Darius wondered at that. Were the things linked to this guy somehow?
He didn't have much time to contemplate on it when the guy suddenly pulled out a cannon and aimed it at him. "Whoa! H-Hold on a sec-!" he didn't get to finish that sentence as the thing hit him hard. It was a very lucky thing he had his armor on. If he didn't, Darius would've surely had a decent sized hole through his chest right about now. Instead, he had a dent in his armor and the wind was knocked out of him.
Grimacing, Darius pulled himself back up. "Ugh! Man, that hurt!" he stated. It was clear that the first shot hadn't killed him. Pulling himself to his feet, Darius squinted at the big guy. As he examined him, he realized then who he was looking at and his light blue eyes widened. "Oh shit!"

Cannon was furious. How dare this man come aboard his ship and make trouble for his little pets. Taking three cannon balls from his straps he loaded all three of them into the cannon. It was quite clear that the Captain wasn't in favor of talking things out.
Aiming the weapon he took clear aim at Darius. "Get off my ship!" He bellowed as three cannon balls shot out of the cannon. All of them were aimed at Darius.
---------------------
Sailor Squash was running down the hallway. He had taken the back way to the Captain's quarters. Just who was that kid that had boarded the ship. What was he after? They're treasure?
Well the Captain would be furious when he found out. "Let's see his electricity stop a cannon." He thought to himself with a smug. The teen ontop had no idea just who he was messing with. Captain Cannon was an unmovable force. He was a giant with a cannon built onto his arm!
As he rounded the corner, Squash found himself in the middle of a battle. On one side was Darius in his armor. On the left was Captain Cannon. And he was smack dab in the middle. As the Captain fired three cannon balls towards Darius, Squash found himself gaping in awe.
He barley had time to think, let alone move. As the heavy pieces of lead sped this way, Squash dropped to the floor, covering his head with his hands.
---------------------
Well the pirates had apparently found a bow. And so it was that White found himself behind a barrel as arrow after arrow sped towards him. He could hear the thump as each arrow collided with the barrel at his back.
"Darius hurry the hell up!" He shouted aloud.

Darius looked the man up and down. He certainly fit the description that Johnny had given them. This had to be the one called 'Cannon'. Who else could it possibly be, anyway? Seeing the gargantuan man relaod that cannon of his with three cannon balls, Darius grew apprehensive. If he were hit with those three, he knew he would be really feeling it tomorrow if he wasn't careful.
Even as the man shouted at him to get off of his ship, Darius saw another pirate scurrying into their midst. Where Cannon was on one side, Darius was on the other. The unfortunate pirate happened upon them and wound up right in the center of them.
Seeing Cannon getting ready to fire, Darius dived to the floor and laid down flat to narrowly avoid getting shot by three cannon balls. As the balls whizzed over his helmet, Darius pushed himself up hurriedly. "Not until you tell me if you have my sister, Ivory on this ship!" he growled back in response. If Cannon chose to keep shooting at him, Darius would start checking the rooms himself and do his best to cannon ball dodge.
Whether or not he got an answer, Darius knew time wouldn't wait for him as he scurried down the hall and started opening rooms at random. None seemed to contain anything worth noting. "Damn, she's not here!" he said to himself before turning to face any who had followed him. He needed to get back to the deck. How? Well, if worse came to worse, he'd have to somehow blow a hole through the ceiling above them.

Squash tried to tell the Captain to stop, but his words were lost in the fire of cannon. One after another the Captain sent cant cannons flying towards them. Why was he firing at one of the other men? It was only when Darius shouted that Squashed realized he was an enemy.
There were two of them? When did this one climb aboard the ship. When Darius didn't receive an answer he began to leave. If he had stayed, Squash would have told him that they had no prisoners aboard the ship. The little pests that normally attacked them had stopped when that Pan had disappeared with hook.
They had no need to search them out when they weren't preventing them from getting the treasure. When the Captain watched the lad escape the firing finally ceased. Taking advantage of the momentary cease fire he called out.
"Captain! There is trouble on deck." With gun smoke lingering around the area it was hard to see the Captain. No doubt the Captain couldn't see him either.
"Whose that?" Captain Cannon called out.
Standing up he replied, "Sailor Squash sir. Were being attacked from on top the deck. We need your help sir."
There was no answer right away, but Captain Cannon did move into eye sight. He gazed Squash up and down. "Alright." Captain Cannon led the way. But before he went down the hallway he paused. He stretched out his hand and Squash watched as his shadow suddenly left from his body and went sailing along the floor after Darius.
"That should get rid of the rat." The Captain said.
-----------------------------
The barrel had busted. And when it did White couldn't help but smirk. Twice as many arrows as before sailed to the debris of the barrel. But they found nothing but an empty floor. The confusion on the pirates' faces was nothing less then hilarious.
White had known that he didn't have long before that barrel busted. So he had climbed along the floor on his hands and legs while staying hidden from direct sight. When he was in line with one of the cannons he knew that what he had to do next would be tricky. He had to roll into the line of sight for two feet until he was behind the cannon and hidden.
Somehow he had done it and so it took all his strength to keep from laughing as the surprise crossed their faces. He was safe for now. But they would venture towards him soon enough. And then it would be battle once more.

Turning about, Darius discovered that the captain hadn't pursued him further down the hall. Why, he wasn't sure. Maybe it was because of the commotion going on up above? If that were the case, White was going to need his help very soon. Seeing as his sister hadn't been on board, and no other prisoners that he could see, Darius realized they had basically come on board for nothing. Unless, of course, White had other plans for this invasion of their's.
As he turned, thoughts of rushing back toward the deck, Darius found himself facing another Heartless. Sighing in exasperation, wondering why the other three had gone, he held his broadsword at the ready. Faint blue eyes were set as he watched the thing carefully.
What was he doing? Well, he wasn't sure what type of Heartless it was just yet. Maybe it was one of the more frequent ones? Maybe not? Darius wasn't sure since he was in a hurry and his mind kept drifting toward what might be going on up above. If he couldn't get out, he was going to definitely put a hole through the deck above and make himself an exit onto the deck. Hopefully, no one would be standing where he would make the opening.

The heartless that took form in front of Darius was not your average heartless. It was a one of a kind creatures that was made from a group of heartless. As it formed out of the shadow it took the form of a very human like creature. In fact it looked a lot like Captain Cannon. It had his exact shape except for its full black skin color.
In addition there was a cannon on its arm as well. What Darius was looking at was almost a shadow of Captain Cannon. Two yellow eyes appeared in the head of the heartless but it had no mouth. All it did was raise its arm and black balls of energy shot through the air.
They were not the same thing as a cannon ball but they still packed a punch. And the cannon shot much faster then before. But the movements of the heartless were slow. His arm did not move as fast as Darius moved and so many of the blasts would most likely miss. In addition like the heartless that was used to make it, it was unattackable from the front. It's weakness was its back.
---------------------------
White knew it was only a matter of time before he was discovered. That discovery occurred with the appearance of the Captain. "Captain sir, he's gone." White heard them say.
Face lighting up, White knew he had to get a look at the man. If the man was the same person he was looking for.... Then things were going to get messy. Peering over the cannon White saw the Captain. While indeed he matched the description the boy gave him, he was not the person White was looking for.
"Damn! Another dead end!" He said to himself aloud.
White sat back against the cannon. This whole fight was for nothing now. It had been a waste of time. White had half the mind to just jump off the ship. But he couldn't just leave Darius. ""That boy better hurry up."[/i]
A sudden boom in the air made White suddenly leap out of his hiding spot. And not a moment too soon as a cannonball bang into the cannon he was behind. As it hit the cannon it shoved it down the deck. That would have hurt if he was caught behind it.
White rose off the floor and pulled out his kantana. He looked the big Captain up and down. "Well aren't you a big guy." He told him with a smile.
Fury crossed the Captain's face as he shouted, "Get off my ship!" White charged as the Captain dropped three cannonballs in his cannon arm.

Darius watched as the Heartless came out of the floor and finally took form. Eyebrows raised, Darius looked at the spitting image of Captain Cannon right in front of him. Well, a more darker image of him but just about identical. It even carried a cannon on its arm like he did.
"Well, aren't you a sight!" he stated. Clutching his broadsword, Darius waited for the fiend to make the first move. Surely it would fire something from that cannon?
Sure enough, it did and the firing rate was much swifter than the captain's! Darius was lucky he flinched when he did otherwise it would've hurt a heck of a lot more as his arm and side got grazed by two of the passing beams. The only downside to the attacks the Heartless was making was that it was much slower in movement compared to the original.
"Hey! That hurt!" he exclaimed before extending a hand with the palm facing the Heartless. A bright light emanated from the hand as Darius shot forth a straight ray of light at his attacker. Time wouldn't wait, he knew that but he had to fend off this Heartless before he could dare to hope to accompany White off of this ship if there wasn't anything else for them to do here.

Unlucky for Darius that ray of light came rushing at the front of the heartless. The heartless simply raised his chest as the ray of light deflected off it easily. It was easy to see where part of the heartless had come from given that sort of technique.
The creature, if you could call it that, raised its cannon and fired another ray of attacks. They came out fast but his arm moved at a slower pace. The heartless attempted a spray shot of cannon blasts of dark energy. They were all level with Darius's head and it was there that the heartless aimed.
-----------------------
White dodged the blast of cannons. Thankfully his action of zagging back and forth helped keep the large man from attacking him in one spot. White could hear the thumps as the cannon balls hit the deck behind him. No doubt there would be a couple of dents in the deck after all of this.
Seeing this sent the big captain into a bigger outrage. "Stop destroying my ship!" He shouted.
White snickered. He wasn't the one responsible for the destruction, the Captain's cannon arm was. As he closed in the remaining distance, White slashed out at the captain with his kantana. The man just barley got his cannon arm to deflect the attack back.
Forced to take a step back, White unfortunately gave the large man enough time to withdraw a saber from his side. He hadn't noticed it there until just now. "A sword fight huh. Let's see whose the better."[/i] He thought to himself.
Coming at the Captain again he met him in a parry of blades.

Darius cursed when he saw that the ray of light he shot forth at the Heartless didn't do any damage at all. The thing's enormous belly seemed to have deflected the attack. Thankfully, the attack bounced off it and went for the wall. Sure, it would anger the pirates about their wall being damaged but oh well. Darius hadn't come here to fret over what damage he caused at this point. With no Ivory or any apparent captives on board, there was no reason for him to remain here. What damage that resulted on board was their own fault.
Clutching his weapon, he watched as the Heartless took aim at his head once more, intending to fire at him once again. Since the movement was so much slower than the real thing, Darius had the advantage of speed.
'If the front is invulnerable, maybe the back could be?' he wondered. He was hoping that was the case. He didn't want to have to try and cut its head off. Mind made up, Darius ran right toward it. At the last possible second, just before it fired, he darted to the side to avoid the attack and ran right around the Heartless.
Turning, before it could turn to react in time, Darius aimed a vertical slash at the creature's back. As he did so, he was pleased to see that smoke burst from where he struck it. In response, the creature only just had time to turn around before dispersing into a large puff of smoke and disappearing altogether. "Whew, now that that's over with...better get back to White before he gets pissed!" he said to himself as he turned toward where he believed the exit was and came outside.
Once he did, he found quite a commotion. Blades were heard clashing and the one's responsible appeared to be that of White and the captain from before. As he had appeared, some pirates pointed at him and shouted. "Hi guys!" Darius said with a big grin on his face as if nothing was going on at all.
Where generally he was a bit more serious than White, Darius had his moments. Like right now, if White was fighting, Darius might as well entertain these other pirates so they could escape sooner. He would tell White later that there weren't any captives on board. Telling him right now while he was busy would be a pretty stupid move. After all, it could inadvertently distract White and get him hurt or worse.
Focusing on the pirates running toward him, Darius remained calm. His chest armor was dented but his armor was still much stronger than any blade. Taking on a battle stance, he watched as the first of the pirates, one with a peg leg, came hobbling over at him hollering. Darius brought his blade up to block the man's strike with ease before ending the fight in striking the man with the blunt end of his broadsword. "You're going to have to do better than that!"
