It had most definitely been a good thing Darius stopped the Heartless from getting White. If he had missed, Darius didn't want to think how that would have ended for White. Either he'd end up wounded or could have lost his heart right then and there. Thankfully, Darius hadn't missed. 'Thank you, high school baseball!' he thought to himself. Once he had done that, Darius got into a stance as White turned to face their foes as well. Holding the steel pipe like a baseball bat, Darius heard White announce there were enemies to the rest of the group.
There was a surge of commotion all around as everyone fought. Darius had thought he saw Arya back up White. The girl's magic skills really did come in handy. Darius was glad they came along on their journey. However, he had to wonder what their motives were coming with them. What was their part in this story?
Darius hadn't time to think much on that as he fended off what Heartless came at him. His swings bludgeoning those that came too close. If he was lucky, a few would disperse upon rough impact with their fellow Heartless. It was a good thing Mr. Thomas got involved. Darius didn't really have time to call forth his armor to protect him because of how sudden the battle had been.
With them all working together, they made quick work of the Heartless. Darius let out a sigh of relief before looking to the others. As White piped up,Darius could only hope that would be the case for now. "Hopefully but we probably shouldn't stick around to find out, right?" he said, looking back at the others when he did.

Mr. Thomas was the one who answered Darius's question. "He's right. Let's get moving. Once we get to the pond we'll be safe." Taking the lead again, White rounded up the back. This time though he made sure to glance back every so often. He would not get caught unaware by the heartless a second time. It only took once for him to realize the seriousness of this forest.
They walked through the forest at a slightly faster pace as well. The pond appeared before them pretty quickly. It actually was nothing more then a puddle, but to them it looked like a pond. It was surrounded by tall grass and ferns. In the middle of the pond was a single leaf. And on that leaf sat a caterpillar.
It was a big creature, wide and round. With chubby cheeks its head rose upon their arrival at the edge of the pond. Sitting next to the caterpillar was a woman donned in a white dress that couldn't be said as anything but gorgeous. Strapless and flowing down to the feet, there was only one thing about the dress that disturbed White. It was stained red with blood splotches.
The Caterpillar rose and suddenly the leaf began to move. The owner of the white dress had long snowy colored hair that reached the middle of her back. She had an average figure, but her face seemed to glow. "She's beautiful." White said, awestruck.
The leaf came to a stop next to them and the Caterpillar turned towards them. White was not shocked to see it had a human face. "Greetings, elf."
Mr. Thomas firstly bowed to the woman in white. "Your majesty. Caterpillar. It has been such a long time. May I introduce my friends. Arya." Arya stepped forward and curtsied to the woman in white. "And my new friends Mr. White and Mr. Darius." White didn't know what to do, so he bowed. Everyone seemed to be royalty in these places.

Darius nodded when Mr. Thomas spoke up, claiming that once they made it to the pond that they would be safe. He certainly hoped so. Still, luck was never usually on their side for very long. That and Darius wasn't even sure how the encounter with the White Queen would go. If Ivory had really done anything wrong here, their similarities were too strong to simply ignore. Anyone would be able to tell they were twins if one had seen the other. Granted, Darius was male and had much shorter hair than Ivory and didn't have a girl figure but they were similar enough for one to tell. The coloring of their eyes and hair was a big give away.
As they went, Darius was more wary of their surroundings than before. The Heartless ambush had made him a bit more jumpy. White seemed to watch their rear more which was a good idea. It would suck to be surprised a second time.
By the time he noticed anything, the pond was already in sight. Darius looked at it in wonder. Honestly, this "pond" probably looked like a mere puddle if they were in their normal size. In the center, there was a leaf and upon that was a great caterpillar. Noticing them, the caterpillar rose and as he did so, the leaf came floating toward them. By the time it stopped, they could see the passenger he had alongside him. A woman adorned completely in white, even her hair coloring being a delicate white, was there.
'So that's the White Queen?!' he thought. The caterpillar greeted Mr. Thomas as if they were old friends. Mr. Thomas was definitely known well around here it seemed. Darius couldn't help but marvel a bit at her beauty. However, something didn't seem right. Just what were those blood marks on her dress? Was she wounded or had she acquired them on a battlefield from those that were killed around her? Darius couldn't do much except look between her and the caterpillar in stunned silence for the moment.
It wasn't until Mr. Thomas introduced them when Darius finally snapped out of his temporary daze. Now that he knew where he was, he wasn't sure how this meeting was going to go. Hopefully, Ivory hadn't done anything wrong here in this world worth noting. If she did, this just might get more complicated depending on what the locals here thought. "Er...Uh...a pleasure to meet you." He too gave a bow figuring this was the proper thing to do before what was believed to be royalty. Was everyone here of some sort of high standing? The way Mr. Thomas greeted those here, it felt like it.

White didn't know what to say so he kept silent. Thankfully, Mr. Thomas seemed to know the people here. The Caterpillar slugged across the leaf and off it with the White Queen following behind. "Sadly there is not room for all of you on my leaf. So we shall have our conversation here."
The White Queen remained silent throughout everything. Mr. Thomas bowed to her, "Your Majesty it is a pleasure to see you again." He said. He waited for an answer but none seemed to come.
"She is deaf now. Go on child. Show them the scar." The White Queen tilted her head up to expose a long red scar on the edge of her neck. "They cut out her vocal cords. She managed to escape from their clutches and swalloed the shrinking potion before making her way over here. I barley managed to save her. But that was a couple weeks ago."
White was stunned. How could someone do something like that to another human being? No wonder there was blood on the queens dress. She couldn't be older then thirty years old. "What happened here Mr. Caterpillar? We've never been her before but it sounds like there was a war."
Slowly the face turned towards White. The Caterpillar looked him up and down for a second. "A strong will, but clouded by dark thoughts. Curious travelrs you have elf. But I will tell you young one. The Red Queen and White Queen are sisters. The Red the older of the two. When their father died he decalred that the White Queen would rule, for her sister was clouded in darkness. But the Red Queen, being the older, drove her sister out and had the control of the gaurd.
"As you would expect a war broke out. Some alligning themselves with our beloved White Queen, the others the Red Queen. The White Queen had the backing of the light. Heroes from another world. The one they call the Mirror Traveler and the one they called the Keyblade Warrior. They were prophecised to lead the Whtie Queen to victory.
"But when they met in combat, the Red Queen had something we never saw before. An assassin covered in dragon armor and a dragon itself. The dragon we managed to kill, but not before the assassin slaughtered the Keyblade Warrior. With him gone, the White Queen's soldiers scattered. The White Queen and the Mirror Traveler were captured."
There was a pause as White and the rest of their crew took it all in. No doubt this was the work of the Committee. White would bet all the money in the world on it. This stank of them. White felt the anger crawling up from the deep of his soul. He battled it back with determination. Now was not the time to let it out. Time would come soon enough.
The Caterpillar continued, "The Mirror Traveler met her end at the chop block. The Red Queen gave her sister to the mercy of the guard. They brought her all the way to the forest. Who knows what terrors she faced on the way. She managed to break free, but I'm sorry to say her mind is not there."
Looking into the White Queen's eyes, White could tell it was true. There was nothing but a blank stare behind those eyes. Arya was the one next to speak up. "What can we do?"
The Caterpillar shook his head. "I have no clue. Perhaps you should seek out the Cat. But he's deeper in the forest. And you'll never meet him at that size."
That was true. They needed to do something to increase their size again. "See the mushrooms over there." Looking towards where the Caterpillar was indicating, White could make out brown mushrooms. "One bite will do it." Mr. Thomas nodded.
He turned to the White Queen. Looking her right in the eye he said, "I pledge I will kill the people responsible for this my lady." He didn't recieve a response from her, but he nodded to himself before turning towards the mushrooms. "Let's go guys."

Darius watched as the caterpillar clambered off the leaf with the White Queen following him. The entire time, the woman did not speak. Darius couldn't help but wonder if she had recognized him and it made him uneasy. His mind was already whriling, dreading and wondering if Ivory had done anything wrong here.
Mr. Thomas went to greet the White Queen but she said nothing. It wasn't until the caterpillar said she was deaf. Darius couldn't help but look confused as she seemed to hear the Caterpillar when he asked her to reveal the scar. Running along her neck was a nasty, unsightly scar. According to the Caterpillar, they had removed her vocal cords. "How is she able to understand you if she's deaf?" Darius inquired. "Or did you mean she is mute, unable to speak? Or both?" Darius inquired. Maybe their terms here were different?
Even still, Darius couldn't help but feel distressed seeing what had become of the White Queen. Things really didn't look too good for the side of light here in this world. He went quiet as White asked the Caterpillar about a war that had been going on here. The Red and White queens were sisters. When it was decided the White queen was to rule, the Red queen didn't like that idea. As wasn't unexpected of such a thing, it brought them to war.
The Keyblade Warrior and Mirror Traveler were said to have brought the White queen to victory but both had been killed. Darius felt his heart pounding as he heard the explanation getting closer. An assassin covered in dragon armor. Darius's heart certainly skipped a beat when he heard that. Already, he could feel his spirits sinking even more. Could it have been Ivory?
"This assassin...any ideas what...they looked like?" he inquired. Darius didn't dare reveal his armor right now. If he did, he feared that if it were Ivory that he would further traumatize the already mentally disturbed White queen. Arya spoke up, asking what they could do. That was a very good question. What in the hell could they do to help with such a thing? There was no way that they could bring back those that had been murdered here or return the voice and maybe hearing of the White queen.
The Caterpillar stated that he wasn't sure what they could do. Right now, his only suggestion was for them to seek out the Cat. Whoever the Cat was, Darius wasn't sure but he was curious. Maybe the Cat would have more answers? However, they would need to change their size first to meet him. Already knowing their next question, the Caterpillar indicated brown mushrooms. These would change their size with one bite.
Once that was settled, Darius watched as Mr. Thomas spoke to the White queen. Hearing his words, Darius looked off to the side as his spirits sunk some more. He wouldn't blame the group if they would be at odds if it turned out to be Ivory. Darius gave a respectful incline of his head to the White queen and the Caterpillar before following the lead of the others toward the mushrooms. Walking up to one, Darius grabbed a bit of mushroom he believed would be good enough for a bite.
With that, Darius walked a little further from the pond and took a bite of the mushroom bit. As he went, he didn't say a word to the others. Right now, he feared what answers he would be given.

The Caterpillar had said right when he mentioned she was deaf. He had not mentioned the fact that her long white hair actually covered the fact that the guards had chopped her ears off. He figured talking about it was too much for the poor queen. In explanation to the reason she could hear him, the Caterpillar actually had the ability to talk telepathically. And seeing as the White Queen could read lips, she understood every word that Mr. Thomas had said. At least, she had the potential too.
But no one knew any of this. Only the Caterpillar. Mr. Thomas was actually the first to grab a mushroom and so, as Darius had reached down to get one, Mr. Thomas ate his. White was just walking over to them when Mr. Thomas began to sprout up. White watched him grow back to his regular height.
Despite the sadness of the White Queen's story, White was looking forward to being back to normal size. Arya was next to rise from the ground. Reaching one down he looked over to Darius, who seemed lost in thought. "Let's get back to our normal height." White told him with a smile, trying to bring some light back into this dark setting.
Taking a bite of his mushroom, it wasn't long before he began to grow. Once he was back to normal height, he could see just how small they really were. The puddle had looked more like a pond, now it just looked like a puddle. Once everyone was back to their normal size, Mr. Thomas spoke up. "Let's head deeper in the woods. Be careful everyone, were back to normal size. Bigger size means easier to spot."
He commented. There was a new determination in Mr. Thomas's voice. He had been stunned by what had happened here and it showed. White glanced over to Arya. She just indicated that they should follow with a nudge of her head. Sighing, White followed.

Darius tried hard to not think too heavily as to how the White Queen was deaf. It was probably a question best not answered. He didn't want to think what horrors she had gone through. For someone to attack their own sibling in such a way, Darius couldn't understand it at all. He cared a lot for his sister, Ivory. She was the only family that he had left. If something were to happen to her, it would break him. After all, they were siblings. Darius would do anything to help her. Yet, with everything that happened here, he began to wonder if she had done all of this. If so, he wasn't even sure how to take it. It would feel as though he were cut in two if he discovered the truth.
Mr. Thomas already went ahead and bit into a mushroom. As he did so, he was the first to sprout up. Next went Arya and while she was sprouting up, Darius blinked to peer over at White when he spoke. Looking back at him, Darius forced a smile in return as he gave a nod. Really, he wasn't sure how he was feeling right now with all of this. If it did turn out Ivory was responsible for everything, she would be killed by Mr. Thomas. Darius didn't want for things to come to that. He wouldn't be able to handle it very well finding out his sister was a murderer. Ivory was innocent, right? She had to be! Yet, he couldn't help this continuous sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach as if it were being filled with lead.
As White sprouted up, Darius had bitten into his own bit of mushroom and sprouted up as well. When he did, he glanced down toward the "pond" which looked exactly like a puddle from his normal height. Once everyone was normal sized, Mr. Thomas spoke up. Taking his eyes off of the puddle, Darius looked over at him barely taking in what was even said to him. It troubled him that he couldn't find out more about this assassin but it also troubled him more as to what answers could come of it. He hated being left hanging like this and stuck between worrying over both matters.
All Darius did was nod, keeping quiet as Arya indicated for them to follow after Mr. Thomas. Darius trudged along after him silently, not speaking a word as he went or making eye contact with anyone, left in his thoughts.

White hadn't known Darius for long, but he could tell when something wrong. His expression was lost in thought, and he seemed a bit out of it. White didn't think that the assassin was the reason. Or that it had any tie to his sister. He simply thought he was shaken up by the White Queen or his sister. To think if his sister was here, she could be caught up in all of this.
"You must be worried something happened to her." White thought to himself. He wanted to say something to the teen, but what was the right thing to even say? White wasn't used to comforting people. He wasn't one who regularly liked to deal with his problems.
Wanting to say something, White decided to just comment on both of them as they followed Mr. Thomas and Arya. "Don't worry Darius. We'll find whoever is responsible for the evil in this world. And we will find your sister too. I'm sure shes alright." He gave him his best smile that he could.
Mr. Thomas led them through the trees, and since he was ahead he did not hear White's comments. However Arya did. She glanced over to him and said, "Shhh." Placing a finger over her lips she was telling him to shut up. Well White was never the type of person to take to kindly to people telling him that. His nostril rose and he bobbed his head back and forth while mimicking the word, "Shh. He was making fun of her of course.
A look passed over Arya that could only be explained by annoyance. Instead of berating him, which it looked like she was about too, she turned around and simply walked a bit faster. That was fine by White. That girl had done nothing but annoy him since they first came here.
They walked through the forest at a slightly slower pace then on the ground. Mostly because they were trying to keep as silent as possible. White didn't understand why they they couldn't just talk softly. The chance of someone actually hearing them in this vacant forest was slim. It wasn't like enemies would pop out from behind trees and within bushes.
White never should have thought that because suddenly a card soldier stood in front of them. Mr. Thomas came to a stop as he found himself just staring at the red soldier. A moment later more soldiers appeared from behind trees and within bushes. They were surrounded! Mr. Thomas drew his weapon, and White was quick to follow. Seems like they had company.

Darius almost leapt out of his skin when White spoke to him, pulling him out of his thoughts. Blinking for a moment, he turned his gaze onto him to better hear him. Despite what White said, Darius couldn't really feel all that optimistic. His dread was Ivory being responsible for the whole thing that took place here. On top of that, if she wasn't, then she would've most likely ran into trouble of some kind here. Darius couldn't help but feel worried on either account.
He tried to smile in return but it was clear that Darius wasn't exactly feeling the same way as White did. "I...hope so." was all he said in return. As they walked, Arya paused to turn to them. Lifting a finger to her lips, she shushed at them. White, whom was the one to get offended more easily than Darius, started bobbing his head and mocking the sound that had escaped Arya's lips. It was clear on Arya's face that she wasn't amused with him but instead of arguing, she simply chose to turn her back on them and move at a much quicker pace. Well, at least they weren't going to argue. Darius wasn't sure how he would react to an argument at this time.
As they walked, Darius couldn't help but feel a bit jumpy. With all of the things they had learned, he couldn't help but wonder where the Red Queen's people were. If she took over, surely there would be a hint of her somewhere other than the maimed White Queen? As if to answer his questions about the Red Queen, a red card soldier appeared quite abruptly before Mr. Thomas and the whole lot of them. He was soon followed by a number of other card soldiers.
Now, Darius knew he should be wary but he couldn't help but peer at the soldiers in wonder. This world just never ceased to amaze him, it seemed. He was the last to react weapons wise. Holding out a hand, his armor formed about his figure to produce the white dragon armor as he faced the hostile looking cards, clutching his broadsword carefully. If this was going to turn out to be a serious fight, he'd better keep the armor on. Even still, the cards looked rather delicate for soldiers. They were cards for crying out loud!

White was all ready to go ahead and charge right in! There opponents were cards! While some had either swords of spears, they couldn't be that strong. After all what could a human sized card really do? For that reason White was ready to go ahead and just get this battle done with. But before he could, Arya spoke up.
"Guys wait!" She said, mostly to White who had taken a step forward. "Don't go charging in. I can't take that many on with my magic all at once." White didn't know what she was talking about. He counted about ten card soldiers around them. White had not seen that next to each card soldier was a heartless. That made twenty enemies! Arya was right. She was a mage. They had to attack in a style that would protect them all.
"Well anyone got a plan?" White asked. How would they get themselves out of this one.
"Well what do we have here?" A voice said from behind the circle of enemies. One of the soldiers moved to the side so that a man could step forward. He was donned in black armor. With long black hair and a black eye patch over his left eye he wore a cruel smile. "Here we were looking for the White Queen and we find some more scrabblers. Why don't you lay down your weapons? The war is over gentlemen and lady."
White found the anger in him begin to rise. Was this the one? The one who had done this to the White Queen? "Was it you? Were you the one who ripped out the White Queen's throat."
The soldier, who White figured was also the leader of these band of soldiers, let out a laugh. "And what if I was boy! What do you plan to do about it? There are twenty one of us. And I count four of you."
Mr. Thomas was the one to speak up next. "We need no more then four to deal with the likes of you. Answer the boys question! Was it you who damaged the queen so?"
The man laughed as well. "Sadly I was not in the band who did that to your poor queen. I wish though that I had. Last chance! Lay down your weapons or face the swords and spears of my men!"
A look of calm crossed Mr. Thomas's face. "That I cannot do. Darius, White you two take the frontal assault, I'll protect Arya while she attacks from behind."
White didn't need any more invitation then that. Having noted that his words had not helped his friend much before he tried something else. "Let's show them who they're dealing with." He said, his anger beginning to build as he rushed forward.

Darius was raring to go as well, his pale blue eyes fixed on the targets in front of him. If Arya hadn't spoken up, he would've dived into their midst already as well. Confused, Darius darted his eyes toward her while keeping his peripheral vision on the enemies. Any movement from them and he wouldn't have any qualms swinging away at them. Not enough magic to take on that many enemies? Darius blinked with confusion before looking back over at the enemies.
White spoke the question everyone had to be wondering at this point. What plans did they have? Well, Darius guessed he, White and Mr. Thomas could create a protective circle around Arya while she cast her magic at their foes. Anyone that charged them would get attacked by them three to hold them at bay for Arya.
Right after White had spoken, a voice was heard. Looking for the owner, Darius saw soldiers separate to allow the admittance of the new arrival. At first, Darius's heart skipped a beat. He had thought Ivory had arrived but then he remembered the voice had been male. When the guy came more into view, it was clear this guy's aura spoke of evil. His attire was a dead give away if there ever was a time to judge based on appearances. The way he acted only confirmed such a thing.
Darius kept his grip on his broadsword, not daring to move as he locked eyes on him. "Only an idiot would lay down their weapons when you've got us surrounded like you do and with brute force!" Darius retorted. He hadn't been very happy earlier and even now, he had no patience for this sort of confrontation. In fact, he might even use this as a means for him to outlet his frustration if it came to a fight. In fact, he was hoping it would be regardless of the numbers here.
White questioned the man as to whether or not he were the one responsible for the White Queen's torn throat. The guy just laughed at that but didn't answer. Darius narrowed his eyes and tightened his grip on his broadsword more. The guy underestimating them by numbers made Darius's anger go up a notch. This guy was really asking for a butt whooping!
Mr. Thomas,he was thankful for speaking up for them all. Yes, their number would be enough if they were pushed enough. After the boss fight, Darius guessed that the most trouble these guys would give would be in the form of the guy speaking but his arrogance could be a fatal mistake on his part. Arrogance always got someone in the end if they had too much of it. Darius was eager to knock him off the high horse.
Sure enough, the guy asked for them to lay down their weapons and Mr.Thomas gave the okay for them to take the frontal assault. A fire blazing in his eyes, Darius glanced over at White, both of them ready to fight. Hearing his friend's words, Darius nodded in agreement. "Oh,we'll do that and thensome!" he replied.
With that, Darius didn't need any telling twice to charge forward with his broadsword swinging in a diagonal upward fashion at one card and a downward diagonal slash at another before leaping back with a flap of his armor's dragon wings, taking on a battle ready stance as he awaited any that would dare charge him in retaliation.

White never really relied on many of his abilities. Sure he had them, but usually he wasn't in a battle where he would need them. The most he often did was charge his blade with electricity. It was a very simple ability, and one he used when facing a foe that needed that extra punch. Seeing as the majority of the enemy were cards and pawn heartless, White didn't bother.
Running along side Darius, he turned to the side somewhat, giving his friend some room for battle with the opponents in front of him. White took on a group of cards and heartless. As he approached the first, a card soldier stabbed its spear forward. Its attempt to impale White upon it was clear, and so he was able to dodge it.
Slashing downward, he split the card right in half. The enemies were just cards! But that didn't mean there weapons didn't have sharpy ends. White had to parry a sword slash to his side. Using a bit of free style fighting, he sent a fist into a leaping heartless. It knocked the enemy back and gave White time to secure the killing strike on the previous card soldier that had killed him.
From behind him he could hear the soft "foom" sounds of magic that Arya must be sending, and the collide of blades from Mr. Thomas's blade. Darius's armor was surely protecting him from most frontal attacks, so White was a bit more cautious on how close he got to the enemy.
Still the battle was going well. He downed another three enemies, bringing his kill count for this battle at five. Finishing the last opponent in front of him he turned to see how the others were fairing. He turned towards Darius first since he was closest to him. Upon seeing his friend, he also saw the enemy leader in his black armor come from behind Darius. In his hands was a curved sword as he brought up to strike at Darius's empty back.
"Darius behind you!" He called.

Darius was far more used to tougher times as of late. His travels searching for his twin sister had hardened him. On top of that, he had also survived a battle for their lives to get off their world before everything was consumed. Granted, it was a few years ago...or had it been? Anyways, it wasn't all that long ago for him to forget how to fight. The armor, he had learned a lot about it during that time which he hadn't forgotten. It was like riding a bike, once you learned you never forgot.
Seeing as the soldiers were startled by the sudden onslaught of the young men, Darius and White clearly had the upperhand here. Seeing that the soldiers were still busy hesitating, taken aback by it all, Darius charged forward again. He cleaved a Heartless in two and brought the broadsword up to block the poleaxe of a clover card soldier. Pushing against the weapon, Darius locked eyes with his enemy. There was a light there that was fierce almost like the armor he wore.
"Should've left us alone!" he stated. With that, Darius shoved the poleaxe with all his might sending the card soldier staggering backward, off balance. Before he could regain his balance, Darius was already upon him with his broadsword, cleaving him in two as well. In the background, Darius could hear the others attacking which was a sure sign they were alive. Arya's signature zooming sounds made from her magic let him know that Mr. Thomas was well and so was she.
Then, a shout called out to him. Pausing, Darius turned his head to glimpse White looking right at him with a sense of urgency upon his face. The hairs prickling on the back of his neck, Darius whipped his head about, bringing up the white armored tail attached to his armor to parry the oncoming strike. It had been the soldier in black that had just tried to do him in.
"I see your cowardice is as great as your cruelty!" Darius mocked. Right now, his veins were singing with adrenaline and his frustration. He was using this fight to take out his frustration with the situation. It meant that he wouldn't be thinking very clearly which can be a bad thing depending on the skills of his foe.
Once his armor's tail had effectively parried the blow, Darius stepped back and turned to face him. Holding his broadsword, Darius was ready for him. Retaliating, Darius dived at him using a downward horizontal swing in attempts to if not cut him, then to startle him enough to make him back off some.

White's words had reached Darius just in time to raise his armored tail. The enemy's curved sword met that tail in a parry. Watching Darius spin around, he listened to him taunt the man. In response the dark knight huffed in rage and looked like he was going to charge right into Darius.
However Darius had other plans. He stepped back and dived at him with a downward swing. The attack could be a fatal one if it succeed in hitting. The enemy though was smarter then that. He managed to back off enough that he could raise his weapon in enough time to block the swing. However it did send him back a few steps.
White took a moment to make sure that no enemies were around him. Glancing over to Mr. Thomas he watched the elf stab a heartless and Arya send a puff of dark energy at an oncoming card soldier. They were dealing with the last few of the enemies. That really only left the man in the black armor.
Darius seemed to be doing just fine with him. The enemy was trying to land an attack on Darius, but he was not succeeding. It was clear who the better swordsman was. White had to be impressed with Darius's skill.
"Two youths I see. One who is lost between you and he. And the other a victim of happenstance, one who is controlled by circumstance." White jumped backwards to see a cat floating on thin air!
"Wha?" White asked confused. It was at about that time that he heard the sound of a clash and the sound of someone's last breath. Glancing over to Darius, White noticed that his weapon had stabbed through the opponent. He had felled the man in charge of the attack.

Darius had to learn on his own how to fight. He was still a rookie compared to those whom had been taught how to fight more. The only reason he was fighting at the skill level he was, was due to the encounters he faced that had forced him to fight the way he did. It was because of that, that he had learned how to better utilize his armor's power and how to wield the broadsword. He had a crash course in sword skill. If he had faced someone much more skilled, Darius would've lost.
That and if anyone had a cool head, they would've seen the advantage they had over Darius at this point. However, the guy before him clearly wasn't either of those. At least the guy wasn't entirely stupid. He had seen the downward swing coming at him and had just managed to block it. The impact of their weapons caused the guy to get sent back a few steps.
All the while, Darius smirked triumphantly back at the man. He was feeding off of the moment as he faced the man. At least he'd be doing some good in defeating him if he could. That would at least make some amends to this world's misfortune. He didn't really notice much of anything else as he focused all of his attention on the man. The quicker he was defeated, the better. It might even discourage the rest of the enemies from fighting them. Maybe even make a few flee for their lives.
Darius heard a sudden voice and then White's confused response. However, he did not take his eyes off of his opponent. Circling the man for a few moments, Darius took a lunge but it was a feint. Once the man went to sidestep the attack, Darius raised his weapon just in time and swung diagonally at him just managing to stab through the guy's armor. There was a loud clash and then the man's final breath was uttered.
Carefully taking his weapon out of the now dead leader, Darius glanced around for anymore enemies. Mr. Thomas, Arya and White had done a damn good number on them. They definitely proved they were more skilled than they appeared, their group. As Darius lowered his weapon, taking his eyes off of the man's blood on his broadsword, he dismissed it and peered over at what appeared to be a floating feline.
"So I take it that you're the cat?" he inquired. Like White though, he wasn't exactly sure what it had said.

The Cat simply smiled. "A cat I may appear to be, but there is much more to me." White was beginning to see a pattern with rhymes and riddles as Mr. Thomas and Arya joined them. White looked to Mr. Thomas, the only person who had been here before, to head the conversation. Maybe he could understand what the cat was saying.
"I remember you. Before you were two." The Cat said to Mr. Thomas. White searched Mr. Thomas's face for some recognition of what the cat was saying, but there was nothing but confusion.
Mr. Thomas bowed to the floating cat. "I have heard about you Mr. Cheshire Cat. The Caterpillar sent us to you for answers."
The cat crossed its arms in mid air and seemed to lounge on the open air. "Answer I have you have only to ask, but understand every answer comes with a mask." All of this was starting to go over White's head. What did he mean every answer came with a mask.
Mr. Thomas glanced at Arya who simply shrugged. "We are searching for three things. The one's responsible for the harm of the White Queen, our companion Darius's sister, and an organization that might be responsible for the death of the keyblade hero that was here."
The Cat smiled. "These answer I do have. But I fear they will only make you mad. One is two. Two is stuck unable to do. And three is here and there, why it seems to be everywhere. There those are answers are for you. But I do have one thing to say to each of you too."
White, lost as ever, found the Cheshire Cat looking at him. "Let it go, or you will find yourself with no where to go."
The cat disappeared from sight and reappeared by Darius. "Trust what is new, but not what is blue."
Floating over to Mr. Thomas the cat smiled. "Soon one will be two. And you will find yourself with everything to lose."
And finally the cat turned to Arya. "Accept what will come, for the decision is already done." And with that the cat disappeared for good.

Darius, after the battle, had managed to calm down some. As he looked back at the cat, he could already tell this one had a unique style to the way he spoke. Hearing that there was far more to the cat than he appeared to be, Darius nodded at that. Everything here usually appeared to be more than it was or was just more confusing in appearance alone. He wasn't sure what to say to the cat and glanced over at the others. Mr. Thomas seemed to be more experienced with this strange world so maybe he knew the cat enough to speak with him?
"Nice to meet you."
As he allowed Mr. Thomas to speak to the Cheshire Cat, he listened as he told him that they were here to ask him questions. Darius wondered what the cat meant by "before you were two." Did he mean before he had Arya accompanying him or an actual age? Well, Darius guessed this would just keep them guessing.
The Cheshire Cat's response was that where he did have answers, they were each with a mask. Judging by the way the creature spoke, Darius wondering if this creature were a great deity here all on his own, it wasn't a surprise if they were. Maybe the creature had a rule where he couldn't outright tell them all they wanted to know? Or just chose to for fun? Regardless, any answers would be appreciated. It just made Darius's stomach churn a little at what might be.
As Mr. Thomas spoke, Darius got an unpleasant feeling in the pit of his stomach again. He wished to know and at the same time, wished to not know if Ivory had been involved with the whole thing. What the cat said next though was confusing. He was speaking about numbers. Maybe he was referring to the questions that had been asked in order? Or was there more of a meaning to them than that? If it were what he thought, it made Darius's stomach lurch unpleasantly once again. Did that mean Two was Ivory and she had been responsible for the harm to the White Queen? No, that made no sense. Ivory wouldn't do something sadistic like removing someone's vocal cords.
Well, the Cheshire Cat was right. The answers he had given them for all of that was rather confusing. If anything, it just made Darius rub the back of his head in wonder. It won't be the last time that he would be doing something like this so long as they remained in this world. 'Just what the heck does that all mean?' he wondered. Now that he stood there, he was convinced that this cat seemed to act as if he were a deity of some kind compared to those around here. He was even floating in the air, practically lounging!
Darius looked up at the cat once he had finished his confusing answer to state that he had something to say to each of them. The cat had disappeared and suddenly, Darius heard him speaking to White, having just appeared beside the white haired teen. Let it go? Let what go? Maybe it was something White was dealing with?
While he was wondering this, Darius nearly leapt out of his skin when the Cheshire Cat had suddenly appeared next to him as well. Its attention was focused on him. Unable to help the hairs on the back of his neck from prickling at the sudden attention it was giving him, Darius peered back at him curiously. His nerves were on edge all because he was worried what Ivory might've done if she had been here. When the Cheshire Cat spoke, Darius furrowed a brow in wonder once more. Trust what was new but not what was blue?
The moment Darius blinked, trying to think of what the cat meant by that, he had already moved on to Mr. Thomas and then finally Arya. Everything he said was confusing but Darius wondered if he had some understanding to what had been said to himself. So, whatever was new that was discovered was something to trust. As for blue, Darius guessed he meant anything depressing was not to be trusted. Either that or there was someone or something entirely in blue that he needed to watch out for.
"Anyone...able to interpret what they think what he meant?" Darius asked the others. He was no genius and figured with the more heads they had here, the more likely they were to come at a understanding even if it wasn't one hundred percent right to what the cat meant.

White was lost in his own world trying to figure out the cat's riddles. He did not hear Darius's question. But Mr. Thomas's answer brought him back to the present. "I have no idea. This world is full of strange things. I'm just as confused by his answers as everyone else. This was my first time meeting the Cheshire Cat. But I had heard he only speaks in riddles and questions. Seems like there were more riddles then questions to me."
White nodded. He didn't hear any questions from the cat. But what were they to do now? The cat had told them nothing on how to track down Darius's sister or the ones responsible for the White Queen's ordeal. Well there was one person who obviously had a hand in all of this. The Red Queen! But it wasn't like they could just go storm the castle... Could they?
"I think we should head to the castle where the Red Queen is. There really are no other leads."
Mr. Thomas crossed his arms. Arya glanced to her left lost in thought. It wasn't much longer before she said, "We couldn't go dressed like this. We'd stand out. But I can't think of anything else to do. Maybe one of the villagers will know where your sister is Darius. And who was responsible for the White Queen's ordeal."
White glanced over at Darius. "What do you think?"

Darius was somewhat surprised to hear Mr. Thomas hadn't met the Cheshire Cat before. Yet, he had said something about knowing him before he was two. Whatever was meant by "two" though was another matter entirely. Well, at least he had tried to see if anyone else really knew what had been said or had an idea of it. "Ah, sorry...just assumed you might have since you do know a lot of the others around here. Sorry."
All Darius could do right now was stand there and mull over what the cat had said to them all. He hadn't questioned any of them and merely gave them a load of riddles. Riddles that weren't all that easy to figure out. Not that Darius expected the answers to be just handed down to him. 'This world is never going to stop confusing me!' he thought to himself with a sigh.
He had thought the cat had been attempting to tell him to not trust the depressing things but what was new. He could have interpreted it wrong but that's how it came to Darius. Until he could figure out a better solution, he would try to heed the cat's words for now. He looked over at White when he spoke. Head right up to the castle where the Red Queen is? That sounded a lot like suicide considering the hostilities going around here. Still, it was better than nothing. What else could they do with no other leads? They'd have to.
Darius glanced at the others, waiting to see what they all had to say. Mr. Thomas merely chose to say nothing for now and Arya simply spoke. It was true they couldn't go dressed like they were. As she said, there could be leads where there were others. How were they going to do all of that though?
He looked back over at White when he asked what he thought. Really, Darius hadn't any other ideas. He was no genius and what White and Arya said was more promising than them wandering about aimlessly. "Sounds better than anything I can come up with but...still dangerous. How're we going to even get in amongst them like we are now?"

Darius brought up a good point. How were they even going to get new clothes? White brought a finger to his mind in thought. What could they do? They could try going back to the Mad Hatter. But he had said there was danger approaching. It seemed like there were caught in a pickle.
White sighed. "Your right. How are we even going to get through their gates. I highly doubt they will just let us walk in."
"You have no time for that." The voice behind him made him jump again. Twirling on his feet, White had his kantana drawn. What was with t and people coming out of nowhere in this world? White was surprised to see though that it was the young girl that had directed them to this world to being with.
The girl in the white suit and top hat with the crazy smile was not smiling. In fact White was pretty sure she looked worried. White wasn't going to put away his kantana anytime soon. "What do you mean we have no time? Where is Darius's sister?! And what happened to this world? Is this the fault of your organization?!"
White could feel the anger in him rising. Once again they were right in front of him. Leading him here and there. He wanted answers! White's face was growing red with anger. Arya was at his side though and had grabbed his hand. White's face turned on her and a moment he felt like he would slash her. But she locked gaze with him and would not let his hand go. It was enough to take his attention away and to fight down his anger.
Mr. Thomas stepped forward. "I think we deserve some answers lady. Because if this is your fault, we will not be letting you leave." Mr. Thomas had his own blade out.
The girl looked right and left. "Look I don't have time for answers. They will ask questions if I'm gone too long." She said to him then turned to Darius. "Your sister is not here. I don't know what happened here, but you need to leave now! Go to Destiny Island! Maybe there is still time. Maybe you can get her away from him. You have no idea what hes capable. The hold he has on people. He will destroy everything."
The girl fleetingly glanced to her right and left again and even behind her. "I have to go." She turned away from them and suddenly a dark portal opened before her. She ran through it before anything else could be said and the portal closed.
White could only stand in awe. What did she mean by all of what she said? Either way it seemed clear. Whatever was happening here would have to wait another day. White was from Destiny Island. He couldn't sit by when knowing his home was going to be attacked.
