Darius looked over at Mr. Thomas when he answered him. According to Mr. Thomas, they could cut the snow with their weapons and pick up the blocks they make with it. Well, at least White and Darius that is. Lance might have a harder time at it since his weapon was a lance and not a sword. It would be more akin to a pick rather than a sword. Still, they had to try and Lance made no complaint about the idea.
Darius glanced at the area that Mr. Thomas had lead them over to. It looked as if he had gotten a significant amount of snow off of the home. All they had to do was get a window free of snow to permit Mr. Thomas through it. According to him, they had to dig at least six feet all around the top of the house to figure out where the window was located. If they were lucky, they would find the window much sooner before digging all the way around the home's surface.
"Yeah, four are better than one, but five's even better than four!" Darius stated. Lance gave a nod at that. Neither of them though expected the princess to help. It was just a suggestion and their way of including the princess since she was a part of their group now. They weren't sure how long the king wanted her to stick with them but she was with them for now. So thus, she was a part of the group.
It didn't take long before White to agree with what Mr. Thomas was suggesting. As he headed over to the other side and climbed down, Darius skimmed the home for a brief moment. Then, he went to where White was and climbed down as well. Summoning his armor, since that was the only way he could use his broadsword, Darius began hacking away at the snow. It cut like butter pretty much, easy to slice into. Unfortunately, gripping it was the struggle. Every time Darius made to grab a block, he'd accidentally crumbled an edge and have to really dig in the cut he made to lift the block he made. It was cumbersome work but not tiresome for Darius just yet. This kind of thing could take all day and they'd still not feel tired out from it.
Lance gave a nod at Mr. Thomas and wandered over to the side that the elf had indicated. All the while, his ancestor's spirit had followed him without his notice. Like Darius and White, Lance began to dig at the snow after summoning his lance. Unlike them, his method was a bit different in that he had to poke a good cut in and then pick a block up. However, this didn't seem to bother him and he worked in silence.

Princess Leliana had her own form of helping. She turned herself into a golem and with giant hands began picking up large chunks of snow on the ground. White had to laugh. He hadn't thought about that. This was going to go faster then they thought! With the golem's help, it wasn't too long before they exposed the window. It was White he saw it first.
"Golem girl! Dig over here we found the window." He said with a smirk. Princess Leliana walked over and picked up White and not very nicely tossed him out of the hole they were digging. She ignored Darius. That was for payback for calling her a golem girl. White, who hadn't been expecting it, let out a yelp as he landed on his backside.
Rubbing his lower back he said, "Alright I deserved that one." Standing up he watched Princess Leliana clear away the rest of the snow. Mr. Thomas had joined them on the other side when the snow was finally cleared.
"Alright. Now to just break the window." Mr. Thomas did a swift action with his sword. White was surprised with just how fast it was. He didn't even see the sword move! He only saw Mr. Thomas raise it and drop it back into his cane. Pushing forward, The glass of the window fell through.
Princess Leliana, who deemed their job complete, had turned back into her normal self. She glanced over at Darius. "Your friend needs to stop making remarks or I'm going to squish him."
-----------------------------
The portal opened up and Tears stepped out onto the cold snow that covered Halloween Town. She came out of the portal at a run, it closing behind her. Tears was not in the greatest state. She ran with a limp from a wound in her left leg caused from the fissure who had almost cut off her entire limb.
"It's only a matter of time before he strikes. Their use of us is at its complete. You must be careful Tears. I cannot protect you!" Those had been his exact words, and of course he had been right. As soon as the fissure had shown her to her room, he had attacked. She had hoped that he would somehow protect her, but he had not lied. He had his own things he needed to do there before they left. Both he and her had barley made it out.
"Go to Halloween Town! That's where they are. Now that Skull has moved his next move will be against Smiles and Ivory. Get White and Darius and their companions. Bring them back to the old headquarters. They can't attack us there."
And so she was here, limping while she ran. There was not much time left. She had to get to them.

Darius did his best to help and while he was working, he didn't once think of Leliana's special gift as a golem. Sure enough, she reminded them of her talent and began to take out massive chunks of snow. "Huh, didn't think of that!" he stated with an appreciative grin. Thanks to the princess, their workload was much easier and it took much less time. On their end, Darius wasn't finding anything. Lance and Mr. Thomas didn't seem to be finding anything on their's either. Then, it was White that had discovered the uncovered window.
The way he addressed Leliana, the princess didn't seem to like it. She had picked him up and seemed to have tossed him aside while she removed the snow from the window. Darius watched in astonishment. White had gotten pretty close to becoming a pancake! Thankfully, Leliana hadn't decided to kill him. Seeing as they had found the window, Darius carefully climbed out of the pit. He was careful to not end up in Leliana's way since he didn't plan on suffering the same punishment as White had.
Once Leliana cleared the window, Mr. Thomas went up to it and broke it. Now, the elf could make his way into the home and get that book he was searching for. When this was done, Leliana had transformed back to her normal form. Lance had returned to their group, looking at the window and at everyone else. As Leliana spoke, Lance rubbed the back of his head nervously. He had seen what she did to White.
Darius gave a nervous laugh in response. "I'll er...be sure to remind him that, Leliana." After that, Darius glanced over at White. Hopefully, the two wouldn't fight to the point of it escalating into Leliana trying to kill White.
"So...who's going inside then?" Lance asked them, trying to change the subject. Neither of them were aware yet of Tears searching for them.

White climbed back into the hole just as Lance joined the group. He had noticed the look Darius had given him after the Princess's comment. Making his way back towards the window, he looked to Lance while the teen asked his question. It was a good thing he had changed the subject. White was about to make another witty comment to the Princess.
Mr. Thomas had the answer though, not White. "I'll go. You can stay here, it won't take me long. Besides with all the snow around the room I have to be careful not to open the wrong door. Don't want the house piling on top of me." White nodded. That would not be a good thing. How would they find Arya then? Besides White didn't like the idea of a squished Mr. Thomas. The fact of the matter was that they had been with the elf and Arya for a while now. They had been through a lot together. Even Lance, had been through some hardships with them.
White thought that they had gone a long way since first meeting Darius in Neverland. They also had been through a lot of trouble as well, but White decided not to think on that. He had made some good friends. He had never thought that he would after Justice died. White thought he would forever be alone.
Watching Mr. Thomas cautiously enter through the window he said, "Be back in a few." White watched the figure of Mr. Thomas disappear further into the house. There wasn't much to do now but wait.
--------------------------
Lakari hadn't forgotten the layout of this house. It wasn't the same mansion that White and Darius had met Mr. Thomas. This was Arya's old home. It was her mothers. The room he stood in now was actually her mother's room. Lakari remembered watching her sit on the bed, holding her daughter in her arms. Arya had only been a year old then. Lakari wanted to do nothing more then strangle the both of them. But he couldn't. He was locked inside while "Mr. Thomas" served the mother and daughter. To think, he, had served another! The very thought was repulsive.
Leaving the room, Lakari entered a hallway that was lined with photos of Arya's mother. There were some of Arya with Mr. Thomas as well. They were a "family". Of course that was before Arya's mother had been murdered. It was her own fault though. Necromancers were dark magicians. They generally did not have rules. One would think that there were not any rules that would upset an already evil magician. But there was one rule that would get you killed.
Arya's mother had broken that rule by bringing him back. A necromancer should never bring back another necromancer because if their control over the subject was broken, nothing besides an utter obliteration of their body would kill them. Arya's mother had locked away Lakari's powers though, thus his ability to use necromancy. But it got her killed in the end.
Walking down the stairs, Lakari entered the kitchen. He remembered this kitchen and the dead body of Arya's mother on the floor. He remembered feeling sad. Him! Sad! As if death would made him sad! The book Lakari was looking for was in the basement, in Arya's mother laboratory. Finding the door to the basement, Lakari opened it and headed down the stairs.
Ah! This place did bring back memories. Spotting the many books on tables, the many different contractions, it all brought him back to the moment he was brought back, before he was sealed away. Lakari spotted the circle of white chalk where Arya's mother had trapped him. Upon being reborn she had entered a mental battle with him. He had been taken off guard, and it had cost him his powers.
"You are wondering why I have brought you back to life? I have brought you back to suffer! To show you the pain of what you had done to my family and I. Know that you will never be yourself again. You will be good Lakari. You will not hurt anyone anymore." Little good that had done her! Here he was back again! And all he needed to do was to kill the girl.
Lakari found the book exactly where he thought it would be. He had written the book himself. It held thousands of different techniques and also was an ancient artifact. The tome increased the user's magic. Just by holding the book, Lakari felt an increase in the abilities he could accomplish. He was now strong enough to locate that girl. Bringing the book with him, Lakari headed back up the stairs and out of the basement.
------------------------------
Tears had made it! They of course had not noticed her, being in a hole, but their footsteps had led her to them. Still limping as she walked, she appeared at the edge of the hole, on the other side of where White, Darius, Lance, and the princess that wanted to kill her before stood. They seemed to be in some sort of conversation.
"Run. Hide. Kill them. No. They will hurt you. Run. Kill them. The voices were coming back. She needed to get back to him, he'd help her with them. Clearing her throat very loudly she said, "I didn't think heroes would get caught in a hole."

Oh, Darius could just see White cooking something up next through that mind of his. None of it, he was sure, would be helping White's case at all. Darius really thought more trouble was going to come because White couldn't watch his tongue when hope came in the form of Lance changing the subject. Oh thank the heavens, he changed it! Darius didn't very much feel like getting stuck between the two fighting. He was, after all, close by them and the last thing he needed to be doing was running his ass off from an angry Leliana. Who probably wouldn't care less who got between her and White if she was feeling murderous.
Lance was happy to think that for now, he had successfully distracted Leliana and White from fighting again. He could see how uncomfortable Darius had gotten and knew danger was around the corner. White had seemed intent on responding and everyone knew where things would go from there if Lance hadn't spoken when he did. It was odd, some moments, the two seemed to get along and the next, they didn't. The more they could avoid them fighting, the better.
Darius and Lance both looked amongst themselves before Mr. Thomas spoke up. He had solved the problem for them by saying he would be the one to go inside. "Alright, Mr. Thomas. Be careful then!" Lance gave a nod at that while a spirit beside him shook his spiritual head. If he had the energy, he'd cause the thing to cave in on Lakari but he hadn't. He used a significant amount as it already was just to prevent Brayden from getting killed by that fissure. No, he needed to store his energy for another time. Until then, he'd have to watch and wait before he could warn Lance of him but that might not be for a while yet. He didn't want to jeopardize their situation further since he'd only be able to inform Lance which would target him if he was unable to relay it to the others before Lakari knew that he knew.
"Well, this looks like this is it. We'll finally be facing those villains..." Darius trailed off. He had a mixed sense of feeling. He was feeling a bit of a rush to finally know that the chance to confront the committee members lay just around the corner. However, he was also dreading it. He didn't want for any of them to end up dead. On top of that, he didn't feel ready yet to face his twin sister. He also feared that he might have to kill her. Really, he didn't want to have to kill her. She was his sister and she always will be. He didn't agree with the things she did but if she was responsible for the massacre here then he wouldn't hold back. He had also seen what she was doing on Destiny Island. How could she live with herself knowing what she was doing? It didn't make sense!
As he was pondering this, Tears had finally arrived, looking in on them from the top of the hole they had all been standing in. When she spoke, Darius and Lance both looked up rather fast. Someone having sneaked up on them was enough to make them react in such a way. "You!" Darius exclaimed. Just what was she here for now? Usually when she appeared, he had grown accustomed to some kind of warning or helpful hint. From their viewpoint, he couldn't see that she was injured.
Since it would be odd to speak this way, Darius climbed up the snow. He couldn't leap like he could on hard ground since the snow here was too soft. Once he reached the top, leaving the others behind, he gave pause at the sight of her leg. "You're...hurt?" he said slowly, almost not believing it. Had the committee found out she was tipping them off?

White had drawn his kantana, almost as if was a reflex. Hearing a sudden voice when you expected a place to be vacant could do that to a person. However spotting Tears came with a mix of emotions. After there various running into the girl White had similar feelings as Darius. He was a bit more suspicious of the girl though. After all she was still a part of the committee.
Wanting to tell Darius to be careful, White had to bite his tongue. Darius had moved up the snow before he could say anything out of her ear shot. Princess Leliana remembered Tears and also did not trust her. Though she had no weapon on her person, she was ready to become a golem in a moments notice.
Tears took a step back when Darius came towards her. The voices in her head were getting louder. She didn't like it when people got to close to her. Hearing Darius's concern didn't do much for the voices, but she spoke through them. Her voice came out a bit louder then she would have wanted because she was talking over their sounds in her mind. "Just a flesh wound."
"We have company?" A voice sounded to the right of White. Glancing over he noticed that Mr. Thomas had returned, with a book in his hand. "Oh. So we do." Upon seeing Tears, White noticed that Mr. Thomas reach down and picked up his cane sword. He had left it here before entering the window.
Tears ignored the new comer. There was too much happening and she needed to get back to him. The voices were getting louder with this new place and all these people. "There's not much time.... The fissures turned on our organization, we lost the majority of our members. I'm to take you all to my....friend." Tears paused on the last word, not quite sure what to call him. She did not know his name, and she was not his servant or apprentice. But he helped her when no one else could.
Listening to what Tears was saying, White didn't like this idea. What was to say that this wasn't a trap? While he believed that the fissures could probably very well turn on the committee, what was to say that this wasn't some trick. She had helped them before yes, but White did not trust her.
"We have the book. Mr. Thomas could find us a way there ourselves. Why should we go with you?"
Tears glanced down at White and gave him a look that was very similar to the look that the Princess gave him when she was angry. "What's with women?" he mumbled under his breath, thinking that no one could hear him.
"Look there isn't time to argue! Your sister's going to walk into a trap that could kill her Darius. My friend has a plan but we have to go meet him now if were going to have time for it to work!"

Darius knew he should treat Tears with caution but after her help so many times, he found her not as threatening as he would the other members of the committee. Oh, not in terms of danger. He was sure the girl could be dangerous when she wanted to be. However, for now, he knew that he could trust that there was a reason that she was here. She never showed up unless there was something important that she had to say. Why she was helping them was a curious thing but he appreciated it for now. Her advice was useful and he wasn't about to lend her a deaf ear.
As he climbed the snow, Lance furrowed his brow with some concern. He had seen Tears before but he wasn't trusting of her either. Still, the three of them had Darius's back. It would be suicidal of her to attack Darius if she ever wound up becoming their enemy. Hopefully that would never happen. He'd rather they remain on friendly terms for now. They could use help whenever they could get it and they definitely could do without more enemies.
When he reached the top of the snow pile and looked back at Tears, he wondered about her leg. If she allowed, he could heal her for helping them in the past. Tears took a step back from Darius though as if she feared the close proximity they were in. Had his appearance changed that much? He didn't think so otherwise Leliana would've made more of a fuss if she noticed the inhuman changes to them. Darius gave a bit of a flinch when Tears spoke loudly at him, saying her wound was nothing more than a flesh wound.
Before he could say anymore, Mr. Thomas arrived on the scene. Lance almost leapt out of his skin as he glanced back over at the elf. "Yes, we've company. She has come to forewarn us of something again it seems." At least, that's what it appeared to be. Lance remained put as Tears finally cut over their conversation. There wasn't much time apparently. Fissures had killed most of the committee and she was here to bring them to her friend. The way she said it though, Darius was wary. Who could she mean? Was it a trap? "...Friend?" he repeated, quizzical.
White from below interrupted her though before Darius could respond. Mr. Thomas had a book and yes, he could very much show them the way to Arya. White did have a point though Darius didn't voice it. It was wise to be cautious, after all. Still, either way, even if it were a trap, Darius figured by now they could be ready for anything. They had yet to fully tet what power Drake had given them. It would be a good opportunity to see how far it would go. After White spoke, Tears seemed to glare down at him like Leliana.
Lance, hearing White's mumbling, gave a sigh but couldn't help chuckling a little in response. White definitely didn't know how to interact with women right. Then again, neither did Lance but at least Lance knew enough to be careful with what he said. Oh well, White would learn at some point. Lance needed to learn a few things himself as well and not avoid women like they were the plague. Almost always, he kept himself at a distance from Leliana and even Arya.
At the mention of his sister, Darius couldn't help but feel his attention centered on Tears. As his eyebrows raised, he listened to what she was saying. If they didn't get a move on it now, his sister could be dead. It was at this moment that Darius felt torn. He knew his friends probably wouldn't be of a similar opinion. Still, if Ivory was in trouble, he knew that despite what she had done that he'd try to save her. Maybe it would change her opinion of him and make her less angry? Maybe, there was some saving her from what path she had gone down in?
In order to help Ivory, Darius had to go with Tears to meet her friend who had a plan to save them. However, they had to go now if they wanted it to work since time was running short! "I...uh..." Darius glanced over at his friends, not sure what to think. Lance remained impassive. He cared not what choice Darius made, he would follow if only to watch his back in case it was a trap. "Er...alright then...I'll go if they won't. Ivory's still my sister. I won't want her to die regardless of the things she has done..." Darius stated knowing very well it could be a trap but hoping it wasn't. Lance furrowed his brows at this but said nothing. Surely, the others would react differently.

White didn't like this. Darius's sister, if this was a tarp, was the perfect card to play. If she was in danger there was no way that Darius would leave her. He still cared about here in some fashion. White had seen her and what she had been responsible for back in Destiny Island. He could not shake that image from his mind. Ivory could very well be a villain now.
Listening to Darius's response, White felt torn. He didn't like this. He hated this situation. But how could he leave Darius now? How could he let his friend walk into what could be a trap by himself? Climbing up the snow, White made his decision. "I'll go with you as well. I won't leave my friend."
"Well if White and Darius are going, I have to go. Perhaps your friend can get us to Arya quicker." Mr. Thomas joined them on top of the snow and placed a hand on Darius's shoulder. He wasn't going to let the teen go alone either.
Princess Leliana was shaking her head. She didn't like this either. It seemed her choices were, if Lance decided to go it alone, to go with him, or go with White, Darius, and Mr. Thomas. She made her decision probably making Lance's pretty easy. "Guess I'm in as well then."
That left only Lance. Seeing as Darius was going to come, Tears had gone ahead and summoned a portal. It would lead them directly to the old headquarters. "Let's go, we don't have time to waste." She said, once everyone was ready.

If Darius had to go on alone, that was fine with him. He couldn't ask it of the others to follow him. He knew Ivory did terrible things but when it came down to it, she was still his twin sister. No matter what he thought,he just couldn't bring himself to kill her. If she needed help, even if she didn't want it, he would help her. After all, isn't that what big brothers did? They were twins, yes but he was the older one by a set number of minutes. Ever since then, he had the elder brother role down to almost a "T". Did she hate him because he was suffocating her maybe? Whatever the case, he was going to do what he could to save her life. Maybe it would resolve the feud between them and get her away from that lunatic, Smiles.
He was very well aware that his sister could be evil now but he kept clinging onto that one slight chance that she could be saved from that path. If he lost hope in her now, there was no saving her and there would be no hope for her left. He had to try, even if it killed him. Plus, this would bring them into the headquarters that they were trying to get into anyway. The sooner they were able to, the better since it was the committee and the fissures they were trying to find. So, why not try it now? They weren't high in numbers but they had been through a lot together already. It was time to test themselves. Hopefully, they would come out of it alright.
Hearing a familiar voice, Darius turned to find White climbing up the snow. "You don't have to come with me if you feel otherwise, White. I won't drag anyone else into my problems. I know Ivory did bad things but it's...hard to explain. She's family, I can't just turn my back on her. I know, she's probably too far gone by now but...I still think there's a chance. If only a small one." White still seemed intent on sticking around and before long,Mr. Thomas decided to come over as well. Darius looked up and over his shoulder at the elf. "I-!"he made to say but Mr. Thomas had already placed a hand on his shoulder, as if reassuring him.
Next, Leliana followed suit but she seemed less willing to go and understandably so. However, ultimately, she decided that she too would go. Lance was surprised with everyone's reactions. He could tell most were uncertain of the consequences and even he was too. Like him, everyone wanted to go. Relieved that he and Darius weren't going to be the only ones, Lance climbed up the snow as well. "I made a promise to my grand uncle. I will accompany you no matter where you go. I am uncertain but I will go...I think of us as friends even though I've not been around as long as White, Arya and Mr.Thomas have. That and White's technically family according to us Wilders so I'm going regardless." With that, it was decided between everyone that they would all go.
Darius had to fight tears that were threatening well up in his eyes then as he looked back at everyone. He knew this could be dangerous but knowing they were coming made him feel relieved. "I...thank you, everyone...this...means a lot to me." No sooner had he finished saying this when Tears opened up a portal for them all. Turning back to them, she spoke. Darius looked back at her and hoped that Tears was true to her word. If she wasn't, then they would be in for a nasty fight. Either way, they were in for a nasty fight, he figured. Now, it was time to see what they could do here.
"Alright, thank you. After you." With that, Darius and Lance would follow Tears in through the portal.

((OOC: I'm going to create a new thread in the Land of Departure. It won't be a long thread so I figured instead of going to Smiles and Ivory, we'll just continue the short thread there. Then after that we'll do a thread in Castle Oblivion, which will be with all the characters. I'll email you the thread.))
