”I don’t know…But it doesn’t really matter. As long as it never leaves this lab my mission will be successful.” The master often told her that there were certain technologies that the world was simply not ready to be burdened with. Whenever one such threat made its self apparent he would send her in the make sure no damage could be done from it, though she sometimes wondered if it was for his own gain rather than the benefit of whomever he wished to help.
Trish spun around, obviously surprised as Khonsu asked her who she really was, as if he already knew and was just hinting at her to blurt it out. ”What? I-I’m Trish. That’s it, nothing else. Just me, what else would I be?” She gave off a short nervous laugh as she spoke quickly through the lie. Of course this couldn’t be further from the truth. She really was Patricia Emery, the oracle of Bijyma, the master’s prized possession, his apprentice. his slave, his apprentice, his slave his apprentice! Learn your place! ”Shut up.” Trish turned away from the man and whispered the words to the voice screaming in the back of her mind. It simply laughed in response as if to mock her.
Oh yeah, and a monster, she was that to… Khonsu hadn’t been hinting he knew about her other had he? Couldn’t be. That drawing he had made of her was so angelic, so innocent there wasn’t even a hint at what lay beneath the façade. He couldn’t know and she would make sure he never did. ”I’m uh…” The woman had to take a moment to clear her thoughts so that she could even remember the second question Khonsu had posed. ”The master sent me. That’s why I’m here. I go where I am needed.” She began to walk about the lab once more, picking up each beaker she came across and throwing it against the wall. As she reached the end of the last table she turned back to Khonsu, heading back in his direction. She reached over the table that the Dr. Finkelstein had previously placed her on, grabbing a lamp that had been put to the side. With a short sigh she threw it to the ground just like the beakers. It shattered and sent sparks flying into the volatile liquids she had drenched the room with. The moment the solutions began to catch fire she grabbed Khonsu’s hand and ran for the stairs. ”C’mon”

Christoph wasn't at all pleased with what Trish said and did. As she spoke he stepped back away from her and as soon as he saw that she had set the place ablaze and reached out for his hand he pulled away from her and fell to the floor against a wall. As the flames grew brighter he didn't know what to do this girl was hiding something from him something that she didn't want others to know about and he had no idea how far she would go to keep others from finding out about her. If she was already willing to kill this old man and burn down this lab what was stopping her from killing him who saw the whole thing and who even knew her name if it was her real name. She was dangerous and he didn't want to risk death not yet there was still so much he wanted to paint and see.
He slowly rose up from the ground silent as his chains dropped to the ground with a large clank. “G-g-g-g-get away f-f-f-f-f-from me. I don't k-k-know you.” Keeping his face towards the ground his chains started to rattle around and. One of them launched out from the ground and went right after Trish. “L-l-l-leave me alone.”

Trish’s expression was one of hurt as Khonsu withdrew his hand from her grasp. The look only deepened as he began to insist she leave him. ”Khonsu…” She took a step back as his chains dropped down from underneath his sleeves once more. She was confused, not quite understanding what was happening until the heavy metal links began to come to life. Trish let out a surprised gasp as Khonsu’s chain lurched forward, quickly wrapping about her waist. She could immediately feel the draining effects she had seen on the old scientist just moments before.
”Khonsu, please. If you don’t let me go you’re going to die!” Her voice dripped with panic, but the fear was not for herself. She knew at this rate it was only a matter of time before the boy unleashed hell. Already she was growing weaker; she had maybe a couple minutes to get the chains off of her before it took over. She continued to tug at the heavy links but they wouldn’t budge. The woman tried summoning two orbs of dark energy to each hand but as she slammed them against the restraints they seemed to do nothing but ricochet off with minimal effect. Trish’s attention turned reluctantly to the frightened man. If he didn’t let her go she’d have to attack the source of the problem.
It was hard to tell whether it was the heat of the room or the effect of Khonsu’s chains, but one of them was beginning to get to the woman as she slowly began to waver back and forth. She didn’t understand. This man had taken such an effort to save her and heal her and just because her answer was not up to his standards he intended to kill her? None of it made sense. He always wanted to kill you… No he doesn’t, he’s nice. He’s just scared. Kill him before he kills you. The voice was growing louder as her head began to pound. She continued to pull desperately at the links.

The cries for help from Trish didn't go unanswered. The chains slowly unwrapped from around her body as he backed into a wall. The flames continued to engulf the lab and the heat started to affect Christoph's consciousness. “I-I-I-I'm sorry T-T-Trish. P-p-p-p-please forgive me.” Christoph slowly opened up a portal and backed into it as he slowly passed out from the heat and fell backwards into another world with nothing in hand and no clue as to what happened to Trish after he left. The only trace he left in the world that was Halloweentown was his drawing pad with the image of what he thought Trish looked like to him.
Christoph landed in a world surrounded by water. As the waves gently crash on the shore and hit him he slowly awakens seeing that his clothing is covered in sand and salt water. Quietly and carefully he walked over to a palm tree nearby and started to take in his surroundings the more he looked around the more he noticed how quiet it was here and how empty it looked as if there was nobody on the island. Eventually looking past the shoreline he saw a large landmass. He assumed that based on the buildings he saw here on the island from where he was hiding under the shade and the size of the landmass that this was just an island getaway for someone and at the moment it was empty.
His clothing slowly changed from his large white coat into a loose white open shirt and a pair of long white pants and a pair of brown shoes. His mask turned into a pair of sunglasses and his hair fell down reaching his shoulders. Christoph wasn't one for the beach really, however the place was quiet and peaceful and after what just happened he wanted to relax so walking up some stairs he ended up sitting against a tree and just listened to the sounds of the ocean. His only thought at the moment was how beautifully peaceful this world was and how it would be nice to paint it.

”Khonsu-“ Trish let out a low groan as she fell to her knees the moment the man’s chains released her. Already the flames were reaching the ceiling, working their way in towards the two, beginning to lick at the woman’s dress. ”Wait!” The woman stumbled to her feet as she noticed Khonsu had summoned a portal and was about to step through. The moment he disappeared through she ran for it, she didn’t want it to end like this. Trish dove for the portal, but it had closed too quickly, she was only able to fit her hand in. Immediately she activated her own portal magic to force it back open and crawled through. Their magic combined wouldn’t put her in exactly the same place, but at least she could get on the same world as him.
Trish collapsed the moment she entered the portal, taking a moment while in between worlds to pull herself together. Her hands clutched her head as she let out a groan of agony. ’Stop, go away, I’m not letting you out’ It acted as if it hadn’t even heard as it seemed to slam against the inside of her skull even harder. If it wasn’t intangible she’d worry that it would shatter the bone entirely. ’I’ll break his neck, rip his t- Shut up!’ How could being trapped in that man’s chains for no more than a minute bring on such a harsh attack? It took every ounce of willpower for her to not pass out and let her other take over. She lay on the ground of the portal’s limbo, she simply waited until her other began to subside and she felt it was safe enough to carry on.
As Trish finally staggered out of the portal, she found herself in a musty cave. She took a moment to get her bearings, first turning her attention to herself. She was pleased to find her usual uniform had taken place of the evening dress she had been forced into in Halloween Town. The familiar weight of her swords hung at her side and her hood fell heavy over her face once more. Her red leather boots were almost completely silent as she began to walk the perimeter of the cave, running her fingers along the walls.
Crudely drawn pictures, by children maybe? There were faces and something that looked like a shooting star and other miscellaneous scenes. None of them seemed to make too much sense. Eventually the woman made her way to a wooden door in the back of the cave…It didn’t have a handle. Trish pushed against it, but it wouldn’t budge. She tried prying her fingers under the door and pulling but after a couple minutes it seemed of no use. There was no way she was getting through there…Trish turned on her heel and headed towards what she could only assume was the alternate exit of the cave.
As Trish finally found herself out in the open, the sun hit the back of her hood hard and she could feel the occasional mist of the nearby waterfall. Why had Khonsu picked this tropical paradise out of any world? Was this where he lived? Speaking of the guy, where was she? The Island didn’t seem too large as she noted the curve of the beach in the distance. She was sure she’d be able to find him soon, then she could figure out how to straighten out this misunderstanding.
