((S'alright. I had to take a break for alittle while anyway))
Pr0tip's personal shield (not like Ironhide's) once struck, prompting him to do just that for a moment to get Olorin back in his sights. A standoff. Well- it would have been if not for the Elite Guard which rushed toward Olorin. And Pr0 used this moment to put some distance between him and the others, allowing him to pick off targets from a safe distance.
Once the AV was finished, The Vet was quickly back on his feet and joined the fray to help Olorin. The AV joined him shortly thereafter, keeping a short distance to fire at the ones skirting on the sidelines.
The decker got to her feet, now committed to the consequences of her actions. There wasn't time to thank Olorin for stepping in, so she simply backed the others up by whipping out her smgs and letting loose streams of bullets. Now the Elites were hard pressed...
Laughing continued his seemingly never ending assault. What was he planning? Was he trying to just wear Kenji down? That wasn't too likely to happen given that all Kenji had to do was not get hit. In comparison, Laughing was expending more energy with his attacks. But then with one swift movement, he slammed the ground with one of his disks and generated a short ranged shockwave. And then he slammed the ground with the other one, but this one sent a shockwave hurtling toward Kenji. He then did a low backflip and threw his disks, which splintered into dozens of shards that would release small blasts on impact.
Inferno and Ironhide... still beating the crap out of eachother with no signs of stopping yet. Until Ironhide was suddenly shot through the back by a beam of light. Inferno froze, trying to process what had just happened as Ironhide shattered. It didn't take a genius to figure out who the shooter was...
"News Flash! If one side doesn't die soon, I will be randomly picking off targets!" Mage barked, shouldering a sleek and now smoking rifle. Whatever it was, it must have been powerful to take out Ironhide in one shot. Then again, Ironhide and Inferno had been going at it for awhile.
Now free, Inferno broke into a sprint toward the others.

Olorin scowled. Well, he was close to getting the sniper, but his shields and the elites meant that he was pushed back and was unable to do much as the sniper regrouped to a comfortable distance. However, he noticed he had bought enough time for the veteran, AV, and even Decker to regain their ground and fight back. Now the elite guards were the ones being pressured - four to four. Olorin quickly fired a spray of energy bolts at one of the shielded ones while his guard was down. He rapidly raised his shield, but that obscured the elite's vision as well, allowing Olorin to rush in from underneath (while still firing his bolts, forcing the elite's shield up still), and rapidly stab him three times. He watched with satisfaction as he shattered to pieces. There goes another one.
Three vs. three, and there was Decker on their side. They could handle this. Turning both crossbows towards the sniper, he blinked with surprise as a blast of energy destroyed Ironhide.
News Flash! If one side doesn't die soon, I will be randomly picking off targets!
He scowled. Well, this was getting irritating. He felt like a puppet dancing to his whim. He wondered if the Mage had ever been part of a real hunt - a hunt where the roles of hunter and hunted could easily become switched in the right circumstances if either side became careless. Once he had the chance, he would show him what a true hunt would be like. For now, he rapidly fired a barrage of bolts at the sniper, sneaking to suppress him.
Kenji was doing admirably in not getting hit, parrying and dodging his attacks this way and that, cutting out unnecessary movements to preserve his energy and stamina. After all, it didn't matter if he dodged barely and greatly, an attack that didn't hit didn't hit. However, it seemed Laughing decided to stop playing around anymore. He rapidly launched two shockwaves and finally a short-ranged hail of shards, seeking to obliterate him in one go. It seemed Kenji was in a bad situation, and the attacks all collided, creating a large explosion.
For a second, nothing happened. Then all of a sudden, a spectral figure of light and darkness was beside Laughing, swinging his own Blade of Balance with the intention of taking off his head. Even if Laughing managed to dodge that, he had run straight into Kenji, who swung his blade in that odd slash of his - the one that sliced multiple times with only one stroke. Kenji hadn't dodged that one - he simply created a barrier of golden light to block it, and the explosion obscured Laughing's vision enough for him to take advantage of it. He had summoned Tao to ambush him, then read his movements to go ahead of him and trap him.
Something told Kenji, though, this wasn't the end of it.

And it wasn't, though it would be a narrow escape. So narrow infact, that the front of Laughing's helmet would be cleaned straight off as his body suddenly locked into position. His body was glowing in a fashion almost identical to Ironhide's full body shield, but the only difference was that Laughing couldn't move. Which could have been a bad thing if not for the fact he was invulnerable, which allowed him to withstand Kenji's attacks.
When the shield came off, it shattered and sent a shockwave surging a short distance in all directions. Rising back to his feet, his face was as you may have expected, a smiley face. Literally. It was almost like he was mocking you even when he was serious. In one swift motion, he ripped something off of his armor, something sparking and now useless. Kenji should be able to guess that it had been whatever Laughing used to narrowly escape his doom. And then a shadow fall over Laughing, shortly followed by Inferno. Laughing simply jumped back, avoiding Inferno's punch.
"Stand still!" Inferno growled, now engaging Laughing who was still easily dodging Inferno's attacks.
"You're not worth my time," Laughing remarked, tagging Inferno twice with his disks before nimbly getting around him and going back after Kenji. And now Inferno was angry...
Pr0 mentally calculated the damage his shield had taken earlier, deducing that he didn't need to avoid all of the bolts. His shield would be knocked out, but he'd still get a free shot at the end of it. So he moved and took part of the spray, knocking out his shield as he retaliated with a shot from his rifle. Which was then blocked by the Decker's shield wall. This was a problem...
The other three elites were being held up by The Vet, who had switched to a pair of tonfa-like weapons with glowing 'staves' on one end. He was essentially just barely holding two of them back, while the third 'danced' around the AV's shots. The Decker positioned herself between them and Pr0tip, allowing her shield wall to keep them out of his line of sight. But it wasn't so wide that Olorin couldn't fire shots around it.
MAGE meanwhile true to his word, was preparing to take out another target at random. But who would it be? He had his eye set on either Olorin or that Decker...

Figures that it wouldn't be that easy. Kenji was knocked away by the shockwave while Tao was instantly in front to block any counterattacks. It didn't come instantly, though, as Laughing had to recover. They both saw that he took something off his armor. It was sparking and looked broken. Well, there was one thing that came out of their counterattack: It forced Laughing to use his one-off trump card. Unless he had other ones to play, he had better step up his game or he would be overwhelmed. They watched as Inferno came in and was easily avoided by Laughing - with an insult for good measure.
Kenji and Tao were ready. Although Tao had the same sword style as Kenji, he decided to mix it up a bit to keep Laughing guessing. And so, he summoned the Blade of Balance's sheath. It didn't get much use as Kenji simply summoned it to his hand, but it allowed Tao to go from a regular blade style to an iaido style - something very different. Kenji kept his Blade of Balance at the ready, and when Laughing was close enough, they both split up and flanked him before striking in vicious combo of strikes. Tao's sword flicked in and out of his sheath, slicing faster than normal eyes could perceive while Kenji maneuvered around Laughing's discs to strike him. Their fighting style was utterly in sync, better than any partner, even though that had trained a lifetime together.
No surprise, though. Tao was a weapon spirit, created from a part of Kenji's own soul as well as the residual magics that resided in the Blade of Balance. Tao was essentially a part of Kenji.
Olorin was preparing countermeasures for the return shot when he noticed a shield wall springing up and blocking it. He blinked in surprise and spared a quick glance at Decker. Well, she was truly on their side now, no doubt about it. She would definitely be an asset in this battle. He fired around the shield , wary of any counterattacks, at the sniper, but he knew sooner or later, he'd have to close the distance in order to finish him off. He still had a few tricks, but he needed to set things up, making sure he didn't get away easily.
As he did so, Olorin's eyes flicked to the MAGE. He was prepared to fire again at one of them. Judging by the way he was pointing his gun and the direction his eyes were pointing, it was either him or Decker. He scowled as he calculated. In terms of this fight, then Decker would be the better option to survive. She was better-equipped to deal with not only this fight but this environment in general. However, just because she had switched sides and was now fighting with them wasn't a guarantee she wouldn't try to backstab them. On the other hand, Olorin's skill and loyalty was never in question, but he was definitely having a rough time, and wasn't sure if he could be of much assistance aside from his fighting skills.
He made his decision. He hoped it was the right one.

Two against one? No matter. Laughing had battled far greater odds. But atleast for right now, he couldn't go on the offensive. So he kept on the defense, parrying and avoiding attacks masterfully. To be fair, he hadn't ever needed to work this hard at staying alive before. He waited, keeping on his toes until just the right moment, and then he spun on his heels and deflected both Kenji and Tao's attacks and put alittle distance between them and him. "Limit Removal engaged," Laughing stated, activating his voice activated program that would even the odds.
His circuitry started to change from orange, to a sickly green-yellow color. This was followed by what sounded like excruciating pain as a growth sprouted from Laughing's back, quickly expanding till something burst out of it. A nearly perfect copy of Laughing. The only difference was that it's circuitry was a slightly different hue. Regaining his composure, Laughing and his clearly viral clone engaged Tao and Kenji. Until Inferno landed in the midst of the group, releasing a large fiery blast from his fist. "Don't. Ignore. ME!" Inferno bellowed, rage burning off of him like his aura as he lounged at one of the Laughing Men...
MAGE waited, and when he lined up his shot, he fired at The Decker who was suddenly pushed out of the way by Olorin, who took the shot instead. Well, that wasn't who he had been aiming at initially, but he wasn't going to complain about it now.
The Decker was stunned after Olorin pushed her out of the way. Watching as he was suddenly hit by a blue beam of energy that went all the way through, shattering a split second later. "No!" The AV program shrieked. Only one of the Elites were left by this point, but he decided to back off for now. There were too many against him at this point.
Pr0tip parried Olorin's shots using his rifle, and his sword. Seeing one of his opponents go down trying to save the other. That was good, and bad. Mage was getting impatient, and there was no telling who else would be picked off next. He also noticed that Laughing had changed into a virus. That... was even worse. Things had gone out of control ever since these users came here. "Time to end this," Pr0tip muttered, drawing his sword and breaking into a sprint toward The Decker and the others.
Inferno was swinging like mad at one of the Laughing Men, but seemed to be struggling even more now that Laughing used his last trump card. Inferno didn't think he was even the same person any more. For one thing, he wasn't using his disks any more. He had a pair of wicked looking claws that Inferno had a feeling he didn't want to get hit by. Which was easier said then done, because Laughing seemed to be even faster then he had been a moment ago. Didn't help that he had taken a beating from Ironhide before this...
MAGE meanwhile, continued to watch and determine who would fall next.

Kenji looked in shock as Laughing began transforming. He didn't realize his opponent had this kind of trump card to play. To make things worse, Tao had retreated back into his Blade of Balance with a whirl of magic. Not out of cowardice, but he had reached the limit of his power to stay in the outside world. He scowled. Now he was facing against two Laughings, each of them with claws that Kenji had a feeling he didn't want to be hit by. Just by looking at him, it seemed that his fundamental nature had changed. He had turned into something... different. Nothing even remotely beneficial - a demon made only to kill, so to speak.
That's how it looked like to him, anyway. He didn't know nearly enough about this world to know truly what he was. He only knew it was bad and he needed to take care of it. Then all of a sudden, a blast ripped through the air. He glanced and saw Decker was about to be obliterated - when Olorin went and shoved her out of the way, taking the hit instead. His eyes widened as he shattered. He took a moment to glare at the MAGE. He would pay for that. But for now... he had a situation on his hands.
Orion was not having any luck. He was definitely being pressured by the unexpected nature of his foes, and Kenji knew he was the only one who might be able to match Laughing. He dashed in and slashed, driving away the two of them and giving them a bit of breathing room for a bit. "Orion, go take care of the sniper! Do it now! I'll deal with this!" With that, he turned back to the two Laughings. He wondered if their mental state also reverted to that of beasts or, if still sentient, just a primitive state. There was one simple way to test that.
He channeled his power into his aura, which rapidly expanded in strength. Those in the vicinity (the sniper, Orion, Decker, and everyone else included) would suddenly feel a suppressing force on them - one that seemed to restrict their breathing out of pure fear. It was the feeling that something monumental, infinitely powerful, and unstoppable was facing them down. This was no logical or normal kind of fear that they could ignore easily. This was the fear of death staring them in the eye, delivered by of a being beyond comprehension. By a being who could crush them within a millisecond if they so wished. A fear that stayed with beasts and people for millions of years.
This was primal fear.
Kenji was using this in the hopes of driving the two off, perhaps forcing them to give ground and giving him time to strategize. However, he knew such a tactic was temporary at best. Still, it gave him at the very least a few seconds to plan...

"Don't tell me what to do," Inferno growled back at Kenji as the second Laughing nimbly leaped over him. Even in a viral state, he wanted nothing to do with him. And then suddenly, a sense of overwhelming fear suddenly washed over him. "Whoa..." Inferno thought more in awe then fear. His body froze for a second, but just a second. It was on reflex too. He hated it. As for the Laughing Duo, they barely flinched. All they did was touch hands, creating a magnetic pull for them to hold hands. And then they attacked!
Their speed seemed to increase even further as they sped toward Kenji, thrusting their claws at him with intent to impale...
Pr0tip had engaged the other three programs, able to surpass them all as the last remaining Elite joined the fray. Their only saving grace was The Decker's hammer, which with it's shockwaves, managed to create small breaks in Pr0tip's attacks. And then they all froze for a moment from Kenji's aura, giving Inferno a chance to catch up to them. He took out the Elite with a single punch before they regained their senses. But Pr0tip had no intention of being hit by Inferno, at all.
MAGE seemed... completely unphased by the aura. Maybe because of his distance, or some other factor. "Hmm, you're just full of surprises," Mage remarked quietly, getting ready to take aim again. This time it was unclear who he was looking at...

Don't tell me what to do.
His words say one thing, but his actions say another. Whether it was because he was unwilling to verbally accept orders or because circumstances forced him to, he was going to listen to Kenji anyway. It seemed it was the latter in this case, as Laughing had simply leaped over Orion to attack Kenji again. He frowned slightly. It seemed he had the attention of both the MAGE and Laughing, mainly because he seemed to be the more formidable of the two. He quickly took stock of what effect his aura did to the surrounding combatants and, of course, his opponent(s).
He glanced out of the side of his eye that Orion had recovered from his Potentia Numen the fastest and had knocked out the Elite. Kenji wasn't surprised. He had expected Orion to come out of it fastest anyway. Now, it was the sniper against four people. No matter who he was, the sniper was not in a good situation. That left Kenji facing against two opponents - two Laughings, and Kenji knew that they were perfectly in sync. They were copies of one another, just as he and Tao were copies as well (in a sense), and so could coordinate their attacks perfectly. They didn't seem the least bit slowed down by Kenji's aura, which told Kenji that they have no emotion or thought anymore but pure bloodlust. Sure enough, they joined their claws and rushed him. Kenji had just enough time to stab his sword into the ground before their claws impaled him. He coughed out blood and doubled over... and vanished.
The real Kenji was behind them a good distance, perfectly unharmed. All they had hit was an afterimage. However, the sword was still embedded in the ground where Kenji had left it - and it was now right where the two Laughings were. Channeling his magic into the sword, all of a sudden, the area around the Blade began erupting with the darkness of the void, seeking to dissolve and obliterate any who remained in the area. He doubted that it would finish either of them off completely, but at the very least, the unexpected nature of the attack would catch them off guard and severely damage them.
He took stock. The fact that the two of them were immune to his Potentia Numen meant they couldn't feel fear. One would consider that an advantage in a fight, but only skilled warriors knew that it'd be a weakness. He could exploit that. He already was. He wondered if they could feel pain either. Everything seemed to be going well, so far...

Nothingness. Though visually it looked as if they had hit something, the Laughings felt nothing but air. Instincts warned them of a counter! But not in the form that they were expecting. They barely had enough time to get away from the sword as it began releasing darkness, only managing to avoid the brunt of the attack before they regrouped a distance away from Kenji. But now the circuitry of one of them had changed color again. "UPGRADING!" they both intoned with a distorted voice. The fact they could speak meant little as they were still clearly viruses now.
Their bodies seem to break away, the color of their circuits pouring out like a floodgate was opened while taking shape. Their physical bodies began to reform, becoming more abstract then earlier. It looked like their bodies were jagged and made of polygons. One Laughing was a gold-yellow with amber-like circuits, the other was violet colored with purple circuits. Both still bore a humanoid shape, but that was it. The Violet Laughing suddenly launched itself at Kenji with a high speed leap attack, swinging a fist with an energy beam protruding from the side of it's wrist...
The gold one hung back for a moment, casting what seemed to be a healing spell to heal them both. Then it joined the fray with a leaping attack of it's own. Regardless if they hit or missed, the violet Laughing then split into several forms. One was real, the others were just weak holograms, but they could still do damage while they existed. All several went after Kenji, trying to overwhelm him with attacks from different angles. It seemed the duo had sacrificed some speed for power. They were still fast, but not as fast as they had been.
Pr0tip was definitely in a bad situation. They had utility functions and healing, a skilled opponent, and a Hulk. He was spending too much time trying to keep out of melee range of Inferno to even attack, which would probably cost him in the form of Mage sniping him, or the veteran on their team. He wasn't too worried about the AV or Decker, they were only problems indirectly for different reasons. The AV program had healing functions, whereas The Decker had offensive utility functions. "Stop running ya coward!" Inferno said getting irritated with how everything he attacked could avoid his attacks...
"You're an idiot," Pr0tip stated simply. And then a shot suddenly ran out, this time the AV program was hit. Everyone watched as she shattered as the air around them seemed to become... tense. It was a similar feeling to Kenji's fear inducing aura. Except instead of a primal fear, it was more of "HUGE threat detected" kind of feeling. And it was coming from Inferno, whose aura was now burning intensely. He was distracted, this was his chance! Pr0 pulled his shotgun out and aimed, only to suddenly have it ripped out of his hand. Yanking him off his feet in the process, he had sealed his fate.
Inferno heard the shotgun rezzing up, and on reflex grabbed it with a tug. Pr0 had been pulled off his feet slightly as Inferno spun around, grabbing him by the face with his other hand. He then slammed Pr0tip into the ground, hard. He didn't derezz yet. So Inferno did it again, and again, until finally just incinerating Pr0tip in his hand. Another one down... but that didn't make him feel any better.
"Well, it looks like I'll be playing with you three then. I hope you're prepared," Mage commented, derezzing his rifle and pulling out his staff. He then attached his disk to the top, giving his weapon a quick flourish. Now things were getting interesting...

Yet another trump card?! Kenji was honestly starting to wonder whether this... thing was just making up powers as it went along. But that was beside the point. It seemed like it wasn't anywhere near done as it transformed yet again. His Ruina de Nihil left a bit of damage, but certainly not much. This was going to be ardous, to say the least. Whatever Laughing was, he was no longer anything sentient - their actions and the sound of their voice as they said 'upgrading' told him as such. As such, he held his blade tighter and got ready.
Kenji was a bit relieved as the colors of their circuits changed. It gave him an easier way to distinguish one from another. At least he knew who and which one to focus his assaults on and they couldn't confuse him. However, their body shapes had significantly changed, and it was obvious that they weren't normal programs anymore - if they could even be defined as such. They seemed intent on doing nothing but killing him. Kenji had to wonder if they could go back to normal after using such a power, but it didn't matter. That question would have to remain academic - he would destroy them, here and now.
As the purple one leaped in, Kenji dodged to the side, but its fierce assault prevented him from going after the gold one, who appeared to use a healing spell. He scowled. Great. He'd have to take care of the gold one first. However, Kenji was caught off guard as multiple violet Laughings began lunging at him. Blocking as he might, he still got several wounds - nothing very serious, as they avoided any vitals, but still. Kenji managed to see the flow of data, however, and just barely managed to dodge the real one. HE gritted his teeth. This was not easy.
He suddenly felt killing intent and turned slightly. If he didn't take the time to see who was causing it, he would have blasted off the person's head. He watched as Orion savagely beat down the last Hunter, leaving only Laughing standing. Wait... there was one less now in their group. The MAGE must have taken her out while he had been distracted with the duo. He turned back and braced himself for the next assault. This wasn't going well. At all.

Kenji wasn't far from the truth in his thinking that Laughing was creating new functions. What he said earlier, "Limit Removal" should have been the clue he needed. So long as they remained active, they would continue to change and try to adapt in order to see him killed. The violet Laughing's holograms one by one flickered out, leaving the original two. This time they launched a volley of shots from their wrists, not as dangerous as their close range potential, but it would prove they were prepared for distance should it come to that. Not that they needed it, as they both leaped in to attack, quickly back in melee range again...
MAGE finally joined the fray, leaping down from his platform as Inferno and co. quickly mourned the loss of their comrade. All that was left was her disk, which Inferno picked up. "What's the plan?" The Vet said as MAGE casually strolled toward them as if nothing had happened.
Inferno tensed. "I break him into a million pieces! THAT'S WHAT!" Inferno roared, not wasting a second more as he kicked off and quickly entered melee range of MAGE. But this was a feint. Inferno was quickly getting used to nearly everything in this world being able to dodge his melee attacks, so when MAGE moved, there would be fire coming after him...
But unfortunately for Inferno, MAGE was... expecting it. He didn't move, to which Inferno didn't question it and went in all the way, and that was when MAGE moved. It was so sudden, Inferno wasn't sure what happened. But as soon as he swung, his target was no longer there. MAGE moved around him, slipping up behind him with his staff. But Inferno released fire from his foot, swinging his foot back and over his head into a flip. He sent a vertical wave of fire in response to MAGE's attack, who suddenly vanished in a burst of light. MAGE reappeared a short distance away. "Well, you're not as dumb as you look," MAGE commented seriously.

Kenji scowled as he blocked the shots coming his way, whirling his sword. It seemed that Laughing had become much more flexible, becoming stronger and more powerful. Not only were there two of him now, but now he could heal, use both short-range and long-ranged moves, and was much faster. He could not manipulate him too easily as he was immune to fear - the fact that his Potentia Numen had absolutely no effect on him was proof of that. The only opening he could exploit was that he was driven to kill him at any cost. From his peripheral vision, he could see the MAGE finally joining the battle and Orion engaging him. Not like he could do anything for now - he had his hands full defending himself from the assault of the two Laughings.
He considered his options. They were used to his swordsmanship, that much is clear. They knew he was an adept swordsman, but the fact that they were caught off-guard by his magic earlier showed him that they could only adapt and change based on what they had seen him do. They saw him use his sword and speed, and so they changed themselves so that they could take advantage of those - using their own numbers, range, and speed to lock him down so his speed wouldn't be nearly as effective anymore, as well as getting more defensive weapons to stop his blade. In the end, it was a battle of who could adapt the most.
Luckily, Kenji still had plenty of trump cards to play, and he was skilled enough to pull them off.
As the two came in for the kill again, Kenji rapidly moved to dodge them - something that would be impossible if it weren't a combination for Kenji's skill, physique, and eyes - and did something unexpected: He stabbed his sword downward into the ground and hooked the gold Laughing's blade between the blade and hand. He didn't try to go for the hand itself as that would be too obvious and easily dodged. Then he let go of his Blade and instantly closed in on the purple Laughing. He got almost literally in his face and began pummeling him using martial arts, using in particular low kicks, his shoulder, back, and elbows. What he needed wasn't range, but a point-blank attack pattern that rendered the purple Laughing unable to use his weapons effectively. Infighting. It was risky, to say the least, but effective.
He kept following the purple Laughing's movements, reading his flow and moving to intercept him so that he couldn't escape no matter what he tried. When he got the change, he rapidly caught Laughing's arm and gave a swift strike intended to snap it in half, then he pointed to the base of his neck and fired a concentrated beam of divine light. If it went well, it would pierce through its throat, allowing Kenji to finish up by beheading it with a resummoned Blade of Balance.
Let's just hope it went that way.

The purple Laughing blocked Kenji's barrage with it's arms, hopping over his low kicks. It just took the attacks and waited for the right moment. When it saw that moment, it threw a punch at Kenji which was promptly caught before it's arm was snapped. And then there was a beam of light, it's fate would be sealed! And the other Laughing knew it, which was why it unleashed a barrage of shots from it's hands at Kenji's back while he was finishing it's partner off. Even if he backed off, the shots would finish the other laughing. One way or another, one of them was going down...
The Veteran and Decker fired at MAGE, who skillfully and cockily deflected the shots with his staff until sending some of the shots back at the two. Then Inferno engaged him again, now using fire to try and limit MAGE's mobility. In truth, MAGE was immune to Inferno's fire. But he wanted the big oaf to believe he wasn't long enough for him to land a solid hit on him. He may have also been stalling for time so Kenji could finish off the Laughings, who he really wanted to fight...

OOC: Sorry for the delay!
IC:
Kenji was no fool. When outnumbered, it would be idiocy to simply ignore the other person. And as expected, the gold Laughing began firing at him, attempting to take him down. Kenji had anticipated the counterattack and moved away, allowing the purple Laughing to be the target of friendly fire and perish as a result. Now it was down to him and the gold Laughing, and if this match had showed anything thus far, Laughing was no match for him. Sure, he was an extremely formidable enemy, but Kenji had faced much worse. He charged straight toward Laughing, deflecting any shots, but as he seemingly got in range for a strike, he vanished... and three Kenjis were suddenly around him, slashing.
Whether it hit or not, Kenji didn't let up on his attacks. He slashed again, creating multiple slashes with one motion, and finally, he finished off with an orb of darkness right in his chest, which exploded on contact. If he could survive that, then he was invincible. He spared a glance at the others, who were fighting the MAGE... or rather, attempting to hit him while he simply toyed with them. He was waiting for something. Was he waiting for him to finish up? Either way, he needed to end this quickly.

Kenji would have no further problems with Laughing, a fact that pleased MAGE considerably as he nimbly leaped over Inferno. "Now maybe I can finally have some fun!" MAGE commented, but no sooner had he, an alarm started going off alongside flashing lights.
"Unauthorized software detected. Initiating lockdown!" A familiar, synthesized voice barked as ICPs began to appear on the grid. Looks like someone had reported Laughing's... irregular behavior. And regardless of whether or not it had valid grounds, it appeared as if The Kernel was going to use it as an excuse to raid the game grid.
"Well... this is unfortunate," MAGE muttered as a burly figure suddenly shadowed him. A large, zweihander style sword suddenly met Inferno's fist, protecting MAGE as Sentinel stood between the two. "I told you not to interfere," MAGE pointed out as Inferno and Sentinel stared daggers at eachother.
"Things change," Sentinel quipped as Inferno tried more force, and was promptly blasted off his feet by force from Sentinel's hand.
"Get out of the way if you don't want to be a million tiny pieces," Inferno growled, on all fours for a moment before getting back to his feet.
"Your attachment to a program is touching, but your aggression will do nothing to bring her back," Sentinel responded simply.
"No, but it'll make me feel a hell of a lot better!" Inferno roared, suddenly restrained by several ICPs before he could move again. With alittle effort, Inferno managed to throw them off, hell bent on killing MAGE when Kernel's voice boomed through the monitors.
"That is enough user! Without MAGE, you will be unable to locate the user who entered into the network prior to you. Or have you forgotten?" Kernel barked firmly.
((Yeah, this has gone on longer then I'd like. So DEUS EX MACHINA! lol))

OOC: It's cool. I was also thinking it was getting a little off-hand anyway. XD
IC:
Kenji was getting a bit tired. How could he not, going against multiple tough foes at once? But he could still continue. He could still keep fighting. That MAGE was probably not going to come down without a fight. He raised his blade and was about to go after the MAGE when all of a sudden, alarms started going off, as well as flashing lights. Kenji blinked. Well, whatever it was, it was enough to stop the match... though Orion seemed to not get the hint as he tried to take down the Sentinel. Their... ally, the Kernel, seemed to have interfered, which reassured Kenji. At least he kept his word and helped out when he could.
As Kernel ordered Orion to back off, Kenji's sword vanished in his hands. He sighed. How much time had they wasted with this stupid contest? No matter. "We've lost a lot of time participating in this ridiculous bloodbath," he growled. He turned to the MAGE. "We're here to track an intruder," he said without any preamble. "He came only merely moments before us, but we have no idea where he is or what he's doing. I was told you knew where he was."

((RP Blues suck... but I will force my muse to work anyway))
People were talking, but Inferno wasn't listening. At all. So it was no surprise that when he got free of the ICPs, that he barreled toward MAGE with the intent on ripping him apart. Before Sentinel or anyone else could react though, MAGE's form suddenly became a blur as he moved. To Inferno, it seemed like he had just vanished, but someone like Kenji would be able to detect his movements as the program not only attacked Inferno, but also temporarily disabled him with some kind of attack. "W-what..." Inferno blurted out before he fell over frontwards. He was out cold.
"Kernel spreading rumors about me again is he? You all overestimate my abilities. Why makes you think I would care who comes and goes?" MAGE replied casually, as if he didn't just subdue Inferno in an instant. "However, SOMEONE did come and see me before you lot. Looks alot like this guy infact-" MAGE added.
"What did this user want?" The Kernel demanded more then inquired.
"The most valuable thing on the network. Information. Specifically, some encrypted data on The Heartless and other related topics. Not sure who told him I would know, but I pointed him in the direction of the archives. I did NOT however tell him that the archives is a restricted area, and that he would most likely be attacked by yours truly," MAGE replied with a chuckle, referring to The Kernel and his ICPs.
"I will deal with you personally later. I'm also going to go through the entire grid to make sure there are no more... irregularities," The Kernel shot back coldly.
"Blah blah blah, sue me. You know where to find me with any trivial questioning. Sentinel, would you move that oaf and escort our guest. I trust they will want to leave at once," MAGE suggested boredly as he headed off...

Kenji watched impassively as Orion rushed forward and was instantly KO'd by the Sentinel. Well, he was not only fast but strong, not to mention seemed to have some knowledge of martial arts, knowing precisely where to hit Orion to incapacitate him. Impressive... Kenji thought the Sentinel would be just some thug, but evidently not - he was a cunning, powerful opponent if they ever had to face each other. He looked past the Sentinel at the MAGE, not giving any expression at all. He still had not forgiven him for destroying Olorin. It was just a data copy, sure, but he had served as loyally and as best as he could as the real one would have. He would never be forgiven for that.
He had to bide his time, though. There was a time for vengeance, and there was a time of duty. This was the latter.
The MAGE ordered the Sentinel to escort the two of them off. That mattered little to Kenji. They had their next location. "Kernel," he called out before they were led out. "Where are the Archives? We know his next location now. If I can leave now, I may be able to intercept him, despite all the time we wasted here."

"I have already dispatched a Recognizer. It will take you there. In the mean time, I have already notified all security programs within the Archives and dispatched ICPs to set up blockades along every route to the Archives," The Kernel stated simply. He didn't need to, not like he was reporting to Kenji so much as telling him what was going on. He was confident that there would be no way for anyone to get passed his ICPs, but he was not naive enough to say, 'there is no way for anyone to get through us.'
"Hey!" A voice called to them as they were leaving. It was The Decker. "Give this to your friend when he wakes up. There is a way to... preserve that program he seems so hung up about with this," she said simply, handing Kenji what appeared to be alittle flash drive. So the idea was to download the data from the disc into the flash drive, or so it seemed.
"Just drop him any where," The Sentinel stated to an ICP, handing Inferno off as he turned around and left. Kenji would shortly thereafter get a message from MAGE, which more or less requested a private match when he found the time.
"The blockades are in place, and so far there hasn't been any reports of suspicious activity," The Kernel's voice crackled through some speakers, jarring Inferno awake. Naturally, his first instinct was to look around trying to find MAGE. Fortunately the ICPs aboard had taken steps to... ensure there was no destructive tantrum. They would not put it passed him to crash the craft out of spite.
"What's going on?" Inferno demanded, finding himself restrained.
"You are being taken to where your 'father' is said to be heading. If MAGE is telling the truth, which I see no reason for him to as he gains nothing of value in doing so, you're going to The Archives," The Kernel replied first.
Inferno was quiet for a moment as if he was processing something, relaxing his body slightly in acceptance. Apparently he opted to NOT throw a tantrum this time because he couldn't thrash MAGE.
(going to fast forward alittle here)
The rest of the trip was surprisingly uneventful, and the group arrived at the entrance to an impressive building that drew a strong inspiration from a castle in the sense it looked very well defended. Recognizers, tanks, ICPs and sentries were all scouring the area in droves. It would be foolish for anyone to try and attack this place directly... but the fact that there had still been no word one way or the other- something was fishy.
As it turned out, they didn't have to wait long before that was proven true. Inferno actually saw it coming a couple of seconds prior, spotting an ICP that now that he saw him, looked alot like his father. He never noticed before because before in the flying machine, the ICP had his back turned to them and he never really paid much attention to them before. These ICPs were just sorta... in the background working single mindedly toward whatever task they were assigned.
But once the recognition was made, the ICP pushed his hand out and let out a loud, guttural roar as a massive wall of dark energy erupted from his hand. There was no way to avoid it, and everything caught in it's path was sent backward a good distance. And then armored figures suddenly appeared at his back, followed by Heartless. The now Tron Knights and Heartless attacked while Inferno's father slipped inside. "You coward!" Inferno bellowed, scrambling back to his feet as he leaped into the mass of enemies and blew up the ground around him on impact, creating space for other people to use to get inside.
Heartless began appearing in droves, mindlessly launching themselves at anything that moved. Clearly they were just distractions...

Kenji nodded and he was escorted out. He began thinking. That many layers of security... it would be hard to get through completely undetected, but he had no idea about the capability of Orion's father. He could have a way to slip through their defenses without a fight. Disguise, perhaps? He wouldn't know. All he knew was they had to get there. They already wasted a lot of time. They needed to make up for it as fast as they could.
Hey! Give this to your friend when he wakes up. There is a way to... preserve that program he seems so hung up about with this.
He blinked and looked at the tiny USB stick before nodding. It was clear Orion was hung up about the one who had fallen in battle - a girl. He remembered the other ones seemed protective of her also, but Orion seemed to have an especial attachment. He wondered at it, suspected it, then discarded it. Whatever the case had no bearing to the situation at hand. He would give it to Orion, but that was it. Until the threat was dealt with, he would not concern himself too deeply with it.
He blinked as the notification came up from the MAGE. He was requesting a private match whenever Kenji had the availability. Kenji ground his teeth. This sociopathic man killed off not only one of his greatest subjects, but many others with no more hesitation than a little child burning off ants with a magnifying glass. He put the notification away for now. He would settle the score soon enough... but the MAGE would find that if he fought Kenji at full power, he had bitten off far more than he could possibly chew. He would be obliterated.
As Orion stirred (and couldn't move because of his restraints), Kenji put the USB stick in his hand. When the Kernel had finished explaining, he said, "The Decker woman handed that to me and wanted me to give it to you when you woke up. It's apparently to get the woman that MAGE had destroyed back. Try not to break it." With that, he retreated back to his seat, pondering about his plans and tactics on what to do. Other than that, nothing happened during their trip. As they got close, Kenji looked around. The patrols of security were highly visible and were all over the place, leaving no stone unturned, but they found nothing. Kenji frowned. There was something off here...
Then he whirled about in surprise as one of the ICPs began using magic. He cursed. Orion's father had disguised himself - the oldest trick in the book! Kenji was not hit by the wave, but he had to retreat a good distance to avoid getting hit - more or less the same as the others. To make matters worse, an entire army had been summoned to block their way as he went inside the Archives. Kenji scowled, but before he could move, Orion had leaped up and practically blasted the army away, clearing a path.
Kenji didn't lose the opportunity.
Summoning his Blade of Balance once more, he dashed past everyone and everything, keeping his senses aware for any attacks, and also slipped inside. Once inside, he took off in hot pursuit of Orion's father with the single-mindedness of a hunter. He would not escape.
