Abraxas moved quickly out of the way, not wanting to get touched by whatever Xero attacked it with and the creature's screams fell silent as the water filled the spaces in between, drowning and freezing it. Abraxas twirled his halberd as the creature was frozen in its spot and he waited for Xero's go-ahead in order to shatter the ice and destroy the creature. He didn't want that ability to be still active when he struck it.

The blast of water, with the ice-coated monster contained within, smashed through trees and slammed into the ground, dancing through the air with a mind of its own. Branches and chunks of rock were torn off and carried with the monster. While there was a certain amount of time that the ability needed to run, Xero could just barely manage to end it early, making the water rise up and then slam into the ground with the creature, rocks and branches bouncing off of the ice but leaving it, while cracked, fundamentally intact as the water drained away.
Xero nodded at Abraxas as his weapons, both the shield and the glaive, vanished into thin fair from where they were, obviously leaving Abraxas open to strike.

Receiving the nod, Abraxas twirled his weapon easily before he leapt high into the air and brought the blade down upon the frozen creature, shattering it with such ease that the point of impact was reduced to cold dust while the rest was left in small catches of ice chunks. The creature would not be able to reform and Abraxas stood still as he landed among the ice dust, his tail posed over the ground and he sensed for electricity. But there no longer were any interruptions to his electrical hold and he relaxed. "It is done."

Xero gave a small smile. "The world is... calmer." Behind him, the rock-and-ice figure flashed brightly, then vanished. "It would've taken me a while to find that without your aid. My thanks." And, he added silently, It gave me a chance to see your power in action, or at least a portion of it, so I know how I should fight you, should it ever come to that. Xero, at least, was one who could never put aside that part of himself; he would always evaluate anyone to see how to deal with them should they ever become enemies. It was part of his past as Champion; now it was part of his present and future as Warden.

Abraxas gave a nod of confirmation, his eyes opening to gaze upon Xero. "My thanks to you. I don't think I would have figured it out as quickly without your help." he replied and his non-dominant leg slid back and Abraxas gave a brief bow that looked like it was a mix of a kneel as well before he stood again.

Xero returned the bow in his own manner, the fluid, sweeping one he'd given Abraxas earlier. And with that, his wings snapped back open as he looked up. There was a path he could take through the trees to reach the skies in this area after all. "I do believe it is now time for me to leave. Other worlds call." He looked at Abraxas, and his lips quirked up into a smile. Since he hadn't had wings until recently, and hadn't seen another person with wings until now, this was the first time in his life that he could use one of the formal farewells that his father had taught him.
"May the wind fill your wings, and may our flights cross again."

"And may the skies bless your wings with the warmest currents to ride." he replied as he bowed once more, his wings stretching out from their hiding place and extending out fully in this fond farewell bow.
Abraxas was rather relieved to finally have some peace. It was nice to see another with wings, even one stuck in that form to bare. It was like walking around Hell wearing a human form, very noticeable. But it pleased Abraxas none the less that he was not the only strange one on the world, seeing him off as well.
