An unusual old man leaned against the side of the building, idly twirling his walking stick in his hand. His appearance would normally have drawn a lot of attention; his long hair was held in a ponytail going down his back, and it was actually silver; it shone in the light like metal. From his forehead spiraled a diamond-like horn. And on top of all that, he was missing his left arm.
However, for once, there was something more pressing going on than a particularly-strange traveler. It would be obvious what that was when, with a loud crash, a large burly man was thrown through a nearby window.
"I hope you realize that I'm not paying for this." The strange figure said calmly, without raising his voice. "I'd rather not get banned from yet another town."
"NO ONE ASKED YOU!" A brash female voice came roaring out the window. With a loud thumping sound, yet another person was flung out the window to land on the previous man.
"No, I suppose you didn't. Well, I guess it was their fault. They were awfully rude." Eagan noted, rolling his head back to look up at the clouded sky. "Not like you were provoking them or anything, hmm?"
"You shush! I haven't-" Smack. "Had-" Crack. "A good-" Crash. "Brawl in weeks, and you're not taking this from me!"
Eagan sighed. And then, with a small chuckle, shrugged.

Denzel was enjoying a good long walk from the docks, when heard a curiously loud crash. She turned to face the direction of where it came from. There was a broken window, and lying on the ground was the one who'd gone through it. The ruckus was coming from the bar, which meant there was a fight to be had. Immediately Denzel went straight for the bar and opened the door to the lively music, and as expected a barfight. Mainly men were in the brawl, except for a single female at the center of it. Denzel no-so-subtly tripped a fighter just to get a piece of the action.
"Hope you don't mind me joining in, do you?" Denzel shouted over the uproar to the other female.

The girl in the middle of the brawl looked, grinning. Her clothes were a purple dress, with slits in the bottom half for mobility, golden thread ornamenting the edges. Her pure-white hair was done into a single long braid running down her back, easily three feet long. Her golden eyes gleamed in the light. "Hell, you not only can join, you seem a heck of a lot more competent than these guys!" She shouted back as a large guy rose up behind her, arms reaching out to grab her.
Without missing a beat, Tryna flung one elbow back, slamming it into his gut. As he doubled over, she spun backwards, reaching back, and picked him up entirely without seeming to strain at all. "Here, catch!" And with a single heave, she sent the man flying towards Denzel.

Denzel grinned as the girl accepted the self-invitation and was surprised as she was thrown someone to catch. This stranger really was a fighter. Denzel reacted, redirecting the flying man and slammed him onto a table, breaking it.
"Whoops! Guess i'll pay for that later." Said Denzel. She traded blows with a couple of guys before knocking them into the next guy. One yelled, the first Denzel had tripped as he came at her. Denzel grinned, ice blue eyes gleaming with mischief. He dove, and she re-directed him to the other female who clearly was a capable fighter.
"Incoming!" Denzel called as she backfisted another brawler in the face.

Tryna grinned, seeing the next guy coming... and then jumped over him. She easily cleared his head, twisting around midair to kick him in the back of the head, sending him sprawling down to the floor, easily unconscious. It was obvious that whatever type of fighter she was, she was skilled at holding back her strength enough to be non-lethal without being ineffective.
Using the momentum from her kick, she went flying towards Denzel, landing nearby. Jumping up onto a nearby chair and balancing on it effortlessly, she spun around, kicking the brawler Denzel'd just struck in the face, sending him flying back. "So..." Tryna started in a conversational tone. "Do this sort of thing often?"

Denzel watched the brawler get kicked in the face. She was slightly surprised by the conversational tone in the Tryna's voice.
"Not too often," Denzel began, turning another brawler completely into the other direction after running at her and kicking him in the back for good measure to crash into the others. "Usually, it was with a brother of mine, over a disagreement." She added grabbing a different chair to smack someone who got too close.
"What about you? I'm guessing you've had more than your fair share." Denzel spoke as another brawler came at her. She dropped and tripped the charging brawler with an extended leg.

"Hah! This is what I do for fun. That, and spar with old Eagan out there." Tryna laughed, diving across the room with a powerful leap. With a couple more jabs and punches, a few more guys were sent staggering back, some of them slumping down on the ground. Unfortunately, Tryna had cleared out quite a few guys already by the time Denzel had arrived, and there weren't many drunk sailors left to pummel. Given just a few more people taken out, all that would be left would be Denzel and Tryna.

Denzel watched Tryna take down some of the last of the participants of the drunken frenzy, and it appeared that the brawl had wound down considerably. Denzel was only slightly disappointed, but then again good fights couldn't last forever.
"Eagan? I must've missed him on the way in. Can't miss a good fight though. So what's your name? Mine's Denzel." Said Denzel. She figured the other might want the last of the fight, since it was possible she'd started it. Denzel tossed a bag of money to the bartender to pay for her part of the damage.

Tryna sized up the people who were left... her, Denzel, a couple of drunk guys who still hadn't had enough. Sizing up a few of the people on the floor, there were definitely those who had decided it was better to stay down and pretend to be out. She simply smirked, charging forward... and jumped from man to man, forcing them to land on the ground with powerful kicks. When she reached the last guy, she landed on his shoulders, sending him crashing into the wall as she flipped into the air.
She landed as he hit the wall with a satisfying thud, and then casually pulled out a large gemstone of some kind and flipped it into the air. With one backflip and kick, she sent it flying with a thud into the bartender's counter, embedding it there. "Name's Tryna. Also, if you missed him, you really weren't looking! Come on, I'll introduce you." With that, Tryna spun into the air, flying out of the already-broken window to land on the streets outside.
Eagan simply yawned, pulling himself away from the wall and leaning on his walking stick. "Done, I see."

Denzel watched the final moments of the action unfold, smiling. The other definitely was much stronger than most. She followed Tryna out the door to spot her and then the other. She blinked in surprise when she realized he had one arm, a cane and a unicorn horn. Denzel had seen plenty of things, but that was actually new to her.
"Hi there! You must be Eagan, right?" Asked Denzel. She wondered how Tryna sparred with him. Eagan had to be pretty capable to fight Tryna from what Denzel had seen.

Eagan inclined his head. "Yes, that would be me. And you'd be the that jumped in and fought on Tryna's side in that brawl. I still have no idea why she does it." He sighed. "No one in there could have faced her in any aspect of her fighting style, I'm sure you noticed." He turned his blue eyes directly at her, and she just rolled her own back at him.
"In any case, we should probably get out of here about now. Usually this is where either the authorities show up or someone else looking for... 'recruits'... does. Judging from the look of this place, I'd say the second." His lips twitched. "I'm not fond of pirates."
"We can always wait for them and take them out too." Tryna suggested, her tone innocent.
Eagan rolled his eyes again. "You can go fight pirates or we can have a sparring match on the beach." Instantly, Tryna jumped into the air, managing to reach the rooftops and vanished as she headed off towards the beach. "Sorry about that, Tryna's a bit... impetuous." Eagan said to Denzel. Though his words sounded apologetic, his face and tone were filled with warmth. "We might as well head to the beach before she gets upset with me."

Denzel smiled. "Yeah..." She sighed quietly in response of his mentioning her jumping in the brawl. She noticed the exchange through the two by eye contact and allowed a 'hmm'.
Wow, I guess Tryna does this much more often than I thought. Denzel thought. At the same time as agreeing on the side of leaving the area, Denzel was delighted to have a go with another brawl. She laughed the moment Tryna leaped-- literally --at the opportunity to spar with Eagan.
"Oh it's no bother. I have to admit I enjoyed the brawl almost as much as she did." Said Denzel. She nodded and started to walk in the direction of the beach.
"So how does someone who seems more docile end up around a fighter? Just curious." Siad Denzel.

Eagan chuckled. "With a fight. What else? I accidentally spilled her drink, she challenged me to a fight, I accepted." He gave a shrug. "Simple as that." His walking stick clicked rhythmically on the cobble streets. "We didn't actually get to finish, though. Interrupted by the darklings, you see. I'm sure you've met them; they seem to be just about everywhere nowadays. Weren't nearly as common fifty years ago, let me tell you."
Suddenly, his walking stick swept in front of her. "Not that way. This way." He turned and went into a dark alleyway, heading through it. His reasons were clear when he called out to her. "Hurry, I hear metal coming from that way. Sounds like pirates."

Denzel smiled as she listened to Eagan's story and nodded about having met darklings. She assumed he meant the heartless. She stopped when Eagan's walking stick crossed in front of her. Denzel followed Eagan down the alley, despite the idea of another fight sounding more than amusing. She hid and waited watching the corner for when the pirates, if they were priates would pass.
"Somehow that sounds about right from first impressions." Denzel whispered.
"What's the beef with pirates anyhow?" Denzel asked.

"Bad experiences in... hmm... huh. I didn't think it'd been that long, yet. Anyways, about a century ago. They thought I'd be easy pickings with my arm gone. It was still a fairly new loss, so I hadn't quite gotten down how to defend myself without it. Long story short, took about four months to get off that boat. Learned a few things, but..." Eagan shrugged again.
"Anyways, back to the story about Tryna. After we fought off the darklings, I headed out on my own again. But she decided to follow me. We teamed up against particularly tough ones now and then, and eventually decided we might as well officially travel together rather than letting me have my own personal stalker." As he was talking quietly, eventually a group of people walked past. There was a quiet rustle of cloth and metal as they headed down towards the bar. Eagan waited for a few moments after they passed, nodded, and walked back out. "As long as you're quiet, they won't turn around."

Denzel was surprised, a century? That must've been a long time. So he had some bad experience being stuck on a boat with pirates. It could easily be understood. She continued to listen to Eagan's tale of how he and Tryna ended up travelling together. She found it amusing that Tryna had followed Eagan after their first encounter Denzel followed Eagan back out of the alley and nodded.
"I wonder how they'll react when they find a brawl happened before they got there." Denzel mused quietly. She could easily imagine their disappointment in finding that there was no one to fight but each other if they chose to fight in the bar.

"Probably rifle through the pockets of everyone there. I don't know what the state of the furniture was when you guys left, but as long as a couple tables and chairs survived I'm sure they'll be fine. Or they'll find another bar." Eagan shrugged again. "Not really my concern." The street was rapidly turning more into dirt as they turned away from the docks towards the beach. "I hope you realize that Tryna's likely to drag you into this fight, or demand you fight whoever wins or loses. Plus she might ask you judge the fight, since we usually end up in a tie without someone to declare a winner."

Denzel shrugged. There wouldn't be a problem then. Then Eagan mentioned that Denzel would in some way be dragged into the fight. That didn't sound bad at all, in Denzel's opinion. A fight to get into would be fun.
"That's alright. I love a good fight myself." Said Denzel cheerfully. Even if Tryna demanded a second fight with Denzel in it, Denzel would have a chance to see things coming. But if they ended up in a tie, Denzel would just try to judge it hit for hit. It seemed fair. She wondered just how Eagan fared with only one arm, but guessed with a century at least, he could easily handle himself.

As they reached the beach, Tryna was already waiting on them, holding a weapon in her hands. She did a few motions with it, and connected the pieces of it together into a bo staff. She spun it in her hands. "Ready, ya old goat?" She said, crouching down. Eagan nodded.
"Stay here and watch. This one's just between me and her, I think." Eagan told Denzel, before walking out to take a position himself. Then, finally, he lifted up his own walking stick and held it before him, flipping it in the air to hold it like one would a sword or similar other weapon. "Your move, Tryna."
Tryna instantly dashed forwards, sand thrown up behind her by her speed... but before she reached Eagan, she jumped into the air and attempted a downward strike with her staff. Eagan immediately flung his own staff upwards above him, and there was a loud clack as wood struck wood. Impressively enough, Eagan's strength seemed if not equal to Tryna's, but damn close, even with one arm.

"Okay." Said Denzel and she sat down and watched. She was amazed at the speed of Tryna's. Then at the loud crack Denzel jumped in surprise. For a one armed guy, Eagan was pretty good so far. If these two ended up in a tie, that meant that Eagan matched Tryna in overall power. She restedher elbows on her knees in anticipation of what would happen in the fight.
