"It's not a bad dream to have..." Amaya stated, trailing off with a nod. Still, life wasn't like that. Regardless what a person wished when it came to that sort of thing, not everyone was able to be saved from such fates. Arin cleared his throat and continued eating some of the pizza, reminding Amaya that it was still there. As he suggested that they eat it before it got cold, Amaya nodded and grabbed a slice from her half. Quietly, she bit into it, deep in thought.
Arin had been right in assuming that it would take a lot of preparation on Amaya's part to return home and give the bad news. In a matter of just minutes, Amaya was thinking of all sorts of scenarios. No matter how many times she thought of reporting the situation to her grandparents, it all ended in conflict of some sort and other bad scenarios. Honestly, she was dreading it more the more she thought about it.
The only time she had some reprieve from her thoughts was when Arin had spoken to her. Bringing her gaze over onto Arin, she listened to what he was saying. He was suggesting that they go and explore the area a bit before they go to her homeworld. Now that he mentioned it, Amaya hadn't ever been to the abandoned mansion before. Asami always insisted that it wasn't worth getting into trouble over. That all they were doing was trespassing and that their grandmother wouldn't approve. Now that Amaya was older and Asami wasn't around, Amaya could do what she wanted to. The old mansion sounded like a good way for her to temporarily get her mind off of things.
"Alright and...no, I've never been. Asami wouldn't let me." Amaya had finally finished her half of the pizza and waited for Arin to finish before getting to her feet. Taking what garbage they had, she disposed of it in the nearest trash can. "Since this was your idea, mind taking the lead?" she questioned him.

Arin nodded and led Amaya down the tracks that the trolley ran on, before veering right a bit as the tracks made a left after passing under an archway. After passing through the crack in the town's wall, they were inside of the forest. And despite being unintentional, the dimly lit woodlands had a bit of a romantic mood to it. Arin, of course, was more focused on distracting Amaya from her worrying thoughts to notice the atmosphere, and led Amaya through the woods, and into the open area of the mansion's front garden.
After pushing the door open, a soft breeze flowed into the mansion through the doorway, as if fresh air hadn't been introduced in a long time "…Might be a good idea to leave the door open for a bit, keep it from getting too hot in here or in case we need a quick escape." He stepped aside and let Amaya walk in before he did, right now, this was all about her, and clearing her mind so she would be ready for what was to come "Ladies first."

Amaya had let Arin show her the way. She knew of the crack in the wall but she was lost in thought as they went. Her attention was centered on Arin's turned back as he took her past the trolley and right toward the wall. When they got there, Amaya peered in with a bit of a quizzical look. She heard of the place but never set foot in the woods or anywhere near the mansion itself. Her curiosity was what had caused her to pester Asami to bring them there but her sister never relented.
As Arin entered through the crack first, Amaya followed him in. When she set foot in the woodlands, Amaya soon pulled out of her thoughts as the scenery demanded attention from her. It wasn't all that gloomy in here as it had seemed from the outside. In fact, the way the light broke through the trees in certain areas gave it a sort of calming and even romantic feel. Needless to say, it was a beautiful sight to behold. It was hard for Amaya to not take notice of it since she barely stopped these days to take a look at the things around her and stop worrying. Most of her life, she had spent it training and fighting. Her life wasn't anything normal. Arin, on the other hand, didn't seem to take notice of the scenery as he simply lead them through the forest. The path was mostly linear until they had to take a slight curve leading up toward a solitary building. There was a large gate in front of it but was open enough to permit them entry into the mansion's garden. Well, more like what was left of the garden. It was now over run with weeds and the like.
Arin had walked up right toward the door of the mansion and opened it. As they stood there, Amaya could feel the air rush through and into the building. Needless to say, nothing had come through here in a very long time. She looked over at Arin again as he mentioned it might be a good idea to leave it open so that they could keep it from getting too hot and to give them a means for a quick escape. "Right, good idea." She did not expect Arin to step aside and state what he did. Honestly, it was sort of odd to her being treated this way.
"Um...thank you."
Upon Arin's insistence that she head in first, Amaya did. When she walked inside, it became clear to her that the place had certainly seen some kind of action. There were areas that were trashed, as if some sort of past scuffle had happened or some sort of previous visitor like them had gone and made a mess of things just for the sake of doing so. Still, there was no denying the fact that it was huge and still held some allure to it.
"Wow, this place is...huge."

Arin chuckled when Amaya took in the sights of the mansion with such wonder, it was honestly a little amusing, and a smile grw on his face when he realized his plan to distract Amaya from her own mind was working "Yeah, I thought that when I first stepped in here before…H-uh…Looks like I was the last person to leave this building after all."
He walked over to the window revealing a garden in the center of the mansion, gesturing at the ground where there was much less dust than other areas of the floor. In fact, one thin trail of thinner layered dust was right between the steps, as if someone had been thrown across the floor by force "This spot here was the place where my keyblade first manifested itself."

It was difficult for Amaya to succumb to her thoughts now that they were in here. They were only in the main area of the mansion, she knew. Even still, where they were, it was interesting. She had never seen the place before, of course. She heard a chuckle from behind and turned to look over at Arin whom had a smile on his face. He apparently thought the same thing when he first stepped into here. Then, he took notice of something as he stated that he was the last person to leave the building.
"How do you know that?"
Amaya watched as Arin made his way over to what looked to be a garden at the center of the mansion. She hadn't noticed it at first but there was one behind glass. Arin gestured at a layer of dust as Amaya walked over in her curiosity to see what Arin was seeing. There did appear to be a thinner layer of dust, as if someone had come walking through here. It lead right in between the steps, more of a disturbance in the dust could be seen there as if someone had fallen or been thrown there. It was that spot that Arin told her was where his keyblade manifested for the first time.
Quietly, she inspected the dust before looking back up at Arin. "Funny, I don't see a keyblade imprint!" she joked.

Arin rolled his eyes with a smile, shrugging off Amaya's joke "I wasn't laying down when it happened, smartass. I wasn't wielding my keyblade until after I was back on my feet." He walked aimlessly for a few steps, looking around the foyer of the mansion, as if recollecting his last encounter here
"This place was quite the experience…Not only was there a truckload of Heartless because of the darkness in my heart that drew them here, but the library here has more than just books in it." He leapt up, using his doubleflight ability to leap over the railing and plant his feet on the halfway point of the right staircase.
"You coming?"

Amaya wasn't done there when Arin replied. A sly smirk appeared on her face then. "I see...so that means you left the butt mark on the floor before getting to your feet." There wasn't one really. Just that Arin had set himself up for that one. Arin wandered around the foyer as if remembering his experience here. Amaya looked around the place herself.
According to Arin, his time here had been quite the experience. There had been a ton of Heartless because of the darkness within him. They had been attracted to it, naturally. When he said there was more to the mansion's library here than books. Furrowing a brow, Amaya turned to him in wonder. "Oh?" she inquired. Arin didn't respond. Instead, he leapt up to the halfway point of the left staircase. When he asked her if she was coming, Amaya rose a brow up at him.
"Show off," Amaya stated before summoning her armor and leaping up. She didn't even have to use the armor's wings as she landed on top of the steps and dismissed it. "Right or left?"

Arin leapt the rest of the way to the upper floor "Go right, the left hallway just has an empty white room with a bunch of drawings on the walls." Arin walked down the right hallway, making his way to the entrance to the library, and leaving it open for Amaya to just walk in.
When she did, she would notice that the library definitely wasn't like what one would expect. At a first glance, it looked normal…if you didn't pay attention to the fact that the floor was practically missing, only a small strip of it attached to a staircase that led down to a much more hi-tech looking basement, which was out of place for how old the mansion was from its exterior.
"I told you this place had more than you would think." Arin's voice came from down in the lower level, holding a book that he had once left lying on the floor from his last time in this building. He was flipping through the pages idly, waiting for Amaya to come further in and see for herself.

Amaya heard Arin tell her to go down the right hallway. The left was just an empty, white room that contained drawings. Since Arin had a good head start, Amaya trailed behind him. From up here, once she reached the top of the steps, she looked downward. Taking her eyes off of the floor below, Amaya headed down the right hallway. There, the door had been left open for her to enter. When she stepped inside of it, Amaya took notice of the library.
At first, it looked normal. However, there was the fact that Arin was missing from her sight. Where had he gone? She then, looked downward and then all became clear. The floor was missing. In the place of the floor, there was a stairway going downward toward a strip where Arin was. Arin spoke, telling her that this place had more to it than she had thought.
"I can see that!" Amaya replied, eyebrows raised. She walked down the stairs and found Arin sifting through a book in his hands. He didn't seem to be really paying it all that mind as she reached where he was. "Just what could they have been hiding in a place like this?" Amaya spoke aloud, venturing further down the strip. Well, Arin had certainly succeeded in keeping her mind preoccupied.

"Not a clue, I had to leave before I could explore any further." Arin shut the book and let it drop to his feet, walking towards the doorway next to the stairs that was poorly lit "So right now I know just about as much as you do, so lets find out some more about this mysterious mansion, shall we?"
Without waiting for Amaya's confirmation, he started walking down the stairs, and his voice immediately began echoing up from the stairway "Oh man! Amaya, you gotta come down and see this!"
Further down the stairs was a dimly lit computer room, and the computer was very badly beat up. The pattern of the markings on the monitors and keyboard, if one was good enough at reading a scene, would suggest it was all done by one person. The damage itself looked to be made from a blunt object, but why it was done was one thing that would possibly remain a mystery. And against the wall adjacent from the broken computer was a beam of light.
Arin was standing in front of the computer, looking at the damaged technology in wonder "What on earth happened here?"

Arin didn't have a clue about what could be hiding here either. He had to leave just as soon as he had come here the first time. He dropped the book he had been holding and started to head down the dimly lit stairs. He pretty much knew about this place just as much as she did. So, in a nutshell, nothing. Arin didn't even wait for Amaya to answer him as he went on ahead and down the steps. When he got to wherever the steps went, he called out to her to come over and see something.
"What is it?" Amaya called, hurrying after him. When she got to where he was, Amaya took pause. There was a trashed computer console of sorts. Someone had to have bashed it around with something. It looked like something with blunt force had to have been the culprit for this mess. As Arin spoke, Amaya gave a shrug.
"Whoever did this...maybe they were trying to hide information from others so no one would find out what they were up to?" It seemed like the only logical cause. She, of course, had no idea what really had happened here and that she was wrong. Slowly, Amaya turned around to take in more of the room itself. She let out a gasp.
"Hey, Arin! There's a light here!"

Arin shrugged his shoulders when Amaya suggested that someone might have been trying to hide information from prying eyes "…Maybe…" He kept looking at the computer, not sure what to make of some of the dents. It looked like a bat did it, but most bats had a wider end, and the dents were parallel. The dents were also curved a bit, and not flat, so it couldn't have been a wooden board. Whatever it was, it had to have been man made, a pipe maybe?
His thoughts were pulled away when Amaya started talking about a light. Turning to look at what Amaya was looking at, he wasn't quite sure what to make of the light "H-uh…Weird…" He reached out to touch it, unaware of the consequences that might come from doing so "...I wonder what it is…" His hand touched the beam of light…
…Then everything went white for a couple seconds, and Arin found himself facing the opposite way. Arin immediately noticed he was alone in the room, did Amaya keep going or make her way upstairs? "Amaya?" No answer. "Come on Amaya, the joke's over, tell me where you are." He started walking towards the doorway that was in the room, wondering just what was going on.

Amaya shrugged too. Whoever attacked the computer, they had done a good job of destroying it. That much was certain. Turning away from it, Amaya looked around the rest of the room. That's when she had spotted it. A beam of light was there directly behind them, across from the computer. It was a peculiar light. Just what did the light do? Naturally, Amaya alerted Arin to this strange light.
As Arin turned to look at it, he stated that it was weird. Arin reached out for the light. "Arin, don't-!" Amaya made to say but it was already too late. After Arin said he wondered what it was, he disappeared right in front of her eyes!
Amaya's eyes widened with shock. What happened?! "Arin? ARIN!" Amaya called out as she looked wildly around. He wasn't anywhere to be seen! Had the light spirited him away or obliterated him? Amaya wasn't sure what to make of it as she looked uncertainly back toward the light. She didn't realize that Arin had found himself in a parallel dimension of the world they had been in.
"Now what do I do?" Amaya said aloud. Maybe this was some kind of joke? Thinking much like Arin, Amaya turned to head back toward the library as she called out his name. "Arin, this isn't funny! Come out!" she called but there was no answer. Stepping out into the library, she saw no sign of him. Just what was going on?

Arin entered an open room with very little in it, save for what appeared to be a portal in the back left corner, and a door to the right, which was identical to the one he just entered from. "This place…" He lifted his hands up and summoned his keyblade, but he was met with a bit of a shock. The keyblade he had summoned was Rapture, his dark keyblade. "…This world is too close to the darkness…Am I really in the same Twilight Town?"
He slowly approached the portal on the left, to inspect what it was, but his chest started feeling heavy, and his black coat suddenly enveloped his body "…No…I can't go further…This isn't the same place I was in…Whatever happened to me, I have to go back to the computer and undo it!"
Just as he turned around to head back the way he came, he was intercepted by a swarm of Nobodies. A pair of Dragoons, a quartet of Assassins, and a Dancer. Gritting his teeth, he tapped the pauldron on his left arm and replaced his black coat with his keyblade armor. Charging at the swarm as they dispersed, and targeting the Dancer, who was easier to target, first "Get out of my way!"
==========
As Amaya made her way back into the library, masses of darkness began to form around her, and the room was soon filled with a small crowd of Heartless. Two Invisibles, a trio of Darkballs, Four Neoshadows, an AngelStar, and hidden in the shadows, a Stealth Soldier, all of which surrounding Amaya from different angles, save for the Stealth Soldier, who was running around and practically invisible. The first to strike were the Darkballs, two of which charging forth with jaws chomping and the other vanishing in an attempt to make an 'explosive' entrance right next to Amaya. Meanwhile, both Invisibles stabbed the ground and vanished, before rings of darkness surrounded her. The Neoshadows were creeping closer, and the AngelStar and Stealth Soldier just floated about the battlefield, waiting for an opening to attack.

Amaya wished she hadn't said anything as she stepped into the library. No sooner had she gotten there and the tell tale signs of Heartless appeared. From the looks of it, many were coming! Amaya immediately summoned her Dragoon armor to her body. When she saw the horde that appeared before her, she couldn't help but let out a soft curse. They certainly weren't small fry. At least none of them were Darksides or she would be in for some real trouble.
"Greeeat, just my luck!" Amaya commented before forming two other copies of herself. In retaliation to the Dark Balls that came her way, the two copies reacted by slashing at them with their scythe copies. When they had done so, Amaya leaped into the air, her copies doing the same before Amaya and her copies swirled in a circle as if shuffling before coming to a stop. Which one was the real Amaya? The left, right or middle?

Arin was having some difficulty timing his attacks properly, constantly having to dodge the Dancer and the two Dragoons, while trying to catch the assassins when they were above ground. Just as he was about to land a good hit on an Assassin, a Dragoon came crashing down near him, knocking him back. "Gah! …Dammit!"
Arin was starting to get fed up with the Nobodies' coordinated moves, and finally decided to throw caution to the wind "Alright, if you want to play hard ball…" His body was glowing dimly, and a much wider pool of dark matter was swirling beneath him.
One assassin was above ground, and preparing to charge forward for a kamikaze attack, when the swirling darkness rose up like a giant pillar. Just before the Assassin was about to explode in a burst of light, the pillar exploded outward in a distorted wave, knocking the Assassin out of range as it exploded.
Arin was standing in a mist of dark dust, eyes closed as his hair slowly began to darken. His eyes opened and revealed yellow irises, which were slowly becoming engulfed in black, leaving only a pair of yellow rings swimming in darkness. A dark smile formed on Arin's face as his armor dissolved off of him, leaving his black coat to shield him from anymore external influences "…Then let's play…"
He hurled his keyblade at one Dragoon while charging at the other, leaping up and launching a dark flare at his oncoming target, before punching the giant floating Nobody in the face, and drawing his dark sword to begin slashing away ar it while on its shoulders. He resummoned his keyblade for the final strike, swinging both his keyblade and his sword down in a double vertical slash. With one Dragoon finished off, he rushed the other one before it could use its teleporting attack on him, using his cross slash attack to finish it off.
As soon as he landed, he noticed that the Assassins were all above ground and positioned at three different 60º angles from Arin. Grinning, Arin flipped both weapons in a reverse hold, launching his keyblade at one Assassin and roundhouse kicking another as he stabbed the third Assassin in the head.
All that was left was the Dancer, and he wasn't going to be nice about destroying it as it skated around him. "Of all the Nobody types, you have to be the most annoying…" ========== The four Neoshadows split up, two targeting two different Amaya's, while the third and final Darkball and the Stealth Soldier attacked the final one. Meanwhile, the two invisibles had rings of darkness around two of the Amaya's, and the Angel Star was glowing blue, preparing to launch a ball of water at the ground near the Amaya's that would erupt into a pillar of water.

The real Amaya had been on the left as two Neoshadows had charged her. While her copies, on the other hand, one mirrored her own situation. It was very strange to actually see the Heartless coordinated in their attacks. Clearly, someone or something had to be controlling them. There was no other explanation for it since most attacked at random. This, Amaya could garner wasn't random. No, someone was behind this. Were they trying to tire her out? Well, Amaya couldn't b sure but it seemed like it. Unless this was some kind of test? Who knows? All Amaya knew right now is that she had to survive this encounter and find out what happened to Arin. Right now, she didn't know he, too, mirrored her situation in the sense that he was being attacked by Nobodies.
Since her copies acted on their own accord, Amaya focused on slashing at the two Neoshadows before flying upward. She knew of the darkness rings around her and her best option was to weave around until the rings decided to unleash whatever spell that they intended to. Well, unfortunately, that was until that damned Angel Star launched the ball of water that erupted into a pillar. Not having anticipated that, Amaya got bounced away, as did her copies. Her copies suffered heavy blows and therefore, had one hit left to each of them as a result.
Recovering, Amaya cursed as she got to her feet again. Darting for the nearest Heartless, Amaya swung her scythe. Even if the thing avoided her initial strike, it would also have to try and avoid an arching, aerial energy attack that had been conjured from her blade as a result.
"Damn you fiends! Get out of my way!" Amaya snarled. She wasn't going to let them stop her from finding Arin.

Arin scowled as the Dancer started skating towards him, aiming to grab him in its skating attack. Arin swerved to the right and used the teeth of his keyblade to grab the Dancer's head by the neck, and hurl it back into the computer room. Arin rushed after it while it was off balance, roaring out as he didn't give the Dancer any time to recover
"GET LOST!"
Arin body checked the Nobody, and it flew right into the beam of light. But it didn't turn into mist like the other Nobodies did, instead, a bright flash of light was what resulted. Curious, Arin rushed into the beam of light…
And found himself facing the Dancer, who was disoriented long enough for Arin to impale the Nobody through its torso with his keyblade. The Dancer dissolved and Arin was ready to drop his power boost…That is…until he heard Amaya's voice upstairs, and the sounds of battle.
"Damn you fiends! Get out of my way!"
Hearing that Amaya was in trouble, Arin rushed up the stairs as quickly as he could. ========== The Neoshadows were quickly disposed of, along with the last Darkball and one Invisible. But the pillar of water had conjured up another Angel Star, leaving two of them, one Invisible, and the Stealth Soldier. Both Angel Stars were glowing different colors than the blue from before. The one that attacked previously was glowing pink, and the new Angel Star was glowing white. The Invisible was targeting one of the Amaya copies while the Stealth Soldier aimed for the other copy.
The Angel Stars were just out of attack range of Amaya's scythe, too high up without taking a risk of airborne combat. But just as the pink glowing Angel Star was going to launch a homing tornado, a black coated individual had leapt up and impaled the Angel Star with a familiar black keyblade, engulfing the Heartless with black flamed before leaping off and getting between the white glowing Angel Star and the real Amaya. three balls of lightning came flying towards them, and they were easily deflected by the newcomer with three rapid slashes with his keyblade, sending them back at the Heartless for massive damage, and to disorient the flying Heartless for a while.
At a quick glance, Amaya wouldn't have even recognized who it was, considering the hair was black, he was wearing his black coat that he only wore once since meeting her, and he was facing away from her. But the hairstyle was the same, and the fact that he was wielding that dark keyblade that she once fought against back in Hollow Bastion was unmistakeable proof of who had just come to her aid. Though the dark, aggressive growl in his voice would possibly make her wonder what had happened down in the basement.
"You alright, Amaya?"

Amaya cursed her luck. She had put her guard down when she had entered the library and forgotten about what Arin had said about the Heartless. She should have expected a Heartless attack in some form. These ones were coordinated, however. They weren't the typical small fry that she was accustomed to. The Angel Star proved that. Of course, even the others here weren't exactly your normal Heartless that popped up.
"Fuck my life!" Amaya commented when another Angel Star had appeared. That pillar of water had been a bad idea to let happen. It had summoned or formed another of its brethren. Amaya hadn't encountered many Angel Stars before. Was that even normal for them? She couldn't be sure.
Just as the second one appeared ready to attack, and her copies had been each destroyed, something happened. A figure appeared, impaling the new Angel Star. All Amaya could make out was a dark keyblade. Then, the figure got between herself and the remaining Angel Star. As lightning came their way, Amaya didn't have time to react before the bolts were...deflected?! She couldn't believe her eyes. The Heartless was hurt bad and disoriented from the attack.
Amaya looked around at the remaining Heartless before glancing at the new arrival. Just who was that? It couldn't be...could it? She too a better look at him. The hairstyle was the same although the hair was black in color. She vaguely recalled a dark coat of some kind when first meeting Arin, even. The keyblade, there was no mistaking it. Arin had used it numbers of times and it wasn't easy to forget the weapon that had given her quite the beating. The voice was more aggressive tone to his voice though was something to take note of. However, Amaya had been so preoccupied with glee knowing that Arin was alright, she had gone ahead and chose that bad timing to hug him from behind.
"You're alright!" Amaya exclaimed. Only then did she realize where they were and the changes that had come over Arin. Just what had happened in that basement? Amaya quickly released him, embarrassed by the fact that she had hugged him, and only then wondered what had become of him. This wasn't the same Arin. Well, not in what seemed to be tone and looks. She had yet to see the changes his eyes had taken.
"Er, s-sorry...I'm fine. Thank you!" she stated before looking out at the rest of the Heartless. "I'd ask what happened but it looks like we need to remove the Heartless first, right?" With that, Amaya ran for the nearest Heartless with the intent of cleaving it in two if she could.

Arin was caught off guard when Amaya hugged him from behind, having to readjust his footing to keep from falling on his face "Um...Amaya? As much as I appreciate the friendly gesture, I don't think now is the time to get touchy-feely." He cracked his neck as he stared down the Angel Stars, grinning as he listened to Amaya mention removing the Heartless before asking about what happened, and answering her response with a nod "I'll handle the buzzards, you worry about the swordsman and the little invisible grunt."
Without waiting for a reply, he leapt up at the two Angel Stars, landing on the older one as he hurled the keyblade at the newly summoned Heartless. The Angel star he was standing on closed its wings, and began to glow blue. Sensing this as an attack, this didn't set well with Arin. He summoned his dark keyblade again, leaping behind the Angel Star and slashing multiple times during his descent to the ground. He was now facing in Amaya's direction now, and if she looked quick enough, she would see his face from the front as he dragged out his dark katana and leapt up to do a cross slash that passed straight through the Heartless' back, emerging from the wispy darkness that was the deceased Angel Star.
He saw the other Angel star glowing blue as well and scowled, launching a dark flare spell at the remaining, weaker Heartless to interrupt its attack "Oh no you don't!"
((I figured since there's only the invisible and the stealth soldier left now (not counting the angel star Arin's fighting), you wouldn't mind getting a little creative with your post. I can finish up Arin's battle next post, cuz I think I see that as being the very end of this bout.))
