Damien could see the king give no reaction, just listening to what he was saying. Damien was aware of the guards but he didn't have to worry about there not being any exits. He could tear open a portal if he needed to. The thing was, he just hoped it wouldn't have to come to that. He would rather there not be any conflicts since his friends would only get dragged into it. He didn't want to drag them into his problems of being a former member of the Order.
When they had all finished, the king had thanked them for sharing their stories. As a sign of appreciation, as well as his own choosing, the king said that he would ensure that so long as they were in Cornelia that nothing would befall them. He couldn't say the same for the other royals but under his roof, they would be safe from harm. It was a relief to Damien. He didn't want to drag his friends into more trouble just because of being who he was.
"Thank you, your Highness."
Rekka gave a bow as well before saying "Yes, thank you, your Majesty."
The king wished for them to partake in the meeting with the other world leaders.
"Sure, I'd love to attend. I've got to start learning some time anyway. Land of Dragons may not be doing well right now, and I'm new, but I'll attend!" Aiden replied.
"Yes, I will be there."
"So will I."
Kane gave a bow and said that he would along with Aiden. Now that the king sent them away, they would be able to wander the palace so long as they stayed inside of it. They were soon lead out as the meeting was dismissed between them and the king. With the guard leading them back to the suite, Aiden seemed hopeful.
"I hope things can be fixed."
"They will. We just need to figure things out amongst us all." Rekka didn't know for sure but she hoped so. She could use less fighting and danger for a change.

Walking back to their quarters, Amber listened to Aiden's comment and Rekka's response and included her own words. "The king seems like a much nicer person than the Prince. I'm sure he'll be able to figure things out with the other rulers." She offered to Rekka and Aiden.
Prince Orion on the other hand wasn't too sure. He had studied the Great Universal War. He had spent hours learning about the conflicts between the rulers of the world. "Father will not want to go to war. He will insist that they handle things individually." Orion thought, but did not share his opinion out loud.
More people may have been saved in the war if his father had not been so defiant. During the war he saw allowing someone else to rule his forces as losing his control as king. It had taken the appearance of Red Wilder the III for things to come to agreement. Bartimaeus had even told Orion the story about how Red Wilder had walked over to his father and punched him in the jaw. His father had been livid, but after that day there was no more talks of defiance. King Lion turned over control of his forces.
Reaching the apartments, Orion found himself lost in thought. No doubt he would be running into his father again. How would he react to find Orion here? After all he had thrown away his title of heir. "Do you hate me father?" Orion asked. Would mother be accompanying him? And what of Julian. With everything that had happened he had forgotten all about spotting his brother on the battlefield. And by that fiend's side no less!
"You want anything Orion?" Amber asked him. Apparently she had been in conversation with Rekka, Damien, and Aiden. He hadn't a clue what they were talking about.
Shaking his head he said,"No. I'm good." With that he turned back to his thoughts.
------------
As Orion and everyone waited for the arrival of the other leaders, back on the Land of Dragons Lakari stood at the foot of the mountain. Julian was somewhere near him, rocking back and forth on the ground. Surveying what was left of the camp, Lakari locked eyes on all the destruction. The monsoon had done some very heavy damage on the land and its people. Sadly a lot of their forces were also harmed or killed by such the attack.
The four heads and the few survivors stood in front of him. One of the survivors spoke to one of the heads. Lakari did not turn to see who he was addressing, but he heard the question. "What are we to do now? Most of the army is gone."
That was true. They had lost a lot of their forces. But that didn't worry Lakari. Turning he addressed all who had gathered. "Today is a good day. We have taken what was left of this world. Now it is time to move on! We must travel to Twilight Town where we will strike at the heart of those there!" Raising his keyblade, Lakari pointed it toward the sky. "Rise my breathren! Rise!" A bright blast of light exploded from his keyblade then as a pillar of light arched up into the air. As it reached the sky it broke off into small simple two inch streams that shot toward the ground.
A moment later one by one the dead began to rise. Regardless of their state of bodies, so long as they were not completely smashed or destroyed by buildings they could move. They grabbed whatever was available. For some that was a sword or spear. Others a piece of wood, a hammer, a chain, etc. For one it was a shovel.
Lakari turned to Ivan and the other three heads. "Does this please your dark god?! If so then let us go! Let us take the next world!"
Inside his head an unknown whistling tune began to sound. It was a tune that whipped the smile clear off Lakari's face. A slithering voice spoke in his head then. "Twenty four hours! Twenty four hours until it's mine. Twenty four hours until I dine. And then I'll watch your heart go! Your friends will be in for quite a show!" The voice sang.
"I must hurry!" Lakari thought.

Aiden and Rekka looked over at Amber when she spoke up stating that the king was nicer than the prince. It had been true. The king really was better than his son, Jareth. It was a pity that the king was so ill. Jareth still seemed to have much to learn in terms of how he should treat his subjects. "Getting people to agree on one thing isn't always easy though," Kane added as they walked.
"Still, we gotta have faith. We'll tell our stories as we did before and hope for the best."
"At this point, it's all we can do...otherwise, we're screwed." Cryptically, Damien left Aiden and Rekka silent. Now back in the suite, the lot of them just pretty much chatted. Where Damien wasn't much of a talker, he even said more than Orion. Passing a glance in his friend's direction, it looked as though Orion were lost in thought. No doubt, it had things to do with his father. Orion never revealed to Jareth what happened and, most likely, Orion's father would be vocal on the whole thing unless he chose to ignore Orion completely.
As if sensing what Damien was looking over at, or picking up on Orion's silence, Amber had asked Orion if he wanted anything. Orion, of course, refused wanting anything. Damien didn't mention Orion's father, he already had an inkling on how Orion felt. It was best to let him sift through his thoughts right now. If need be, Damien and Aiden would be there for Orion.
Rekka wasn't sure how things were going to go. Amber and she had made quite a display of themselves during Infusca's execution. Of course, the execution didn't turn out the way that the king had intended but poor Infusca still got killed. The memory left Rekka chilled. No, things might not be as easy as they hoped but maybe, they could convince the leaders to agree on something. The fate of the worlds and the fate of everyone else depended on it.
While they whiled their time away, things were happening in the Land of Dragons.
--------------------------------------------
Ivan stood silently, surveying the damage that had been done. Had Lakari summoned that monsoon? It didn't seem like the elf's way of things. It had been the female head, the one who had killed Lakari, that spoke up.
"How did that monsoon suddenly appear? I've not seen Land of Dragons have storms of that kind!"
Ivan just kept quiet. Lakari was already getting grief from their troops about the loss of most of their army. Where the other side lost everything too, it was a good question. What were they going to do now? It wasn't long before Lakari raised his keyblade and shot up a beam of light. As it became a pillar, reaching the heavens, it broke off into smaller streams of light and hit the ground. As that happened, there was a commotion on the ground below.
Ivan brought his gaze down to find that the dead were rising. The head raised his eyebrows. "Well now, I'm sure our God approves."
Now, they were to take on the next world. That next world would be Twilight Town! "As you wish. Let's go! Twilight Town!" Ivan shouted. Those under his command went through portals, destination Twilight Town.

Prince Jareth walked down the hallway clutching a parchment in one hand. How had it come to this? He, the royal prince, had become a messenger boy! While Damien, Orion, and the rest sat in comfort and luxury, he spent the last three hour running messages from his father to all sorts of people! First it had been to the Cook and the kitchen staff. Then he had been sent on a wild goose chase to find the Captain of the Guard. His father had a message for almost everybody!
Honestly, this was all that Prince Orion's fault! Things had been fine before his appearance. His father had been put on bed rest. His strength had been failing. Rule of the kingdom had turned over to Jareth. "And I was doing well too!" For months, Prince Jareth had been acting as ruler. But a simple message had changed all that! His father had found strength! It was as if he had found a will to live again!
As he walked, Jareth dodged servants. They were running out and about throughout the castle. The majority of them were helping with the preparations for the rulers. Passing one by at that moment he practically ran into the retch. She was carrying a stack of white pillows. While they avoided colliding, Jareth was livid. "Damn them all!" He thought.
-------------
His Royal Majesty Casius Vladimir, ruler and king of Cornelia, stood in the situation room looking over all the reports that they had on the Order of the Destroyer. Even though he could not read his son's mind, if he had he would have agreed. Indeed Casius, once sickly and seemingly on his death bed, was now full of energy. He poured over those reports going over every detail. What were there motives? Where would they attack next? How had they called so many people to there side?
The sad fact was that Casius's sickness had prevented him from ruling the kingdom. As such he had handed over rule to his son for the majority of things. His son had not kept tabs on what was occurring here in Cornelia in terms of the Order. There was no information readily available. No reports, because none of them were here. That was where Casius had sent his son just moments ago, down to the barracks to get a hold of his generals along with a message for them to bring with them any information on the order.
Then there was the matter of the Emperor. If he truly had returned they were all in big trouble. Lakari, while only a single person, had the power to summon the dead. Now with a keyblade, he might very well be unstoppable! How were they to kill a monster like that?!
A knock at the door interrupted Casius's thoughts. "Yes?" He answered, though never looking up from the notes scattered on the table.
"Sir. There here."
-------------
Approaching the front gate, the Mayor of Twilight Town and his entourage stopped before the guards. A tall man, the Mayor of Twilight Town was darned in emerald robes. Even though he was bald, the Mayor of Twilight Town was only in his thirties. He had been appointed as Mayor of Twilight Town for the last four years. His entourage consisted of seven different individuals: two female clerks, his personal body guard, the Captain of the Police Force (a large gentlemen in his fifties with a pot belly and hammer mustache), and three hooded figures.
Stopping at the guards in front of the drawbridge, the Mayor of Twilight Town smiled. "Good evening gents. I am here on bequest of your king. I do believe I am expected."
The guard stationed at the gate nodded for them to pass through. "And so we begin." The Mayor said as he began to cross the drawbridge.
-----------
From the window, Orion watched the Mayor until he disappeared beyond the drawbridge. Having met the Mayor three years ago during a meeting between his father, the Mayor of Twilight Town had always seemed very much like a sleeze bag to Orion. There was just something about him that Orion didn't like.
Movement at the front of the walkway caught Orion's eye, and what he saw made him hold his breath. They were here. Even from here Orion could make out his father. King Lion of the Enchanted Domain was dabbed in red and gold plated armor. Even though he was close to seventy years old, his father was still a brute of a man. Gray hair and a gray goatee were very signature for the man and cut to precision. Although he could not make out the features in his face from here, Orion could already picture the stern scowling eyes that his father probably was wearing even now. Orion was almost a splitting image of his father. Unlike Julian, who had his mother's features, Orion very closely resembled his father when he was younger. The two looked almost identical if you compared them at the same age.
Next to him walked his mother. Mrs. Lion was much younger than her husband. In her early forties she was a beauty. Long jet black hair, kind brown eyes, high cheek bones, and pale skin, accompanied a curved body. She wore a beautiful red dress with a black coat over her shoulders. Even from here, Orion could see that she wore a necklace of jewels. While his father filled him with dread, seeing his mother was a welcoming sight. Orion loved her dearly. Although his father had married her for her looks, she had no problem with competing with her father when it came to shouting matches.
Behind them, walked eight others. Orion knew all of them. Captain of the Sky Guards, the personal guards of the royal family, Arthur Butch walked to the right of father. Behind them were his father's two personal body guards and also his mothers. The other four, Orion recognized as three clerks, and the last person made Orion go weak to the knees. Closing up the group was Max!
"He's not dead... I didn't kill him!" Orion said aloud.

If Damien had been gazing out the window, he would have considered the Mayor's presence as something bad. After all, at the very start of Damien's journey and during a time where Orion and Damien were enemies, the Mayor had been one of the first people they encountered along the way. The Mayor had stated that he'd help the Order behind the scenes but were things now different? The Mayor hadn't appreciated the attack made on him where he had thought it to be the doing of the Order. Damien was even blamed outright for it whom had to tell the Mayor he didn't care what the man thought since he had told him the truth. There was certainly a person Damien should probably not be in the presence of. Then again, would either dare to give the other away? Damien wasn't with the Order anymore but revealing his past wouldn't bode well when it came to the other leaders. Cornelia's king might be mistaken for working with the Order. On top of it, who was that mysterious body guard the Mayor had? He was all wrapped in bandages and creepy, last Damien knew.
When Orion spotted his family, if they had been gazing out the window, Rekka and Amber might not be as delighted to see them. Well, more so the guards than anything else. Neither of them had anything to do with the king. However, what happened after Infusca's death likely had them as most wanted in Orion's world.
Aiden didn't really know any of the world leaders so this would be a new experience for him. The only one he actually knew were the elves after that fiasco Damien, Orion and he had undergone.
Then, out of the blue, they heard Orion exclaim how he hadn't killed someone. That this someone wasn't dead. Curious, Aiden alked over and peered out. "Who didn't you kill?" Aiden questioned Orion. Damien walked over and peered out as well. Crossing his arms, Damien spotted an elderly man that looked like Orion adorned in armor, a woman was walking beside him and behind them and on either side were their guards. Damien recognized some of their group.
"...How did he even survive a strike like that?" Damien murmured when his eyes landed on Max. The attack Orion had done looked nearly fatal and the guards certainly took their sweet time about transporting Max. Damien certainly hadn't forgotten that man. He was always scared of Damien despite being openly gruff with Damien. Max and the guards knew of Damien as part of the Order. Would it be best for Damien to skip out on the meeting? Then again, had the Mayor of Twilight Town change to someone else already? Like it or not, he had to go.
"Say, Orion? Is that your family?" Aiden asked him curiously as he gazed out at them coming into the castle. "Wow, nice armor!" Aiden stated.
Rekka looked over at Amber. "You know...I just remembered something. Back in Enchanted Domain. Aren't we technically wanted criminals there? I'm sure if there's that captain or whatever he was is there, if that elf didn't kill him first, that he'd remember us."
"But...the king said no matter what, so long as we're here, we're safe?" Aiden said, looking over at the others when he heard Rekka.
"Just because he's willing to protect you doesn't mean danger won't come your way from the others. The king, yes, may be true to his word but that doesn't mean he'd be able to intervene in time if someone were to say, shoot at us with an arrow or something. It's best to be on guard during this meeting..." Damien trailed off before glancing at everyone in the room. "I mean for all of us to be on guard when I said that."

Orion hadn't meant to draw attention to himself. It sort of just happened with his words. "No more hiding now..." Orion thought. Still how was Max alive? Orion was sure he had killed him. It must have been a miracle that they were able to keep him alive. "What does he think of me now? Will he be angry? Upset?" Orion was dreading meeting his family now more than ever.
"Um... yeah that's them." Orion answered Aiden's question.
Amber on the other hand was gazing out the window too. Rekka had a good point. They probably were wanted criminals back in the Enchanted Domain. They had techniquely tried to save a necromancer. She hadn't forgotten everything that had happened back there. Hearing Damien's response she for one agreed. "I think you're right. Best not give anyone reason to try and arrest us."
Orion watched his family continue until they disappeared. Gulping he turned away from the window. "Well there here. The other two leaders. During the conference the only ones who will be there will the the Mayor, my father, his royal majesty, and us. The others they brought will not be invited to the conference." Orion had gone through one of these before. A meeting of kings and rulers. They were always filled with arguments, sometimes shouting matches, and usually agreement only on general universals. He had never been to a conference under such a condition such as this one however, so he had no clue what to expect how this would play into the dynamics.
He didn't even know what sort of role they would have to play. "What do you think they'll ask of us?" Amber asked.
Orion didn't know for certain. "My guess would be what happened. I think the King of Cornelia will ask us to recall the stories from before. Actually Aiden, I think you may have somewhat of a bigger role in this. Since you are the..."
"Oh crap!" Amber suddenly interjected. She was gazing out the window. Confused Orion turned back towards it. There another group of people were coming up the walkway to the castle. Orion, Damien, and Aiden would recognize the Chief Elder of the elves, and his entourage of three others. One was the Captain of the Gate when they first entered. The second was the elf, Natalia, the female elf who had helped them get into the Kingdom of Elves, and the third was Ava, the elf who had showed them around and acted as the Elder's chief assistant.
Unbeknownst to everyone, Amber knew all four elves. She had not forgotten the trip she had taken with Rekka and Bartimaeus to the wall. They had never reached it before they were attacked. "I haven't seen them in years..." Yet they looked exactly the same as they had when she left. Elves aged very slowly once they reached their twenties.
"Hey isn't that..." Orion couldn't remember the elves names but he recognized them. He hadn't known that they would be coming too.

Aiden looked over at Orion curiously for a short moment. Saying nothing, Aiden peered back out at them. He could see the similarities from here. His keener sight allowed him to look upon Orion's family as if they were standing right in front of him. "Hm, I wonder how things are going to go..." Aiden trailed off.
It was Amber that spoke next after what Damien had said about them keeping their guard up. "Yeeeah, we don't need a repeat of me melting down the bars again, eheh!" Rekka replied with a sheepish smile in Amber's direction. Last time they were imprisoned Rekka had gotten so angry that, without thinking about the others, she had melted a hole in the bars.
"Melt bars? Hah! Just have Damien open up a portal and you're set!" Aiden retorted. Damien just shook his head at what Aiden said. Where that was a more likely option, Damien didn't need it broadcasted. It was best to keep that to their advantage without anyone else knowing that Damien could open up portals.
A distraction came in the form of Orion when he told them what the conference would be like. Where the others would not be involved, they would still be meeting with the world leaders. When Amber asked what they would ask of us, all of them turned their sight onto Orion. Orion went on to explain that he believed that the King of Cornelia would want them all to retell their stories from the beginning. Aiden looked back over at Orion when he brought up the fact that Aiden might play a larger role in this. The kid could already guess though what Orion had to be talking about but honestly, Aiden had no idea how he'd be of any help. He was still a teenager. He wasn't fit to be king so soon. Whatever he'd say would probably cause the whole conference to collapse or something. No, he certainly didn't have much confidence in that field. However, before Orion could finish what he was saying, Amber had interjected. All of them turned their heads to look out the window after Amber had said that.
"Oh, the elves!" Rekka exclaimed. Amber, Bartimaeus and Rekka had never made it to the elven kingdom. They had intended to go there at the start of their journey but they wound up getting severely side tracked. Rekka slowly brought her gaze onto Amber after looking at each of the elves. Her friend had been with the elves before coming to Cornelia. How would this be for Amber?
Damien and Aiden gazed out their own respective windows. "Hm, well, what do you know?" Damien stated simply. Seeing the elves was a bit relieving. True, things had been alien when they were all there but Damien could say that he didn't mind the company of the elves...except that healer. Damien could do without that creepy healer.
"OH! HEY GU-!" Aiden went to call, only to hit his face on the window. Kane sighed before gently pulling Aiden off of the window.
"Your majesty, you must be careful with what actions you take. You could have broken that glass and fallen out and that would have been the end of the Wilder royal blood line."
Aiden rubbed his face. "Ow!"
Damien shook his head before looking out. "Yeah, that's all of the elves we met...well, save for that healer..." There was a noticeable shudder that Damien had when he mentioned the elf healer. Orion would likely share the same opinion or close to it.

Orion would have rather forgotten about that elf. He remembered him, and the awkwardness he created. Like Damien, he shuddered slightly. Just the thought gave him the jibes! Orion did not realize the relationship Amber had with the elves. If he had perhaps he would have surely empathized with how she was feeling. Heck he had been feeling that way just a moment ago about seeing his father!
Now they really were all here. "As I was um... saying, Aiden I think potentially you may have a slightly more important role. You have the right to sit in as a leader and make decisions. You represent the Land of Dragons now." Looking to Kane, Orion wondered what influence this man would have on Aiden. Kane seemed like a nice man, but they had just met him. Orion had ready many histories of how child kings and leaders were taken advantage of by their advisor. "Does he have his best interest at heart?" Orion wondered.
Orion wold make sure to keep a close eye on Kane. If he seemed fishy or did something out of stance, Orion would say something.
Listening to Orion, Amber did her best to try and not think about having to meet the chief elder. He was a kind man at heart, but what would he say when he saw her at the conference? "Perhaps I should just stay here until the conference." she told Rekka. She didn't want to run the risk of running into any of the elves. Orion was of similar feeling as well.
"Well the king will let us know when there ready for the conference." He said. There wasn't much to do until then.

Aiden looked at Orion and shrugged. "I might...but how do I even go about it? I might not even be taken seriously. You guys don't..." Aiden stated. "You all think of me as just a kid. I'm not good with this politics stuff." Damien walked over and placed a hand on Aiden's head.
"You won't be the only one there. We'll help you. We're your friends." Kane gave a nod.
"We will not lead you astray. I am not good with political matters myself either but with what I can help you with, I will." Kane didn't realize Orion was suspicious of him. However, it would be understandable for them to be suspicious of him. Kane had only just joined them with the sudden news that Aiden was the new king of Land of Dragons. It could be easy for Kane to take advantage of the fact that Aiden was young and naïve. He could easily turn Aiden into his puppet.
Then, Amber stated that maybe she should wait her until the conference. Orion replied stating that the king would let them know when they were ready for the conference. Rekka peered over at Amber quietly. Maybe she had ill feelings with those elves that showed up. Rekka did recall Amber saying her life hadn't been pleasant in the elven realm. It had caused her to leave.
"Well, if you're staying in here then I will. It's not like I've any business to wander the halls anyway. Too much risk of bumping into things. Wouldn't want to accidentally crash into Prince prissy," Rekka stated with a smile. It was a pitiful excuse but there was some humor in what she said. She was poking light fun at the fact that she couldn't see where her eye was missing.
"I want to take a look around. I'll see you guys in a short bit!" Aiden stated. He walked out of the room with Kane close at his side. Damien watched them go. What was he going to do? Why did Aiden go with Kane? Oh well, if the knight did turn out to be terrible, Damien and Orion would make him pay. After all, Aiden was their youngest member and friend. Admit it or not, Damien and Orion were protective of him. Even if the kid had a habit of getting on their nerves now and then. Well, Damien's nerves more so than Orion's.
"You guys can do what you want. Don't feel like you can't because of us." Rekka was politely letting Damien and Orion know they could leave and not feel obligated to stay in the suite.
"Eh, where I could I don't feel like walking out with my hair like that again." Damien hated slicking his hair back. That accompanied with his normal face's appearance made him look ridiculous. On top of it, there was no telling if anyone would be of the same opinion as the king. He didn't need to risk the leaders figuring out who he was until the conference. If the Mayor saw him, he'd think Damien was here to spy on him or to try and do him harm. No, they didn't need more drama than they would be having in the conference.
After saying that, Damien walked on the opposite end of the suite and took a seat on the windowsill as he looked out at the scenery. How long did they have before another world was under attack? What was Ivan up to now?

As time passed things were happening very quickly in Twilight Town. Arriving on the land, Lakari was taking a different tactic than on Land of Dragons. He had instructed the four heads to go on ahead and blend in with the public. The initial attack on Twilight Town was going to be a different sort of attack. He had yet to send the undead through the portals because once they began to appear it would be no hiding their dead and rugged appearance. The reason for changing tactics for this world was because there was a well established military personal in Twilight Town.
The Police Force, while they could not hope to match their numbers, would be enough of a hinderance that they could slow down the take over. Lakari estimated that they had maybe three hundred police force. If the force managed to bring the public, the battle could take much longer than Lakari could afford. Lakari wanted a quick take over of Twilight Town so that he could focus the big attack on Cornelia. That would be the hardest battle. Compared to Cornelia, Land of Dragons was easy.
Lakari's instructions to Ivan, the other three heads, and the remaining live soldiers had been simple. He told them to blend in with the crowd and approach the Police HQ. Once they were in position they were to let out an onslaught on the HQ. At the same time Lakari would open the portals at the edges of Twilight Town and the undead would begin to come through. It would be a two scale attack.
"Tick tock elf. Eighteen hours.". The serpent said.
Lakari fumed. Those damn four heads better hurry!
--------------
While the time passed, Amber was surprised to hear a knock on their door. The sun had been setting when the knock came. Thinking that Aiden had returned, Amber walked to the door and opened it. She was surprised to see that it was not Aiden or Kane! Instead a woman Amber had never met before had arrived. She seemed young, with her long jet black hair and high cheek bones. She was wearing a red dress. She was taller than Amber, at five feet and nine inches. Amber had to look up to look her in the eyes.
"Excuse me. I'm looking for Orion."
Blinking Amber just stared at the woman. "Oh! You're.." Realizing that she was standing in front of the Queen of the Enchanted Domain, Amber gulped. Head cast down she moved out of the way.
Orion, who had been laying down on a couch, was suddenly on his feet. "Mother!" What was she doing here?! Had the king of Cornelia told them that they were here.
Mrs. Lion stepped into the room and turned to her son. "I haven't seen you in months and that's what you say?" There was no smile. Orion didn't know what to do? Was she here to yell at him? Orion really didn't give a flying hoot about his father. However the thought that his mother might hate him, scared him.
"Well... um... I didn't want to..." Orion lost his voice as his mother, in three inch heels, strolled right across the room like she hadn't a care in the world.
As she reached him she suddenly threw her arms around him and pulled him into a hug. "I didn't know if you were dead or alive! Stupid son of mine, I don't care what you did or who you hurt. You are my son! I will not let my blood just leave me like that!"
Another surprise! Orion hadn't been expecting that either! Still he found himself in tears. "I'm sorry. Oh mother! I hadn't meant to harm Max... I was forced in a tough situation and... Oh it got so out of control so fast and I just acted!"
His mother patted his back. "It's alright Orion. Now let me see you." Breaking the hug she looked him up and down. "You seem alright despite everything. At least physically. Oh but dead you must be washing. Your skin is rough and scaley and dirty."
Orion rolled his eyes. "Oh my god mom!"
Laughing, Mrs. Lion turned to the rest of the lookers in the room. No doubt they all had been watching the transaction. "Now introduce me to all these lovely people. Thank you all for looking after my little booger."
Orion practically reeled. Little booger! Oh gosh if Aiden heard that he'd never live it down!

Damien turned his head toward the door when there was a knock, as did everyone else in the room. Amber went ahead and answered it. Much like Amber, Damien had thought it would be Aiden and Kane. He was surprised to see a woman standing there adorned in a red dress. She was young in appearance but older than the lot of them standing there. As the woman spoke, Damien looked toward Orion. How was this reunion going to be for the young, former prince?
Realizing who the woman was, Amber made an exclamation before stepping aside. As the woman entered the room, Rekka couldn't help but look. She didn't see many world leaders in her time since she was an average person so it was a wonder to see the Queen of the Enchanted Domain. Orion immediately shot up when he noticed his mother. Now that Rekka thought about it, Rekka wondered how her own mother was doing and how she was doing. Rekka had been gone for a while. Was she worried?
Of course, Damien tried to mind his own business once he realized the woman that entered the room was Orion's mother. It wasn't his business how things went. Hearing the response that she gave Orion made Damien avert his gaze in case there was a spat between the two. Orion, of course, struggled to apologize for everything. When his mother went over and embraced him, Damien couldn't help but glance over. Unlike the others, Damien didn't have a normal childhood when it came to parents. His parental figure had never been his real flesh and blood and on top of it, merely trained Damien most of his childhood to build him into a killing machine. Ivan never really cared about Damien. All along, he had used him. Did Damien feel something seeing Orion with his mother? It wasn't certain since his expression didn't once change before Orion's mother turned her attention onto them all in the room.
It was amusing to hear Orion's mother telling him to take a bath and even going as far as calling him "booger". Rekka wasn't sure what to say when Orion's mother had thanked them. "You're...welcome." It was rather awkward.
Damien was at a loss for words right now. Damien was the reason why Orion got landed in the situation he had been in. Yet, they were friends now. However, what would Orion think now that his mother was here reminding him of things that happened back then? Orion's mother wanted him to introduce his friends. At that moment, Aiden finally came back with Kane following him. Nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary for the two. However, Aiden did take pause when he saw the woman next to Orion. It was Orion's mother!
"Oh! I'm sorry, didn't see you there. Hello!" Aiden greeted her, going as far as walking up to her and shaking her hand. As one could already guess, Aiden still had to learn how to act around royalty. "My name's Aiden!" Leave it to Aiden to be the first to introduce himself.

The situation was awkward! Amber was of similar mind to Rekka. She felt like she was eaves dropping on Orion and his mother's reunion as it occurred. It did, like Rekka, remind Amber of her own mother. She was gone now... Passed away while she was away. It was a sore subject, one Amber didn't really face yet. When Orion's mother turned to the rest of them, Amber didn't know what to say. It was at that time that Aiden appeared.
Perhaps Aiden had yet to realize that he was speaking to the Queen of the Enchanted Domain. However his approach did not seem to bother her. "Hello Aiden. Nice to meet you. I am Orion's mother." She told him.
Well at least Aiden broke the awkward somewhat. Amber turned to the queen. "I haven't been a friend of your son's long, but my name is Amber." Really they had just met. In fact Amber felt they were more acquaintances then friends. Still she wanted to introduce herself at least. Once everyone had introduced themselves, Mrs. Lion turned back to her son. "Now I want to hear what has been happening Orion. I want to know what happened and why it was that you attacked Max."
Without ado Orion began. He started from the beginning, telling his mother everything. He spoke of what happened when he first entered Twilight Town. He hadn't exactly told Damien that he was charged with breaking into the organization to try and find a way to destroy it, but Damien most likely could have guessed from what had occurred. When he got to Max, Orion spoke of things from his point of view. How he had acted in the moment. How the moment his blade had entered Max he had regretted it.
The talk of his downward spiral was even harder. He spoke of how he felt when he found out he was kicked out. He just didn't have any motivation for anything anymore. He had lost his identity, and while he didn't say that to his mother in those terms it was clear to anyone listening that that was what had happened. Orion did not tell his mother about running into his brother. He kept that part of the story out for several reasons. He still didn't know what he was doing with that elf and the Order, and where he was.
Orion wanted to go look for him, but he couldn't. Not yet anyway. He had to wait for this conference to be over. As he continued his story a knock at the door, about an hour into the story, made him pause. Who was it now?
Once the door was opened it was revealed that a guard entered. "Excuse me, but his majesty the King of Cornelia wishes me to ask for you to come straight away."
Confused Amber asked, "What's going on? I thought the Conference isn't till tomorrow?"
The guard's eyes flickered as he contemplated as if he should say more. "Er... I'm not certain mam, but the other soldiers are saying that there's been another attack. I think it's Twilight Town."
Orion and his mother shared a look. At the same time Amber glanced over at Rekka, worried as well. "Go dears." The queen told them. Raising Orion prepared to leave. Right before he left, she grabbed his arm. "Orion. Your father is a stubborn fool. Do not let him get to you in that room."
He nodded, but inside he forced down a gulp. Looks like it was time.

"Nice to meet you!" Aiden greeted her with a smile. It didn't even occur to him that his introduction might have been improper in normal cases when dealing with royalty. In his eyes, he was being nice and welcoming. It's the only way he knew how to greet people. He didn't realize what he had done was considered improper. As it was already clear, Aiden had a lot to learn about acting like royalty.
It was Amber who introduced herself next. Uncertainly, still feeling awkward, Rekka spoke next. "Yes, Amber and I just recently became friends with Orion along with the other two here. My name is Rekka, nice to meet you."
Damien slid off the windowsill and stood. He might as well get introductions over with. "My name is Damien Stark. I and Aiden have been with Orion for most of the time he has been away." Aiden nodded to confirm that.
"And I am Kane. A pleasure to meet you, your Highness." Kane had bowed to her out of respect before returning to Aiden's side. Now that they had all been introduced, Orion's mother returned her attention onto Orion. She wanted to know what was happening and why Orion had attacked Max. Thus, Orion went into the story of what he had been doing up until now.
It wasn't long before another knock was heard at the door. Rekka glanced at Amber before going to the door and opening it. When she did, a guard was standing there. As soon as the door opened, the guard spoke to them all. The king wished for them to all come straight away. This made Rekka furrow her brows in wonder. It wasn't long before Amber voiced the question everyone else was thinking. There had been an attack on Twilight Town!
"Oh...no..." Rekka stated before glancing over at Aiden. Aiden looked like a mixture between anger and concern. Mrs. Lion spoke to them, stating that they should go. Damien gave a nod before placing a hand on Aiden's shoulder and ushering him out with a reassuring nod. Kane followed close after him. Rekka gave a nod to Mrs. Lion. "Sorry we couldn't talk longer. It was nice meeting you." With that, Rekka stepped out along with the others.
-------------------------------------
Ivan appeared beside Lakari. He wasn't sure why but it felt as if the elf was in a rush. Once the living members of the group had infiltrated the police's HQ, they unleashed an attack as the elf had wanted. It wasn't long before the world's authoritative structure had collapsed in of itself.
"Is everything how you had wished it to be, Lakari?" Ivan had asked him as he watched the other three heads take care of any that dared to come near their immediate vicinity.

The guard led them down through the hallway, but this time on a different path then they had gone before. Amber had only been in the castle once before, and it had been along the side hallways to meet with some of the Guards. She had never traverse this hallway before. It was a fairly straight path that led them back towards the middle of the castle, but more towards the back of it. They passed by a couple different closed doors. Amber could only guess what was behind those.
Glancing at Rekka she found herself nervous. "I don't know if I'm ready for this..." She shared with her friend. Amber would have liked a night's rest before meeting the Elder and the other elves. She would have had more time to prepare then!
Orion was of similar mind. He was not ready to meet his father! To say that he was uncomfortable with the King of the Enchanted Domain was an understatement. Orion practically feared his father! Perhaps Damien might share the closest feelings with how he was feeling in that moment. As the Prince of the Enchanted Domain he led the group, right behind the guard. As it was he was the first to recognize the door to the conference room.
There two guards were stationed on the outside. Upon their approach, they opened the door for them. Inside the leaders of the worlds awaited. Stepping in first, Orion was the first to see the layout of the room. It was a single square room large circular round table. Rolling chairs were stationed around the table, and if Orion had a care to count he would see that there was just enough for the members of their party and the leaders. Across the circle table sat the King of Cornelia. Dressed in the same outfit as before he looked up at their entrance.
Orion spotted the Mayor of Twilight Town next. He sat to the right of the King of Cornelia three chairs away from him, which was somewhat in the middle of the two opposite edges of the circle. He glanced at them all with raised eyebrows as they entered.
Opposite him, to the right of the Mayor, was the Chief Elder of Elfenhiem. Wearing a majestic robe of emerald green and brown, he looked much the same since Orion, Damien, and Aiden saw him last. When he spotted the three his eyes lifted in surprise at seeing them. He was even more surprised when he saw Amber. He openly stared at her with wide eyes. While his mouth certainly didn't drop open, he was clearly very surprised to see her there.
And of course sitting with his back to the door, opposite of the King of the Cornelia, was King Lion Lotus, ruler of the Enchanted Domain. He was donned in full armor, as he had been when he arrived, he did not turn his chair fully, however as Orion moved to let the others in the room his father did turn his head. His eyes locked on Orion. The expression he gave Orion felt like a punch to the face. His father kept a poker face. If anything it was as if Orion was a nobody. There was no hint of recognition in his eyes. No smile, no frown, no nothing!
"Thank you everyone for coming." The King of Cornelia said. "Please take a seat. We must move quickly." He told them.
-------------------
While the battle commenced, Lakari did not take part. He watched from the Watch Tower, a place where he could easily watch the destruction unfold. As the four heads attacked the Police HQ, Lakari had signaled the portals to open and for the Undead to attack. The battle was going well so far. The Four Heads had landed a heavy blow on the Police Force. But they had not killed all of them. There was enough of a force that they were putting up somewhat of a fight. It was not large, and it would not even cost their side much with all the chaos as it was going. But it pissed Lakari off! They were making things take longer!
As Ivan appeared, Lakari turned on him. His eyes were a blaze with fury. "What are you doing here?!" Lakari pointed to the police force near the other end of the city. "Take your remainder men and attack those forces! We must not let them have any hope! If they get the citizens into an organized group this will take too long!"
Lakari broke off contact with Lakari. Where was that boy?! Where was Julian. Eyes fleeting right and left, Lakari spotted him in the doorway to the outer section of the Watch Tower about ten feet away. Storming along the edge he walked up to the boy, who was just sitting and starring with dead eyes, and grabbed him by his shaggy hair. "You must stay by me!" Lakari dragged the teen by the hair to where he was standing. To Julian's credit he did let out a scream of pain as he was being dragged. But when Lakari reached to where he was standing before and let go, the boy's scream turned to a small whimper.
If Ivan was saying anything to him, it was lost to Lakari. His eyes had turned to the field as he watched the undead attack. Hurry! He must hurry! For once the laughing delighted voice in his head didn't even seem to bother him. "Ten hours Lakari. Ten hours." The serpent said.

The path they went down that the guard was leading them down was very linear and straightforward. As they went, Rekka could only wonder where the conference would be and what it would be like. She didn't have much to dread on a personal level unlike that of Orion, Aiden and Amber or even Damien. Of course, she did worry for her friends. She hoped that nothing bad would happen while they were in the meeting and that any hatred leaders felt toward them wouldn't be the deciding factor in the end. The fate of the worlds was at stake! Twilight Town, even now, was under attack if it hadn't been decimated already like Aiden's world had been.
Amber spoke to her and Rekka had to turn her head to be able to see Amber. "Don't worry. I'm here, Amber. No matter what happens, I'm still your friend." It was the best that Rekka could offer to Amber in reassurance. Honestly, she didn't know what they were going to face but she would support the others as best she could. She just hoped nothing drastic happened and she lost her temper. Her bursting in flames all of a sudden would likely cause them all problems and Rekka didn't want to cost them that.
Aiden could feel Damien's hand on his shoulder still. The older male hadn't taken his hand off of him as they walked down the halls. It were almost as if he were trying to wordlessly tell Aiden that he was there for him. As if he could sense what Aiden must have felt then. He had lost his world and to hear that another was suffering the same fate affected him greatly. Just how many more people had to suffer? What did Lakari hope to gain by killing everyone? It was disheartening. Even now, the remaining worlds were likely to fall to the same enemy. What were they going to do? How was Aiden going to even partake in this? He didn't even know the fundamentals of discussing with already experienced world leaders and he had suddenly become one. He would be a joke to the rest!
"It will be alright, your highness. Do not let your fears get the better of you." Kane reassured him in a low tone as they went. Damien released Aiden when they had finally reached the room. As they entered, he became very aware of the eyes set on them. Damien remained poised as he looked right over at the Mayor of Twilight Town. Needless to say, he had a look of surprise on his face. Then again, most of the leaders did except for Orion's father. It was this man that Damien looked over at next. The way he looked at Orion was expressionless. It were almost as if he never knew his own son. Damien could understand how Orion must have felt since Ivan had treated him the same way.
Without saying a word, Damien walked over to stand next to Orion as Aiden walked over to stand on Orion's other side. It wasn't long before the king of Cornelia had thanked them for coming. With that, he ushered them to take a seat so that they could get into the swing of things. Where ever Orion sat, Damien would sit on one side of him while Aiden would sit in the other. It were as if it were natural for the three of them to sit together and, thankfully, seats were arranged for them to be able to sit next to each other. Wherever Amber sat, Rekka would sit next to her.
------------------------------------------
Ivan wasn't surprised when Lakari reacted the way he did. There was something bothering him. What that was, Ivan couldn't be sure as the elf shouted at him asking why Ivan wasn't in the thick of battle leading more troops into the thick of things.
"In a rush, are we? Fine, I will not argue but I dare to wonder what has you so worried when the enemy here is so...weak in comparison to us." Ivan tore open a portal, just as Lakari dragged that royal youth by the hair back over to him. Honestly, Ivan couldn't understand why Lakari kept that boy near him. What purpose did the boy serve? True, he had done a great service with the things he did in the Land of Dragons but what else was there now?
It remained a mystery to Ivan as he appeared before a number of troops. Barking out orders, they charged the remainder of the enemy lines. It wouldn't be long until finally the last resistance would fail. Now, all that was left were the civilians in the town.
Ahead of Ivan, the woman Head was enjoying herself. A young boy was trying to throw a rock at her but she dodged it with ease. Slowly, she walked toward him. With every second, the Grim Reaper loomed above the child's head. Death would take him soon.

"Someone want to mind telling me why were here?" The Mayor of Twilight Town asked. Even as Orion and the rest took their seats it seemed like the Mayor was eager to get things started. "Was there really a need to call a 'war conference'?" The Mayor asked. He eyed Damien as he, Orion, and Aiden, all took a seat by the Chief Elder. Amber had taken a seat on the other side other side of the table near the Mayor.
The King of the Cornelia turned towards the Mayor. "The reason I called you here..." He began as all of a sudden in the center of the table a hologram of the Land of Dragons appeared in front of them in the center of the table. The hologram took the form of a giant globe that took up almost the entirety of the table. It provided an overhead view of the world in real time and the destruction that had been caused there.
Seeing it Orion was saddened. The world was empty except for the destruction of the city and camps. The waters of the monsoon had died down, but they left even more destruction in their wake! "is because of this."
Orion's father spoke next. "What is this, Richard?" He asked.
The King of Cornelia responded, "This is a live feed of the Land of Dragons. I have asked your son and his friends here to this conference because they were the ones to report what happened. They are the only survivors of the destruction that took place here. The King of the Land of Dragons is dead, Lion."
Raising an eyebrow, Lion Lotus did not look at Orion then. However he remained silent. Richard, the king of Cornelia, turned to them. "I ask that you retell your stories. But please tell a condensed version. Time is of essence."
Turning the floor over to them, one by one they were given the opportunity to tell what had happened. This time there were questions asked. The majority of them were asked by the Mayor of Twilight Town. He seemed to be very doubtful of what they said. In fact his eyes were practically a blaze when it came Damien's turn to speak. Not one with a poker face, he didn't seem happy that Damien was talking. However he said nothing to him, nor did he reveal that he had known Damien from before.
King Lion and King Richard both remained silent. It was hard to tell what Orion's father thought. His face remained set and unmoving with their stories. The Chief Elder also kept his opinions to himself.

Damien could tell, as he went to sit down that the Mayor of Twilight Town was eying him. At the given moment, Damien only merely acknowledged the man's presence by looking directly over at him. Oh, he knew the Mayor remembered him, alright. No doubt, he wondered if Damien was still with the Order of the Destroyer or not. He also probably wondered if Damien would reveal what he was to the others and their involvement with the Order of the Destroyer. No doubt, he would be difficult during this. Damien, however, did his best to act as if he didn't care that the Mayor of Twilight Town was there. Let him sweat.
Now that they were seated, the King of Cornelia had turned something on and before them all appeared what had to be a world. When he saw it, Damien furrowed his brow. It was the Land of Dragons. Seeing it now, Damien realized just how much damage had been done. Were there any survivors left in that world? What of Remi?
Aiden gripped the arms of the seat as the King announced that the world's former leader was dead. "You mean, the former King of the Land of Dragons is dead..." Aiden added. Damien looked over at the teenager. No doubt, Aiden would be laughed at or looked down upon for his age. Aiden hadn't a clue about how to act as a leader. This would be his first world conference. Damien wished he could be of more help for Aiden but Damien wasn't the sort to lead a world. That was probably something Orion might be able to help teach him with along whatever journey they all embarked on.
As the King of Cornelia asked them to retell their stories in a consolidated form, they all went into telling them. When it came to Damien's turn, he already knew that the Mayor would act the way he did with Damien there. Damien, whenever the Mayor went to interject and ask questions, Damien focused his gaze on him. There was also the subtle blaze in Damien's own eyes as he leered back at the Mayor, returning the favor. Even when he had first met the guy, Damien had hated the Mayor regardless of whether or not he had been a member of the Order of the Destroyer.
Aiden and Rekka even picked up on the hostility in the room. Aiden could see that the Mayor looked angry whenever Damien spoke. He didn't seem to want to accept his tale, nor any of their's but he was particularly antagonistic when it came to Damien's turn. Damien even looked subtly pissed with the Mayor as well.
"Look, I told you my end of the story. Take it as you will. I'm tired of repeating myself," Damien gave with a low growl in the Mayor's direction. He had to have been forced to repeat and explain more times than the others. So, naturally, he'd be angry with the Mayor for interrupting him and making him retell in different ways, all coming to the same exact story as a sure sign that Damien hadn't been lying. Finished, Damien took his seat and although he was quiet, he kept his gaze now fixed on the Mayor. If the Mayor of Twilight Town wanted to make it personal, Damien wasn't beyond returning the favor.
Aiden leaned over and whispered into Orion's ear. "Man, that old geezer is a jerk! You'd think he'd be more worried about the fact that his world's been under attack." Kane cleared his throat a little in response to Aiden's words. From where he was seated, he could hear him. A world leader shouldn't say such things.

The four leaders had all looked at Aiden in interest when he informed them that the former King of the Land of Dragons was dead. While the King of Cornelia understood that Aiden was to be the next king, the other leaders had not yet learned of this news. As each of them took turns in telling their story, the interaction between the Mayor of Twilight Town and Damien seemed on the edge. Orion was surprised his friend hadn't decked the mayor with the way he was treating him.
Finishing his story, it was actually the Elder of Elfenhiem who interjected. "I would like to add my own opinion to this. Recently, when these three had visited Elfenhiem an attack was made on our land. I can bear witness that Emperor Lakari is alive... At least his body."
Hearing them talk about her father, Amber raised an eyebrow at that. What did the elder mean by saying that? Vaguely she heard Orion and Aiden whispering. Orion was telling Aiden to shush or something, but she was more interested in what the elder had to say. "Lakari and some of his men appeared and made an attempt on my life as well as on some of my breathren. I fought him, and I can certainly say that he is different than before. I sensed a different sort of darkness in him than before."
The King of Cornelia was troubled by this. If Lakari had made an attempt on the elves home, how long before he attempted to take the world. "That is why I have called this conference. Even now..." Swiping his hand through the air in front of him, the elder caused the hologram world to swipe to the right and be replaced by a different world. In front of them now was a live feed of Twilight Town. "Your home is being attacked Mayor."
Watching the globe Orion could see the chaos ensuing. It was like watching a live overhead footage. Orion could see small people like ants running about the town. From here he could not tell who the enemy was, The Mayor was on his feet. "Why was I not told of this?! What of the police force?! What are we doing sitting around here while my home is being destroyed!"
The King of Cornelia raised his hand. "Peace. I have sent some of my own army to Twilight Town to try and rescue as many citizens as possible. But we face a problem. There are undead attacking the city."
This time it was Orion's father who spoke up. "Necromancers!" Hacking up a wad of spit he spat it to the side as he said the word in disgust.
"Unless you defeat the necromancer, the undead will continue to rise." The Chief Elder informed them all.
Slowly returning to his seat and sitting down, there was a clear worried look on the Mayor's face now. The hologram in front of them all disappeared with a click this time allowing them all to see each other from across the table. "I do not think we can create a combined force. We have no idea what world they will attack next. Additionally if one of us were to send the majority of our troops somewhere that leaves them open to an attack. The Chief Elder is right. The number one concern is the Emperor. If we are to have a hope of stopping them, we must strike at the heart of the problem." King Lion, Orion's father, sighed. "You propose a strike team then." It was not a question.
King Richard nodded. "I think it is our best course of action."
The Mayor of Twilight Town was silent now. If Damien had glanced over at him, he would see there was only worry on his face now. Whatever deal he may have had with the Order of Destroyer, this was not what he had been expecting.
"Getting close to the Emperor will not be easy. Even when I combated the Lakari I only managed to prevent his onslaught. Ever since he attacked our home, I have been thinking about how he could be stopped. I believe there may be a way. I have reason to believe that there may be a weapon that could be of use to stop him in The Graveyard." The Chief Elder spoke of the place where the final battle was fought in the Great War. According to legend, the world had once gone by a different name.
King Lion rolled his eyes. "Bah! No offense elf, I don't think now is the time for a treasure hunt. The elf may be powerful, but his kind bleeds the same as we do. He may not age but he can die! I say we create this task force. I for one will send my best warriors. But how large should the strike team be?"
The Chief Elder replied, "If you are to send a task force I suggest ten warriors."
Agreeing the King of Cornelia added his opinion. "Then I suggest we get moving fast. I have two warriors that I think will be of sufficient."
"I want to go." The sudden female voice in the conversation cut everyone off. Even Orion was surprised. Turning his head he was surprised to see Amber on her feet. "I want to be on the task force!"

Aiden could see the other leaders look over at him in interest. He wasn't sure if this were a good thing or a bad thing. Instead, he merely continued. "I'm Aiden Wilder, sole surviving royal member of the royal family. Since my aunt and uncle died, my brother and mother along with them, it has fallen onto me now to rule what's left of Lad of Dragons. As you can see though, the world was turned into a wasteland in a matter of one night."
Kane looked over at Aiden with his brows raised. He hadn't expected the young teenager to speak up and in a manner that sounded like a king. Talking just seemed to come natural to Aiden. He didn't even notice the look that Kane was giving him, one of reverence. Aiden went quiet to let the others tel their stories and then telling his own. When Damien was next, Aiden had whispered to Orion, just like any typical younger kid would to an elder. Orion, on the other hand, shushed him.
"Aw, come on, you know he's ba-!" Kane gave Aiden a flat look that had quieted the young king. As soon as he had, Kane's expression returned to normal. There was a light of amusement in his eyes although he did his best to not show it. After the exchange between the Mayor of Twilight Town and Damien had calmed, the Elf Elder spoke. Damien simmered down a bit but he did watch the Mayor very closely after that.
As the Elf Elder spoke, Aiden and Damien both looked over at him. Orion, Damien and Aiden had all been there when it happened. Aiden took the attack that had been meant for the Elder and because of it, was forced to change into what he was now. Of course, none of them knew it was a natural change in him that had taken place. Aiden didn't really know what Dragoon's blood was like nor that it's what had awakened within him. Kane had heard stories of the Dragoon, Lance Wilder. However, considering the journey at hand and the conference, Kane hadn't had much time to talk with Aiden or the others.
When the Elder spoke, Rekka looked over at Amber quietly. It was clear that even Amber didn't know what was meant about Lakari's body being alive without the heart or soul. The image soon changed and there before them appeared Twilight Town. Damien gripped the chair as he saw how the attack was taking place on the world right now. It was like watching an army of swarming ants angered by some fool of an insect that dared to wander to close to the anthill. It wasn't at all easy to see who was foe and who was not. As the Mayor saw this, Damien watched him closely to try to gauge his true reactions. It really did look as though he were dismayed that his world was under attack. Surely nothing that he had bargained for.
It wasn't until King Lion mentioned Necromancers when the undead was said to be attacking the town that Rekka looked over at Amber again. Infusca had been a Necromancer. Amber and Rekka knew what it had been like in the Enchanted Domain. They were very prejudice toward them. Then, King of Cornelia stated that they couldn't create a combined force since it would leave the others open for attack. What they would need, as King Lion put it, was a strike team.
No one was willing to search The Graveyard for that weapon that was mentioned. Aiden wondered what it could be and where it could be found. Aiden didn't want to remain here like the leaders. His youth had a lot to do with it but another part of it had to do with the fact that he would rather fight than sit around and watch the battling going on without him while his friends fought for their lives. It wasn't long before the Chief Elder stated there should be ten warriors at least. Would that even be enough?
It hadn't been long until the King of Cornelia suggested that he already had two warriors in mind. Much to everyone's surprise, Amber got to her feet stating that she would go on the task force. Rekka looked over at her friend worriedly. What if Amber got hurt? She knew her friend was a likely better fighter than she but Rekka didn't want to lose Amber too. Getting to her feet as well, Rekka looked over at the King of Cornelia.
"If you will allow me, your majesty, I would also like to accompany my friend on this task force as well or at least accompany her. I may be a recruit compared to most of your warriors but I have been through a lot with Amber and where we have bad luck, we've always come trough it time and again."
Damien was surprised that both of the women were going to go. Were they insane? Damien knew this strike team wasn't going to accomplish much. The elf was too nasty for it. "...What do you two think we should do?" Damien asked Orion and Aiden as he looked over at them. This would decide where they all ended up.

The King of Cornelia was just as surprised as Orion to see Amber jump to her feet. Even Rekka rose to add that she would like to accompany them. The other leaders didn't speak in response, but they did turn to the King to see what his response was. "Third Lieutenant, I thank you for your service however..." The king began before Amber cut him off.
"I have every right to be on that task force! After everything he put us through we deserve to have a hand in taking him down! I've watched all my friends die because of that bastard! I don't care if he's my father he deserves to have..."
"He's your what?!" King Lion pounded his fist on the table with a bang and jumped to his feet!
Stunned into silence by the king's loud reaction, Amber blinked before fumbling for words. "Well um... that is... I'm the um..." Amber had made a serious blunder in revealing that. Although she had spoken as much in her story to the king, she had not included the information when she had reiterated her story to the leaders here. Keeping it short she had kept things focused on what had transpired on their journey.
It was the Chief Elder who rescued her. "Amber is not an enemy. Her mother fleed with her when she was a child to our kingdom. I have no reason to believe she has any ties to her father."
The King of Cornelia agreed. "Additionally I vouch for her time here in the kingdom. She has been an excellent soldier, Lion."
Reluctantly King Lion took his seat. "Regardless, this is more than enough reason to deny her request. She is too close to the Emperor. Who knows what hold he may have on her."
The king of Cornelia seemed to agree. "I am sorry Lieutenant, but I must agree. I thank you both for your offer, but this is better left to the elite soldiers. I will send two."
The Chief Elder responded next, "I have three who may be of assistance."
The Mayor replied, although reluctantly, that he had one man who might be suitable for the job. King Lion replied that he would send four.
"I think it be best that they leave now, don't you Richard? We must plan this attack, and it be best that only the strike team and we know the plan." King Lion said.
The mayor agreed. "I second."
The King of Cornelia turned to Orion, Damien, Amber, and Rekka. "I thank you for you help. Aiden I invite you to stay. You represent the Land of Dragons and as such have jurisdiction to be here according to law. I propose though that we take a short break. I know I for one need to stretch these old legs."
The other leaders seemed to agree so one by one they all walked out for a short moment. This left only their crew and the elvan Chief Elder, who had decided to stay. Orion hadn't had a chance to reply to Damien because he had been following their conversation, but he did so now. "Guess we'll have to figure that out now..." There would be no joining the task force it seemed.
"I actually could use your help..." The Chief Elder spoke up.
Orion turned towards him with a raised eyebrow as did Amber. She had been a bit angry about being turned down but now she was wondering just what the Chief Elder wanted. "The task force is not going to succeed. With a keyblade he is too powerful to fall into such a trap, regardless of how carefully calculated it may be. I think if we have any hope at stopping him, we need the weapon."
Amber replied first. "You spoke of that... What did you mean?"
The Chief Elder explained, "I've read in the record books there talk of an ancient weapon. It is said to be undestructable and carry with it the light that can combat the darkness. I believe it is a keyblade. Perhaps the only one left. The book spoke of it laying in the "hands of the spirit" in the ruins of the ancient castle on the Graveyard. Only a keyblade can combat a keyblade. If we are to have any hope in defeating Lakari that is what will be needed. I would send my own, but only Natalia would dare leave the world."
Orion glanced to Damien and Aiden, Amber to Rekka. What should they do?
