Traverse Town, it feels like an eternity that he had been to this sleepy word…. But no, in truth it wasn’t that long, not even half a year had passed. He was in the third district plaza this day ‘Or is it night?’ That was the problems with worlds that were in a perpetual state of night, day or in between, you can never really tell the time. Though, the citizens of the city seemed to have an acute sense of time, and likely they need it.
He was in the Third District Plaza for no particular reason; a simple walk was all it was. Still, it was a waste really…. Nothing to really do, he didn’t even really need to restock for his travels, not that he carried much with him. He rarely even needed to replenish his ammunition stock for the gun on his back, it wasn’t used that often, though he occasionally practiced with it. He pondered on opening a dark corridor, here and now, to travel to another world; as he had no use for the one he had currently stayed at. But for some reason, he could never stay away from worlds like Traverse Town for long ‘ Why is that, I wonder?”[/color] Was it the memories of his other influencing him? Was he simply driven to fill the void within his chest, the one where his heart used to be?
‘ Preposterous, I do not feel. What reason would I need to fill up the void? And what right do I have to a heart?’ He walked for some time, eventually simply stopping in front of the golden fountain where an image of two dogs, sharing the same string of spaghetti “Why must I bother myself with such nonsense” He said aloud to no one in particular, thinking himself alone. It really did not matter who heard in anycase, he might not stay long in this world after all.
‘There is no purpose to being here’

Mithi Hino had been in Traverse Town for quite a while now, in search of someone or something to further hir mission in becoming stronger. Lying on hir bed, staring at the ceiling in hir hotel room, ze breathed a bit of a sigh; it wasn't that ze was wavering or the like, but... it had been so long since ze'd found anyone to spend time with. Mithi missed the governor, and the few people ze talked to back home on Sekai no Beca.
Oh, since when did youdevelop some heart? ze wondered slightly bitterly as ze sat up straight and swung hir legs over the edge of the bed, rubbing an eye and standing up. If it was going to be one of those 'I-think-I'd-like-some-company-actually' moments - which only came occasionally, but were annoying when they did - then Mithi was just going to have to apply hirself to the mission fully and stamp that stuff out.
And so, ze walked out of the hotel and began the search for an opponent, to fight and learn from in the art of combat... again. There weren't many warriors in Traverse Town, so it was beginning to look like a kind of tall order.
Maybe I should go elsewhere if there's nobody to face in this world, Mithi thought to hirself, walking at a brisk pace through the town and looking around for anyone who wasn't just another townsperson. More like nobody of remote interest... I mean, this place is pretty and all, but it's so dull, ze lamented, arriving at the place ze now recognised at the 'Third District.'
Stopping in the plaza and having another look about, Mithi sighed quietly again. It didn't look like there was anybody here, and-- wait a second, hello, ze suddenly stopped upon noticing that there was actually someone ze didn't recognise walking not too far away. It looked like a man, tall - around the same height as Mithi, actually - and dressed in dark colours. Looks official... maybe some kind of soldier? Mithi thought, looking the guy over and sizing him up a bit.
“Why must I bother myself with such nonsense,” ze heard him say aloud as ze took a few steps closer.
Mithi looked over the guy's shoulder to try and get an idea of what 'nonsense' he was talking about. "Well, they do say dogs kissing is all the rage these days," ze said with a bit of a chuckle, folding hir arms and still not quite moving any closer to the man. "Provided that's the nonsense you're talking about, that is. I was just taking a shot in the dark..."
Mithi practically clapped a hand over hir face then, at the opening ze'd left for the the man to talk if he wanted to. Today really was one of those irritating days... Ze had to stop this someday. Talking and keeping company wasn't a part of hir life plan, and it never had been.

If Vouto could jump from surprise now, he would have, insread he turned his head to the new individual that seemed intent on speaking to the crqzy person mumbling to himself 'Though I prefer to think of myaelf as logical... even if my existance is nof, in fact, logical'. He looked the person over and... well, found her to be quite odd. The being before him looked like a female to a great degree, yet at the very same time was masculine. He didn't really know what he was dealing with. Still, as a traveler to other worlds he could barely xall it suprising, simply unusual. Her height was about the same as his, so he was pretty much face to face with the being.
" Ah, not quite thunking about the dogs kissing, miss. Though I do indeed think its nonesense He feigned a laugh as he shook his lightly, keeping up the false persona he had built up. He didn't want the loxals thinking he was a stiff after all, it payed to be able to portray your other sometimes. "Hmmm... I don't believe you're a local are you? I've never seen you before till now, and I've frequented this world more than I can count" .
He then moved his arms about in an exagerrated motion of disbelief " Oh, where are my manners? Allow me to introduce myself Miss. I am Vouto Cercatore" He gave her a false smile perfected through many hours of practice, yer there was an element of creepiness laced behind. It couldn't really be helped, false emotions are by nature creepy, it just depended on how will you can hide it.

Thankfully, the fella seemed pretty calm about the stranger talking to him out of the blue. As he looked hir over - which Mithi wasn't surprised about, since most people either weren't sure what ze was or just plain what to make of hir - Mithi looked him over in return. Judging by the hat on his head, which looked vaguely reminiscent of something worn by officers in some parts of hir world, and the footwear which, ze knew from experience, was standard-issue soldier wear, he really did seem to be some kind of military man... which didn't explain what he was doing staring at the Third District fountain.
"Ah, not quite thunking about the dogs kissing, miss. Though I do indeed think its nonesense"
Ah, so ze was 'miss' to this one, then. That was fine by hir; ze didn't honestly mind being 'miss' or 'mister,' or neither. The man laughed a bit, and Mithi did too out of politeness... and the fact that it seriously perplexed hir that someone in the world saw fit to immortalize the image of two dogs kissing over pasta. It was crazy.
Ze didn't have too much time to try and figure out why someone would actually do that, as the man - quite rightly - clocked that ze wasn't a local... before giving a very strange introduction, with a very strange arm movement.
Mithi frowned for a split second, before giving a smile which clearly didn't see that much use. "You're quite right, I'm not a local. I'm here on... business," ze eventually said, figuring that was as good an explanation as any. "Oh, and before I forget my own manners; I'm Mithi Hino." Ze was sure that there was meant to be a 'nice to meet you' at the end of that, but ze didn't want to seem over-friendly; however, ze did extend a hand for Vouto to shake if he wanted to.
Looking once again at the man's attire, Mithi - against hir better nature - decided to ask a question or so of hir own. "I've got to say, Mr... Cercatore, was it? I haven't seen you around either, and I've been here for at least the better part of a week now." Letting hir arms return to hir sides, ze ran a hand through the long side or hir hair. "Are you from, uh... 'out of town,' like I am?" ze asked, complete with inverted comma motions in the air with hir finger. Ze didn't exactly want to come out and ask 'are you from another world?' considering the fact that he may well have been a local here who ze just hadn't encountered yet. Silently, ze hoped he was a soldier from another world as he looked to be... At least then ze could try to pass that off in hir mind as the reason ze approached him.

Ah, so he was right in his deduction that she was no native of this world, and she took no offence to being called a miss… though he was unsure if that meant she acknowledged herself as such, but there was no need to trouble himself over a trivial detail. He nodded to her and listened as she told him of her name. Here on business ‘ And what business would that be, I wonder?’ He asked silently, from her wording it was clear she was no refugee from a lost world or anything similar to that fact. In fact it was quite clear that she came of a world that knew of others, which nowadays is not all that unusual ever since the Heartless invasion.
From the looks of her, she seemed to be trained militarily, similar to his other “”Hmmm… Yes, I am indeed not from here. For a lack of a better word, I am a traveler” Which in truth could be the best word to describe his lifestyle “ I’ve been to plenty of worlds, I’ve only returned here since yesterday. And you don’t need to use ‘quotations’ here miss, Traverse Town’s citizens are mainly off worlders themselves” He explained to her, very few did not know the purpose of Traverse town and those few were indeed first time travelers who rush blindly into the vast expanse between thousands of worlds in search of adventure ‘ And the Miss seems to be the same{/i]’
“so is there anything I can help you with?” He asked her in that friendly tone that had become second nature to him, though every time he used it it only caused him to feel alien. “ Feel free to ask me anything, I’m sure I have some bit of knowledge you might find useful”

Mithi listened to the man as he talked; apparently he was a traveller who had been around the worlds, and the people who lived in this town were mostly people from other worlds themselves. "Oh, I didn't know that, actually," ze said, eyebrows raised in slight interest. "I can't claim to be the most sociable person around, so I haven't exactly asked, you know?" ze chuckled a bit.
When he asked hir if there was anything he could help with, offering to answer any questions ze had, Mithi blinked; ze wasn't used to this kind of... hospitality, almost. "Well, I do have a couple of questions, I think," ze said, reminding hirself of hir mission at last. "I suppose the first would be: do you know of any strong fighters, or any worlds that have them? I'm on a bit of a mission to get stronger, you see..." ze trailed off before ze said anything ze shouldn't. Mithi would have liked to ask about Vouto himself, but ze was aware that getting too friendly and personal with people would likely not help matters.

A mission to gain strength? 'What foe?' Despite his curiousity as to why she had this mission, be it personal or otherwise, Vouto believed that all should at least learn enough to combat the various threats that threaten the world. He stood there pondering for a bit, the palm of his left beneath his chin whilst the elbow rested upon the palm of the right. " Hmmm, I suppose I myself I'm a strong individual. I know a tad bit of magic to keep me alive and my submachine gun has kept me alive thus far" He told her, only giving her half the truth of his skills. It was unlikely they would cross paths later, but if they ever were on opposing sides then it was best that she know as little as possible about him. He then crossed his arms and tilted his head to give the belief he was pondering some more " ... but for the truly strong, I can only advise that you seek them out. Thousands of worlds out there after all, so I can't give you a specifuc individual.... Though I can advise a place to start. Now what was that" he turned around, giving his back to her then turned to face her once more " Olympus Coliseum, that is perhaps the best place to find strong people"
Meanwhile as they spoke, in distant shadowy corner of the plaza, a few pairs of yellow orbs observed from the darkness. Their eyes set on the Wo(man?). There was a heart ready for taking....and they would be the ones to do it! But the predatory creatures would wait some more, yes, a prey cought off guard is a prey who will cause no trouble.
" Now, that was the first question. I assume you have another? "

Mithi listened to Vouto as he talked, eyes gleaming with interest as he mentioned being a 'strong individual' himself. Magic and guns, huh? Seems like this one's pretty much what I'm trying to be myself... ze thought, shifting hir weight and examining Vouto closely. The man went on, advising hir to seek out the truly strong on a world called 'Olympus Coliseum.'
"Now, that was the first question. I assume you have another?"
"A coliseum? I think we used to have those in the olden days," ze mused. Shaking hir head a bit, Mithi reminded hirself that this was not what ze was meant to be speaking about at the moment. "I think I'll take your advice and go that way once I'm done in this place... which, in all honesty, I don't think will take long," ze said, looking around the plaza for a moment before looking back to Vouto. "Quaint as it is, I don't quite think Traverse Town is the right place for a gun-wielding soldier on a mission, know what I mean?" Ze gave a bit of a chuckle.
Vouto's question - regarding hir own questions - came back to Mithi's mind, and ze thought for a moment. "Hm. I'm sure I do, but they don't come to mind at the moment." Looking around once more, Mithi became aware of strange... shining, yellow things in the darkness of a corner. "Actually, scratch that; here's one now. As someone who's learned more of this place than myself, could you tell me what in the heck that over there is?" ze pointed a finger in the direction of the yellow things, knowing nothing of what they were or what they intended to do.

"hmmmm? Oh, those are just heartless...." Vouto turned to look at the yellow eyes in the corner "Ah, yes. Heartless.....I believe you implied you tote guns, I think it time you revealed them miss Mithi" Following his own advice, Vouto reached inside his coat and behind his back to pull out his Submachine gun. Shadow Heartless began pouring out of the dark corners, all in all there were a dozen of the little buggers. They would be adorable looking things if they weren't acting so menacingly " Shadow heartless.... be careful, they like to sink into the ground" Vouto said as he aimed his gun and let out a burst at the first heartless, it staggered back a bit before getting hit by another burst before dissipating.
With his blades he could have taken them out easily, but he did not wish to summon them. No, if Mithi is proper with her skills with a firearm then there would be no need for him to reveal something he'd much rather keep secret, that's what the ace up the sleep should be after all. He fired another burst of at a couple of heartless, alternating his targets to make sure none would get too close, but one or two of the creatures suddenly flattened themselves to the earth, their shadow visages skittering about the surface and getting closer "Keep your distance from them! Go to the sides" They needed to get away from the corner they'd situated themselves for goodness sake. He rolled to the right then jumped back once or twice, firing another burst then switched magazines before resuming.
'best get cracking, Miss Mithi'

[OOC: Battle music with a fairly fitting name for two people using guns, if so you wish~] "Ah, yes. Heartless.....I believe you implied you tote guns, I think it time you revealed them miss Mithi""Heartless, huh," Mithi murmured, looking them over for the quickest moment before heeding Vouto's advice and throwing hir cape behind hir, drawing hir precious Dread and Naught from their holsters. More and more of them turned up, like they were just appearing from the walls... or the shadows. "Shadow heartless.... be careful, they like to sink into the ground"Mithi nodded once to Vouto to signal that ze got the message, before without warning one of the 'Shadow Heartless' took a jumping lunge towards hir. Thinking quickly, ze jumped to the side to avoid its nasty-looking claws and aimed Dread towards it, pulling the trigger and pumping the thing full of bullets. It twitched and - as Vouto had rightly warned about - sunk into the ground, moving along like an inky black shadow. "Bring it on, you creepy little bugger," Mithi hissed under hir breath, eyes slightly wide with excitement at the prospect of some real action. Watching it carefully - and its little friends in case they pulled a sneak attack - the soldier stayed on the move, with seemingly well-practiced movements. The Heartless jumped out of the ground again, blissfully not too far away from a group of two of them. "Oh, there you are," Mithi smirked, twirling Naught around hir finger and firing off a couple of shots at the two in the back and laying down the hurt with Dread's rapid-fire to the one in front. At last, the one in front seemed to disappear in a puff of black... something-or-other. Wasn't so tough, the soldier thought to hirself, as the two others sunk into the ground again and went who-knew-where. "Keep your distance from them! Go to the sides"Again, Mithi looked to Vouto for a moment, who was performing some pretty deft evasive maneouvers of his own. "Ten-four," ze said out of sheer instinct, watching for the two Heartless who'd sunk into the floor and taking some quick steps back. "Fight like men, you little..." ze mumbled, watching the ground and the Heartless who were actually visible at the moment. Seemingly growing some intelligence about themselves (as much as these dopey things could really display, at least,) a group of three Heartless slid over, one at either side of Mithi and one behind hir, before popping out of the ground and each jumping at hir. Mithi made a quick leap to avoid them - though ze did find out exactly how sharp those damn claws were, as the one behind hir managed to scratch hir back enough to draw a little blood - before laying into them once again with Naught's power and Dread's speed, finally sending the three little things to oblivion. "Keep tryin', little 'uns," Mithi smirked, before turning serious once more as ze turned towards all the rest of them. Keep your distance, remember, Mithi reminded hirself, watching carefully. Damn, it's hard to complain about this when it's so much fun...

“ They were once men…” Muttered Vouto as he was busy with his own swarm, unleashing another hail of bullets with his tempest, then jumped as one of the heartless lunged forward. Vouto retaliated by kicking its jaw with his left foot then bring the sole of his boot down to stomp on its shadowy body, finally unleashing a few bursts into its head. He glanced briefly over at Mithi and noted that one of the shadow’s had struck her slight, he’d need not use cure just yet.
And he had to admit, Mithi’s skill with firearms were quite exceptional and her customized pistols were equally impressive. However, like his Tempest, they were still regular firearms and they were wasting plenty of bullets. Their best hope was that this swarm was the only one, elsewise he’d be forced to reveal his skills 'how utterly distasteful' he thought as he emptied another magazine into a duo of shadows, yet he missed a third as it slashed at his left arm. leaving a deep cut in it. "Damnation!" He uttered as he instictively dropped his gun and flung out his arm and unleashed a wave of wind at the heartless, the compressed wind striking the creature and causing it to disperse , the remainder of the swarm staggered a bit and Mithi as will was caught yet thankfully she was well out of his damage radius and hopefully her quick action will keep her out of the push back radius. Still, he had to reveal a peace of skills...how distasteful.
"Cure" He said as a green light emitted from his palm and covered his body, sealing up the wound on his left and making it as good as new. He picked up his submachine gun and replaced the magazine once more and fired a stream of bullets at the staggered shadows "Are you alright Miss Mithi?"

One, two, three-- four shots from Naught and another Heartless down, and Mithi grinned as it vanished into nothingness. Reload quickly, rinse and repeat with another; thankfully down in another few shots. Quantity over quality much?
Two more of the things came slashing with their claws at hir legs, and Mithi rather gracelessly kicked one of them up into the air and fired mercilessly at it with hir Dread, laying into the other one with Naught. Down but not out, the two Heartless slunk away into the ground and seemed to retreat. The soldier took the time to reload Dread, while carefully watching for movement from the Heartless and--
"Damnation!"
"What?" Mithi asked on instinct, turning to face Vouto who had just dropped his gun and fired... something at the creatures. It seemed like he'd just attacked the things with the wind itself... so he really did know magic. That was interesting to say the least.
Before ze could get too taken away with the attack, a small group of the Heartless appearing from the ground not too far away caught hir attention, and ze automatically moved in to attack them, thankfully getting hir away from Vouto's attack. It didn't look like it'd be good to be on the wrong side of, that was for sure.
These things are getting aggravating, Mithi thought to hirself, eyes narrowed as ze shot at the Heartless. If only I had powers like that one over there, this would all be over by now...!
"Are you alright Miss Mithi?"
A question and the sound of a firing gun pulled Mithi from hir self-pity, and hir head momentarily turned towards Vouto. "Getting there," ze replied with a few more shots from Naught, finally dealing with one of the Heartless ze'd weakened earlier. "How's it going on your end?"

“Oh its going quite well really” He said as he fired a few more shots, the swarm nearly vanquished “ Between wasting plenty of bullets shooting these Neanderthals and just how long it takes to kill one, I’d say all’s right” His voice dripped with sarcasm. If he weren’t so stubborn about keeping his abilities secret, he had already revealed a bit of his magic….. He need not reveal more till desperation hit and it did not seem like it would.
Ah, but as the old saying goes: ‘Don’t count your chicken’s before they hatch’. The remaining shadow heartless looked, while practically vanquished, were but the appetizer prior to the main course. As if from nowhere soldier heartless emerged with their goofy armor and menacing claws whilst accompanied by the their flying cousins.
“DAMNATIONS! Miss Mithi, I advise that you make a hasty retreat from the area” Warned Vouto as he dropped his Tempest to the ground, all falsehoods dropped from his face “ I am afraid that you will be unable to handle these infantile creatures.”

[OOC: Gosh, sorry about the wait on this one; stupid internet went down for a couple days, but it's sorted now!]
Mithi smirked a bit at Vouto's comments, giving a quiet chuckle as ze quickly sidestepped around one of the Shadows as it lunged and slashed at hir shins, giving it a swift boot to the head before ze reloading hir guns. The thing went skidding forward and landed on its feet - so maybe these 'Heartless' were like cats that way? - before--
--out of nowhere, a group of different-looking creatures appeared, some flying in the air and some on the ground, all making strange 'clanking' noises like they were made out of metal.
The smirk dropped from Mithi's face as ze thought about just how much ammo ze had left, now slightly worried. The things were small, but they seemed to be in armour which could have been hard to shoot through...
“DAMNATIONS! Miss Mithi, I advise that you make a hasty retreat from the area”
Mithi turned with slightly offended eyes to face the man as he spoke, before frowning a bit; his demeanour had changed... he seemed more serious, and his weapon lay on the ground yet he didn't seem concerned about it.
“I am afraid that you will be unable to handle these infantile creatures.”
The soldier wanted to be affronted and offended, but... Vouto knew more about these creatures than ze did, and ze was - whether ze liked it or not - still very weak at the moment. After looking up for a moment and giving a sigh, Mithi looked back to Vouto. "...Don't get yourself killed, alright?"
That said, ze took the man's advice and ran from the battle, holstering hir guns with nothing but a sense of failure and a scratch left behind. Mithi headed towards the Second District of the sleepy town, hoping there would be no more Heartless there to remind hir of how painfully weak ze yet was.

"I assure you... I will not give them the end of my existance" Vouto said as watched her leave then switched his attention to the beasts before him. Soldiers.... he supposed he should have felt irritation that such creatures were called that, but in truth there was no better word to describe them 'Though one would suppose Grunt would fit..' But then shunned these musing temporarily as one awkwardly ran forward and perform its signature flip kick. He stepped back to avoid it and gave the creature a blank stare, he raised the palm of his right hand forward and unleashed a torrent of air spheres. The fist sized projectiles blurred the space they traveled through as they struck the soldiers, it took 3 spheres to defeat the first that stood in its way, so did the second and third that were directly behind it. But the fourth survived as only one struck as it gained the bright idea to move away, with only one 'bullet' grazing it.
Keeping his palm up, wind gathered then proceeded to expand into a long staff like shape then dispersed and in its place was left a long grip with two cloud white sabres occupying both ends. He lowered the weapon and waited for the creatures to attack, swaying back and forth lightly as if he was going to move at any moment. The first soldier came at him, swiping at him with its claws. In response Vouto jumped back a bit and lunged forward, the tip of the blade piercing through the creatures helmet and emerging from the back, dispersing it into darkness and then another of its kin followed as an Air Soldier descended with its fists outward, ready to slam into Vouto only to be sliced in two as Vouto lowered himself slightly and rotated his weapon forward.
He spun his weapon around then moved forward into the center of the swarm, swinging his weapon at one of the soldiers. Fortune favored it as it stumbled on its back, avoiding the blow while another soldier got the brunt of as its attempt to attack from the rear failed when the rear blade was shoved through its torso.
The creatures were persistent despite the rapid decline of their current numbers. Vouto supposed it was for the best that they focused on him rather than go after their quarry, at least it showed that they knew it was best to deal with the primary thread then to go after their meal.
"...I wonder if there is any mushroom cream soup at the restaurant today" Voiced the Wind Elemental as he spun to the side whilst an Air Soldier flew past him, then raised his blade in an upward slash against one soldier and impaled another with the second blade "I suppose I'll find out later"
~Some time later~
"Finally....this nuisance is done" Said Vouto as he leaned upon his weapon, using it for support as the battle was more tiring than he had expected "foul creatures... if only they didn't resort to summoning reinforcements so often" His clothing was in tatters, a slash mark upon his chest and his coat practically ripped in half from the bottom. If his hair were longer it would have been quite the mess. Vouto sighed as he raised the palm of his hand in exaggerated exasperation and cast curaga upon himself, the green glow of the magic enveloping him and healing most of the damage done to him by the creatures. He was thankful though, despite the numbers of this particular swarm there seemed to be no leader.
He made his way to the second district, now simply wondering which area had that soup he was hoping for....

Staring firmly at hir boots, the battle flashed repeatedly through Mithi's mind leaving conflicted feelings; on one hand, ze had enjoyed the battle greatly and no doubt gained a little experience from it, not to mention bear witness to some skills that were certainly different than the norm... but ze had also been weak, and run from combat. More to the point, ze had been so weak that someone ze had known for such a short space of time could so easily see that ze was too weak to take the creatures on... Fists clenched, the soldier closed hir eyes and drew a deep breath through hir nose, anger and upset welling up in hir heart.
Just let it go, Mithi thought as ze wandered around on a slow lap around the district, earning a few strange looks from bypassers but paying them no attention. Then again, it was easy to tell hirself to 'let it go,' but not so easy when ze had a mission to complete for hir boss...
Leaning against the wall beside the window of a shop, the soldier wiped hir eyes and sighed a bit. I bet he's not even grateful for what I do, ze thought with a dark look to hir eyes, before they widened and ze practically gasped aloud. Had ze actually had a bad thought about the governor? That had never, ever happened before. Placing a hand over hir face, Mithi groaned a little bit; ze must have been tired or something like that... though, it was a true thought. He probably didn't give a damn about what ze did or what ze felt as long as his bidding was done at the end of it.
Loyalty, huh, the soldier thought with a bitter kind of smirk, arms folded as ze began to walk again. Gets you nowhere, but nets you a hell of a lot of pain...
Trying hard to banish those thoughts, Mithi looked over as ze walked - having managed to circle back to the door leading to the Third District - and noticed the man from the battle. Vouto, was it? He didn't look to be hurt, and that was a good thing at least... "'Infantile creatures' dealt with, I take it?" ze called conversationally, not really intending on stopping long since ze imagined Vouto and hirself both had other things to do; this 'Olympus Coliseum' sounded like a good place to seek strong people. And a good place to go and leave the sting of retreat behind to boot.

Vouto glanced at her and nodded as they continued walking " Yes, thankfully so. I do believe I've had quite enough of the third district to last me a century" He said to her as he looked back to glance at the torn tails of his coat. He supposed he should be satisfied to be alive, though it did mean he'd like need a new shirt and coat "I do believe you have more questions to be asked, Ms. Mithi. I am about to go dine at the cafe in the first district, if you wish to learn more from me then I do suggest you meet me there" He imagined that she did indeed have more questions, to be strong means to know more after all and to ask questions is a method of gaining strenght.
Though there was a personal agenda hidden within that invitation for a Q&A, it was simply a method of killing too birds with one stone; he really just wished to eat some food and if Mithi was the type not to intrude, then she might badger him with questions at a later date ' I have no intention of being badgered with questions later...' In fact, he would have likely traveled to another world as soon as he could, so he supposed preparing the blind for whats up ahead would be the correct thing to do, it was what his other would do in anycase, which meant he had to too if he wished to keep up the display.

Mithi chuckled at Vouto's comment about the Third District as ze walked with him, though it sounded rather empty to hir ears. Running a hand through the long side of hir hair, ze tried to shake off the damn angst that leaving that battle had left; there was no point, it was destined to happen since ze'd never encountered anything like that before, hir boss - damn boss who doesn't deserve me, a voice in hir mind which was quickly bashed aside muttered - wouldn't want hir moping about...
"I do believe you have more questions to be asked, Ms. Mithi. I am about to go dine at the cafe in the first district, if you wish to learn more from me then I do suggest you meet me there"
Upon hearing his voice, Mithi looked to Vouto and nodded. "Right." In truth, ze didn't have anything else to do - other than brood but that didn't count - in this little town, but there was something about the wording in the phrase 'meet me there' that seemed to imply that Vouto didn't want company on the way there. No problem to me; last thing I want is to get too sidetracked anyhow,
However, as ze looked about hirself... ze very soon saw there really wasn't anything else to do. Dammit. "As it goes, I really don't have anywhere else to be. If it's alright with yourself, I'll accompany you there," Mithi said, staring firmly ahead before glancing to Vouto; ze wasn't much with conversation, and ze felt slightly awkward about relying on someone ze didn't know - who wasn't a superior - for guidance and answers. However, needs must and all that, so ze busied hir mind by thinking of the things ze could learn from this man.

"No trouble at all" He supposed, soon they found themselves sitting at one of the tables in the corner, it was a bit private and not many people were there in anycase. In truth even if there were there was nothing 'private' to speak of. Vouto was enjoying the mushroom cream soup he'd been desiring for the last half hour or so, to his physical senses it was quite enjoyable especially since the soup came in a bowl made of bread, which added to the experience. Without asking for Miss Mithi's ok he had also ordered for her such a dish, whither she liked it or not was for her to say.
Vouto, while his body enjoyed the taste, had to recreate the emotion of enjoying the meal. A small grin was plastered on his face, not creepy but still odd, as if it did not belong there " So Miss Mithi, permit me my own questions... How do you think you did against the Heartless?" In truth Vouto thought she did rather well, truth of the matter was she was a soldier; Her skills with her firearms said so as much, on the melee front he still needed much more to see! However.... despite that, there was a cold truth 'She was far from ready'

Mithi looked around the café which Vouto had led the way to; it was small and quiet, much like the rest of Traverse Town, fittingly enough. Sitting down, silently pleased that Vouto had taken care of the ordering since ze knew nothing about this establishment or what it had to offer, ze found hir eyes wandering over to the window near where they sat.
As ever, Traverse Town was busy in its strange, quiet little manner. The occasional person wandered by on their way to wherever else, a few people went by talking to their friends or partners... Strange to think they've all lost their homes, the soldier thought to hirself, turning hir attention back to the table as the soup arrived. Always someone who has it worse off than yourself, Mithi thought as ze picked up hir spoon and brought it to the soup, taking solace in that fact.
It was a strange colour, that much was for sure, and ze wasn't used to bowls made of bread so ze wasn't quite sure what to do with that, but the soup was actually quite delicious so Mithi didn't complain. For a moment, hir eyes flickered over to Vouto; he certainly looked pleased about it... though much like earlier, there was something just a bit strange about that smile. Not that it was odd or out of place, there was just something a touch strange about it. Not that there's any such thing as 'normal' anyways, I suppose.
Mithi returned hir attention to hir meal, eating another few spoonfuls before the sound of Vouto's voice caught hir attention.
" So Miss Mithi, permit me my own questions... How do you think you did against the Heartless?"
How did ze think ze did? Mithi thought for a moment, placing hir spoon down and looking to the table as ze did so. "I'm not going to say I did great," ze eventually said as ze looked back to Vouto. "I held my own and I'm not wounded or the like, but I know I could've done better. And even then, that was only against those little things. If it were anything bigger, or stronger..." The soldier trailed off then, not wanting to actually say the rest. I would've been in trouble, if it were.
Clearing hir throat and trying not to dwell too much on that thought, Mithi tried to think of something else to say that wasn't a question... though it seemed like all the things ze had in mind ended in a question mark. "You must be pretty used to those 'Heartless' things, if you knew right away that I wouldn't be able to take them," ze said after a short pause. "Have to deal with them often, do you?"
It occurred to hir that ze didn't actually know what a Heartless was, or why they randomly attacked others... or how they were 'once men,' as ze vaguely recalled hearing Vouto say in the midst of the battle. The thought brought a bit of a cringe to Mithi's face. Man, is this poor man going to regret letting me ask him questions by the time we're done, ze thought.
