'Ah, a good sign!' She was honest about her abilities, indeed she would have died a horrible death... or more likely have her heart stolen by a heartless and thus become one herself 'With a certain chance to become a nobody like myself' For her to admit to that mean she wasn't arrogant, or at least not quite so, combined witht he fact she wished to become stronger meant her path would be a little easier.
He shook his head as if a head ache was about to come on in response to her own question regarding to how many times he'd dealt with the heartless. In truth, the heartless rarely targeted him, not having a heart made that quite the advantage despite the literal void he constantly felt. But despite that, he did indeed face quite the number and that was usually through defending other people in situations where he had to help other people to keep up appearances....and also in situations where he could have left other people to die without worry of the truth about himself being revealed, he just chocked that up to the memories of his other.
"Far too often, unfortunately. Heartless come in all shape and size miss Mithi" He looked down at his bowl of bread, the soup having been consumed and what remind of it soaked into the bread itself, as such he broke a piece and ate it. He looked back at the Miss and said "Of the dangers found in most worlds, the heartless can be the most numerous. But of course, there are others...not just the heartless." He took another piece and tossed it in his mouth, he chewed it very little before swallowing it " So, shall I wait for you to finish your soup before we begin this Q&A properly, Miss?"

Mithi nodded slowly as Vouto informed hir about Heartless coming in more varieties. Ze gave a bit of a sigh that ze hoped wasn't too noticeable; ze thought ze'd done alright against the Shadows, considering ze didn't even know what they were and how many of them had arrived at once, but the thought of anything bigger or stronger was... uncomfortable, to say the least. Strange as it was, ze found hirself taking note on how the man was eating the remains of his food; breaking pieces of the bread off and eating them, once the soup was finished. So that was what to do with it...
"Of the dangers found in most worlds, the heartless can be the most numerous. But of course, there are others...not just the heartless."
Oh, come on! Mithi thought to hirself, a frown creasing hir forehead; there were more things to worry about than these Heartless? Proud as ze could be about hir skills - ze knew ze wasn't the greatest fighter around but ze reckoned ze was better with a gun than the average Joe - even Mithi was beginning to feel somewhat deflated at the prospect.
At Vouto's question, the soldier blinked; ze had almost forgotten ze even had soup left, what with wondering what other kinds of Heartless there were and what else there may have been out there. "Whatever works for you's fine by me," ze replied, putting the spoon back to the soup and eating another spoonful. "Though, I've got to say that I'm... let's say 'surprised.' The naïve part of me actually thought the Heartless were the only problems I'd come up against," ze gave a wry chuckle, before eating a bit more. The word for what ze was feeling was more 'depressed' or 'totally dreading this,' but 'surprised' did the job well enough.
"Oh," Mithi suddenly said, wiping a stray drop of soup from hir chin, "I forgot to say earlier. If you have any questions you wanna ask me, you're more than welcome to, since you've been so helpful to me. Not that I reckon you'll have any but the offer still stands." That said - and a slightly awkward-looking smile given - the soldier returned to hir meal, hoping to get it over hir throat quickly so ze could turn hir full attention to asking those questions.

Hmmm....did he have questions about her? For a moment he pondered on that, he supposed the most logical questions was to ask where she was from and where she received her training, there was no harm in himself divulging of his 'own' world. He would not ask those now however, best to focus on the task at hand then allow pleasantries once they were done. So he simply gave her a nod and focused on her words about the heartless "Understandable I suppose, often enough it may seem like that to certain individuals but the truth of it is that many worlds hold their own dangers, and the universe is not so small that it would have no dangers other than the heartless" He broke off another piece from his bowl and tossed it into his mouth, chewing it for a bit before swallowing it.
"Heartless are often the byproducts of such dangers truly, the ones who are drowned in emotions such as sorrow, hate, rage, greed and all such ugly things. These emotions tend to grow and fester till they consume the heart and thus the terrible beings known as heartless are born...." He told her calmly, no hint of emotion as took another piece and tossed it into his mouth.
"That is how a heartless is born naturally, but heartless have a more efficient way to bolster their numbers... You see, Heartless yearn for hearts. Strong hearts, as you can quite easily imagine, are more preferred than the common ones though they aren't picky. They merely need to steal an individuals heart, quickly 'consume' it and thus another heartless is born" He chuckled, one quite intentionally empty as pushed his plate aside, crossed his legs and placed his hands on his lap.
"Like a virus, they can spread so quickly and malevolently that if not careful they'll have outnumbered you 100 to 1. Even more disheartening is that while can be Vanquished, they cannot be killed. To vanquish them even with magical means only a temporary victory, as they simply slumber and awaken at a later date" He shook his head as if dismayed by these thoughts and logically he could admit that he was "They are, in a sense, near immortal creatures"

The creatures were naturally born of the 'darker' of human emotion and impulse taking over a 'heart.' They stole other people's 'hearts' and ate them to reproduce. And worst of all was that they didn't die... Mithi continued eating slowly as ze listened to Vouto, far more interested in the explanation than the soup by this point. "Well then, if that doesn't make a person feel hopeful then I don't know what will," ze said with a great deal of sarcasm, chuckling a bit as ze placed hir spoon down, the soup in the bowl of bread finished at last. "I'll have to steer clear of those things if I'm to go to any other worlds, then. I might not be the worst gunner around but even I know I've got a lot to learn." The comment was mumbled rather absentmindedly and more towards hirself than Vouto, as ze stared out the window and tried to think of a course of action. I've got to seek out the strong to teach me what to do, unfortunate as that is, ze thought, not at all used to conversing with other people and so not entirely fond of it yet.
Mirroring Vouto's earlier actions, Mithi broke part of the bread bowl off and put it in hir mouth, chewing it a little. It was nicer than it looked and the soup had made it warm and soggy in a strangely pleasant manner, so ze didn't complain. Ze continued eating the bread as ze thought of any more questions to ask hir newfound 'teacher,' as it were (and gave a near silent chuckle at the thought that ze had somehow managed to find a teacher after going for a random stroll.) Surprisingly enough, none seemed to arise; ze couldn't think of anything about the Heartless they hadn't covered and ze didn't want to ask about the man himself for the simple reason that getting too personal hardly ever benefited anyone. For a moment, Mithi thought that perhaps it was time to research this 'Olympus Coliseum' place and depart...
"Well, if the Heartless are immortal creatures, I'll just have to make myself the next best thing to that, then," the soldier finally said to the man opposite hir, flashing a smile even though ze was more than sure that hir claim was an impossible feat. Ze would let hirself dream just this once though... "And with any luck on my side, I can learn a thing or two at this Coliseum you mentioned earlier. I finally have something even vaguely resembling a 'game plan' after, what, a week of being here?" Again, Mithi gave a bit of a laugh, somewhat wishing hir happy state didn't make hir so talkative. Ze didn't imagine that Vouto didn't care about whatever it was ze was going to do, since it didn't concern him.
After eating a bit more, Mithi cleared hir throat. "I should probably say this now before I forget. Thanks a lot for all your assistance, Vouto. I'd probably still be in that hotel with absolutely no knowledge at all if I hadn't happened across you in the plaza," ze said in a slightly matter-of-fact manner.

Vouto put on a soft smile and nodded to her "There is no need for thanks Miss Mithi, i am simply performing my duty" He put on his best modest tone "I do have some advice though if you intend to go world hopping" He raised an index finger as if he were some lecturer, which quite frankly it seemed like he was already " Since you will be 'world hopping' for lack of a better term, its best to know that many worlds tend to have their own little rules, don't be surprised if you go to one world and notice some... changes" He didn't wish to clarify that part, in truth experience was the best teacher in that regards and who was he to deny such a thing? 'I'm sure she wouldn't mind'
"And on the topic of worlds, many of them differ in their eras of time. I do believe Olympus is one of those worlds where gunpowder is yet to exist, nor the concept of firearms, so I'd advise you come up with some creative tale on how you obtained such 'fire spewing weapons' " The last part was more of a hint really, it was quite easy to make up a believable lie on that world. A pair of pistols could be easy considered a gift from the gods or some design of a mad tinkerer left to be discovered.
"Oh, and forgive me if this is personal Miss Mithi, but curiosity has overtaken me in this regard... But what world do you hail from?" He told himself he may as well ask, if only to appear more human. At the very least it offered a possible destination for him to visit if he were ever to decide on such a thing.
