In a flash, they were there. Amaya blinked and looked around slowly after releasing Arin's hand. They were at the beginning of an old town. Amaya had recognized it the moment she had set her eyes on it. Few people walked the streets as Amaya quietly lead the way into town. None of the faces belonged to her grandparents. However, those she saw, were familiar. Some were old neighbors. Some, old childhood friends.
Amaya greeted anyone that looked her way, and they did the same. "It has been a long time, Amaya. Where's Asami?" called a voice. Amaya turned to find a an no older than she was.
"Ah, Jin." Amaya gave a nod of her head before gesturing toward Arin. "Asami's...away right now. Anyway, this is my friend, Arin, here." Jin looked over at Arin, smiled and nodded in greeting.
"Pleased to meet you. Anyway, if you happen to come across Asami, Amaya, let her know that my brother's looking for her. See you around!" With that, Jin scurried off on whatever business he had to attend to. Amaya just shook her head as he went. Only then did she realize that Arin had no idea who Jin was or his brother. She turned to him with a shrug.
"Jin's is my sister's boyfriend's younger brother." Already, Arin could probably guess there might be yet more people here to tell about Asami and the other warriors. After gesturing for Arin to follow her, Amaya set off down a dirt road.
"Grandma and grandpa live in the large building at the outskirts of town. We're almost there." Not that big of a surprise considering how small this town was. It looked like a backwater sort of town. On top of it, there were hardly any cars in sight. Eventually, an old and ancient looking structure came into view as they neared where Amaya said they were. No doubt, this was the home of her grandparents. Amaya came to a slow stop.
"Er...don't be surprised...if I end up grounded for the rest of my life..." With that, Amaya tentatively continued onward. As they did so, an elderly man stepped out from an arc in a worn and ivy riddled stone wall. The stone wall was what surrounded the building like a kind of fence. He held himself up with a walking stick. Squinting over at them, the old man took a moment to realize who they were before letting out a shocked gasp.
"A-Amaya? Is that...you?"
"Of course it is, grandpa, who else would it be?" Amaya said. Being greeted by her grandfather first seemed to ease Amaya's nerves some as she walked right up to him. The old man pulled her into a tight hug.
"Amaya, we thought something had happened to you!" Then, as he looked over, he spotted Arin. "...Dante has slimmed down in muscle and changed his hairstyle, hasn't he?"
Amaya let out a chuckle despite herself. "No, gramps, that's a new friend. His name's Arin." Amaya's grandfather eyed Arin for a short moment before smiling warmly at him.
"Ah, well, welcome, young lad. Nice to meet you. I'm glad that Amaya's made a new friend. Why don't you two come inside? I'm sure your grandmother will be delighted to see you, Amaya." Amaya noticeably grew tense as she gave a nervous nod. Her grandfather didn't seem to notice as he turned around and headed back over to a large wooden sliding door. Opening it, the old man went inside. Amaya took a deep breath before looking over at Arin.
"Well, here goes nothing." With that, she headed in after her grandfather. Once inside, Arin would see how old fashioned the home was. Instead of chairs, they had pillows on either side of their table which was low to the floor. Amaya's grandmother wasn't in sight as her grandfather ushered them over to the table and gestured for each of them to take a seat before going to fetch Amaya's grandmother. There was a tense silence.

Arin nodded when Jin greeted them, smiling softly "It's nice to meet you, take care." When Amaya explained just who Jin was, he grew silent "…I see…" He knew right then, that they may have more to do in this world than he originally thought, but he would have to make a decision on whether or not to convince Amaya to do that after they had done their business with her grandmother.
Amaya went on to explain that her grandparents lived in the outskirts of town, and he couldn't help but chuckle "For such a small village, it's not too surprising…No offense." He followed Amaya all the way to the house. When Amaya mentioned possibly being grounded for the rest of her life, he patted her shoulder reassuringly "I'm sure I'll find a way to bail you out, I've survived this long on my own, and learning to pick my words carefully was a pretty handy tool."
He eased his hand off of Amaya's shoulder when he realized they weren't alone in the yard, and he stepped back to let the old man get reacquainted with his granddaughter. When the elderly man greeted him, he bowed respectfully "It's a pleasure to meet you too sir." He was glad that Amaya was at least a little bit at ease after meeting her grandfather first, he must have been the kinder of the two. He followed Amaya and her grandfather into the house.
When he entered the house, he felt almost…Nostalgic, in a way. The hose was very old fashioned, and it reminded him somewhat of his home. The comforted smile on his softened expression was probably something Amaya hadn't seen since first meeting him, he almost looked vulnerable on an emotional standpoint. Arin sat down on his knees beside Amaya, his usual relaxed, yet cheerful and energetic expression was back as he patted Amaya's knee softly, before placing them on his lap "Just try and stay calm, and try and stay positive. I'm sure it won't be all that bad."

Amaya knew as soon as Arin had grown silent that he had to have been thinking on exactly what else Amaya may have to deal with. No doubt, Amaya may end up with enemies here at home. As they made their way, she heard him state that it wasn't that much of a surprise to hear her home was on the outskirts of town. Letting out a soft chuckle, she glanced over at him. "Hey, watch it!"
When they reached her home, Amaya was nervous. Ai would not be so kind. The grandfather was the kinder one of the two. As Arin placed a hand on her shoulder, she looked over at him as he told her that he would bail her out. "Heh, my grandmother would ground you too." She meant it even though she smiled a bit at what he said. Then, they met Amaya's grandfather. How she had missed her grandpa. He was the kinder soul.
It was good to see that her grandfather didn't mind Arin's presence. Ai, on the other hand, might be more of the issue. When her grandfather lead them inside, Amaya sat down quietly. As she glanced over at Arin, he seemed like he was at ease, even comforted for some reason. As he gave her a pat on the knee, Amaya didn't say anything. He had no idea what they were going to be dealing with.
"AMAYA FUKUI!" Immediately, Amaya shrunk low to the floor, her eyes just barely making it over the table top in her fright. Ai Fukui wasn't very tall but she had that commanding, intimidating vibe about her as she placed her hands on her hips. Amaya's grandfather was rubbing the back of his head, laughing nervously. Yet, he knew better than to try and calm his wrathful wife as she glared down at her youngest grand daughter.
"H-Hello...g-grandmother!" Amaya greeted her, tentatively sitting up slowly in attempts to try and alleviate the situation but Ai wasn't smiling. She may have been old and withered but those eyes were fiery. Amaya swallowed hard when Ai didn't say anything.
"Where have you been all this time? HM?!" Ai demanded.
"Th-That's wh-what we came here to tell you!" Amaya said, her tone obviously nervous. Ai then turned toward Arin, her expression hardening as she scrutinized him.
"And just WHO might you be, young man?" Uh oh, the questions began! Amaya looked nervously from her grandmother to Arin and back. Just what questions would she ask Arin? Amaya had a bad memory of how she bombarded Asami's boyfriend and Jin. This was not going to end well at all. Maybe Amaya should just find a rock to crawl under and hide?

Arin flinched slightly when he heard Amaya's grandmother shouting like an authoritarian, and remained silent as she and Amaya exchanged words. He had not expected such an elderly woman to have such a powerful demeanor. Yen Sid he could understand, the wizard was wise, and still healthy enough to cast powerful magic. But this woman, even after discarding her armor, must clearly still be just as intimidating as when she had the armor all those years ago.
Then, the intimidating woman's eyes fell on him, and he tried to stay as calm as possible, which wasn't as easy as he had thought. When asked for his name, and who he was, he didn't waste time answering "A-Arin, Mrs. Fukui…Arin Delas. I'm a new acquaintance of your granddaughter's." Arin bowed his head respectfully to Amaya's grandmother, trying to give as much respect as he could, to try and ease the old woman's fiery temper, hopefully without trying to be obvious about it.
Somehow, he just knew he was in for one hell of an interview.

Amaya hadn't been over exaggerating when she said that Arin shouldn't be surprised if she wound up grounded for the rest of her life. Even if Ai were shorter than the youngsters were in stature due to her age, it hadn't made her any less intimidating. As for her time during the armor, it was a wonder how she ever came across someone like their grandfather.
When Ai's eyes fell on Arin, Amaya felt herself shriveling up inside for fear of the questions that she might ask of Arin. Ai rose a brow at Arin as he introduced himself. Where her demeanor was less aggressive toward Arin, since he was a stranger in the home, it wasn't that much less. Even Arin was nervous in responding to the old lady's question. While Ai started to question Arin, Amaya's grandfather nervously busied himself with the kitchen. After this interrogation, both kids were going to need some sort of sustenance afterward. Ai's bombardments were rather taxing.
"Hmph, new acquaintance indeed!" Ai scoffed as she went and took a seat across from them, her eyes still boring into poor Arin. If Amaya didn't know any better, her grandmother reminded her of a predatory animal with the way she was peering at Arin now. Amaya wanted to bring a palm up to her forehead with the way Arin had described himself. If he had just said his name, it might've been less serious. Still, Arin was being honest. He was a new acquaintance heading toward friendship but her grandmother likely wouldn't see it that way. Amaya couldn't do that though. If she did, her grandmother might get more aggressive with her.
'Just kill me now before this can get any worse!' Amaya thought.
"And just how old are you, sonny? Ai followed up with that. If Amaya didn't think the questions were going to get worse, she was wrong. Already, she could see it getting worse as Amaya tried to look for something to do. ANYTHING would be appreciated at this point. As Amaya spotted her grandfather busying himself, Amaya made to get up go and help him. In doing so, her grandmother turned on her.
"SIT DOWN, I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET!" the old woman snapped. Amaya looked at her with wide eyes, surprised and sat back down without protest. Nope, it looked like Amaya would have to sit through this embarrassing session. When Amaya had seated herself again, Ai's attention returned to Arin.

Arin wasn't too surprised when Amaya's grandmother didn't calm down, he took a shot in the dark and it failed. So he was going to have to be direct with his answers
"…Nineteen, Ma'am…Almost twenty…" He was looking at Ai as she was questioning him. But when she snapped at Amaya for trying to get up, he had to suppress the urge to start snapping back. He had seen crotchety old people in the past, but he had never seen someone as mean and as much like a tyrant as this woman. He wanted yto say something, but he bit his tongue, not wanting to offend the elderly woman, or worse, piss her off.

Amaya could only watch warily as Ai questioned Arin about how old he was. She remained quiet, unsure what to do now except witness impending doom. Well, not literally. Her grandmother wouldn't kill them. She was furious, of course, but it was ebbing. Amaya hoped that her talk with Arin would lessen it some. Still, she couldn't help but feel as if she were walking on eggshells right now. Her grandmother was going to ask something embarrassing. She had done it before. That would be Amaya's doom. If only she could just shrivel up and die right now!
Ai studied Arin carefully. He was well mannered from what she could see. He was a bit younger than Amaya. He didn't like the way she had snapped at Amaya. Honestly, Ai was upset with her and Asami for leaving for a year and a half. Just what had those girls been up to with their friends? Now, here was Amaya with this Arin boy. What was an old lady to think?
"Dear, yelling at Amaya is not going to do your health any good. I know you are upset but...here, try some tea." Amaya's grandfather had returned, placing a tea cup in front of his wife first and then gave Amaya and Arin each their own before seating himself down and taking his own.
Ai turned her gaze on her husband with a disapproving look but she seemed to have calmed enough to sit back in her seat. "...Robbing the cradle." It wasn't even clear if Ai was speaking to them, Amaya or Arin when she said it despite looking at Arin carefully.
"Can you fight? If so, what weapon do you prefer?" It was an odd question. Amaya didn't even know where her grandmother was going with this. Never the less, this couldn't be good. Ai didn't plan on challenging him to a spar or something, did she? No, Ai was much too old to do that now. She might have driven Asami and Amaya hard during their younger years but she never really sparred with them once they really got the hang of things.

Arin's expression didn't change when Ai was studying him, but when Amaya's grandfather came in with some cups of tea, he thanked the elderly man with a nod of his head and a smile, before he took a sip. The tea definitely did some good, it helped calm his rise in temper from Ai's outburst at Amaya.
Then Ai asked if he was able to fight. He laughed inside, of course a former Dragoon warrior would have asked this question, but he didn't expect the question about his weapon of choice. He reached into his pockets and set two blameless sword handles on the table, leaving them there if Ai wished to inspect them "I normally prefer dual wield sword style, and a couple of spells when I need them. But this pair are only really effective against anything but Heartless. I have a more effective weapon for when they show up."
He tapped the pauldron on his shoulder and the obsidian ring around his left wrist "I also have some defensive contingencies, when battles get really intense."

Amaya took some of the tea her grandfather had given her after smiling up at him in thanks. It didn't last long though before her grandmother had asked Arin if he could fight and what weapons he preferred to use. Amaya hadn't any idea why her grandmother wanted to know. She probably wanted to make sure whomever Arin was that he could fend for himself.
It was embarrassing though the way Ai was treating them. Well, Amaya had warned Arin about her grandmother. The thing is, he just didn't know the full extent of it. As Arin indulged her, showing her some of his weapons and implying about the keyblade, it was probably a good thing he didn't reveal it. Ai wouldn't try to take the weapon from Arin but Amaya wasn't sure what Ai would do.
"I see, young but wise to have not just offensive abilities but defensive as well." Ai gave Arin a nod, seeming to have calmed considerably thanks to the tea. Amaya eased down some as well since it looked like her grandmother wasn't going to do anything crazy. That didn't prepare any of them for the next question Ai sprang upon them.
"Are you the reason why my grand daughter's been gone for a year and a half?" Amaya almost choked on her tea. Spluttering for a moment, Amaya wiped the tea off her face.
"Grandma!" Amaya exclaimed, clearly unhappy with Ai for that comment. She made sure to keep her gaze fixed on Ai, her faced turned toward her grandmother and not toward Arin to conceal the embarrassment written all over her face. How can someone just ask someone such a question?!
"D-Don't blame him for my absence. I only just ran into him recently," Ai looked then at Amaya. What anger there had been before had been gone. Instead, she was now focused on her grand daughter. No doubt, her anger earlier had stemmed from not seeing Amaya or Asami for a long time.
"Then, why were you gone for so long? Where is Asami? Where are your friends, Amaya?" Ai had questioned her. This time, her tone was even and sounded like it was concerned, was there saddness too? It didn't really show on the elderly woman's face but she had calmed down considerably. Their arrival must have just overwhelmed her.

Arin nodded his head in gratitude when Ai praised his ability to fight both offensively and defensively, but was caught off guard when she indirectly accused him of being the reason why Amaya was gone for 18 months. He was about to say something in his defense after Ai questioned him, but Amaya spoke up instead, defending himself, and claiming that she was to blame for being gone so long.
When Ai started questioning her on this, he lowered his head, a saddened look on his face "…That's…Why we came here today, Mrs. Fukui…I've been with Amaya long enough to know most of her story…But I think it's best you hear it from your granddaughter…"

Ai looked over at Arin as he had lowered his gaze, a sad expression on his face. Instead of anger, Ai just seemed to subtly grow concerned as she listened to what he was saying. Slowly, as Arin had urged her to, Ai looked over at Amaya. Amaya had also lowered her gaze. Just like Arin, her expression was sad.
It had been the most difficult thing to do. Amaya told Ai the entire story from beginning to close. How she had traveled with Arin to Twilight Town and then to the Sorcerer's Loft. For Arin's sake, she didn't reveal that he was a keyblade wielder since he didn't seem to want to tell Ai that piece of information either. He might have alluded to it but he hadn't revealed that fact so Amaya respected that and didn't mention it in her story at all. When it came to the solution that Yen Sid had for the situation, Amaya had faltered.
"...Go on, child...spit it out." Ai's tone was more gentle. She could see what Amaya was going to say without her having to say it though. It wasn't good news, that was for sure. Amaya breathed in, fighting back tears before she lifted her gaze and looked her grandmother and grandfather in the eyes before speaking.
"The only way to save them...is to kill them. Th-There's...no other way...that's why..." Amaya had lowered her gaze again as tears spilled out from her eyes against her will. Amaya hated to cry. It made her feel ridiculous as she wiped away at her face stubbornly even tough she knew it was no use right now with her so worked up. She felt only an inch tall. "That's why I've been...gone for so long. I've been trying...trying so damn hard...just to find another option..." Amaya said before covering her face with her hands. She caved, no longer able to hold back the rush of emotions that spilled out of her then.
Ai and her grandfather went silent. Ai had lowered her gaze as she shut her eyes, breathing in. Amaya's grandfather's eyes seemed to have been overshadowed when he had dipped his head forward too. Such news was not easily taken. However, it wasn't clear what they thought of this or Amaya.
"Then...you have to do...what you have to do, child." Amaya blinked through her tears as she dared to look over at her grandmother. There were tears in her eyes as well. "As a Dragoon Warrior...and as their friend...and family...you must do this." Amaya nodded her head slowly. "It will be a hard journey and a hard battle...you two may rest here until you're ready to set out again. Before you go, we will provide you two with provisions and anything else we think you will need..." With that, Ai got to her feet and left the room. The situation was just too much for her and she refused to let her grand daughter see her like this. Amaya's grandfather had remained. Getting to his feet, he had walked over and gently hugged Amaya.
"You are strong, Amaya...you can...do this. No matter how hard. We have faith in you."

Arin closed his eyes and turned his head away, he hated Yen Sid's answer just as much as Amaya's family did. But he was glad that Ai and Amaya's grandfather had understood their situation, and even consoled her as she couldn't take the pain of the thought of what she had to do anymore.
He heard footsteps, and realized that Ai was walking out of the room, most likely to mourn in solitude. Amaya's grandfather walked over and hugged Amaya, reassuring her that she could do what must be done, and that he and Ai had faith in her.
He raised his head high, looking into her grandfather's eyes with a fire that burned brightly in the quiet room "…I swear, Mr. Fukui, on my life, and my honor as a Keyblade warrior…I will protect your granddaughter…No matter the cost…"

Amaya just couldn't hold it in anymore now that she had admitted it. Still, it felt better to be consoled by her family. She didn't want to kill her friends and Asami. However, her situation forced her hand. She would be the one to give her sister and their friends mercy by putting them out of their misery. It wasn't an easy decision and most likely it wouldn't be an easy thing to carry out. Amaya had a real heavy burden placed upon her shoulders. Even more so, her place as a Dragoon warrior also forced her into this. It was her responsibility.
As her grandfather embraced her, Amaya buried her face into her grandfather's arms and just let it all go. She had released eighteen months worth of sadness that she had felt. Amaya felt pathetic, caving in like that and giving in to her emotions but she just couldn't keep it in for much longer.
Amaya's grandfather had lifted his gaze then as a voice reached him. Bringing his gaze onto Arin, he heard him promise to protect Amaya no matter the cost. Arin was a Keyblade warrior. The look in the young man's eyes spoke truth. Arin was genuine in what he had said just now. Slowly, Amaya's grandfather gave a nod of acknowledgement.
"Thank you, Arin...it is good to know that Amaya will not be alone in this. I do not think she would be able to go through with this by herself..." Amaya's grandfather trailed off as Amaya started to calm down in his arms. "It will be alright, Amaya."[/'b] Gently, as soon as he was sure that Amaya was done, he had released her but kept a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Why don't I show you two where you'll be staying?" With that, Amaya's grandfather got to his feet and gestured for them to follow him. They would go down a large hallway on their left. It was the same one Ai had escaped down but she was nowhere in sight.

Arin stood and offered to help Amaya to her feet, waiting for her to accept or decline before following her grandfather to their sleeping chambers. On the way, Arin felt the need to ask something "Mr. Fukui? About what I said back in the living room about honor. If you tell your wife, could you just leave it as a nonspecific type of honor? I'd prefer to tell her in person when I get the chance, there's also some things I'd like to ask her, when we've all calmed down."

As her grandfather had started to head out into the hallway, Amaya had been busy wiping away the tears from her face. She still felt like crap. She didn't realize that Arin had even stood up until he had extended a hand into her line of view. Blinking, Amaya didn't seem to register it before realizing that it was Arin when she looked up. Ashamed, even though she didn't really have to feel ashamed for crying, Amaya lowered her gaze. She slowly reached out and took his hand, Amaya let him help her up back to her feet.
The walk down the hallway, Amaya was silent. As Arin spoke to her grandfather, she barely registered what they were even saying right now. She was lost in thought with what she had to do and how she was going to manage it.
Amaya's grandfather didn't look back at Arin as he spoke, since he couldn't anyway. His neck was stiff from old age. He let out a chuckle in response to what the lad had said. "No worries, Arin. I don't think my wife is willing to talk much tonight anyway. We've all got a rough night..." the old man trailed off as they turned down the right, another hallway branching off from the one they had been in. Down this one, there were three sliding doors open. Walking over, Amaya's grandfather indicated the first one.
"Here's your bedroom, Amaya. We left it just like you had left it. Try to get some sleep." Amaya nodded. Without looking at Arin or her grandfather, she spoke only one word. "Night." Entering the room, she closed the sliding doors behind her and walked further into the room so that her shadow was no longer visible.
Amaya's grandfather gestured for Arin and lead him down to the last one. "Here's one of our guestrooms. It should have everything you need. Should you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. Have a good night, Arin...and thank you." The old man bowed and then turned and left.
----------------------------------
By the time morning came, Amaya had risen bright and early, leaving the house for the outside. There, she located their old training grounds. Without Breakfast and without much care, Amaya started to go through the old routines that Ai had put her and her sister through. So, she was in a thoughtless, routine. She run around without her armor for at least eight laps. When that was done, she resorted to other tasks such as flipping, chin lifts, mostly physical things. It took her a good while before she was ready to summon her armor to herself.
Amaya appeared to be alone but her grandmother was there too. She had seated herself out of Amaya's line of sight on the deck. She watched her closely as Amaya was basically putting herself through torture. There was one such task that looked very complicated. It involved tossing flower petals into the air and the person that did so was expected to cleave each falling petal before it landed in two. That was what Amaya was trying to do. A task that she hadn't been able to do efficiently since first obtaining her armor.
"That child..." Ai murmured. It was difficult to see Amaya doing this to herself. Still, she understood the importance of needing a distraction and the need for training. She used to push Asami and Amaya but not to this point. For Amaya to have gone this long on her own all morning, Ai had to admit this was getting a little extreme.

Arin nodded in understanding when Amaya's grandfather told him Ai wasn't likely to speak with anyone today, kind of expecting it given her tough exterior "I understand, it can wait until tomorrow." He bowed in return and smiled, thanking the old man when he was given a guest room with everything that he would need for his stay. Arin was grateful to have met Amaya's grandfather, he was definitely what he expected of an elderly man, not like what he saw from Ai, who was definitely an unexpected outcome of this trip. When he was thanked by the old man, he fought back the emotions that welled inside of him. Bowing again in respect "You are most welcome…And for what it's worth…I'm very, very sorry about the others…Have a good night…" He walked into the room and slid the door shut. It reminded him of an old tatami room, something that some of the homes in his home world had. He laid down and tried to get some sleep, but it wasn't for at least an hour before slumber overpowered his troubled thoughts ========== Arin was a bit of a hard sleeper last night, not having had a good night's sleep in a long while, and having to run off of cat naps for the most part. When he left his room, he noticed Amaya's room was wide open, and vacant. Curious, he wandered around the house for a bit, that was when he spotted Ai sitting on the deck, staring out into the back yard. He snuck out and looked to where she had been watching, seeing Amaya training heavily on her own. He decided to find a seat on the deck and sit there for a bit, there were some things he wanted to ask the elderly woman, but he figured it should wait for a bit "…How long has she been at this?"

Amaya swung her scythe, unaware of her audience as she did her best to try and slice each and every petal in the air. She failed missing a large portion of them. Frowning, Amaya took another portion of the barrel that held more flower petals. Walking over to another part of the training grounds away from the scattered petals she had earlier, Amaya threw these ones up in the air and attempted to cleave those petals falling in the air as well.
While Amaya was busy doing this, seemingly driving herself not only hard but to the breaking point, Ai sat there. She knew that she wouldn't be able to stop Amaya once she was started. Unlike Asami, Amaya was much more stubborn than her elder sister. She had a willpower much stronger than anyone she knew. Amaya had always been the more difficult of the two ever since she was a child.
As Arin seated himself next to her, Ai hadn't looked over to indicate that she knew he was there. It wasn't because she was dismissing him or being rude, she was just simply watching her grand daughter go down what looked to be self destruction. When Arin had asked her how long Amaya had been out there for doing this, Ai let out a sigh. A concerned one. "She has been at it all morning since the crack of dawn."

Arin looked up at the sky, it had been several hours since sunrise, so Amaya must have been doing this for several hours straight. He sighed and shook his head "You know…Even for the short time I knew her…I could tell she had a stubborn streak…I don't suppose approaching her in this state would be a good idea?"

Amaya had, indeed, been at it for several hours straight with no breaks in between. She was exhausting herself and yet she carried on despite that. It were as if she wanted to cause herself to collapse. She wanted to train herself to the bone until she, herself, felt satisfied enough to call it quits. She failed a few times in cleaving the petals in the air but she seemed to progress a little further each time.
As Arin questioned Ai, she kept her gaze fixed on Amaya. In response, she had let out a sigh as well. "You are correct. Trying to get her to stop isn't easy. One would have to resort to tying her down or knocking her out to get her to quit. Once Amaya has her mind set on something, she will do just about anything to obtain what goals she hopes to achieve and nothing can turn her away from them. This much, I had learned since raising her and Asami when they were little. Asami was always the well behaved one where Amaya, although generally well behaved, was the one that often got into everything and all sorts of trouble. Her willpower is not something I have ever seen before."

Arin nodded as he listened to Ai explain Amaya's explanation of Amaya's stubbornness "I can understand that, she kind of gave me a lot of trouble when we first met, and even challenged me to a fight before finally letting me tag along." He chuckled softly "I admit, I didn't expect to walk into a civil war of sorts, but I don't regret my choices when I met Amaya in Hollow Bastion."
He watched Amaya, almost saddened that she was working herself so hard, just because of the heartache. It reminded him a lot of when he realized just how much time had passed since his recompletion. He leaned forward, staring out at the training grounds as Amaya pushed herself beyond the breaking point "…Mrs. Fukui, there's something that's been bothering me about Amaya's story. She said she was there experiencing the same thing that her sister and friends went through when they became corrupt…How is it she didn't end up the same way? I assume it has something to do with her armor, she said it was more living than sentient, compared to the other armors…Just what is the black Dragoon armor?"
