Amaya went quiet as Arin stated that she didn't have to apologize. That he had avoided taking advantage of her. He had a good time joking and flirting with her. Just how much did she flirt anyway? Enough to have taken them this far, didn't she?
She turned around, looking over at him, about to say that he could turn around but he already had. He was now asking her if she even remembered anything last night of what they said or did. Slowly, she shook her head.
Arin wasn't all that surprised when Amaya said she didn't remember anything from last night, all of it sort of a blur to her. He didn't want to make her feel anymore embarrassed than she already was, especially since he reciprocated those feelings, so he decided not to bring it up.
"Don't worry about it then, we don't need to talk about it now." His blushing face showed there was definitely something to talk about, but as long as she didn't press the subject, neither would he.
Suddenly, Hercules burst into the room, sword in hand. The sudden intrusion forced Arin to take to the defensive, leaping over the bed and summoning his keyblade. Both warriors calmed down when they saw that nothing was wrong "…Sorry…I heard a scream and thought you might need some help." Arin sighed and dismissed his keyblade, walking back over to where his shirt and jacket laid on the floor and picked them up, dressing himself "Everything's fine, Herc, just a little misunderstanding from the wine last night.
Herc blushed slightly and started heading to the door leading out of the room "…I see…Carry on then…" He exited the room and shut the door behind him. Arin sighed and sat on the bedside, rubbing his forehead softly "…Well, I can't say that wasn't expected, after that scream you made." He looked at Amaya, wondering what her reaction might have been.
Amaya guessed there were things that happened the night before but she didn't want to ask right now. How could she have let herself get so drunk that she couldn't remember anything? If Arin hadn't been lucky enough to not drink as much that night they would have been in a very bad situation by now. She inwardly berated herself for it.
Then, Hercules came bursting into the room. Amaya blinked over at him in surprise as Arin whipped out his keyblade. The two took a moment to look at each other before calming down. When Hercules said he had heard the scream, Arin explained there was a misunderstanding. Hercules seemed to understand and headed back outside. Arin had, during that time, out his shirt and jacket back on before sitting on the bed, rubbing his forehead. He said that such a reaction wasn't unexpected after she had screamed. She frowned over at him.
"And how else was I suppose to react?" Amaya retorted.
Arin sighed and raised his hand up, dismissing her retort because he didn't want to deal with a heated argument right now "I know, I know. You had every right to freak out like you did, you don't have to scowl at me." He looked up into Amaya's eyes, blushing for a brief moment after thinking about the kiss that they shared, before looking away, embarrassed.
Arin, sensing an argument, had raised his hand to cease it before it got worse. As he stated that he knew, she had every right to freak out. She didn't have to scowl at him for it though. Suddenly, Arin locked eyes with her before looking away almost immediately. Amaya wasn't sure why he was so embarrassed. Then again, what things had she done last night?
Arin didn't maintain eye contact with Amaya for a while. When she asked if she was bad, he finally looked back into her eyes, blushing again but trying to stay calm and explain what happened last night.
"…You weren't bad…You just didn't have any inhibitions. I think you were acting on certain bottled up emotions that the wine helped you bring out, some I didn't think you were capable of, given how calm and serious you could be usually…"
He swallowed hard, bracing himself for what was likely going to happen next after he leaked this next bit of information to Amaya "…Like I've proven to you before, nothing got too serious last night…But…well…" He blushed deeply at this point, his hands fidgeting a little bit as he remembered how he had returned her kiss "……We did…kiss…" He broke eye contact at this point, embarrassed.
Amaya wondered just how bad she was considering how difficult it was for Arin to look her in the eyes now. Finally, he looked her in the eyes again, blushing once more. He explained that she hadn't been bad but she didn't have her usual inhibitions. He thought that she had been acting on bottled up emotions that the wine brought out. Things that Arin didn't think she was capable of. Amaya crossed her arms, looking at him seriously. Was he trying to say that she knew what she was doing when drunk?
Then, he told her that like he had told her before, they hadn't done anything too serious. What he said next though had caused her to shout. There was a brief moment where she didn't even react. Then, out of disbelief and pure shock at what they had done, Amaya couldn't hold it back anymore.
Arin flinched when Amaya reacted harshly, and -of course- loudly, already regretting his decision. Still, the damage had been done, and now she knew, so he might as well fill her in on the details.
"…We kissed…Twice…Each of us kissed the other once…" He didn't hold eye contact with Amaya, worried that she might be furious with the fact that they had kissed, and not just that they had kissed, but that one of them was initiated by himself. He braced himself for the worst, already expecting a slap, or a lecture, something that ended up with him being admonished for their actions last night.
Amaya clutched at her head when Arin said they hadn't kissed once but twice. Only one of the kisses had been initiated by her, Arin had likely done the other. "TWICE?!" she exclaimed. No one could blame her for reacting the way she was.
She had half a mind to slap him. Then again, could she? They were both under the influence. Neither of them had been able to think more clearly. "Because we were drunk...I'm not going to clobber you."
Arin laughed shakily when Amaya gave him a free pass for being drunk, rubbing his neck nervously as he continued to avert his gaze. He wasn't sure he was going to get out of this without some sort of physical punishment, but here goes.
"…I know we were both drunk…and I was the only one who could remember what we did…But kissing you felt nice, and…I wouldn't mind doing that again, when we're both thinking clearly."
He blushed after confessing how he felt about last night, already expecting getting hit in response for admitting to liking what they did. Still, now was a good a time as any to admit it, while they were talking personal. "…You're a cute girl, Amaya…And I know this is HORRIBLE timing, given what we still have to do…But I really like you…"
Amaya felt embarrassed to no end. How could she have allowed herself to get so drunk that she couldn't remember a thing? She felt embarrassed about how close Arin and she had been. If Arin had been any more drunk, they would have done worse. The two of them had kissed. Not just once but twice. It made her redden. Part of her wanted to have remembered it but she couldn't.
What happened next, Amaya didn't expect. She had to squint over at him to properly see him. Her mind just couldn't seem to grasp what was said. It took her a few good moments before realizing what Arin was saying. As soon as she realized it, Amaya's face flared up. He wouldn't mind kissing her again? It had felt nice? Amaya couldn't help but look perplexed and all the while, blushed. Then, Arin followed up with revealing what he thought of her and how he felt.
This, of course, surprised Amaya. She had suspected there was something but now she realize what it was. Amaya felt the same toward Arin. What should she say? It was all so sudden.
"Y-You...like me?" Amaya repeated, blushing. She could see him more fully now. Her face was just as red as his was. After a moment, Amaya slowly smiled.
Arin didn't look up yet when he heard Amaya's response, of course she would want to hear him repeat it, that was one thing not many people said to one another "Yeah…I like you…A lot…" His face reddened even more after repeating himself, he hadn't just confessed once, but three times to the same girl in less than 24 hours, albeit only two of them were remembered by either one.
What he didn't expect, was Amaya confessing in return. His face blushed up even more, and he looked up to see her smiling at him. Well, this was a surprise. Not only were things going well after the drunk fiasco last night, they had both confessed to each other that they shared mutual feelings for one another. He started smiling in return, rubbing his nose shyly.
"Heh…Wow…I didn't expect you to tell me that…But I'm really glad you did~"
Amaya watched as Arin looked back up at her when she had responded, reciprocating his feelings. He seemed to blush even more and she couldn't help but feel her face go warmer as well. Her face, too, had turned more scarlet. Was this maybe just some drunken dream she was having maybe? The dull, throbbing pain in her head reminded her that this wasn't. This was for real.
As Arin told her that he didn't expect her to tell him that, she looked at him confusedly. "Well...I guess I'm not easy to read...I tend to conceal most things. Er...and haven't really loosened up much ever since what has happened." Regardless, she wasn't upset about what he said about not expecting her to say the same.
Arin chuckled softly when she said she was sometimes hard to read, and that she tries concealing most things, which he assumed meant emotions "I kinda noticed that, it's understandable though, all things considered." It was good to know she wasn't upset with him at least, he could relax around her a bit more, and she could do the same.
She then asked what was next, now that they both knew that they shared feelings for one another. He just responded by standing up, and walking towards the room's entrance, stopping short of leaving the room to offer her a hand, smiling at her kindly "How about we take thins slow? We still have a mission to complete, and I still have my duty to you to make sure you stay safe, and stable-minded."
Amaya gave a nod in response to what Arin had said that he had noticed she tended to conceal most things. "...Wait a minute...I wasn't that obvious, was I?" she questioned him curiously. Oh well, not that it could be helped at this point. Everything was done and over with. They had confessed their feelings for each other. Now, she could relax a little better around him.
When Amaya had asked Arin what happened next, he got up and walked toward the only entrance and exit to the room they had been staying in. As he reached it, Arin turned to her and held out his hand to her with a smile on his face. He was suggesting that they take things slowly. As she walked over to him, Amaya took his hand and gave a nod of agreement. Where they had confessed, they still had a lot to do. Taking things slow seemed the best course.
"Alright then, slow it is." Amaya walked out of the room with Arin, holding his hand.
Arin smiled when she agreed to taking things slow for now, his mind on the task at hand, but also on something else as well "Slow it is…But, if you want to relive one of those kisses before we go meet the others…I wouldn't be against at least one of them. I can't be the only one between us remembering how it felt to kiss each other~" His face had lightened a while back, but it was blushing again when he brought that topic up, and feeling a little bold for saying such.
Arin had acknowledged what she had agreed to. However, before they were to head outside, he said that if she wanted to then they could relive one of those kisses they had shared the night before. According to him, he couldn't be the only one that remembered how it felt to kiss each other. His voice was a little sing song as he had said it.
Amaya could see Arin's face redden again. "Well, aren't you bold?" she retorted. Amaya inched her face toward his as she responded. "Help me remember," she said with a smile, nearing her lips toward his.
Arin chuckled when Amaya called him bold, rubbing his neck nervously "Heh…Yeah…Sorry if I was being too forward." He was immediately silenced when he looked over and saw Amaya's smiling face mere inches from his, and only getting closer. She wanted him to help her remember how it felt to kiss him.
"O-Okay!" Trying not to panic, he took slow, deep breaths, and released her hand to wrap his arms around her waist, their lips less than an inch away from one another *Moment of truth Arin. You did this with wine in you, now prove you can do this sober!*
Their lips met, and for the moment, it was a gentle kiss. Until Arin tightened the embrace and slowly increased the amount of passion he had put into the kiss itself. Amaya could feel his warm body around hers, and his warm lips pressed firmly against her lips and smacking them together. He was a bit amateurish, but he definitely showed that he learned something from the first two times at least. His eyes were closed, his lids loosely shut and enjoying the moment until it was over.
Amaya let out a soft chuckle when Arin, after apologizing for being bold thinking she was finding it to be too much, turned to her and looked like a deer caught in the headlights for a brief moment. Once he realized what was happening, Arin replied rather shakily before taking a few deep breaths. Amaya couldn't help but chuckle a little more in response before he had finally released her hand and wrapped his arms around her waist. Their lips were less than an inch away from one another, making Amaya blush.
Then, finally, their lips had met. At first, it was a gentle kiss before Arin had tightened the embrace which caused the pressure to increase in the kiss itself, making it more passionate. Amaya had shut her eyes as she kissed him back, their lips locked. She felt a sort of spark of energy pass through during the kiss, one not of magical nature but it certainly felt like it and she found that she enjoyed it.
When the moment was over and they were forced to break the kiss lest they passed out from lack of oxygen, Amaya opened her eyes and looked into Arin's. Who would have thought that things would have come this far between them? A light smile appeared on her face then, her face still rosy red. "Who would have thought that I'd fall for the one that beat me up?" she had teased.
Arin's nervous system was running on overdrive, the kiss sending electricity through his body as the kiss dragged out. He honestly wanted to keep kissing her, but he knew that they were wasting too much time standing there and making out. When they finally broke the kiss, he was blushing a bit more than Amaya was, more due to the fact that his emotional reaction to the kiss also provided a physical effect from kissing the one he loved, which he tried to ignore.
When Amaya teased about falling for someone who beat her up, he couldn't help but chuckle, lightly jabbing her shoulder with his bare fist "You gotta let that go, Maya~" He took Amaya's hand and started leading her out of the room, smiling brightly and walking with a visible spring in his step "Come on, let's get something to eat before we take our leave. We still have some more work to do, and I'm sure Hercules and the others are wondering how we're doing after our drunken escapade last night." He then looked back at her with a teasing grin "And you're welcome to ask me just how unrestricted you were with your inhibitions, the next time we speak in private~"
