[OOC: I'm famously bad at starting threads, so forgive me for that~ Things will get better as they go on, honest XP]
The peaceful, sunlit Twilight Town always seemed so very quiet, so empty aside from the shopkeepers in the town plaza's stalls and the occasional group of youngsters chasing after each other in good spirits. High above, the sun shone down as if stuck hanging perpetually in the sky... It was a strange sight. Xamakan wondered if there was ever any night on this world.
Speaking of Xamakan; she had just emerged from a Dark Corridor in one of the town's alleyways, and was now looking up at the sky with a hand horizontally above her eyes to shield them from that beating sun. Man, it's prettier here than I thought it'd be! the Nobody girl thought to herself, a grin spreading across her face out of 'muscle memory,' as she put it; an instinct based on what her human self would have done. I wonder what else is around...
Bringing her attention away from the sky, Xamakan refocused herself on why she'd actually come to this world to begin with. Somewhere in a book she'd read once, she had read that all Nobodies eventually found their way to 'Twilight Town,' a mansion to be exact, nestled in the realms between light and darkness; and so, as a Nobody, she'd felt the need to see 1) if that rumour was really true and 2) if there were any good shops or restaurants or cookie shops in this Twilight Town. (Mainly the latter. Much mainly the latter. Heck, even if the Nobody thing was a lie, she'd be happy if she could find a decent pizza parlour in this town.)
Stomach growling at the aforementioned thought of cookies, Xamakan smiled a bit to herself and began to walk ahead, down a set of stairs in front of her and into a wide open space (which was called 'the Sandlot,' unbeknownst to her.) Al-righty, alrighty! Where to from here, then~? she thought to herself, pausing a moment near one of the benches to look around at all the exits and entry points and wonder where to go from there on, absently twirling a lock of black hair around her finger and twisting her lips as she thought.

A dark portal appeared, emerging from it was Xaykel, the nobody of the sun. He stood straight as usual, his white hair messy as usual, but still managing to look good. The weird cloak he wore had the hod up, covering most of his face, as he looked around, seeing a few rouge Dusks. "Even though they are more intelligent than heartless, rouge and noone to lead them, Dusks are just as useless." He said as he picked up his whip. He let it whip in the air to catch their attention. "Front and center." He said as they obeyed and all gathered up. "Return to the void and undergo metamorphosis, then await summoning." He commanded, as they disappeared into darkness. Soon he would have ten new whip nobodies at his disposal. He then walked out, sensing other beings or darkness, though he couldn't tell. Were they nobodies, or heartless. He sighed and walked towards the mansion door.

I'mma just walk on forward an' see where it gets me, Xamakan finally decided after a couple minutes of thinking time, nodding her head a bit. Seems as good a place to go as any to me! With that, the Nobody girl began to walk across the sandlot to the exit directly opposite her. She noticed a few sulky-looking kids staring at her from the shadows not far away, looking as if they didn't take too kindly to strangers... For a moment, she frowned a little, before giving them a wave and a cheerful "Hi there!" After all, just because they were being sulky didn't mean she had to, she thought as she turned back towards her destination.
She emerged to the sight of a long stairway right in front of her, and an exit to a larger area to the right, where she could see lots of shops and stalls and whatnot. Ooh, how much do I wanna go there, she thought with eyes somewhat widened with greed; stalls and shops may have meant they really did have the cookies and pizza her stomach was pining for. But then again, there's a staircase, an' there might be all kinds of awesome things up there? Oh, what do I do? Right, or left? Right or left? Right or--
Before this could go on any longer - and it really would have gone on much longer - the sight of movement caught Xamakan's attention. Turning to her right, she could make out some shapes moving a bit... some very familiar shapes, as it so happened. They're Nobodies! the girl realized as she watched the creatures; two Snipers floating about with guns in hand and three Dragoons floating behind them. So the book was right! Nobodies really do come to this town!
She was amazed; she barely ever read actual books about facts - they were usually too boring and wordy for her taste - but this one seemed to have actually paid off! The five Nobodies seemed to have a destination set, as they moved on without pausing or taking a break. Staircase officially forgotten about, Xamakan took to her heels and ran after the lesser Nobodies, following them into the Tram Common and onwards. Not too far away, there was a hole in a wall leading to who-knew-where... I wonder if that's where the Nobodies are goin' to? Xamakan wondered as she chased after her five somewhat-brethren.

Xaykel walked out of the mansion, moving into the forest, walking through seeing even more nobodies. He sighed and decided to ignore these ones, moving on until he got to the last part of the forest. He saw some nobodies, Snipers and Dragoons. Out of reflex he got ready to summon his nobodies when he saw a girl. At first he couldn't recognize her but then he remembered. The Girl...the one from my memories. He thought as he stood and stared curiously. He then turned back to his normal emotionless state realizing she was a nobody. No wonder he couldn't remember her name. He walked towards her, keeping eye on the lessers. "Hello mam."

Xamakan followed the five Nobodies through the hole in the wall, which led to a dark forest full of tall leafy trees. Her high-heeled boots padded softly against the grass underfoot as she slowed down, seeing that the Snipers and the Dragoons had come to a halt. Xamakan looked at them with curiosity as they seemed to watch while a person walked closer to their location; a tall man with white hair. The Nobodies seemed to have been coming toward his location; scouting him out, almost.
Xamakan looked at the man, her eyes moving up and down. Now that is a nice coat, she thought to herself, totally unaware that this man was the very one she'd been looking for practically since she was 'born.'
"Hello mam."
When the man greeted her, Xamakan offered a friendly smile. "Hi!" she waved a bit, before pausing a moment and lowering her hand a little; something about this guy was different to most people... for a start, he wasn't reacting badly to the lesser Nobodies still near her. Is this dude a Nobody too? she wondered, taking in his interesting appearance. For some reason, she wanted to know more about this man. Something in the very back of her mind was feeling an odd sense of deja vu, though she didn't realize the reason why. "Were you, uh, out for a walk?" The second it was said, she almost wanted to facepalm; that was the worst ice-breaker in the history of ice-breakers. Rubbing the back of her head, she went on to say, "My name's Xamakan, by the way, just so ya don't have to keep callin' me 'ma'am.' What's yours?" she asked, returning that cheerful grin she usually wore.

Xamakan offered a friendly smile. "Hi!" she said as she waved...so far same attitude. Then, she paused and lowering her hand a little...hopefully she doesn't thin of me as a thread. She seemed to be studying him, not that he cared. She seemed interested in his appearance. From the look on her face, she didn't recognize him...weird...though not knowing her name, he know her body well...that...sounded wrong... "Were you, uh, out for a walk?" Her words interrupted his thoughts. He laughed a bit, then paused. Did....he just laugh? The Girl went on to say, "My name's Xamakan, by the way, just so ya don't have to keep callin' me 'ma'am.' What's yours?" she asked, returning that cheerful grin she usually wore. He smiled, remembering that grin. Happiness...is...this what it feels like? "I am Xaykel." Was her name Xamakan back then...it didn't feel right. "Xamakan...nononono, that's cann't be right...Tell me, do you remember your human name?" He asked her.

The man laughed a bit, making Xamakan smile a bit, before he told her his name was 'Xaykel.' Xaykel... somehow that name was familiar, yet at the same time, it wasn't/ Did I know a 'Xaykel' as a human? No, I definitely didn't, she frowned a little in thought. But there was a boy, though I can't remember his face or his name. She looked back up at Xaykel. He couldn't be the same fella, right? "Uh, it's nice to meet you, Xaykel," she said out of politeness, despite her mind working at far too fast a pace for her to be comfortable with it. (Even though she couldn't be 'confortable' or 'uncomfortable,' she reminded herself.)
"Xamakan...nononono, that's cann't be right...Tell me, do you remember your human name?"
"My human name?" Xamakan asked, blinking. "So you know I'm not human?! Wow, that's impressive... though truth be told, I kinda had a feelin' about you, too," she said with a playful tone. The odd-sounding name, looks and actions all screamed 'Nobody' to her. "But, uh, that aside. Yeah, I remember-- the human woman who I came from's name, at least" she said to him, her tone a little different from its usual high-pitched tone; a little darker, and with a darker look in her eyes to boot. She did not associate with being 'Manaka,' ever since her unfortunate meeting with Mari all that time ago. "Her name was Manaka." She looked back at him and forced a strained-looking smile, though she felt decidedly empty at the moment. As Nobodies should, and as she usually did, only this time 'muscle memory' wasn't helping her look human.

"My human name?" Xamakan asked, blinking. "So you know I'm not human?! Wow, that's impressive... though truth be told, I kinda had a feelin' about you, too,"
"Well...yes I do know...it's an ablity more nobodies have." He explained.
"But, uh, that aside. Yeah, I remember... the human woman who I came form's name,"
She poke in a darker tone, weird, the thought of her previous life made her mad...most nobodies didn't feel emotion even when thinking about it.
"Her name was Manaka."
Suddenly he remembered her name, this was The Girl. He even remembered her nickname which he accidentally spoke outloud. "Naka...." He said his voice trailing off. "Oh...sorry...I am Xaykel...and I knew you when you were human." He said, his tone still emotionless. Somehow most of him was emotionless unlike most nobodies who at LEAST tried to fake it. He managed to the the most obvious nobody in existence.

Most Nobodies could recognise other Nobodies? Huh... maybe she just hadn't been around enough other Nobodies to know, Xamakan figured. Xaykel was the first Nobody she had ever met, certainly that she knew of at least.
But that wasn't important; none of that was. Xamakan was more interested in what he'd just said; that he'd known her when she was human; that he'd known Manaka. "Really? Is that right?" she asked, her eyes slightly widened in what would have been excitement if she could feel it; maybe this really was the boy from her memories... "Were you and I-- I mean, uh, you and Manaka; were you two, like, really close? Like, did you spend a lot of time with her and do a lot of stuff with her and get attacked by Heartless with her at the same time?" She was speaking very fast and practically all in the one breath as she took some steps closer to Xaykel, looking up at him with an intense look in her eye; she really, really wanted those answers, to piece together the last part of Manaka's memories that she couldn't remember.
Xamakan had to admit, though, although her 'emotions' and 'expressions' were just the by-product of muscle memory and Manaka's habits, she thought she actually felt something when he'd looked at her and called her 'Naka'...

"Really? Is that right?"
Her eyes slightly widened, mimicing excitement. Of course he should expect that, she didn't seem to recognize him. He'd let her continue, knowing she had more to say.

He said wide eyed. "Judging by the specifics of your description, that's a definite yes." He said reassuring her.

He said yes, Xamakan thought, just looking at him for a bit after he confirmed her suspicion. He actually said yes. This is 'the boy.'
Considering how hyperactive she'd been up to this point, most people would likely expect the girl to get 'excited' and be all over the man... but instead, she clasped her hands behind her back and turned away from him, chuckling a little bit.
"You know," she began, "I remembered a lot about human life. After I was 'born,' I mean," she said, looking up at the sky and thinking back. "I could remember my friends, and my mom, my hometown and all that. But I forgot you." Turning her head, Xamakan looked over her shoulder at the man; all her memories that had once been between her and a blurry shape or nothing at all suddenly made much more sense. "I couldn't think of your face, or your name, and it was drivin' me crazy."
After her little speech, she turned back to Xaykel and walked back up to him, smiling still. "I spent a lot of time tryin' to remember you, y'know. And now I have, so..." She didn't really know what to say here; she wanted to say 'it's good to see you again!' or something similar, but in her opinion, 'they'd' never really met before. Manaka and the human boy had met, sure, but Xamakan and Xaykel had only met about five minutes ago.
"I guess what I'm tryin' to say is, even though I'm not Manaka anymore..." She extended her hand for a handshake. "It's good to meet you at last!" That usual grin slipped across her face again, though it looked more genuine now than ever.

He listened to her speech. Not what he was expecting...he expected a glomp or hug but she was...calm...then again she was a nobody. She was good at faking being human, though he saw no point why.It made no sense to him. After she said what she said he remembered those where their past lives, and this a was the now. "Good to meet you too." he said. " So....tell me...do you want to become human again?

Xamakan was smiling still as he said it was good to meet her, as her memories began to line up a little more clearly in her mind; she remembered the boy being in them, what he sounded like and what he said back then, and that his name had been Kayle in those days.
"So....tell me...do you want to become human again?"
Those words, however, turned Xamakan's demeanour upside-down; she bristled a little, and her eyes narrowed just a bit. Ever since that encounter with the girl she'd known once, who was so determined to kill her so that Manaka could be reborn, she had absolutely hated the idea with what she swore almost felt like a passion inside. (And for a Nobody, that was a telling statement.) "No," she said simply, folding her arms and looking off to her left. "No, I don't. I feel like I - I Xamakan, not I Manaka - have the right to exist on my own, so I shouldn't have to be human again..."
Taking a deep breath in, Xamakan told herself to quieten these faux-feelings of anger and betrayal, and she gave Xaykel another smile. "How come? Do you wanna be human again?" she asked him, trying to be her usual friendly self, not wanting to let the anger that had to be false get in the way of her reunion with her friend from the past.

No? That's not what he expected. Then she explained it. Basically, she wanted to be her nobody and felt that she wanted to live as her nobody, not the human. Then he questioned if he wanted to be human again. "Yes I do. Why not you? Don't you feel...ummmm...how to describe this?...Empty? Don't you have some feeling of wanting your emotions back?" he questioned after getting his terms correct.

Xamakan shrugged a bit at Xaykel's question. "I've just never thought about it, I guess... I feel a bit too attached to what I got now to think about bein' human again, I reckon; but, I can understand why other people would wanna get their hearts back, I guess I'm tryin' to say," she nodded a bit. She was finding it hard to put into words exactly what it was that she thought about becoming human and Manaka and all that; on one hand, actually feeling the things she was so good at expressing would have been nice, but on the other hand, she didn't want to let go of her own 'existence' and return to being part of another person's. It was an odd situation. "I'd like to be able to feel stuff but not be 'Manaka,' if you know what I mean; like, to still be 'me' but with emotions. Gosh, that makes no sense, does it?"
She sighed a little bit at her lack of understanding of her own thoughts, and rubbed the bridge of her nose a bit, looking to the side. Xamakan really wasn't all that different from Manaka, and that thought was a little 'frustrating,' insomuch as it could be. "But, if it's any help to you, though," she said, perking up a bit as an idea suddenly came to her, "my once-upon-a-time-sorta-friend-until-she-tried-to-kill-me told me how to turn a Nobody and a Heartless back into a human again..." She looked back to Xaykel. "You wanna hear it~?" she said with a bit of a smile, somewhat 'glad' that she at least had the opportunity to help someone out a bit (if she remembered Mari's ranting right, and if Mari was even right to begin with.)

"well that was confusing." He said out loud. "BUT I understand. You want your heart back but to still be Xamakan." He said explainiing her thoughts. He was about to say she couldn't do that, but then she offered to tell him how a heartless and nobody became a somebody again. He already knew, but lets see if her friend was right. "Please do tell Xakan." He said giving her a new nickname without meaning to.

Xamakan rubbed the back of her head and giggled a bit when he said her explanation was confusing. "Yeah, I have that effect on people sometimes. Sorry though~" she apologised, bowing a bit. When he summed up her thoughts, she clicked her fingers and pointed at him. "Yes! See, you get me. Barely any-one else does," she said, bouncing on her heels a bit. It was good to have someone who could put her slightly confusing train of thought on a rail that was easier to follow and actually wound up at the right destination.
When he asked for the explanation and called her Xakan, the Nobody girl giggled again. "Oh, now I've gotta think up a cute nickname for you, too," she beamed. His name was Xaykel, right? Gosh, better keep that in mind if you're gonna nickname him...
"But, um, that aside," she said, letting herself be a little more serious on a subject like this; after reading about that group of Nobodies who put the letter X in their names, Xamakan knew well enough that getting hearts back was an important thing for a lot of Nobodies, so Xaykel might well have been the same. "If I remember right - though this might be kinda wrong, 'cause it's kinda hard to remember what people are tryin' to tell you when they're tryna kill ya - she said that the way for a Nobody and a Heartless to be human again is for the Heartless and the Nobody to be killed," she explained, subconsciously making a slitting motion across her throat to emphasize the point. "With the heart released and the body and soul waiting, the human should rise up again in the place where they lost their heart... though that might be totally wrong, Iunno," she said, suddenly returning to her cheerful, grinning self, hoping her explanation had been of some use to her friend.

Xaykel laughed when she brought up giving him a nick name, unaware of giving her one. "If you want to." He said as he listened to her explanation. "Yep that's how it works." He confirmed her. "It requires a keyblade, otherwise the heart won't be released and the heartless will resurrect later." He explained. "So guess Manaka and....what...ever my name was, won't be meeting then." He said, not seeming to care as usual. "Well...at least I'll remember you when I go back to human." He said trying to keep a bright side to it.

Xamakan just listened as Xaykel spoke, inwardly pleased (well, pleased as she could be) about having gotten the explanation about Nobodies and Heartless reforming into humans right, though also slightly 'disappointed' that he already seemed to know about it. Ah, well. Least you got it right, anywho! She couldn't help but wonder, though; she'd never heard the part about the... what was it he said again, 'Keyblade'? Yeah, that's it. She hadn't known that part; not that it mattered either way, she figured, seeing as how she was the Nobody and not the Heartless. Oh, yay! So I can just be killed by anythin', then. Not a happy thought, but as a Nobody, she was hardly going to get cut up about it.
When Xaykel spoke of his human self and Manaka not getting to meet again, but went on to say that at least he would remember her, Xamakan gave a smile though her thoughts raced a bit. Oh gosh, you don't think he's gonna hold it against me for not wantin' to be human again?! I mean, he doesn't look too fussed, but then again, Nobodies never actually are, so-- wait a second. Nobodies are never fussed, why are you gettin' in such a twist? That thought, Xamakan's mind shut itself up. Sometimes all it took was remembering that she couldn't actually feel emotions to quieten the muscle memory and her false ones.
"Your name was Kayle when you were a human," she said with a bit of a smile, "just in case you were wonderin'. I had forgotten that for the longest time, but when I saw your face again, it all came back to me like a punch in the face!" That maybe wasn't the best expression to explain how suddenly it had went on, but Xamakan wasn't thinking much about word choice at the moment. ...Or at any moment, really.
Looking around, Xamakan saw that the five Nobodies - the two Snipers and the three Dragoons - had left, meaning it was just herself and Xaykel in the forest. "So, uh," she began, not exactly good with silence yet not knowing quite what to say. "Was there anythin' else you wanted to talk about, or somewhere you were goin'? Either way, we should probably get outta the dark forest, huh?" she gave a bit of a giggle. The 'dark forest' was actually quite pretty in her opinion, but it didn't exactly seem like the most welcoming place for conversation... and she was sure it was just her mind playing tricks on her, but there was something about the place that made it feel as if the shadows were watching her. Not a creepy thought to a Nobody, but one that kept her alert.

"Kayle... makes sense considering my new name." He observed. "Why leave?" He questioned. " I mean, only nobodies no of this place." Meanwhile, a portal opened as a man walked through, one weird in appearance. He was Discord, the heartless of Kayle. He stood in the middle of a busy street and spoke in a loud voice. Here, he wore blue rags which covered most of his body.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOYS AND GIRL, GATHER AROUND AND BEHOLD TRICKS NEVER BEFORE SEEN ON THIS WORLD." He said with excitement. All of the people turned towards him gathering around with interest. Time for a slaughter.
